Mary Ellen with Weddings with Heart & Elope Bend is the most idealistic officiant possible.
Working with Mary Ellen was easy, fun, and thorough. I never felt alone or abandoned and my husband and I were able to edit and change and personalize our ceremony to perfect what Love meant to us. Mary Ellen was (is) personable, warm, comforting, and smart. She is quick to catch onto your personalities, your relationship, and she can pinpoint the special bits that make your relationship and marriage unique and brilliant. When, a few days before our elopement, a problem occurred with our destination, Mary Ellen helped us to figure it out with clear communication and a timely response. We never doubted that we would be taken care of. She brings joy and she brings laughter. We were truly lucky to have been married by her. She helped us to create a special ceremony that was entirely our own and something I will remember fondly forever. Thank you Mary Ellen! -

Mary Ellen Deckelman was the PERFECT officiant for our special day. We wanted to keep our ceremony personal to us. Mary Ellen spent time with us beforehand getting to know both of us & our relationship. She tailored our ceremony to our personal relationship and location..... It was magical. Amazing, fun and organized officiant
We were so lucky to have Mary Ellen as our officiant during our summer wedding. She created a beautiful ceremony with us and helped organize us all at rehearsal and for the big day. We had no planners and I knew very little about weddings so she really came to our rescue when it came to the flow and details. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding officiant! Mary Ellen was awesome to work with! Personable, easygoing, and super genuine. We wanted a quick and simple ceremony and she provided awesome templates that we were able to customize and make special. All super easy! Mary Ellen was the most responsive and fun officiant that I had talked with during planning. She was so flexible with changes and made amazing suggestions. MaryEllen is truly the best. From start to finish of the process , she made things so easy. She really took the time to write our ceremony and wanted it to be perfect for us. She made us feel so comfortable before, during and after the wedding. . She made us feel loved and so happy. She has a great personality and is so funny! She even dressed in fall colors because that was our theme. I highly recommend her 110% !!! Thank you so much for making our day so special. -

Mary Ellen was wonderful to work with. She listened attentively, helped guide us when we were feeling overwhelmed, and delivered exactly what she promised. If it were any other scenario I would say we would definitely use her services again in the future! The plan is to only need to once though. -

She married us twice and both times were magical
If you’re looking for a creative, grounded, authentic officiant - MaryEllen is who you want! She performed an intimate ceremony with a couple of our friends for an elopement on the canyon rim near Scout Camp. She then performed our ceremony almost a year later at FivePine Lodge when we celebrated with our families. Her communication throughout the planning process was amazing and she really got to the heart of why my wife and I wanted to get married. She is so well spoken and makes the ceremony process so easy. She has some great ideas already but is more than willing to change things up to cater towards what couples are envisioning. She really gets to the roots of our relationship to highlight the unique love each person brings. Thank you thank you thank you! If we have a third ceremony you’ll be the one we call! Thank you for making (both) of our ceremonies magical! -

Perfect for Our Intimate Low-Key Wedding!
Mary Ellen did a fantastic job of creating a ceremony that fit us to a ‘T’. She really took the time to get to know us personally and our love story. Although we had a small wedding, we were still nervous to be the center of attention - Mary Ellen really helped ground us, bring us into the moment and cracked a few jokes to help ease our tensions. Our family absolutely loved the way she presented herself and the ceremony. They had so many complimentary comments after the wedding. Thanks for making our wedding everything we imagined in such a strange time (married in June 2020)!! -
