Flawless Execution on Every Level

Do yourself a favor, hire them now! My wife and I wanted a destination wedding without the hassle of working through all the logistics and difficult planning ourselves. Not only was THIS made reality, but on the planning side, things could NOT have gone better. We started contact with our coordinator around 6+ months out. And every time we talked she provided thoughts and ideas when they were needed but was equally open to our input and ideas on how we make this day OURS. Which brings me to THE day. Everything went EXACTLY as planned. The smallest of details were handled with the utmost care. We didn't have to worry about a thing! Everything was as it was described. There were no surprises, no let-downs, no "I wish we'd thought of THAT." Flawless execution. I am 100% recommending their services. In addition, the companies they partner with from the transportation to the photographer are top notch pro's. If you want the complete worry-free package, you've found it. Trust me.

Everything I imagined

My husband and I were recently married at Magens Bay in St. Thomas. We live in Wisconsin so of course I had a lot of questions and quite a few changes due to it being a destination wedding. Erica was able to answer every question and/or request we had. We had a vision of our perfect wedding and Erica made it happen! She’s so kind and professional and I’d highly recommend her to anyone getting married in St. Thomas. 💜

Erica @ Weddings The Island Way Far Exceeded Our Expectations

We hired Erica for my daughter's wedding on 6/7/19 and she was professional, detailed, creative, warm, friendly and experienced. She managed every little detail from the planning, wedding license, flowers, music, cake, beach alter and seating, and officiant. She supported my daughter through the pre-anxiety wedding planning emotions all the way through the ceremony. If we could, we would rate Weddings the Island Way much higher, but we could only give them a 5/5. We gave our travel agent a list of visions/wants/needs and she shared them all with Erica. We never actually came into communication with Erica until meeting her on the cruise port in St. Thomas an hour before our wedding. However, the minute we saw each, we greeted each other with great big hugs and kisses! It was like she was a cousin and/or friend and we have known each other forever. She drove us to the courthouse, while our guests went to Lindquist Beach via transportation Erica arranged for our guests. It was a HOT St. Thomas July day and refreshing water bottles were provided to everyone on the way to the wedding. Once we set foot onto the beach we got teary-eyed. It was EVERYTHING we envisioned; from the colors, to the location, décor; minister, etc. Erica knew us without knowing us; she was delightful to work with the day of the wedding and everyone she hired for us (steel pan player, photographer, minister, cake baker, caterer, bus drivers) worked with us and were all extremely pleasant. Our wedding was literally like something you only see in professional photos on the internet; in our eyes, it was perfect in every sense! We did had a hiccup with our plans; originally we were suppose to get married at Magen's Bay. We were very disappointed when we found out it wasn't going to be possible but once Erica explained to us why, she quickly had a back-up plan! She went to Lindquist Beach, took pictures from her phone to show us what Lindquist Beach looked like. It was comparable to Magen's Bay and end of the day, we became Mr. & Mrs. in St. Thomas, where we wanted our wedding to happen.
We felt like our wedding was the most beautiful beach wedding ever and we also felt as if we left that day with a new set of St. Thomas friends! Erica, Juliet, Rudy, and Angela, we are going to hit you up next time we are in St. Thomas!!! Erica, can't THANK YOU enough!

The cruise line changed our itinerary b/c of a possible hurricane......having us arrive in St. Thomas A DAY LATER! The staff was great! They were able to make the changes and it appeared seamless. The photographer was awesome. Our official was great and allowed us to modify the vows to suit us. I highly recommend this organization.

Weddings the Island way is the absolute best route to go if you’re planning your dream destination wedding on the islands!

I cannot say enough great things about the process of putting together my big day and the woman who made it all happen! Erica was able to accommodate every request I dreamt up and had a lot of great ideas to bring to the table as well. She made my fairytale wedding come to life and we could not have asked for a better person to do so!
Erica makes you feel welcomed right off the bat. Almost like a family member or friend rather than a company. You will be the best hands and trust me, Weddings The Islands Way will make your dreams come true too.

I used Erica for my June wedding at Magen's Bay on St. Thomas. Everything about the experience was amazing. I had a pretty simple ceremony with an arch, bouquet, and table set up with a small cake a champagne for a toast. I sent pictures from Pinterest to match for the arch and bouquet, and both turned out fabulous. Erica answered all of my emails promptly and made sure I was happy with the progress we were making in the planning- though I didn't have to do much! I would refer Weddings the Island Way to everyone!

I would rate Wedding the Island Way higher if I could. Booking a wedding and leaving most of the planning to people you have never met was very scary at first. But Erica and Angela made it work so simple. My wedding was like a fairy tale, perfect in every way. I let them pick the flowers and colors and asked their opinion on everything and I am so glad I did. Looking for a perfect wedding, definitely call Wedding the Island Way. Not only will you walk away with a magical wedding day but also you will feel like you leave with friends on the island.

If you want the best wedding ever possible -Angela and Erica are the ONLY way to go! They were perfectly amazing and delivered the wedding of our dreams with the grace and poise that only people that truly care can. These ladies are not only phenomenal at what they do but truly great people. The vendors they work with are also spectacular. Tim Root was especially awesome and works flawlessly with these beautiful ladies. Our cake from island sweet stuff was raved about by all our guests as well as our the delicious food and drinks from Passion Fruit Chefs. We couldn't imagine trusting such a special day to anyone else on the island! You can't go wrong with Weddings the Island Way!

Erica and Angela put tremendous care into planning my daughter’s September 2016 ceremony on Magens Bay. We had initially booked an island ceremony through the cruise line. (We were sailing.) Frustrated by the layers and lack of communication there, we turned to WTIW. Erica wowed us from the start. My daughter was especially concerned about how the bride and groom could both sign for a marriage certificate at the St. Thomas courthouse without seeing each other pre-ceremony. The cruise line had shrugged and recommended a symbolic ceremony. Erica understood that we wanted the real deal, and she outlined a plan that gave me goose bumps in its sweetness and simplicity. She sent pictures of how WTIW could decorate a beach pavilion, had her husband critique a local beer we considered serving, and always worked the plan around my daughter’s vision, not just an Internet checklist menu. When Hurricane Matthew caused a cruise re-route that surpassed a St. Thomas port of call, we were all crushed. Erica sent condolences—and refunded part of our “nonrefundable” down payment. She stayed in touch with prayers for good weather during the rescheduled ceremony in Georgia—and with notes of congratulations afterward. So…if you’re planning a St. Thomas wedding, some words of advice: (1) Schedule it outside the hurricane season. (2) Buy wedding insurance! (3) But definitely reach out to the ladies at WTIW. They’ll take excellent care of you, I’m quite sure of it!

Weddings the Island Way
We contacted Erica at "Weddings the Island Way" of St. Thomas U.S.Virgin Islands to arrange our plans (we eloped in such style!!) which, were modest and without a great deal of lead time. Erica, thru email and telephone walked us through the process, provided information and.... SUPPORT..... with the ever important paperwork needed. Our home is Canada. Being married in a foreign country means each "I" needs dotting and all T's properly crossed beforehand. We would arrive via cruise ship so everything needed to be in place ahead of time, and, we would have mere hours before the ship sails away to tie the knot! Weddings the Island Way were nothing short of fabulous!
When our wedding began, both Leila and I felt star struck! Pastor Jeff welcomed us with words we couldn't have possibly chosen. His connection with us, to the beauty of his "home" and obvious delight in offering space between words and deeds before the Creator on this beach so far from home leaves a mark only love could make.
We chose to take a chance and be married in a far off place where we had to trust in the unknown for our day to go well. The only unknown as it turns out, was the weather... and, could it ever be bad in such paradise? This choice we made left us a memory (not to mention a really sharp video and simply lovely photographs) that sparkles and shines.
My reason for this story is in the telling. Our simple, modest, incredibly important wedding was everything we hoped for. Erica accepted our "very small wedding" and treated it like a gala affair. We got married 12 years ago today on Megan's Bay and have never had a single complaint! We were on a cruise and had decided to simply trust Weddings the Island Way with everything. We had followed the instructions about sending in our information for the marriage license. Our planner met us at the ship at the appointed time and took us to city hall to sign our license. We then drove to Megan's bay where the preacher, photographer and flowers were already there. Our ceremony was simple and beautiful. I had previously asked how hard it would be to get a cab to take us around the island for additional pictures and our planner said she would handle this. The flowers were beautiful and Laura says she could not have picked anything better. As we finished with the photographer, our cab arrived. Perfect timing! We plan to renew our vows here and will gladly use Weddings the Island Way for this. FIVE VERY HAPPY STARS!

Fantastic experience with Angela and Erica! Amazing support while in the planning process AND during the event! Had to move the time around due to bad weather and they seemed to pull it off effortlessly! Very professional in ALL that they do but also felt like family while at our intimate ceremony. Left my mascara back at home and they even came through buying me a replacement before the ceremony. Really enjoyed the pastor and Mermaid Rebecca Ruth Photography, which they used, was wonderful! Can't say enough positive things about them and honestly feel that they LOVE what they do...it's not just a job for them it's a passion!

I had imagined that planning a St. Thomas destination from New York would be difficult, but truly, working with Erica & Angela at Weddings the Island Way was absolutely the best decision I could have made. To say that I am 'particular' would be an understatement. I wanted a classic, elegant, beautiful small wedding - and was concerned about choosing the right vendor to help with each detail (flowers, music, photographer, hair / makeup). They listened extremely closely to every detail - and executed flawlessly! Truly, hiring them was the hands-down best decision I made. Plus, they are absolutely amazing people and a true joy to work with, so by the time I met them in person on my wedding day, I felt like they were old friends! Angela came to us after we parted ways with another wedding planner we were having difficulties with. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone, she was incredibly sweet and attentive to each and every one of our details. We were in a unique situation as we were not on island, but - my husband was from St. Thomas and we had his parents there to assist us. Caneel provided us with a fantastic wedding planner, but we wanted some additional assistance and someone who would work with us to coordinate all our vendors seamlessly. Angela was that and more! I can't even begin to recommend her enough. She was organized, flexible, worked with our situation of being familiar with most of the vendors, and truly put her entire heart & soul into our wedding. I was very specific when it came to decorations and shipping our supplies from the states - she had no problems with this and took charge to ensure each and every table was designed just the way I had intended. It was everything we wanted and more and that was because of her. There was no detail left unturned and she truly held our hand through the entire process. For both on-island residents and off-island residents - Angela is the one to use. We simply love her!

WOW, where do I even begin? Angela and Erica were just amazing to work with. They coordinated everything for us via email. I have never been involved with an event that completely went off smoothly with not one issue. Everything was PERFECT. Even at the last minute Angela was able to coordinate with Sugar & Spice Make-Up and Hair Services for me, thank you JeTaime for making me feel and look so beautiful. The only thing that was heartbreaking, was having to say goodbye to Rebecca, Angela, Erica, Jeff & JeTaime. This TEAM of professionals were so phenomenal to work with. It was fate that I stumbled upon Weddings The Island Way's website back in February of 2014. We were a frustrated engaged couple who knew we wanted to get married in a destination wedding but were having problems finding an affordable way to get the day of our dreams. From the very first email and phone call - Erica and Angela were able to put me at ease. From the planning (and sometimes re-planning on my part), to the random questions, to the day-of - both ladies were absolutely incredible. We had a decent size crowd coming down with us for a cruise but the ladies were able to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Planning a wedding from afar definitely came with it's own set of challenges but the ladies were able to always answer my questions so quickly and made sure that everything I requested was met and then some. They went the extra mile the day of to make sure my Husband & I enjoyed each of the day's events; from the ceremony to the cake cutting to the pictures. The day that we arrived for our wedding in Magen's Bay, there were three other weddings on the beach as well - and (maybe i'm bias) but we clearly had the best setup and the most amazing views. I cannot say enough great things about the work these two do. How they will go the extra mile in everything they do for your big day & then some. If you are wanting to get married in the St. Thomas/St. John islands - these gals are truly everything you could ask for in wedding coordinators. To the ladies, Thank you SO much for everything you did in making my dream wedding a reality.

Panning a wedding so far away can be extremely mentally taxing, HOWEVER Erica and Angela made is so easy and so much fun!!! No question/ request was to big or small, their communication was excellent, both in email and phone calls and they covered every detail you could imagine. I found them after having a really unpleasant experience with another planner who looked more reasonably priced, but really wasn't and was a pain to work with. Brides check to see if the marriage license is included in your package (it's expensive in the USVI). Weddings the Island Way includes it and makes sure its correct before filing everything for you. I simply could not have asked for better, they made everything so easy and made us feel like the most important couple in the universe. From our transportation, helping us play our selected music, the wonderful officiant, the delicious cake (that had added piped lace design as a special last minute request, at no additional charge), setting up our sand ceremony table, and many other special decorations that we brought with us. It was the PERFECT DAY!!! I am so happy that we choose them, I am so picky about everything and I cannot say enough good about them, 5 Stars simply isn't enough. Thank You Ladies, for the most perfect wedding day EVER! It was so breathtakingly beautiful and I loved everything about it!

Highly recommend using Weddings the Island Way for your USVI wedding. Erica and Angela were great, super helpful, easy to reach by phone or email. I’m a super detailed and organized person and planning a wedding from afar was a leap of faith. They made me feel at ease and on the day of the wedding absolutely everything was beyond perfect! The location (Garden Terrace) was amazing, beautiful views, tons of places for awesome photos. I was very specific about flowers and they were exactly what I wanted. Jeff did the ceremony and he too was great. Every recommendation made was perfect … Rebecca Ruth for photos; Sugar and Spice Salon for hair and make up; Scubadu catamaran for a day of sailing and snorkeling after the wedding. I could not be happier, our wedding was beautiful and perfect, exactly what I had hoped it would be, I wouldn't change a thing.

Erica & Angela are the BEST. They made my wedding planning stress free and handled every little detail. They were able to answer all of my questions quickly and were so helpful with suggestions and recommendations -- from the flowers (which I absolutely LOVED), to our vows, to the music & photography, to the restaurant we chose to eat lunch at following the ceremony. They coordinated and organized everything so quickly and efficiently. Angela & Erica also handled every little problem that came up including a last minute location change of my cruise ship and the brief rain showers prior to the ceremony - all while assuring me that everything would be okay. (The rain passed quickly and we had the most beautiful wedding.) I am so grateful to these two amazing ladies for helping me plan such a perfect day.

Angela and Erica were absolutely amazing! I was so nervous planning a destination wedding, knowing that everything would be sight unseen until the day of. Angela and Erica communicated with me the ENTIRE time, they listened exactly to all of my requests, and my wedding was more beautiful than I even imagined. Even the day of, Angela was there the entire time and made sure everything was perfect, even down to calling the restaurant of our reception to tell them we were running late (and kept our reservation!). I really cannot say enough great things about these ladies and this company. Thank you for my dream wedding! We'll contact you for our vow renewal in 5 years!

Angela and Erica at Weddings the Island Way coordinated our wedding in St. Thomas in June, 2014. We were married at Norbu Estate with a short ceremony on the lower balcony followed by a full reception on the upper balcony with about 30 guests of our family and friends. Angela and Erica did a spectacular job listening to what we wanted and getting every detail perfect! They were easy to work with and communication was great all along (very important for destination weddings where you can’t taste the food, cake, or see the flowers and venue beforehand). The food was excellent, and the cake not only looked amazing, but was very tasty as well. The DJ was very fun and personable and got the guests dancing with a great playlist. Norbu Estate looked absolutely beautiful in the pictures online, but cannot compare to the breathtaking views and surroundings that you experience in-person. Angela and Erica got every detail right, and exceeded my expectations to give us our perfect sunset wedding! I would highly recommend their services to future brides! Thank you Angela and Erica!

Angela and Erica planned our wedding on the beautiful Island of St. Thomas. All of our contact was over the telephone and Email and the communication was outstanding and timely throughout the planning process. My fiance and I knew right away we wanted to do a destination wedding. He loves cruise and we figured it would be a cost-effective way for our family members to come with. We started planning the cruise and soon picked our wedding spot in St. Thomas, USVI. We had a small time-frame that we were on the island (10am-6pm) and no plans to visit the location before the wedding date. Angela and Erica were incredibly helpful, reassuring, professional and the absolute best people to work with on our wedding details. They thought of everything and made it a completely stress-free process from day 1. Based on phone calls and emails only, they were able to make this the wedding day I could only dream of and nailed every aspect of the design. We chose the 'Wedding Bells & Whistles' package which basically includes everything you could ever need and were glad we did! The hanging shepherd's lanterns, arch, chair bows, etc. made it simply breathtaking. I could continue writing for the rest of the day but bottom line - I would recommend Weddings the Island Way to everyone over and over again. Besides saying yes to my husband, this was the best decision ever!

Destination weddings can be stressful because you are planning them remotely, but you can definitely trust Angela and Erica to provide you with hometown service. Angela and Erica, with Weddings the Island Way, did the best job planning my special wedding get-away from afar! They were very adaptable and responsive to all the complications (really, what is a wedding without complications?), including cell phone troubles to power outages on the island, starting late, etc. I would not have had it any other way! They helped with finding the special spot, suggesting dining attracting, to picking the best photographer, even after asking a million questions and being indecisive on my part! They were great at suggesting the best florist, hair stylist, dining options, attractions, anything you could imagine! My wedding was a perfect day and they help make it the most memorable day to start my husbands and my life together.

I contacted Angela and Erica from weddings the island way after experiencing some difficulties with another wedding planning company. Both ladies assured me that they would take care of anything we wanted or needed throughout our wedding planning process. They were absolutely amazing! Within a few days of our first conversation, we had the entire wedding planned! It took so much stress off of my mind, knowing they were handling everything. My husband and I couldn't have asked for better services provided by them, from transportation from our cruise ship to Magen's Bay, the music, cake, food, and the beautiful aisle/arch setup...everything was absolutely perfect! They even allowed me to ship things to them so they could hold them until the day of the wedding. Kyle and I could never thank Angela and Erica enough for everything they've done!

When I told a good friend that I had just gotten engaged and was
thinking of having a "Destination Wedding" (2nd marriage for each of
us) she immediately told me that we should get married in St Thomas and
use Weddings the Island Way, just as she had. She couldn't have been
more correct! Angela and Erica did a phenomenal job of managing the
entire process - from what was required for a wedding license, to
recommendations where to stay and what to do (Duffy's Love Shack,),
arranging transportation and of course the wedding venue, music,
caterer etc. It was sooo easy not having to tend to all of the
details, especially from afar. Our wedding was perfect and went off
without a hitch. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful (last
minute request on our part to have champagne delivered to 7 different
locations handled perfectl ) and were completely hands on at the
wedding making sure that everything went as planned all the way to
getting us and all of our guests back to our hotels. I give them the highest
possible recommendation.....

Angela made our wedding exactly what we hoped it would be. After a horrible mix up with our original planner we were left with no plans just days before our wedding. We were so lucky that Angela stepped in and saved the day. She made us feel so comfortable and stress free and took care of every little detail from a limo to pick us up, beautiful flowers, a wonderful officiant and an AMAZING photographer! Erica was my coordinator and she took care of everything! We could not be more pleased with the outcome. From the license processing to the photography and flowers... She handles it all and its all worry free. I would not have done it any different and I am very thankful for their services at weddings the island way. If our daughters ever decide they wants a island wedding we will be using them again! Thanks staff and Erica for making our dreams come true!

Working with Angela for months has been such a pleasure. From the moment I started planning my wedding Angela had made is very easy to not only trust her judgement but making this stressful time not stressful. She was open to idea's, answered all questions, and always answered back in a timely manor was highly appreciative. She made my wedding the most memorable and BEAUTIFUL wedding ever! Angela and Erica at Weddings the Island Way were absolutely phenomenal. We planned our wedding as a stop on a cruise so I had some anxiety about working through everything being remote and knowing we’d only be on the island for 8 hours or so—I had NOTHING to worry about. Angela and Erica took such great care of us. Every time I called they picked up, every question I had they answered. They both made our wedding such a stress-free event, we were able to just walk off the cruise ship and have a great time. During the course of planning we had a couple of complications (family health issue) which required us make a few changes and have to book a few things at the last minute and Angela and Erica did not hesitate, they took care of all the changes in the course of one business day! Both of these women are just wonderful, Angela was there with us for the wedding and she took care of everything for us, she kept everything moving and everyone organized and allowed us to just enjoy ourselves. I would recommend WTIW in a heartbeat! Thank you Angela and Erica, you are truly fantastic!!!

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Angela was such a pleasure to work with and such a sweet heart. Of course planning a wedding all the way from Maryland was nerve racking at first, but Angela always put me at ease and made me feel comfortable with my decisions. I trusted her to know what would look best. She would get back to me immediately and went above and beyond. My wedding day was so beautiful, perfect, memorable and overall the most amazing day of my life, nothing could have gone better. Weddings the Island Way had so many flexible wedding packages, different assortment of food, flowers, cakes, aisles, seating, drinks, transportation, music, EVERYTHING! Instead of having to speak to 10 different people for separate times, literally everything is included and taken care of which is nice because you're dealing with YOUR wedding planner ONLY! Wedding the island way made our day perfect, it was stress free and everything turned out picture perfect. We worked with Angela mostly but also had some contact with Erica and both were professional and great to work with. We had a few hiccups on our end with the wedding and Angela was so accommodating and worked with us to get our budget back on track as well as changes to our venue, and services that we wanted and decided we needed to change. Communication was excellent. I cant enough how STRESS FREE it all was, so much so we felt like we were forgetting things!! And St Thomas is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I would not change a thing and would highly recommend them.

AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, COURTIOUS, DETAILED.....these are just a few words that come to mind when I thing of WEDDINGSTHEISLANDWAY....Our planner was Angela Berry. (And we worked with Tina at times) She was a God sent!!( After emailing for over a year, she felt like family when we finally were able to meet!!) Everything I needed she was right there to assist and provide for me. From the biggest question to the smallest detail. She was great!!! And when our special day arrived. Everyone made us feel like we were the most important thing that they had to do that day. The Preacher that performed the ceremony, was friendly and welcoming. The photographer, Kelly. She did a fantastic job, you are in GREAT hands!! We just cant thank WTIW enough for EVERYTHING that was said and done. Two years later, we still cannot be happier with our lovely St. Thomas beach wedding.

We wanted a small simple ceremony and a truly memorable day, and that is exactly what we got. We arrived on a cruise ship, were met at the dock, taken to the courthouse to pick up our license, then on to Magens Bay where our steel pan musician, flowers, photographer and officiant were waiting to marry us while we stood in the warm surf at one of the most beautiful locations on the planet. Afterwards, our small party enjoyed a private island tour arranged by WTIW, and a fabulous luncheon in Charlotte-Amalie.

We wouldn't have changed a thing. It was perfect, and the best part was that all we had to do was to say what we wanted and to show up on the island that day. An ideal solution for people like us who want their wedding to be a special beginning of their lives together instead of the end result of a year of planning.

Whew! long plane ride home. We had a blast. Thank you so very much for making our Wedding special to us. It was everything I had pictured and so much more. From the Limo service that had someone personally walk us to the court room doors and back to the Limo. To the beautiful beach. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, I took pictures of my bouquet so I can remember them. You were so very helpful and answered all our questions, everything went so smoothly. Tina Olive was our wedding planner for our destination wedding. She made everything so easy and stress free! Most brides are frantic months and days leading up to the ceremony, and I will have to admit I was close to the end but only because other people made me wonder if things were really being taken care of thousands of miles away! But after speaking to Tina the week of the wedding, I knew there was nothing I needed to worry about. When I arrived at Magens Bay for the ceremony, I noticed there were 2 other weddings about to take place. My photographer Eric Johnson told me the spot Tina picked was the best of the three spots. Apparently, Tina arrived at the sight very early in the morning to secure the location - smack dab in between two beautiful palm trees! The pictures are gorgeous! Tina took care of everything! the flowers, the cake, the food & drinks, the music, the videographer, the arch & the aisle. All of her hard work made my day wonderful and stress-free! All of the details came together to form the most perfect affair! Thank you Tina and to your crew for making my dream wedding come true!

We were very fortunate to work with Angela Berry. Right from the start she made us very comfortable. I felt very confident putting this in her hands. Any time of day we could count on her to get right back to us with our questions regarding all aspects of the wedding. We were on a cruise and my daughter was planning her wedding on Megan’s Beach, St. Thomas. Angela was right on top of it working with the cruise line regarding the ships arrival time. As it turned out, the ship was a few hours later than we had planned the wedding but Angela made sure that all of the food, music, transportation for bride and groom and all guest, pictures, etc. were made aware of the time difference. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We were so confident in her. We didn’t even know that she knew that the ship would be late! Everything turned out beautiful! The flowers, cake, music, food, photographer, videographer, everything were all perfect. It was such a pleasure to plan such a beautiful wedding and not have to worry about anything! I would recommend Weddings The Island Way to anybody planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean. My daughter’s wedding was beautiful!

Tina provided advice that was invaluable in making decisions for the day of the wedding.(Early morning wedding-less crowd beach; walking up the beach instead of down the aisle). Her calmness the day of wedding helped us be calm and enjoy the day. They were friendly, kind considerate and very prepared the morning of the wedding. They know their revenue and their directions were clear and concise. They made a beautiful wedding site on the beach. They know their job and do it very well. We were very pleased.

I mainly worked with Tina, but had some communication with Angela, as well. Both were extremely personable and answered my questions with ease. I chose the Custom Package and Tina put me in contact with caterers, photographers, and the band. We were in CONSTANT contact via email for at least 3 months. She was ALWAYS prompt with her replies. I would send her pictures of flowers, ceremony decor, cake, etc. and she would take care of it for me. Seriously... all the pictures I sent her came to life at my wedding. There were no surprises - it was BETTER than what I had imagined and there's NO WAY on this Earth that I would have been able to do it if it hadn't been for Tina and the girls. Tina and Angela helped organize everything the day of the wedding while we were having pictures made. I didn't worry about a thing or lift a finger. The wedding was in St. Thomas at Villa Ventana. Weddings the Island Way made my dream wedding a reality and I'll always be grateful. Thank you!

Angela and the team at Weddings the Island Way planned an absolutely fantastic destination wedding for us at Magens Bay on St. Thomas! We spoke to and emailed them many times in the months before we flew in and we really appreciated that there was always someone in the office who could help us out with our question. Everyone at WTIW took the time to make sure we understood our options for each part of our wedding and to make sure we were happy with our choices. FYI: we chose to go with their photo + video packages and those turned-out great and we thought were definitely worth the $$. We met with our planner (Angela) the day before our wedding to make sure everything was good to go, and it was. And the next day when we walked onto the beach we were blown away by how beautiful everything was and how smoothly it all went. If you're thinking of doing a destination wedding on St Thomas (or St John) I don't think you can go wrong by choosing to work with the team at Weddings the Island Way!! (NOTE: We took a chance and had our wedding during hurricane season - we were a little worried in the weeks before that mother nature would spoil the day, but fortunately we were hurricane-free the whole time we were there)

We used Weddings the Island Way on 12/14/10 to handle our wedding at their private location called the Garden Terrace, which is absolutely beautiful. They worked with us on whatever we requested, including our budget, photography arrangements, transporation, minister selection and beach locations. As a british couple looking for a small, intimate wedding in the sun we look a huge leap of faith and booked our wedding over the internet with WTIW. Tina was fantastic throughout replying to my many emails and questions and when our cruise ship docked in St Thomas all my nerves disappeared. The limo was fantastic with a short trip to the courthouse to sign the paperwork then off to the garden terrace. The venue was fantastic far better than i ever imagined and we had the whole place to our party of 10. The views are amazing even when it was slightly overcast (which was ideal for me, no squinting at the sun we never get in the UK!!) and the garden was so colourful and tropical. The photographer and videographer were very professional and friendly and even got my husband to relax for photos! Tina again was great and the cake was huge and delicious (lemon poppy seed with strawberrys and white chocolate frosting yum!!) It really was a perfect wedding and i loved the steel drum playing 'here comes the bride'!! I hope this reassures any UK couples who want to escape the nightmare of 100+ guests and astronomical prices of weddings in england, i cant fault WTIW.

I cannot recommend WTIW enough. You have to throw a little caution to the wind when you plan a destination wedding. You have desires, but in the end you don't know if they will be met so you just hope for the best. WTIW came through in an amazing way. I mentioned my colors as an aside and they ran with it. The decor was gorgeous. Our wedding was at Villa Botanica and from the minute my husband and I walked in...and our guests walked in....it was like walking into a dream. The DJ, photographer, videographer, and musician were all consummate professionals. Tina took all my stress away and every detail was as if I had planned it myself. I gave it all over to her and she made mine and my husband's dreams come true. Unbelievable services, unbelievable setting, unbelievable professionalism.

We originally were working with one of the local hotels to have the wedding onsite, but everything little thing cost extra and it all became very stressful. We searched for alternative options and found Weddings the Island Way, and we are so glad because everything was perfect. We worked with Tina and she made everything simple and easy. She explained the process and took care of all of the paperwork. We went to the courthouse in St. Thomas and picked up the license and did some ring shopping. The next day were married at sunset on Lindquist Beach. I highly recommend getting the video so when you get back home all of your family and friends that could not be there can experience the wedding. Everyone is amazed at the islands beauty when they see the video and hear the waves crashing on the beach behind you during the ceremony. I am recommending it to a couple that we work with that is planning to marry in the spring of 2010.

This is the way to go to plan a wedding! Everyone at Weddings the Island Way was helpful (from the slightest details to broad suggestions) and always answered the phone promptly when I had any questions. They were there to guide us through any question we had, and were patient with any undecision. It took the worry out of such a stressful event.

The day of the wedding, everything went off with a problem. The limo driver was there ahead of time, the helicopter pilot was informative and professional, and the photographer and videographer assured us that even if the big, black rain clouds in the background dumped on us, they could make everything beautiful under the trees! The pastor gave a heartfelt, touching ceremony. And everyone involved made us feel as if we were the first and only people ever to get such star treatment. It was really special.

They even arranged lunch afterward at Tavern on the Waterfront, who dressed the table up for the festive occasion with rose petals and glitz.

It was a perfect day...in large part due to Weddings the Island Way.

Weddings the Island Way, had a team of true professionals who took care of every minute detail, and as the Bride I had not one worry. They gave me my absolute dream wedding, and everything turned out beautifully! Whenever I had questions, these ladies were there to answer the questions and left me feeling as though I had nothing to worry about, they handled all the details and made certain all of our plans came to fruition! Our entire ceremony was as perfect as I dreamed! We got to pick and choose what we wanted for an affordable price. They were always very quick to respond to emails throughout the planning process and when it came to the day of everything went perfectly! The girls really make you feel special on your day! I would recommend weddings the island way over and over again without hesitation!
*My only complaint would be that your pictures have a watermark on them and they cost $5.00+ per print to get them. We were not told at the beginning that the print would cost so much extra, we thought we would get the digital download without the watermark and we could print them ourselves. The fee for your pictures are not included in final price*

A girl I knew from high school planed her wedding through Weddings the Island Way and when we decided we wanted a destination wedding she suggested them to us. We were a little uneasy planning a wedding out of town but from my girlfriend's personal experience and after my first conversation with Angela, I made up my mind; this destination wedding was the way to go! I worked with both Angela ad Erica over the course of a year. Each phone call, email or concern I had was answered in a timely manner. My wedding went off without a hitch and it was the most unbelievable day of my entire life!! I would highly recommend a destination wedding to any one and more importantly recommend Angela and Erica from Weddings the Island way for all their planning.

We were originally booked with Fantasia Weddings, but when the proprietor had to go stateside for medical reasons, she switched us over to Weddings the Island Way. Everyone was very nice and extremely accommodating all the way up to the big day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in the VI.

We had our wedding in St Thomas. Angela was wonderful. I was a little leary being from R.I. But everything was exactly the way we wanted it! We could not have asked for a more perfect day. From the decorations to the steel drums. Angela definitely lead us in the right direction. I would recommend Weddings The a Islands Way to anyone.the photographer and minister were also amazing. Erica and Angela were really wonderful in taking care of all the details for me. They asked me simple questions where I basically would have a few choice and set me up with hair and makeup, the boat where my reception took place, the photographer, minister, musician, flowers, etc. My wedding day was beautiful, sunny and 86 degrees. It went pretty smoothly. It was nice having them on the island to coordinate everything so I didn't have to worry about it from Wisconsin (where I live) while working full-time.

Since Mary is selling the business to Tara it has become a bait and switch

Tara the new to be owner of the business is non responsive and and if anything makes the planning of a wedding much more difficult- skip them and save yourself the trouble!
