Thank you Lakeisha and Jasmine. It was my pleasure. Best wishes for a long and happy marriage!
I booked Marsha a few weeks before my wedding. She was very proficient and professional. She helped ease some of the "before" wedding stress. She was very responsive and timely with any questions that I had. My wedding was in Chicago, and although she is based out of Indianapolis, she traveled to my location. Her prices are very reasonable and If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely book her. Thank You Rev. Marsha Thomas!!
Nicole and Lance - it was my honor to officiate your wedding! I am so glad I was able to ease some of your pre-wedding stress. Nicole, you were a beautiful Bride and Lance was certainly a most handsome Groom!
I wish you a long, happy, and loving marriage. And, from what little I saw of Lance's personality just before the ceremony, there will definitely be a lot of fun! (*_*)
Rev Marsha was fantastic. Super easy to work with, created personalized vows and had a lovely personality. Even helped take photos for our vow renewal. Highly recommended.
When we realized we were unable to get married in our home church, we contacted Marsha Thomas to perform our nuptials. Our experience was truly wonderful. She was easy and flexible to work with and we never had to track her down. She was on the ball and available whenever we needed her. We met with her initially and my fiancee and I felt an instant connection. She made it easy to select the ceremony and what could easily be overwhelming proved just the opposite. As for the ceremony itself, so many of our guests made comments on how beautiful and "real" it felt- exactly what we were looking for in committing our eternal love for each other. Thank you Marsha- you will forever be held in our memories of this special day!
My husband and I were very pleased with Rev. Marsha Thomas officiating our wedding. The planning of the ceremony to the completion of the ceremony was awesome. Marsha and I had phone and email conversations prior to the wedding day, which gave me a sense of satisfaction. She was professional and friendly at the same time. The words that she used during the ceremony were filled with love and joy. Her presence in our home was truly a blessing all by itself. I would highly recommend Rev. Marsha Thomas to officiate your wedding ceremony, she is extremely passionate about what she does.
Rev. Marsha Thomas was fabulous. She helped to make our wedding day beautiful with a well organized ceremony which flowed smoothly from beginning to end. She gave us a wonderful template which made it so easy to create the flow of the ceremony and set the tempo for the day. I received numerous compliments from our guests on how beautiful the ceremony was and how great of a job our Officiant did. From the first day we met to the end of the ceremony Rev. Marsha was professional yet personable, thorough and with great follow-up. Thank You Rev. Marsha for the great job you did!!!
Rev. Marsha Thomas officiated my wedding which was held on Sun., September 21, 2014. Marsha was wonderful!! She was very flexible when I had to change my wedding date. She was extremely helpful when deciding the order of services for the ceremony by providing examples of her services. I was able to craft a beautiful ceremony. She is very professional, friendly and helpful; she even assisted the groomsmen with putting on their boutonnieres. Marsha made my wedding day stress free and beautiful!! Marsha, both Stephen and I thank you!!!
Cynthia, thank you so much for choosing me to be your officiant. I was happy to do whatever I could to accommodate you and Stephen on your special day. You looked absolutely beautiful, the venue was lovely, and clearly all of your guests were thrilled for you both.
I wish you and Stephen all the best in your married life. May it be filled with laughter, love, and God's blessings for many years to come.
Ms Thomas is such a warm and friendly individual m She made my fiancee and I feel as if we have known her for years. She did a great job creating our love story and she looked absolutely beautiful for our special day. I would definitely recommend her to a couple that wants their day to be perfect.
Robbin, thank you for such kind words. I loved you and Latrell from day one! Once I heard Your Love Story I was so happy for the two of you. All I can say is, "Thank God for Facebook!!!" I had more fun at your wedding than any other I have performed. And everyone got such a kick out of the way Latrell kept trying to kiss you before I said the magic words..."You may kiss your Bride." But, that's what you love about your "Superman!"
Mr. and Mrs. Hite, I wish you many happy, loving years of married life. It was my honor to be your officiant!
It was a week before the wedding and my wife and I had checked off just about everything on our todo list, when we realized we hadn't checked possibly the most important checkbox for the big day. OFFICIANT. The hunt was on. We had less than seven day to find someone who not only fit into our budget, but who would mesh well with our personalities and deliver an amazing experience that we would be proud to remember for the rest of our lives. That's when we found Marsha. When we first spoke on the phone she said "Your wedding's when? Well it's tight, but we can make it work." We meet a few days later and instantly we knew we had made the right decision. She was calm and cool, personable, extremely organized with a detailed folder of ceremony options, and after our brief meeting she felt like a family friend whom we could trust. With guiding suggestions and a wealth of experience, she helped us create the perfect custom ceremony. When our nuptial day arrived, the magic continued. She was on time, pleasant and gave a huge supporting smile as we said 'Ido'. We couldn't have asked for a better person to be a part of wedding!
Marsha was a pleasure. She is very kind and open. She is a genuine person. She put together a beautiful ceremony for us. We could not be happier. We would highly recommend her services.
Melanie, thank you for that very kind review. It was my honor and pleasure to be your officiant. The day was lovely, the garden venue was awesome, and you and Marquese are a beautiful couple. By the way, this was the first wedding I've ever performed where the Bride wore red! Melanie, you were stunning!!!
Best wishes to both of you for a long, happy, and loving marriage.
My bride and I wanted a wedding for just the two of us on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago. We contacted several pastors and hired one (someone else). When Pastor Marsha called back from my voice mail, it was too late as we had already made our selection. She was so gracious to offer us some helpful information, and we both loved her awesome spirit. We felt so badly that we decided on another minister so quickly. We both knew that Pastor Marsha was the pastor sent by G-d for us. As the good lord would have it, the minister we hired had a wedding booked on the day that we wanted to get married. Because the day that we selected was the 121st anniversary of the birth of my first soulmate, my father's mother, we were inflexible about another date. We were now open to hiring Pastor Marsha. We couldn't imagine a better choice! I felt like we were getting married by a family member that knew us our entire lives! If you want an experience that feels "right in every way", you should talk to Pastor Marsha. She will be "family" to us forever!!!!!
My Dear Ruthann and Gregg, "our" story will forever remain close to my heart. We were just meant to be! The two of you are so special to me and I'm glad that you allowed me to be a part of your special day. From the very first time we spoke I could feel a very loving spirit coming from both of you and that made our collaboration easy, fun, and warm. Even though you/we wanted the ceremony in the park, the rain gave us an opportunity to explore another option which I think was perfect. We had all the elements of a beautiful outdoor space but inside and dry! lol
It was also extra special because you two and my BFF, Cassandra, got a chance to meet each other and she was gracious enough to be your photographer/videographer for the occasion.
Let's keep in touch knowing that ours is a bond that can't be broken by distance.
Thank you for the honor of being your officiant; and I wish you many years of married life filled with joy, happiness, peace, laughter, love, and God's richest blessings.
From my heart to yours,
We are extremely pleased with the services Marsha provided us as our wedding officiant on August 3, 2014. Marsha was very professional, as well as helpful, flexible, and full of ideas during our wedding planning process. She allows you to personalize your wedding ceremony however it works for you, all while adding her creative touch to it. And...her spin of your "Love Story" is awesome! Marsha definitely has a gift of creativity and a special way of keeping your guest engaged, be it a traditional or nontraditional ceremony. We have put our 5+ star stamp on Marsha!
Thank you Marsha for helping make our day perfect! We enjoyed working with you.
Mr. & Mrs. Gregory :-)
My Husband and I were married this summer and had the honor of having Marsha as our Officiant. Marsha did an excellent job! She is very professional and has a motherly warm heart. She was very flexible regarding meeting dates and I loved how she gave many options for the ceremony to make it unique and your own! She is truly a beautiful women and I would definitely pick Marsha again!
Marsha was Excellent and it was a honor having her apart of our special day! She was very prompt with emails and communications, always showed the ability to provide excellent services and gave unique and quality inspirational words. My Husband and I also received premarital counseling and she gave us great tools for communications. We always felt like with Marsha encouraging words and wisdom our ceremony would be great; and it was!! We loved our "Love Story" and so did the guest. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant.
Thanks a lot and Great Job!!
Be on the look out in 10 years when we renew our vows :-)
Mr. & Mrs. McCall
Crystal and Leverette, you two were a joy to work with both in creating your perfect wedding ceremony and in our pre-marital counseling sessions. It was my honor to be a part of your special day.
I will think of you both often and look forward to your call to officiate your 10-year vow renewal ceremony. Look for me on facebook. (*_*)
Mr. and Mrs. McCall, I wish you a long, happy, fun and love-filled marriage.
See you in 2024!
It was an absoulte pleasure and honor to have Rev. Thomas officate our wedding on July 6th, 2014 at The Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet, IL . Her attention to detail, flexibility and professionalism were second to none. My husband and I knew from our first meeting, that Rev. Thomas was "The One" (which is saying ALOT because my hubby never feels strongly on initial impressions). She was always very quick to answer ANY questions or comments that I had leading up to, and on the big day, which is SO important when wedding planning. I even recieved compliments from my friends and family regarding just how sweet and kind she was to the guest. Her warm spirit, and personality was a true asset to our wedding day. I love the fact that she was open and receptive to any suggestions we had, and even contacted us the day AFTER the wedding when my husband and I had questions about the wedding license. I would hands down recommmend Rev. Thomas for your event. She was by far the BEST and easiest vendor to work with. Thank you Rev. Thomas for making our day so special and beautiful!
Simendea and Pernell, it was such an honor to perform your wedding ceremony at the beautiful Patrick Haley Mansion in Joliet. The day was hot indeed, but we were all just mesmerized by what a beautiful Bride you were; and our hearts were touched to see Pernell shedding tears of joy as you walked down the aisle. (Yes, REAL men cry!)
From the first time we met at Starbucks back in November 2013, I was just in love with you two as a couple. And, I remember Pernell mentioning that he really wanted a wedding officiant with nice teeth, so I made sure I had them cleaned and polished for your special day! lol How did I do, Pernell????
It was a pleasure working with you in creating what I hope was your "perfect marriage ceremony." My goal is to always provide the best possible service to my clients and that includes being timely in my communication and open to the wishes of the Bride and Groom. I'm glad I met your expectations.
My best wishes for the two of you for the happiest, most amazing, fun and love-filled marriage.
Enjoy the journey! (*_*)
Wow! What can we say almost everything that could have gone wrong did, with the exception of Rev. Marsha. Prompt professional and compassionate. Help full to no end. Her kind words and guidance sealed the deal and saved the day! My entire family and guests complimented her message!
Ms. Nia, I was honored and delighted to create and perform your wedding ceremony. And, my highest compliments to you for handling a very difficult and frustrating situation with such calm, composure, and class.
I arrived at the venue early and watched as you helped to set things up and joyfully interact with your vendors and other guests as they arrived. You were a beautiful bride and I enjoyed witnessing you and Alonzo say your heartfelt vows to one another. You are a beautiful couple.
Best wishes to both of you for a long, happy, loving marriage.
Working with Rev. Marsha Thomas throughout this process has been nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, she was willing to answer all of our questions and was extremely prompt and responsive. She created a beautiful ceremony for our wedding. She was able to take our vision for our perfect day and truly perfect it and make it one to remember! We had phone conversations as well as a face-to-face meeting before our big day to make sure that everything was just the way we wanted to be. This process had been extremely stress free - I had no doubt that Rev. Marsha would leave us anything else but satisfied - and boy, was that an understatement. The ceremony was so touching - there were moments when I doubt there was a single dry eye in the room. Marsha has surpassed my expectations. I guarantee she will do the same for future brides! She has my highest recommendation!
Marsha was AMAZING - from our first consultation, to the actually wedding day. She made things soooo easy and made me feel so comfortable. She knew exactly when to be serious, and when to show her great sense of humor (we are a very goofy couple). She was perfect. I couldn't have asked for more!
Lena and Ken, it was my pleasure to perform your wedding ceremony! Lena, I think you were the first bride I've ever had to "laugh your way" through most of the ceremony! It was hilarious and fun! I loved every minute of it!!!
I'm so glad you were pleased with my services and I wish you and Ken a long married life filled with happiness, love and LAUGHTER!
Marsha was great to work with and was always available to answer questions. Most importantly, she was always patient and professional, which meant a lot to 2 people with very busy schedules. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.
Cortney and Courtney - you are a first! I have never had a Bride and Groom with the same sounding name! I still smile when I think of some of the wording in your ceremony..."Cortney will you take Courtney...!"
I totally understand your busy schedules - two professional people with so much going on. So, no worries. I'm glad I was able to provide the kind of service that allowed you to do what you needed to do without worrying about the ceremony. Your venue at Hotel Arista was amazing - on the top floor with the sky as our roof. It was a beautiful day.
Mr. and Mrs. Sparkman, I wish both of you much love and happiness in your married life. And I thank you for the honor of officiating your wedding.
Rev. Marsha was professional and engaging; loved that what she wore during the ceremony because it went went so well with the site (Lincoln Park Conservatory). She was on top of it even when we weren’t, We couldn’t say enough wonderful things about her; she truly made our wedding experience very special and unforgettable. I still to this day receive compliments on the ceremony and how amazing Rev. Marsha was, she did an amazing job of involving our guest in the experience. If I have friends that are getting married I'll make sure they receive Rev. Marsha information because we couldn’t have been happier…
Giselle and Watson, thank you for such kind and heartfelt words. I was so happy that you chose me to play a small role in your special day. The Lincoln Park Conservatory was a perfect choice for your venue... so intimate and surrounded by lovely greenery. Your wedding was especially touching as your family and friends had traveled so very far to show their love and support for both of you on that day. Giselle, you were a beautiful bride, and Watson, you were so handsome and seemed "cool as a cucumber!"
I wish both of you the very best for a long, loving, happy and ADVENTUROUS marriage!
Marsha Thomas is Awesome! My husband and I need a wedding officiant at the last minute. Mrs. Thomas step in and save the day, she was prepared , on time and very professional. My ceremony started later than expected. She was so nice and understanding. She didn't charge us extra for us being 30min behind schedule. I loved the way she included our guest in our ceremony.
Cynthia and Orlando, it was such a pleasure to officiate your wedding. I love your spirit and your love for each other was so evident. Yes, your ceremony was quite late, but I didn't notice because I was having the best conversation with your pianist as we share a mutual friend and church connection.
I'm so glad you were pleased with my services and I wish you a long, happy love-filled married life.
Attn: Rev Marsha Thomas

Janice and Emanuel, thank you for allowing me the privilege of performing your wedding ceremony. When I walked into your home, I immediately felt a spirit of peace, harmony, and love. Your wedding was simple, yet one of the most beautiful I have ever witnessed. As someone wisely said, "It's not so much about the wedding, as it is about the marriage."
I wish you many more years of caring, laughing and loving. Best wishes for a long, happy marriage.
