I could not be happier with Atonn and Weddings for the Ages. I grew up religious, and while I'm at a different point in my life now, wanted to honor some of the traditions, while leaving out others. My now husband and I had a plan of what kind of ceremony would make us both happy, and Atonn helped make it a reality. He made sure to verify what we were and were not okay with, and asked questions we hadn't considered to make sure everything flowed beautifully. We heard nothing but great things from our guests, and most people were incredibly surprised to find out he wasn't a long time friend of either one of us! He brought a calming, professional and natural energy to our day, and we are so grateful for that!

KC is amazing
I scheduled with Weddings of the Ages pretty last minute (about 30 days before the wedding). With planning everything it was really the little (but very important) details that were slipping my mind. KC was able to be our officiant for our special day and she was amazing. She was super helpful when planning the ceremony and even tho we chose to have a 15 minute ceremony she made it so personal and amazing. It felt like it was just me and my husband with no one watching. KC also relived a lot of stress when planning the ceremony and mailing the marriage certificate!

AMAZING is an Understatement!
I cannot say enough good things about Weddings for the Ages. We had looked at so many different officiants with absolutely no luck. The we came across Weddings for the Ages through Wedding Wire. With no previous knowledge or recommendations, immediately it felt right. The enthusiasm and genuineness that we saw on the website became even more evident at our meeting with Mr. Atonn Smeltzer. It wasn't a question & answer session; it was like old friends catching up in a coffee shop. He took the time to really listen and get to know us. His manner, while very professional, was relaxed and engaging. We wanted more of a family celebration versus a formal ceremony. We asked that he not only speak to us but also to our family and friends in attendance. There were laughs and tears. So many people told us how much they enjoyed meeting him prior to the ceremony and what he said during the ceremony was beautiful. They thought that we had known him for years. The true love Atonn has for marrying couples is apparent. Weddings for the Ages made our wedding exactly that!

KC Bailey was amazing!
My husband and I used KC Bailey from Weddings For The Ages. We absolutely loved working and getting to know KC. She was very easy going. She communicated well with us and made it easy to schedule with her. She very helpful with what we would need to get paperwork wise and made that process super easy. She was truly there for us to make the day go smoothly and she made our ceremony very special and about us. She answered all questions and was very open and honest with us. If you are looking for a wedding officiant who is going to listen to you and make the ceremony run smoothly we highly recommend her. She made it very clear what services she was able to provide and was very transparent with the cost. She even made sure to get a selfie with us after!

Toledo Zoo Summer Wedding
Atonn was an amazing officiant on our wedding day! First of all, he agreed to meet us at the Cat Cafe in Bowling Green for our final ceremony review. On the rehearsal and wedding day, Atonn used his sense of humor to calm our nerves. I knew that he had our backs and would lead us through everything with professionalism. I cannot say enough about him. What I told him on the day of the wedding was that I wished he could stay through the reception because I loved his energy.

Wonderful officiant - Toledo Metro
We had a wonderful experience with Scott from Weddings for the Ages! Scott put a ton of thought and care into crafting the perfect wedding ceremony. He had a ton of suggestions prepared as far as ceremony readings and unity ceremony. There was a thorough questionnaire that was a ton of help with describing our relationship so the ceremony could be unique to us. Great option for any type of wedding ceremony (non religious or religious) and very affordable pricing. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an officiant for their wedding!

Atonn. You created the most beautiful ceremony ever. We cannot thank you enough, but what we can do is help to share how amazing it was with others here. My husband and I had no idea where to start when it came to looking for an officiant. We attending a few wedding events, but just did not feel a connection with anyone. I did extensive online searching and review reading, and I stumbled upon Atonn at weddings for the ages. I was blown away with the amount of positive reviews he had received. Our first meeting was one I’ll never forget. My husband and I were SOOOO nervous until we had ONE conversation with him, and we opened right up. He is friendly, inviting, relatable, and most importantly he respected every decision we wanted to make regarding our ceremony. He asked questions that helped us draft our desired ceremony with him. He also helped us with many unity feature ideas when we were unsure. He attended our rehearsal to ensure everyone knew what we were supposed to do and when. He was patient and attentive to everything we talked about. He included all the small details about us that we mentioned in meeting with him and discussing in his questionnaire and you can tell he put thought and emotion into every word he said. I LOVED that he offered to review both of our personal vows before the ceremony, because they were SOO in sync. He ensured we got our marriage license in the appropriate time and got it filed very quickly!!! I appreciate him for everything! Once we have more photos back, we’ll be sure to share them with you. Atonn and Jodie were nothing short of amazing. Upon booking for our micro-wedding ceremony, Jodie was prompt and friendly with communication and coordinating meetings with Atonn. I LOVE that Atonn took time to learn about us as a couple and scheduled a video chat to create a relationship with us so our experience felt extra personal. The questionnaire they sent pre-ceremony to learn about our history was so fun to fill out together. We had a specific request to be pronounced married at 11:11am and Atonn made sure that happened organically. He made sure we felt calm and comfortable at the beginning of our ceremony and wrote a beautiful script for our special day. His words were so thoughtful and meaningful to us as a couple that we’ve chosen to print out a copy to incorporate in to our wedding album!

Very Personal & sincere ceremony
My daughter booked Weddings for the Ages…she had no referral from friends and knew no one that had used them. So she was going in blind!! Needless to say as the Mother of the Bride, I was quite nervous! She booked the officiant Scott Stechschulte! Scott was amazing! He communicated with the bride & groom to hear what their “vision” was as a ceremony. He really got to know the couple in a short amount of time via phone calls & a detailed questionnaire. He was the ultimate professional during rehearsal & ceremony. His ceremony was so personal, sincere & even funny at times. I would highly recommend Scott as an officiant!

Words cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Scott was to work with. From our initial call with him to discuss all of our hopes and dreams for our wedding we knew he was our go-to choice. Scott was a pleasure to work with making us feel the most loved throughout the planning process and on our special day, he was communicative, explained things well to us and offered amazing suggestions. The perfect Choice
We had an unexpected change to our officiant 2 days before our wedding due to our officiant getting COVID. I honestly think that was a huge blessing in disguise. Atonn showed up at our rehearsal dinner two days before the wedding, which is where we met him for the first time. He stayed after the rehearsal to ask us many questions to get to know us very well for our ceremony. Our entire ceremony was perfect! Atonn made it very personal and also threw in some jokes to keep it light hearted. We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding! Atonn helped us level up!
Since our first meeting with Atonn, we knew we'd been suggested the best person for our modern Legend of Zelda wedding. He was so much fun and so easy to meet with. Though our conversations could fall off topic by shiny things passing by the windows of BG's Biggby, we were always able to recover and get back to discussing our expectations, and Atonn's plan forming as he spoke with us. He was definitely a highlight of our wedding, and we are so grateful for all the work he'd out forth, and his and Jodie's patience with our constant date changes through Covid requirements. We were able to leave out a few traditional options, and keep our ceremony quick, nerdy, and still relatable to anyone unaware of the Zelda references.
To wrap this review up, Weddings for the Ages was professional, fun, organized, patient, and everything we could have hoped for our perfectly nerdy wedding day.

The Perfect Guide
We had the pleasure of working with Atonn from Weddings for the Ages not once, but twice because of COVID restrictions pushing off our full-sized wedding and we wouldn't have had it any other way!
Atonn took pains to meet and communicate with us often in the months leading up to our big day in order to better get to know us as individuals and as a couple and strove to cater our ceremony to fit our personalities, style, and needs. He also did an absolutely outstanding job writing two very distinct ceremonies that were at once lighthearted, solemn, and tender. He exuded a calm, joyful presence when we needed it most getting through our nerves in front of all our friends and family during the wedding and was a truly an invaluable guide and partner in making our day special and memorable.
We received so many compliments and positive comments from our guests about his ceremony and my wife and I could not have been happier with his process and performance ourselves - I would absolutely recommend them for anyone's special day!

I don’t even know where to start. Atonn got our personalities from the very first meeting. He was beyond fun to work with, and he put together a ceremony that had our guests saying they were so entertained they were actually paying attention to what was being said. It wasn’t your run of the mill boring wedding running through the motions. Atonn told us from the start he could be as serious or a silly as we wanted him to be. He was very professional and really made our ceremony what we wanted it to be. He made it feel like “us”. Some of our guests believed he was actually a friend of ours, not just someone we hired because he knew us so well. He really took his time to do his homework and made our ceremony extremely personalized. I’m sad our time with him is over. We would totally hang out with this guy and add him to our circle of friends. He’s absolutely worth hiring.

Overly joyed we chose Weddings For The Ages!
Ardy Gonyer was our officiant for our 10/24/2020 wedding. And we can honestly say that we were and still are absolutely THRILLED that we went with Weddings for the Ages for our wedding officiant! Customized ceremony that we were able to enjoy!!
Atonn made our ceremony so personal from day 1. He was so comfortable with making sure the day was for US. As a now step mother, who really wanted to include my husband's daughter in the ceremony, it was so important to me that our officiant be flexible and recognize that our day was about all 3 of us. He went above an beyond. The moment he started talking, I was able to relax and ENJOY my ceremony. Atonn also stepped out of the center when we gave vows and had our first kiss so that our pictures turned out amazing. (Not that he wouldn't have made them amazing too) Many of our guests commented about how he fit our style so well. THANK YOU!

Helped make it a day we'll never forget!
The perfect ceremony! Really made the ceremony very personal to my husband and I. We received many compliments from our families about how personalized the ceremony was and how it really showed us as a couple. Atonn was amazing. He met with us on multiple occasions and really listened to what we had to say. He really got to know us and put in so much effort into our wedding. He was super flexible even with the date change due to Covid and made everything flow natural. His business is very professional and if you can’t find someone to marry you he and his team can do it. He even did so well that my dad which is hard to please even commented on how well he did and made it seem like Atonn had known us for a while. He fit right in and really made our ceremony feel magical. If you’re looking for an officiant go with Wedding of the ages! 😃

Amazing Officiant
We are SO happy that we went with Weddings for the Ages for our wedding officiant. The first time we met with Ardy we instantly clicked. He was so friendly, and super easy to talk to. He made the entire process so easy, and he helped us figure out exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. We even had to postpone our original larger wedding date, and we decided to have a small ceremony with our family in the park on our originally planned wedding day. He was there for us and married us in the park, then when we were able to have our larger wedding reception he performed a vow renewal for us. He was SO flexible and was there for us every step of the way even when things got a little stressful. I cannot say enough good things about Weddings for the Ages and our officiant Ardy. If you're looking for a wedding officiant, Weddings for the Ages is the one you're looking for! You will not regret it.

Amazing officiant
Atonn did a tremendous and professional job providing a ceremony that was precisely what we had hoped for. If you're looking for an officiant with experience, charisma and professionalism look no further. We were an out of town couple and Atonn went out of his way to schedule multiple Skype meetings and get to know us on a personal level. It felt like a wedding officiated by a friend or family member.

A covid wedding
We had originally booked Weddings For The Ages a year ago. Expecting a normal wedding at our venue with all of our guests. Then just three months before our wedding the pandemic hit and we were faced with the decision of what to do. We ended up changing our plans and decided on a backyard wedding with just our close family. Through the changes Michael was able to help us and accommodate our new plans. He wrote a beautiful ceremony, that was sweet and to the point, which is what we had asked for. All of our guests enjoyed the ceremony and asked where we had found an officiant. We were very thankful for our experience with Michael and Weddings for the Ages!

Atonn was absolutely incredible as our officiant! I remember being nervous when I was looking for officiants because I knew how important they are for your ceremony. I had searched for awhile online and had come across Weddings for the Ages. I had called Atonn shortly after about his services and I immediately felt comfortable talking to him on the phone. He answered all of my questions and I could tell he really cared about his clients. After the phone call I decided that my husband and I had to meet up with him in person. We both immediately connected with Atonn at our first meeting and had felt like we had known him for a long time. We both said “wow this guy could have been a perfect fit in our friend group.”We hired him and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we had made for our wedding!
Atonn really takes the time to get to know you as a couple and listen to your wedding vision so he can perform a beautiful personal ceremony and that’s exactly what he did for us. It seriously felt like our best friend was officiating the wedding. He had me crying with the vows he wrote for us. Everyone at the wedding was blown away by the ceremony and they all talked about how amazing the service was and Atonn’s words stuck with so many of our guests. Atonn truly made the wedding unforgettable and I was honored to have him as our officiant. We got married in August 2018 and were not sure what we were looking for in an officiant and we didn’t really have a vision for the ceremony. We knew was that we wanted a very short, non-religious ceremony and an officiant that we easy to get along with. Atonn was the perfect fit for us and we realized it at our first meeting. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He got to know us in person and through questionnaires we filled out and with that, was able to put together a personal, funny, but still serious ceremony. He even provided examples of vows and readings for us to use, which was so helpful. He is creative and able to tailor your ceremony to fit any sort of theme, if you have one. We can’t thank him enough and are so happy we chose him as our officiant.

I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I received on Atonn officiating my wedding. His service was beautiful and he was with us every step of the way. When we first met in February, he helped us design a beautiful ceremony and provided a lot of great suggestions for poems, phrases and religious verses. He also created a wonderful message that captured the essence of our relationship and also tied in our "nautical" theme as well. At the rehearsal, he helped quickly organize the bridal party and made sure we all knew what we were doing. Atonn is a wonderful writer and public speaker. Jason and I were not sure what to expect of an officiant or really how that process even worked. I found Atonn on Wedding Wire and noticed the awesome reviews that he received, as well as many saying he made the ceremony about them and intimate. That was exactly what we were looking for! Atonn worked great around our schedule, and set up two meetings to discuss our expectations, explain how things work and finalized plans. He had us both fill out questionnaires, which he then took our answers and incorporated it into our ceremony to make it ONE OF A KIND!!!! He had different options of ceremonies we could choose from or if we wanted a specific theme, he would do it! which was really neat. I just can't say enough about Atonn, and would honestly recommend him for anyone that is getting married. He can make it any style you want and really focuses on the couple. He is amazing at what he does, and is truly passionate about his couples that he is working with.

I can't say enough good things about Atonn. He was incredible to work with and he made our ceremony so incredibly personal and special. We had a small ceremony with our family and even the guys in the family talked about how great the ceremony was. We are big beer fans and on our first date I introduced my husband to a snakebite, which is half Strongbow and half Guinness. We talked to Atonn about this at our initial meeting and he suggested we use it as our unity ceremony. It tied everything together perfectly during the ceremony and we couldn't have asked for a more fitting ritual to join us together as husband and wife! It's these little things that make Atonn so great at what he does. I would recommend Atonn to anyone!

Finding Atonn to be our officiant was a dream come true! He really takes the time to learn about your and your significant other, and makes the ceremony personal. Beyond that, he is a fun professional. He always made sure everyone was happy and entertained before the ceremony and during. He is a very fun officiant, and I would recommend him to everyone! He made our day perfect.

Atonn was quick to respond to anything we sent him, even some last minute changes to the order of services. He sat down with us on a couple occasions to work on vows and what exactly we wanted. We really appreciated that he had some basic outlines of orders of services to help us figure out exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend for a non-denominational service.

Having Atonn as the officiant of our wedding was probably the best choice we made for the entire process. Outside of his personality (friendly, approachable, helpful and an amazing human being), he made our ceremony special and personalized - giving the entire event a less stuffy atmosphere. He took the reins when he needed to and made sure that nothing happened that we didn't want to happen.
I could not recommend Atonn more, and I'd suggest you meet with him for your ceremonial needs.

Atonn was a great officiant for our Toledo wedding! He met with us multiple times before the wedding and guided us through our big day. The week before the wedding our ceremony musicians were backing out and Atonn offered the use of his bluetooth speakers. Although not ultimately needed, the gesture was much appreciated in a very stressful time. The ceremony itself was perfect and tailored to both my and my husband's personalities. After the ceremony our guests only had glowing remarks to say about the wedding. I would recommend him to any friends 10/10 times.

Atonn was awesome! We found him by just Google search as we were planning a wedding from long distance. He turned out to be a great fit for us. He was very easy to work with and did a great job with the ceremony. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Wedding for The Ages was the perfect choice for our officiant. Atonn was awesome to work with and extremely helpful. He came through with everything we asked and added some funny things into our ceremony, which we loved. I really felt that he was excited for us and happy to be there. He really helped us with our vows and gave us many options for our unity ceremony. Each time we met with him, we felt comfortable talking with him and sharing our ideas. I recommend Wedding for The Ages for anyone that needs an officiant!

Warm and professional
Carlyn is warm and professional. She was very easy to work with and supported our wants and needs for the ceremony. She asked us what we wanted and gave great suggestions that helped us shape our ceremony and make it personal. Our only minor complaint is that the name she signed on our marriage license didn’t match the name she is registered under. Luckily we were able to fix it with a phone call but it delayed the process and was a small inconvenience. She was also very responsive. Overall we would recommend Weddings for the Ages and Carlyn!

It's hard to express how pleased we are with every aspect of Atonn's service! He far surpassed all expectations in every way, delivering a perfectly customized ceremony and executing it flawlessly! Atonn was warm, funny, professional, friendly and gave us lots of options. He took the time to know us as a couple before putting together the perfect words. It may be weird to say that someone you only met months before could make such a difference but he truly understood exactly what we needed.

We loved Atonn so much! He was super sweet and fun to work with. He also was very accommodating and cane up with a beautiful ceremony that had everybody in tears. The only thing we had a problem with this was his responsiveness. There were a fee mishaps getting a hold of him, and we didn't get my partner's vows back until the day before the ceremony which was a bit stressful. He always came through, though, and overall we have a great experience.
