Jody and her team are phenomenal!! She had to deal with me as a covid bride as my wedding was rescheduled 3 times! She was so gracious and was an asset during the planning. It was a destination wedding for us and all the referrals she gave me for vendors were outstanding!! The wedding itself was beyond my wildest dreams. Thanks to Jody and her family that helped I had zero stress on my wedding day! I could not have pulled off a wedding like that without Jody!

What a pleasure to work with!
Jody was so dialed in, from start to finish, for our daughter's wedding. She brought organization and calmness - both big pluses for weddings! She kept us on track in our planning, offering suggestions along the way, and made sure that when the big day arrived all was in place. Even when the baker dropped the cake upon delivery (yes, it happened!) Jody kept this father of the bride calm and guided a replacement in time. I don’t know where to begin! I could not have done this without Jody! She went above and beyond! I live 3 hours from the place we wanted our wedding on the beach and we had no idea how we were going to get it done. Jody took care of everything!!! She was a pro with everything and the ceremony looked better than I ever imagined!!! Everyone told me that something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but I am blessed to say that NOTHING went wrong on our wedding day. It was absolutely perfect and I will gladly recommend Weddings By The Sea to anyone and everyone. They are very reasonably priced, very nice people, and they make your dreams come true. Jody and her team were amazing, from the rehearsal to the set up to the tear down, they were on it 100% of the time and ready to help at a moments notice. Before the wedding, Jody kept in constant contact with me and even went to the beach house where our wedding would be to make sure that there wasn't a lot of damage after Hurricane Dorian. She spent that extra time to make sure we were satisfied with our service and went over every little detail with us to make sure we got everything done. I don't have much experience with weddings so I really appreciated her attentiveness and her ability to get us on track-- there was so much happening on the days prior to the wedding and without her I would have been lost! They really kept things flowing on the day of and kept us on schedule! Stress-Free Southport Wedding
We are so thankful to have had Jody and Wedding by the Sea coordinate our wedding. We decided to use Weddings by the Sea as my husband and I lived in two different states during the planning of our wedding. Even though we only used their Day-of-Coordination package, we felt like Jody went above and beyond to make sure we thought of all the little details. Best Money I've Ever Spent
I chose Weddings By the Sea because I found they had rave reviews and because they were local to my wedding venue in Southport and it was the best money I have ever spent. Everyone has things go wrong on their wedding day and my planner, Jody, took care of Evvvvrythiiiing so that I could relax and so could my bridal party. You know those girls would do anything for you, especially on your big day, but you want them WITH you, enjoying it, not running around fixing the little things. When I realized my florist didn't send over one of my bridesmaid's bouquets I told Jody and she had the florist make one up and send it to my house in under an hour. When I was minutes away from walking down the isle and we realized the ropes we planned to use for our knot tying unity ceremony were missing Jody didn't even hesitate to deconstruct her own beach bag with rope handles to replace mine. My wedding day was the best day ever and I owe so much of that to Jody and her team. My decorations were beautiful and set exactly as I had requested, even strings of lights and paper fan stars hung high in the trees. Jody is a pro and walked us through every step of our planning process and really made planning easy for me. I would whole heartedly recommend Weddings By the Sea to anyone planning a wedding. You won't regret it!

Destination Wedding was a Success!
My husband and I live in Manhattan and only became familiar with the area a year ago. We got engaged on Oak Island and knew we wanted to be married there as well. I could never have pulled it off without Jody and her team. Her attention to detail, her meticulous follow up, and helping us stick to a strict timeline was invaluable. She went above and beyond my expectations. Little things I didn't even think of, were welcome surprises. It was a very stressful time, as our beach house was finishing renovation from Hurricane Florence, then the fire at Oceancrest days before our wedding-I was so nervous. Jody and her team stuck by me and made sure everything was taken care of. When we walked in to Island Way, I was struck at how beautifully decorated it was and I couldn't have been more pleased. Many guests said this was the best wedding they had ever attended and I couldn't have done it without Weddings By the Sea!

We met with Jody right after we got engaged to look at venues. From the very beginning we knew we wanted to work with her and loved her relaxed yet professional approach – she really made us feel at ease, especially since I was overwhelmed by the wedding planning process. She was very responsive from the very beginning and quick to get us whatever information we were looking for. Her vendor recommendations were great and she already worked well with these vendors, helping the day go even smoother (she recommended our caterer, Bobbie, from The Confectionary – her food and cakes are both amazing!). She kept us on track in the months leading up to the wedding, making sure we were making decisions on time, helping us pick out the rental items and providing advice and ideas to make our day amazing. When I told her there were a few items that I was going to order she went ahead and purchased them and we were able to rent them from her instead of having to purchase items we would likely never use again. She was very accommodating and was always focused on doing things that were in our best interest. We met with Jody several times leading up to the wedding, including the day before the rehearsal. We had a lot of items for Jody and her team to set up and they made the venue look beautiful. We had people tell us afterwards how much fun they had and even had guests that told us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The entire wedding day went so smoothly - even with a guest knocking an entire table over, it was barely noticeable because both Jody and Bobbie’s teams took care of everything immediately. I highly recommend Jody and Weddings by the Sea!

Everything turned out great and she even threw in a few things complimentarily and went out of her way to help transport the chairs to our venue. Our wedding was on the beach and her husband went to the beach early in the morning to make sure no one else had their wedding ceremony in the spot we picked since you don't have to get a permit for the beach. Her pricing was very reasonable and better than some of the other planners we looked into first.

My husband and I were married by the St James Beach Club. We hired Jody to be our wedding planner because I was living in Pennsylvania and my husband was living in NC. She made everything as easy as possible. She exceed our expectations and made it a beautiful day we will always remember!

Weddings by the sea gave me everything I wanted for our wedding in august at oak island. I wanted a very simple ceremony, a little music, and a causal vibe. It was just that. Jodi was great at putting up a plan b if we needed it, luckily the rain stopped in just enough time! There's nothing I would change ! Very responsive, attentive to details, and professional!

Jody was so wonderful to work with. Immediately I knew she would provide exactly what I pictured for my dream Oceanside wedding. And I also got a sneak peak of another abor set up. I can not say enough good things about Jody and her staff. I could not have pulled off a destination wedding in 2 months without Jody!!! Would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a wedding planner!!! We originally had only hired WBTS for the ceremony but ended up needing some help with the reception and Jody and her staff were awesome, couldn't have done it without them!!!

I am so pleased with how beautiful my ceremony turned out. Weddings by the Sea was very responsive and helpful with every part of planning the ceremony. Everyone who was at my wedding just loved how everything was set up and how elegant it looked. I was reassured on several occasions by Weddings by the Sea that everything was going to be perfect, I think they could tell how nervous I was about it. We loved in different cities so they were very good about making sure they stayed in contact through out the entire process and had everything exactly how we wanted it. Me and my husband are so thrilled that we chose Weddings by the Sea and will definitely recommend them to anyone getting married at the beach!

Jody with Weddings by the Sea was amazing! I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. Jody also did all my coordinating with my venue so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. Jody handled everything for me including the permit to have the beach wedding. My wedding was better than expected! Her responsiveness was better than expected!

We planned our wedding in Oak Island, NC from Wisconsin. Jody was so much help, I'm not sure it would have gone as smoothly without her. She did our ceremony set up as well as provided with white linens and other accessories. She was available to answer any questions we had about anything and everything including: the venue, ceremony, tide schedule, hot sand, the Oak Island area and much more! The services she provided were amazing and she was so happy to do it all!

We were very impressed with Jody. We enlisted her for my daughter's wedding for the rehearsal and day of coordination which included contacting other vendors the last week. However, she was willing to work with us by phone and email from the beginning. She was always very flexible and listened to our wishes carefully. I feel like her pricing was very reasonable after calling other plannners. Our venue was Southport Marina and she and her crew did a fantastic job setting everything up and clean up afterwards. The day went very smoothly and I did not have to worry during the party. I feel like it would not have been the same without her. Thank you Jody!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! From start to finish the entire thing came together perfectly! Weddings by the Sea provided us with options we didn't even know we wanted, and we fell in love with them. We went in with a budget, and were able to get so much more than I ever dreamed possible. They really care about you and making sure you have as little stress as possible. You can genuinely see how excited they are to personalize your day, and to see you happy. I'd recommend Weddings by the Sea to anybody and everybody.

Being from out of state we needed a trust worthy honest person to help us with our wedding. We positively found that with Wedding By the Sea!! Jody really went above and beyond for my wedding. I used her as a "month of" coordinator. She executed my plan perfectly. She called all my vendors ahead of time and made sure everything was ready to go. She was able to improvise when anything went wrong. She started out really nice. Two days before the wedding we asked her to go to the location and work out where we were having the wedding. She told us, with a tone that she had other things going on and we should be willing to just wait for the rehearsal. She was probably right, but I was anxious and I just needed a little bit of her time. She was kind and professional during the wedding. We had to get our own cake from upstairs, she wasn’t willing to lift her finger beyond the contract. Her and her assistant also disappeared for 15 minutes before the first dance for unknown reasons and we couldn’t do anything until they got back
