From start to finish, the experience for Weddings by Shooting Stars was exceptional. Sana was very responsive to emails and text messages. We were able to meet the team during our pre-wedding photo shoot months before the wedding, and this helped us to build a nice relationship with them. During the wedding events themselves, we worked with Deepesh, Kani, Cap, and Prathik. They made the experience VERY fun and created a no-stress environment. They have a lot of innovative ideas for photos and videos. One moment that stuck out to me was when I was looking nervous at one of the early events. Kani caught my eye, smiled at me and motioned for me to take a deep breath and relax. That was a very special moment that helped me to enjoy the rest of the events! Each member of the team was extremely respectful and always asked permission before touching the clothing or placing us in a certain pose. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend WSS! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Weddings by Shooting Stars team. From the very beginning of the wedding planning process, they were incredibly professional, responsive, and attentive — always quick to answer emails and accommodate any questions or requests we had. Throughout each event, the team was punctual, flexible, and an absolute joy to work with. Big thank you to WSS for being such an amazing part of our wedding! Everything felt seamless. The team was so professional, on time, and well coordinated. We noticed how smoothly they worked with our planners, venue, DJ, and even our Brahmin to make sure every part of the day flowed perfectly. They managed to keep us calm while capturing the real moments that made the day so special.

The absolute BEST wedding photographers and videographers!! Their name does not lie, our final photos and videos were so cinematic and captured every emotion and moment from our multi-day wedding. We genuinely have so many good things to say about the WSS team. They were an absolute pleasure to work with!
Working with Sana to handle all logistics and details was always a seamless and easy process. She was quick to answer emails or any questions and was always very friendly and kind in her responses.
During our first few pre-wedding events working with Jess and Sajal was absolutely seamless. They were able to scout out the limited photo areas we had available and make it seem like we weren’t just in our parents' yard. They always hyped us up during our photos which helped build our confidence moving forward into the week and just overall made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They were absolutely phenomenal to work with.
Moving on to the latter half of our wedding week, we had the pleasure of meeting Deepesh and the rest of the team, who we instantly felt comfortable with due to their warm personalities and professionalism. It truly felt as though every single member genuinely cared about getting the perfect shot and angle for us to remember our wedding week by. We never once felt overwhelmed by all the photos and videos being taken because the WSS team made it so fun, easy, and natural for us.
We’ve since received some preview pictures and they’re unreal. The editing work is incredible and we’re so thankful to Deepesh and the rest of the team for bringing each moment to life. Their work is a testament to their craft as photographers and cinematographers and it was an honor to be able to witness you all in action doing your passion.

Gifted team who sees authenticity through the lens!
We could not have asked for a better photography team than Deepesh and his incredible team! From the very beginning, Deepesh made it a priority to truly get to know us. During our engagement shoot, he took the time to understand our vision and style (we leaned more editorial), and he adapted to bring that to life. His entire team has a true gift for capturing authentic vulnerability, which was a priority to us. Deepesh finds the beauty and turns it into timeless art. He’s also incredibly creative and collaborative!! If you have ideas, he’s all in to make them a reality. On the wedding day, the teams' coordination was seamless, and we did not have to worry about a thing. He guided us with such ease and calm to make sure every shot felt organic. Even when we weren’t posing, he found the most beautiful, natural frames that told the story of our day!
The photos/videos are stunning, natural, and full of feeling. We had so much fun looking through the photos to see the joy shared by our guests. We can’t say enough amazing things about Weddings by Shooting Stars and the incredible job they did with our wedding photography and videography. From the beginning, they made us feel so supported and truly took the time to understand our vision. The final photos and videos captured every emotion, every detail, and every moment so beautifully.
What really stood out was how personal their approach was. They really individualized everything to reflect us as a couple. It made the whole experience feel so comfortable and natural.
Even after our contract was finished, they went above and beyond by creating a custom video reel for us, simply because they knew we had wanted one. That reel has become something we watch all the time. It brings back all the joy and emotion of that beautiful day every time we see it.

A wedding photography experience!
Choosing the right photographer was one of the most important—and daunting—decisions we had to make during our wedding planning. After all, these photos would be the memories we’d cherish forever. After exploring several options, we ultimately chose Weddings By Shooting Stars, and we couldn’t be happier with that decision.
Our first encounter with their work was back in 2022, at a friend’s wedding in Arizona. I remember being blown away by the photos—each frame was full of life, detail, and emotion. From that moment on, I knew I wanted that same level of artistry for our own wedding.
Fast forward to our wedding planning, we narrowed down our list and decided to reach out to Weddings By Shooting Stars. That’s when I had the pleasure of speaking with Deepesh. He was not only incredibly kind and accommodating but also extremely knowledgeable about South Indian weddings and traditions. His experience and calm guidance instantly put us at ease. During our four-day celebration, working with Deepesh and Ali was nothing short of spectacular. They brought creativity, energy, and a sense of adventure to every moment. One of the most unforgettable highlights was our photoshoot at Multnomah Falls. Even in freezing temperatures, they had us laughing and running across the bridge to capture the perfect drone shot—and it was so worth it. That moment ended up being one of the standout shots in our wedding teaser.

Deepesh was by far our favorite vendor to work with! His passion and love for photography is very clear and he and his team made sure everyone - from us, our parents, and even our guests that they were the stars of the wedding. When my partner and I were looking for a photographer for our wedding we looked at countless websites and hundreds of photos but we took a chance and reached out to a company we could have easily missed: Weddings by Shooting Stars. We almost passed them by because their website only featured South Asian weddings and neither my fiancé nor I are South Asian.
But there was something about the photos on their website that we really fell in love with. So vibrant, so beautiful, and so full of life!
So we reached out to them, not sure if they even did weddings for non-South Asian couples - let alone gay couples - but Deepesh and Sana could not have been kinder or more enthusiastic. “Yes! Of course! Let’s set up a time to talk by phone so you can tell us your story. We love a good love story! We also want to make sure we choose the right photographer from our staff. Someone who will be perfect for you guys. We want to understand who you guys are. We want to capture your story not just your pictures.”
They were great every step of the way. And they did, indeed, choose a terrific photographer for us. His name was Mandar and he was amazing. Kind, thoughtful, creative, easy to work with and the perfect balance of presence and unobtrusiveness. He made great suggestions, never interrupted the flow of events, and was very in tune with us and intuitive throughout the entire day. Something no one ever tells you about your wedding day is that the person you will spend the most time with, apart from your spouse, is the photographer! They are there every step of the way. So you really want to be sure they are a positive presence. Mandar was definitely that!
We were very lucky to have had such a beautiful wedding filled with amazing memories. Thanks to Deepesh, Sana, Mandar, and the team at Weddings by Shooting Stars we will be able to enjoy those memories for many years to come!

The team at Shooting stars went above and beyond for our desi wedding vision. We booked them for our Mehndi and Wedding. Deepesh provided an amazing pre-wedding photoshoot which was an absolute blast. He does a great job at making you feel comfortable while posing in public. Deepesh himself was not available for our wedding dates, so he generously arranged a second photoshoot for us to meet our "day of" film team. Our lead photographers and videographers - Jess & Swap, were a rockstar duo.
At Desi weddings, it can be a challenge to manage the family photo portion of the event. My wife and I expressed that we wanted to keep this short, so we could enjoy our night rather than be stuck taking photos for hours. Jess was an MVP here. She directed all our family members, positioned them for the best poses, and kept the night moving. Our wedding photos came out stunning, and we've had many friends inquire about who shot our wedding. We loved her leadership and energy!
Our videographer Swap was extremely fun to work with. He had so many creative angles and shots that shined in our videos. We had choreographed dancing at our events and Swap did an amazing job keeping up with the action. Ask Deepesh to show you the gimbal shot during my little brothers Ghungaroo performance.
Shooting stars also went above and beyond with the editing. Our first draft had some audio issues and we requested a number of visual changes to be made. The team went through every change we asked for and made it happen. Seriously, the customer service effort was exceptional. It's extremely rare to find anyone as passionate as the folks at Shooting Stars. They delivered us our dream wedding film/photos.
My best advice for anyone looking to book Shooting stars:
1) Don't wait to book, because they will get booked months in advance & you'll regret it.
2) Ask for Deepesh Jess & Swap if they're available!
3) Never cheap out on Photo/Video. Just don't do it. Cheap out on the Limo, the DJ, the Dessert. Anywhere else but Photo/Video. No one will remember the mango ice cream - trust me.
4) Be clear about what your photo/video vision is during the initial talks. May be hard to do if you haven't been to a lot of weddings (like me), but ask Deepesh for some of his past work and see if that aligns.
5) Patience, Patience, & Patience. We got our final wedding photos/videos about 7 months after our wedding. As someone who edits/films himself, good things take a long time to create & good vendors have a lot of clients.
We cannot recommend Shooting Stars enough & we will definitely return to them in the future for other events.

Me and my wife hired Weddings by Shooting Stars after meeting them through a Dulhan Expo. We were instantly impressed with their passion for what they do. Our biggest concern was that they’d be too expensive but we got a very reasonable quote given their quality of work. During the entire process they were extremely friendly, patient, and professional which was huge for both me and my wife because we naturally have RBFs. Due to the pandemic we did have to wait a bit to get our pictures/videos but it was well worth the wait given the quality of work done by Deepesh and his team. We both highly recommend Wedding by Shooting Stars for all those currently in the wedding planning process. -

So blessed to have had the presence of Weddings by Shooting Stars capture my memorable moments with my soulmate and family. Glad that we wished upon you guys!
Last year in the midst of a pandemic with all the stress of trying to stay safe, we had to change all of our wedding plans to Aug 2020 (still during uncertain times), I was so lucky that Deepesh/Wedding by Shooting Stars was very accommodating. Deepesh was very patient and wonderful in being available to discuss options and changes.
We knew Wedding by Shooting Stars was for us because Deepesh and his team capture raw emotion and happiness in their photographs. Everyone is different, some people want posed photos and some want natural. Deepesh is great in giving couples their desired dream photos, as he discusses everything in detail with you well in advance.
During out first conversation, he sounded so familiar like an old friend. He suggested a winter/snow photoshoot, we knew that was what we had to do it because my husband and I love being outdoors. He was amazing and hilarious during that photo session, getting down and rolling in the snow, to get the perfect shot. He worked with our personalities to get the perfect photos. He and his colleague got great natural photos that we will cherish. Every snowfall reminds us of that day.
On our wedding day, it was crazy hectic as it was still amidst a pandemic, but Deepesh and his team was early and ready to go. They went with the flow and Deepesh is very patient and understanding. He captured every tear of happiness that was shed and every laugh that my husband and I shared. I always thought crying isn’t captured well in photos, but Deepesh has taken terrific organic photographs that I love those pictures a bit more and now know I am a beautiful cryer….lol.
Deepesh and his Wedding by Shooting Stars team is extremely efficient, we received our photographs and videos a lot sooner than expected. He is very knowledgeable and suggested the perfect song for our video based on the vibe and atmosphere that was create during my wedding. It’s like he knows what you want before you say it.
It was wonderful to work with an easygoing and understanding vendor. Highly recommended!!!! -

Working with Deepesh and his crew has been just an amazing experience. From the moment you meet him, you realize his passion for photography and making the best product possible. The whole time we felt like models for a glamour magazine. He has an amazing eye and does not want to just give a "cookie cutter" experience. We have used him for our engagement party and he has gone above and beyond. We will also be using him for our pre-wedding photo shoot. His videography partner is calm and very nice. Explains things very well. We'll likely write another review once that process is over, but so far we cannot say enough great things. Only advice would be to make sure you plan on having set photographs during your reception as he likes to use the evening as a backdrop for great photos too. Beautiful pictures!
Deepesh did our pre-wedding shoot and we are so glad we got to work with him! Even though it was raining, he didn't cancel the shoot and came up with some creative location and photo ideas. He is amazing at creating a fun and engaging mood and that kept my husband and me smiling our best smiles the entire time.
