Amazing experience

Working with Janet was everything that we had hoped for and much more. Communication with Janet was on point and very structured during the entire process. She was very knowledgeable, which helped guide us with making the best decisions for our ceremony. We were very grateful for how easy she made the process. She was always willing to do video calls and answering emails and texts to make sure that we all were on the same page.

During the ceremony, Janet commanded everyone’s attention and took control which made everything go very smoothly. What we appreciated the most at certain moments, she would tell us both to take a deep breath and breathe. That helped calm our nerves and for us to re focus, which was extremely helpful. If you are looking for an officiant who is a great person, well organized and very professional, we highly recommend Janet!

Simply the best!

It is be hard to even express how much gratitude we have for Janet. She was simply one of the most instrumental parts of our ceremony. Her clear guidance and thoughtfulness prior to the wedding made such a difference that when the ceremony came along, we were full of confidence and everything came into place. Her delight and appreciation of rituals, ceremony and commitment shined through the entire wedding. Her genuine joy made the guests feel at ease while her storytelling kept everyone captivated. A Very Special Part of Our Wedding (May 2025)

We knew from our very first conversation with Janet that we had found someone special. We are grateful for her gentle guidance through our disorganized planning process, and we could feel the deep care and investment she had for us and our wedding. When we realized minutes before the ceremony that we had forgotten to bring our wedding bands, she did a wonderful job adjusting her plan and engaging with our guests as we stalled for the rings to arrive. Janet is such a kind and warm person, and we want to thank her for sharing in our joy and for helping to make our day truly special.

Perfect and everything we were hoping for!

Janet did such a wonderful job officiating our private forest elopement ceremony. She is so caring, kind, and intentional. Highly Recommend

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Janet for our wedding back in October! She took a great deal of time to meet with us and learn about us as a couple and individuals before drafting up the vows. We wanted to do general vows for the ceremony and our own vows in private. She sent over many different ideas, as well as templates/ideas for drafting your own vows. She was very friendly and professional throughout the process, and we really appreciated how well and often she communicated with us. My husband and I wanted a non-denomination but spiritual wedding, which she was able to provide us with ease. We highly recommend Janet for any wedding!

Mackenzie & Sam Wedding 2024

We initially spoke with Janet in February of 2024. After the phone call, we knew she had to be our officiant. She was organized, thoughtful, and incredibly warm throughout the entire process.
Our ceremony was stunning. She captured the intimate energy we were looking for and wrote us a beautiful love story. Janet's entire ceremony script followed exactly the vibe and requests we had shared with her, and our guests are STILL raving about the ceremony almost 3 months later. Beautiful Autumn Handfasting!

Janet was a delight to work with! From the minute we met, she understood our energy and vision for the sweet intimate ceremony we wanted. She prepared a draft of the script based upon our conversations and was wonderfully easy to work with on honing it into exactly what we wanted. I especially appreciated her reminders to be present with the love all around us, instead of worrying about the dizzying duties of being a bride. While we hope to not need a second marriage ceremony, I would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Janet was incredible. We reached out to her with a vision of having a ceremony on a cliff and she DELIVERED. We highly recommend Janet!

Fantastic Experience!

Working with Janet was a breeze. She was so calm and reassuring which was much needed during the hecticness of wedding planning! She was so easy to work with and really made the perfect ceremony for my husband and I. We were originally worried that having an officiant was going to make our ceremony too emotional and/or religious which we really didn't want and she listened to our concerns and ideas and created something so special that we both absolutely loved. She made things relaxed and light hearted and even got us giggling throughout. I couldn't have imagined a better ceremony for us and would definitely recommend Janet to anyone! Janet is the best!!!

We are so happy we chose Janet to officiate our wedding. Since my husband and I aren’t super religious, we wanted to keep the ceremony light and integrate more spirituality/focus on the surrounding environment around us (nature!). Janet did a wonderful job integrating this into our ceremony, and was open to any changes we wanted to make. Janet was an amazing person to work with! From the second we spoke to her we knew she would create a beautiful ceremony based on who we are as people. Janet utilized the information we gave her about ourselves, our partner and who we are a couple to make a memorable ceremony. Our guests also thought it was truly beautiful! Janet also moved around throughout the ceremony so we have photos with her and her off to the side. As a person is very sweet, communicate well and have a calming presence. Janet Dunn creates a very intimate, special, ceremony ALWAYS to be remembered

Janet was able to take all the answers to our couple's questions, and create a very personal, intimate, creative, love story to tell all of our guests. I was surprised at how much she really did listen to all of the details we shared with her about our love story and meeting each other. It is something I will always remember and cherish. Perfection

Janet you complete us :)

Janet made our ceremony amazing. She added so many personal details and stories that it felt as if we’d known each other for years. We both felt comfortable and had confidence in Janet and her ability to make our day special. Our guests were pleasantly surprised and everyone commented on how much they loved the ceremony. Our only regret was not hiring a videographer to capture everything Janet said.

Janet came to our venue for our rehearsal, helped walked us through the process and put us at ease (we were completely clueless), and came back the next day for the ceremony. She did so many small things, like being conscious of not being in every picture by moving to the side and doing a private blessing.

We honestly felt that Janet believed in us as a couple and she gave us that boost to believe in ourselves as well. Thank you Janet!

Janet made our wedding ceremony extra special

Janet Dunn is everything you'd want as your wedding officiant. She's kind, warm, patient and personal. Janet took the time to get to know my husband and I. She sent us thoughtful questionnaires so that she could create a personalized wedding ceremony for us. These questions also really helped my husband and I to reflect on what WE wanted, and to rediscover some really special memories. Janet did a rehearsal with us and our families, and was so kind and patient. On our wedding day, she made us feel so special and so confident. She encouraged us to write and share our own vows. During our ceremony, she read the most beautiful love story to all of our family and friends - who were all laughing, and crying with joy. Janet truly made our day feel so very special. She is a kind woman, who's incredible at her job, and has the sweetest soul. I would recommend Janet ten times out of ten to anyone looking for an officiant who goes above and beyond on their wedding day. Thank you Janet, we hope you are well!

Truly the best!

Janet is absolutely AMAZING. I struggled with finding an officiant that met our needs - my fiancé and I are different religions - we wanted our ceremony to be focused on our love - not cheesy, not overly religious, but still touching on our faith. Our ceremony was so beautiful - months before, we talked to her on the phone to get to know one another and my fiancé and I filled out a questionnaire about our relationship. The ceremony was personal and perfect - Janet took our answers and created a ceremony revolving around our love story, it was truly everything we wanted. Janet was able to personalize what we wanted, adding in a few readings and a wedding prayer. We had so many compliments from our wedding attendees. I cannot say enough great things - highly recommend!

Excellent!

Janet was amazing from the moment I first contacted her! She was incredibly warm and genuine throughout the entire process, and on our wedding day, she was super patient while I took off my shoes to walk out to the spot where she married us. In short, I would absolutely recommend her for any event!

Wedding Officiant

Janet did a beautiful job giving us a heart felt ceremony that everyone enjoyed. She worked hard to write a love story that we reflective of our whole relationship, which was not an easy task as we were together for 12 years before getting married. She was very responsive throughout the entire process and allowed us the opportunity to review the whole ceremony and make changes if we wanted to - however none were necessary as she truly wrote so beautifully! Her words had us laughing, crying and reassuring us that she was truly the best officiant we could have picked! We cannot thank her enough and highly recommend her!

Working with Janet was a Dream

We cannot thank Janet enough for her officiant services at our September 2022 wedding. From my first phone conversation with Janet, it was obvious how much dedication and passion Janet has for her work. Within the first few minutes of speaking with her, I knew that Janet was the perfect officiant for our wedding. Janet made the planning process as personalized and simple as possible -- she sent detailed questionnaires to learn about us as a couple and as individuals. She provided us with a variety of options, from writing our vows or selecting from vows that Janet sent to us. During the ceremony, although my husband and I were incredibly nervous, Janet had such a calming presence that put us at ease. We have received so many compliments from our guests, who stated how thoughtful, passionate, and personalized Janet’s words were. A warm and joyful officiant

Janet put together such a special ceremony for our wedding. She sent us a bunch of questions a few months prior, and based off of those she put together a ceremony that matched us perfectly. During our wedding she radiated such love and joy, which was expressed in the words she spoke, and genuinely seemed so happy for us to be getting married.

Janet is a gem!

Janet officiated our September ceremony. From the time we contacted her to even the moments after our ceremony was over, she radiated a sense of calm that made us both feel completely at ease. We loved Janet!

After an initial phone call interview with Janet I knew that she was going to be wonderful to work with because of her immediate energy, warmth, and flexibility. We got to know her several times throughout the wedding planning months and got to know Janet which was really helpful to make our ceremony personal. She was attuned to what we wanted, had a great sense of humor and brought BOTH a seriousness and a levity to the ceremony that our guests really appreciated. I had a TON of comments from guests about how amazing our wedding ceremony was. 10/10 recommend and I would DEFINITELY book Janet again in the future.

Professional but Personal!!

After seeing Janet at another wedding, my fiancee and I were super excited to book her for our own! She works with you both, and gives plenty of options to choose from, to curate a beautiful ceremony. She also works with you individually to come up with a love story she can tell on the day of. The Ceremony Sets the Tone

We wanted an interfaith ceremony that pulled in some of the traditions but mainly focused on nature and our love connection, and Janet helped us do just that!! She worked with us to make sure there was feeling behind all of the words spoken during the ceremony. She nailed our love story and kept our guests laughing and smiling. We feel so lucky to have been able to have Janet officiate our wedding, as it exuded love and partnership. These feelings literally carried us through the weekend.

Wonderful wedding ceremony

Reverend Janet Dunn performed a wonderful ceremony for my daughter and her fiancé. The engaged couple were very busy prior to the wedding and Janet was very flexible about meeting with them by zoom. She had great recommendations to include in the ceremony and encouraged the couple to include whatever elements they wanted. The ceremony incorporated some Jewish traditions and readings. Some wedding guests commented on how much they liked the ring warming ceremony. As the mother of the bride I highly recommend Reverend Dunn!

We are so glad to have found Janet Dunn.

Janet was very understanding when we postponed our 2020 wedding for a year due to Covid. When we got back in touch with her in 2021, she had not forgotten, and had reserved that same weekend 365 days later just for us. We met with Janet a few weeks prior to the wedding when she was in our area for another wedding that happened to be close by. We knew right away that Janet was just the kind of person that we wanted to be our officiant. We had a pleasant conversation and left very relaxed and confident in Janet's abilities.
Janet conducted the rehearsl at our new venue the day before the wedding. We didn't quite know what we were supposed to do, thankfully she did, and guided us through everything with a final review before the end of the rehearsal.
The next day, dressed perfectly for the occasion, Janet was there and gave us the calm voice we needed on a stressful day. Our caterer was over an hour late, not even there by the time were supposed to walk down the aisle, so my stress level was extraordinarily high. Not Janet, she set the tone where it was supposed to be. She incorporated the vows we had written into her words and made it joyful for everyone.
Janet was there for us. She stayed for some formal pictures with our photographer. She was even patient before the ceremony when I was way out in the parking lot searching for a cell signal to call my very late caterer instead of at the alter where I was supposed to be. Janet saved the day. Thank you Janet Dunn!

Wonderful, thoughtful, perfect officiant

We were thrilled with the heartfelt and beautiful wedding ceremony Janet crafted with us. We are not religious, so our goal was to have a ceremony rooted in nature and spiritualism. Janet absolutely nailed it while also helping us to keep the more religious/traditional members of our family satisfied. She spoke with us multiple times leading up to our big day and kept us organized and on track throughout the process. We especially loved the "love story" element she incorporated into our ceremony. Janet gave us tons of great ideas for rituals and readings to incorporate into our wedding that matched our style. Our day was so magical. We cannot recommend Janet's services enough.

Excellent Officiant!

Janet Dunn made our non-religious wedding ceremony absolutely wonderful! Her warm personality made us feel like we'd known her forever and she was very flexible with scheduling a rehearsal to meet our needs. Beautifully well spoken officiant, highly recommend

To be completely honest, the only part my husband and i thought we cared about during the ceremony were the “I dos”. We met with Janet multiple times to discuss our wants and needs as well as for her to get to know us better. Each time we met, we emphasized that we wanted as short of a ceremony as possible. Perhaps because we’re non-religious and wanted to skip those parts, or perhaps because we just didn’t realize how beautiful our ceremony could really be. Either way, I could have never really prepared for how meaningful and beautiful Janets words were. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away 15 minutes before our ceremony. It was somewhat expected at any moment however as expected as it was, it shattered those of us that were there that knew her. My father in particular. Within moments, Janet was able to incorporate a beautiful prayer in the middle of our ceremony per my request, and it felt as though it had been planned to be said at that point all along. She was quick on her feet, respectful, and so wonderfully well spoken. She’s truly a master of words and writing romance stories.

Perfect ceremony

Amazing ceremony!!

We absolutely loved having Janet as our officiant! She went above and beyond and really helped us plan our wedding ceremony. Perfect Ceremony

After our ceremony, many guests inquired as to how long we have known Janet for. Her ceremony was deeply personal and unique. It was clear that she worked hard to write a ceremony just for us. The phone conferences and inquiries via email resulted in a finished product that our guests still talk about, and they were shocked to hear that we had not known Janet for a longer period of time. She was also incredibly flexible. Due to concerns of potential travel restrictions with COVID, we switched our wedding venue to our home state of CT. Without hesitation, Janet replied and said that she would still officiate our wedding. We have absolutely no regrets in hiring Janet to officiate our wedding and recommend he to anyone looking for an officiant!

Great Choice

Fantastic experience with Janet Dunn

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Janet and feel so lucky to have found her. She was sensitive, thoughtful, and generous, with a warm spark and sense of humor. She was super quick and responsive with emails and phone calls, and easy to talk with on the phone. I (bride) was initially nervous, but she put us both at ease immediately. The ceremony itself was perfect; she picked up on our "vibe" precisely. We are extremely grateful. Now we just have to stay married forever, as a further testament. :)

Beautiful ceremony and incredible to work with!

My husband and I cannot say enough about Janet and the experience we had working with her on our wedding ceremony. From our first conversation, Janet was so thoughtful and sincere and made us feel like we had known her for years. Throughout the ceremony planning process she was both responsive and respectful of our wishes and ideas but also brought her experience and thoughtfulness to the process, encouraging us to think about our relationship and how we wanted that to show up throughout the ceremony. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect, and Janet made it uniquely ours! So many of our guests asked us about Janet and raved that it was the best ceremony they had ever been apart of. Janet was so responsive and kind from the moment we reached out to her. She really took time to learn our backgrounds, how we met, and what was special to us. Absolutely Perfect

Where do we begin? With less than 2 months to plan, we decided we were going to hike up a mountain and get married. So after an evening of researching officiants, we contacted Janet - and from the very first immediate response, it was clear she was the perfect officiant for us! Fast forward to our wedding day, she hiked up the mountain with ease and was waiting for us at the top with a smile. Great Officiant!

Janet officiated my August 2019 wedding in Manchester VT.

Janet was great to work with- sent us a very helpful packet to assist us in writing our vows. We also had some productive calls with her prior to the ceremony to make sure everything was all set.

We are not religious and it was easy to create a short yet meaningful ceremony with Janet.

If you are looking for a kind, knowledgeable, and flexible officiant, I cannot recommend Janet enough!

Rev. Janet Dunn is a beautiful soul and translated our love story to our guests in such a beautiful way

Choosing an officiant for our wedding ceremony was surprisingly difficult for us. Having only attended more formal traditional weddings, it was important to us that we find a celebrant who can capture our love story while balancing formality and tradition with the uniqueness of our relationship and what we wanted to achieve in our ceremony. Rev. Janet Dunn did exactly that. After a few meetings we felt that Rev Dunn understood who we are, both as individuals and as a couple, and she was able to translate that for us to our guests in the most beautiful way. We would highly recommend Rev. Dunn as a celebrant/officiant for your wedding and hope to celebrate more of life's events with her in the future!

We’ve had some time to reflect on our wedding day and we’re just so completely delighted with every part of it! From our initial phone call to the moment we were pronounced husband and wife, Rev, Janet Dunn was simply wonderful to work with as our wedding officiant!

Right from our first phone call with Janet, it was obvious that she has a deep passion for her craft. She was such a wonderful listener and was clearly receptive to each and every detail and idea we shared. She provided a wealth of great materials to help inspire and structure our ceremony. Throughout the entire process, Janet was totally available to us and maintained excellent communication. A ceremony people will remember forever!

From the first time I spoke to Janet she radiated such beautiful positive energy. She was very responsive and made the entire process of picking out our vows and such so easy. Our ceremony was simply amazing!

I would highly recommend Rev. Janet. We were so pleased with the ceremony she put together for us. It was so special and unique, really suited our style. I knew I wanted a non-traditional wedding, not planning to marry in a church but it was important to me that the ceremony really captured the relationship my husband and I have built together. Janet made it so easy for us to share with her beforehand our stories about our relationship and our goals as a couple so she could get a good understanding of who we are as a couple. We got married at the top of a ski slope of a mountain resort where we spend a lot of our time together in the winter months so you could imagine our view was pretty spectacular. Janet made sure to add natural pauses throughout her script and my family took notice of this mentioning afterwards how much they appreciated that she did this. It allowed for them to reflect, enjoy the view and truly take in the experience being present at those moments. During the ceremony, Janet spoke about our love story. This is probably the one moment I can remember where I had to fight back the tears. It was so beautifully written and truly captured our story so well. It made our ceremony so special and we really cherished every minute of it. So many of my friends and family spoke so highly of the ceremony, it was so heartfelt and genuine. Far better than I imagined. I can't thank Rev. Janet enough for her part in the best day of our lives.

unrepeatable miracle

Janet was perfect. I sometimes dislike when people write reviews with the word 'perfect' but it's truly the most accurate way to describe her role in our wedding. She took the time to really get to know my fiance and I, which added such a special touch to our ceremony. I was completely at ease resting the responsibility of our ceremony in Janet's gentle, kind, sweet, and professional hands. Not only were my fiance and I blown away by the ceremony, but our guests were/still are(!) gushing about how beautiful it was! I would recommend Janet to absolutely ANYONE interested in having a very special wedding ceremony - she everything you could possibly need in an officiant and on top of that she is just an absolute joy to be around.

Key moments that Janet created included having us take pause to really take in the moment and inviting our guests to do the same. Janet was calm, attentive and very receptive to our thoughts and feelings. We received multiple great compliments from guests on our ceremony.

Working with Janet was a pleasant experience, including a surprise love story she wrote for us regarding how we met and our journey towards marriage. We chose a non-denominational ceremony, but to include spirituality and nature. The ceremony was exactly what we were looking for.

Everyone raved about our ceremony

Janet was amazing. Due to my crazy schedule we didn’t meet in person until our rehearsal but Janet makes you feel like you’ve known her forever! We communicated via phone and email and she was always quick to respond and make any changes necessary. All of our guests said the ceremony was beautiful- even one of the waitresses shed some tears. I highly recommend Janet for your needs!

Perfect Wedding Officiant!

Janet was very responsive from the start and was so warm and friendly throughout all our interactions. We had the chance to develop our ceremony with her and it turned out so perfectly.
