He made my wedding so special
I got married on Aug. 2018 and Gerard made our day so special he was kind, professional and very patient. Like usual there’s always someone running late in this case it was my mother and my sister so we couldn’t start without them. Gerard was so understanding and patient it made me feel horrible having him wait for over an hour but he reassured me it was ok. Not to mention he had another event a few blocks down. Thankfully he made it to his event and came back. I will forever be grateful. I recommend his services 1000000%. You will NOT regret it. That is why I am using his services again for my daughter’s quinceanera, my first grandchild’s christening and my 20th wedding anniversary of course if he’s available for the days. I promise you will be thankful you hired him. He is such a sweetheart and his work speaks for itself. Gerard was AWESOME! My wife and I are from PA so we did not have a church here in FL. We were looking for someone laid back and flexible...someone that could sprinkle in some religious aspects (for the parents/in-laws) while keeping the ceremony short and sweet (30 min or less). Gerard was so responsive during our year of engagement. We live in NY so we had zoomed but hadn’t met in person until the rehearsal. Gerard has the kind of personality that makes you feel like you’ve always known him. Gerard had a natural gift for making everyone feel comfortable. Our family and friends loved him. They actually thought that my husband and I knew him because we had such great chemistry. Gerard is funny, sweet, caring and genuinely good at what he does. When it came down to the last month of the wedding I sent him some ideas that I had for the ceremony and he sent me a script that I was able to add and make changes to. Very easy!

Perfect Night!

We're married!
We met with Mr. Lorentz via zoom, a few days before our wedding. He explained the process, let us choose our reasons and basically guided us through the ceremony. At the ceremony, he had a cute certificate we could use to sign and later hang from our wall; since I'd mentioned to him we needed to have our witnesses sign our license, which we forgot to provide at the given time. Everything went according to plan and we're now happily married!

From the first time I called him, he was nothing but professional. He catered to my needs, and eased my stress. He was punctual and communicated with me the whole time. He even helped by giving advice and taking care of the license for me. Long story short, I had to go to a different county to get my license. I thought I was going to have to make that long drive the next day to drop it off. But at the rehearsal, I handed it to him and he said he will take care of it from there. It was nice to have something lifted off of my plate. If I ever get married again, I'll definitely be calling him. Lol

All my guests keep saying how beautiful the ceremony was, it was truly something special. Would recommend him to anyone I know who is getting married! Due to covid, the pastor at our church wasn't able to be an officiant like we had originally planned, so we had to frantically search for someone who wasn't already booked for our date. Thank goodness Gerard was available! He was quick to write me back whenever I had questions and made sure to include our input when setting up the ceremony outline. Gerard was wonderful from the moment we meant him. He was so easy to work with and very responsive. It was nice that he wanted to meet us in person to get to know us and understand what we were looking for. He gives very helpful ceremony options to help choose how you want your ceremony to be. He helped me make some ceremony decisions when I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. I also really appreciated that he came to our rehearsal to run through it with us. It put my mind at ease for our wedding day. In addition he filed our marriage license for us. Gerard is experienced and he loves what he does which comes out in his work. How do you write a review that would let others know how wonderful Gerard is? Let’s start with how smooth the process was and how amazing our Ceremony turned out with Gerard as our officiant. The communication was lightning fast, and the information provided made customizing our ceremony the easiest part of planning the wedding. Gerard was more than happy to incorporate a hand fasting into our ceremony and even dressed to the theme of our wedding, which was a Scottish Motorcycle theme. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you are looking to get married in Southwest Florida, Gerard is the best in town!

Great Ceremony
I loved working with Gerad he responds supper fast, faster than The FLash. He is very helpful in giving information you will need for your big day. We receive our marriage license less than a week Gerad had sent it out for us. Our Ceremony was just what we needed and wanted.

Very responsive. Did a wonderful job with the ceremony and very helpful during the rehearsal! Obviously none of us knew what to do and he lead everything and it ran very smooth. He met whenever we needed too and always answered the phone or responded to text very quickly. He was very prepared, we had a very small technical problem with the tablet during the ceremony but he had a back up plan and picked right back up so fast! He answered all questions very well and the whole experience with him was nothing but wonderful!

Perfect ceremony!
Gerard was amazing! We planned our wedding from afar and he was very accommodating to meet us while we were in town for a short weekend. His communication was on point throughout our planning and he even gave us several recommendations of readings, vows, etc. He was a half hour early to our rehearsal and ceremony, dressed to impress, and performed great personable words for our ceremony! Gerard is very professional. He is very soft spoken but also very confident at the same time. We were very honoured to be married by him. The choices he had for us to pick from (pronouncement, vows, etc) were very good. I would strongly suggest any couple to hire him as your officiant.

I had made plans with another officiant before I found Gerard, she seemed very sweet over the phone at first. After speaking on the phone and through email she wanted me to send a $75 holding fee with no contract which I didn’t feel comfortable with. She insisted that if I didn’t send it then she would not mark me down. After a few more days I tried explaining how I would kinda want the ceremony, she responded that we would not discuss anything until I made the deposit without a contract. When I asked if I could give her cash in person instead of through the mail, she disagreed strongly. At that time I knew I needed to find someone else. I found Gerard to officiate my wedding and talking to him on the phone was a relief and less stress than with the woman I had previously spoke with. He sent me ideas of how I would want the ceremony and sand ceremony so my children could be apart of my big day. He sent locations since I was from Indiana and worked with me through all of it. I say I am blessed because he help me so much through all of it and even when I made a last minute location change he didn’t get mad or anything. We appreciate having you do our ceremony and being apart of our big day!

Gerard was amazing!! We had a casual wedding on a boat-access only island and he traveled by car and boat to be with us. He fit in with our group like he was family. He made the planning process so simple and organized. He traveled an hour just to meet us personally and talk details. The ceremony was perfect. He made it very personable and sweet. It was the best day of our lives and Gerard was a huge part of that. We would recommend him to anyone.

Gerard was very helpful with emails about recommendations as we were out of towners. He met us before our wedding day and made us feel very comfortable. We were glad we found him. On our big day we were not disappointed. He surprised me with my favorite passage from Corinthians! He was a wonderful part of our small wedding and our family. I can't say enough about our experience with Gerard!
He was very responsive to all our questions, he offered options and recommendations and was very open to our requests to make 2 families and 2 languages blend on a beautiful ceremony.
Gerard took the time to meet us in person, before the ceremony to go thru every detail and make sure things were ready to flow.

We had a wonderful wedding experience with Gerard. From our very first correspondences, Gerard was always quick to respond when ever we had questions and he returned phone calls promptly. He gave us advise we needed and some suggestions on photographers. On our wedding day, May 3, 2018, Gerard was on time and well prepared. We were having a small ceremony and Gerard gave us things to choose from of what we wanted him to say and he also allowed us to add bible verses as well. We said our own wedding vows which I truly loved. I didn't get to meet Gerard until I walked up to the beach to get married, and everything flowed together perfectly. We requested Gerard to officiate our services in Sanibel, FL on April 17, 2018 and he did a PHENOMENAL job! He was extremely professional and responsive - communicating several times per day and offering his advice, which was particularly helpful because we were planning the wedding from out of state. He let us know what was required, where the closest courthouse was, and even offered referrals for a photographer (which we ended up going with someone else, but it was still helpful). He sent us a script that he typically uses, with several options to choose from or the ability to add our own pieces. We ended up doing a blend of his script with a little bit of our personal touches added and overall, start to finish, the ceremony took about 15-20 min. It was truly wonderful. Gerard was extremely flexible, as we changed the location just a few days before and had an issue with parking so myself and my parents were a few minutes late.
Overall, for the services Gerard provided I would have expected to pay at least 3 times the amount we did - he is very affordable, which shows he does it because he enjoys doing it. He is very professional, easy to work with, affordable, patient and does a fantastic job. I highly recommend using him. Thank you Gerard!

Gerard was the absolute perfect fit for our wedding. We wanted a quick and simple ceremony and he was able to deliver just that. He gave us options of inserts to choose from, either longer or shorter versions. He also allowed me to choose other inserts I had found and put it all together for me. After the ceremony we had gotten sidetracked with pictures and he was patient and waited for us, and he also showed up to the ceremony early to get prepared.
