Great Experience

I had a great experience at Lillian Ruth. They called ahead of time to get a feel for what I might be looking for. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and I wasn't sure what to expect, but my consultant made me feel super comfortable the whole time. When we realized I wasn't going to find my dress there, the consultant gave me great advice about other places in the area to check out, which showed me that she cared more about helping me find a dress than about making a sale. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience

Lillian Ruth Bride is incredible! From start to finish, they made shopping for a dress a fun, laidback, and unique experience!

Liz went above and beyond to make the process smooth and fun. Before the appointment, she reached out to get a feel for budget, style, and who would be joining me at the appointment. Day of, she only pulled dresses that fell within my budget and style. She also provided excellent guidance on fit and helped manage expectations. Even though our appointment was for 90 minutes and ended at closing time, I felt no rush or pressure to buy a dress that day.

The vibe of the shop is also so relaxing and chic! They allow outside beverages and provide glasses for lots of champagne popping.

I loved my experience and was thrilled to find my dream dress at the first (and only) place I looked!

Only place to shop for a wedding dress!!

WOW!!! Liz is literally the best bridal fairy godmother ever and she made the whole experience a dream for me. From the moment we walked into the salon I felt extremely hopeful and excited to find my dress here. It was my first bridal experience and it surpassed my expectations! There were no sales tactics and I was even encouraged to continue looking at other places if I wasn’t sold on a dress yet. This stood out to me because after going to another popular bridal salon in the area I felt that I was being pressured into making a decision and it felt more like trying to buy a car than the dress I would marry my husband in. They took such great care of my and my guests and it was an unforgettable experience for us. They also recommended Sandra G’s for my alterations, and she made my dress fit like a GLOVE. I recommend this salon to every single bride and I am dying for my bridesmaids to get married so I can come back and spend more time at Lillian Ruth! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and that’s all thanks to Lillian Ruth!

Amazing bridal salon experience!

I went into Lillian Ruth Bridal in search of a veil and accessories and I was so blissfully surprised at what a wonderful experience it was in the salon. The staff were all so kind and accommodating, and the experience of the shop was tranquil and beautiful. I LOVE their veil selections and they helped me design custom earrings that I'm still receiving compliments on a month our from the wedding!

I walked in with no idea what kind of dress I wanted. I felt as a curvy woman I would have a harder time finding a dress that I would fall in love with. After talking with Liz for a few minutes, she quickly began to pull dresses and after trying on only 3, I found the one! She made my day so much easier and filled with laughter!

They were SO kind and helpful!! We didn't know that you normally make appointments for looking at dresses, and while some places like David's Bridal treated us like crap because of that, Wedding Wonderland was a dream! Loved my dress!!!

I cannot say enough great things about the ladies at Wedding Wonderland. I worked with Lisa to find my dream wedding dress. Lisa was great to work with - she listened to what I wanted and helped me find a dress that was everything I wanted and made me feel like a princess on my wedding day. Lisa went above and beyond to help me out even after purchasing my dress. She helped me arrange my alteration appointment with Sandra and always checked in with me to make sure my alteration appointments were going well. Lisa genuinely cares about her brides and does everything she can to make sure your wedding day is everything you want it to be. She is very connected in the wedding industry in Knoxville and makes great vendor recommendations. Thank you Lisa for such a great experience!

My mom, bridesmaids and I had the best experience at wedding wonderland. All the employees were helpful and great to work with- they helped match accessories, keep the style accurate from wedding dress to MOB dress! The dresses came in on time, were fitted well and were just gorgeous. Great experience- We bought all our dresses from them and accessories (shoes, jewelry)! I loved my Leann Belter dress, the bridesmaids wore Bill Levkoff in glacier blue! They are the best in the Knoxville, TN area!

My visit to this shop was great. Our appointment was with Lisa, the shop owner, who gave us her full attention. She is very knowledgeable about dresses and offered a lot of helpful information about things to consider when deciding on a dress and how that would impact the bridesmaids dresses. She helped me get the full vision of each dress by adding jewelry and even offered suggestions about ways to wear my hair with the different dresses I tried on. She offers a nice selection of very nice quality dresses at a range of prices.

I flew in for the weekend and really only had one day to find "The Dress" so pressure was high. Luckily I had booked my first ever bridal appointment at Wedding Wonderland. Lisa helped me so much, explained the store layout and what I could expect to happen during my appointment. Not only did she want me to find the dress but she wanted me to be well informed and to find the dress that fits my personality. I went to two other locations but I though about the last dress at Wedding Wonderland all day so when we went back Lisa remembered who I was and knew what dress I wanted. She even sent out the dress to be cleaned and said she would hang onto it until I was back in town. I love my experience and do it all over again! She took the stress away from the whole thing and just wanted what was best for me.

Lisa at Wedding Wonderland is fabulous! Finding my dream wedding dress was probably the least stressful and most fun thing about planning my wedding. Lisa is an expert with dresses- all I had to do was describe what I wanted and she found it for me! Lisa made suggestions that I never would have thought about, and we ended up customizing my dress- it could not have been more perfect! She gives her undivided attention and it is obvious she loves what she does. She even came in on her day off to help me try on the dress when it came in. Don't waste your time at any other place besides Wedding Wonderland! You'll find your dream dress here! :)

With no idea what kind of dress I wanted, Lisa was sure to make sure I tried on several styles so that I was sure on what I chose. We went there and another bridal shop in the area and the service didn't compare. I ended up going back to Wedding Wonderland to retry on my favorite from the day before and ended up finding another one in the process... THE ONE! Lisa was beyond helpful, honest, and genuinely fun to work with. You can tell she loves her job, and she is great at it!

I LOVED my Allure wedding dress from Wedding Wonderland - so much so that I sat around in it for several hours after the wedding was over because I just didn't want to take it off. It was the second dress that I tried on, and I just knew it was the one. Liz was fantastic in helping me find gowns to try on and giving me her honest opinion. Lisa was great and worked with me when I came back to purchase my gown. It was an all-around pleasure doing business with Wedding Wonderland!

I had a wonderful experience at Wedding Wonderland. On my first day of browsing, Lisa and her team were there to make suggestions or be in the background as needed. Once I found the dress, we moved on to accessories and I fell in love with a veil there. Not once did I feel pressured to purchase accessories from Wedding Wonderland. I appreciated the relaxed, boutique feel and was immediately comfortable. I was kept informed of when my dress and veil arrived and an alterations person was recommended. Sandra is WONDERFUL at alterations. I was so appreciative of the recommendation since she has 20 years of wedding dress alteration experience. Wedding Wonderland is great at communicating, offering appropriate alternatives to keep you within budget, and are welcoming and friendly every time. My experience there was all that I hoped it would be and I highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding dress to visit them!

I was struggling to find a simple, classic dress in Knoxville. Wedding Wonderland had the perfect selection. There is a dress for every style of bride and QUALITY ones, too. Lisa made me feel like a princess. The staff had so much patience with me while I struggled between two equally beautiful dresses. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous silk, organza ivory dress from a designer that only Wedding Wonderland carries. They will make sure you leave happy. Thank you!!

I loved my visits to Wedding Wonderland. Lisa was wonderful about making my little group of three of us feel as though we had her complete attention, even when she had another bride with a large group of maids and mothers in the store (who she lavished with attention as well). After seeing me try on a few dresses, she was able to make recommendations that I never would have selected on my own and they were always stunning. I felt like my time at Wedding Wonderland was the quintessential experience a bride selecting her dress would hope for.

All around a wonderful experience! The owner was so amazing and made me the center of all the attention ever single time I went in. She even came in on her off day while the store was closed so that I could find my perfect dress with my mom and sister without anyone else in there! DIVINE. If you are looking for a beautiful dress from a boutique that will treat you like their only bride, look no further. Wedding Wonderland has an extensive selection of quality gowns and reasonable prices. Lisa will treat you with such love and respect that it is unbelievable. What I loved most is that Lisa was not afraid to tell me her true opinion. We had a last minute veil change that I was hesitant about in the moment, but now that my wedding is over, I am SO thankful Lisa respected me enough to tell me she thought I would look better in something else. If you are looking for a boutique where they will make sure you look your absolute best, look no further.

As an aside, the fabric of my dress was backordered for several months delaying the arrival of my dress until about a 6 weeks out. Lisa never let on that this was concerning and was such a calming presence when I could have easily been flustered by the uncontrollable chain of events. She ensured my dress arrived in enough time to make the necessary alterations (which were actually quite minimal). Additionally, my dress had several custom features (bow instead of a belt, shorter train) which she was able to make happen with ease.

I'm the mother of a very picky bride. I cannot say enough about Lisa and Wedding Wonderland. We spent two months trying on dresses, even going out of state for a three day visit to the Cincinnati bridal district. My daughter tried on over 100 dresses. She made at least three appointments to try on dresses with Lisa, each time walking out uncommitted. At each visit, Lisa was as warm and willing to help as ever. She never showed any impatience and never pushed us in any way. She spent hours with us. She would comb through inventory in other stores, and borrowed dresses for my daughter to try on. After the order was placed Lisa was in frequent contact with us about the customizable features. Lisa's service, diligence and kindness can't be beat. She genuinely likes her customers and she likes her job. It's such a nice store to visit.

Wedding Wonderland is great!!!! I found my dream dress there! Honestly... even though I think it is a smaller store, they do a way better job with dress selection and variety than White Lace and Promises. Such a great store, and GREAT service!!! The owner remembered me and my dress almost a year after I bought it! Also, you have to go Sandra G for alterations, she's great!

Lisa was fantastic to work with - she was fun, patient, and let me pull out as many dresses as I wanted. We happened to drop in at the end of the year when they had lots of sample sales, and she did not push me to a more expensive dress. She answered all my questions and was helpful determining what alterations could be made to this off-the-rack dress.

I went to Wedding Wonderland just to try on veils and earrings and even though I had already bought my dress somewhere else and was only buying accessories, the staff were amazing and so helpful.

I live near Knoxville but had recently moved from Virginia where I had bought my dress and was getting married. I had been trying to find accessories online, but it was so hard to decide when I wasn't wearing my dress and I couldn't see what matched. Thankfully Wedding Wonderland was so accommodating and let me bring my dress in and try on accessories. Even though I ended up only buying earrings, they were beautiful and they have a wonderful selection of other accessories. Their dresses and salon were beautiful too and I would recommend anyone in the Knoxville area to go there.

They also dye Benjamin Adams shoes black after your wedding and offered to dye mine even though I hadn't bought my shoes at their store. I will definitely be taking them to be dyed so I can wear them to other occasions, the ones they showed me looked stunning!

Lisa was wonderful to work with. She made me feel special the moment that I walked in Wedding Wonderland. She made me feel beautiful even though I was a little nervous trying to fit in the sample dresses. Lisa was able to get me into every dress that I wanted to try. I couldn't thank her enough for making the dress process stress free and fun! I received compliments about my dress even after the wedding was over!

Wedding Wonderland was great across the board. My dress was 100% silk and cost a fraction of what I would have paid if I had bought a labeled dress in NYC. Even if you get your dress someplace else I would reccomend getting your bridesmaid dresses here if you want a dress from any of their designers just to make your bridesmaids lifes easier. My bridesmaids wore Melissa Sweet dresses and were able to put down half when we ordered and pay the balance when they arrived 6 months later. If we had gone through Priscilla of Boston everything would have been due upfront so this made the expense a little easier on everyone.

I also had a bridesmaid with a suprise pregnancy and they were able to order additional fabric at the last minute to take out the bust so they will work with you if you have a sizing oops.

I can not speak highly enough about Wedding Wonderland. Oh my gosh, they were AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME, TALENTED, PATIENT, SUPERB

After spending an hour at David's Bridal, and leaving in tears because of the atmosphere, the lighting and the unprofessionalism, I found myself at my next appointment Wedding Wonderland. We went in and met with Lisa, she gave us an overview of the store and let us choose dresses, afterwards she met us in a fitting room and literally put me in the dresses. I felt like a queen, I didnt touch a zipper, a button, a tie, and neither did my Mom or bridesmaids ... it was all Lisa. After going through several dresses and not finding the one, Lisa choose some selections. Well needless to say she came back with the one. The wedding dress store manager knew what I wanted more than I did. She choose the perfect dress for me. After ordering I came back for the fitting and then the owner offered to make a veil out of my Mothers gown and it was perfect.

These ladies are just too awesome, Lisa is the bomb! I will never forget this incredible experience, and the fact that it was Lisa that choose my perfect dress to walk down the aisle to marry my true love. Thank You Lisa, Thank You

I highly reccommed looking for your wedding dress at Wedding Wonderland. Ask for Lisa when you book an appt! Lisa was so helpful and truly made me feel like a princess! I tried on over 20 dresses in my own private dressing room, with room for 2 bridesmaids to sit comfortably and help. She did an amazing job fitting each dress to me perfectly, and was so helpful in suggesting dresses I might like. Each time I returned to look at something else, the employees always remembered me and were super helpful! The employees there really know their stuff, and it makes all the difference in the world!!

Lisa at Wedding Wonderland was fabulous. She never pressured or rushed my sale and I felt completely comfortable with her when I was almost in tears when I put on "the" dress. She oversaw the orders of all eight of my bridesmaids and even a groomswoman's dress and with her in charge of all that I never had to worry. All the dresses were great and we looked fabulous. The best part were the sweet notes Lisa would send in the mail as my day got closer... the service here was simply above and beyond!

Monta and the staff at Wedding Wonderland are wonderful! After my first visit with them I fell in love with the store. They always knew who I was when I walked in. I never had to tell them my name after the first visit. They have a wide selection of gowns to choose from for every budget. I also purchased veil, necklace, tiara, and shoes there. I found my bridesmaids dresses there and my mom found her dress there. We all loved the store and the staff there. They are so helpful! I'm sad I don't have a reason to go there anymore!

I went into Wedding Wonderland with my mother and Matron of Honor, and found a dress I wanted to try on. As soon as I tried it on, the first day I had even looked at wedding dresses, we all knew this was the dress. Since my wedding was only 2 months away, there was no time to order my size. Since I was having to buy the dress off the rack, they gave me a discount. They helped me find the perfect veil and tiara and shoes to match. They even had a lady right across the street from their store who does alterations. She took the size 10 down to a size 4 to fit me perfectly for only $150! Wedding Wonderland also custom made the Flower Girl dress for me, and it was beautiful and went along with my dress perfectly!

This place was awesome to work with!! They had the most unique dresses out of the 10 different shops I went to. Lisa was absolutely wonderful in helping me decide what looked best on me and with my dress. They could also change the dress to fit my body style and made it even more unique. Wedding Wonderland was the absolute greatest!! Getting married on the July 7th 2007 was not the easiest and Wedding Wonderland was the last place I ended up going...hopeful, but helpless. I had a picture of what I wanted and just as I walked in and was about to give up hope, Monta was there to the rescue. She simply asked me what I was looking for and took me to the dressing room. She picked out dresses that I described and I happen to LOVE two of the five she brought me. I tried on way more, but I knew I had found my dress. She was nothing but helpful, therefore I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from there as well. They were prettier than I could have imagined. My wedding was perfect...thanks to Wedding Wonderland!!

They were excellent at picking out dresses that would look good on me and I would like. They also let me explore on my own. They try to arrange it to where the same person can meet with you everytime, which I liked a lot. They also don't try to force anything on you, they allow you to take the time you need to make a decision...even if its takes a couple of appointments!

Though our wedding was in Texas, I live in Knoxville and bought my dress at Wedding Wonderland. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect wedding dress and shopping experience. I spent a long time trying on a good number and assortment of dresses, and it was everything I dreamed my experience buying my dress would be. Lisa assisted me, and was very helpful and made me feel very special. I had in mind a specific style of dress that just wasn't working out for me, and she convinced me to try on a style I did not think I would like - and I ended up buying it because she had recommend the perfect dress for my body type and personality! It was a good price for a beautiful dress, and they were so very helpful and sweet throughout the whole process.
I also ordered my wedding shoes from there, and they lent me a pair to take to try on for my dress fitting because mine hadn't come it yet, which really helped me out and was totally unexpected. They also will dye your shoes black for free after the wedding if you want so you have a functional pair of beautiful shoes to wear later on. :)

My daughter picked out and purchased her gown and bridesmaids dresses from Wedding Wonderland. We were extremely please with the service for the gowns. However, one of the bridesmaids gowns came in incorrectly from what was supposed to be ordered. The lady helping with this order denied they had ever had the style dress that was picked out but my daughter had the dress picture on her cell phone taken in the store. The store did pay to have the alterations needed to make the changes to the dress because of this miss-order.

Wedding Wonderland did a great job on my wedding dress. I absolutely loved my dress. The dress arrived when they said it would and the staff did a great job of helping me find all that I needed. I also bought my veil, some jewelry, shoes, and crenolin from them. Wedding Wonderland also ordered my bridesmaid dresses for me. The job that they did on the bridesmaids' dresses was not as satisfactory. When they arrived they were my 2nd choice of color instead of my 1st. The dresses had taken longer to arrive because of all the weddings happening on 7/7/07, so we did not have time to send them back and reorder. They also messed up the sizes of 2 of my bridesmaids. One dress was 4 sizes too large and required drastic alteration and the 2nd dress was too short. My matron of honor is taller than 5'7" and if that is the case, then they are supposed to order a tall dress. She received a regular length dress and the alterations lady once again had to work miracles to make it look like the others. After discussing the extra cost that my bridesmaids were going to have to pay due to their mistake, Wedding Wonderland did pay for the alteration cost of the dress that was too short, but refused to pay for the dress that was 4 sizes too large, because they said that one of her measurments must have put her in the larger category. ( none of her measurments should have been 4 sizes off) Over all they did a great job on the wedding dress, but only a fair job on the bridesmaids' dresses.

Owner accuses client of extortion plus more

RED FLAG UPDATE: This should serve as an additional warning to any bride buying at Lillian Ruth. After sharing my experience via the review below, the owner, Leslie, called saying she wanted to get more clarity on what happened and claimed she “wanted to make things right.” In that first conversation, Leslie accused me of “EXTORTION” and called my family liars.

Leslie was initially receptive to my concern that there were discrepancies in the consultants telling me how this dress fit. During the initial appointment, I was upset with the fact that the beading on the side bunched in an unflattering way. That day, the consultants said it would be fixed when my *new dress* came in. Well, when it came in, the bottom did fit, but the bunching was still present. The consultant on this day said the *alterations* would fix the bunching, which contradicts the other consultant’s statement. When taking the dress to our longtime seamstress, she said that’s just how this material works and that there was neither any easy nor cheap way to alter the dress to make that portion lay flat. Leslie insisted she had a list of seamstresses who could fix it, implying our seamstress was wrong. She offered a discount for the alternations, which was a seemingly kind gesture. However, she reached out to me FOUR DAYS later. I already had to find another dress in that time as the same consultant told me to “put it in the back of my closet and don’t think about it again”

Leslie of that, to which she said she was only reaching out in hopes of “making thing right” by offering the alterations. Things escalated from there, as I expressed concerns that I felt pressured by the consultant to make the purchase day of as she used language like “don’t yyou want this moment with your family and friends?” and “we’re down to the wire and need to order soon.” I was visibly distressed the day of the appointment, but gave into this effective sales technique and swiped my card with the hopes the new gown would arrive as the consultant explained.

I told Leslie, the owner, this and she said “I’m going to stop you right there. Our consultants don’t sell to make commission, we do what we do, because we love the bride.” It’s laughable, because it’s a business. They cannot exist without making sales. I don’t think it’s malicious. Again, it’s just business. It’s silly to imply anyone shows up to work purely out of passion.

Over the phone, on multiple occasions, Leslie brought up the 1 star reviews we left, saying those “ruin her week.” I told her, I felt like we weren’t getting anywhere as she said, again, she called to “make thing right.” I told her we would be happy to revise our review if we were able to get some sort of compensation back. That’s when she said we were extorting her. I honestly didn’t expect anything after the initial review from Lillian Ruth. A genuine apology would’ve been nice.

The conversation on Wednesday ended with Leslie curtly saying she would try to see if she could get us a partial refund, but she couldn’t make any promises.

On Thursday, she called back saying there was nothing she could do. She’s the owner, so that is confusing…. Regardless, I expressed that it would have been SO MUCH BETTER if she had just left things where they stood or been genuinely apologetic. She then said that continuing the conversation “only make us hate her more” if we kept talker. It shouldn’t have to be said, because this isn’t high school, but I told Leslie I don't hate her. However, I told her I am not fond of her unprofessionalism and also that I hope she uses this horrendous experience to serve future brides for the better. She then HUNG UP THE PHONE saying we weren’t getting anywhere.

BOTTOM LINE: Lillian Ruth’s owner, Leslie Rosenbaum, calls her clients liars and accuses them of unsubstantiated crimes when things don’t go her way. Seriously, go somewhere else. This was CRAZY

A 1 Star review…the Saga

Not a good experience. They didn’t size correctly or own up to the fact that the size was not done properly by the consultant. The consultant was more concerned about selling the dress than providing proper care to the special moment. After the dress came back in the recommended size and tried on the dress, the concerns brought up to the consultant prior to purchasing the expensive gown were assured that they would be solved post ordering in size. That statement was retracted and then stated after alterations, which why would they be trusted after providing poor advice? The consultant offered no solution other than “put the dress in the back of your closet and don’t think about it”. Unprofessional client care. CHECK THIS: the owner, Leslie, called us after seeing our review. She wanted to make it right, but Told us we were wrong and they made no mistake after exposing our side. Then Accused us of “extortion” after we offered a compromise (after the mismanaged advice) of adjusting our review on Google for a partial return. That would improve our experience which is a fair offer-not “extortion”? Which she was not willing to provide bc she couldn’t resell the dress as her response. Then accused us of lying - which why would we lie? Then said we hated her? We don’t. We just wanted a fair business practice of receiving a return after poor consultative advice. I.e. if a waiter tells you to order a meal and you don’t like it. You return the meal and the restaurant eats the cost. That’s not how Lillian Ruth operates. They simply want you to eat the meal they recommend even tho poorly advised. You’ll need to be 100% careful and take your time finding the dress YOU want..don’t let the consultants hit you with “don’t you want this moment with your family?” Like they did with us in an already distressing time of the wedding process.
