I am so thankful that Maura was a part of our special day, and I cannot recommend her to enough people. Having her play at our cocktail hour elevated the experience for our guests and so many people have reached out to say how great Maura was. Maura Kropke... Superstar

Maura was the perfect fit for our courtyard ceremony and cocktail hour. She plays beautifully. My mom teared up when she entered the courtyard and heard the music. And when a week before your wedding you ask her if she can possibly learn a couple out of the box pieces for the bridal processional and recessional and her reply is "No problem!" you know you chose the right person. Could not be more happy with how easy she was to work with and how it all turned out. Highly recommend, she was fantastic!

Wonderful musician!

We had Maura play out our wedding and she was phenomenal! She played as I walked down the aisle and our cocktail hour. I had dreamed about a violinist playing as I walked down the aisle since I was a little girl and Maura lived up to that dream!

Amazing violinist

Our wedding was in July 2022. Maura delivered on everything we asked for and did a phenomenal job! She played the violin for just our ceremony, and it made everything so much more beautiful, elegant, and emotional. She let me pick all of the music, some of which was classical, and then also some non-classical songs, including Turning Page and A Thousand Years. She was very communicative and professional throughout the whole planning process and the day of the wedding.

An Absolute Professional

I knew I was going to book Maura as soon as I viewed her profile. I held off probably until the last minute, but she showed up for us and is an absolute professional. I think she could probably play weddings in her sleep because she arrived on time, dressed appropriately, played beautifully and remembered to play what we discussed even though the order of events didn’t go exactly as planned on the day of. When other vendors let me down, Maura Kropke was a vendor I could trust, and I recommend her to anyone seeking gorgeous music for their big day! Whatever you pay, she’s worth it!

Great Violinist

Our wedding was very last minute but Maura had no problem stepping up to play our ceremony. I didn't get our song choices to her until days before the wedding but it was no problem for her. She was very responsive, easy to work with, and a great value.

Beautiful music

Maura is very responsive and talented and I’d recommend her for anyone looking to have live music for their wedding ceremony. From the beginning, Maura made it easy to plan her part, which we booked for the guest arrival and wedding ceremony. She has a helpful website and great recommendations. She also played every one of our requested songs that were all of the contemporary variety. And she played beautifully! My only regret is that as the bride, I didn’t hear more of it (we had to wait inside as guests arrived).

Beautiful Music & Professional

Maura is an extremely talented violinist and we could not be happier with having her as our wedding ceremony music! She did a beautiful job with everything she played and set the tone for our special day, giving us exactly what we wanted. Maura was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was responsive, friendly, and professional and we are extremely glad we went with her - she’s the best in the business! Talented Violinist

We had Maura play during our ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding on June 1st. She did a beautiful job and added that special touch we were looking for our day. Our guests loved the music and ambiance she set. We would highly recommend having Maura play at your event.

Maura was incredible! Not only is she very easy to work with but she is so talented. I live in NYC and was having a NC wedding. Maura face timed me so I could hear her music. On my wedding day, she played my favorite song, "All of Me" to walk down the aisle to and I will always remember that. Thank you Maura, we highly recommend!

Maura was awesome at our wedding ceremony!! She arrived before the guests and started playing as soon as they showed up. She met with me before the wedding so that I could listen to her play some songs and I was able to choose which songs I wanted played. She did a fantastic job and everyone loved her. Maura is absolutely AMAZING! She is extremely talented, professional and sweet. Maura played for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour – we received so many compliments (and actually have a friend that booked her right after the wedding!). I met with Maura to pick out music and I could not believe how talented she was – she can play anything!! She walked me through the ceremony and played each piece so I could imagine how everything would go. Everything she played was just beautiful. Where to begin? From booking to the big day, working with Maura was absolutely wonderful. In planning our wedding, we had a lesser-known musical piece in mind for my walk down the aisle and were not sure if we would be able to find a vendor able (or willing) to play it. We met with Maura over Skype and not only was she enthusiastic about the prospect of playing the unfamiliar piece that was so special to us (along with every one of our other requests), she grabbed her violin and gave us a mini concert right there over our meeting. We worked out a tentative song list for the ceremony, then finalized it at a later date. Maura had no problem traveling to our venue (to Raleigh from the coast) and she was very responsive and easy to reach in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding. On the big day, Maura was a consummate professional. She arrived early, warmed up while the chapel was being arranged, and played beautifully while guests arrived and were seated. Her performance throughout the ceremony was flawless, and when the time came for that requested song, she performed it perfectly. That moment will forever be dear to our hearts. Working with Maura was truly a pleasure and we would not hesitate to recommend her services!

Maura is an incredibly talented violinist and very professional! We hired her to play prelude and ceremony music for our wedding at Brooklyn Arts Center on December 20, 2014. She played beautifully and filled the entire space with delightful music. I couldn't have wished for a better musician. She answered every email in a timely manner and met with us beforehand to hear samples of her music. My husband and I were blown away with how beautifully she plays the violin! Not to mention that her personality is awesome! She made us feel totally comfortable and has a great sense of humor. Flawless and gorgeous! So many compliments on the violinist! She was impeccable, on time, and kind enough to play until my last few lingering guests took off! Extremely professional and talented! Quick to respond to emails. The chapel wouldn't let me have disney love songs played prior to the ceremony which upset me, and she suggested The Sleeping Beauty Waltz as an option, which was genius!

We are thrilled we chose Maura Kropke to provide the ceremony music for our wedding. She was extremely professional and talented. The music was beautiful. There are samples of her work on her website and she had great suggestions for song choices for the playlist for all sections of the ceremony - pre-, during, and post-ceremony. Our wedding was on the beach and the weather was iffy until about 1/2 hour before the ceremony. It was a bit windy, but her beautiful music was still able to be heard. I wish I had been around earlier to hear more of it!

The music was so amazing! Maura played beautifully, I received so many compliments about her!
She was also a great help in selecting the perfect ceremony music, including letting us know if she really thought that something would just not sound the way we would like on a single violin and making suggestions to replace those songs.
It just wouldn't have been the same without her incredible playing.

Maura was absolutely amazing on the day of our wedding! She nailed our ceremony music selection and it was the perfect touch and most memorable piece to our ceremony! We had an oceanfront cocktail hour to follow on the beach and it was PERFECT ! Maura stayed on the beach and continued to play for our guests and it was simply beautiful! Even when Maura arrived she played around the house while we were finishing getting ready and it was beautiful hearing the violin right before the ceremony! I highly recommend Maura and her services !

Maura was wonderful to work with. She was extremely responsive through emails. This was helpful since I live in Raleigh and was unable to meet her in person. She has videos and audio files on her website that make the process so much easier. Maura was very flexible and able to work with the pianist and play some unusual selections that were not traditional selections. The day of the ceremony she was very professional and the sound of her violin in the church was gorgeous.

If you are looking for a violinist for your wedding, look no further. Maura is talented and professional and provided beautiful music for our ceremony. And she is fun. She took time to meet with my mom and I to help me decide on our music and in less than 20 minutes she had played songs for me and we had decided on our ceremony music. She showed up early to play music for when guests arrived and worked seamlessly with our DJ, Jason Tatum, from Active DJ entertainment. I give her my highest recommendation.

Maura did an outstanding job for my ceremony, but I expected nothing less since I had heard her play at other weddings previously. She is able to play many different types of music and I know the wedding guests enjoyed listening to her while waiting for me to arrive. I just wish I could've gotten to hear a bit more of it myself. A musician is the way to go for a ceremony as they are able to adjust accordingly and there are no awkward moments while you are waiting for the song to end or any technical malfunctions, just beautiful music.

Maura was terrific to work with when planning our garden wedding in Wilmington, NC. I was referred to her by our minister, Rev. Penelope Morningstar, and immediately fell in love with her talent. She is a beautiful violinist and knows how to work in a ceremony setting. She provided a lot of music ideas, was open to anything, and ran the ceremony smoothly. She is a wonderful addition to your ceremony!

Maura did a wonderful job with our wedding ceremony, and she was even willing to play for our cocktail hour at the reception. She was professional in the planning, and her music was absolutely stunning on our big day. I would recommend Maura to anyone looking for a great musician. She can play everything from classical to contemporary and worked so well with the organist at our church!
