The BEST Wedding Planner

We truly don’t have enough words to express how grateful and overjoyed we are with Wedding Connections—and more specifically, Nicole Luka. Our wedding was two weeks ago, and every time we look back on that day, we’re filled with so much happiness and appreciation for how perfect everything was. Nicole played such a pivotal role in making that happen.

From the very beginning, Nicole went above and beyond. While we initially hired her as a Day-of Coordinator, she quickly became so much more—our planner, sounding board, wedding therapist, and, most importantly, a friend. She responded quickly to every single email, text, or call from day one, always ready with a kind word when we were stressed and creative solutions when we hit a snag (which happened more than once).

Our wedding was actually postponed due to Hurricane Helene, and we were absolutely heartbroken. Despite dealing with her own challenges at the time—including not having power—Nicole still reached out to us with a positive attitude and immediately helped get things back on track for our new date. We truly felt like she made us a priority.

On the day of the wedding and during our rehearsal, Nicole handled everything with incredible professionalism, calmness, and grace. She was organized, experienced, and completely in control. Several members of our wedding party commented afterward that they’d never seen a planner so on top of things—and many of them have been to a lot of weddings! She thought of everything. From keeping everything on schedule to making sure every vendor / wedding party member remembered their responsibilities, she helped create a day that was flawless in every way. It was, without a doubt, the best day of our lives—and we have Nicole to thank for so much of that.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to her assistant, Libby, who was equally wonderful—professional, kind, and so supportive.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Wedding Connections. If you’re a bride or groom looking for someone who is responsible, experienced, warm, and truly passionate about what they do—look no further. You will be in the best possible hands and have the most amazing wedding experience.

From the moment we started working with Nicole, it was clear we were in the hands of a true professional. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Nicole’s communication was impeccable. She consistently kept us in the loop with updates, ideas, and suggestions, ensuring that our vision was brought to life in the most stunning way possible. Her ability to listen and truly understand what we wanted made all the difference.

Nicole's organizational skills are second to none. She was always prepared and had everything under control without ever being pushy. BEST Wedding Planner in the Carolina's!

If you are lucky enough to have the chance to work with Nicole as your wedding planner, do it! Could not recommend her enough. Not only did she bring my vision to life - she made our wedding day beautiful, seamless, and so much fun. I will truly miss working with her! She has the kindest heart, and such a positive energy. She is incredibly talented - she has a subtle way of being your fearless leader, but also being your teammate throughout the process.

Nicole worked behind the scenes coordinating every single detail with our venue and vendors while and eased my worries that I was forgetting something every step of the way. Planning a destination wedding is not easy but she perfected every detail. I promise, you will LOVE her as much as we did!

Very helpful and a great experience

We worked with Nicole for our wedding at the Cathedral of All Souls and she was great! She helped us coordinate with the church, determine the best possible flow and kept us on track on the day of the wedding. Nicole made the decision-making process so easy and much less stressful with her hands-on approach. Nicole is a great person who I would highly recommend working with for your wedding!

This wedding will be a Life time memory

The wedding has much more exceeded my expectation. It was so perfect and beautiful. All of the guests enjoyed this a lot. The magic thing is that I only put some photos on pinterest and shared with Nicole. She has made my wedding exactly as what I have in my mind and even better. This is a life time memory for me. She is amazing! I chose full planning service because I don't know much about planning an event nor do I have time for it. She did most of the things by herself. I feel like I only need to enjoy the moment. Highly recommended!

Amazing Wedding Planning

Wedding Connections
When we began planning our wedding almost three years ago, Wedding Connections quickly impressed us as the wedding planning service of choice. We worked with the original owner, Sara Field-Bridges, and the new owner, Nicole Luka, to get us to the big day. Both Nicole and Sara were very responsive (which I cannot stress enough how amazing this was), extremely well organized, and clear subject matter experts in their field. Their large network of wedding vendors ensured we had the best that was to offer in Asheville. They were also extremely helpful in navigating us through delays because of the pandemic and were with us every step of the way. Through their guidance, we had a wedding that our attendees say was “the best wedding” they’ve ever been to Nicole loves what she does, and the results speak clearly to that. Our wedding day was a work of art, with so many moving parts, all of them expertly managed by Nicole. The best is that through the planning, the delays, and everything else, we gained some amazing friends.

Calm, Cool, and Collected!

I worked with Holly and her team for my wedding "day of coordination" and it was the best decision I made! Holly did way more than "day of" services for me. We had several phone calls and email exchanges leading up to the wedding weekend. She helped me stay organized and prompted me to think of important details that I probably wouldn't have even thought about had I not been bouncing ideas off of a professional. The thing I loved the most was Holly's calm and confident personality. She was very assertive without stressing anyone out which is so important when surrounded with domineering personalities. She was so knowledgeable and kept everything running smoothly. I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about anything. It went off without a hitch and I couldn't be more grateful!!

We had secured the venue, florist, photographer, etc for our daughter's wedding and felt we had everything in hand. We hired Frankie Keller and Holly Rogers with Wedding Connections as our Day-of-Coordinator and quickly realized we hadn't thought of so many details! A must for a unique, beautiful, and stress-free wedding

Hands down the best money we spent on our wedding! Sara is so creative, thoughtful, professional, and detail oriented. My in-laws decided to hire her for the rehearsal dinner/welcome party as well, and the whole weekend was perfect! She makes sure you will not be worrying about anything on your wedding day. We loved all our vendors so much, and that was due to Sara's expertise and recommendations. She really listened to our vision and gave honest advice and unique ideas. I wanted a beautiful wedding that was a unique reflection of me and my husband, and that's what we got with Sara. I can't recommend her and the Wedding Connections team enough!

A Perfect Day

Holly was an absolute treat to work with! My wife and I got married this past September in Asheville and it couldn't have been a more perfect day. Being a destination wedding, we knew we needed someone we could trust to get everything done from states away. Asheville destination wedding made easy!

Planning a destination wedding is tough enough but with Sara and Wedconnections you won’t have any stress. They are a professional, well-connected team that can make your wedding dreams come true. The planning process was organized, having monthly to weekly check-ins made us feel very comfortable. The day of logistics were amazing, Sara kept the people moving. Everything went according to plan and I was overwhelmed with how professional her team was. She really does take the time to get to know you both while being your advocate they entire time. Loved it all, I would highly recommend Sara and her team to anyone planning a wedding in Asheville.

Absolute pleasure!

We had a destination wedding where my parents (who were a part of the planning) were in Chicago, we were in New York, and Sara in NC. She is unbelievably responsive and flexible, as in response to emails within an hour no matter what. I always felt comfortable and cared for and the wedding would have not been the same or as good as it was without her! She always calmed any anxiety and took care of us like we were her family. She is extremely organized and always willing to make your vision work! We love you Sara!

Do yourself a favor, and get the best there is in Asheville.

We knew when we interviewed Sara for our daughters Asheville (out of town for us) wedding, that she was our wedding planner, and so glad we did! She was a fountain of knowledge and was easy to work with, and very organized and attentive to our questions, and there were a LOT of questions. Super great ideas and ways to trim costs, and has great connections. We gave our daughter a "not to exceed" budget and I'll be darned if they did not come under budget. We could not have had my daughters wedding without Sara steering the ship, and that's no joke. The day was perfect. Sara even made my wedding speech when I introduced her as "the world's best wedding planner". Enough of the accolades. Do yourself a favor and hire the best, trust me on this one. Worth every penny.

Peace of mind for an out of town wedding

Sara and her team were so easy to work with and gave me and my mom a stress-free wedding experience. I am an event planner day to day and was so nice to be a client for once! Being from out of town I was worried I wouldn't trust anyone and have to make multiple trips to Asheville, but Sara and her team made my wedding the wedding of my dreams with just two real visits to Asheville to plan. I went with all of their recommendations from floral to gifts to photographer. I cannot express how wonderful this group is and how good they are at what they do. My mom and I instantly knew from the day we met Sara that we would be taken care of. I will recommend ALL brides to work with Wedding Connections for the rest of my life!

Sara and Wedding Connections are THE BEST!

After getting engaged and deciding we wanted to get married in the mountains of WNC, we flew up to NC, found our wedding venue and shortly after met with Sara. I left our meeting saying, "We need to have Sara for our wedding!" It felt like she just understood us instantly and on top of that she was SO GENUINE! Hiring Sara was the best decision we could have ever made! We were planning a wedding from Florida while also building a home at the same time, so I was in way over my head! She guided me through the whole wedding process and ensured I didn't forget a single detail. She was always accessible and a TOTAL pleasure to work with. One of the things that I greatly appreciated was how honest Sara was with me. She would also tell me if there was a less expensive option for something that I wanted. I talked to Sara several times each day leading up to the day of the wedding and she was my rock. On the day of, we had all the confidence in the world that everything was going to run smoothly and it did (or, if it wasn’t, we never had a clue??) - our wedding was a dream and so perfect. I am grateful for the Wedding Connections team. Our day would not have happened without them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Wedding Savior

I cannot begin to describe how amazing Sara is. Choosing Wedding Connections was the best decision I could have made. The entire process was seamless with her. Sara was on top of everything and any question I had she had an answer. I was the lucky bride who picked the Saturday that Hurricane Florence threatened and Sara was amazing. Sara worked with the all the vendors and venue to make sure the hurricane was not going to ruin anything and everything ended up being perfect. She also had to deal with a difficult wedding guest and she handled it so flawlessly that no one even knew what happened. I had the most amazing, stress free day and it’s all thanks to Sara and Candice. They were on top of everything and made sure it was perfect and exactly to my liking. I cannot thank Sara enough for all she did for me in the planning process and the day of. If you are on the fence about a wedding planning, my advice is to get one, and the one you should go with is Wedding Connections! You will be making the best decision and your wedding will turn out amazing.

Holly is amazing!!

Sorry if this is a double post - We worked with Holly and to say she was the best vendor we hired is a huge understatement! We started talking a few months out even though we only had a month-of package, and she was super helpful with recommendations the entire process!! I work in event planning myself so knew I could potentially be a demanding, type A bride, but Holly had every little detail covered and truly put me at ease!! There were a few hiccups during the day/night and she made sure everything went on without a hitch, and overall was such a huge part of making our big day as perfect as it was!!! Would highly recommend Holly and the Wedding Connections team to anyone!!

Signing on a 6 month contract with Sara was the best money I spent on all of the wedding! I was planning a wedding from afar and in way over my head, and she provided us guidance, assurance, and made sure we didn't forget a single detail. The week leading up to the wedding and day of was a breeze - only room for excitement and enjoyment! I've started to write this review a few times, but can't seem to find the words to describe how absolutely amazing Sara Fields is. I had a 2 year engagement, and we spent a solid 18 months planning a large, intricate wedding. Sara was there through every step of the way, making the experience one I will never forget.
I know Sara is in high demand with a lot of clients, but she makes you feel as if you are her one and only bride. The service she provides is UNREAL! She is unbelievably responsive, detailed, and organized. Sara truly cares about your wedding, and shows you that every single day in the time and effort she dedicates to your wedding. I'm pretty sure there is no better wedding planner on the entire planet.
Sara is so much more than a wedding planner though. She is also the sweetest, loveliest woman ever. I looked forward to our conference calls just because it gave me the chance to talk to her. I can't wait to go back to North Carolina to see her again!

We had a wonderful experience with Holly and everyone we interacted with at Wedding Connections from start to finish. I first spoke to the owner, Sara, for the initial consultation and one of the things that really sold me was that she explained what they offer first and then asked me questions about my wedding and what we would be looking for, so I knew that when she was talking and ticking my boxes it wasn't because she was just telling me what I had just told her I wanted to hear, they truly were a right fit for me (even mentioning things I wouldn't think of like knowing our drink orders so they can get it for us when we are too busy with our guests!). I have been an event planner so I'm a bit familiar with the process but had never planned a wedding so I was thankful for the resources they could provide as guidance and wanted to be sure that we (or our family members) wouldn't be working our entire wedding. I could tell by speaking with them that Holly was going to make sure the day-of we would only need to focus on eachother and our guests. In my opinion this is well worth the money.. the value of getting to enjoy your day that you put so much effort into is priceless.

Holly was our day-of coordinater but we were able to communicate a lot beforehand. She checked in on me to make sure I was on track with my planning and made me feel very confident heading into the weekend. Candice was there to help her the day of and they were both extremely professional and positive and did a fabulous job setting up the venue. Holly also kept us both calm and collected when some last minute issues with our DJ came up and was able to help us make decisions so that guests never even knew anything went wrong. My mom also made a comment on how impressed she was with them. I am so glad we found wedding connections and would highly reccommend this talented team to any bride. They know their stuff and to top that, they are people you will want to remain friends with after :)

I hired Wedding Connections for day-of services, but it was so much more than one day. Starting a month before the wedding, Sara and I had weekly phone calls to go over the event schedule and all the details. From the beginning, I had complete confidence in Sara and it allowed me to relax and let her take over as the main contact for my vendors. As someone with wedding and event experience myself (and used to playing that role for others), that says a lot. Her process and checklists helped ensure we were on the same page, details were carefully thought out, and each little piece was in place. She was always accessible and a pleasure to work with. And I cannot imagine my wedding weekend without Sara and her assistant Holly. I am so grateful for their calming and capable presence and knowing they had it all taken care of, including me. I was not sold on having wedding coordinators because I thought I was capable of handling it all on my own. I thought I had done the hard part by hiring all the vendors. Little did I know how wrong I was. Thankfully, I listened to the advice of my reception vendor and hired Wedding Connections. Sara Fields Bridges is amazing and working with Wedding Connections for our July 29th wedding was a dream. As a long distance couple planning a multicultural interfaith wedding weekend in a destination location we were probably not Sara's easiest clients but she would never have let us know it! Whether providing an objective opinion on invitation fonts, replying to one of my novels of an email, or accommodating a last minute seating change, Sara was cool, calm, and consistently positive. As a project manager and a bit of a control freak, the degree to which I trusted Sara speaks volumes of her talent and abilities. Our wedding could not have gone more smoothly and I will forever be grateful to her!

Our experience with Wedding Connections (WC) was nothing short of astounding. They orchestrated a wedding weekend that was logistically perfect and created wonderful memories for both family and guests. The entire year plus planning process was so well organized that it was essentially painless. WC never forgot that it was our special occasion and attempted to make all our desires become reality. They provided advice and the perspective of experience without ever trying to influence outcomes. As a stakeholder we always felt we were part of the process and in the loop via constant communications. Because of their excellent people skills our family looks upon them as more friends than just a wedding planners. WC delivered real value and in retrospect I view their fee as an investment in generating an enjoyable and perfect wedding.

We worked with Sara Fields for full service planning and it was the best decision we made in planning our wedding!! I feel like we got to have all the BEST and FUN parts of wedding planning without any of the hassle because she made everything so easy and enjoyable!

Sara helped us plan and execute every single detail of our out-of-state wedding, gave us countless hours of advice and know-how, and handled all of the logistics between vendors as well as day-of coordination. We booked all of our other fantastic vendors based on her preferred vendor lists without having to spend a ton of time researching, reading reviews, reaching out for pricing, etc.

Additionally, Sara has a delightful personality and is a consummate professional. Her attention to detail, experience, and wonderful relationship with fellow vendors and her community impressed us throughout our time working with her and we feel like we hit the jackpot working with her and her team. On the day of, we had all the confidence in the world that everything was going to run smoothly and it did – everything was perfect (or, if it wasn’t, we never had a clue ??).

I’m honestly sad I’m finished writing this review – seriously, Wedding Connections is THAT GOOD!

There are not enough nice things to say about Sara and Wedding Connections! We planned our wedding from out of state and my mom insisted on hiring a wedding planner even though I wasn't sure we'd need one for our tiny 16 person event. I was so wrong. Sara and her team are worth every single penny; I have no idea what we would have done without them! Sara is so lovely, she made it feel like I was planning with a friend. She is absolutely the most professional, most organized, and most competent individual I have ever worked with and her recommendations, whether they were for vendors, design ideas, or rehearsal dinner restaurants, were all perfect. She does a phenomenal job of advocating for you with vendors and is highly responsive in her communications. I wish that we had hired her for the entire 8 months of wedding planning because I felt confident and relaxed (things I had not felt in months!) as soon as she officially took the lead. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and it was thanks entirely to Sara and Wedding Connections! I could rave about Sara and her team forever, they are fantastic!

Sara Fields is the most professional, hardworking, talented wedding planner, I've had the honor to work with. For 8 months leading up to my husband's and my wedding day, she was the most communicative and supportive leader, teammate, and friend. She immediately responded to all of my emails and questions. I cannot say enough about Sara Fields and her team at Wedding Connections. Sara is such a genuine person and has the most pleasant personality. I always looked forward to our meetings because I knew she was genuinely interested and invested in what I wanted my wedding day to look like. The best thing I got out of my wedding was my husband, but the second best thing I got was the opportunity to meet and work with Sara Fields and her team at Wedding Connections. I was lucky enough to get to work with Sara for all 13 months of my engagement, and I could not have been happier with the services she provided. Since we were planning a wedding in North Carolina from Tennessee, she saved me countless hours of Googling by putting me in contact with fantastic vendors that were within our budget. She kept us to a timeline without overwhelming anyone, and was able to juggle the needs of my husband, my mother, my mother-in-law, and me with ease and grace, even when faced with some potentially tricky conversations. My wedding day went off without a hitch, and I was able to spend the day focused on what was important- my marriage and the people there to celebrate with us- rather than on managing details, because I was confident that Sara had everything under control. She is genuinely one of the kindest, most fun people I have had the joy to work with, and I can not recommend her highly enough. I hope I never have to plan another wedding (one and done for me!), but I would hire Sara and Wedding Connections again in a heart beat. Definitely the right choice.

Came across Wedding Connections way before I even knew my wedding venue or date and had emailed Sara (the owner) about their packages. When I finally decided months later on my wedding date and my venue in Lake Lure, I went back to Sara. She was so kind and really gave me confidence that I needed in a wedding planner. I ended up going with month of - day of coordinator as I had done a lot on my own since I was living out in Puerto Rico. I started early and paid for extra hours for specific things that I couldn't just do due to my location. I was honored to work alongside Holly. She was an absolute dream! She is a DYI queen and let me text, email her even at 1 am to tell her an idea, what I needed help with or just to freak out - she was there for me! On my wedding day, Holly turned my visions into a reality and I am just so amazed at how everything turned out. She exceeded beyond what I imagined and I was super relaxed that day because I knew I could trust her. She is the sweetest person and I am so HAPPY with her work, dedication and commitment she had with me. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner and company to work with for my special day!

Sara was fantastic! She was so on top of things, once I turned planning over to her, the rest of the process went so smoothly! She made all the calls and coordination of things that I didn't have time to do, and was so calming, confident and excited right along with us. She took on extra tasks to help free us up to deal with other things and delegated to make sure she could stay focused on the larger picture of organizing our day. At our rehearsal she kept a big crew on task so we could accomplish our practice runs efficiently, and explained to our whole wedding party what was happening as we went. This was so crucial since we were doing a pick-your-own-adventure ceremony where we combined elements of a traditional Christian wedding with other aspects that we'd chosen of my husband's Asian Indian culture, including a baraat (groom's procession on horseback!). She checked in with us regularly to make sure things were going the way WE wanted them to and it couldn't have turned out better. I would absolutely recommend her to any couple who wants a low-stress, beautiful, fun wedding!

No words can express my deepest gratitude, appreciation and respect for Sara and the Wedding Connections team. We found out about the team when we thought we'd get married in Asheville, NC, but we ended up switching locations to Atlanta, our hometown. Sara took on the challenge in a brand new city, and she did so beautifully! We worked with her on the Day-of Wedding Coordination + 25 hours of Communication. Throughout the entire planning process, Sara was transparent with us on budget/costs, responsive to our requests and needs, and made us feel taken care of, listened to, and supported. The month leading up to the wedding, Sara took care of every detail. The Wedding Connections team has literally thought through everything. We couldn't have done it without her. I shared this on another site as well because I think this story speaks volumes. During our reception, one of the servers from our catering company suffered from a seizure. Sara worked with the on-site staff and identified a nurse who was attending the event. The Wedding Connections team called 911 and made sure the server was attended to in the meantime. Sara even requested that the ambulance turn off its siren when coming up to the reception site to avoid any alarm or panic. She had her team standing in front of the closed door to divert any attention away from the emergency event. All of this was done without the bride, groom, bride's family, groom's family OR guests knowing that this was happening behind the scenes!! We still felt taken care of during the reception and thought everything went off without a hitch. In fact, we didn't even find out about all of this until the nurse who attended the event told us the next day! I think it speaks so highly to how Sara works swiftly, calmly, and thinks everything through carefully. I am grateful for the Wedding Connections team. Our day would not have happened without them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sara and Nathan are too of the most phenomenal human beings we could ever have hoped to work with in planning our wedding this year. After moving to the opposite end of the country shortly after getting engaged, we would have been so overwhelmed if not for Sara's impeccable professionalism, organization, and positive attitude. Every time we spoke to Sara throughout the process, we knew exactly what priorities we should focus on and we knew that she would keep track of everything so our minds could be at ease.

From the first meeting in planning our budget to the night of the wedding, Sara and Nathan blew us away. I can't imagine having worked with another planner to make our wedding day exactly what we hoped for. But beyond that, Sara and Nathan are two people we hope to stay in touch with for a long time. My husband and I hired Sara Fields to be our wedding planner; we didn't expect her to take on the role of counselor and friend. This woman is absolutely the definition of competent. She is thorough, responsive, punctual, communicative, and precise. And in a role most of us would find stressful, she brings an air of calm kindness, light heartedness, and flexibility to the process that left us feeling happy and stress free after each meeting, and most importantly, on our wedding day. For every detail of our wedding, we felt total trust that Sara would bring our vision to life, and she did. She is charming and intelligent, and so was able to nimbly smooth over tricky personalities on both sides of our family while effortlessly managing and collaborating with all of our vendors. She was assertive and persistent when needed (hippie bus service that didn't respond to any calls or emails), and deferential when called for (prickly minister who felt territorial about the leader role). All-in-all, she made our wedding feel perfectly magical and allowed us the space to fully savor the day without getting pulled away to manage the logistics of the event. Hiring her is absolutely the smartest decision we made about our wedding aside from the best decision we made, which was to marry each other.

We couldn't have been happier with Sara and her team. We were planning an out of town wedding in Asheville, and my wife & I lived in Atlanta. We had 0 family & friends in Asheville.

We had met with 4 other planners. Once we met with Sara, we were sold right away. She had an instant genuine interaction with the both of us. She wanted to know the picture my wife had in her head. Other wedding planners were more interested in numbers of guests & venues & how we could copy what they had done at previous weddings as easy answers. Almost a cookie cutter approach, even coming off as they knew better & not to worry. Sara presented her impressive experience & knowledge in away where it didn't over power the vision of your wedding day you were working toward. She genuinely wanted to know what that vision was & wanted to work to make it happen. This gave us the confidence in her & her team that they were the people for the job.

My wife felt Sara was a great wedding planner to have because she so organized & kept us on track with tasks without overwhelming us. She would gently nudge us about things before they were due so that we were not as stressed leading up to the wedding. They have a great relationship with all the vendors. They helped us book the perfect vendors early on, keeping our vision in mind, as well as keeping track of contracts & payments. Sara was always a pleasure to talk to during our planning meetings. Being out of town, Sara made the process really comfortable, and distance wasn't an issue. The week of our wedding, Sara & Holly had every little detail covered, going the extra mile with little things like gift bags & such. The week was so much more enjoyable with their help.

We can say with 100% confidence that our 170 guests, my wife & I could not have had the amazing experience of our wedding weekend without the help of Sara & her team. They really were an essential part of our wedding event being one of the greatest days of our lives.

As soon as we got engaged we started planning our destination wedding in Asheville, NC and my husband and I also decided to involve a wedding planner. Once we found the Wedding Connections website and read the "about" section I knew that we had found the right wedding planner. I was so convinced that Sara was the right person to help us, that we actually planned OUR wedding day around HER schedule, and to this day, I do not regret the choice. I half-jokingly started called her "Sara Wedding Fairy", but through this year of wedding planning she became nothing short of that.When she describes her service as "full service", she means it. Sara and Holly really took the time to get to know us and understand the kind of vintage and classic wedding day we dreamed off.
From creating schedules for cake tastings,caterer meetings, music and even to creating budget spreadsheets and much more Sara and Holly were right there with us and led us through the weeks/months of planning. They so helpfully suggested the most amazing local vendors that ended up making our wedding week so special. Nothing is impossible with the amount of connections Sara and Holly have and thanks to the unbelievable amount of people they know, we got a gorgeous and memorable wedding filled with details and love.
Whatever idea I would come up with, or whenever during the week I had that idea, Sara was always ready to help out, with suggestions or full-on encouragement of whimsical ideas. Honestly, we had a blast planning our wedding and made an amazing friend while doing it. And once the day finally arrived, neither my now-husband, or I had anything to worry about. Holly, Sara and Leah managed every single team on site with grace, took care of every little detail and made our day easy, worry-free and so stunningly beautiful. We will never forget the role that Sara and her team played, to make the first day of the rest of our lives the most magical we could have imagined.

We had 13 months to plan the wedding and within the first 2 months we booked the reception band, ceremony musicians, the videographer and the photographer. Living in Florida, it became quite clear that I needed help finding quality vendors in Asheville for the flowers, linens, bakery, transportation etc. In viewing Sara's beautiful website I discovered that our photographer also had a relationship with Sara and that was it for me. Sara was the one who I knew could make it all happen. In my ignorance, I did not hire her as the wedding planner but over the course of the next 10+ months, I kicked myself for not having done so. Don't make that same mistake - hire her to plan your wedding or event! She and her team worked tirelessly with me - more hours than I deserved, and there was no question too dumb to answer and no problem that she could not solve. Her diplomacy is unfailing, her patience never ending and she is an absolute delight to work with. She has the patience of a saint, responded ever so quickly to any email or phone call I placed and her answers were always spot on. She is an exceptional listener and talked me off the ledge more times than I could count and without a hint of frustration. Sara's connections in Asheville and the surrounding region are with only the most talented and quality organizations, all of whom I consider to be masters of their game - just like Sara. She is an exceptional individual - so talented, trustworthy, responsible and genuinely committed to ensuring your wedding is THE most special day of your life. I really loved working with Sara and now that the wedding is over (and yes, it was spectacular thanks to Sara!) I am missing our communications. Sara is truly the best of the best!!!

Where do I begin? I am a wedding and catering coordinator in California and I decided to plan my wedding for the High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, North Carolina. Wow, what a huge undertaking. A few months into the process, I decided to look for help. After searching the bigger companies in the area, and feeling even more overwhelmed than before, I found Sara's website. I knew right away she was going to be the one :) Her reviews were stellar, and I wondered, how could she be completely blemish free? Is this for real? Well, it is. She is. Sara is the most self-less, kind, knowledgable and helpful individual I have ever worked with. It was nice that she had Holly available for questions when she was not in the office, but Sara did almost all the leg work herself. She is patient and remembers everything you ever say. When you have a phone convo, you can hear her diligently typing everything down. She doesn't miss a beat.

When it came down to the wedding weekend, Sara was there every step of the way. With a 1.5 hour commute to our location, I was worried that she and/or other vendors would be late. Sara saw to it that everyone knew where they were going and everyone was early or on time, all weekend long. We had Sara oversee the Rehearsal Dinner and the Ceremony/Reception. This was great to have her do it all. It really made the weekend stress free for us!

There isn't anything Sara can't or wont do for you. If you are trying to decide if you have money in your budget for Sara or another coordinator from Wedding Connections, just make it work. It will be worth every penny. We love you Sara XOXO

Sara and her staff were wonderful to work with. We had 5 months to plan a out of town wedding. Needless to say I was feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start. This is when I met Sara. She made the entire process run smoothly and efficiently. She made vendor recommendations based on my wedding style/personality. The Wedding Connections team was absolutely fantastic to work with. They were always providing us with several options for each vendor type and were at our sides the entire time. Sara helped us plan our wedding last month, and I won't bury the lead: she was FANTASTIC! Throughout the planning process, her tone with us was perfect. She was an enthusiastic but calming presence, an attentive but not pushy advisor, a supportive but not overbearing partner in the wedding-planning process--it was clear she could've accommodated anyone from the most meticulous bride needing regular advice and support for a black-tie wedding, to the most laid-back DIYer just looking for expert day-of guidance, and everything in-between. She offered a huge number of brilliant suggestions and ideas I hadn't seen on any wedding websites, while at the same time staying completely true to our vision for how we wanted the wedding to be. She made so much happen behind the scenes too: she coordinated with vendors and confirmed all our arrangements (which was no easy task and required some serious persuasion skills - a huge relief to us in the weeks leading up to the wedding) and although she didn't tell us this herself, we learned through the grapevine that she even rode a bike several miles for a meeting about our venue, when circumstances required it - now that is dedication and flexibility! The day of the wedding, she made everything flow seamlessly - from picking up all our flowers at the Farmers' Market (early Saturday morning!) at the last minute, to all the details at the ceremony (decorations, musicians, minister, entrances, exits, etc.), to the reception (food, toasts, dances, cake-cutting, etc.), everything came together just beautifully, and without our having to worry about a thing - and it was all thanks to Sara's unique mix of creativity, thoughtfulness, diligence, and charm. I can't recommend Wedding Connections highly enough!

After a brief consultation, she knew exactly the kind of wedding we were hoping for. She set out a simple timeline for us to follow and immediately got to work with the vendors we had hired. My wife already wrote a glowing review of Sara and Wedding Connections, but I wanted to contribute the groom's perspective to her otherwise spot-on comments.

The criteria Wedding Wire uses to rate planners are surely important, but what mattered most to me as we were interviewing wedding planners was that we found someone my bride would like and trust--and who would relieve her stress instead of contributing to it. On this measure, Sara and her team also deserve five stars; I simply cannot imagine us making it through the wedding in one piece without them.

In the interest of full disclosure, Sara is an acquaintance from high school and college, though having learned from experience not to mix business and friends, I wasn't necessarily sure this would be a good thing. I needn't have worried: Sara struck the perfect balance between professionalism and familiarity, giving us the same thorough and objective guidance as any client while also displaying a personal touch when it was desired.

Having grown up where we got married (and, let's be honest, being the type of people who like to have creative control), we didn't need or want someone to pick our vendors for us, and here too Sara provided the ideal combination of leaving us in the driver's seat while offering vendor advice and feedback when we needed it. The package of services we went with -- we were in charge until three months out, at which point Sara took over all of our contracts, helped us fill in the gaps (and there were plenty), and executed our shared vision for the wedding day -- was both a good fit for our personalities and an exceptionally good value.

Overall, I would highly recommend Sara and her team to any couple looking for a wedding planner who will genuinely try to get to know you, understand your needs and personalities, and make your wedding as beautiful and stress-free as you've always hoped.

Working with Sara and her team at Wedding Connections may have been the best decision we made about our wedding. She was an absolute joy to work with and helped us plan and execute an amazing wedding day. Sara and my husband went to high school and college together, and it was serendipitous that we learned about her business just as we were beginning to plan our wedding. We knew when we walked away from our first meeting with her that she would be perfect fit for our needs. Sara planned our daughter’s wedding this summer. Without her extensive knowledge and support, I honestly don’t know what we would have done. When my daughter started planning her wedding to take place in Asheville, a friend (recently the mother of the bride) mentioned that she really wished they had a wedding planner involved for the weekend of the wedding. My daughter had already engaged the vendors and created the vision of how she and her fiancé wanted the wedding to look and feel, however we knew that managing guests and vendors would feel overwhelming at the wedding. Although we grew up in Asheville and many relatives live there, we currently live about two hours away at Lake Norman. Sara stepped in about two months before the wedding, and paid close attention to what my daughter wanted and needed, adding very helpful suggestions to enhance the planning. Calling her a wedding planner does not seem to capture how we feel about her---Sara’s competent, professional style and delightful personality made her a joy to work with start to finish. To prepare for an outdoor wedding at an estate, Sara coordinated numerous people with a gracious, confident attitude, and all the family members and wedding party were able to relax and “be in the moment” knowing that Sara had everything under control. She dramatically enhanced our experience, and I strongly recommend engaging her services.

Sara was one of our day of coordinators for our wedding on 9-7-13. She is very friendly, great to work with, and made sure we were happy that day! We met with her once before the wedding to run through the day and what we needed - it was a productive meeting (which is important when you're so busy planning a wedding!). She asked the right questions and even had some good ideas that I didn't think of. The day of she was around making sure everything was as planned, getting done what we had requested/discussed during the meeting, asking if we or anyone else needed anything, and if so she got it done! She also made sure we had a chance to eat dinner (and cake!) which I really appreciate since we were so busy saying hello to our 300 guests! I highly recommend Sara!

Planning a wedding from 600 miles away is never ideal, but working with Sara Fields of Wedding Connections made it an absolute pleasure. I grew up in Asheville, and though now we live far away, we knew the location would be great for our wedding. Throughout the planning process, Sara listened to our ideas and made great suggestions. She steered us to just the right vendors, from the cake bakery to the photo booth to the DJ and the hair stylist!

Her knowledge and professional demeanor made it possible for us to enjoy our wedding in ways that we couldn't have without her help. Sara was our onsite wedding coordinator for our March wedding at the Crest Center in Asheville, North Carolina. She was an excellent person to work with - so organized and helpful! She met with me the day before the wedding to go over the schedule, and she made sure everything ran smoothly for the whole reception. During the reception, Sara made sure that my husband and I ate dinner- she brought us all our food and drinks. She made sure that everything at the reception (cake cutting, bouquet toss, first dance, etc.) happened on schedule. The reception went so smoothly due to her awesome organization and coordination. As a groom, all you can wish for your wedding day is that your bride is happy and worry-free. Having Sara as our wedding day coordinator helped accomplish this and then some. From the rehearsal on Friday right through the cake cutting the next day, Sara was always one, two or three steps ahead of us, ensuring that there was never anything to worry about. And the effects were visible. Not only was everything in place when and where it needed to be, but Taylor (my wife) had an ear to ear smile the whole day and while I'm hopeful that's 99% because she was marrying me, I know that it was also because she was stress free, able to enjoy the day with friends and family because Sara had taken care of everything else. She was great start to finish an I'd definitely recommend her if you're in the midst of wedding planning.

My husband and I loved Sarah! She took everything we envisioned and executed it fully. She was so polite, professional and fun to be around! My husband's friends still talk about the beautiful red head (Sarah) from our wedding. :) She did anything and everything we asked and our day could not have been more special. Thank you Sarah!

I can't imagine how I would have gotten through planning my wedding without Sara. I'm positive I would have either had a full on nervous breakdown or needed to downsize our wedding plans. She was patient, excited, detail-oriented, thorough, and reassuring throughout the entire process. On the actual day of my wedding, a few things didn't go as planned but I never even knew it because Sara handled it all, and no one was the wiser. If she hadn't been there, I'm positive there would have been multiple problems that likely would have spiraled into big, unavoidable messes. My wedding was just how my husband and I pictured, and we were able to fully enjoy it and not worry about a thing because Sara managed everything with aplomb, grace, and true professionalism. If you're having a wedding, you can't afford not to hire Sara- she'll ultimately be more important than almost any other choice you make, from food to flowers to venue, and to top it off, she'll help you make all those choices and enjoy the entire process. She set up meetings with great vendors that were my style, and helped make each choice a fun and exciting one. Sara has a thorough and complete knowledge of the options for wedding planning in Asheville, and can help any bride with any style wedding create her perfect day.

As a stressed out bride, Sara was a true blessing in both my life and the wedding planning process. Deep into the chaos of planning a wedding I sought out help. She was open to my ideas and able to tidy up every little detail with vendors prior to the event. She was able to bring two completely opposite families together as one, and I am deeply humbled by her hard work. This is a third party comment, as we are the parents of the bride and she let us in on some of the planning with Sara. Of course, we also observed and participated in the wedding events. We can only echo what the other guests have said: "Everything was perfect!" Weddings of this nature are a team effort and Sara was the coach. She made room in the plan for everyone's wishes and then ensured perfect execution - always getting things done with quiet efficiency. She knows the location and the people there very well and she re-confirmed all the details with the players again a few days before the big day. Besides the expected services, I appreciated her thinking ahead, for example, knowing when to pin on my boutonniere! or, using her car to hold a spot all day for mine on a crowded street at the door to the reception venue (which made the departure and clean-up stress free). Final words: reliable, flawless, and easy to work with - What better help could you ask for for your daughter's wedding? Thanks again, Sara.

Terrific wedding planner!

Nicole Luka was my "day of" planner for my daughter's wedding, but she was really far more than this, offering essential advice and perspective all along the way. We only had two months between my daughter's engagement and the wedding itself, and I could not have figured it all out without Nicole! She was helpful in every way, very responsive, and on top of details with a cheerful can-do attitude. We also appreciated her assistant, Amanda, who was equally personable and helped to make everything run smoothly on the big day.
