Great wedding 🥰

We really enjoyed having these lovely women take care of us. They explained the ceremony procedures even though I forgot 😐 Pastor Pam still directed us.

The vendor was very professional and accommodating. The venue could use some updating and cleaning.

On the day of our wedding, I checked my confirmation and realized the date was for the following month. In a panic, I called. They were most accommodating and reassured us that we could still get married on the day we had thought instead of the date for the following month. The weather was beautiful, so we got married outside. The service was perfect.

wedding chapel by the sea is the perfect place for any type of wedding. They take away all of the guess work and thinking . Its a no worry place they take care of everything. very friendly and make you feel at ease we had a wonderful experience . cant thank them enough

Awesome Experience

They were very professional, courteous and kind. I loved the chapel and the waterfall. Everyone was so helpful on our special day to make everything perfect! They also helped us get everything together in only two weeks!

Beautiful wedding

Beautiful wedding and friendly staff.

We decided to elope and called Wedding Chapel By the Sea. They had availability for that Saturday and made arrangements over the phone. The rain had cleared that afternoon, sun came out and we were able to have our ceremony in the gazebo as planned. Beautiful day, lovely gazebo and very friendly staff! Would highly recommend!!

We are so grateful to the wedding chapel by the sea. We couldn't have had a special occasion that we were given there anywhere else they made us feel like family. They were very helpful in the steps that we followed in our wedding. For the coast and the venue we would recommend this wonderful place to anyone who would like to have the closeness of there love presented by people who won't your love shine on your day.

We were very pleased with the overall performance of the entire staff. The wedding was handled very efficiently and professionally. It went very smoothjy. Pastor Pam was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Darlene was also extremely helpful and gregarious. We were the last wedding of the day. But they treated us like we were the first and as if we were important to them. The only thing that we felt could have been a bit better was the photography. For an example, the photo of us exchanging rings has both of our heads cut totally out.

Words that describe our day? Easy, breezy, beautiful! Exactly what I wanted!! And, when there was an issue with our pictures (due to massive Hurricane Matthew!), they gave us the CD for no charge without batting an eye! I can't wait to return on one of our wedding anniversary's and stop in and say "hi"!!!

Hello, I just wanted to say this was the best experience and everything went well, the staff was informative and professional all the way throughout the process, from getting the initial package set, getting the out of state marriage licence and the ceremony was done fast and easy, no hiccups or suprises. We wanted a very private wedding that included our children...this was PERFECT!!!! They were so helpful...even in reminding us that the marriage license application can be mailed in ahead of time from our state. We wanted the ceremony to be centered around GOD and the minister was GREAT!

Will recommend to anyone looking for a small reasonable priced wedding!

Speaking of reasonable...where else can you get married for this small amount of money and it not have to be in a JP' office? The value of this service is specatacular!

I had a perfect wedding. Everybody was nice. Told us what to do. It will be a day I will never forget. Got married at the gazebo and it was nice outside. We arrived 30 minutes before the wedding and at 3:00 I was getting married. Best place to get married!!!

We had a amazing wedding for a very affordable price and the staff was nice as was the place. We were later than we were supposed to be and they didn't seem to have affected the service. I had a lovely time and everyone said our wedding was great. I rated a lower flexability because they had packages to choose from but basically you had to choose from what they had. My husband wanted different music.

They were very helpful, we booked our wedding for the garden and sadly we had thurderstorms all day the day of our wedding and they helped us move everything inside! They were always a phone call away for any questions I had. The wedding photos turned out great and they have so much to offer! They made us feel welcome and loved while we were there. Its a beautiful chapel with three different options as to which part you want to get married in. I highly recommend them!!

Very friendly and very affordable! Victoria, the photographer does a fabulous job and manages to make a small wedding setting look very grande! Beautiful setting and GREAT deal for the package on the cloud 9. Perfect place for our out of town small wedding. There reception affiliation was great and they were very helpful coordinating for us! Would recommend to anybody!!

We had a wonderful time. They were very helpful with all of the planning. The only thing I wished is that they had better sitting for older people that attended our wedding. The food was wonderful and the cake was beautiful. I also wished that we had more time at the reception and not feel that we were so rushed.

Great experience, everyone was super nice. If i had to critique one thing it wold be, we were instructed over and over again to silence our cell phones by 2 different employees, felt like we were students in school. Everything else was great.

Mixed review

I'm giving a mixed review simply because there were good and not so good things that happened at our wedding. I will start with the good, the staff allowed me to add my own personal touches/decor to the tables provided in the reception hall and outside. I also got to add a few decor pieces to the end of the isles in the chapel as you walk in. The cake was phenomenal! And Im pretty picky about cake, this cake was so good! And the pastor was GREAT! and so funny! Ok the bad, grab your popcorn, the place as a whole needs some updating, I was somewhat embarrassed for my guests to see it. The fact that I was waiting in the parking lot for the previous bride to finish was ridiculous. I was told the be there at 2:30 and I was there waiting for the previous bride to "finish taking photos", no, I should have been in there getting my decor on the tables and starting to get ready. Once I was in (closer to 2:45) I had to rush everything. I paid for 2:30 to 5:00pm (Happily Ever After package), its really not fair to people who paid extra for their time and they do not get it. Last but not least, my photos turned out "just ok", Im a photographer myself and half of my professional photos were all BLURRY. This day can't be re-done, so if you are planning to have your wedding here, don't expect top the line photography. Oh and its an unplugged ceremony, so our kiss photo was also blurry. What a shame. I had everyone take their phones out after the wedding and I got better phone photos than the photographer provided (oops)- oh wait lets not forget they kept my guests sitting in the chapel for over 10 minutes after we had got married because their excuse was they didn't want anyone to take photos as the photographer was taking photos, welp that's too bad as I said before, my guests took plenty of photos after and they were so much better than my professional photos. Other than that the day was beautiful, we are finally married! Just wanted to shed some light for anyone looking to have their wedding here. Its a nice place to have it if you want a small wedding and not have to go to the court house.

I would not recommend this place if you want a nice wedding. I got married on a friday at 3 and i was reading reviews the night before scared of how it might turn out. we got their a little late but they were nice and still showed us to our dressing room. The minister was friendly and the photographer was also very nice. BUT when my husband was in his dressing room they gave him and envelope to tip the guy after we had already paid them 250 dollars. They will not allow you to take your own pictures and a month and a half later i got a call from them from a very rude lady saying she could not send me my pictures because she had a invalid address and when i tried to give her my correct address she was very nasty about it. Then i recieved my pictures two days later and lets just say there not worth crap its wallet size pics on a booklet paper. you can't even see half the people in them. I can't make copies of them due to size and the fact they are on paper. (Crammed together) when you go online to look at them the prices to get actual size are outrageous and you can't get multiple with out paying a good amount. overall im very upset that i paid these people this much. I know 250 isn't alot but when your only having a small ceremony what we got was def not worth it.

For a small intimate wedding, this was a great choice. I didn't like that you couldn't choose your own music even if you provided it for them. The selection that they had did not reflect my taste or style at all and made the wedding pretty generic.
The coordinator and the pastor did a great job, no complaints there and it was the stress free experience I was looking for. Now here is where it went wrong, what I was most disappointed in was the PHOTOGRAHY... First we were rushed through the process of the pics being taken. We had to wait over 6 weeks to even see them on line. When we did get them what a huge disappointment, the pics do not look professional quality AT ALL,coloring is not good and very minimum editing.
We were not given a opportunity to pick from the photos that were taken, they picked the 24, so that was that we had no choice in the selection of photos we wanted. When we received the actual little photo album they send it is paper crap. The photos are so small and throw together with no spacing concept or continuity just basically a piece of paper junk. Your photos are one of the most important parts of your wedding and for them not to provide you with actual photos on professional photo paper is a joke. We had a friend who took a picture on their phone after the wedding that looks 100 times better then the so called professional pics that were taken.....really!!!

Is this a hidden camera game show?

Expensive, rushed, demeaning experience. Talked to like small children prior to the ceremony. Worst pictures/picture package ever for almost $300. I understand why they have a no photos policy. Let a toddler lose with a disposable camera and you would get better pictures. The photo package by the sea was laughable. You receive a 4x6" booklet with blurry wallet sized images of the whole event. Stay far far away! I am glad it was a vow renewal because if it was a first experience I would have lost my mind. Very disappointed

If I could give 0 stars, I would! Let’s just start by saying the manager there is rude and very much unreasonable. I was so embarrassed when my guests received the cake that was provided as it was hard on the outside but the main reason, amongst many, for my bad review is the awful photos that I received for keepsake memories. They don’t allow you to take your own photos or choose any of the photos that they take as per their policy, they pick the “best” photos for you. Well, the photos they chose were AWFUL and when I called to complain the manager was not helpful at all. One photo in particular, they photo shopped our faces to look like monkeys. I assume because we’re black and I expressed my dissatisfaction with that photo in particular. Don’t choose this place, especially if you’re people of color!

None of the "professional photographs"

We paid for package with 16 professional Photos and they messed up and only had 4 that turned out! Claim camera malfunction. They have strict no taking of pictures you must follow no phones allowed. Would not refund any of the money back ! Do NOT have your wedding here unless you are ok without any photo memories!!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Wedding occurred 30 minutes late due to Wedding Chapel By the Sea's ineptitude. Minister was late. No music was provided, even though it was part of the package. Bouquet was late due to The wedding chapel by the Sea's oversight. No boutteniere was provided even though it was part of the package. No aplology or partial refund for services that we paid for and were not provided.

This place is a joke. They were 20 minutes late. They fail to mention prior to booking the venue that your pictures take 3-4 weeks. They slipped my husband an envelope to tip the minister. Very unprofessional. And I dragged my dress threw a pile of shit out by the gazebo. Thank god I didn't invite any family. They rushed us the whole time. And it's on a busy highway. They can see you from the road. And the professional photographer is like 16 years old. Do not waste your money.

Wedding Chapel by the Sea has deliberately misled and misrepresented its products and services to customers. My husband and I purchased the “Intimate wedding package” which was $250.00 (also had to pay an additional $100, for a beach wedding)and were married on August 18, 2012, at 5pm on the Beach. This package included several things, one of which was a “Personalized wedding photo album (paper cover with staple binding) with 24 images”. All of this information can be verified on their website at www.weddingchapelbythesea.com I talked with “Sue” who later in conversation identified herself as the “manager”. I told her that I had called several says prior, and that I wanted to get more information regarding our photo album that is being made for us. I stated my concern when I talked with the new hire that she was under the impression that I would be getting a thumbnail wedding album (stated roughly a 2x3in picture on white copy paper) of 24 pictures. Sue, the manager stated “yes, that is correct, what you are getting is a thumbnail wedding album”. When I expressed my disappointment over the size of the pictures, Sue stated “It says on our website that the pictures come with a staple binding, and that we should have figured it out by that”. I informed her, that the binding has NOTHING to do with the size of the picture, that’s merely what the photos are held together with”. Sue further stated that “if I want to have pictures of my wedding, then I need to go on their website, and click on each of my pictures, and order each of the 30 pictures individually”. Ergo, if you click on each individual pictures, a 4x6 photograph starts at $4.00 a piece and the prices go up from there. I asked “so you mean to tell me that I have to pay an additional $120.00 plus shipping, and taxes to purchase pictures that are supposed to be ours in the first place?” and Sue’s response is “well, you get what you paid for”. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I put down a deposit to use this company this past summer. Their website looked very professional and the prices seemed amazing. Shortly after sending in the deposit, I started reading reviews. Horrible reviews. I emailed them questions, and they never responded. That was a red flag for me, and that was when I decided I would just give up my deposit money and find someone else to do my dream beach wedding in Myrtle Beach. I honestly had forgotten about the Chapel by the Sea until they called me the day before I was scheduled to get married with them (the day before! First time I had any communication from them when I had given them a deposit months and months beforehand). In the deposit contract it stated if they didn't have the rest of the money a few weeks before your date, they would cancel your date for it to open up for someone else. I surely didn't give them anymore money so was shocked when a rude woman called the day before wanting to know where the rest of the money was and if we had any questions for our wedding tomorrow. She was furious when we said we thought it had been cancelled for us for lack of payment of the balance. You get what you pay for with these people. I'm so glad I changed my mind and went with someone who cares what I really want. It meant me waiting an entire year more to get married, but it's so worth it!

these people were rude. got the details for our wedding the very last minute. they got angry because i, the bride, was running a few minutes late. my mother got lost on the way to the site, and MISSED MY WEDDING. and now, a week later, i still haven't seen our pictures. I advise anyone who wants their wedding day to be special, to not get married here. They are very unprofessional. Showed up about 35 minutes late to my scheduled wedding time and the staff had a "so what" attitude the whole time. The "preacher" was constantly dropping things on the microphone, and forgetting words. Everything was so cheap looking and the whole thing is basically a SCAM!!!!!! DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!!! you would do better off going to the courthouse!!!!!!
