The most amazing wedding officiant

We were so nervous about picking an officiant since we didn’t have any friend or family member for the job. Then we met Kristen and immediately felt at ease. She is extremely kind and thoughtful and created the perfect ceremony for us. We met together a few times before the wedding, and she got to know us individually and as a couple. She strikes the perfect balance between providing ideas and templates but tailoring to your wants and needs. She can make the ceremony more religious or secular depending on what you’re looking for.
Weddings can bring up so many happy but also sometimes sad emotions, and Kristen is there as a friend and confidant through all those ups and downs. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and how perfect it was for us. Kristen was a joy to work with and we are happy to have gotten to know her as well. We honestly feel like we walked away with a lifelong friend. So, if you want your ceremony to feel personal and comfortable, Kristen is your girl. Love you Kristen!

Amazing Officiant

If you are looking for a wedding officiant, look no further. Having Kristen as the officiant for our wedding was the best decision we could have made! We also did the extra couples counseling which allowed us even more time to spend with her. She is the sweetest and has a great sense of humor. So many of our guests complimented us on her after the wedding. She made the whole ceremony special and feel so personal. We couldn't imagine having anyone else officiate our wedding.

Kristen is amazing

We had the pleasure of seeing Kristen in action when she married my brother and sister in law at their wedding several years ago. When it came time for my fiance and I to tie the knot we knew Kristen was the only one we needed to talk to! She is a beautiful soul and a constant steady energy throughout the whole process that was much needed and appreciated when planning a 2020 wedding. We also had several guests comment on how great she was and how lovely our ceremony was! Would book her again in a heartbeat!

We were very nervous about choosing an officiant, but as soon as we met Kristen we knew she was going to be amazing. We choose to do the pre marital counseling and are so glad we did. Our perfect fit

Kristen is absolutely amazing. Initially we were just going to have her do our ceremony but we decided to add the pre marital counseling and I could not be happier with this decision. Kristen challenged us throughout the process and gave us “homework” that consisted of having multiple date nights to discuss in depth, meaningful conversations. After having our date nights we would meet with Kristen to review what we talked about. This was a great addition. We got to know each other quickly and she now feels like family. Our ceremony was beautiful and personal. We got so many compliments on how perfect our ceremony was. It was a pleasure working with Kristen and I would highly recommend her!

An absolute joy!!

Kristen is one of our favorite parts of our wedding day & the entire planning process!!! The best thing about working with her is that she truly cares, and it's clear as day that this isn't just a job to her - but something she's passionate about and really invested in. She truly wants to know and understand you and is a great listener. And I was over-the-moon thrilled with our ceremony! It felt like a perfect reflection of who we are and what we're all about. We got SO MANY compliments afterwards & people really enjoyed the ceremony and said it was unlike any wedding ceremony they've been to before! I really felt like it was the highlight of our wedding. I also LOVED the premarital counseling sessions we did with Kristen. It was so easy to talk to her and we learned so much by chatting with her, talking through things, and doing the homework assignments! I feel like we were able to get really clear on our plans for our future, and delve deeper into a lot of the "why's" and "how's" of our plans & our decisions. She is just great and I will remember our ceremony forever with fondness!!

We were planning our Charleston wedding from Atlanta, so the thought of picking an officiant from a list was a little scary, but the moment we spoke with Kristen on the phone, we knew she would be the perfect person to do our ceremony! We connected right away and decided to do premarital counseling sessions with her as well. This was by far the best decision we made! Kristen was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process and we looked forward to every session we had with her! She truly helped us prepare for not only one of the biggest days of our lives but for our marriage and future. She was always there to provide guidance and reassurance when we needed it and she also challenged us to dig a little deeper in our discussions! We enjoyed every moment! Most importantly, the ceremony was ABSOLUTELY perfect! We had so many people compliment us on our ceremony. The main reason is that she truly took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple and this came through in the ceremony from the readings to her help personalizing our vows, and her own words! She has a true passion for what she does and it shows through her work and it was an absolute pleasure working with her! I cannot say enough good things about Kristen! She is kind, loving, professional, funny and talented! A wedding officiant is probably one of the most important parts of a wedding, and I would hire Kristen again in a heartbeat. She provided a wealth of resources, unbiased direction and helped us craft our ceremony so that it was special to us and our family. It had our personality and flavor, and her execution was flawless. She gave the ceremony a reverent feel without being stuffy; her voice is smooth and peaceful. It sounds silly to note that, but any pronounced oddities in speech can be distracting! She helped us through the rehearsal, making sure everyone understood what was happening and preparing us for the next day. She is prompt when responding to emails and even took the time to meet us in person so that she could best understand us and bring it out in the ceremony. You can tell that she loves what she does and it shows. Her fee is so reasonable and worth every penny. If you want a stress-free and beautiful ceremony, hire her!!

Kristen is absolutely amazing! She was such a hit! Everyone at the wedding could not believe we had just met her at the wedding rehearsal! It was like we had known her for years. She was able to write such a detailed, emotional, individualized ceremony, and she had the whole group in tears. From the moment we first spoke with Kristen, my husband and I knew immediately that we wanted to book her as our wedding officiant. We can honestly say that throughout the entire wedding planning process, we felt nothing but confidence and trust in Kristen’s abilities to deliver the wedding ceremony we had always pictured. With all the stress associated with planning a wedding, especially a destination wedding, it was a relief to find a vendor that put us completely at ease.

She assisted us throughout the whole process, providing us with advice and helpful information, including step-by-step instructions on how to obtain a marriage license in Charleston County. We’re “type A” organized people, so we loved the fact that she developed a “script” for our ceremony so that we were all on the same page about what was said when, by whom, and following what music selection. With her flexible and warm personality, she worked seamlessly with our other vendors and family members to ensure our ceremony was truly about us.

Though we had met her just months before our wedding, we felt like we had known her for some time. When speaking with us in the months leading up to the wedding, she asked us insightful questions about our relationship with each other that allowed us to develop a stronger bond and provided Kristen with anecdotes that she integrated into our wedding ceremony. Many of our guests commented on how personal and touching the ceremony was and complimented Kristen’s humor and charismatic nature.

Simply said, Kristen is AMAZING and choosing her as your officiant will be one of the best decisions that you’ll make throughout your wedding planning process. While planning our Charleston wedding from New York, we were concerned about how difficult it might be to find quality vendors from so far away. Kristen gladly made herself available for video chats so that we could have a chance to get to know her before deciding. By the end of that first video chat, it was a no-brainer¬ – we immediately felt her warmth, kindness, flexibility, and professionalism. Those qualities were front and center all the way through to our wedding day.

A few months before our wedding, we traveled down to Charleston with our mothers for our tasting. Kristen happily met with us for coffee so that we could get a chance to meet her in-person before our wedding weekend. Leading up to the wedding, she sent us so many quality materials to help guide us in choosing readings that fit our personalities and to help us in writing our own vows. She was extremely communicative, helpful, and responsive.

And then there’s the wedding ceremony: Kristen designed a GORGEOUS ceremony and provided us ample time for edits. We honestly barely changed a thing -- it was so, so beautiful! We could tell that she had really listened to us, folding in our own words and personalities into the ceremony. Our family and friends were incredibly touched by the ceremony; many of them said that it was the most beautiful ceremony that they have ever attended. We are beyond grateful to her and so happy to now count her as a friend!

Reverend Barner is amazing! She was so attentive to every detail that I wanted in our vows. Kristen was so incredible at our wedding (we had so many compliments about our ceremony) that as soon as we were pregnant we thought of Kristen for the Baby Blessing! It was such a beautiful thing to have the same person who blessed us as a married couple, bless our new baby girl and family of three. And she will no doubt do it again to make us a family of four when the time comes again! Kristen is so incredibly easy to work with and accommodating that the entire process was a breeze! I can definitely say that our day wouldn't have been the same with out Kristen. She was one of the first vendors that we booked when we knew we wanted a Charleston wedding. The ceremony was very important to us, and we felt like Kristen "got us" and what we were trying to achieve in our ceremony. I highly recommend her full service package that includes the marriage counseling Skype sessions. It really helped us get to know one another, and the homework generated thoughtful reflection and conversation. Kristen of Wedding Belle Rev. was so wonderful to work with. She was simultaneously very professional and incredibly warm. The way Kristen put together our ceremony made it so personal and she took all of our wishes into account. We received so many compliments on the ceremony and Kristen from our family and friends. It was everything we hoped for. She also had a ways to travel to our ceremony which we appreciated her doing! My husband and I also did the premarital counseling with her, which I would suggest! It helped Kristen get to know us, which I think was reflected in the ceremony and gave us a chance to really get comfortable with the person who was marrying us- which was great! I don't even know how to begin, except to say Kristen is now someone we call family. My (now) husband and I went through Kristen's premarital course in which there were 4 "homework" activities. Throughout that process, my husband and I learned not only about each other but a lot about ourselves. He and I had lived together for 3 years leading up to our wedding, so several of the "preparing to live together" issues we had already encountered. However, Kristen challenged us to think about things we either had never really thought/talked about or things we had forgotten about.

Most importantly, in the midst of all of planning chaos, it brought us back to ground zero to remind each other of the most important part of it all - our commitment and love for one another. Kristen learned so many parts of us and our relationship, and we always had outstanding meetings with her every time. She helped us write our own vows with the traditional notes included, which was so special to us. My husband and I instantly felt a bond with her, and will hold her near and dear in our hearts forever now. You won't find a better officiant or a better person, trust me.

Kristen was incredible. Neither my wife nor I are from Charleston so we were worried that we wouldn't be able to have a personal connection with an officiant like we wanted. We ended up doing the pre-marital counseling with her, and in the months leading up to the wedding we really connected. We wanted our vows to be personal, but didn't know where to start - Kristen helped us put together the most beautiful ceremony ever! After the ceremony, just about every guest came up to us and asked how we knew her or how long we have known her for since the ceremony felt so personal. It was truly a day to remember, and Kristen made sure everything went perfectly for us!

My now husband and I were especially pessimistic when we began thinking about finding an officiant w/ whom we truly felt connected. Mid 20's meant, for us, a lack of church affiliation & a confused outlook on the meaning of religion as it fits in our lives. It also meant we worried we'd have trouble finding an officiant in Charleston who came without the judgment we sometimes felt as non-practicing Christians in the South. Even more, we wanted someone who saw love for what it is, who shared our heart for social justice & embraced all people with an open heart & open mind. Ten minutes after I met Kristen Barner, I knew we had found the right person to marry us! She is the most happy, energetic, optimistic, well-spoken person and immediately you get the feeling you've known her forever! She made us and our families feel so at ease and she effortlessly (it seemed that way to us) took control of the logistics of the ceremony so we didn't have to worry about anything! She is the friend you haven't met yet - and you'll be happy you choose her to be part of your day! She will forever be part of our lives and we feel very blessed for that!

I would get married once a week just to be around Kristen. Kind, warm, thoughtful, responsive, and so reassuring as you move through this important and life changing process. She is so invested while still being so open to it being completely and entirely your wedding with space for your faith and your chosen ceremony. Her calming presence will be one of the things that sticks with you most from your big day - and I loved everything about my day! I don't know how we were so lucky to find her as we eloped from 15 hours away, but I'm so grateful we did. She is an Incredible human and incredible officiant and you will feel like a stronger couple because of the faith and love she invests in your union.

Dear Bride, stop scouring reviews and just hire Kristen from Wedding Belle Rev. Not only will you get a fantastic officiant who is truly invested in every single one of her couples, but you both will get a friend for life. My fiance and i booked Kristen for premarital counseling (so worth it!) and our ceremony. The premaritial counseling was the furthest thing from painful. We got to drink wine together (we did ours at various happy hours) and did 4 homework assignments from Kristen. Afterwards, we would FaceTime her as we lived in Seattle, and we would chat. SO incredibly helpful when you are stressed from planning a wedding because these activities really help you plan your life and your marriage, the most important parts.For our ceremony, we worked with Kristen to choose every reading and she sent over multiple drafts (including a change from the MOB the night before!). Wedding Belle Rev gave us a one of a kind ceremony that was spiritual, but not overly religious, personal, modern, and true to who we are. The day of our wedding, as i walked down the aisle, i was about as happy to see Kristen as i was my groom! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kristen. I have heard people rave about the catering or the cake or the band before, but I believe my wedding is the first where I heard so many comment on how wonderful the reverend was! I even had someone ask me afterwards if I could send them a copy of our ceremony. We are not local to Charleston, so Kristen met with my husband and I via Facetime a few times to get to know us and understand what would ideally work for us. It was the perfect mix of religious and secular. Kristen included a lot of reading and ceremony options but helped us craft something that was very unique and personal. My three children were included in the vows, something I would not have thought of on my own, and I will cherish that forever as one of the most beautiful parts of the day. I cannot recommend Kristen highly enough.

I’ll have to give my daughter and her fiancé the kudos for finding Kristen. She was OUTSTANDING! She not only counseled them before the wedding but was also instrumental in everything going smoothly! I highly recommend her. She patiently worked with my daughter and her finance to make sure the vows and service reflected their life and love for one another. Kristen was more amazing than I could have anticipated, we loved the premarital counseling and I feel we have a lifelong friend in her. We booked Kristen for our Isle of Palms destination wedding and only met via skype until the rehearsal for our wedding but feel we were definitely provided quality service from someone who truly cares about the people she is marrying and genuinely loves what she does.

Rev. Kristen is awesome! We could not and still cannot stop gushing over her. We thought having a ceremony which incorporated Guatemalan traditions would be difficult considering the language and cultural differences. This was not the case. Kristen went above and beyond to bring these cherished traditions to life. Our guests have repeatedly told us that our ceremony was unique and truly special for them to witness. Aside from the actual ceremony, Rev. Kristen skyped with us often, getting to know us and vice versa. She made us feel comfortable and made our wedding planning process less stressful. We love Rev. Kristen and know she will be part of our lives for many years to come.

Kristen Barner was probably the best decision we made regarding our wedding (Which is saying a lot because we made a lot of amazing choices!) My husband and I are goofy and wanted to have a goofy but serious wedding. Kristen definitely succeeded in making that happen!

If you're looking for an impersonal, in-and-out type of wedding, she's probably not the best one for you. But if you're looking for a ceremony that has meaning and shows who you are as a couple, then look no further. Kristen got to know us and made the ceremony incredibly personal and fun. You don't just get a "service" with her; you get a friend and an advocate and someone who genuinely cares about you and your day.

I just wish it wouldn't be incredibly silly to do yearly vow-renewals so we could relive our wonderful ceremony frequently. Though I promise you, when we do decide to do a vow renewal, I know exactly who I'm calling up. And you should call her too.

(Also! Do her premarital "classes"! My husband and I got to have conversations we didn't even think to have thanks to her! Definitely worth it!)

Kristen was absolutely wonderful and great to work with. Our wedding was on October 1st, on the day hurricane Joaquin and its relentless rain arrived in Charleston. Prior to the wedding day, we had a great first Skype consultation with Kristen as we were planning our wedding all the way from Portland, Oregon. We felt immediately at ease and confident that she would do a great job. More importantly, she was just a great fit. It was very important to us that we acknowledged and respected the different belief systems of our guests (our families have very different values and religious affiliations) and made everyone feel welcome. She helped us put together the perfect ceremony, that fit with our beliefs and was very inclusive of everyone who attended our wedding. She supplied us with many possibilities for readings and different types of rituals which helped us put together a beautiful ceremony. She was very flexible when it came to making small changes here and there. Since we had never met in person, Kristen proposed to meet us at the venue the day before to walk us through the ceremony and help us feel more confident. We rehearsed for the outdoor wedding that we had initially planned, but on the day of, hurricane Joaquin forced us to change our plans. Despite the rain and the flooding, Kristen showed up early and kept reminding my nervous groom that everything was going to be just fine even though we had to scramble to move everything indoors. Our guests showed up late due to the terrible conditions on the road, but Kristen was such a calm presence and that's what we truly needed. The ceremony itself was beautiful and so many of my friends commented on how special it was. Few friends had every experienced such an intimate, personal ceremony that fit our personalities and relationship so well. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and I would highly recommend Kristen to any couple planning a Charleston wedding!!

We just got married this past weekend at The Island House and Kristen was our reverend. We love her so much! She knew I was super nervous for the ceremony and she kept me completely calm. She is easy to get along with, professional, and makes you feel at ease with the entire process. We would not change one thing about our ceremony! She offers many options for the ceremony to compliment your personalities and we chose the wine box option to be a part of it and people cannot stop talking about it. I also had numerous people come up to me and say just how great the wording of the ceremony was and ask how we got so lucky to find Rev Kristen. She really is amazing and we recommend her a millions times over !!!

Working with Kristen during my son's wedding was an absolute pleasure! We found her to be very professional and flexible. My son met her first and had an immmediate connection with Kristen. He wanted someone who would be easy and stress free and would make his foreign bride feel at ease. From their pre-wedding counciling, to the fun and humorous rehearsal, to the beautiful, personalized and thoughtful ceremony, every step was well thought out and organized. Kristen worked with my son and daughter-in-law to come up with the perfect ceremony that was filled with love, tradition, humor and emotion and made every guest feel like they were a part of the ceremony. Kristen listened to the bride and groom, as well as the parents, and kept everyone's requests in mind when planning the service. She performed a lovely traditional Celtic knot tying ceremony that was interesting and fun to watch and captured the spirit of the ceremony perfectly! Their vows were personalized and fit them to a tee! After the sevice, lots of our guests came up to us and asked us where we found our officiant, telling us what a great job she did. The best part is, at the end of a fabulous, love filled day, you feel like you have just made a lifelong friend, who you hope will be around to officiate all of your important life events!

Let us just start off by saying that Kristen was amazing. Establishing an officiant was pretty low on our priority list at first. However, we couldn't have been more wrong about how critically important this piece of the wedding is, and how critically important it is to have the right person, and a good quality person.

After our initial "interview" we conducted mostly Skype sessions, including for our counseling. Which brings us to another point, get the counseling package! It's not really counseling as it is conversations centered around date night homeworks. We really looked forward to sitting down and having these important conversations, talking about the future, and focusing on the commitment we were about to make.

In fact, one of these homeworks became very relevant when a difficult family issue arrived a couple of weeks before the wedding. We contacted Kristen to see if she could speak with us to talk us through it, not only was she available right away to be there for us, but having already done some homework with her that related to the issue at hand we felt very prepared move forward and handle things.

When it came time for the actual wedding weekend Kristen couldn't have been more helpful. Since we didn't have a wedding coordinator she basically helped us organize all of the logistics of the ceremony. Kristen was so flexible with us and had no problem doing our rehearsal on her own anniversary.

The day of the wedding she was so calm cool and collected, which in turn made us all calm cool and collected. We had asked her to prepare a few words about us and what she said was so incredible. It summed us up in a way we wouldn't have been able to do ourselves. It also really set a special and personal tone for the whole ceremony.

All in all, Kristen was incredible! All of our friends and family kept commenting about how fantastic she was. She makes you feel like you're a part of her family. We love her and can't recommend her enough!

What a wonderful person to work with on our special day! We had a small destination wedding and needed an officiant we could get to know remotely, but who could also conduct a ceremony that was uniquely ours. Kristen did that and more. She really did her homework beforehand, asking just the right questions and offering just the right advice to help us all get ready for the big day. She then delivered a beautiful wedding message that could not have been more "us". Our guests still tell us how much they enjoyed it. Kristen far exceeded our expectations. We decided on an impromptu wedding ceremony in Hampton Park and found Kristen online. She was responsive and helped craft a very emotional and befitting ceremony for us. It was perfect. We even wanted Kristen to do our daughter's blessing/baptism because of her personalism, warmth and detail. We ended up wanting a congregation for the baptism, but Rev. Barner is someone I highly recommend whatever you need her for...as an officiant, friend or counselor.

Kristen was completely amazing. My husband and I wanted premarital counseling with a focus on how to grow as a couple in our Christian lives. Kristen created personalized assignments for us that helped us know each other on a new level before our marriage. She also worked with us on developing personalized vows that really captured what we truly wanted to promise one another for the rest of our lives. Her schedule was flexible and we had a great time getting to know her and telling her stories. We were so honored when she tied our stories into an extremely meaningful sermon for the ceremony. Finally, she took time on the wedding day to check in with both of us, meet our families, and make our 6 and 7 year old ring bearers feel comfortable walking down the aisle. Overall, phenomenal service and my husband And I couldn't imagine anyone else marrying us! In two words, HIRE HER!!!! :)

Amazing woman! Jorge and I couldn't have been more pleased with everything about Kristen!!! She was so easy to work with! My husband and I got married in Charleston but live in New Jersey. Planning and out of town is especially troublesome when choosing who is going to marry you. We searched the web for the perfect personality for our ceremony. We found Kristen's webpage and she seemed to be both lighthearted, but serious about what she does. We made the appointment to chat with her and she was just what we were looking for. Upon meeting her via Skype, we talked about many important things including family, our relationship and our religious backgrounds. My husband and I have different religious backgrounds, but this was not a stumbling point for Kristen. We continued chatting in the weeks up to our wedding and created a completely personalized ceremony. Kristen spent a lot of time working to ensure that our ceremony was perfect for us as a couple. By the time we walked down the aisle, I was confident that our ceremony was perfect for my husband and myself. I also knew that Kristen knew exactly who we were as a couple. When it came time to meet Kristen, I was beside myself. It was as if we had known each other for years. I am confident that our friendship will continue into the future. She is wonderful to work with. On the day of our wedding, all of our guests commented on how heartfelt and touching the ceremony was. They loved the personal touches that Kristen recommended for us. My husband and I would 100% recommend Kristen to anyone who is in need of an officiant in the Charleston area.

The most important part of our wedding day was the ceremony; the lifetime commitment of love that Ryan and I pledged before our family and friends. Therefore, it was of utmost importance that we felt a connection to the person that was performing our ceremony. But as ours was a destination wedding, we didn’t know anyone in the area. However, with a little research and several cups of coffee, we met and fell in love with Reverend Kristen Barner.

Kristen was AMAZING!!! We were very worried prior to finding Kristen. We didn't have to much time left and we really wanted someone that understood what my husband and I were looking for in our wedding. She took the time to meet with us prior to the wedding to discuss all the little details. After that meeting, all our worries were over! She sent us numerous email's checking in with us and giving us suggestions of readings and structure for the ceremony, The day prior to the wedding, we met for the rehearsal and everything ran amazing, which was the exact reason why our ceremony ran so smoothly! My husband and I were referred to Kristen through our wedding planner, and we were a bit skeptical at first. The last thing we wanted was a "mail-order" feel to our ceremony. The first time we met Kristen, we knew we had made the right decision. Jay and I were in Yuma, AZ and Kristen was in Charleston, SC and we "met" via FaceTime--planning and discussing our wants and goals for the ceremony for nearly two hours. Kristen asked us about how we met, how we knew we wanted to be together, our goals for the future, and worked with us to combine traditional faith-based vows with our self-written ones.

On the day of our rehersal, Kristen arrived on time and conducted everyone professionally and willingly. From the get-go, everything was set up and plans were instituted so that stress could be minimalized for the following day.

We would recommend Kristen to anyone looking to get married in South Carolina. Looking back on our wedding day, we would not change a thing!

Kristin was amazing and actually took the time to get to know the 2 of us. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect officiate and would recommend her to everyone we know. She really listen to us and it came out in the ceremony. If you looking for someone that cares and really puts her heart into her work than Kristen is for you.

Reverend Kristen Barner- there really ought to be more People of the Cloth like her.

What you get with the Rev is not just someone who will say some words and marry you on your big day, but someone who is genuinely interested in your union. Kristen has lived life in the real world, and understands the many challenges, pitfalls, and joys of a wedding- and all of the family dynamics therein.

You are not getting a stodgy person in a collar; you are getting a vibrant, caring, interesting and joyful officiant. Everyone we spoke with after our wedding said they really enjoyed the happiness and depth she brought to our ceremony, and we did too.

Kristen offers several packages at unbelievable rates. Initially we opted for just day-of service but wound up going with a rehearsal as well. As she likes to say, "Preparation breeds calm", and that is true. Go with the rehearsal. As a part of your package you will also get a sit-down meeting with her, in person or by Skype, to get to know one another. This was incredibly helpful in soothing those pre-wedding jitters, and a nice respite from the stress associated with putting together a big event.

Kristen really helps you focus on what is important; not the cake, or the playlist, or your mom's outfit, but your mate and your marriage going forward. She will also help you design your ceremony, choose meaningful readings, and generally soothe you with her presence. She is very easy to talk to and always returned calls and emails quickly. Also, if you're worried about choosing an officiant that is 'religious' or 'traditional' enough to please older, more conservative family members, fear not, Reverend Kristen Barner can make that happen while still giving you two the ceremony you want.

In short, she's a delight. You will not be disappointed!

Kristin was absolutely wonderful! She was sincerely interested in what we wanted our wedding to be and made great suggestions on how to achieve it. Knowing she was handling this part of the wedding relieved a lot of stress!!I would recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much Kristin!

Kristen was an amazing officiant! She was very very helpful when we really didn't have an idea as to what we wanted in our ceremony. She helped us with our vows and gave us plenty of examples to help out. She is very friendly and a pleasure to work with!

Kristen was just amazing! She took the time to meet with me and really get to know me. We were getting married at a church that had a lot of weddings and I was afraid we would be assigned a reverend that just “churned” out ceremonies. This was NOT the case! Kristen sat with me for over two hours really getting to know me and what I wanted for the ceremony. I was a little lost as to what to include in the ceremony and she had so many ideas including special traditions to include (unity candle), ideas for scripture to read and special prayers. She was more than willing to include personal aspects that were important to Brent and I. She practically wrote our entire wedding program. Since Brent was deployed when I first met Kristen, she went out of her way to set up another coffee date so she could also get to know him. She was incredibly responsive through email and very supportive! There is nothing stuffy or pretentious about Kristen, from the moment I met her it was like working with a long-time friend. I never felt like I had to sensor myself. She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. She made our wedding ceremony absolutely perfect. There were tears from the very meaningful things she said about Brent and I, to well-placed jokes that made everyone laugh. She was very organized at the rehearsal which really put me at ease and allowed me to truly enjoy the experience.

Kristen was the officiant at our wedding vow renewal and she listened very carefully to our reasons for undertaking this new marriage ceremony and her words were wonderful and totally appropriate given our situation. Kristen made the day a memorable event.

Kristen officiated our wedding on Isle of Palms beach on April 27th 2013. Kristen was the perfect fit for our wedding! We had so many compliments on how she performed our ceremony. She was very flexible and open to all our ideas! We also liked how Kristen took the time to get to know us and our families. We would most definitely recommend Kristen! She is absolutely amazing!

Kristen was the perfect officiant for our wedding! From her first email, we knew that she was the one for our special day. My husband and I were living in different states during the planning of our wedding, and Kristen was in yet another state, but we still managed to create a cohesive vision for our ceremony via email and Skype. Throughout the planning process, she provided lots of comfort, laughter, and lightness for which I will be eternally grateful.

On a personal note, I had major anxiety on the day of our rehearsal, due to the fact that my husband's and my families had never met. I was afraid that there may be some tense or awkward moments during our rehearsal dinner due to the numerous conflicting personalities. However, Kristen swept right in and melded effortlessly into the group, providing great stories and anecdotes that really brightened the whole room. I neglected to tell her how much stress she alleviated from my shoulders the day before my wedding, but it was truly a gift.

My husband and I highly recommend Kristen for her high level of professionalism, outstanding character, and so much more. Thanks for making our wedding more special than we could have imagined.

Kristen is AMAZING! It was almost a month before the wedding and I was missing the most important part... how to make our wedding LEGAL! I contacted her and she immediately recognized my needs and scheduled a sit down meet with my fiancé and I. She immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. She talked us through what she does and took a lot of stress off of our shoulders. She took care of everything. She got to know the both of us and learned about our relationship and what made it special. She learned about our individual family members and made sure that the ceremony included the joining of our families in a traditional manner, but also made our ceremony feel romantic by adding a personal touch. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony for us. She made our outdoor park wedding feel holy and special. She is very sweet and extremely professional. When I saw her after walking down the isle, I immediately felt at ease. The whole thing was beautiful.
Not to mention the premarital counseling... So much fun! It required my fiancé and I to relax, get some alone time, and actually TALK about our relationship and our impending marriage, which gets hard to do when everyone is hounding you for information on flowers, chairs, decorations, cakes... etc. It brought my fiancé and I together on the most important topic of our wedding, our marriage. Not to mention it was easy, relaxed and fun to do. She recommends even getting out of the house, no distractions. What a relief it was to have someone force me to step away from wedding planning and have some fun! The entire experience with Kristen was great. I hope to keep in touch with her even after our wedding. She truly cares about her clients and loves what she does.

Kristen is amazing! Her pre-marital counseling opened up a lot of issues my fiancé and I had not considered but provided a safe space in which to discuss them. By the time we were done, I realized that marrying him was the smartest decision I would ever make. From the counseling, to the personally-tailored ceremony, to the warm and wonderful support, I can safely say that choosing Kristen to officiate our wedding is the second smartest decision I've ever made. She is, without question, in love with the work that she does and it shines through.

We flew blind on planning a wedding in a place we didn't live, or even the back up of friends that lived there! My husband did his research and found Rev. Garner. We couldn't have found a more perfect match to the the type person and service we wanted. She took the time to get the information to make it such an appropriate service. She followed thru with calling or e-mailing when, well, I forgot to call her back! I blame it on wedding neurosis! She added to the enjoyment of our event!

I had the great pleasure to meet Kristen socially prior to my engagement. I got to know Kristen for the charismatic, funny, and infectiously happy person that she is. As soon as Mike and I got engaged and started the wedding planning process, I knew that I wanted Kristen to be our wedding officiant. We had a lot of fun working with Kristen prior to our wedding and our pre-marriage sessions encouraged some conversation that we otherwise probably would not have had. Kristen listened to us and respected our wishes with regards to the wedding ceremony and we felt like we had a ceremony that was tailored specifically to us. I would highly recommend Kristen as a wedding officiant as her balance of professionalism and humor truly made our wedding day unique and special.

I have known Kristen for many years, and when it came time to plan my wedding, I sadly told my fiance that since she moved to South Carolina, there was probably no way she would be able to perform the service in our hometown in Virginia. It was too far away, in the middle of the winter, and on such short notice being 3 months away. I was even too afraid to ask! But thankfully the day after my engagement was announced, she asked me if she could perform the service. I was so relieved and happy!

I have always known Kristen to be a cool, fun, relaxed person with a great energy and the ability to make other people comfortable. This is what you need during a wedding. Since we live in Florida, all the pre-wedding meetings took place on Skype. My husband and I work opposite day/night schedules so it was a challenge to find time to meet. Her flexibility was wonderful as we fit meetings in when we could.

She tailored the service to exactly what we wanted, adding and taking out even the smallest details to make us feel completely comfortable. She handled interactions with busy and stressed out family members with grace and calm. She stressed time and time again that this was our day, with our decisions, at our event.

She made the whole process so easy and fun, and most importantly, stress free! Having someone who truly cares about your union and your decisions makes all the difference in the world. My husband and I extend our thanks and appreciation to the care we received on one of the most important days of our lives.

My husband and I were getting married in Charleston as a destination wedding but felt it was really important to still have a personal connection to the person who would be marrying us. We met Kristen and immediately felt a connection and trust. She was a pleasure to work with and we were so thankful to have someone like her to help us through the process of planning our ceremony, wedding vows, and making it so unique to our personal needs. What can we say about Kristen? She's wonderful, she's accommodating, she can think on her feet like a champion, and shes got some really cute dogs! We were worried about who would officiate our wedding since we hadn't lived in Charleston in years and had no idea who could do it. We didn't really want a random person, but after our first Skype meeting with Kristen we knew she wouldn't be a "random person" for long!! We aren't religious, and Kristen helped us build the perfect ceremony with ideas for vows, readings, blessings, etc. We knew we liked Kristen well before the wedding, but when our planner left out a pretty key part of our ceremony, she was lightning on her feet and made it so no one even noticed, while still keeping that special part in the ceremony! Kristen is the best!

Kristen made our daughter's christening so special and unique. She captured our reasons for baptizing our daughter and included the many friends and family that attended in a way that was truly meaningful and "us". Kristen really took the time to understand what was important to my family and why, then created a beautiful ceremony expressing it. We feel lucky to have had Kristen lead us in this life event and to call her our friend.
