Waterloo Village is a truly magical venue, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience there. We first visited for a wedding and were immediately captivated by the rustic charm and historic atmosphere. After seeing how seamlessly everything ran that day, we knew it was the perfect place for our own wedding. The staff at Waterloo Village is outstanding—extremely friendly, helpful, and refreshingly low-pressure. They genuinely focus on making your day special without pushing you to spend beyond your budget. Their professionalism and warmth made the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. One of the highlights is their catering partner, JAM. Their commitment to farm-to-table dining is evident in every dish. Many of the ingredients are sourced fresh, some even from their urban garden, which adds a special touch. The food is not only fresh but absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with incredible staff and top-notch food, Waterloo Village is a fantastic choice! -

I am getting married at Waterloo Village Historic Site in Stanhope, NJ on July 18, 2025. Waterloo Village is a historic site that was renovated for weddings by Jeffrey A. Miller Catering Company. My fiancé and I toured over twenty venues all across the Hudson Valley and decided on Waterloo Village because of the beautiful ceremony sites and farm-to-table food. Just had our Final Walkthrough meeting with Christine and we both left feeling so relieved! She has taken us through each to-do list item step by step, which really helps calm the one-month-to-go panic. In talking to the JAM and Waterloo staff, it is so apparent that they hold a deep love for the venue, enjoy meeting with couples, and strive to make their visions come to life. Very excited for the crisp natural autumnal setting, the food (!!), the gorgeous pictures, and of course - to marry my guy! -

When we were first looking at venues, Waterloo immediately caught our eye. We booked a tour with the intention of “just looking”, and before we even left we knew this was the venue for us. Diane and Carolyn have been so amazing and attentive and have made the entire planning process a breeze. The venue itself is beautiful, and has a multitude of inclusions and rental decor which are all amazing. From the signature cocktails to the fresh farm to table food, we are so so excited to get married here in October 2024. Highly recommend!!! -

I am a September 2024 bride, of course my wedding has not even occured yet and I am so grateful I chose Jam Catering and Waterloo Village. The tastings blew my mind. I am a picky eater but tried everything at the tasting. To my shock even food I would otherwise not touch was all amazing!!!! There wasnt a single item I didnt love. Wedding food typically is sub par, even ones ive gone to that cost double mine does and the food at Jam is from a whole new bracket. I cant wait to have all my guests actually enjoy and love every food they offer. Words cannot describe the quality of food, staff and planning. I recommend Jam and Waterloo to any bride looking for a venue, nothing compares. -

We had our wedding at Waterloo over the summer and it was a fairytale! Everything was exactly how I had envisioned thanks to our planner Carolyn. The photos do not do the venue justice. The surrounding grounds are stunning in full bloom. The bridal suite was beautifully decorated and tranquil while we were getting ready. Diane and Carolyn were wonderful to work with and I always enjoyed seeing them at the open houses and throughout the planning process. I can't recommend them enough. So many of our guests said it was by far the best food they have ever had. JAM Catering was fantastic! The service was also top of the line as well. I wish I could do it all over again. -

We can't wait to have our wedding at Waterloo! I have lived nearby my whole life and it has always been a dream. Diane met with us initially and figured out a plan to make our budget work. Everyone is helpful and accomodating, and Jeffrey Miller himself was at our tasting! They have allowed us to customize our big day to fit our needs, the food was delicious, and there is no place as beautiful as Waterloo. -

Our experience so far with Waterloo Village and their staff has been amazing. From the moment we walked onto the property at Waterloo, we knew it was going to be our wedding venue! Between the beautiful farm, the adorable animals (love the alpacas), the gorgeous canal and historic homes, and the venue itself, we made our venue decision very quick! We got to see all of the ceremony spots which were all beautiful in their own unique way, but since our wedding is in summer we fell in love with their Secret Garden location. It is tucked away in the trees and just gives very magical vibes. So we are super excited!
Once we picked Waterloo as our venue, it only got better from there. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. We brought our families to the open house and both sets of parents could not believe how incredible the food was! JAM catering does an amazing job of make fresh food that is sustainable and mostly grown by them (AMAZING)!
At our tasting, it was incredible how organized and friendly all of the staff were. We cannot wait for our wedding at Waterloo Village! -

They say that your wedding day is the best day of your life and thanks to Waterloo Village Weddings ours really was! Everything about our experience with JAM and Waterloo Village Weddings was absolutely perfect. What drew us to this venue initially (aside from the idyllic location) was that they are a one-stop shop. Not having to coordinate with a venue, a caterer, a cake maker, a decorations rental and all of the other things you find out you need when planning a wedding made the experience so easy. It was so easy to pick our menus and really customize them to what we wanted. The rentable decor available was perfect for the look we were wanting and really created the rustic, country wedding of our dreams. And Christine and her team coordinated every detail with our outside vendors, as well.
The team at Waterloo really know what they are doing and the pride they take in making your day perfect shows in so many ways. On our wedding day, it was windy and we were faced with the tough decision to move our ceremony inside. Christine (our Waterloo Coordinator) pulled together the most beautiful indoor ceremony for us. We were married in the Mule Barn which was just absolutely stunning. And the best part was we didn’t have to do anything! Christine and her team coordinated with our vendors and let them know of the new plan before I could even type a text message. Throughout the whole day, the entire staff made sure my wife and I always had full drinks and were eating the amazing food they had prepared for us. Our guests could not stop raving about the food! Honestly, it was so good! When it came to the end of the night, they already had all of our personal items packed up neatly and even broke down our chuppah and put it back in the rental truck for us. The team was incredible and really made it so that we could just enjoy the day and our guests.
I could go on forever about how amazing Christine and her team at Waterloo Village, JAM, and just the whole experience was but just know that you will NOT regret having your wedding here. For the money you are paying you really get so MUCH MORE with JAM and Waterloo Village events! Hands down the best venue and catering company in Northern New Jersey. -

This review is a little late but worth the read. My fiancé and I will be getting married, September of next year at Waterloo Village. From the moment I walked onto the property, walking past the garden, orchard and walking up the brick path to where the reception will be, my fiancé and I agreed, this is where we say “I do”. The rustic romantic feel of the venue and everything you could possibly need is already included in the price. They offer a variety of decor and lighting options and the venue has several stone fireplaces that add to the ambiance. The entire meeting and tour with the manager Diane was perfect! Diane’s passion, personality and vision when she talked about where we could have our 1st look to the reception set up was exactly how I envisioned my wedding day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Waterloo Village. -

Excellent!
I will be getting married here December 2024 and I have to say that everything thus far has been nothing short of amazing! When I first inquired about them, Diane, got back to me right away and we set up a meeting to tour the venue! Walking the path leading to the meeting house where our reception will be, I already knew I had to get married here and so did my fiance. The rustic decor and what is included was what sold us! From the lanterns, centerpieces, seating chart signs, I fell in love. I was also very excited that we will get a day of coordinator and that the food is grown on premises! We booked right away and since then, they have actively kept in contact making sure we know about open houses so we can come play with what we want to do at our wedding, and just keeping us in the know on events. We attended an open house in July and was so glad we did! We were able to bring a couple people from our bridal party, and we got to speak to coordinators, play with our centerpieces, and we got to try some of the food! Everything was delicious. We can not wait for our big day! You can not go wrong with going with Waterloo! -

I could not be happier with this venue. JAM catering has been so helpful and flexible with every aspect of the event planning. My favorite thing about Waterloo Village is that the site is beautiful on it's own and I've had to do minimal work in terms of decorations. SO much is included in their price per person (even the alpacas & firepit!). I'm not even getting flower centerpieces because their included décor is perfect. Tessa is our event coordinator and she is the BEST. She answers promptly and has been so accommodating. Diane has also been SO great from start to finish. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. -

Every time my fiancé and I visit Waterloo Village, we get more and more excited to get married there this fall. We went for our group tasting, and it was an awesome event!! We brought my parents, sister, and brother-in-law, and we all agreed that the tasting felt like a mini wedding! The JAM staff were all very friendly and helpful with answering all of our questions. We got to try everything from signature drinks, welcome drinks, cocktail stations and passed hors d'oeuvres, several different entrees, dessert stations, and at least 8 different cakes! We walked out stuffed and happy and also had a great idea of what our favorites were that we want to serve our guests. They even had Metrobus there too (who we also booked for our wedding) for taking fun photobooth pics! JAM catering continues to impress us and we are looking forward to building our delicious menu out with them soon! :) -

Group Tasting
My fiancé and I just had our group tasting at Waterloo Village prior to our April 2023 wedding. There was SO many different options to try from in all areas such as cocktail hour drinks passed, hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour food stations, appetizers, dinner items, cakes, dessert enhancements, and even a to go goody bag with treats! It was great having so many options to try from and gave us a clear vision for our wedding menu. Some of our favorites were the tomahawk steak, hanging pretzels, barbecue in a jar, salmon croquette, flat iron steak, and churros! We don’t know what was better, the presentation or the taste! To top it off, Jeffrey Miller was there himself chatting with guests and cooking delicious dishes which made it an even more personalized experience. All of the employees were extremely informative and happy to answer any questions we had. We are even more excited to have our upcoming wedding and for our guests to try all the fantastic dishes! It was a wonderful Saturday outing with my fiancé as it also allowed us to explore the venue and further envision our special day at such a beautiful venue. I am a 2022 Bride, and chose Jeffrey A. Miller Catering at The Waterloo Village because of their 5-star customer service and farm-to-table catering. The venue itself is a historical site and a state park, with lush green, a farm, a beautiful canal, and farm animals to boot. Waterloo Village exclusively utilizes JAMCatering, which does an amazing job creating delicious dishes for everyone. On top of that, they really make you feel a part of the family, and care deeply for your wedding day.
I completed the food tasting, and the food was absolutely amazing, and unique! The upgrades are totally worth it!
The best part is the design coordinator and staff are so realistic, they will be honest and tell you where to save and what's not necessary if you are trying to save a buck. I love that they weren't trying to upsell me in a salesy way.
I can tell already after meeting my day of design coordinator that the day will run near flawlessly with an incredibly hardworking team behind me. I can't wait to get married here! -

The venue itself is completely to die for. It has so much charm and authenticity, unlike many other venues in the area. When my husband and I think about the best day of our lives, it is our wedding. That would not have been possible if not for JAM Catering at Waterloo Village. From the moment we booked to the night we left, the staff was supportive and responsive every step of the way (with a smile on their face). We had 2 months to plan the wedding, so all hands were on deck. Tessa, Danielle, and Maria made all things possible. Responses were quick and always two steps ahead of me. Every time there was a change, it was not a problem and they were happy to accommodate. They have a solid system and execute it in the most professional way. I truly had a team to depend on, which is so important. They are organized and you can tell everyone there loves what they do. The wedding day went perfect. I did not have to think about one thing. As the bride and groom, were guided from place to place and everything went as planned. They are detail oriented and the communication with the other vendors and in-house staff is strong. We received so many compliments from friends and family about the food, location, ambiance, and all around good vibe that the venue provides. They day was simply magical. We can not wait to go back on our one year anniversary and have a picnic on the gorgeous landscape! We highly recommend Waterloo Village, JAM Catering. -

Rustic Winter Wonderland. ❤️
If you are looking for the most beautiful rustic chic wedding, look no further! I knew from the moment I walked into Waterloo Village a year ago that this was the place that I had to get married. They surpassed all of my husband and I’s dreams and expectations on our special day. We HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.
From the day we booked, the staff treated us like family and they are far from money hungry, unlike many other vendors I visited and talked to prior to Waterloo.
They provided all of the decor (i.e. such as candles, lanterns, wood slabs, wood stumps, signs, card box, cake stand, string lights, etc.), which took away the headache of having to go to a store to pick and choose everything individually. On top of that, they have so many decor options and combinations, so no wedding ever looks exactly the same once you personalize it. Waterloo also provides you with an amazing Wedding Coordinator who helps you every step of the way. Everything was just so organized and laid out for me, that I really didn’t have to do much in regard to my venue. This allowed me time to focus on other important little aspects of the wedding.
The food and dessert was also beyond phenomenal! Every single one of my guests raved about it after the wedding! They also couldn’t stop talking about the gorgeous ambiance of the whole place. If I had a penny for every time someone told me this is the best wedding they’ve ever been to, I’d be rich!
If I could relive my wedding night, I would do it 1000x’s over and over again.

From the first time my husband and I walked the grounds of Waterloo, we knew we wanted to get married here! The grounds and buildings were so incredibly beautiful and complimented our relationship perfectly. Tessa was our planner for our day and was amazing! Maria and Diana were a great help along the way too and extremely friendly! During the planning process, she kept us informed of any changes that were happening, she was responsive to all emails, and she made the day run so smooth. My husband and I had a vision for where we wanted to get married on the grounds and Tessa made it happen! The food was amazing and all of our guests have been raving over all the food (even to this day). The staff was extremely courteous and helpful the day of. The staff really made the day run smoothly, answered anyone's questions, helped anyone that needed something, and everyone was extremely friendly. All of our family and friends continue to talk about how perfect and how smooth our day was! I would recommend Waterloo Village to any couple that is looking for a laid back, historical setting, but with a formal touch. Thank you so much everyone! -

Waterloo is a magical venue, I’m so happy we had our wedding there. From the moment we first visited we knew that was it and we can stop searching. It was exactly what we were looking for – a rustic venue (without having to DIY everything) and the most beautiful grounds. The buildings on site are spacious and unique, and you have the options to utilize the spaces however you like for your day, which is great. We brought in very very minimal décor, Waterloo provides just about everything you need and honestly it doesn’t need much at all because it has so much character.
There are so many beautiful spots on the property to choose from for your ceremony too. We had our hearts set on an outdoor ceremony, and Waterloo has endless outdoor options, but we were so happy that we loved the indoor option too in case it rained. It did end up being a very rainy day, but we were completely satisfied with our wedding in the beautiful Pavilion space. Any other venue I would have been upset about the rain. Our coordinator, Tessa, was great and helped us make many last minute decisions when we came to terms with the fact it was going to be a rainy day. Tessa was on top of everything in the months leading up to our wedding, the planning process was honestly a breeze.
The food was excellent, so many people went out of their way to tell us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. I even had people ask if the site had a restaurant because they wanted to go back and eat there again. We didn’t get to eat much during our wedding but they sent us home with 2 full meals to enjoy later on. I’d recommend Waterloo to anyone planning a wedding; I actually hope we get the chance to go back as guests one day!! Our day was absolutely perfect, thank you Waterloo & JAM staff!

Waterloo is the perfect venue. The location is super convenient no matter where your guests are coming from. Grounds are serene, historical and gorgeous. My photographer was like a kid in a candy store when he saw all the picturesque sites! You will LOVE your photos! From our first tour of the place with Maria, we felt like family! She and the entire staff are so welcoming and warm. Even though they are a meticulously crafted, well oiled, well maintained machine, we never felt like "just a number."
Our assigned wedding day planner was Kasia and it was absolutely meant to be. It turns out she is Polish and speaks fluently, which put my in laws at ease since they are also Polish! We were able to FaceTime with her prior to the wedding at a super convenient (late night) time for us and iron out all the details of our day. She was so responsive and genuinely excited for us! Whether via text, email or phone she always got back to us right away no matter how big or small the question.
The day of the wedding was FLAWLESS. A couple snags had happened behind the scenes (regarding late arrival guests etc) but I was blissfully unaware of any of it thanks to the professionalism of Kasia and the whole staff! She was right by my side the entire day and night - even to the point of putting a band aid on my toe when my shoes gave me a blister! She is absolutely no nonsense and get things DONE.
Back to the venue - we got married in late June and it was pretty hot that day. I was concerned that the Conservatory wasn't air conditioned but the fans they have going and the trees that shade the building kept it quite comfortable! We did get a little sweaty in the Meeting Hall during the reception although it is air conditioned, but maybe our incessant dancing had something to do with that. :-)
We chose to get married in the United Methodist Church which is right there on the grounds although it is a separate entity and not part of the Waterloo package. It was SO beautiful, however it was NOT air conditioned and was uncomfortably hot. Nobody seemed to mind but be aware of that. Waterloo has several locations to hold the ceremony so you don't have to use the church.
The exclusive catering company they use, Jeffrey A Miller, is absolutely incredible. Every dish is not just farm to table, but most of the ingredients are farmed right on Waterloo property! The food was so delicious, even our pickiest guests had nothing but compliments about it!
The bartenders and staff are wonderful. They actually look like they are enjoying their jobs and WANT to be there, unlike many other cookie cutter venues that seem to hire the most miserable people they can find.
We were transported from place to place in a golf cart, but be aware that unless your guests are disabled they will have to do a little walking. The terrain is uneven and there are multiple types of ground from rocks to dirt to patio surfaces etc -- I love the look of it but it could be challenging for some people so keep that in mind.
There is a cute little bridal suite/cottage in between the two main buildings that has a great bathroom in it and is air conditioned. Kasia made sure my new husband and I had a plate full of every d'oeuvre's waiting for us there after the ceremony and we were able to take a few minutes to ourselves to regroup.
Did I mention the cake was the best I've ever had? We just went with the basic, bottom of the line included cake and it was insane, everyone raved about it!
Lastly, you MUST spring for the after party - it is outdoors with a bonfire, s'mores, and freshly made stone fired pizza! It was AMAZING, and such a great memory for all of my guests. They loved it and the quality of the pizza is exceptional.
Go to the tasting beforehand, it is an extremely close replica of how your wedding will be. In my opinion, the food and service at my wedding was actually BETTER than the tasting -- and I don't think that's the case for most venues. My guests commented on the extreme diversity of the cocktail hour, no one went hungry or thirsty!
Waterloo is gorgeous. If you're looking for a one stop shop where "everything is included" and you can basically let them take care of all the details, this is it. Classic, rustic elegance and so many little personal touches I can't even name them all. I only had to hire a band, florist and photographer. Waterloo took care of everything else, the whole day was pure magic! Thank you Waterloo! -

Waterloo was an absolutely amazing wedding venue. I am still getting compliments from our guests about the unique style of the venue and the amazing food. I am at that time in my life where I am going to a few weddings every year, and (I may be a little biased but...) no other venue I have been to has had a better atmosphere, if you're looking for that rustic vibe, or had better food than what you get with JAM catering at Waterloo Village. Our venue planner Kasia was incredibly easy to work with; she was on top of everything and made our day absolutely perfect! -

If you want the most perfect wedding, perfect pictures, perfect staff, and perfect decorations then book Waterloo Village! For one, the grounds are breath taking, the venue buildings are rustic, spacious, and amazingly decorated, and the opportunity for gorgeous pictures is innumerable. JAM was excellent from start to finish. They provided all of the decorations so we did not have to set up anything, everything was on time and on point, and there was not an ounce of stress! The food was incredible, our guests are still talking about it! The staff, especially Kasia took charge and did not skip a beat! Even though it rained all day, they were accommodating and handled everything down to the last detail. I highly recommend Waterloo for your wedding. It was truly an unforgettable dream!! -

We knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding at Waterloo Village since it holds a special place for me personally. We found the planning process to be a breeze and were so glad that they had time lines and such in place to make the process easier. What we didn't count on was having such an amazing event coordinator. Kasia was such a pleasure to work with. She was able to work with the catering team to get us a custom flavor for our cake, with a tasting cake to try before the big day. Meeting with her was wonderful as she's so organized and was able to help us figure out not only what we had forgotten, but also things we wanted that we hadn't even considered. She was able to execute our vision perfectly, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The food was amazing and all our guests were so impressed with the attention to detail, the quality of the food, and how much fun it was. Kasia was so great at relieving us of some of our wedding stress and the day of all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves knowing that everything else was handled. She even went above and beyond and advocated for us with our hotel who mishandled our reservation! We were so lucky to have her on our team! -

We hosted our daughter’s wedding at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. From the rehearsal to the final dance, everything was perfect. The food was amazing, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive and the attention to detail was on point. The day we signed the contract Maria made us feel so comfortable and confident in our decision. She was responsive, listened and helped when we needed her support. Kasia, our Venue Coordinator, was incredible. I’m convinced there’s nothing she can’t do. She also listened, addressed all of our questions, came up with solutions and ideas - and even after probably hundreds of questions and challenges, became a friend! I havent even gotten married yet and I'm already raving about this venue. We didn't want to go with a traditional ballroom look, we wanted something more unique and personal. Waterloo checked off every box for us. It was rustic without being too country and can easily be dressed up to suit our look. There's a fire pit for smores, cornhole for cocktail hour and some of the most phenomenal food I've ever had from a caterer. I've been to several tastings at other venues and none could even hold a candle to waterloo. Beyond the sheer selection they offered, the quality was fantastic and there were so many unique options, not just your standard "beef, chicken or fish". Knowing the food is locally and seasonally sourced was the cherry on top. We knew within 5 minutes of being there that this was our spot. Maria is a gem and has been so sweet and helpful with the planning process and answering my 1000 questions. Tessa is my coordinator and she's been great as well. I absolutely cannot wait until october, I'm counting down the days! -

Maria Weingrad (General Manager) and Kasia McManamon (wedding coordinator) from JAM at Waterloo were absolutely fantastic! Not only did my husband and I feel at ease the moment we met Maria and Kasia, but the venue was exactly the vibe we wanted! Waterloo Village is such a different, rustic and beautiful place. We couldn't imagine ourselves getting married anywhere else. To know Maria and Kasia is to love them! They answered my millions of questions without any hesitation, and were incredibly helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. Kasia made the flow of my night PERFECT! I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help execute our special day. I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything because I knew everything would be handled properly. And it was! The ambiance, food and after-party on site was perfect! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about JAM. Thank you again for making our special day so perfect! I grew up going on field trips here and when I learned that we could host our reception here, I was so excited. From the very start, Maria worked with us as we set our wedding date and was always so warm, friendly, and accommodating. She answered our large list of questions and we knew from day one we were in great hands. Christina was our planner and worked with us to establish a lot of the nitty gritty details: menu, decorations, logistics. She was an absolute delight to work with and always promptly responded to our questions as well. We had probably a total of 3 site visits to Waterloo in the course of the year, and every time, Maria and Christina treated us like family. On the day of our wedding, their hard work and dedication throughout the year truly shined. Our reception was fantastic and we are still dreaming about it. Everything we discussed with Christina came to life. The room was absolutely stunning- we received so many compliments. Countless guests remarked at how delicious the food was, noting its high quality and freshness. Our guests loved the games, the fire pit, and being able to hang out outside-something which was always key to our vision. We have had a number of guests also compliment the true level of detail they observed throughout the evening- for example, the wine glasses and beer at cocktail hour were already poured and ready for guests to grab. This made for many happy guests and helped with the flow of our large crowd of about 180 people. The space itself fit everyone comfortably. There were also snacks and champagne that was waiting for us in the bridal cottage-this was such a nice touch on top of what was already such a lovely space. All in all, Waterloo Village and the professional staff truly made our dreams a reality- we cannot recommend Waterloo Village enough!

Ashley Sent on 09/10/2018We got married at Waterloo Village on October 27th, 2017. Maria was a dream to work with in the many months leading up to the big day and Christina was a rock star when it came down to day of and final details. We felt like family the entire way through the planning.
The venue: It is SO BEAUTIFUL. My partner viewed the location and signed the paperwork without me ever seeing it first (except for pics) and words and pictures paled in comparison to the real thing. The buildings feel historic, are very large and seem to accommodate any idea imaginable. We got married in the Secret Garden, which was such a lovely setting. Very set back, private and intimate. Our guests were welcomed with drinks off of an adorable cart and felt pampered the entire way through. Christina and Maria were incredible in making the day go smoothly. You also cannot take a bad photo here, there are so many wonderful settings. The staff were very helpful in getting all of our decorations up and even let our family in a little early during the day off to set up some greenery. Finally, the Bridal Cottage was so perfect for gathering when we needed to get away and touch-up.
The food: TO DIE FOR! Every single one of our guests said this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We added on so many special requests and they never told us no (they were very much within reason). From the cocktail hour, to the main meal, to dessert and then to the Pizza Fire Pit After Party we were all blown away. As a tip you must do the Fire Pit After Party. It was the perfect addition to our night and gave us some real one on one time with guests.
Overall: This is such a special place that really has it all. We planned our wedding from Seattle, and the JAM team could not have been more helpful and gracious. We felt cared for and heard the entire way through. If you have the opportunity to book Waterloo as a venue and JAM as a caterer do not pass it up. You will not regret it!

I worked with Maria from start to finished I cannot possibly put into words how incredible she was. The first time we went to Waterloo to look at the venue and get some prices Maria sat with is until 8:30pm (we got there at 6pm) answering all our questions. Never once did we feel rushed! She was always reachable and there to answer any questions I had. I could not have asked for anyone better to help us plan our wedding day. The venue is absolutely amazing! The landscape is beautiful and the meeting house and meeting hall is so intimate. We knew we did not want the typical ballroom weedding and the second we found Waterloo Village my husband and I were obbsesed. This was actually the ONLY venue we went to see in person and the second we left we knew that was where our wedding was going to be. The food was delicious! I cannot tell you how many of our guests came to us and told us how good the food was, which was so nice to hear! The whole staff that day was amazing. My 3 yr old twin nephews/ring bearers were crying for Mac n cheese and one of the servers went right into the kitchen and got them mac n cheese, totally saving us from a toddler meltdown during dinner, even though it was not on my menu. It rained that day and one of the staff members took the time to drive us around the grounds in a golf cart so we could take advantage of the beautiful scenery and get amazing pictures! The servers were so friendly and interacted with the guests! I am so happy I found Waterloo Village when I was looking for a wedding venue. I could not imagine being married anywhere else!

Waterloo Village was the perfect venue! It is very much the opposite of the typical wedding factory, and was exactly what we were looking for in terms of setting, charm, and down-to-earth rustic beauty. The food was delicious and the presentation was exactly what we had envisioned. My husband insists that I also mention that having local beers on tap was awesome. We received so many compliments from all of our wedding guests! The staff was very helpful, attentive, and dedicated to having our day run smoothly without any added stress. She was also there to make sure our day ran smoothly, and even managed to bring Julia the goat out for cocktail hour! My husband and I got married at Waterloo Village on 10/13/18. I cannot begin to explain how perfect our day and entire experience was. From the first day that we went to the venue and met with Maria we knew that this was our venue. The open house that we went to was comprehensive and Maria was quick to give us a tour around the property. We fell in love immediately. From the meeting house to all of the beautiful options for ceremony locations we knew it was the place for us.
I highly recommend doing the tasting- they have all couples getting married that year or first half of the year and it really is like a party itself. You get to try all of the amazing food and also mingle with other couples which was great.
Our planner was Christina and she was great. I have to say, in the beginning there was not a ton of communication (we booked about a year and 10 months before our date) which was a little nerve wracking but honestly there is little need for communication up front because they have everything taken care of and everything was absolutely perfect the day of. Christina was communicative in the weeks leading up to the wedding which is the most important part. She pulled everything off so effortlessly and perfectly the day of the wedding. Our flower girl fell in some mud in her white dress and Christina immediately brought her back to the bathroom and fixed her up as if nothing ever happened! She was always nearby in case we had anything come up during the reception that we needed her for.
For our day, we got married in the mule barn which was a dream! The mule is so beautiful with little to no decorations and was a great indoor option as we were a little nervous about the fall weather. The cocktail hour was a big hit- we picked one station (the BBQ in a jar) and people raved about it. We had 150 people and I think the one station was fine for that amount of people.
The reception was flawless! The food was amazing and the wait staff, bartender, and captain were all so friendly and accommodating. We had the braised short ribs, chicken and a salmon dish. All were delicious- the short ribs were my favorite! We did the cannoli station for dessert and it was the perfect addition to our delicious wedding cake. We also did a grooms cake that the staff decorated so perfectly! I think it even got more comments than our actual wedding cake!
Overall the day at Waterloo Village could not have been more perfect. We wish we could do it all over again and are trying to convince all of our friends to get married here so we can go to another wedding as a guest! Job well done by Jam Catering and the entire staff at Waterloo! -

My now husband and I loved Waterloo Village from the moment we arrived upon visiting it for the first time. We knew it would be the ideal place to showcase New Jersey's natural beauty for our fall wedding. Overall, the planning process was very relaxed and easy for us and we trusted that the venue would take good care of us, which they did. The staff was on point on the day of our wedding and Maria and Tessa checked in on me often while I was getting ready to make sure I was happy and comfortable. Many of our guests stopped to tell us how lovely and unique the venue was. We had a wonderful day and would recommend Waterloo to any couples looking for a simple, lovely venue. -

It was the most supremely beautiful venue a rustic bride with a love of bistro lights, fire pits, lawn games, and a thirst for a "different" kind of venue could ask for. I got to work with Robyn from JAM Catering on planning everything from the table settings to the wedding cake design, and having one central contact for so much of the wedding was a godsend. JAM has DELICIOUS food and the open bar package was very reasonable and clutch. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was absolutely perfect! So i have to preface this with the fact that I have not had my wedding here yet but I am in the process of planning mine for next August. The number one thing that really made me pick Waterloo over other places is that pretty much everything is included! Decorations, catering on site, center pieces etc. Maria, who was our main contact, has always been so welcoming to us during multiple visits to the venue and many questions through email. I love not having to worry about purchasing center pieces or finding a family member to collect all the decorations at the end of the night. It truly has made planning much easier for me!
