  My fiancé got my engagement ring here (we reset a family ring). The staff were extremely professional, helpful, and caring. We've gone back several times sense to purchase additional pieces and to have my ring steam cleaned. They have great prices and there's never a long wait! I've heard that this location may be closing, so I hope that if they do, that the staff transfers to one of their other locations.

  Our wedding rings were perfect! We had the best customer service with Walter Bauman Jewelers. They really came through and spent a lot of time with us while we were deciding on our rings.

  I dealt with Theresa when picking out both my engagement ring and both wedding bands. The quality of their jewelery is top notch, they only deal with the best! Theresa took the time with me trying on engagement rings to find what I loved. She also helped me later on pick out my wedding band to perfectly accent my engagement ring. She even took out the book of all wedding bands for men and took my phone and took photos of approximately 10 rings for me to show my finance to see which one he likes. She is great and oh so down to earth and friendly. She takes such pride in her work and it shows. I recommend ANYONE going there and asking for Theresa, you will best the best jewelry IN THE WORLD for the best price and the best professional servie from her!!!! LOVE HER!

  We went to several local jewelery stores looking for our rings... I knew I wanted channeled diamonds but everywhere I went the prices were outragious!! We walked into Walter Bauman and their prices were amazing!! Same ring I saw for $1500 was $625!!

  We got my engagement ring here and the Clifton commons store. I had my dream ring in mind forever and they were one of the few stores that actually carried the stones in stock to make it up (my ring is a three stone ring, emerald cut with baguettes on each side). They also had some interesting settings. I was able to get a beautiful claw-foot setting for the main stone, something I didn't see anywhere else. The stone is so secure in that setting that i never worry about it. It is also a beautiful, unique setting that people often admire. The price was reasonable, sometimes even half of what any vendor in the malls wanted for a similar ring.
  
  We have also bought other pieces of jewelry from them, all of which we have been happy with. They also have "estate sales" so you can often get unique pieces that way. Sign up for their mailing list - I get 10% off coupons for the estate sales at least once a month, sometimes once a week.

  My family has been purchasing jewelry from Walter Bauman in Short Hills for years and it was the first place I went to browse engagement rings. I found The One and my fiance purchased it there. It is a cushion cut diamond in a halo setting with three small bands. Since our engagement in the summer of 2012, the corner diamonds on the halo have fallen out THREE times, including the day after he proposed (and the most recent being last night). When I called Walter Bauman after we returned from the vacation where we got engaged, the staff made me feel like my concern was silly. The jeweler wasn't in their Short Hills location today so they told me to go to their West Orange store, where I went and they didn't have the diamond in the right size. They referred me to their Union store. The jeweler there was very nice and apologized for what had happened. When the diamond fell out the next time, I skipped Short Hills and went straight back to Union because I knew they would help me. The jeweler did fix my ring, but he suggested that I go back to Short Hills and tell them I needed a new setting- mine was clearly defective. I called Short Hills and the man I spoke with told me that I should bring the ring in so that their jeweler could fix it. When I arrived in the store, he told me that Short Hills jeweler was "more equipped" to fix the problem than the man that had been so nice to me in Union. I left that day hoping that would be the last time I had to go back, but last night, I noticed that my ring was missing the corner halo diamond again.
  
  I work in an office, so I'm not constantly banging my ring around. I really would've expected it to be more sturdy. I have to take my ring off to do everything- dishes, laundry, shower, sleep. It disappoints me that a ring my husband spent so much money on isn't one that I can proudly wear all the time. I love it, of course, for what it symbolizes, but I wish we would've bought it elsewhere.
