A Dream Wedding Venue

Walnut Hill is a dream wedding venue, with an amazing owner. Amanda (owner) was so easy to work with. We were the first couple to book with her and you would have never guessed. She was organized, thoughtful, informational, and so kind. She was more than just the owner of the venue for us, she really gave great ideas for our wedding too. My husband and I saw walnut hill transform from the foundation/construction site to the wonderful venue it is today. I couldn’t have wished for a better place to get married.

Walnut Hill is a dream wedding venue, with an amazing owner. Amanda (owner) was so easy to work with. We were the first couple to book with her and you would have never guessed. Most beautiful venue

THIS PLACE WAS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL.
Amanda the Owner of this place, was so good to us and we had such a good time planning this at her venue. It is so worth the money and it made such an unforgettable night.

Stunning venue!

I can't say enough amazing things about Walnut Hill, Amanda and her team! They go above and beyond to make everything so special and amazing and I just appreciate the friendship with Amanda and how comfortable she made us feel. This venue is so stunning and if I could go back and do it all over again I'd do it in a heartbeat! If you're looking for a spacious and over all beautiful location with so many great options for a ceremony spot this is the venue for you!

Perfect Wedding Venue

Walnut Hill is truly a perfect wedding venue. Between the spacious and beautiful house to get ready in, to the multiple gorgeous ceremony locations, to the perfect reception barn...it was exactly what we were looking for! There was off and on rain on our wedding day and we didn't stress one bit because of all the options on this property. There is a covered ceremony patio, a wrap around covered front porch, and a covered patio for cocktail hour.

On top of all that, we got married during the Covid craziness and Walnut Hill was so wonderful to work with. They were understanding and helped us with the rescheduling and trying to figure out how we could still have the best experience possible.

We have and will continue to recommend this venue!

Beautiful Venue and Amazing Team

I cannot speak highly enough about Walnut Hill, Amanda, and Jacqueline. To be honest, the beauty of the property speaks for itself and I was fortunate enough to secure the venue for my entire wedding weekend, which provided an awesome environment for me to socialize with not only my family, but also my bridesmaids. The venue has a spacious bridal suite, suitable for both hair and makeup as well as a groom's suite situated far enough away from the bridal suite that there was no fear of run-ins. We were one of the first few weddings at Walnut Hill, and they are already doing such a great job! Not only was the venue exactly what we were looking for style-wise, but Amanda was so easy to work with. We absolutely could not have picked a more perfect and stunning venue for our wedding day. It is the perfect mix of modern-farmhouse, with such a beautiful white barn and plantation house that photograph incredibly. The site also has so many different options for backgrounds in photos which made my bridal portraits and wedding photos so beautiful. It is the perfect mix of modern-farmhouse, with such a beautiful white barn and plantation house that photograph incredibly. The site also has so many different options for backgrounds in photos which made my bridal portraits and wedding photos so beautiful. We rented the venue for the full weekend, so we were able to have our rehearsal dinner there. After rehearsal, I spent the night with my bridesmaids in the plantation house, which was not only a fun night with my best friends that made me so much more relaxed the night before my wedding, but we also had our hair and makeup artists come in the morning, and since we were already there we didn't have to wake up super early to get to the venue and start getting ready! The day of, the bridal suite and grooms suite being in totally separate sides of the house made things SO much easier on me so my groom wouldn't see me before the ceremony. Having the kitchen centralized in the house, we were able to have breakfast and lunch items down there for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to snack on while getting ready and before the ceremony. Kind and flexible service. We had a beautiful wedding here! I (bride) walked across the bridge which made for a dramatic entrance. Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was.

No Brainer!!

Walnut Hill is perfect. Having two houses (one for girls, one for guys) to get ready in is a HUGE bonus. The property itself is gorgeous and provided so many areas for great photos. Our ceremony was at the Lakeside Gardens and we were obsessed from the moment we saw it. Great rain plan areas too!! Highly recommend, we received many compliments!

Dream Venue

The minute I stepped foot onto the property I knew it was the place I wanted to say I do. I had pictured the most beautiful day with there ceremony at the open air chapel (swoon), cocktail hour outside and utilizing the sugar shack for a bar, and reception in the barn. WELL Mother nature had other plans. Luckily Amanda assured me it would all still be beautiful and the most magical day ever. SHE WAS RIGHT. she held the umbrella over me the entire time I had to be outside, and also held my train so it didn't get trashed. This place is the best. And so many options! LOVE IT!

Get Married at Walnut Hill

The best decision I made in my planning process was booking Walnut Hill as the location to pledge our love to each other. The owner, Amanda, is so sweet and easy to work with. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and offers so many different options to make sure your vision comes to life. There are multiple different options for ceremony location, a beautiful reception barn, and an incredible house to enjoy the morning of getting ready. I recommend this venue to all future brides!

Walnut Hill was the perfect place for our wedding ! The best part about this location is the size (openness ) and the option to use the plantation house . There are several beautiful locations to choose from to get married , ATLEAST 3 locations outside , as well as a beautiful pavilion if you want an inside ceremony . Walnut hill is a naturally beautiful location including a big pond with a fountain and alot of landscape that was captured in our wedding photos beautifully ! The Perfect Venue

Walnut Hill is the perfect wedding venue! There are so many different options for your big day and you can't go wrong! Walking on the property is like finding your own oasis in Raleigh. It is so beautiful and unlike any other venue we have found in the area. Amanda and her team go above and beyond for all their couples. You can really tell how much they love each and every person that gets married there and will do anything to make your dreams come true!

Walnut Hill is the perfect wedding venue! There are so many different options for your big day and you can't go wrong! Walking on the property is like finding your own oasis in Raleigh. Brides- book Walnut Hill immediately!

We are getting married on 9/26/2020 at Walnut Hill. Although our wedding is still 6 months away, we can already tell how beautiful our day will be thanks to this wonderful team. Amanda the owner is accommodating, easygoing and really cares about her couples. There have been a couple instances when I wanted to go check out the venue unexpectedly with my parents while they were in town last minute, and without a doubt Amanda invited us with open arms. The open vendor policy also attracted us to Walnut Hill. We were really able to make this wedding our own and not feel like we were forced to pick from a handful of vendors. This venue has multiple ceremony...

We are getting married on 9/26/2020 at Walnut Hill. Although our wedding is still 6 months away, we can already tell how beautiful our day will be thanks to this wonderful team. BEST.HIDDEN.SECRET. From the second we met Amanda, we fell in love with her family & Walnut Hill. We had a list of venues to visit and Walnut Hill was the first one - we booked our date on the spot (it's that good!). The grounds are stunning and have so many areas for your guests to mingle (adios being stuck at the same table all night) - we had guests gathering in the grass half round by the lake, around the fire pit for a smores bar, and around the barn under their pretty lights. Amanda is a dream to work with - good vibes all the way! Her & her family were more than accommodating with our questions...

I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The people there only want you to be happy and have the best day of your life. The fact that you have the whole house to get ready in is one of the best features. We never felt crammed, plenty of space for the bridal parties to get ready and spend the day. And the grounds?? Perfect Venue!

Our son's wedding at Walnut Hill in April was the first to use the new barn wedding venue. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience, and our dealings with Amanda, Tom and Lisa Williamson, the owners of WH. They helped steer us to great wedding planners, a rehearsal dinner site, etc. Because the weather cooperated, we were able to have the ceremony outside in front of the main house in front of the beautiful centuries' old oak tree. The wedding experience comes with a night for the wedding party in the two sections of the main house. There are separate bride and groom quarters, conveniently set up for getting ready for the wedding and taking photographs. The...

Our son's wedding at Walnut Hill in April was the first to use the new barn wedding venue. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience, and our dealings with Amanda, Tom and Lisa Williamson, the owners of WH. They helped steer us to great wedding planners, a rehearsal dinner site, etc. Because the weather cooperated, we were able to have the ceremony outside in front of the main house in front of the beautiful centuries' old oak tree. The wedding experience comes with a night for the wedding party in the two sections of the main house. There are separate bride and groom quarters, conveniently set up for getting ready for the wedding and taking photographs. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, glasses, and kitchenware. The house is beautifully decorated, rebuilt on the site of the original 1775 farmhouse. It is surrounded by farms, "Oreo Cows" and "Jerusalem donkeys" across the street in a rural setting that is technically in Raleigh, but really a half hour east of the town. The "barn" was built this past year as a wedding venue, and has electronics, screens set up at one end, a kitchen, and 200 ft. of opened wall that looks out towards a pond, gazebo, two foot bridges, and woods in the background; the wall can be closed in case of inclement weather. There is also a second story at one end of the barn with a balcony. The interior of the barn is absolutely stunning with gorgeous chandeliers and strings of lights suspended from the ceiling rafters. Every detail is exquisite and in keeping with the elegant barn style country setting. The Williamson's go out of their way to make everything work smoothly. They recently invested a lot in plantings, sidewalks, an outside patio with a brick fireplace, parking lot, and a golf cart to ferry non-ambulatory guests from house to barn (less than 100 yards). This is a venue that the bride and groom, family, and guests will long remember.

Dream Wedding at Walnut Hill!

Walnut Hill is a spectacular venue! Great views with each of its on-site locations. For me, some of the wedding planning stress was alleviated because of how beautiful this venue is. Since most of our guests were from other states and countries, this venue is a great representation of the beauty of North Carolina. The varied backgrounds made for stunning photos, as someone who loves pictures, I am beyond pleased with how they turned out!

The groom and his men throughly enjoyed getting ready in their own quarters, air conditioned, with access to the kitchen as well.

The Barn Pavilion was perfect spot for dinner and a night of dancing. We ended up having almost 150 guests show up, and there was plenty of room for everyone to comfortably eat and then dance the night away. The porch, courtyard, and gazebo on the lake were great locations for guests to catch some air and enjoy the calm while the Barn kept the high energy dance party- perfect location for all types of guests!

Amanda is a true delight to work with! She is responsive, has a responsible team, and her knowledge with event planning along with Walnut Hill’s layout was so helpful with setting up our wedding.

Choosing Walnut Hill for our special day was the best choice, we are so pleased with the cherished memories.

Was amazing

Amanda was amazing to work with. We had some issues the day before that were out of everyone's control and Amanda was amazingly flexible and helped us out! The Venue is GORGEOUS and our pictures turned out amazing because of it. They really made our wedding day amazing and we cannot thank them enough! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get married in the triangle area!

Amanda was amazing to work with. We had some issues the day before that were out of everyone's control and Amanda was amazingly flexible and helped us out! We got married at Walnut Hill in May and had an absolutely incredible experience. The venue is unreal and Amanda is beyond helpful. It's such a beautiful place and the people make it even better! You can save a ton of money on decorations because the venue is naturally awesome. Definitely get married at Walnut Hill!

Amazing Location, Great Price

I had my wedding in April 2019, and Walnut Hill was the perfect wedding spot. The location is gorgeous, and they have a large farm house that is perfect for prepping in. There were no mosquitos, and the temperature was perfect on our special day. They had an awesome sound system for our DJ, and a large projector. Amanda, Tom, and Lisa (the owners of the location) were super accommodating and responsive to all of our questions. The location is also perfect because it is a) historic, b) in a quiet farm area, c) only a 15 minute drive from Raleigh, and d) across the street from a farm with a few adorable oreo cows (although both properties are...

There were no mosquitos, and the temperature was perfect on our special day. They had an awesome sound system for our DJ, and a large projector. Amanda, Tom, and Lisa (the owners of the location) were super accommodating and responsive to all of our questions. The location is also perfect because it is a) historic, b) in a quiet farm area, c) only a 15 minute drive from Raleigh, and d) across the street from a farm with a few adorable oreo cows (although both properties are so huge that you will probably need to cross the street to be able to glimpse the cows).

Overall, my friends and family were really impressed with the whole wedding. I think it was definitely the right choice and will be very memorable to them. The price is a steal too.

My one recommendation for anyone planning their wedding is to stay at the farmhouse the night before, and rent the farmhouse for one or two additional nights. It's an incredible location. I really wish I had spent more time there!

A joy to work with!

The venue is absolutely stunning. Walnut Hill was so easy to work with and let us make our day unique to us as a couple. Amanda's help and suggestions made my wedding a huge success. I recommend this wedding venue to all brides for the most important day of their life

They made us feel like we were family

We were supposed to have our wedding on the beach but because of the hurricane we had to move it last minute and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a barn wedding. There are multiple places to get married at the venue with a ton of beautiful scenery options for photos. The main house is also a very nice place to get ready if you are looking for that option. It was nice that both of us could get ready in the same place. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it!

Beautiful new venue!

We had our wedding at Walnut Hill mid-November 2019. It was absolutely beautiful! Amanda was flexible with us as we waited out the weather to decide if we wanted to have our ceremony indoors or outdoors. We ended up deciding to do outdoors by the pond, and it was absolutely beautiful! Having the fire on outside all day helped keep our guests warm. Walnut Hill is a beautiful venue that I would highly recommend! It was the perfect space for our day, and I’m so glad we stumbled upon this new venue during our wedding planning!

Dream Come True

Walnut Hill was a dream come true for our wedding day! From the day we met the owners daughter for a tour to the day we said “I do”, they were an absolute dream to work with. There is no venue in the Raleigh/surrounding area that offers all that they do for the price. This is the most beautiful venue that I have ever seen no matter the season or weather.
