When Tim and I first checked out Walnut Grove we fell in love at first sight. We loved the dreamy, rustic and earthy outdoor wedding vibe. We picked the perfect April wedding spot for our special day. Michele, the venue coordinator is super friendly and professional. We definitely recommend this wedding venue to our close friends and family who are planning any future weddings. -

Beautiful and everything we wanted!
We had our wedding here March 23, 2023 and cannot say enough how perfect everything came together. It had been raining all the way up until our rehearsal the day before. Michele and Katie (our coordinator) made sure to update us throughout the week as we were all watching the weather. Although some of the grounds were wet, it didn't effect us at all! The sun came out for our ceremony and although the temperature dropped at night, there were heaters set out to keep everyone warm. The day of the wedding went so smoothly and the venue was so wonderfully decorated. If you're looking for a rustic theme, they have it all with beautiful wooden tables and chairs as well as wine barrels. Michele and Katie were very responsive and we appreciated their suggestions and guidance in areas we weren't familiar with. Almost all of our vendors came from their vendor recommended list and we couldn't be happier with all of their service. The catering staff was outstanding and we loved how they made sure that we got drinks and hors d'oeuvres even while we were taking pictures. Can't say enough about how amazing they are! Would highly recommend! -

Before we booked Walnut Grove, they were very responsive, and it was easy to schedule a time to tour.
We had our wedding in August, and it was absolutely gorgeous at the venue.
They are partnered with Command Performance Catering, which made it easy, since we didn’t have to shop around for a caterer.
I would definitely recommend this venue! -

Outdoor, Elegant, and Naturally Stunning Venue north of LA
If you're a couple looking for an all outdoor, stunning, and naturally elegant venue a bit north of the LA area, look no further. Book Walnut Grove ASAP!! No matter where you stand/sit/dance at your wedding, your view of the world around you is breathtaking. We've been married only a week and still have guests and those not in attendance (but have seen photos online) RAVE that this is most beautiful venue they've ever seen. My husband and I couldn't agree more. If you visit their website, you can a decent vision of what your day might look like, but I highly highly recommend visiting the location in person. There are so many unique, remarkable elements about this venue that I can't even begin to put into words. For those of you worried about not being able to bring in your own catering, that should be the least of your concern if you choose Walnut Grove. Their partnership with Command Performance Catering is everything you could want from drinks, to apps, dinner, and dessert. They've got it all and do it in style! Although we live in Chicago and planning a wedding from afar was a bit challenging at times, the best decision we made for our wedding was to chose Walnut Grove for our venue. I promise if you visit the location in person, read other reviews, and view photos/videos captured at Walnut Grove, your mind will be made- Walnut Grove is the only choice.

Our wedding at Walnut Grove was absolutely perfect. The venue is gorgeous on its own and Michele and Katie were so helpful throughout the planning process! The caterer, command performance, and the catering manager Joe are also amazing and everything turned out even better than we hoped. This venue is a hidden gem. -

Walnut Grove is not only breathtaking but affordable! I loved that it was an open layout to the venue and that you could didn’t have to have completely separate sections for each moment. This is an absolute must to go see if you are planning a wedding. Everyone is so friendly (especially Miabella weddings). The bridal suite is perfect to hang with your girls and but your wedding gown on. My favorite thing about this venue is because it’s so beautiful, an abundant amount of decorations isn’t necessary, all you need is personal touches! All my photos turned out great because of the backdrop. This is the perfect place to get married. -

These guys are seriously a DREAM TEAM. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was perfect. The food, music, pictures, venue... everything spectacular. I had compliments all night on everything. The Walnut Grove is absolutely stunning and was a fairytale for us. Hands down beautiful and amazing. Worth every cent!

My husband and I knew that Walnut Grove was the perfect place to get married when we first visited the venue. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff made the wedding process so easy.
Our guests had a great time and mentioned how beautiful of a place our venue was and the food by Command Performance was the best wedding food they've had!
Thank you for everything you've done to make our special day even more special. If we could do it again, we would :) -

Marissa Sent on 10/10/2012I knew the moment I saw the Walnut grove that this was the place I wanted to be married at. Not only are the grounds gorgeous, but the service was exceptional! Michele was an absolute godsend not only was she responsive but beyond helpful and flexible when I arrived more than an hour late due to hair and makeup. She was able to reevaluate our timeline and move everything around so things ran so smoothly. Eveyrone complimented us on how helpful she was! The food was excellent!!! We had the basic BBQ package and so many people told us it was the best wedding food they had every had! Get the jalapeno mac n' cheese its extra but it's soooo worth it. The servers were all so sweet too they even called me by my new last name which felt extra special. Don't hesitate in booking the Walnut Grove there is not one bad thing I can think of. -

Given the property had just undergone renovations, they were offering the venue at a promotional rate we could not turn down. We booked the site that day! We enjoyed our interactions with Michele Spring from Mia Bella Weddings so much at the showcase that we also decided to book her as our day-of wedding coordinator. Throughout the wedding planning process, Michele Spring made herself available to us whenever we had questions. Although she was hired only as our day-of wedding coordinator, she went above and beyond to ensure we were as stress free as possible from the moment we booked her services. We found it beneficial to meet with Command Performance Catering before the wedding to clarify everything we were getting in the promotional package we chose, and it was helpful that CPC was available via e-mail to address any questions or concerns after the meeting.
The wedding day turned out to be everything we dreamed it would be! Nothing ever goes 100% according to plan, but Michele Spring dealt with everything in an incredibly professional manner. After the wedding ceremony was over, CPC made sure our entire bridal party was presented with appetizers and drinks while our guests attended the cocktail hour. CPC made sure my husband and I were served dinner while our guests got up and served themselves at the buffet. Although we only got to sample the dinner (because we went off to take more pictures), it tasted absolutely delicious. CPC also cut and served our wedding cake at no additional cost. The employees of CPC were all dressed appropriately and behaved in a very professional manner. Lastly, it is imperative to note that Walnut Grove allowed us to bring our own alcohol which was a huge money saver. We paid for the majority of our wedding expenses and were concerned about being able to host a beautiful event on a budget. However, now that the wedding is over, we can say with 100% certainty that we have no regrets about choosing Walnut Grove for our wedding venue. Our only complaint is that the wedding had to end at 10:00 p.m. due to Ventura County noise restrictions. Everyone was having such a good time that we could have partied until midnight! We continue to receive compliments from our guests about their experience at our wedding. Walnut Grove and CPC, their exclusive caterer, are highly recommended! If one wants to ensure a well-coordinated event, book Michele Spring from Mia Bella Weddings! -

Elizabeth Sent on 10/13/2011My husband is in the Army, so we got married in a smaller ceremony (July 2009) before he was deployed. Since then, we've always known that we wanted a bigger wedding in which all of our family and friends could attend. While searching the greater LA area for wedding venues, I stumbled across Walnut Grove. At first I just passed on it, but when I stumbled upon it again, I figured why not call and make an appointment to visit. The only thing that confused me was the fact that it said use the Underwood Farms entrance. What? It's part of the farm? No, it's hidden through the trees...literally a grove. haha.
I finally visited the location with my mother-in-law and we both fell in love. The price was right, the location was beautiful and Michele Spring (the contact for Walnut Grove and part of Mia Bella Weddings) was amazing. Unfortunately, she was not available to be my day of coordinator, but her acciociate, Monique Prieto was availble.
I love planning weddings and events, but it's always harder to plan it yourself when it's your own event. Monique was absolutely wonderful! Even though we only hired her as a day of coordinator, she answered questions and helped me along the way. Oh yeah, I forgot to say, I was in Germany for the majority of the time I was planning this. We only ever talked about two times in person.
The "wedding" day turned out to be a dream come true. There are really no words. It was so much fun and we were so happy. Now, we all know nothing ever goes 100% according to plan (i.e. I forgot the hanger for my wedding dress pictures), but Monique dealt with everything in an incredibly professional manner. I really could not have done it without her and her partner Erin.
After the wedding ceremony was over, Command Performance Catering (CPC) made sure our entire wedding party was presented with appetizers and drinks while the rest of our guests attended the cocktail hour. After a drink and some snacking, we took the rest of our family pictures. Once they were dismissed, my husband and I went to take our pictures. After the grand entrance and first dance, CPC made sure my husband and I were served dinner while our guests got up and served themselves at the buffet. The dinner was amazing. I heard nothing but good things. It was a modern California take on BBQ. So delicious. CPC also cut and served our wedding pie (yes we had pie :)) at no additional cost. The employees of CPC were all dressed appropriately and behaved in a very professional manner. Joe was amazing and so easy to work with. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
Something that was also great about CPC and Walnut Grove, you're allowed to bring your own alcohol, and let me tell you, that can be a HUGE money saver. Our only complaint is that the wedding had to end at 10:00 p.m. due to Ventura County noise restrictions. Everyone was having such a good time, I was sad to have to turn off the music.
My husband and I highly recommend Walnut Grove at Tierra Rejada Ranch as a wedding venue, Command Performance as a caterer and Monique Prieto as a day of coordinator. We heard nothing but good things from our guests about the venue, food and the wedding itself. I am so happy we finally got to have our bigger wedding :).

I spent a lot of time researching outdoor venues in the LA area, and The Walnut Grove just had the best of everything--beautiful scenery, big trees, cohesive feeling ceremony and reception space, AMAZING staff/vendors, and value! I knew that it was the right place for our wedding the moment we set foot on site for the informational meeting.
I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to have an outdoor wedding. The venue itself is so beautiful that you really don't need much decoration--I went as minimalist as possible and everything still looked very elegant, fun, and modern. It is also a very well-designed space. I liked how the ceremony space was connected to the rest of the venue, but separate enough that during the ceremony it felt very intimate and open because you are literally in the grove of walnut trees. The reception space is very well-designed and equipped--it is almost fully paved, making it very accessible to our elderly guests and others with mobility difficulties. The twinkly lights and fireplace during the evening added a romantic touch that everyone felt.
I don't have anything negative to say about this venue--Michele, Joe, and their staff are very willing to meet your needs and work with you to find the best solution.
If you decide to go with Michele's wedding planning services through Mia Bella, I would highly recommend it!! We had the pleasure of working with Katie, who I could not praise more highly. She made sure the entire event went off without a hitch and was so flexible during the reception with switching things around when timing got tight. If anything happened that wasn't supposed to, my husband and I had no idea because Katie kept everything under such good control! THANK YOU KATIE!!
We have been married for just over a month and a half now, and we still have people complimenting the venue and the wedding because it truly was our dream day. -

We had an amazing experience having our wedding at Walnut Grove. Unfortunately, we had rain on our big day, but Michele and the Walnut Grove team rallied together to make the day spectacular. Joe from CPC and Michele were very organized with helping us get a tent and have a back up plan. In the end, although the venue looked different than we had initially anticipated due to the large tent, it turned out beautifully. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself and all of our guests kept commenting on that!
Throughout the wedding and even for weeks after, guests kept commenting on how delicious the food was! Command Performance Catering is the contracted caterer. At first we were a little annoyed that there was an exclusive caterer, but it ended up working out very well.
Our only complaint overall is that it seems like they nickel and dime you for every little thing that you would think would come with a venue...cocktail tables, a shelf to hold the alcohol behind the bar, getting more than 2 hours at the venue before the start of the ceremony, etc. -

My fiancé and I met with Michelle on our venue tour and it was such a great experience! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the way it is set up is awesome since you have the ranch to yourself for your wedding day. The bridal suite was somewhat disappointing because of the size, but overall this venue is very much a contender for our wedding. Thanks Michelle for being so great and making sure everything we need can be accommodated :) -

Michele and the whole team are great to work with and are true professionals. I did not need to worry about a thing on the wedding day and everything went perfectly. I would highly recommend this venue! The other plus is that it did not take a lot of extra decorating because the venue is so beautiful just as it is!
