Even though I didn’t schedule a bridal trial, they completely understood my vision and delivered the exact look I wanted for my wedding day.

Shajara was so great! She immediately made me feel comfortable and did such a great job on my makeup! I’m not a full coverage makeup girl on any day but Shajara did such an amazing job giving me a soft glam look where I could still see myself. On the day of I had a dreaded pimple, but I didn’t even panic because I knew she was going to do what needed to be done! This makeup didn’t budge the entire day or night. She was so much fun to talk to and I would absolutely work with her again to get glammed up.

Shajara and her team (Jian and Nikki) made my wedding absolutely perfect. Booking her for my hair and makeup trial as well as the wedding were super easy and I left satisfied both times. I received so many compliments on my look on my big day and my bridesmaids did as well. Shajara certainly helped me out when it came to picking my hairstyle during the trial (because I was frazzled at that point of the process) and her patience helped a large weight lift from my shoulders. I worked with Shay for my fall engagement shoot, and the experience from beginning to end was incredible. She was flexible and accommodating when my location changed, and helped me bring my inspiration to life perfectly! These baddies SLAY- Shajara & her team at Voga were absolutely wonderful from the beginning of our engagement in early 2019 to our wedding day in May of 2021. COVID hit 2 months before our original wedding date in 2020 and we inevitably had to postpone, cancel and replan everything 3 different times. Shajara couldn’t have been more understanding and accommodating every time our plans had to change last minute which was such a HUGE help & relief during all the pandemic craziness. Awesome ladies!
These ladies made me feel at ease when I went for the trial appointment. They traveled to the venue and were on time and courteous just like the trial. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing hair and makeup in the area!

Simply the best!
I loved my makeup and had a blast getting ready with Shajara and her team! She is a a wonderful person and she does amazing makeup and hair. I didn't have a vision for what I wanted and somehow she made it perfect with little to no direction. A++ book her now stop thinking about it!!

So pleasant to work with!
Shay came to our hotel room morning of the wedding. She came alone; however, was up to the challenge of me and my three bridesmaids. She did both our hair and makeup and gave each of us exactly what we wanted. I did a trial run with her, and then completely went from I want to look reserved to I want drama! She delivered! She is so sweet and personable and I’m so glad I decided to go with her. My wedding morning was so relaxing because of her. Thank you Shay for making me and my girls all feel so beautiful on our big day! You are the best!

One happy bride!
Shajara and Latoya did a great job with me, my bridesmaids, mom and mother in laws make up. They were extremely attentive, patient and took into account each ladies individual requests. Plus, Shajara and Latoya were a joy to be around! Made me feel so at ease on my big day.

Shajara was a complete professional and so sweet. She did my daughters hair and make-up exactly as they requested and it was even more beautiful than they could have ever imagined. We can't wait to have her do our hair and make-up again. Wouldn't attend an event without seeing her first. You are in very good hands if you get the chance to have Shajara work her magic on you. I probably wear makeup all of 10 times each year, but I love having it done for our family photos. Shay understands the look I want and always delivers...in record time! I have little ones and a busy schedule, so I usually give her a small time frame to make me up. She does a great job of meeting my requests in the limited time frame I allow each time. I'd highly recommend her!

Voga Beauty did my bridal party make up for my June 2018 wedding. I cannot imagine a better way to have started my wedding day than with Shae and team. They came with amazing energy and were so committed to helping me celebrate my marriage. They stayed on scheduled and managed to make sure that every bridesmaid was 100% satisfied with their look. They also ensured that I was bridal perfect. They asked questions during my initial consultation about my overall vision for bridal party makeup and they stayed committed to that vision. I loved working with Voga Beauty for my wedding. I did a trial with Shajara (Shay) and LaToya. Day of I had LaToya for makeup and Yasmine for hair. They were all so professional, sweet, and accommodating. Also very talented!! I felt catered to throughout the whole process. They did such an amazing job with me and my bridesmaids. They can handle a variety of skin tones, hair textures, styles, etc! I definitely recommend them! They were so great to work with! I have nothing but positive things to say! I was so happy with the hair and makeup by Voga Beauty. I got exactly the look I wanted - thanks to her flexibility, I was able to get my bridal portraits done at the time of the bridal trial. I chose airbrush makeup and I was thrilled with the way my skin looked on our pictures. I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. Her team brought a beautiful energy to the room the morning my girls and I were getting ready and even worked through a time crunch when the fire alarm went off at our hotel! Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and value and I would 100% recommend for any bridal look.

I've had my hair and makeup done for several events over the years and I normally don't look good with a lot of makeup on (I wear minimal makeup normally), but I felt completely flawless on my wedding day. From our first trial to the big day, Shae always said it was about enhancing your natural beauty (and big eyelashes, of course!!) and that's exactly what she did for me, my bridesmaids, my mother-in-law, and mom. I was "glam" and done up enough for a formal wedding, but still looked like me...and I felt beautiful and confident! She is the type of person who makes it easy to say you don't like something or want something different -- ultimately because she is so talented and can do it all, but only cares about making the bride happy. And she is very reasonably priced compared to others in the area.

I've booked her for more than just my wedding! My sister loved her for her prom as well. Shajara is very charismatic and goes further than simply putting makeup and hair on. She gets along with everyone in the room which truly makes you feel relaxed the entire time (definitely something a bride needs on her big day). Shajara is such a talented makeup artist. When she did my makeup for my birthday, I was completely amazed at how much she nailed the look I was going for. Most of the time when you ask a makeup artist for something in a picture etc they don't even come close. She hit the look dead on! I looked and felt absolutely beautiful on my day! I will continue to use Voga Beauty for as long as she is around and I would refer her to anyone in need.

Sh was incredible! I had her do both my hair and makeup for my wedding and could not have been happier! I do not live in the charlotte area and she was incredibly flexible with her availability when schedule the trial run. We went through both the makeup and hair look. She welcomed feedback the entire time and was so fun to be around. On the day of the wedding, she had the notes I had sent her after my trial on hand and was incredibly prepared even when I was running a little behind (shout out for blow drying my hair for me). You could genuinely tell she loved what she was doing and just wanted me to feel beautiful... which I did! I would highly recommend her for any event... but especially your wedding day!

I was skeptical at first, as they hire contract makeup artists. But our makeup artist, Adrializ was AMAZING. She did a beautiful job on all the girls, and was soooo easy to talk to. Shajara and her team were great to work with. Super easy to talk with and laugh. They did phenomenal work making me and my girls feel absolutely stunning for my special day with hair and makeup. My only negative feedback is that we discussed a few times - a couple of which on my wedding day - to cover up my back tattoo and it never happened. Having an old and what I feel is a now unsightly tattoo on my back covered up was extremely important to me, especially with having an open back dress and my hair in an updo. I didn’t want it in my pictures for such a meaningful day and unfortunately, none of my girls had good enough makeup or tattoo makeup with them to cover it so was left having it visible throughout my wedding and in photos.

The quality was okay. The price left me disappointed. I expected to feel like a movie star. I met once for a hair and makeup trial and ended up paying $450 plus tip for just the trial. If I had done day of too I would have paid 350 more (over 800 total for trial plus day of). It saddens me that I won't get professional hair and makeup for my wedding but I'm not willing to pay that much for something that would look just as good done myself.
They were professional and kind throughout but charge too much.

I wish my experience was better. I booked this off of several recommendations. I also wanted an airbrush service which they advertise. When I got to my trial, I was told that they didn’t have an airbrush machine. The person I was in contact with to organize my needs did not communicate well to her employees. My MOA and Hairstylist were confused on how many girls I had. I was told that I would get an additional MOA and Hairstylist for my wedding day but when only the one each arrived, I was told they couldn’t find anyone available. This was unfortunately never communicated until I asked on my wedding day. My photographer was not able to get bridesmaids photos before the wedding and because my mom and mother in law were still getting hair and makeup done, they were not in the cute pajama photos we took. I am so disappointed about this the most honestly because I can never get this day back. Monet was a great MOA and at the end of the day I looked beautiful. Rasheeda did amazing on my hair although I wouldn’t say she’s very professional. I have really gone back and forth on if I wanted to request a refund because the girls did well but I was overall disappointed with this company and their lack of communication and professionalism and heartbroken over missed moments because they didn’t send the extra people as promised.

I made several attempts to follow up regarding compensation, but communication became unresponsive, and I was ultimately unable to reach the business to resolve the issue.
Professionalism includes both delivering services and honoring payment agreements. I strongly encourage improved communication and accountability for service providers working with this business.

It was a disaster!
Things went badly from the very beginning. We started our search well before the wedding, but of the 30 hair/makeup vendors we contacted, Voga was the ONLY vendor available on our date. There was a good reason for that.
Thank God we did a trial run. The makeup artist and hair stylist that did my daughter's trial were not any of the people on "The Team" you see on their website. From their conversation with each other, we could tell that they were VERY recent beauty school graduates and it showed. Our wedding planner was able to find us a different vendor for hair and we crossed our fingers that Voga's makeup artist would do a better job on the wedding day, but then she abruptly quit. Voga offered us a new trial with a new team, but we no longer had any confidence in this company.
We are so grateful that our wedding planner was able to pull some strings and find us a new vendor for both hair and makeup at the last minute - Be Pretty. They did a fabulous job and my daughter looked absolutely gorgeous on her big day.
All Voga did for us was a trial which revealed two very inexperienced stylists. They offered us a new trial which we turned down. We lost more than $1500. I don't know for sure but suspect that they continue to take on new brides even when their team is already fully booked. Then they hire from the beauty schools for stylists to fill in. I hate losing the $1500 but will be eternally grateful that we didn't get stuck with Voga on the wedding day.

Wedding day ruined
What a waste of money! Paid $1200 for bride, mother of the bride, one bridesmaid and two flower girls. Schedule was to start at 8am, called at 8:15 and stated she was lost and likely not able to make it at all. Went to pick her up about 8 miles away, already behind schedule. First bridesmaid hair took over two hours and was so unflattering took it completely down and started over herself. Mother of the bride took just as long, with the same result. She then proceeded to accuse the small children of head lice, they DID NOT have lice. She said she was overwhelmed and took a 30 min cigarette break. When examining the children again she stated she made a mistake and didn't realize they had eczema. Someone else did one of the girls hair, the bride showed her a picture of what she wanted, it was nothing like what she showed her. She explained she was still a student and hadn't graduated yet.
Time didn't allow for make-up for two people, the time allotted went over by THREE hours. We had to pay the photographer more, we had to pay the officiant more, and we missed our dinner reservations after. We didn't get any family photos due to the rain coming in, which we knew ahead of time but had no control due to hair and makeup.
All this and was only offered a refund of the two people that didn't get make-up done. What an insult.
Be aware ladies of this shady company, I have to believe that most of the reviews are fake, (look closely, they hide all the negative reviews)
I will be in touch with an attorney about receiving more of a refund than what was "offered"
You only get this day once, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
