With COVID, we had so many uncertainties but I knew our florals would be amazing. Courtney and her team did NOT disappoint. She made my dreams a reality-something I never knew possible. About 2 weeks before the wedding we had to cut our guest count from 150 to 50 due to COVID restrictions and Courtney had to redo all of the plans she originally had for our reception tables. Even though I wish all of our guest could have joined us, the end product of her imagination and work was something I've never seen. She was so patient with me, my ideas and changes, and I honestly looked to her for advice on navigating being positive and continuing forward throughout the pandemic. She was so thoughtful-I just received an ornament containing flowers from my bouquet and the ribbon from it as well, after I accidentally left it at our venue the night of our wedding. I will cherish that gift and what she did for me for the rest of my life. You gotta check her out!! -

I cannot say enough positive things about Courtney and Violets Are Blue. She did all the florals for my June 2019 wedding. Courtney is extremely talented and provides florals to be reasonable within your budget. Courtney was available to me for planning meetings and very responsive to emails. She was organized and open to modifications throughout our planning process. She truly listens to a bride's vision and wants swatches of colors to get the perfect color match for her florals. Her floral arrangements WOW'd us! From the bouquets, to the centerpieces, to the garlands, fireplace mantels, and cake decoration…all of her floral designs were beyond our expectations. Her rental products including vases, candles, and gold frames also added to the overall beauty. I appreciated her suggestion to donate some of the flowers to the Indianapolis branch of Random Acts of Flowers, who picked up the floral arrangements from my reception venue the next day and repurposed them into floral bouquets for nursing homes, hospitalized patients, etc. I highly recommend Courtney and Violets are Blue Floral Design! -

Courtney is an amazing florist! I didn't really know what I wanted for wedding flowers, but Courtney did a really great job of asking about what I liked during our planning meeting. Our wedding venue looked gorgeous decked out in the floral pieces she designed. She designed stuff to decorate the arch under which we got married which looked absolutely stunning. Our centerpieces also looked nice. The flowers on top of my cake looked great. I loved my wedding bouquet so much that I'm getting it preserved so I can keep it forever. All in all, I'm so happy with how our flowers turned out -- you should definitely hire Violets are Blue for your wedding day too! -

Courtney with Violets are Blue did such an amazing job on the flowers for my wedding. They were honestly one of my favorite things about the whole day.
We planned our wedding in three months, so everything was on a pretty tight schedule. Added to the fact that I was planning from out of town and had to do a FaceTime contact meeting with her, and I could still not believe the ease with which Courtney and co. were able to handle my every need!
I didn't have a super clear vision for the flowers, just wanted them to be jeweled tone themed, and they were everything I ever dreamed! Courtney took my limited ideas and made me exactly what I had had in mind.
I 100% recommend Violets are Blue for any Indianapolis wedding. We were able to get everything I wanted well within my budget and it all looked AMAZING. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you! -

I cannot express enough how much I love Courtney and Violets Are Blue!!!!
To start, Courtney was extremely responsive and easy to work with. She was really transparent about my budgetary needs as well, which I really appreciated as I was on a tighter budget. She also set me up with a pinterest page for she and I to put images and inspo on, which was awesome!
Then the BIG DAY finally came around and OH MY GOODNESS. Breathtaking florals, friends! I received SO MANY compliments on my bouquet, the bridesmaids, the centerpieces ... all of it.
Seriously, stop looking and just work with Violets Are Blue. You will love it!!!!!! -

I can’t say enough great things about Courtney at Violets are Blue. She was so easy to work with from the first time we met . She took what I had envisioned and brought it to life better than I could have ever imagined. The bouquets were beautiful (13 Bridesmaids and then my own!) and every table at the reception was better than I ever expected ! Our guests constantly commented on the flowers as well. I am so happy she was our florist and would highly recommend. Thank you for making our day so beautiful Courtney ! -

I had a wonderful time working with Courtney to decide on my wedding flowers. We met for coffee the first time and started a Pinterest board to share things that I liked. I showed her an image of a bouquet I was in love with and she immediately knew every flower that was in it and how to recreate it. She worked really well with my budget and the flowers for the day were absolutely gorgeous! -

If I could give more than 5-stars, I would! I had the best experience working with Courtney and her team. First, I am not the best at identifying or explaining the type of flower and decor look that I like, but Courtney walked me through the process and helped me identify what I was wanting for my wedding. Then she so kindly spent time at a follow-up meeting with my mom (who LOVES florals and decor) where we made a few adjustments and even added in some fun things. Part of my wedding was scheduled to be outside, but due to weather we moved everything inside. Courtney and her team KILLED it with the change of plans. I felt like I walked in to a fairy tale land when I arrived to the venue. The small touches like candles and sprigs of rosemary were exactly what I wanted. Not to mention, nothing was overpriced or unreasonable. I had many people asking after the wedding who my florist was and I was so excited to share with them my experience. Take a consultation meeting with Courtney and you'll see what I mean. She made my day more beautiful than I could event have imagined. -

She makes you feel like your ideas are important, and is able to work with a smaller budget! We have not gotten our professional photography back yet but here is a little sneak peak!

Courtney was also a logistical blessing as we needed her to travel for our wedding. It was no problem to work things out remotely and everything went smoothly once she landed in Texas. I highly recommend Courtney and Violets Are Blue! 10/10!

For a girl who loves flowers, I didn't know much about them, so I basically let her take the reins on my flowers--SO glad I did! I received so many compliments on how lovely my flowers were at the wedding, and I couldn't stop raving about them myself! I would highly recommend using Violets are Blue for any floral needs. Courtney certainly has an eye for flowers and creating them into beautiful arrangements. -

Courtney was incredibly patient with me during the planning stages, as I figured out what I wanted- and we sorted through all the small details of the day of. Courtney was also very friendly and nice to talk to! Courtney really brought our floral vision to life on our special day! I showed Courtney a picture of my desired bridal bouquet and she did a fantastic job creating a bouquet that looked the same. She also did an amazing job creating a handsome boutineer with hypericum berries, which I requested. I loved the hair flowers she picked out for me- they were beautiful! I also liked the flowers she suggested for the bridesmaids bouquet- they were really special. I loved the centerpieces and the floral arrangement at the bar. I was so pleased! My only complaint it that it took Courtney awhile to get back to emails. However, this did not in any way compromise the superb service I received the day of the wedding! I highly recommend her work!

Mallory Sent on 08/25/2015If you are planning a wedding on a budget, VAB is the florist for you! I wasted my time meeting with two other florist who requested almost double the money that VAB did. I don't know a lot about flowers and Courtney picked out a few off the bat that I loved. The only low scores I gave her were due to her responsiveness as it took over 3 weeks to get me a quote. I also gave her a 4 star on professionalism as she was professional, just seemed upset or angry when we met. Overall, I am very happy with my experience with VAB! -

Connie Sent on 10/17/2016I booked, signed the contract, and paid the deposit for Violets are Blue, however, I did not end up using her services for my wedding. Here is why:
I reached out to her for information and set up a date and time to meet, January 30th. A few days before, she notified me that I'd be meeting with one of her colleagues instead at a coffee shop. I later found out it was because she was going to have her baby that day. Her colleague was fine, but I wasn't sure we were on the same page for our floral design and wanted to meet with the her, as she was the actual designer who'd be doing my wedding flowers. I told her that I understood she just had a baby, so to take her time and let me know when would work best for her. She asked me to reach out to her in April to meet. In March, she told me that another bride was interested in her services on my day, and that I needed to sign the contract and pay immediately if I wanted to secure my slot, so I did.
I reached out to her on April 4th and asked when to meet up. She responded that she could ONLY meet on week days between 5:45P and 6P, because of the new baby. I offered to FaceTime with her instead, and she asked to schedule a time in May.
At that time, I went ahead and booked another florist. I felt like she was dodging me through the entire time I worked with her. I tried my best to be accommodating and sensitive to the fact that she had a new baby, but I simply wasn't comfortable working with someone who couldn't take more than 15 minutes out of her day (only on weekdays and on the opposite side of town at a coffee shop) to meet with one of her paying clients.
Price: she told me that she had the best prices because she purchases wholesale. For that reason, I couldn't see what any of the flowers would look like before the day of without paying full price for the flowers. The brick-and-mortar florist I ended up hiring charged considerably less for her arrangements, and I got to see what they looked like.
