I am blown away by the work Jen and Jake did for our wedding. Our day was a dream. It was filled with laughter and tears and everything in between and I cannot get over how loved my husband and I felt. But, it was also all a blur. We absolutely loved our wedding and I remember thinking the day after, “I hope they captured even just a fraction of what we felt yesterday.” Well, they worked a miracle and somehow got our blog up in two days and I can tell you they absolutely captured our day perfectly. I have beautiful dreamy romantic portraits with my husband, I have incredible raw moments from our first look and private vows, we have pictures that capture the pure joy that was our epic dance party. It’s all there, and I feel so content knowing I can relive the most magical day over and over again. They were also incredibly sweet and took the time to talk and interact with our friends. I could go on and on. My only problem will be choosing which ones to display. Jen and Jake, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I will treasure these memories forever. -

Customer for life
Wow. I could never possibly say enough about Jen and Jake. From the moment we met, they felt like family. For our 2 hour engagement shoot, Jen helped my husband and I feel comfortable even though we had absolutely no idea what we were doing and generally both dislike having our photos taken. We were so nervous, but she talked us through every step and every pose and the photos turned out absolutely stunning. And to be honest it was actually FUN! On our wedding day, Jen and Jake showed up early and were SO supportive throughout the day. It helped so much that we had already done an engagement session with Jen and knew what to expect from her. She gave us perfect direction and was super efficient. Again, the photos turned out amazing. They truly went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. The number of people who have asked us who did our photos is unbelievable. We just keep get compliments on how great the photography was! Jake & Jen are beyond amazing. I had the pleasure of being friends prior to hiring them, but I’d still want to be their friends even if I hadn’t know them before! The Vinluan team has spent tons of time discussing our vision for our wedding, sending ample information to prepare us for both our engagement shoot & the day of the wedding. My husband and I had a blast at our engagement shoot and were so happy with those photos. When I tell you, the wedding photos blew us out of the water, I am not exaggerating. There are moments that Jake & Jen captured during our pre-wedding, first look photos, ceremony, reception, and portraits that are beyond my wildest imagination. I can look at our photos and literally feel the same emotion and joy from the actual moment when it was captured. Our detail photos were a total surprise and featured touches of our wedding that turned out incredibly beautiful! Throughout the entire event, Jen & Jake were smiling, guiding and quietly taking snapshots of the most incredible day of our lives. They have offered us time capsules of love, joy, excitement, and unity. We loved working with The Vinluans! Every person who has seen sneak peaks of our photos has raved about how gorgeous they are! Vinluan Photography went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I picked them because of their clear and crisp photo style. I didn’t get the sense their pictures were overly edited and loved the colors and brightness. They certainly exceeded my expectations!

Jake and Jennifer are such a great team, and they were such a pleasure to have as photographers. You can really tell they put a lot of thought and care into capturing your special day as well as putting you at ease. They made our first look such a sweet and intimate moment on our wedding day.
What especially drew my (now) husband and I to their photography was their bright and clean photography style that looks absolutely timeless. Plus they can recommend some great local restaurants and wedding vendors! Jake and Jen were both so easy to work with, fun to be around, and truly helped us to relax and enjoy our big day. Having met Jake and Jen at a previous wedding, we knew how easy they were to work with, as well as how amazing the couple’s wedding photos looked. When we starting the wedding planning process, our only ‘must have’ was having Vinluan Photography be a part of our wedding day, and we were not disappointed.
Jake and Jen fit in seamlessly alongside our families and wedding party. They were so much fun to be around, and it truly felt like having an extra groomsman and bridesmaid next to us throughout the day. Even through 25 mph winds, we had fun taking photos outside and laughing throughout it all. They gave helpful directions for posing, and they made sure to get all of the shots that were important to us.
We received our wedding album back this week, and we were absolutely blown away. The quality of their work is stunning, and they captured some of the most special moments of our wedding day--both big and small. Immaculate service
Jake & Jen are best photographers there are. Not only were their pictures phenomenal, but they’re quality people and we’re blessed to call them our friends. As a nervous groom, they put my mind at ease on the wedding day. I felt like a king , and the best version of myself. They also gave my bride confidence to own the day! The pics of her, i don’t have words 🥺😭🤌 They’re extremely down to earth and you could feel how passionate they were about capturing love. They’re so organized and well versed in photography. Whether it was to get better lighting or to hide insecurities, they made it easy and it felt natural. If you’re reading this I’m sure you’re on the search for a photographer. Well let me assure you, you will be thrilled with Vinluan Photography and you should stop your search here. Jenn and Jake (husband and wife team) are the dynamic duo. Before my wedding, I had never hired a professional photographer so I can assure you, I was nervous about modeling for the first time on one of the most important days of my life. Jenn was very understanding and said she would guide us through the whole process (which they did). I originally found them from searching for photographers for hours on IG. I noticed that every person (especially the bride) looked amazing in their photos. There were no awkward poses or bad angles. Every photo looked natural and beautiful. And at the end of the day this is what we want- to look our best on this important day. On top of the gorgeous photos, they are very professional and easy to work with before, during and after the event. They are very attentive to detail and make sure you are always the priority. I have referred them many times. And have asked them to do another shoot for us in the future. I love the look and feel of their photos and everyone thought our photos were stunning. Absolutely the Best!!
Jake and Jennifer are the absolute best!!! I met them at a bridal show shortly after I got engaged and from that moment I just had a great feeling about them.
My parents had originally wanted me to go with a friend of theirs but I knew the Vinluan’s had to be my photographers! They both provide so much support from the time you meet them and are still there for you after your wedding day.
It rained on my wedding day and I was super bummed because the ceremony was supposed to take place outside. Jennifer and Jake came prepared with umbrellas and were able to provide great shots of us and our wedding party outside. Poor Jake got soaked as he was holding the umbrella for Jennifer so she could get the perfect shot! They’re such an amazing team and they make you feel like you’ve been friends with them for years!

As a bride, promptness is a big factor for me when looking for a vendor. Vinluan Photography is all about that! I inquired one night and they invited us the following day at their own home to see if we are a perfect fit for them. As soon as we walked into their humble home, I knew that we would clicked right away! Jennifer and Jake thoroughly explained to us every step of the process—booking, getting the engagement photoshoot done, and capturing our most special day! Shortly after we left their home, I texted Jen and asked her to go ahead and send the contract for us to sign! We didn’t even have to think about it twice! I mean, they really showed us how passionate they are in what they do! A little over a month after the initial meeting, we had our engagement photos taken. And let me tell you, Jen was so much fun to be with! John and I truly enjoyed getting our engagement photos taken. We were a little nervous but Jen made us feel comfortable. It didn’t take long for us to get our photos back and Vinluan Photography did not disappoint! WE LOVE OUR ENTIRE ALBUM! Photos were so good that it was so hard for us to choose which one to use for our save the dates! We can’t wait for them to capture our big day! Being a bride during a pandemic is stressful enough—so having a photographer that you can always count on is such a blessing! We love Jake and Jennifer so much! From the first glance at their photography page and our first phone call, I knew that our special moments were in the BEST hands. Not only are they your photography professionals, they are also your friends!
They are both so professional, helpful, easy going, hard working, and great communicators. Their style of photography is so lovely, colorful, full of light, and they will make sure that you shine and look your best! We were especially happy that our photos were ready in a timely manner (even during a busy fall/wedding/holiday season, I was in no rush, but they put in the work to make it happen)!
Photography is a major key factor for any special moment such as engagements and weddings because your photos are forever! WOW. Vinluan Photography is a DREAM. They are so much more than a fantastic photographer team - you are receiving some pure and joyful spirits and friends. But also, the photos are STUNNING. A few highlights of working with Jennifer and Jake:
- First, book them ASAP because you will not find a better quality for this deal. These two are professionals and their quality reflects that. All my friends, family, and literally friends of friends that saw our photos commented on how gorgeous they are! They're beautiful - strong colors, but not over contrasted. Light and refreshing, but not washed out. They're truly timeless images, not a "trendy" edit.
- Jennifer made us feel so comfortable and our photos looked so natural. She taught us a few tricks on how to pose to make the photos better, but it never felt or looked unnatural. We were able to act and be ourselves and the photography captures that - I felt like a model!
- We got our photos back FAST. Both our engagement and wedding albums! The blog was posted in a week or so, and we received our entire wedding album less than 2 weeks after our wedding. You may think you're okay waiting, but when you're on a post-wedding high you want them back ASAP! I cannot thank Vinluan Photography for how much work they put in to get them back so quickly. I know other brides that wait 2-4 months!
- Logistics: There are some logistics about booking a photographer that you don't think about that Vinluan Photography does to really make them stand out. First, the return rate is fast (see above). Second, they send you the entire album and let you print, download, post as you wish. I always give credit to Vinluan, but it's nice to not have big logos on every photo and to download as I wish. Third, I filled out a questionnaire about what photos I wanted, groups, etc and they were excellent about ensuring I got all my "must have" shots. These are some details that some overlook, but not Vinluan.
- They take such a true and genuine interest in all their clients to get to know them personally. This makes shooting with them a lot more fun and personalized. I told everyone that after one engagement session and communication with Vinluan for a year between engagement and wedding, I truly felt like they were friends. It made my wedding day so much fun and I was so comfortable knowing that they had my best interest in heart and weren't focused on what they wanted, but what I wanted.
- Your wedding photographer needs to do your engagement photos. It should be a rule. It allowed us to learn what it's like working with Vinluan Photography, allowed them to learn us, and made our wedding day so smooth.
- TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS. My husband and the guys LOVED Jake - and Jake learned everyone's names so quickly (and we had a LOT of men in our party!) Jennifer was fabulous with us ladies, laughing and giggling with us. We were able to maximize our time on our day by having two photographers, and they were able to capture photos that you just cannot do with one photographer.
- If you can't tell, I truly love Vinluan Photography. On our consultation call with Jennifer, we knew within 5 minutes that this was the team for us. I am so picky about photographers and cannot believe that a team like this exists. I promise you - you will NOT regret booking with Vinluan Photography. They're the best photographers and people you could want!
PS - I loved them so much, that my brother is getting married and hired WOW. Vinluan Photography is a DREAM. Everything we dreamed of and more!

Jen and Jake were an amazing choice for our wedding. We were looking for photographers that had a great combination of affordability and talent. They were the perfect find! Jennifer is so passionate about what she does and she brings so much enthusiasm to every step of the process. From our initial phone call, I knew that they would put in the work to make sure we had gorgeous photos to remember our wedding day. The photos are excellent! They captured every moment of the day so beautifully. We have received so many compliments on the quality of the photos. They look so natural (not over-edited like some wedding photography)! The day of the wedding, they arrived early and ready to get started. The groomsmen LOVED working with Jake. He really wrangled in the large group well. So Much Love
So I am a bit late writing this review (about 6 months to be exact) but Jen and Jake are absolutely wonderful. The quality of their work speaks for itself, but the time, care, and love they put into not only their work but the couples they work with is amazing. I knew from my first meeting with Jen that she would be the perfect fit and we had so much fun at our impromptu engagement session when my now husband came home from deployment earlier than expected. Then I panicked. Shortly after our engagement session, we found out my husbands ship schedule had changed and he would likely be gone for our original wedding date, so we were going to have to move the wedding up 5 months and I now had 4 months to replan our entire wedding. Thankfully, Vinluan Photography wasn’t booked for our new date and graciously allowed us to move dates. Jen and Jake truly helped save the day and our wedding is recorded beautifully for us to look back on and cherish the madness and the love that went in to making the perfect day. -

Perfect Choice!
I cannot even begin with how amazing Jen and Jake were throughout the entire planning and wedding day process! Our engagement pictures were stunning, and our wedding photos are just absolutely perfect! They were able to capture the best moments of our day and were so prepared!! They made us feel really comfortable like we could be ourselves which comes through in their work. They made us feel like rockstars and if you're looking for photographers with great experience and teamwork, this is the team for you!! Our wedding shall always be remembered beautifully!!
Jake and Jen are just simply amazing. They were both so very sweet over the entire process. Then the day of the wedding they were just magical. Capturing just about every moment possible, from the moment i started getting ready to the end of the reception. They are truly passionate about what they do and the love they have for one another just radiates and you can't help but enjoy being around these two. They are very reasonably priced and adequate turn around for the photo return. I could not say enough great things about Jennifer and Jake. You are truly getting way more than just a wedding photographer with them. We are not camera shy but we aren't the best models out there, but during our engagement shoot Jennifer gives you such a boost of confidence with all the different poses and LOTS of laughter. This is so important with the wedding day rush!! They catered to all our needs and what we wished to see on our wedding. Our pictures authentically show the fun and the emotions shared on one of the best days of our lives. -

Amazing Couple Photographers!
Jake and Jen did a phenomenal job with the photos for our wedding! So personable, FUN, punctual, and detailed in capturing every moment of our big day! Although, the night seemed to be all a blur to me (I had wayyy to much fun lol), I was so pleased looking back at our photos and reminiscing on that beautiful day (something I STILL do to this day). My favorite part about Vinluan Photography is the fact that they’re both able to capture both my husband and I before the actual ceremony at the SAME time...husband + wife = 2 awesome photographers for the price of one! #WIN! Jennifer and Jake are such an incredible team! From the moment we met them, we felt an instant connection and as if we were catching up with old friends. They put their heart into their craft and it definitely shows. From our engagement photos and through our entire wedding day, we received nothing but kindness and 100% dedication (down to Jennifer helping me get into my dress with "a zillion buttons" in the words of my bridal party). Not to mention, we received both our engagement photo and wedding photo albums surprisingly fast! Everything was absolutely perfect and I could not have been more satisfied with the Vinluans capturing our most precious moments. -

Simply amazing!
We have a wonderful experience the couple was very sweet! Jennifer cared so much about my “little details”. Her husband was amazing with the boys. They were genuinely happy for us and both made the experience amazing. Jennifer and her husband saw my vision of the day and made it come true. I had met Jennifer at a wedding show and knew that day I wanted her at my big day. I’m so glad that we chose Jake and Jennifer! -

Ariana Sent on 11/06/2017Where do I begin reviewing Vinluan Photography? Brides and brides-to-be out there know the importance of an excellent photographer – my wedding was a complete blur, and without great pictures I wouldn't remember a thing!
Jake and Jennifer are SUPERSTARS!! I can't say enough wonderful things about them. My husband and I met them at a bridal show at the Founders Inn, and it was great to see them right next to other wedding photographers – their portfolio was hands down the most professional we saw, and their prices were beyond reasonable for the outcome.
From the beginning Jennifer went out of her way to accommodate me by re-arranging her schedule to have our initial meeting. She was professional, and gently gave me great suggestions and direction when I made it clear that I had no idea what I was doing. They even sent me a beautiful little gift of homemade beauty items like all natural lip balm in the mail – how nice is that?!
The day of our wedding at the Virginia Zoo, Jennifer and Julian Vinluan (brother of Jake and our incredible videographer) came to me to take pictures of me and my bridesmaids and Jake took care of the guys. They were both amazingly professional, prompt, funny (!!), and all around laid-back. After the wedding, they jumped into action and organized all of our (very large) family into taking portraits, and later came up with great ideas for our couple portraits. Honestly, spending most of our wedding day with them was a blast because they were just plain fun!
Our photos were ready in record time, but before the final shots were even online, Jennifer sent me a sneak peak blog, where she wrote up a beautiful little blurb about their experience, complete with some wonderful initial shots. The photos were INCREDIBLE!!!
To add to it all, just last week, we received a surprise 16x20 print of us in the mail – I can't ever recommend Jake and Jennifer (and Jules!) enough. My husband and I loved them and our family loved them!! -

We were blown away by our engagement pictures at First Landing State Park and our wedding pictures at The Wyndham were nothing short of amazing. They knew exactly how to pose us and dealt with big group pictures like champs! I loved how they caught such emotional parts of the day and how artsy and fun our poses were. I would hire them over again in a heartbeat. Best decision we made during our wedding planning!

We live in Northern Virginia and they were happy to come up from Virginia Beach to help make my daughter's wedding perfect. Love them so much that we had them take family beach photos this summer.

Kat Sent on 10/17/2017Vinluan Photography did my photos for our engagement and wedding day. They had several competitive packages to choose from that fit our needs and budget, even payment options. We did a meet and greet to discuss my likes and wishes and the photographers even welcomed photos I found and liked online to duplicate on our special day. They also shared their work with me so I knew what to expect before committing; not many people were offering their time to me beforehand, just their website to view. Our guests loved the photographers while interacting at the photo shoots/wedding reception and loved the quality of their photos. I cannot say enough positives about this company and the quality of work they provided. I will be having our first baby soon and am planning on using them to do some baby photos once he gets a little bigger! Highly recommended!
