Beautiful Venue
Villa Parker was our absolute dream venue and checked all the things we were looking for! The stunning Mediterranean settings, such as the lush garden, breathtaking fountain ceremony area, and amazing ballroom with beautiful chandeliers, brought our wedding vision to life. Grace and Co, who provides day-of-coordination through Villa Parker, was amazing and we loved having Sophie as part of our day. Our wedding was perfect, and we could not imagine having it at any other venue but Villa Parker! -

Planning a wedding in 3 months is no small feat, but Jen at Villa Parker did an absolutely phenomenal job of helping us pull together the details of our wedding day. The venue itself is lovely and was perfect for preparation, photos, and for our (90) guests to enjoy the space. I hoped for an outdoor ceremony and there was a wonderful spot on the lawn - but there was also peace of mind in the fact that there was ample space to move indoors if the mercurial Colorado weather had interfered.
Our wedding day could not have gone any more smoothly and there was literally nothing I would have changed. A huge thank you to Jen and the behind-the-scenes team at Villa Parker! -

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
We are so happy with our experience at Villa Parker, everything turned out to be better than we could have imagined. We had a very short engagement of 3 months and easily planned our big day! The staff is responsive and Emalee, our wedding planner provided to us from Villa, was OUTSTANDING. She went above and beyond and did all the center pieces, put together all the florals around the venue, including around the chandeliers, all while still directing the flow of the day! Honestly could not have done it without her. I can’t say enough about this venue, thank you so much for such an amazing day. -

Absolutely beautiful, well maintained venue with historic and Mediterranean charm. Seriously there are no bad picture opportunities in the venue - it’s all gorgeous. All of the employees were helpful and assisting with all of my requests throughout the wedding planning process. There were a couple unforeseen bumps along the way, but they navigated us through them smoothly. The vendor selection they have to choose from are great, and they all work closely with Villa Parker so you’re already in great hands for the day of logistics. We absolutely adored our coordinator Emalee - she was flawless in her execution and brought my day of vision to life 100%. I wouldn’t change a thing, the entire day was so perfect - i have zero complaints! -

We found Villa Parker at the suggestion of our photographer, Tony Clapp. Villa Parker is absolutely breathtaking, especially during the summer. There are so many beautiful photography opportunities--the grounds are well-maintained, with plenty of flowers and options for indoor/outdoor lighting packages to add extra flair. We are thankful we spent the extra money on the lighting package we chose!
Our main interactions with Villa staff were with Kelsey, until we were assigned our day-of coordinator, Jen, who works in partnership with the venue. The price of the day-of coordinator is built into the venue fee, which was a huge plus of choosing Villa Parker. Kelsey was wonderful to work with. She is professional, kind, accommodating, and always answered our questions with exceptional detail. Jen was fun, collaborative, had fresh ideas and great advice, and made the venue look just as we dreamt it would be. During the event, she watched over every detail and made sure everything was taken care of. It even rained during dinner, and she & her assistant, along with our caterers, were able to pivot immediately to their Plan B floorplan. It was so nice that we did not have to worry about the details of the decor and events of the day!
On the business side of things, Villa Parker worked well with each of our vendors, even though some of them had never worked at the venue before. The bartender that Villa Parker provided was also fantastic and kept our guests happy!
Villa also has available several decor closets full of easels, signs, candles, candle holders, and other items which we were able to utilize and save a bit of money on decorations. They even let us borrow an easel to take to our ceremony site for our welcome sign. For the decor that we provided, we were able to deliver our items the day before the wedding, which added flexibility for us the day of the wedding.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Kelsey did a very good job with keeping us updated. When we contacted her with questions and concerns about whether we would be able to move forward, she was always compassionate and as flexible as she could be under the circumstances. There came a point where we weren't sure whether we would be able to have our ceremony at a church, and she kept the option of hosting the ceremony at Villa Parker open throughout the planning process. While we were able to keep our ceremony offsite, it was nice to know that we could still have the wedding we dreamed of. The only roadblock we encountered was when we were informed several days before the wedding of an unexpected policy change because of COVID. This certainly created a great deal of stress, but in the end, Jen was accommodating and helped the event run as smoothly as possible during the pandemic.
Overall, we had a great experience with having our wedding reception at Villa Parker, and we would highly recommend this venue! -

We booked very far in advance & throughout the process of planning they were very responsive to our inquires. We never ended up looking at other facilities because we fell in love with Villa; we felt the costs were overall reasonable. They offer monthly ‘tastings’ which allowed us to meet & try out some of the vendors they recommended. The background is very beautiful and they handle bar service, tables, chairs, day-of logistics. Most of the staff we worked with was very pleasant & supportive. We initially worked with Karen & she was very easy-going. Our day-of coordinator was Erika & she was awesome to work with. She thought of things we never would have, & actually put the entire facility together the day of the ceremony. We always felt very comfortable with her suggestions & direction. One concern; we mentioned in multiple meetings & emails how important the ceremony music was to us. That, if all else failed, we wanted the music to be right. We even put together our own playlists/instructions. We were assured the music would be handled correctly but, it was not. Our processional for both the wedding party & the bride was wrong as was the start of our unity sand song. We know that every little aspect of the wedding will not go to plan; and we accepted that. Of course our guests didn’t know the difference; but for us we had emphasized countless times the importance of the music. The fact it was done incorrectly was disappointing. The positive overall experience far outweighed the concerns we had. It’s a beautiful facility, secluded from everything, & we had numerous guests comment on how wonderful the facility was. The general timeline & organization of the day was also great & was able to help keep our stress level down. Villa did a great job working with our individual vendors & coordinating everything in a manner that assured everything was on time & in place. thanks Erika & Villa! -

Lauren Sent on 08/23/2013Driving to my appointment at the Villa Parker, I wasn't sure this was the place for our wedding - after all, Parker seems to be an odd place for a wedding. What I found was a quiet, intimate venue that has the warm, welcome feeling like you have stepped in to someone's elaborate home. With a well tended garden, scenic fountains and stucco archways, it is a picture perfect setting for your special day. Erika and Karen are a seamless team! We were also were provided a "day of" coordinator, the wonderful Taylor, who helped us far beyond the day of making every detail personalized and perfect. Their preferred vendors (we used Spice of Life, DJ Elite and Kokoro) armed us with just the team we needed to create memories and not worry about the details. They even have connections with local hotels that will shuttle guests a short 20 mins to and from your event for free and provide an exceptionally reasonable room rate (ours was $89). Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and we have the Villa ladies to thank for that! This is a venue worth a visit. -

The staff was wonderful and so helpful leading up to and the day of our wedding. The grounds were beautiful and a wonderful place for photos! All of our guests loved it. I have lived in Parker most of my life and never know the Villa was there until a friend told us about it. We were able to go look, and book our reception very easily and Joe and Erika were fabulous! We had the most wonderful day we could have imagined! -

Sarah Sent on 07/19/2011Villa Parker provided a beautiful backdrop for my day! Erika was wonderful to work with and really worked hard to make my day special. The open house nights that Villa sponsors really are awesome. Once a month they host an event where they invite one of their preferred caterers and other vendors they work with. The caterer serves a full meal and the villa is dressed up. Makes it super easy to see what your event would be and to meet other vendors without a lot of pressure. Wonderful day! -

Brit Sent on 01/04/2011Villa Parker is the perfect venue for elegance, intimacy, and class. The building is beautiful and offers a unique setting, large enough for a few hundred if needed but small enough to feel as though you can relax and be yourself. It is surprisingly condusive to a spectrum of desired atmospheres, from cozy backyard wedding to elegant gala.
While I would have hoped for quicker email responses in the early months, Erika was very responsive and extremely attentive and helpful closer to the day of the wedding. Molly did a great job of helping us plan our other vendors in our budget and according to what we were looking for.
The day of the wedding, Erika and Molly worked tirelessly to set everything up perfectly. I was able to relax and take a huge breath before the wedding and I didn't have to micro-manage or do a thing myself. A few details were forgotten which was frustrating afterwards but overall the day was amazing and perfectly memorable thanks to their hard work.
My only warning with using the Villa is that they, with no exceptions, require clients to choose between a select few Caterers, Photographers, and Alcohol vendors. These vendors tend to be pricey and the Alcohol vendor was completely incompetant, so the investment in Villa Parker is higher than originally expected.
With that said, my wedding was absolutely a dream come true and Villa Parker comes closer to perfection than I believe any other venue could. I would highly recommend it for any type of wedding. -

We held our daughter’s wedding at the Villa in December and it was beautiful. The bridal suite was incredible and gave us precious moments together. The venue itself is gorgeous inside and out and many people commented on how beautiful it was. One of the things we loved was being assigned a day of coordinator. Emalee was AMAZING!! She handled everything and turned our vision of the decorations into something spectacular. She handles a couple of hard personalities and it allowed us to be present in the moment with our daughter and not have to worry. We did hit a few bumps along the way but Emalee and the staff went above and beyond to work it all out and help us have the wedding our daughter had dreamed of. We highly recommend this venue and especially Emalee. -

Katie Sent on 11/02/2011My husband and I loved Villa Parker! We immediately fell in love with it the first time we went there to visit. It's quite expensive, but we felt that the atmosphere was worth the extra budgeting we would have to do. The bridal room is gorgeous and huge compared to other venues we checked out. The bathroom is definitely big enough to have your bridal party's hair and makeup done there. And the grounds are spectacular! I also loved that they only do 1 wedding a day, so you never feel like you're being shuffled around another bride and her big day. The planning process could have been better though. Our consultant quit half way through and we felt like the owners didn't do that great a job of checking in with us and seeing if everything was going well or if we needed help with anything. I would completely recommend having the "planning" meeting earlier than 3 months out. Because of our schedules, we actually didn't have ours until about 1.5 - 2 months out. We were completely stressed before the planning meeting, but felt better afterwards. There were a lot of things that I learned about during that meeting that would have been nicer to know earlier, such as the venue had sparklers to use at the end of the ceremony if I wanted, that you had to pay an additional amount to rent their china, and that they would handle all of the set up and tear down. Some of these items had been implied, but nothing was confirmed until the meeting. (Be careful of the additional costs that tend to come up after you've already paid the venue fee. Make sure you completely understand the contract and don't be afraid to ask seemingly simple questions). Overall, our wedding was a huge success and we feel like Villa Parker had a big part in that! PS - they do once a month tastings where some of their preferred vendors come, give out samples, and info. It's a great time to meet other vendors if you're still looking! I went several times just to enjoy the food and see Villa Parker in the different seasons with varying decorations.

I had both positive and negative interactions with Villa Parker. The biggest take away is how inflexible and inconsiderate they have been throughout the pandemic. While every other vendor allowed us to postpone our wedding with no consequences, it was a battle at every step with Villa Parker. Originally, in March of 2020 they were not allowing couples who had wedding dates beyond June to postpone. When it came time to evaluate if we needed to postpone, they said that since we were allowed 50 people (according to the county – we had originally invited 200) we did not qualify to postpone – and if we opted to – we would need to pay the ENTIRE $6500 fee again. It took multiple emails and conversations to get them to accommodate moving our wedding date from a peak season date to an off-peak season date (mind you – there is a $1500 difference that they did NOT reimburse or apply to other expenses). – My biggest caution is to NOT book them if you foresee ANYTHING at all happening that may require you to change/cancel your wedding date. – We did not foresee anything… then a worldwide pandemic hit.
On a positive note – the reason we fell in love in the first place is that the venue is gorgeous. I was initially ecstatic for the blooming trees and florals in the garden that (should have) been present during our end of summer wedding. Unfortunately, these were not in bloom during our wedding as we moved from peak season to off peak season. – The getting ready suites were perfect and we very much appreciated being able to drop our stuff off the night before and get it partially set up. The day of coordinator through Grace and Co was amazing and was able to accommodate all of our needs and was a great support to have leading up to and day of the wedding.

Villa Parker is a beautiful venue! This was the 5th wedding we'd done with our kids and the first official venue, WITH a coordinator! The venue was great but the details we expected with the extra cost were lacking. The outdoor speakers didn't work, we had to find the coordinator to close the garage door just minutes before our daughter was set to walk down the aisle, and the expensive "attended" drink service we paid for was just sodas in an ice bucket, unattended. I emailed my concern and was told the owner would reach out. After numerous emails, it's been 6 weeks now, no phone call or offer to compensate us for the disappointments. I wish I could give a glowing review, but we're disappointed. For the last wedding in our family, we'll save the money and do it right ourselves. -

I rarely write reviews like this, but I feel it’s important to share our experience with Villa Parker so others can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, from start to finish, our experience was a nightmare. It was extremely disappointing and stressful.
Communication was poor from the very beginning but Dawn was kind and professional. Over the course of planning our wedding, we were assigned five different day-of coordinators due to constant staff changes. Then, just three weeks before our wedding, we received an email stating that the venue had changed ownership yet again. We were introduced to Keisha, the new manager and point of contact, who assured us that things would be handled differently and that we’d be well taken care of. Sadly, that couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Only two weeks before our wedding, we were told that they couldn’t locate our signed contract. When we checked the digital link where our contract had been stored, it showed that it had been deleted. We were then asked to sign a new contract — but this new version included multiple price increases, including higher rental fees. Despite having several emails proving we had in fact signed an agreement, the venue insisted we sign a new contract.
Even during that renegotiation process, Keisha repeatedly forgot to include key details we had already agreed upon. If it hadn’t been for our day-of coordinator carefully reviewing the revised contract, several important elements would have been missed entirely. That kind of carelessness just added to the stress and uncertainty we were already facing.
When my husband (then fiancé) spoke with Keisha by phone to calmly address these issues, she raised her voice and continuously spoke over him like a child— behavior that was unprofessional and completely unacceptable, especially just two weeks before our wedding. She was so rude and disorganized. I truly have never seen such a lack of professionalism from a venue. The entire ordeal caused tremendous stress in what should have been one of the happiest times of our lives.
To make matters worse, they wanted to charge us an additional $800 — $400 per hour — simply to arrive early enough to get ready at the venue, when we had origionally been told by Dawn that we had the day. We certaining didn't anticipate having to pay $400 an hour just to get ready. As a result, we were rushed on the day of the wedding. My hair and makeup team struggled to finish in time, and my husband ended up helping set up just hours before guests arrived — something no couple should have to experience on their wedding day.
To be fair, our day-of coordinator, Brooke from Grace & Co., was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly and was the only reason things came together at all. However, she does not work for Villa Parker — she was contracted separately, and her professionalism stood in stark contrast to the venue’s management.
As a Colorado native, I had always dreamed of having my wedding at Villa Parker. It was once owned by a couple who truly cared about making each event magical, but sadly, under the new ownership, that warmth, integrity, and attention to detail are completely gone. Even after our wedding, when we returned to pick up our items, the project manager Anne saw us and didn’t even acknowledge us — not a word, not a smile, nothing.
It breaks my heart to say this, but I would strongly discourage anyone from booking Villa Parker under its current ownership. The venue itself may be beautiful, but the management and treatment of clients are deeply disappointing. I hope in time they rediscover the excellence and care that once made this venue so special.
