My husband and I could not thank Villa Barone Manor enough for all they did to help give us our dream wedding. Villa Barone was our first venue visit when we started shopping for our big day and were thoroughly impressed. We walked out feeling like we found our wedding venue on the first try and ultimately could not compare the hospitality, compassion and professionalism. Throughout the planning process, Peter was amazing at answering any questions or concerns we had and guiding us through. The day of was nothing short of smooth. The staff handled everything perfectly, from decorating the guest and sweetheart table how I imagined, ensuring the night flowed smoothly and giving my husband and me the VIP treatment, especially Manny and Anthony who made sure we were always taken care of and never wanting of something. Not only was the staff amazing to us and our guests, but the food was incredible! We also had the Venetian hour which was not only ascetically amazing but so plentiful for our guest. Our cake design was also amazing and so delicious. We even had a bit of an issue with our return ride and staff actually sat back to wait with us, which to us spoke so much volume. We are so happy and grateful to have had Villa Barone apart of our most special day and we would 1000% recommend them for your special event because they truly treat you like family!

Words cannot express how blessed I was to have found Villa Barone Manor. It is truly a wonderful place to get married! The value is exceptional, the service is outstanding, and the food was delicious!! What more could you ask for? I visited several venues before choosing Villa Barone and I have not one regret about my decision! Anthony Orza truly ensured that my wedding day was absolutely perfect. He was very responsive, answered about a million questions for me, and was considerate of all of my concerns. The team executed my event flawlessly! It has been a week since my wedding day [7/20/2018] and people are still raving about how great it was and how much they enjoyed themselves. I recommend Villa Barone Manor 1000%%%. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Villa Barone Manor. From the moment we walked into the building, my husband had a good feeling about the place. Our maître 'd, Anthony, was fantastic with us, and made us both feel like we had a guardian angel throughout the whole process. And when Anthony wasn't there, Peter and Max also made us feel special. Our reception was beautifully decorated, and the food was everything we could hope for. People have been talking about our entrance and will talk about it for days and years to come. This is place is amazing. All I can say is “Thank you Villa Baron!” Thank you for me an UNFORGETTABLE wedding day. The FOOD, the service, the beautiful space itself, the cleanliness, the attentiveness.. EVERYTHING was spot on!! Everyday I wish I can re-live my wedding day because of you guys. Wow, wow, wow! I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We met with Anthony over 2 years ago and from day 1 he worked hard to make our dream a reality. We both come from large, Italian families and so the expectations for weddings are always set high. Let me just saw, over a month later our families and friends are still raving about our venue! From the abundant, delicious food, to the ambiance, to the courteous staff, we couldn't be more happy. Anthony was an amazing maitre d' who made sure that we enjoyed our wedding amidst the confusion of squeezing everything in. He made sure we were fed, taken care of, and got to enjoy the moments of our special day. Not to mention, the Villa and our vendors worked so well together that we truly had a carefree, enjoyable day. We can't thank you all enough!!

We booked our wedding very last minute but it all worked out. We were accommodated and given excellent service by Peter and Max. Whenever I called, I either spoke to someone right away or received a call back within 30 minutes! The wait staff were awesome- very attentive to our needs and everyone enjoyed themselves. I never had an empty glass and never had to ask for anything because they “just knew”. The food was great- Everyone raved. The prices were reasonable for everything we got. Highly recommend.

My husband and I got married at Villa Barone on 10/22/16. All I would say growing up was "I want to get married at Villa Barone!" Finally my dream came true and let me tell you it was everything I dreamed of and so much more. Anthony Orza was more than just our maiter d, he was my therapist/advice column and savior! Just walking into Villa Barone and seeing Anthony instantly calmed my nerves and the day went off without a hitch. That is the great thing about Villa and Anthony, they make you feel like you're home. I will never ever be able to thank Anthony and his team enough for making our wedding a day we will truly never forget. We actually went back today, almost one year later, and Anthony treated us exactly the way he did a year ago. Anthony is more than just a friend to us, he's like family now. Thank you Anthony and everyone at Villa Barone for making our dreams come true!

Today makes 1 month that I became Mrs. Mora. My father, lives in South Carolina, had a massive stroke on father's day, a year before my wedding. I went from being excited to plan the biggest day of my life to being numb, sad and distracted. I realized my Dad wasn't able to walk me down the aisle or attend my wedding. Fortunately, for me I had the King of all maitre d's, Anthony Orza. I could write a book on how grateful I am. So, I will because he's heaven sent. He's well connected, has great taste and compassionate. He didn't make any false promises and kept our expectations realistic. He was our maitre d', counselor, wedding planner, life coach, budget watcher, wardrobe stylist and most importantly he's now family. I was in graduate school, starting my own business, promoted on my job and worried about my Dad. I gave up on a dream wedding and I just wanted to be married, my husband reached out to Anthony. They developed a great relationship, assembled the perfect team and gave me exactly what I wanted. Anthony came up with ideas to incorporate my Dad for the ceremony in his absence. He assured me my day would be beautiful/stress free and it was. He gave us his personal number to reach him anytime. He's like the cool uncle you go to for everything. On my wedding day I was treated like royalty. I was never left alone and someone was there to guide me till the end. His assistant, Manny made sure I had everything I needed without asking. He's amazing! My entire wedding party was well taken care of. The unexpected occurred and the staff was prepared. My bridesmaid dress ripped and my flower girl spilled a lot of PEPSI on her white dress. The staff cleaned up, fixed everything and I knew nothing about it. Some of our relatives don't speak English and never attended a wedding. The staff was friendly and patiently guided everyone. The venue is very clean and the food/drinks were amazing. THE NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN FAMILY JUST RECENTLY HAD A RETIREMENT PARTY FOR THE BEST BOSS EVER MR.ROY THOMPSON JR. THE PARTY WAS AMAZING. PETER IS THE BEST LIAISON EVER. HE WAS SO ACCOMMODATING, PLEASANT,AND WELL VERSED IN HIS SCOPE OF WORK. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO WORK ALONGSIDE PETER ANY DAY. HE IS THE BEST. Villa Barone Manor was the absolute BEST!! They were the first venue we interviewed and no one else measured up. Peter and the entire staff made us feel special and catered to every one of our needs. They were very flexible and exceeded our expectations. Our wedding day was flawless, the food was awesome and our guests are still talking about our beautiful wedding. Our Wedding Reception was a DREAM come true. From the first moment we met with Anthony Orzo our wedding director he made us feel like at home and that we were family. Anthony walked us through every step (I mean every step), patiently listen to our wishes and helped us when we got stressed about the planning. He was very flexible with scheduling meetings and made us feel relax and we walked out with a big smile after every meeting. May 21, 2016 was a MAGICAL day, all our love ones and friends enjoy every bit of the day. For most of our guests this was their first time at Villa Barone Manor, most commented on how BEAUTIFUL the place was, the AMAZING Food from cocktail to dinner, I still have friends talking on how GREAT was the food. The Staff was SUPER PROFESSIONAL and attentive. And our entrance was BREATHTAKING. The Goodes could not have selected a better venue. If you are looking for a venue that will treat you like family and help you through your ENTIRE wedding process, then look no further. Villa Barone Manor is the absolute best place to have a wedding. From the moment you make an appointment to the day you walk down the aisle they treat everyone like family. I had the pleasure of having Anthony as my go to person and let me tell you he is AMAZING!! There are sooooo many things I can say about this phenomenal person but I can sum it up by saying on the day of my wedding he was alongside my dad helping to put on my vile.

We were Villa Barone's first Gay Wedding they welcomed us as family and were so on top of everything. Everything was perfect no glitches and the attention to detail was superb. Talk about being well taken care off. The Villa Barone Staff was top notch. We had our ceremony in the Garden and our reception in the hall.They walked us through everything before hand, we had a rehearsal where they told us what to anticipate. Reassuringly, they told us on the day just to follow their directions for a seamless day and that it was. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! and it was great to just drop off my decorations, explain my ideas and have them create magic. Thank you to Anthony Orza and his team for a phenomenal day. Our wedding was July 4th and our guests are still raving about Villa Barone!! Anthony and his team really outdid themselves. Everything was absolutley perfect, professional, beautiful, and so much more. We feel that we have gained a new family at Villa Barone and look for any excuse to go back and visit.

I got married at the Villa Barone on 8/14/15. Absolutely everything about this place - the staff, food, decor, service, was excellent and the best I have ever experienced. My groom and I were treated like royalty that day, and our guests were also very impressed with everything. From the day I booked this venue, Peter treated us like old friends. He listened to all my concerns and reassured me that everything would be perfect. It really was! Everything was set up exactly how I wanted. It was way better than I imagined it would be. He even accommodated our poor best man who broke his leg 2 weeks before the wedding. Everyone made sure he was comfortable and they even got him a wheelchair to make his entrance into the reception! The staff was amazing, constantly making sure we were okay. The food was delicious - massive cocktail hour, dinner served piping hot (literally steaming), and a buffet in the bridal suite for the wedding party. The decor in this venue is breathtaking. We had our ceremony in the outdoor garden area across the street, and it was beautiful. The elevator that rises from the dance floor for the bride and groom entrance will leave your guests in awe. Our friends and family are still talking about it! Our guests and even our other vendors said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. I can't say enough nice things about this venue. I'm still dreaming about it. If you want a perfect fairy tale wedding, book the Villa Barone!

We knew when we walked into VB that we were going to plan our wedding here- the atmosphere and people that greeted us were amazing. We felt so comfortable and beyond excited to begin planning. From the very first phone call to the goodbye at the door on our way out after the wedding was full of energy & professionalism. The food is amazing & the variety is exquisite. Family & friends are still talking about the well set up cocktail hour which they could not get enough of! We worked with Massimo who will be a friend forever- you truly are made to feel like family here at the Villa Barone Manor, I can't wait to plan another party here in the future!

Villa Barone gave my husband and I the best wedding day that we could have ever asked for. From the moment that we shook hands with Anthony, we knew Villa Barone was the best choice for us. Before we left the venue on our first visit, we were asking to pick a date and sign a contract. Anthony helped us choose the best date and time to accommodate our guests and most importantly, our expectations. We were treated like family. We were in constant communication; Anthony had all the answers to our questions before we could even ask them! Villa Barone not only provided delicious food with an amazing presentation, but also served top shelf service. They were extremely accommodating to our guests with food allergies. My husband insisted that we come out of the elevator into the reception, something that I wasn’t quite sold on in the beginning of our planning process, but I am so glad that I did it. It was a great experience and our guests are still talking about how surprised they were by our entrance into the reception! The entire staff of Villa Barone exceeded all expectations of professionalism that I ever had. Our guests were constantly complimenting the staff. Every staff member was so hands on, involved and ensured the fact that our day went smoothly. We cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work. It’s almost two months later, and our guests, as well as ourselves, still praise our great choice of getting married at Villa Barone.

Worked with Peter for a year before daughter's wedding. He was extremely professional yet down to earth. Gave us advices long the wat that helped save money. He made it do easy!! Day of went off without problems. We were greeted by all the staff and they couldn't do any more for us. We find 't carry anything once we walked through the doors. The decor is really nice. Lighting in the room was so pretty!! Really added to the ambiance. The elevator entrance was a huge hit. Folks were surprised. My don has seen this type of elevator in another venue in Long Island and he said this one was really nice and clean.the whole place is clean!!food was great, service excellent. Basic bar package was really good. Everyone was commenting on how nice it was. Thanks Peter and day of staff

Had two parties at Villa Barone Manor it's beautiful the food is excellent and the staff treats you like family Max is great he will help you with every thing and treats you like family Anthony is wonderful head of the waiters I'll always request him honest and reliable establishment I live an hour away and it's worth the ride Villa Barone Manor for weddings sweet 16 just about everything will be my catering hall .

Peter and the rest of the Villa Barone Manor Staff where absolutely the best. From day one Peter provided clear explanations on services and cost. The day of the wedding was nothing less. The professionalism and quality service made the day run smoothly, even through the glitch of a late officiant. Food taste and quality was awesome. That evening everyone told me it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I am still receiving calls from guest who are still elated at the surprise entrance by me and my husband. If you are looking for a venue for a wedding or special event I recommend the Villa Barone Manor 100%.

The facility is beautiful. The tour we were given was amazing. The prices were super fair for the package we chose.

The Villa Barone Manor is definitely a hidden gem in NYC! The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the venue is beautiful. If you are looking for a spectacular entrance, you will get it here with their hidden elevator where you come out of the dancefloor!! Massimo(Max) is the best, hands down!

From the first day we ever laid eyes on Villa Barone we fell in love. Villa Barone Manor is the most beautiful venue you would ever see. They have ceremony and reception on site.

Before going to visit the venue we had viewed a couple of other sites. None compared and what really made us seal the deal was the quality of the service and the way they make you feel, Our Maitre'D, Anthony Orza and the rest of the team made us feel like family.

Our guest are still raving about the venue and food. Lets not forget about the elevator entrance, it was a big hit no one was expecting that.

If you are looking to have your wedding in a gorgeous reception hall with the most amazing staff... look no further! The Villa Barone Manor in the Bronx is PERFECT. The venue and food are absolutely amazing, but it's the staff that sets this place apart from every where else.

I can't not thank the Villa Barone enough for ensuring our wedding day was perfect. We knew 2 seconds into meeting with Anthony, our wedding was in perfect hands. Anthony or as our daughter refers to him "Uncle Anthony" is extremely professional, caring, warmhearted and calm. His smile, charm and assurance will make the craziest of brides at ease. A few days before my wedding my father and I had a major disagreement and he decided he would not be attending my wedding. At the time I was fine with that, but at the last meeting with Anthony I had a moment and ended up in tears. Anthony was genuine in consoling me and did everything in his power to make sure my day was everything I expected and more! He will always hold a very special place in my heart. Oh and then there is Louie. Louie was by my side the entire evening and truly catered to my daughter (flower girl) and I. We were the Queen and Princess of the evening! He's attention to detail is impeccable. At the tasting my daughter told Louie she liked her pasta with butter. A month later without a reminder or question her pasta is served just the way she likes it. Sometimes, it's the simple things that keep a child from a meltdown.

It is almost 2 months since our wedding and everyone is still talking about how gorgeous the venue was, how wonderful the food was and how amazing the staff was. Our wedding was high energy from the moment it started and the Villa Barone was able to keep up! My husband and I are forever indebted to The Villa Barone Manor. Villa Barone manor is the BEST place for any ocassion, I had recently celebrate my daughter Sweet 16 and everyone love it. The food was excellent the service and the staff amazing.

Anthony & Massimo and the rest of the staff at the Villa Barone Manor hold a special place in my heart. They made sure that I was happy, that everything was perfect and that I loved my wedding. They made my husband and I very comfortable and took care of everything. Unfortunately before I arrived to the hall, I became quite sick. Anthony & Massimo took care of me like I was their own daughter. Anything I needed/wanted they made sure to get it for me. They let me relax and made sure I got better. Whatever they did helped because I was 100% fine before my reception started. The venue is absolutely beautiful especially with the uplighting that the room offers. The food was exceptionally delicious, every single person at my wedding (300 guests) told me they all loved the food. The glass dome entrance from the floor up is a must see and must do for every bride and groom. The guests loved it. I recommend paying a little extra and paying for the sparklers during your 2nd dance after the cake cutting. It looks beautiful for pictures and all the guests are surprised and in awe. I can't thank Anthony & Massimo enough for helping me have my perfect wedding. John & I love you guys.

Had the wedding at Villa Barone Manor. They are very organized, and professional. Great customer service. They went above and beyond to please me (the bride). Erion who was in charge for my wedding, not only helped me organize everything before the wedding day, but played a key role as a coordinator on the wedding day. I will not go anywhere else but here for future events. Highly recommend this place.

Our first appointment with M'd Anthony Orza sealed the deal. The Villa is the most beautiful, jaw dropping place you will ever lay your eyes on! And the staff will WOW you with their professionalism and their attention to detail. This review doesn't do enough justice to show our appreciation. We love the Villa Barone Manor. The receptionist Debbie is my girl and we will visit and remember Anthony for the rest of our lives. He made it happen!!!

We came across the Villa Barone Manor on a tv show and decided to go and see it ourselves. After meeting with Peter in September of 2012 and getting a tour of the building we were certain that this was where we wanted to have our reception on June 9th 2013. Elegant, breath-taking and stunning are just a few words to describe the Barone... The management and staff at the Barone are very professional, friendly and very well organized. The food is mouth watering, and service is TOP CLASS. Everything about the Villa Barone Manor is nothing less of perfection. Our family and friends can't stop talking about our wedding, especially our GRAND ENTRANCE.... We gave the Barone a 5 star but they truly deserve a 10 star.... We must say, it's an experience you must experience for yourself.

We had our Wedding at the Villa Barone Manor in the Bronx on Sunday, October 7, 2012. From the first time we met with Anthony Orza last September, the entire staff made us feel like royalty up until our Wedding Day. The staff at the Villa Barone exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They treat you like family and are always on top of everything. Our guests were Wow'ed by the Cocktail Hour and were talking about it all night until they got their main entrees and saw the Vienese Hour open. They couldn't get over all of the great food. The food and service was outstanding. Our two bridal attendants were very accommodating and made sure that both Anthony (my husband) & I were comfortable and had food and drinks all night long. I would highly recommend the Villa Barone and their staff if you want a memorable wedding that guests will be talking about months from now. The managers and staff at Villa Barone was unbelievable!!! They worked with us from day 1 in regard to the rooms, cocktail, menu, enterance. The cocktail hour was exquisite, there was such a variety of food and plenty for everyone to enjoy. The actual reception was gorgeous, they prepared the room perfectly and were so consciencous of how we wanted it to look. The food throughout the night was spectacular!! I truly can't say enough about how amazing it was and all the help, expert advice and reassurance from them also made all the difference. They truly made my reception a dream come true!!!

This place made our wedding into something truely magical. Everything from begining to end was nothing short of perfect. Everyone was patient, kind and passionate about our wedding. We had our wedding at Villa Barone Manor on August 10, 2012 and we had the best time of our lives
From the moment we first stepped into the Villa a year ago to the moment we left on our wedding night we felt nothing short of being treated like Royalty.   Everything was elegant and done with care.
The words that we heard from my guests were "amazing, fabulous, Amazing, never seen such great service and so much delicious food".  That is what we were looking for and Villa Barone made it happen. The only complaint we heard from our guest was "it's over already". 
  The Elevator entrance was a first for everyone at our wedding and it was just spectacular!  We are waiting for our pictures taken in the Villa's beautiful Garden.  The food was outstanding.  The Location is easy to get to.
From the Maitre'd, Anthony Orza to all his staff there was nothing but personalized professional attention.  We live in Tennessee and with Anthony's help organizing the reception was easy.
The weather on wedding day called for lots of rain and storms, I asked Mr. Orza to take away the rain and with a bright smile he said "I'll see what I can do". When we got to Villa after our Ceremony, there was nothing but sunshine.  We were greeted by Mr. Orza and with the bright smile he said "it doesn't rain at the Villa".....while it may have been blessings from above, it certainly felt like he made it happen.
We were so impressed that we are planning our one year anniversary at the Villa.

Everything at Villa Barone was perfect. The individuals running the wedding were amazing. I would recommend this venue to any bride that wants an absolutely stunning reception hall. The food and room were perfect. Villa Barone Manor is definitely a top choice for any bride that wants an over the top wedding! I love this place. It is absolutely gorgeous.

You can't say enough about the Villa Barone Manor In the Bronx. The owners, Maitre D's and staff are all professional and willing to make your event the most memorable occasion. No matter if you're a Bride or Groom, the Parents or just a guest at their establishment, you are treated with the utmost professionalism. You'll never walk away disappointed or hungry - the food is outstanding! I will continue to recommend this venue to anyone and look forward to being a guest there again.

Easily the greatest day of our lives thanks to the glamour, the professionalism and the impeccable service by Anthony Orza the entire staff of the Villa Barone Manor. Two years later, our guests are still talking about it! Everything and every detail from the day we booked the venue to the wedding day was optimally performed. The only slight hiccup was that if you want to have the chairs in the reception hall decorated, it's an extra charge, but that issue was quickly taken care of, which speaks volumes about their flexibility and ability to compromise if a problem should occur. This is an extremely important event in a newlywed couples' lives and the people at Villa Barone fully understand that. If you only want to do it once and you want to do it big, the Villa Barone is the place, period.

Our wedding at the Villa Barone Manor was awesome! Everyone is still talking about it 6 months later. Tony Francescone was instrumental in helping us to plan our special day, and he worked with us and pur budget to get the most bang for our buck. Also, the cake they provide dwas beautiful, and delicious! Overall I could not have asked for a better wedding day and the Villa Barone Manor was absolutely fantatstic.

Our reception was great from the awesome cocktail hour (and a ½) to the Viennese hour. The food was amazing and our maitre de was great. People still mention how great the food was and that they loved all the choices. Everyone also loved our grand entrance, they have an elevator that comes out of the floor in the middle of the dance floor.

They are absolutely amazing, they accomidate you with whatever you need / desire.

My husband and I got married at the Villa Barone on Aug. 30th. Anthony Orzo and his team were all absolutely amazing from start to finish!! We were so pleased with how Anthony took the time to really understand what we wanted and were willing to work with us to make it all happen. Like most brides, I was constantly emailing him with questions and he was great about being patient and responsive. We had so many people come up to us during the wedding and after the fact and tell us how amazing the food and service were. They especially loved the bride and groom entrance and the exquisite viennese hour! All of the staff were so helpful through our entire planning process and on the day of, especially Carlo! We had an amazing time and it will definitely be a day we forever remember! Thanks Villa Barone!

Villa Barone is number 1 a beautiful place to have a wedding reception, they even have a place to take pictures. They were very professional there, they were on target with everything and they keep checking to see if my husband and I were satisfied and if we need anything at all. I would defiently recommend the Villa Barone Manor!!!!

I was married June 1 at Villa Barone and it was PERFECT. Everything went off without a hitch and we were treated like royalty. We had a ton of support, help and guidance the whole way through. I dealt with Peter who was great but who was sometimes hard to get in touch with, that’s the only reason I didn’t give a perfect score. But I absolutely recommend them hands down, 100 percent. Our guests said that we had the best wedding they’ve ever seen and this was from people who have been to dozens of weddings over the years. Food was amazing, ambiance was beautiful and the day was perfect. Highly recommend.

The Villa Barone Manor is a beautiful venue filled with workers that value quality and professionalism. I had to meet with them several days to discuss the details, make payments and bring in the souvenirs for them to display during my wedding. Each time they were accommodating and had a clear vision of what I wanted. The food was GREAT! They allowed me to bring in outside DJ's, florists, cake and picture (step and repeat) booths as well as photographers and videographers. Their garden is beautiful and available for use for pictures in addition to their stunning decor. It is a classy venue with gloved waiters and an elevator that rises from the floor. The mangers are not always available, but would get back to me within 24 hours. They were patient and friendly. The plates are a bit pricey, (negotiate the price), but I don't regret one penny after seeing their service.

Villa Barone is everything and more, my guests absolutely loved the venue. They were professional and attentive, and flexible. Loved working with Peter and Max.

Place was beautiful, but limited as they require you to have 150 guests or more. If I had to provide a critique, I disliked the cocktail area as it was a thin area behind a wall and would be better if an open space, not directly when you walk into the venue.v All in all, the staff was friendly and the rooms were nice. Ceremony options were not available.

My partner & I did our wedding there and I have to say the quality of there food was very GOOD! all of our guest couldn't stop talking about the food there. There Professionalism was great and they treated us like family. My partner and I was looking for a place where we felt like we can be open they are very gay friendly there. The value is good and the place is clean. All of all I give them a 4 star June 03, 2012 I got marry there on June 03, 2013 I will go back to have dinner there after 1 year can't wait looking forward to eating there.

Pro: Everything went well with Villa Barone. From first visiting the place, to signing the contract, throughout our reception. The place was beautiful and everything was ready when my party arrived. The guests that arrived early for the reception was treated very well. The food was served for those early comers. Time was well maintained. Everything started and finished on time. This is a great place and quite reasonable for the price that we paid for. Cake was beautiful. They were able to accomodate us with a separate cocktail room for free.

Con: Another couple was shown all the way inside our Bridal Suite as prospective clients while my party was having cocktail in the Bridal Room as if we were not there. The champagne was served late. We felt rushed through our pictures so cocktail hour could begin. (Not sure if that's CON for other people.) Our banquet manager whom we signed a contract with quit without anybody informing us. We had to find out when we were booking our final meeting a week before the wedding. The place is still beautiful however it is starting to show its age. A sweet 16 party was held on the ballroom next to ours and we could hear the party from the other room.
