Christine Sent on 08/20/2025Dream wedding at the Victorian Belle: Magical, Accessible, Affordable, and totally Stress-free!
The Victorian Belle was everything we dreamed of for our wedding and more. The mansion and gardens are absolutely breathtaking, magical, romantic, and full of flowers. During our ceremony, bunnies even popped out of the hedges to watch, which felt straight out of a fairy tale! The lighting in the reception tent was warm and enchanting, and the whole atmosphere made the day unforgettable.
The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. They were kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was stress-free. They set everything up for us, kept us on track with the timeline, and even brought drinks from the bar without us having to ask. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process — Diana, the coordinator, was the friendliest, most helpful person we could have hoped for, always quick to respond and endlessly accommodating.
As a bride in a wheelchair, accessibility was a big concern for me, and I can’t say enough about how thoughtful and inclusive they were. They rearranged furniture to ensure ease of movement, set up the bridal suite on the ground floor so I could get ready comfortably, and made every adjustment possible to ensure my day was just as easy and beautiful as it would be for anyone else. That level of care meant so much.
The catering, which comes with the venue, was absolutely divine. Guests raved that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The staff let us fully customize the menu, including vegan options for things that weren't listed as vegan, and everything was delicious. They even packed up leftovers for us to take home, which we loved.
Flexibility was a huge strength of this venue. They let us customize décor, set up special tables for speakers and a memorial area, and made the whole day feel like it was truly ours. Our guests are still telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended, and we couldn’t agree more.
If you’re looking for a venue that’s gorgeous, affordable, accessible, and filled with caring, professional staff, I can’t recommend the Victorian Belle highly enough. They gave us the wedding of our dreams.Victorian Belle's reply:

Everyone at the Victorian Belle was a dream to work with, and the space was the perfect backdrop to our wedding. The house and grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly, professional, and experienced, and the in-house catering is great. It was really nice to use their catering and tables, chairs, settings, etc. rather than have to find more vendors. We had our perfect wedding at the Victorian Belle and would recommend the venue to anyone.Victorian Belle's reply:

We had our wedding in July of 2024 at the Belle - working with them was super easy and the venue looked gorgeous. We had lots of compliments from our guests on how cool the property was.
Pros - _The venue is extremely spacious. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing in four distinct areas. The guests could also enjoy the house as well. We had about 100 guests for reference. _There are many covered areas for rain or hot days, and the house has air conditioning and heating. Our wedding day was in the 90s and our guests were able to stay cool inside the house. _The team we worked with was always quick to respond, very organized, and overall just nice people who made wedding planning less stressful. The staff onsite for our actual wedding was great too. _So many rentals and extras are included compared to other venues. It was great to not have to deal with an additional rental company and it made it such a good value too._They have a lot of room for getting ready, and two distinct areas for each spouse to have their own space and privacy.
Things to keep in mind - _The house is decorated very true to the era in which it was built, so you must appreciate old homes and style. This is definitely a pro for some people! _You need to use their catering and bar service. While the food was generally good and not expensive, it is Peruvian inspired which might not be exactly what every couple is looking for. You are able to bring in your own dessert and they cut and served our dessert free of additional charge. _You aren't allowed to bring in your own food or beverage even before the event starts / when you are getting ready which was kind of a bummer because they have a limited daytime menu.
Overall, it was such a beautiful venue to hold our wedding at! We would definitely recommend.Victorian Belle's reply:

Perfect All Around
Could not have picked a better venue! They were amazing in helping to bring my vision to life, the catering and bartending staff were professional and amazing, the chef nailed the menu and everything was beautiful! It rained for a few minutes and they jumped into action to keep everyone dry! Plus, it doesn't hurt that the mansion and grounds are a gorgeous backdrop!Victorian Belle's reply:

We used Victorian Belle for our wedding and are so glad that we did. From the beginning everyone we worked with there was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I loved that they have their own in house catering service and that they provide so many items like chairs, tables, cutlery. It cut down on the cost we would have had to spend on an outside caterer and party rental company. Our party had a lot of dietary needs and they were to handle them all! As someone with a gluten sensitivity, it was so amazing to have a party where I didn’t have to worry about if I could eat something because they were able to accommodate my request to make almost all food gluten free.
Everyone at Victorian Belle were also great at helping our guests stay cool during an unexpected heat wave during our wedding. There was plenty of shade and they set up misters and fans. Although the wedding itself was all outside and under covered tents and gazebos, our guests were able to go into the mansion to cool off in AC.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding. I will also be looking at their event calendar moving forward for the different High Teas and performances they offer the other times of the year.

Dream day at the Victorian Belle
We can't recommend the Victorian Belle highly enough. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, accommodating, and professional. We were planning from across the country and Diana expertly juggled emails, meetings with our local family and friends, multiple tours, and all of our questions over a year and a half.
We had 130 guests and it felt like a good number for the venue; everyone fit in the dinner tent well. The venue feels very private and it was great that guests could roam the full house, lawn, and gazebo. The vibe is so relaxed -- looking out and seeing everyone dancing in the gazebo, playing croquet, or just sitting and chatting gave the day a magical atmosphere.
The staff was flexible and happy to accommodate our whims -- a cocktail hour before the ceremony, a jazz band, a trumpet player on the balcony, and the Pip's Donuts truck in the alley. The food was delicious and accommodated a range of dietary needs. We enjoyed all of our choices of vegetable pasta, salmon, caesar salad, and mushroom risotto. We also tried vegan options at our tasting and they were fantastic. Drinks (margaritas, berry mocktail, wine + beer) were great as well.
Finally, while we had lovely weather, having full rain and heat alternatives (including AC in the house) was also huge relief during the planning process.
Thank you to the staff at the Belle for such a wonderful wedding day!

Everyone at the Victorian Belle was knowledgeable, helpful, and took care to make sure every detail was in place! It unexpectedly rained, and they had tents, umbrellas, and were able to relocate the ceremony into the large gazebo without any issues. It was an absolutely perfect day! We recently had our wedding here, and it was the most magical day! The venue is so beautiful- we easily had 160 people there. We had a ceremony in one part of the garden, dinner in the other part, and then a live band in the gazebo for dancing.
They have their own kitchen, and the food was amazing! It was also one less vendor to coordinate.
The people who work there are all fantastic, and they were super accommodating with covid issues that made us reschedule 4 times.

Usually, I don't write venues reviews but I'm making an exception for The Victorian Belle because Kylie and her team were just that phenomenal. I say that as a wedding planner with more than 50 weddings under her belt.
The team at the Belle really went above and beyond for a wedding we worked together in May 2022, putting in countless hours before the wedding to get up-to-speed and showing up with positive energy and hard work on the wedding day.
I was impressed by everyone I met on their team, from the main venue lead to the newest employees on the catering team. All were eager to help, kind, and excited to celebrate the couple and their guests.

Beautiful!!
My husband and I had our elopement here. It was a great experience even with being stressed. They were SO wonderful with having a person who could help be a witness. They also had cheese and crackers, water, sparkling cider, and Champagne! My husbands mom took photos and a video. I mostly have pictures of the place more than anything at the moment.Victorian Belle's reply:

I was honored to be the officiant for a wedding that took place last weekend. I met Kylie and her team during the rehearsal. Kylie was so professional and personal! She gave us a tour of the mansion while we waited for the wedding party to arrive. She is such a sincere and real down to earth person. AMAZING! Very beautiful

The Belle exceeded all of our expectations! We wanted a local venue that was convenient for people to get to, had a beautiful landscape, would rent us tables/seating, and served great food. It's all about the food! Wow, were we stunned. The Belle is a great near-one stop shop. It has a fantastic setting with trees and flowers perfectly manicured around the property which helped alleviate our need to buy more flowers and decor, the house is in immaculate condition and feels like a luxurious walk through the early 1900's, the tables and linens that come standard were beautiful, and all of our guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. As the bride, I must say I agree. After having looked around pretty extensively in Portland, the Belle was a great value and incredibly convenient. We had so much fun with the planning process, the sampling, and picking out linens/colors. And the day of, the staff was absolutely on top of it. My husband and I loved it, and our parents couldn't have been happier. -

I absolutely feel like one of the best choices we made was to have our wedding at this venue. To begin with, it is STUNNING. All of our pictures turned out amazing from the beautiful scenery and all of our guests raved about how beautiful it was. Our wedding was also a huge blast. I had several people tell me it was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to. Part of this was the space, which allowed for a lot of movement and activities (exploring the amazing house, yard games, dancing, etc).
Also, the staff was really incredible throughout the process. They were very responsive to all my questions and inquiries and made me feel like I was in good hands the whole time. Also, I have a very large and loud family and the staff handled them with grace and efficiency and I appreciate it so much. Thank you Taylor and staff -

The Victorian Belle is the perfect wedding venue! We had such an amazing experience. We loved that it is not only a gorgeous setting, but that they do the catering as well. We were so happy that they took care of the set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, etc. The staff is so helpful, accommodating, and kind. Joe (director), Jessica (day of coordinator), and Jeff (chef) were all quick to answer questions, assist in any way possible, and help us have a beautiful, stress-free wedding day. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. For example, they provided vegan dishes for some of our guests, and hunted down the mother-of-the-groom’s lost glasses. Our guests continue to comment on how gorgeous the Victorian Belle was, how much they enjoyed the food, and how they loved exploring the inside of the house, as well as the amazing grounds. We would definitely recommend the Victorian Belle! -

The grounds were beautiful and flowers bloomed just in time for us! I had no complaints about the venue itself. It was beautiful and the staff is all very kind and helpful!

Perfect All-inclusive venue!
We had originally selected another venue for our wedding that fell through after 2 years of being postponed due to COVID. When we decided that we might need another venue this one stood out. I couldn't be happier with how well the wedding day turned out, minus the rain. The venue was prepared and after a torrential down poor all day the day before, during our rehearsal. The venue has a lot of cute clear umbrellas we were able to use during the rehearsal and during the ceremony if we needed them. With all that rain, it looked like we were going to be in a pit of mud on the wedding day. I even bought rain boots for the occasion, but Kylie and the crew at Victorian Belle were prepared, dumping water buckets, rearranging tables, and helping us to change our ceremony layout. They were accommodating with our slightly untraditional ceremony ideas and willing to work with us to make our day special, especially since we had to change up our entire plan the day before. Luckily, with the change in weather and the diligence in prepping the space, it all turned out beautifully.
When we were planning on selecting a new venue, we were hoping to find something that included food with the reception to make things easier for us. I was a little nervous because we couldn't taste any of the items beforehand. Jules let us know that everything was delicious because the chef was a former chef at Andina, a fantastic Peruvian restaurant. We really like food so we were still nervous and the menu was small and didn't have much in terms of vegetarian and vegan food. Since a large portion of our guests prefer vegetarian options, I think the chef made the call to update the menu and we got a revised menu with additional vegan and vegetarian options. I can honestly say all the food was delicious!! I wish I could've taken home more of it. We ordered the beef, the chicken, and the Peruvian paella and they were all equally wonderful! The appetizers and drinks were fabulous as well. The only bummer was I had to put down my drinks for pictures and every time I did my drink was cleared so I couldn't finish it, even if it was brand new! So the silver lining in all that was that I was able to remember the wedding and the staff working day of were extremely quick to clean up and keep everything nice.
Originally the venue rental was only 8 hours, but they changed the rental time to a full day, which I was so grateful for. It really allowed us to enjoy the rooms upstairs while we got ready. There was a lot of space for both the bride and groom parties to hang out and get ready without running into each other. We had plenty of time for hair, makeup, lunch, and just hanging out.
When we were preparing for the wedding I feel like we had plenty of opportunities to meet with the event coordinators to walk through the venue and pick out materials. They have a lot of inventory on hand to save money on many of the table items like tablecloths, candles, and table decor. They also have a variety of lawn games you can rent which we did to give people options that weren't dancing. There are so many different spaces to explore, take pictures, hideaway for intimate moments at this venue and it all feels like it belongs to you on your day. It's as comfortable in all the places as it is beautiful.
Jules was very helpful with getting us going, but Kylie was super helpful, welcoming, and really understood our vision as we reached the home stretch. I did find that when wedding season hits, it can be a lot more difficult to get in touch with the venue, it takes up to 48 hours to get a response sometimes (it's a lot quicker when its your wedding week that's approaching), but they are super helpful at answering all your questions thoroughly. I 1000% wish I could do it again, I am so bummed it's over! It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend the Victorian Belle to anyone!Victorian Belle's reply:

So many of our guests kept telling us throughout our wedding, "This venue is SO BEAUTIFUL" and asked us how we found it. Honestly, we found the Victorian Belle online by chance. We knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding and we knew that we were only going to have somewhere between 75-100 guests. This venue is perfect for smaller weddings. Even though they can accommodate larger weddings, there is something especially intimate about the stately white Victorian house, the two beautiful gardens, and the large open-air gazebo that invites guests in for dancing (or serves as a rainy-day back up plan for your ceremony space). The property recently changed event management companies, with Taylor and Lauren being the two folks you'll meet with as you plan your special day together. They are super friendly, and want to make your special day flow as smoothly as possible. They have a new chef too, who we thought was super talented, so check our their revamped offerings in the months to come. Also, catering comes as a package deal with your venue rental, so that can be a plus or minus for some folks (it was a plus for us so we didn't have to worry about finding our own caterer!). And the bar /alcohol and permits are all handled by the venue too. You can bring in your own cake/wedding desserts though!
I would definitely recommend checking this venue out for your wedding if you want a beautiful outdoors space, that also has a lot of flexibility as to where you want to stage everything (and where your guests can hang out throughout the night). There are lots of little nooks and crannies as well for great photo ops throughout the day/night too. Oh! And it's super convenient to get to. It's right off the Columbia Blvd. exit on I-5. And there is a Max station only about a four-minute walk away, so guests that want to have a little extra to drink during the wedding, don't have to worry about driving. There are two parking lots across from the venue as well, and street parking for those coming in cars. -

We had an amazing time at our wedding at the Victorian Belle. The grounds were gorgeous, the food was delicious and all made our day truly magical. The staff was really wonderful at being flexible in adjusting our timeline to accommodate some late comers due to the Portland traffic which allowed everyone important to us to be able to see our special day. We are so happy with how the day turned out. Thank you Taylor and Nolan for all your hard work in making our event a success! -

Laurel Sent on 07/24/2018The Victorian Belle is stunning! With such an amazing venue, we hardly did any extra decorating and all our guests were impressed! Jade and Joe were such a big help. They handled everything day of.
Victorian Belle does their own catering, and their chef is on point! The food was delicious, fresh, and abundant! At the end, there was a lot of food left over. The staff packed it in individual lunch boxes for guests and family to take home. We brought several of these packed lunches over to some shelters to donate. The packaging made that easy.
Highly recommend this venue. -

This venue was a place I saw in a magazine a long time before getting engaged and I fell in love with it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have an outdoor wedding, but as soon as we toured the venue I was in awe. The Victorian Belle is such a magical place and was perfect for our 1940s themed wedding. Taylor was so pleasant and very attentive to my needs. I absolutely loved her. The security gaurd noticed all our guestbook table items and gift table items were getting poured on and immediately took it upon himself to being those items inside right as the ceremony began to start. It was so thoughtful. All staff members were very helpful and flexible when we found out it was going to rain. Nolan rebussled my dress multiple times throughout the night and helped us figure out the timeline. -

I am really upset to leave this review.
Initially my now husband and I were supposed to get married a week after Oregon announced its lockdown for COVID, which we tried to reschedule however the Belle decided to cancelled our wedding date leaving us to scramble 9 months before our available date.
When we tried to sign the initial contract, they had just fired their manager so things were scattered, however, we loved the atmosphere and pushed forward. Then we had 2 coordinators before our day - neither of whom kept or passed along our notes. Then after postpone and having another 2 coordinators from the Belle (who they did not communicate had left and been assigned new ones), we requested to work with a manager (the coordinators were very nice, but it was hard to get anyone to respond to us and we were looking for consistency and communication).
We found a new date and took time off to go there and re-sign the contract only to find no one there when we arrived. 45 mins and multiple calls later, we finally get ahold of someone telling us Bennett (who we could hear in the background) would call us directly. He had his secretary call us. And while she was very kind, it was completely inappropriate to send her to call, as we were expecting him. We told her while we appreciated her reaching out, it was his job to call us and he needs to email us to find time to reschedule.
Instead they emailed to cancel our contract and offer us part of our money back (~$4k). Only part because they didn't keep accurate records of our transactions. We had to search and find them (accurate total was over $9k). In short, it's a beautiful location, but you cannot count on them to communicate, follow through, keep accurate notes or transaction data, or even have the same person to talk to.
I'm so glad we had a different venue who were able to deliver a worry-free wedding. Something I definitely couldn't count on from the Victorian Belle. Run. Far away.Victorian Belle's reply:

You were understandably frustrated with a number of things: planning a wedding in 2019 for March of 2020, only to have the COVID pandemic postpone your celebration to 2022. During that time span, we did experience staff changes as we, like many small businesses, were closed and unable to retain a significant portion of our staff. We lost some valuable employees to other states and careers. We have also gained a number of talented and caring individuals of whom we are very proud. Undoubtedly while planning your wedding, you felt the weight of the pandemic's unknown duration as well as lack of communication about your very special day. We apologize for our missed steps!
Weddings are some of the most important experiences of our lives and we sincerely hope yours was beautiful and joyous. Congratulations and best wishes for a happy marriage!
