We planned a destination wedding in Savannah GA from Northern California. We could not make up our minds for the life of us on a venue. I found Vic's on Wedding Wire and it said it was relatively all inclusive - and let me tell you, they are NOT WRONG! First off, their events team (Megan and Cat), are amazing individuals. Megan in particular dealt with me emailing probably every other week to every other day as we got closer to the event, and answered all of my questions, helped me find solutions to problems, and then was there the day of to make everything go smoothly! It was SUCH a beautiful day. We ended up renting out all of upstairs and it was so spacious, everyone had an amazing time. The food was to die for! So were the table arrangements! Thanks to Vic's, we didn't need to contract with many other vendors. The day was so seamless and perfect. We also had both our ceremony and reception there - they handled the room flip so well!! We barely noticed, and Megan came up with some great solutions for that as well. I could not recommend them enough. If you're not sure where to get married in Savannah, get married here!! You won't regret it!

Amazing experience
We booked Vic's as our reception venue and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. They were very responsive from day of booking all the way through to the big day. Everything was set up exactly how we had planned. Service was excellent and food was amazing as always. We originally booked their medium sized private event room, The Victor Hall, but we were informed a few days prior to our wedding day that no one had booked their largest event room, The Stoddard Room, for that day and the event coordinator offered us a complementary upgrade!! We were so impressed with the level of service we received from Vic's and would highly recommend working them.

Excellent customer service from booking to execution
We held our wedding welcome party at Vic's. Everything we discussed was well executed and delivered beyond our expectations. Marnie and Katherine were very easy to work with and provided exemplary customer service from booking to execution. The food was delicious and the room was beautiful. I highly recommend hosting an event at Vic's.

Amazing team!
Joey and his team were absolutely amazing. We were involuntary members of the COVID Wedding Club and unfortunately could not have our event. That being said Joey was extremely accommodating, flexible and above all understanding of our situation. We were able to work out a fair resolution for all parties. We are extremely sad we could not work with Joey and the Vic's team in the capacity we would have liked as just from our limited experience with them it was bound to be a great event. Highly recommend!

BEST wedding reception venue!
Marnie and Joey at Vic’s on the River made our wedding day dreams come true! We had a sit down dinner reception in the Stoddard Room with about 60 people. Covid did not make things easy but Marnie just rolled with everything when we had to make changes and guest list edits. She helped us make our menu selections to work with our gluten free and vegetarian guests, and had everything decorated perfectly the day of. The flowers they chose for the event matched our wedding flowers exactly and the layout of the room was exactly as I imagined it! My husband and I don’t drink so we had a dry reception and Marnie helped us put together some fun non-alcoholic drink options that our guests just raved over! A delicious cranberry ginger spritzer, sparkling cider, and the most AMAZING hot chocolate bar really helped the event to feel extra special and cozy. And of course it goes without saying that the food at Vic’s is top notch. We can’t recommend Vic’s enough!!

Five-star November wedding
We had the most amazing experience with Joey and Justyna at our wedding reception. The moment we stepped into the banquet room, our mouths dropped because the venue was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The food was incredible as well- per special request, the chef made his own version of croquetas as a surprise to the Cuban groom and, even a year later, he still can't stop talking about them! Not to mention, before we could even reach the restaurant after picture-taking, Joey found us with our favorite cocktails- they thought of everything!

We absolutely love working with Joey and Justyna at Vic's! Every single wedding and event is flawless. They are so kind, organized, and absolute pros! The view is stunning- right on the water, it feels so private and cozy, but has enough room for a party. Parking, unlike practically everywhere else in Savannah, is EASY! They have dedicated valet parking, and if the lot is full, there are several garages nearby. Last, but certainly not least, the food! The chefs are incredibly talented, delivering stunning, delicious dishes, whether received as a guest or vendor. Wonderful Welcome Dinner
We had a destination wedding and decided to host our welcome dinner/rehearsal dinner at Vic's in their Dieter's Den. It was the best decision and we still hear raving reviews from our guests. Affordable and beautiful, Joey and Justyna made sure that our dreams of the perfect dinner came true. The food was delicious, the staff was accommodating and kind, the menu and centerpiece flowers were stunning(!!!) and the ability to play music from a speaker made the night all the sweeter. What a wonderful night and memory!

The perfect wedding!
I had my wedding ceremony and reception on 10/26/19 at Vic's on the river in the Stoddard Hall and the whole event from beginning to end was amazing! Joey and Justyna were awesome and were always there when I needed something. They were super responsive and so accommodating with our schedules when we needed to have a meeting. They were always right on top of things and executed everything wonderfully. They kept my glass full along with guests glasses full all night. The food was amazing and we received so many compliments on the ribeye, scallops and chicken. I had not seen the room prior to walking down the aisle and it blew me away. The pictures came out beautifully all throughout the venue. Everything looked exactly like I had described to Justyna and Joey down to tiniest detail. The flowers were provided by Vic's and were absolutely beautiful and matched the florist's flowers beautifully. The staff were so attentive to all of the guests. It ended up raining and so we could not go outside in between the room flip and Joey moved us into cocktail hour so smoothly! I changed into a cocktail dress after the ceremony and Joey was right there to grab it and kept it safe until I picked it up the next day along with all of our things that were packed nicely to pick up. They made our day stress free so that we were able to enjoy our day. It was affordable and within budget and I would not hesitate to book Vic's again for any events that I may have in the future. I can never thank Vic's on the River, Justyna, Joey, and the staff enough for going above and beyond to give us the best experience on our wedding day!

What a perfect day!
Vic's was amazing from start to finish! Communication was amazing especially considering we had never been to Georgia and planned our wedding from Michigan. I couldn't be more happy with the way things turned out. The service was amazing and the lunch went so smoothly without any hiccups. Everyone loved the amazing food that was cooked to PERFECTION and everyone wants to go back for more. The den was perfect for our small party with beautiful views overlooking the river. We already plan on returning to celebrate our anniversary with Vic's. What an amazing experience.

Vic's on the River was truly amazing! They hosted our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception. They provide flowers of your choice, tables, chairs, linens, set up of decor, the wonderful space, and delicious food options! Joey and Justyna made everything so easy, they were great with answering all my crazy questions and explained everything wonderfully! My favorite thing about Vic's was how affordable it is, with everything they provide to you and the location you can't beat it! They made our wedding absolutely flawless and we highly recommend choosing Vic's for your wedding!

Beautiful stress-free wedding with great food
We had our wedding at Vic's this past April and it was beautiful. The room was set up exactly as I requested; the specific service details were completed as requested as well. The flowers provided by Vics were beautiful and matched those provided by my florist perfectly. The service staff was amazing. We had a small number of guests (40) and they remembered everyone's drink order and kept my glass full all night. The attention paid to bride and groom was memorable. Overall, everything was perfect. People said the wedding was the most fun they've been to and that the food was amazing.

The perfect place!
Vic's was amazing!! We originally had booked the Olde Pink House, which unfortunately was closed due to a recent fire - but everything happens for a reason! If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely choose Vic's on the River. I am over the moon with our wedding reception. Justyna and Joey were so incredible with organizing the event. They not only helped our guests find where we were having our reception, Justyna even met my husband and me outside and held and umbrella for us (since it only rained while we were outside from the church going to Vic's of course lol). Justyna even helped my mom bustle my dress...she is beyond a pro, and made it so easy and special for all of us! The food selection was fantastic, the tables were set beautifully, and the staff were the best. They even had someone run and grab a bottle of blush champagne because they heard it was my favorite! The flowers and centerpieces that were provided by Vic's not only matched my personal flower colors perfectly, they were gorgeous and way better than I ever expected. We are still in awe of how wonderful the entire experience was with Vic's on the River and so so thankful that we were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception there. It will forever be one of my favorite places, and I can't wait to go back! I can't say thank you enough times for the amazing memories Vic's on the River provided. (P.S.all of that and we were under budget!!)

Picture Perfect Vow Renewal Luncheon
The special events team at Vic’s on the River is amazing. We hosted our vow renewal lunch in the Dieter’s Den on 2/16/19 and I can’t imagine doing it anywhere else. I am a wedding planner and I knew that when it came to my own day, I needed a team who would take care of everything from the food to the flowers to implementing the decor that I provided.
From the first meeting, I was treated like royalty, even though my event was to be small and relatively inexpensive in comparison with some of the big receptions that are hosted at Vic’s. They helped me choose the menu and the layout for the room, and my two vegetarian guests were accommodated beautifully. I sent a few photos for floral inspiration and then dropped off my vases, decorations, linens, chargers, and napkins and left the rest to the team at Vic’s. I was so impressed with the floral arrangements and with the attention that was paid to even the smallest details of the decor. Even my napkins were folded exactly like the photo I sent.
Our guests were equally impressed with the quality of the food and the top-tier service. Everything was picture-perfect and delicious.
We hired an outside coordinator for the day, to organize the ceremony and the timeline, and the staff at Vic’s worked with her to pack up all the decorations and rentals and get them into her vehicle after the event.
I am so glad I chose this venue. Vic’s made sure that I had a perfect day and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, conveniently located venue to host anything from a baby shower to a Black Tie wedding reception.

Amazing venue and team!
We hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at Vic's. Their staff provided us with 5 diamond concierge service to make the event memorable and exceed expectations. Joey was responsive and helped us plan the event from Florida . His experience in event planning was especially helpful. The Vic's team flawlessly executed which gave me tremendous peace of mind....I left everything I wanted to have done with them the day before the event, went to the rehearsal and walked into perfection. I highly recommend this beautiful venue!

I don’t even know where to begin. Our wedding was a completely wonderful experience thanks to Joey and Justyna. Our wedding was a destination wedding, so we mostly communicated through email and multiple phone calls, to which they were always timely answered and patient with my questions. The actual wedding day was so organized, laid back, and intimate. Both Joey and Justyna really listened to our vision and ideas to help make our day so enjoyable for our friends and family. The food, from the hor d'oeuvres to the dessert, was amazing. The service staff was kind and accommodating. And most of all, the venue was gorgeous. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful wedding day. I highly recommend this venue and their wonderful staff for any event, or even just a great dinner!

We couldn't recommend more highly Vic's on the River for your wedding reception. The events team of Joey and Justyna were simply amazing for the 14 months leading up to our wedding, on the day/night, and after. Flexible, energetic, understanding and fun.
The food is simply amazing, and the size of the room offers the best mix of intimate and spacious for a truly engaging atmosphere.

We couldn't have been happier with Vic's on the River as our wedding reception location for October 27, 2017!
Location- We chose this location based on our previous experience at their restaurant. The food is stellar, which is very important to us. We had to make a few menu changes due to religion dietary restrictions, and Vic's was extremely accommodating. We had several complements from guests on how excellent the food was! We used the Stoddard Room, which is lovely. The brick, wood, beautiful chandeliers, and view of the river complete the space. The elegance of the room means little decor is needed. I'm not artsy and have a demanding job, so this was very important to me. That being said, you can always add additional decor if you are interested.
Service- Joey and Justyna (special events leads) are top notch. I didn't hire a planner and live in NYC, so their experience and depth of knowledge in the local market was extremely valuable! Justyna and Joey provided vendor recommendations, guidance, and really went above and beyond. When we arrived in Savannah for the wedding we dropped off our supplies and they handled everything, which was fantastic. Justyna and Joey even used the photos I provided of my bouquets to prepare centerpieces that were a perfect match! On our wedding day I couldn't have asked for better service. Joey is truly a jack of all trades. He gave us our first drink and one of each of our appetizers for our guests at a small private bar. This short time alone was perfect! He even bustled my dress, got us ready for announcement, brought us drinks, stepped in at the bar, and was always there for us if we needed anything. He is truly one of those people who will step in anywhere it's needed, irrespective of whether it's part of the job.
All in all, I couldn't have been happier. I'd work with Vic's on the River, Joey, and Justyna again in a heartbeat!

We were blown away by the service at Vic's. We initially came to Vic's the night we were engaged for dinner and then decided to have our rehearsal dinner there as well. We selected three entrees to be served family style and the amount of food that each person received was amazing. Everything was plated and all three entree's were on each persons plate and the sides were at the table to pass around. The food was delicious and OH the cheesecake (WOW!). Joey and his staff was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. they checked in on me and my fiancé to make sure we had drinks and everything was going smoothly. The fact that Vic's accommodated everything (flowers, tables, chairs, table clothes, TV for slideshow, etc) saved us a ton!

Words cannot describe how awesome Joey & Justyna are, especially as someone who didn't have a wedding planner. They were super fast answering my endless email questions. When I dropped off the things I wanted out at our reception, I just told them to put things where they thought it made sense. They provided table numbers and an easel for the seating chart, along with candles and floral centerpieces ( we sent them our pinterest and the centerpieces matched the bouquets so perfectly). It was all set up so beautifully. During the reception, we were treated so well and they made sure we got to eat-even packed up our leftovers for us to take home! I had a dress mishap and Joey came to my rescue so I could get back on the dance floor. They also completely handled our sparkler send-off. We are still getting texts about how awesome the food was. This is the place if you want to have a stress free night that you actually enjoy!!

I used Vic's on the River for my wedding this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Incredibly easy to work with. Able to do everything over email/phone since I live in SC. The day before the wedding I dropped of decorations and they said they would decorate no problem. When we arrived after the ceremony, I couldn't be any happier. We had the Dieters Den space with 32 people. It was perfect for that. They did an impeccable job of decorating and organizing the room and it was exactly what we imagined. The service and food was fantastic. Everyone was full and happy at the end of the night. Also, everyone always had a full drink. We were able to come back to Vic's the following morning to collect the decorations. Easy. Delicious. Great service. Helped make our wedding day perfect.

We planned our wedding in Savannah as a destination wedding and from day one Joey and Justyna have been extremely responsive and accommodating. They made the set up and clean up process painless for us and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Everything looked beautiful and the service was second to none. I've heard so many brides say they didn't get a chance to eat on their wedding day. That wasn't an issue because we had everything delivered to our table. The food and drinks were fantastic! I had my wedding reception at Vic's in October of 2016, in both Victor and Stoddard Halls. The space was the perfect size for our 140 guests, and Joey and Justyna are the bomb.com when it comes to coordination. They decorated the space exactly like I envisioned, they dealt with all of our crazy questions, and they were a constant source of calm throughout the wedding planning process. Joey and Justyna thought of all the details from bringing food out to the bridal party while we took pictures to making sure my groom and I never had an empty glass. They also created centerpieces for our tables and floral accents for the buffet tables all of which was included in the cost of the venue (this alone boggles my mind). The arrangements were exactly what we wanted and made the room so elegant! The food was also amazing - I literally had one guest tell me they had a dream about the crawfish beignets a few days later. We were so, so pleased with our experience at Vic's, and I am so glad that we had our reception here. If you're looking for a venue in Savannah with five-star food, top-notch service and gorgeous views, Vic's is seriously the best!

One of our first wedding planning decisions was to choose Vic's for our reception. I am so very glad we did! They made the entire planning process painless and easy and were very responsive to e-mails and answering questions. When we arrived at our reception, it was one of their event organizers who bustled my dress and reminded us to "have fun." Our wedding was the weekend of July 4, a chaotic time in a tourist town. The way Vic's handled the event, no one would have known it was a busy holiday weekend. The food was extraordinary. In fact, friends and family still call raving about it! Trust their recommendations and their expertise. You will not be disappointed!

Justyna and Joe are very easy to work with extremely talented. The food was amazing, accommodations were made for friends who have extreme food allergies without compromising the rest of the menu plan. We used Vics for both the wedding ceremony and reception on Sept 3. It was convenient for all our guests to stay at the same place and they flipped the room in 10min. Also, within walking distance to many hotels downtown. The decorations and flower arrangements were great, Joey is extremely talented putting together the center pieces. It was so easy dropping off everything we wanted to use for the ceremony and reception, and they were set up perfectly on the day of our event. We highly recommend Vics for any special events.

I can't say too many amazing things about Vic's! My wedding planner booked their location for my wedding reception. When our party grew we were able to book the larger (Stoddard) room to accommodate since it was still available. My advice, just book the stoddard room, it's beautiful! The event staff and wait staff was awesome and they made sure everything was perfect! My new husband is a chef and to say that the kitchen did an amazing job is an understatement! Everything was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding reception! Thanks Vic's!!!!

Vic's was wonderful and accommodating, especially that I had my wedding on July 4th! The food was absolutely incredible and the servers were nothing but gracious. The location was perfect with the balconies overlooking the river and made for the perfect fireworks spectacle. They definitely helped make this the best day of my life!

I am blown away by how wonderful our experience with Vic's was! We had a very small destination wedding with about 30 guests, so we chose the Dieter's Den. We chose lunch from the buffet menu, and it was served family-style. We wanted something tasteful and classic, but also budget friendly. Justyna handled everything for us- even the centerpiece flowers, which were gorgeous! Everyone raved about our food, and the service was incredible. The view of the river was also incredible. To top it off, we came in considerably under budget! My new husband and I couldn't be happier!

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. The staff at Vic's were extremely attentive and courteous. As soon as I got to the venue, I was offered a water while I waited to walk down the aisle. I was a little concerned before the wedding about trying to walk up the stairs in my dress and heels. When I got to the bottom stair, there was someone there to offer help with my dress and bouquet. During the reception, the staff made sure that my husband and I were fed. We only got up once to tell the staff what we wanted on our plates as they fixed our plates for us. I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day and it turned out prefect. Thank you Vic's on the River.

Vic's was perfect for our 75 guest wedding. We were looking for a venue that had a historic feel without having to bring in all the extra rental stuff. The view was incredible, the food was even better. They were a great one stop shop for us. Joey and Justyna were super responsive from the beginning, and never seemed to be annoyed by my frequent email questions :)
The day of our wedding, we showed up to our reception and they were waiting outside for us with champagne and appetizers. That was such a great touch, and much needed at that point in the day. They made everything run seamlessly throughout the night. At one point my dress got stepped on and literally within less than 5 minutes Joey came and pinned up my dress without me even expressing concern. THAT is service! Of course we didn't get to eat much, so he also packed up a bunch of food for us and even called us the next day after we forgot it that night. They really just made everything so easy - would definitely recommend them to any Savannah bride!

Vic's on the River was the perfect venue for our destination wedding. I've been envisioning my wedding since I was a little girl and the team at Vic's helped me bring my vision to life. Our ceremony and reception for 64 guest took place in the Stoddard Room on the 5th floor. I was amazed with Joey and Justyna's attention to detail. They answered all of my dozens of questions in a timely manner and allowed us to host a small rehearsal the day prior to the wedding. We dropped off everything the day before the wedding and told them how we wanted it all to look and they brought our vision to life. Everything looked even better than I had imagined. The flowers were fantastic. I sent them a picture of my bouquet and they used the picture as inspiration for the table centerpieces. The food was outstanding as well. Our guest blew though all of the appetizers and raved about the plated dinner. I often hear about brides who didn't feel like they could enjoy their day because they felt stressed or worried, however, the opposite is true for me. After waking through the venue I knew that Vic's was the place for us. I knew that we were placing the wedding in good hands with professionals who knew what they were doing. I do not have enough words to describe how happy I am with how everything turned out. I would highly recommend Vic's to any Savannah Bride.

Vic's on the River provided an outstanding venue, service, and food for our reception. Joey, the Event Coordinator went above and beyond to make sure our expectations were exceeded. Joey provided plenty of information and answered our endless questions during the planning process. Joey and his staff provided an immense amount of assistance the day before and the day of in making sure the room was set up. All of our guests raved about the food from the cocktails, appetizers, and the main entrees. Joey and the rest of the Vic's staff made our reception a night to remember.

We had our small ceremony and brunch reception in the Stoddard room. I can't say enough about the outstanding wedding planning support from Joey and Justyna. The food was incredible, the service impeccable, and they handle ALL the details. I didn't have to worry about about a thing. Not to mention it is one of the most breathtaking venues. We had a wonderful experience with Vic’s on the River! We used the Dieters Den for our intimate wedding reception earlier this month and it was absolutely perfect. Joey and Justyna went above and beyond to help us out at every turn and did a splendid job! Their chef also bent over backwards to accommodate my husband and I’s vegan diets and our desire for a mostly vegan menu. Their team was first rate and made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish. I would highly recommend Vic’s and their team for a flawless reception experience. The food was delicious (our guests are still raving), the atmosphere was perfect and the service was fantastic.

The in-laws chose Vic's on the River for our rehearsal dinner. We had a destination wedding and the in-laws worked with Vic's over email and by phone from California. The night of the dinner, everything was amazing! The service couldn't have been better and the food was definitely cooked to order. Classy and elegant are the words people are still describing our reception at Vic's on the River. Located in the heart on downtown Savannah, it was the perfect spot for our out-of-town guest list! And the food is indescribable! The venue has so much charm overlooking the river, and the service is exceptional! We had a great experience with Vic's on the River as our rehearsal dinner location. Upstairs, there was a great view of River Street, and inside the exposed brick walls and cools ceilings set the mood. The food was wonderful, we had southern food with fried chicken, fish, collard greens and peach pie. Mmmm, so delish. I would absolutely recommend using Vic's as your rehearsal dinner location.

Vic's is one of the best places to have your reception, hands-down. They are flexible, quick to respond, provide flowers for the centerpieces, let you get in early and come in the next day for setup/breakdown of your own decorations. Also, the food was FANTASTIC. I had nothing but rave reviews from my guests. We had around 75 guests and the Stoddard Room was more than comfortable for guests who wanted to dance and those who wanted to watch. The balconies were a big hit with people also. Joey and Justyna were incredible to work with...you can't go wrong with Vic's!

Vic's is such a fun place to have a wedding reception. They have everything you need (cake cutter, stand for your guest book, a dance floor, linens, tables) not to mention Joey and Justyna who are not only fun to work with, but do an amazing job! We worked with them from the beginning of our planning and they answered our 100's of questions via e-mail with no delay. I e-mailed they type of flowers I had chosen for our bouquets and Joey designed a perfect match as our centerpieces. Our guests were in love with the pineapple light fixtures and when my Dad asked for coffee the night of the reception, someone from Vic's made a special trip to their coffee bar located in the building. Joey also brought us champagne and water while we took photos outside. Joey and Justyna, thank you for making our reception wonderful!

One of the most important parts of our wedding was the reception venue. We needed a place that was affordable but luxurious, and one that employed people (planners and waitstaff) who had a vested interest in pulling off our evening. We knew before we got to town that Vic's was the place!
Joey, Justyna, and the waitstaff for the reception were absolutely AMAZING! Joey and Justyna answered every nervous email leading up to the weekend with calm and matter-of-factness. We met the a few days before, at it was obvious they were already way ahead of us in everything we wanted.
A couple of huge pluses:
-Vic's provides tables settings and linens
-Vic's has enough room in Dieter's Den for a small wedding
-The food is out of this work, and it's totally affordable
-The drinks are well made and priced right
-The waitstaff was about the best I think I've ever had, even under the tremendous pressure of a reception dinner
Trust me: Joey and Justyna will basically do whatever it is you're looking for. They will exceed your expectations. Our evening at Vic's was more fun than I could have ever imagined. I'm so relieved we went with Vic's. You will be too.

I had my wedding reception for 23 people at Vic's on the River. We dined in the Dieter's Den. The room was very private with a wonderful view. The food was fantastic (we had lunch) and easy on the wallet. The service.....words can't even describe how wonderful the service was! Joey was easy to work with - I called with my food choices and colors and when I arrived the room was beautiful. Nice linens on the tables, fresh flowers that matched my bouquet...it was perfect. The meal service was outstanding. Everything was paced really well, the wait staff was very prompt and there every time you needed them. I will definitely be visiting Vic's again!

There are not enough good things I could say about Vic's and the quality of service we received there. I recently had my reception there and was blown away with the venue and all that they offered. From the get-go in the planning process, Joey was delightful to work with. He answered any and all questions my mother and I had and also offered suggestions and guidance when we needed it. For the actual reception, the center-pieces and floral arrangements they put together were beautiful and perfectly mimicked the flowers that we had gotten from the florist. The waitstaff was beyond attentive to both my new husband and I and were constantly asking us if we needed anything such as a drink refill, more food, etc. The food was absolutely incredible too. We went with hors d'oeuvres and a seated dinner and everything we tasted was scrumptious. The setting was gorgeous - I knew that it would be beautiful overlooking the river but was blown away by how it all looked and came together. Overall I had the most amazing time at Vic's for my reception. If you are considering them for your reception or ceremony - do it! They are a dream to work with and will help you have the most incredible time!

I don't even know where to begin!!!! Vic's on the River was beyond perfect for our wedding!! When we made the decision to get married in Savannah, GA (we live in Central Florida), we found Vic's online and immediately fell in love with it. After contacting them for some information, Joey (their event coordinator) was so helpful and so informative sending us everything we needed. It didn't take us long to decide to hold our ceremony and reception there. From that point, Joey basically took care of everything for us --- helping with the menu choices, recommending vendors, and even set up EVERYTHING the day of our wedding!!! All we had to do was drop off any décor that we wanted to use and tell him what we wanted and he did it all!!!!!! Oh, did I mention he makes the floral centerpieces too???!!! FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST! And they matched my bridal bouquet!!!
With so many choices on wedding locations in Savannah, Vic's on the River has it all --- the view, the southern charm, the amazing food, and the warm hospitality!! Our friends and family are still talking about how lovely everything was.
I could go on forever --- but in the end -- Joey and his team are what made our wedding day so special!

I don't have a single bad thing to say about our experience with Joey and the entire team at Vic's on The River! We couldn't of asked for a better staff and level of service then what we received the day of our wedding! They were perfect! We booked Vic's over a year in advance to guarantee our spot at their gorgeous Stoddard Room overlooking the river! The venue is so unique and full of history.
Joey was an absolute blessing from day one! We signed the contract within 2 hours of being at Vic's! He is extremely detail oriented and puts so much thought into everything he does! We had a fabulous tasting and many trips to Vic's when we visited Savannah. Joey was always willing to meet with us when we were in town and answered any questions we had, anytime we needed. We had no doubt in our minds that the day would go perfect, and we were correct!
Our guests were stunned with the quality of service and what a gorgeous job Joey and his team had done for us! He completely captured my vision and put tears in my eyes when we saw everything! Our ceremony and reception were immaculate! Everyone raved about the food, drinks and how sweet the staff was. The staff was so good with all of the food allergies and aware of everything at all times! There wasn't a single detail missed and they made sure all of our wedding guests had an amazing time! Joey went above and beyond for us!

Vic's was an amazing venue for so many reasons. We had an intimate wedding of 35 and the Dieter's Den was perfect for us! They were super flexible and even allowed us to use their outdoor space for cocktail hour which worked out perfectly. Above all, their food alone is worth every penny. We had to roll our guests away because everything was so tasty (my recommendation would be do not pass up the crawfish beignets). On top of it, the whole staff is fantastic including Joey, Christine, and both of our servers. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED especially for small parties :)

I can't express how grateful I am to the staff of Vic's on the River for making my wedding a truly memorable event. The venue itself is in a perfect location and is gorgeous but what really sets this venue apart is the staff and their professionalism, flexibility and attention to detail. Joey, the onsite coordinator, is a amazing. He brings what is already a five star rating to another level.
If you choose this place for your wedding, your guests are guaranteed to have an amazing time with delicious food, drinks, and a beautifully decorated venue. And you are guaranteed to have a perfectly executed wedding with little to no stress.
Looking forward to celebrating our anniversary at Vic's for years to come and hosting future anniversary parties and other important life events.
PS - I would recommend having the meatloaf as one of your entree selections. Three months after the wedding, I still have guests talking about this dish. My bridal party is also still talking about the fact that Joey brought out appetizers and drinks to my wedding party while we were taking pictures during cocktail hour. Huge hit!

Words can't even begin to describe what a magical experience getting married at Vic's was. Joey and his staff made us feel as if we were family and treated us like royalty. Our guests were so impressed with the beauty of the room and they could not stop talking about how amazing the food was. I never had any hesitations throughout the process as Joey and his team were great with communication and making sure our needs were met. The value of what you receive is AMAZING! If I could give 10 stars I would! We hired Vic's for our reception and it was easily the best part of our wedding. From our first interactions with them, we were amazed at their professionalism. They are extremely efficient and will bend over backwards to make sure you have the best experience possible. Joey and all of the staff are amazing! The bride and I felt like royalty and were waited on hand and foot. When we arrived, Joey met us with our favorite drink and assured us everything was going as planned. Our guest were taken care of in similar fashion and everyone were giving us compliments on the venue and service. The balconies over looking River st and a great place for a couple bride and groom shots and the guest obtained great shots too!
We told Joey we wanted to do a s'more bar and he told us to just bring the supplies and he would set it up. It was more awesome than we imagined! We did the plated dinner with the beef and tilapia, it was delicious! The beef melted in your mouth and the Parmesan encrusted tilapia was delicious and perfectly breaded. The presentation was immaculate and exactly what you would expect from a restaurant like Vic's. The service was perfectly executed and prompt. As an example of their excellence, our server waited for probably 20min next to our table for us to be seated so that she could offer us fresh cracked black pepper and she didn't look upset about it. I know I am saying it too much, but the level of service can't be match by any where else in Savannah!

I am the mob. This was a destination wedding for my daughter and son-in-law. They reside in Boston, and my husband and I reside near Albany, NY. In September 2012 we took a trip to Savannah to meet with various vendors. I spent the previous summer researching on the Internet to create a list of potential vendors. We met with 4 different event managers and decided on Vic's. It turned out to be a fantastic choice. Joey and Christine were responsive and accommodating. The food was so delicious. Guests raved about the food not being typical and the best food they were ever served at a wedding. The guests were impressed by the excellent service using adjectives such as courteous and efficient. The dinner moved at an even pace and guests were served each course in sync. No one was left waiting for their course after others were served.
Something Joey and company did totally amazed our guests. The ceremony was held at Vic's in one side of the Stoddard Room. It was beautifully decorated by A to Zinnias. After the ceremony, guests were invited outside for photo ops with the trolley and were served signature drinks (mint juleps and Georgia peach sangrias). While we were outside Joey, his team, and Bonnie and Katie from FCE transformed the ceremony space into the cocktail hour space. The bar was moved into place. High tops and seated tables were set up. The dessert/candy station was set up with the wedding cake as the focal point. Also, the ceremony flowers were repurposed and looked beautiful.
Guests loved the urban loft meets old Savannah vibe at Vic's On the River. We have not one regret or negative comment about Vic's.

Planning a wedding out of state can be scary, but they made the process easy and fun! The Stoddard Room was the gorgeous location that we used for our ceremony and reception. The food was outstanding and our guests are still talking about how great everything tasted! I have gotten so many compliments on the delicious food we had at our wedding! We had a wonderful reception at Vic's on the River! The food, atmosphere, and customer service were beyond anything we could have dreamed of! Joey & Christine were amazingly attentive and easy to work with. We received so many compliments on the food! Our best friend is an executive chef in Atlanta, and he even said it was one of the best crab cakes he had ever eaten. The views, food, and employees make Vic's on the River a wonderful choice for a reception in Savannah. We could not have been happier with our choice!

Let me tell you how delicious the food was and how many rave reviews EVERYTHING got!! They also created beautiful centerpieces for us using the flowers I had in my bouquet and they turned out gorgeous (and are included in the costs). I can't believe what we paid considering what we got. Definitely the best vendor I worked with. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing place to host their wedding. :)

We received tons of compliments on the food and service. Joey and Christine were very responsive and easy to work with, they responded to emails in a very timely manner and helped me work through details from afar as we had a destination wedding. I think the value is great, we shopped around and found this to be very reasonable for the services provided. They did an outstanding job with the flower centerpieces, and we had a personal attendant that made sure all of our needs were taken care of the whole night. Can not say enough about this place, would get married here again in a heartbeat if I could!

My husband and I chose Vic's for our reception location. We could not be happier with this decision! Joey and Christine were great to work with! They included the centerpieces with their services which alleviated so much stress and kept our overall cost down. They were perfect and exactly what we wanted! They even provided a customized menu for each of our guests. We just emailed over our wedding logo. It was such a great personalized touch! Our reception was beautiful and our guests are still commenting on how great the food and atmosphere was. They had all or our decorations set up and the timing of everything was perfect! While I was living in Savannah, Vic's was my and my husband's favorite restaurant. For this reason, we wanted our wedding reception to be held there. The food was always incredible every time we ate there. We were even more pleased with the services they provided for our wedding reception! They quickly answered every question we had while planning our wedding and reception, and were always to pleasant and easy to work with. The waiters they provided for our reception were the most respectful, hard-working and qualified waiters I have ever encountered at a restaurant or event. And the food! It was mouth-watering! All of our guests raved at how wonderful all of the food tasted. I would very highly recommend Vic's on the River to any bride!

I had my wedding reception at Vic's and I cannot say enough good things about them! The entire evening went flawlessly and I can't thank Joey and Christine enough for all of their hard work for my big day! The staff there were on top of everything, no one's glass or plate was ever empty. The groom and I had our own personal wait staff that were there for anything we needed. The decorations, flowers, and bar all looked wonderful and the food was to die for! Even the littlest touch made a big difference, when Joey was waiting for the groom and I upon arrival with wine and water before we made our big entrance! This place provides top notch service for any event as well as an amazing menu!

We had the dinner for our small intimate Savannah wedding in the Dieter's Den at Vic's. You really can't go wrong when choosing Vic's for your wedding or special event. They know what they are doing!
The room was perfect, the food amazing! The event coordinators are professional and prompt. I planned our Savannah wedding all the way from Wisconsin via email and it was a breeze.
The Dieter's Den is perfect for small weddings and intimate events. The room was set up wonderfully by the staff at Vic's with all the decor items that I provided. They printed dinner menus for our guests. The centerpieces provided by Vic's were lovely......much bigger than I expected. The food was oh so good. Our guests raved about how wonderful it was. I am so happy with how everything turned out and we can't wait to go back to Vic's for fried green tomatoes (the best) when we visit.

He was the most prompt to respond out of everyone I worked with, and he always thoroughly answered any questions or concerns I had. He is extremely professional and knows a ton of vendors in the area- which helped since we were not from Savannah. Vic's is a beautiful location, and the food is to die for! The food was incredible. I never thought "wedding food" could be this good. In fact, I would never even consider this to be wedding food. It was outstanding restaurant food.
The service was outstanding. The servers were very attentive and professional. They also took special care of us (bride & groom) and covered our plates when we were up and mingling with guests to keep our food warm (even offered to warm it up again!) and never took away our plates without asking.
The room is beautiful. The huge arched windows and wood floors are stunning and the view of the river is amazing. It served as the perfect backdrop for our Savannah wedding.
The flowers! Floral centerpeices are included in the venue rental for each table and they were perfect. I sent Joey concepts for what I was looking for and he made it reality. This saved us so much money!
Out of all of the vendors we've worked with for our wedding, Vic's is by far the best and most memorable. You will not be disappointed.

I was worried the room would be too large for our small guest list but it turned out great! The pricing can't be beat! Compared to other places we looked at, you get the most for your money here. The food was wonderful, portions large, and from the mouth of a guest ..."I was expecting wedding food and this was so much better"! We had the prime rib and the portion sizes were huge! The staff were super attentive and right there at a moments notice. I really couldn't have asked for a better venue!

Absolutely amazing!!! Everyone is still talking about how amazing the room was, how unbelievable the food was AND about how nice and attentive all of the servers were. Joey was amazing from the beginning and then I had the pleasure of meeting Christine a few days before our reception. On the day of, I knew I had nothing to even think about but getting married!! One of the many details that showed us that Joey went above and beyond is that we aksed for "late night" food, Joey suggested Porks Sliders/Slaw and Fries...my husband doesn't care for pork, I mentioned that to Joey, very briefly, but we decided to go with pork anyway because my husband knows everyone else loves it (he is so sweet) and at the end of the night, the servers had boxed up our food for us (we didn't take the time to eat ours there) and I had Pork Sliders and Ken was given Angus Beef Sliders! That was so thoughtful. To top it off, a few days later we received and itemized receipt...when we looked at the total bill we both thought the same thing...."we had a wedding reception like that and that was all it cost!!". I can't say enough!

They were wonderful for my wedding. They have several great menu options, they have the most beautiful ball room that over looks the river and bay street with perfect service. They set up everything for the reception, tables, chairs, center pieces, linens and it looked amazing and kept me stress free. They were so helpful in answering my questions and getting everything set up for the event. The staff were perfect and polite at the reception. Oh and the food was amazing, we did the $40 dinner plate option and everyone who had the pecan crusted flounder said it was superb. Thank you so much, you guys were so awesome!

We held our reception at Vic's on the River in September 2011. We used the Stoddard room and had about 40 guests. The room was large but was set up perfectly for the size of our group. Our wedding was on a Friday and we arrived in Savannah for the first time ever on Wednesday. We met with Vic's to finalize details and Joey was so helpful and amazing. He even brought us appetizers to sample during our meeting as we had been so busy all day we'd barely had a chance to eat. I had spoken with him and my planner several times before (during which he was extremely helpful in discussing floor plans, menus, floral arrangements, etc). Everyone complimented the food and everything we had there was amazing. The value was incredible- table linens, chivari chairs, place settings and floral arrangements were included in our reservation fee/food & beverage price. Joey even greeted us with water as we were arriving from the trolley. Everything looked as I had envisioned when we arrived at the reception. The wait staff was awesome and was focused on taking care of us. I can not imagine a more perfect and awesome wedding reception and we plan to go back to Savannah just as soon as we can to enjoy Vic's again.
We had planned to use Vic's as our rain backup as well and Joey was extremely helpful and flexible should be have needed it. He even offered to let us do a rehearsal there as well.

Vic's on the River was the perfect location for our intimate rehearsal dinner. We were in Dieter's Den and had a spectacular view overlooking River Street. Our service was impeccable; staff are amazing here! We specifically requested a particular server and we were so thrilled to see him there on our special evening.
The food and wine were great. Everyone was really impressed with the fried green tomatoes. We also loved our personalized menus and the flower arrangements on all of the tables.
Vic's is a pleasure to work with, and they really know what they're doing! We certainly recommend them for a rehearsal dinner or even a reception.

Felicia and Joey were wonderful! They were on top of everything - and delivered exactly what we requested! We had our reception in Dieter's Den with about 37 people. This smaller room is very intimate and was perfect for the luncheon we had in mind. I also showed them a picture of the bouquet that I was having made by my florist, and they worked with the same exact flowers and colors and created lovely table center pieces also. The shrimp and grits and vegetable lasagna were delicious! The wait staff was also extremely nice and very attentive. Amazing experience.

Our wedding reception was beautiful! We rented the Stoddard room and had around 140 guests. It worked out perfectly and Felicia & Joey did such a great job setting it up and making sure it was exactly how I wanted it. I dropped off all of the decorations and favors on Wednesday of that week and didn't come back until I arrived at my reception. It was so nice not to have to worry about decorating or anything on my wedding day. The food was also great and overall the value was outstanding! Thanks, Vic's!

Vic's on the River did a fantastic job for my wedding reception! We rented the Stoddard Room. Felecia and Joey were always easily accessible via e-mail or phone and were so easy to work with! The day before the wedding Joey even tied ribbon around my favors for me. The food was outstanding (we chose the southern elegance buffet option). We had so many compliments from guests on how great everything looked and how wonderful everything tasted. Vic's made everything so easy! I didn't have to fuss with centerpieces, I just told them what I wanted and they delivered. I am very happy with our decision to have our wedding reception here and would do it all over again without hesitation!

Oh my gosh, what can I say?! Felicia at Vic's on the River, the wait staff and the cooks were amazing! I had a small intimate reception in the Dieter's Den at Vic's and it turned out to be amazing! I created a buch of little diy fall decorations and brought them over to Felicia in bags, I explained to her very briefly how I wanted everything laid out and she did such an amazing job! She brought my vision all together perfectly! I gave her my wedding colors and she had the most beautiful flower arraignments made for each table.
I was worried Dieter's Den would be too small for my party or too loud from kitchen noises, but it was the most perfect size and it was nice and private (I had around 25 people) The food was sooo good. I would say my top restaurant in Savannah by far. The wait staff was wonderful and attentive, they were there when we needed things!
They helped give us and our guests a wedding night to remember!!!

I had a small wedding with close family and friends and Vic's on the River was the perfect place to celebrate after the ceremony. They were able to accommodate our group of 15 in a room by ourselves that overlooked the river in Savannah. The view was beautiful!
The staff was very professional and they were always there to give you whatever you needed. The food was absolutely amazing!! All of my guests really enjoyed themselves and have all told me that it was the perfect place to eat and celebrate! I would definitely recommend eating at Vic's on the River for any special occasion!

Like most people on this review page, we also had a wonderful reception at Vic's! The food was awesome (a week later & people are still telling me on how great the food was!), the view (beautiful!), the managers -- Joey & Felicia -- are GREAT, so easy to work with, and just did everything they could to make it perfect... and it was!!
Book them and you won't be dissapointed!

Vic's was the best choice for our wedding reception. These guys do weddings almost every weekend so they are prepared for any situation. They met with me multiple times to talk about menu options and seating charts. They are very reassuring because they have done it all and seen it all. The value for the money is phenomenal. The tables are already set and the flowers are included! That is HUGE. Joey and Felicia should be wedding coordinators! They communicated with all my vendors. The view and location cannot be beat and if you are worried about parking they can offer a valet. The food was phenomenal. The staff professional and courteous. The only thing I would have changed was to have my wedding ceremony earlier so we could have had more time to party at Vic's.
