Vicki captured our wedding day so beautifully and authentically! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was so well prepared and organized to make sure all the special moments were captured throughout the day and night. Our family and friends were blown away by the photos and rave about how incredible our photographer was - and we fully agree! We love having such incredible photos to treasure and re-live the magical moments of our wedding day and highly recommend Vicki. -

Vicki was an absolute joy to work with. Right off the bat, she made my fiancé and me feel so calm as we started off our engagement photo session, which was the first time either of us had done professional photos. We took pictures at 3 different locations in D.C., all within about an hour and a half, and the results were absolutely stunning. Vicki is so incredibly talented, has an impeccable eye for lighting and shadows, and had suggestions for poses that helped us feel very natural but never overly posed. I am overjoyed with the photos she gave us, and I loved the mix of film and digital photos she provided. Vicki gave us great advice for what colors would look nice at each location we chose as well, for example- I wore a yellow dress when our backgrounds were largely white steps, and I wore white in our neighborhood with brown brick streets and colorful trees & plants. I would wholeheartedly recommend Vicki to anyone for engagement or wedding or truly any type of photography you are looking for! -

We worked with Vicki for our wedding day and our welcome party. She and her team were absolutely incredible: they kept us feeling excited, relaxed, and in-the-moment (as well as on time or ahead of schedule). We were looking for a photographer that would capture us and the day in a naturalistic manner while also capturing our guests enjoying the day. Vicki and her team were so well prepared that everything flowed seamlessly on the day and they rolled with some minor changes we made day-of without any concern. Throughout the process, Vicki worked very well with our other vendors and we always felt that she supported our vision while also providing her expertise when we needed help. Her ability to balance capturing our vision and providing expert guidance was superb and made us feel confident that the photos would be stellar - and they were! We still often just spend time looking through all of the photos. We could not recommend Vicki any more highly and if we were to go back in time, we would certainly hire her again! -

Vicki and her team captured our wedding day so perfectly and made us feel like ourselves/completely comfortable in front of the camera!! They were so professional, engaging, and respectful. Our photos turned out so raw and real— exactly what the day looked like. She listened to what we requested and captured the special moments and reactions perfectly. We received previews and our full album in a very timely manner as well. I would choose Vicki and her team over and over if I had the chance! I cannot recommend them enough! -

We worked with Vicki for both our engagement shoot and wedding day, and she was probably one of — if not the best — vendors we had. She made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process, capturing natural photos. Vicki is organized, thoughtful and of course, talented. She is such a gem! We would recommend her over and over again. -

I cannot ever say enough great things about Vicki. She did multiple shoots for us including our wedding, and captured everything beautifully- even better than I ever had imagined. Not only does she have the most calming and relaxing demeanor, she is an absolute talent and so phenomenal at what she does. I cannot stop looking at our photos. And she got everything back to us so quickly, with great communication. I couldn’t be happier that we chose Vicki to capture such important moments of our lives, and I will recommend her to everyone. So so grateful to have found her! -

Best wedding decision ever!
Where to begin!! Vicki is absolutely amazing in every way. My fiance and I were searching all over to find a photographer for our wedding and engagement photos. Photos were the one thing we were willing to invest a bit more of our budget into but after what seemed like ages of not finding a photographer we loved, our wedding planner recommended Vicki. As soon as I saw her portfolio, I was truly in awe. Her photos are works of art and I was so excited when I heard she was available on our wedding day. Going into our engagement session, I was still a little nervous as I'm not always a fan of myself in photos but she made us feel completely at ease! Honestly, it was truly such a fun experience and she gave great direction the entire time. Finally when it was time to see the photos, my jaw dropped. Currently awaiting our wedding photos but the previews alone tell me the experience will be the same. They are so stunningly beautiful and it was such a pleasure to have Vicki by our side to capture everything. If you are at all even slightly on the fence, go with Vicki!! These photos will last a lifetime and you wont regret it. -

Incredible wedding photos
We planned our NYC destination wedding from Melbourne, Australia and I knew I had to find the right vendors to not make our lives harder than it needed to be. Photography was going to be one of the most important decisions and I can confidently say, we are so glad we chose Vicki and her team to be our wedding photographers. From the first day I enquired with Vicki, she was responsive, thoughtful, organised, pro-active and generous with her time and ideas, every step of the way.
On the day of the wedding, it became clear to us how much work and effort she had put into preparing for the day to ensure it ran smoothly and all the photos we wanted, were captured. Locations had been scouted, poses/angles considered and getting ready details all planned for. A few days before the wedding we had wanted to change one of the main locations for our couple photos because we were concerned about the weather. Vicki convinced us to continue with the original plan because it would suit the overall look of our wedding more and she was certainly right. Those photos turned out to be our favourite ones. Our actual wedding day was far from perfect as mother nature wasn’t on our side, however, when Vicki sent us our online gallery of photos, my first thought was that Vicki was worth every single cent. Our photos are beautiful and as many friends and family commented – you couldn’t even tell it rained (except for the photos with umbrellas!). We are so incredibly happy with all the photos that were taken – Vicki and her team filled the brief 100%.

She has an amazing aesthetic and style that made our weddings pictures one of kind and extraordinarily beautiful. She has a wonderful eye for lighting, positioning, looks, but most of all--she knew how to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera so that our images were natural and full of love. Our wedding planner recommended her to us and we met Vicki at her home office in Fairfax. She showed us wedding photographs she shot and we knew right from the start that she was our pick. Vicki was very helpful throughout the process from engagement photos to the wedding photos. She sent us guides on what to wear and even recommended a stylist (Julie Jackson) for clothes, hair, and makeup. I will definitely recommend Vicki because she is a true professional and by looking at our pictures--I know she loves what she does. She has a passion for photography and we couldn't have been happier with how our photos turned out. Thanks Vicki! -

Sally Sent on 11/26/2012My fiance and I started our photography search and we were surprised at some of the quality of the photography for the value but when I found Vicki, I knew right away I loved her photography style and I wanted to book her. Her photos are very simple, clean, and have a cool effect that I can't describe. After we asked a photography friend, he confirmed that Vicki was the right choice for the best quality and value.
Vicki was very responsive and knowledgeable and once we met her for the consultation appt. I knew that I wanted to book her because I appreciate how she was well- organized, professional and attentive to details because I am like that too. When planning Vicki was able to help us by suggesting a wedding timeline and incorporating my chinese tea ceremony she help me finalize my wedding timeline. I am an asian bride and she recommended to me what worked best with the timeline based on my cultural preferences for certain photos.
After taking the engagement shoot with her and seeing our photos especially the ones with our pup, I knew she had great composition and loved the photos. My fiance our pup and I felt very relaxed and comfortable with Vicki at our shoot and had a great time.
For our wedding Vicki was well prepared and had asked us what photos we wanted at the wedding in advance. Unfortunately my wedding was the weekend after Hurricane Sandy and we had a lot of wedding mishaps but Vicki was still flexible with the timeline and despite the weather conditions. My wedding was a bit chaotic because I did everything myself and so I was stressed but she made sure to get all the pictures I wanted and even coordinated with the DJ to call up family members for group pictures because I forgot to tell the DJ that. We finally ended the night with cute pictures of me and the groom playing around with sparklers. Vicki has a great eye and awesome composition in her photography, I was so glad that she was able to capture those wedding moments for me. -

User950897 Sent on 11/19/2012I actually hired Vicki as a Coordinator, but she ended up doing some photography of my wedding as well. I was so worried that I had chosen the wrong photographer. He didn't realize all the time I had spent picking out every single detail and that I wanted to capture everything, but Vicki did and told me that she would see if she could get some shots throughout the day. I feel so blessed that she was able to do this because her photos were BEAUTIFUL, and she got all the details that I was so worried my photographer wouldn't get (which he actually didn't, so she was my hero!) Vicki is very professional and she is quick (she knows what she is looking for in every shot and has a great eye). I feel so lucky that I got to use/see as much of Vicki's talent as I did. I would recommend her over and over (and I already have). -

Carolyn Sent on 09/26/2012I love Vicki and I love the work she does!! After finding her on a local blog, I checked out her website and fell in love! Her photos are very beautiful, stunning, and elegant.
Vicki is also awesome to work with. She is professional but she is also very laid back and easy going, she is incredibly sweet and funny, and you can tell that she really loves to be a photographer.
Her photos are very artistic and very high quality, and they all look like they belong in magazines. Vicki used to be a wedding planner and stylist so she knows what she is looking for with shots and her shots turn out beautifully.
Vicki was so helpful along the way with all the questions I asked her. I even asked Vicki for suggestions and recommendations on other vendors. I also decided at the very, very last minute that I wanted to add draping to my venue and Vicki got me all the information from the other vendor and helped me work with them to make it happen.
For my wedding, Vicki helped me in planning how much time to allow getting ready at my venue, to make sure we got enough photos, and what to plan for after the ceremony. We had a lot of family photos that we wanted to get and she told us ahead of time that she was a little worried about being able to get enough pictures of my husband and me and asked if we would mind if we took more couple photos after dinner, which we didn’t mind at all. It was nice to be able to know exactly what to expect and know ahead of time what the timing would look like.
Vicki got our photos back to us in about a month, which was awesome since a lot of my friends waited months to get theirs back. She even posted two photos of me the day after the wedding so I had something to see right away. Vicki is incredibly thoughtful, professional, and talented and my husband and I are beyond happy with our photos.
I highly recommend Vicki!!
