  Veronica was the absolute best choice for our wedding day

  I can’t say enough good things about our experience hiring Veronica as our wedding photographer. Throughout the whole process, she was kind and professional, but also made us feel comfortable and ourselves. She’s a brilliant photographer and even throughout the night our guests were pointing out how great she was capturing candid moments. Out of all of the great vendors that helped us through our wedding, Veronica was at the top of the list.

  Magical + Talented

  Where do I begin?
  Veronica is a dream. She is a true artist and we are blessed to have her capturing life's moments. She has found her life calling with photography and it shows in every photograph. Not only is Veronica talented, but she also has the best personality to back it up. Calm, yet assertive, kind, but in charge, and a delicate addition to your personal space with posing for photos. I feel like she eases any anxieties of her subjects, which is huge.
  Veronica, can't wait until the next time we work together :)

  Our best decision (other than getting married)

  Where to start. Veronica is a true gem. We couldn’t recommend her enough. My partner and I had been together for a little over five years when we decided to officially tie the knot. We did so in a somewhat unconventional way, planning a very small, family-only wedding in the span of a month. It was a low- to no-frills wedding, and we wanted our photos to be very raw, real, and honest. First of all, we were so lucky that Veronica was available on such short notice. She was incredibly responsive and helpful in the weeks and days leading up to the day, providing input on things like timeline, photo locations, and tie color. Veronica did such an amazing job capturing that authenticity of our wedding in such a beautiful and artistic manner. I remember reading this in other reviews — and I can confirm it’s true — Veronica will capture the tiniest moments that might otherwise flicker by in an instant and be forgotten. Like the overwhelming combination of enthusiasm and nerves I felt when my dad was walking me down the aisle, or the tear rolling down my husband’s cheek as I read my vows to him. When we show our photos to our friends, their jaws drop because they are that stunning! Even better, every time I look at the photos, I remember all of the feelings of that day, and it fills my heart with joy. I will add that the day was a bit chaotic at times (planning a wedding in a month meant it wasn’t the smoothest affair) but Veronica handled everything like a champ. One of my favorite parts of the evening was actually the ride to and from Phipps with just Veronica, my husband, and I. It was this nice moment of calm and connection in the midst of a whirlwind. To summarize, we couldn’t be happier with the photographs that Veronica created - booking her was our best decision of our whole wedding - other than getting married of course. We feel so blessed that Veronica was able to capture this important moment in our lives!

  The best photographer money can buy

  If you’re considering hiring a photographer for your wedding, please read this! Hiring Veronica Varos was hands down the best decision that we made for our wedding day. My husband does photography as a hobby and is very particular about style and technique, so I thought he would have a hard time being in love with any photographer. However, as soon as we saw her natural, bright and unposed style, we knew that we had to have her capture our day.
  
  I think that the photos speak for themselves, but what you can’t see is probably most important - amazing customer service. From the time that I inquired about her availability all the way to delivering pictures, Veronica was very responsive and thorough. I’ve always felt welcome to ask questions, re-arrange the timeline, add extra time and so on. We conversed and processed all paperwork/payments online which is 100% my preferred method of communications (hi, millenial here).
  
  On the wedding day, having Veronica and her assistant there really helped me relax and enjoy the wedding instead of fretting about the timeline. She worked so well with the other vendors and my friends and family loved her too :) When my bustle broke, she even teamed up with my coordinator to fix it quickly and get me back to the party. If you got this far into this review, please take this away - a great photographer that you can trust is always worth the investment, and that’s what Veronica is.

  Veronica was amazing to work with. We knew before we booked that we loved her photography style, but even beyond that, she was professional, energetic and kind on our wedding day. During the planning process she was understanding and responsive to my questions. And after our wedding, she has continued to be so helpful as we choose photos for prints and albums. I really cannot recommend her enough — she captured our wedding memories with beautiful light and composition. She's incredible at what she does.

  Wow. I cannot say enough good things about Veronica. When my now-husband and I decided to cancel our big, traditional wedding and have a small quasi-elopement in Mellon Park instead, we started Googling "Pittsburgh elopement photographer" and blasting out emails to as many as we could find, hoping to find someone available with less than two months' notice. One name kept drifting up at every turn: Veronica Varos. We fell in love with her portfolio and were so excited that she was able to fit us in. She offered an elopement package that worked for our budget and timing, whereas many of the elopement packages we saw had minimum required coverage that was more than we needed. She was always quick to respond to emails, and gave the impression that she was excited to work with us. When it looked like we might be facing rain I reached out to her for advice on a backup plan, and not only did she offer suggestions, but she also reached out to her network of wedding photographers to get THEIR suggestions as well! The day of the elopement ended up perfect and sunny. When we arrived at Mellon Park she was already there and had scouted the perfect location for our little ceremony. During portraits she took time to provide direction, and she gave lots of positive feedback that helped us to relax in front of the camera, which made the whole process much less awkward and way more fun. We received a preview slideshow less than four weeks after the wedding, and the full gallery was ready about a week after that. And oh. my. goodness. The photos are absolutely stunning! She has an incredible eye for light and texture, which gives the photos an almost luminous quality. And she perfectly captured the intimacy of our little wedding, even catching some little moments I hadn't noticed as they were happening! We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos, and will truly be cherishing them for many years to come. You should not hesitate to book Veronica--she's the best!

  Veronica is simply the best. She is so incredibly talented and a dream to work with. She answered all of my hundreds of questions throughout the planning process and did a wonderful job guiding me through many difficult decisions (I had a very hard time deciding whether to do a first look). She is also the sweetest person to spend your wedding day with! Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our intimate portrait sessions on our wedding day. And I LOVE all our wedding photos. She truly captured our family, our friends, and us. I cannot thank her enough for everything!

  Veronica is simply the best. She is so incredibly talented and a dream to work with.   After following Veronica's photography for many years, she was the first vendor that I reached out to when getting engaged. She was so responsive and willing to help us find the perfect photographer even if it wasn't her. She's a true professional. All of our interactions with her whether it be via email or in person, she was always so thorough, reassuring and positive! She did our engagement photos and we had so much fun working with her and the results were amazing. Then the wedding day came. First, she showed up early and didn't waste any time, and quickly started taking photos. She fit in seamlessly and truly documents your day from beginning to finish in a way that we didn't even think was possible. The outdoor ceremony and portraits quickly came to a halt as it literally rained all afternoon. Veronica took this as a challenge and rolled with the punches like the pro that she is. She made the very best of the situation. Fast forward to receiving our images. First, we received them SO quick and then... Holy cow, we were blown away. I mean we knew she was good, but we couldn't believe how AMAZING our photos were, especially with such a rainy day!   I did not use Veronica for my wedding, but I did a boudoir shoot with her for my 1-year anniversary gift to my husband. She was absolutely phenomenal. I cannot say enough about what a pleasure she was to work with. She is extremely responsive, so accommodating and so professional. She took time out of her schedule to meet with me for about an hour the week before the shoot (for no charge!) to just chat and get to know each other a bit so that I would feel more comfortable on the day of the shoot. I felt so comfortable with her and had so much fun during the shoot. I was simply amazed at how much time she was willing to take with me to get all of the shots I wanted. The end result was perfect - both me and my husband love the album (which she went out of her way to put a rush on after a slight snag with the printer). I cannot recommend her highly enough for any events you have planned - if I could do it over again, I would probably use her for my wedding too. =)

  Veronica was a pleasure to work with and captured both our engagement session and wedding day perfectly. Our engagement session had to be rescheduled several times due to weather and Veronica was always willing to work with us.

  Veronica did an awesome job - and the pics are beautiful. She was very professional, took all the pics we wanted, and was never "in the way" or demanding which I have noted with other photographers at weddings I have attended in the past. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!!

  I had the great opportunity to have some "Trash the Dress" pictures and some pictures with my husband taken by Veronica this past September (right around the four year anniversary of our wedding). I have worked with several other photographers and I must say that Veronica provided both the best experience during the photo session and also produced the highest quality photos. I was extremely impressed by both her professionalism and her sincerity--she had a genuine desire to make sure she captured the ideas that I had in mind for the photo session. That being said, she is extremely creative and took pictures that I never even though of--pictures that really stand out from your run-of-the-mill wedding/engagement photography. She has a keen ability to capture even the most subtle details and emotions in her photos, which contain great composition, on-point focus, and the most flattering lighting. I can honestly say I love every single picture I received from her and I've received many compliments on her work! In short: Veronica is a true artist, and her passion for photography is apparent in the high quality of her work! I would highly recommend her as a photographer for any event!

  I have really enjoyed working with Veronica.   Veronica was awesome to work with! She is both very professional and creative. The only one thing we could have hoped for more would have been more close up shots during our ceremony in particular. There are always challenges with outdoor weddings and Veronica did a great job adapting to those. We were very happy with the photos from the wedding and I would definitely recommend Veronica to future brides and grooms.

  I found Veronica through my wedding planner, Ansley at Bliss Events. From the first time I met her I could tell how invested she was at making sure she captured the "mood" I wanted for my day. Every time I emailed Veronica she got back to me within a couple hours. She was interested in my theme and colors as well as our families and what special moments we wanted to capture. Our first experience was during our engagement photo session. Though we were both nervous, Veronica made us feel at ease and within a few minutes we were totally enjoying the experience and having a great time! The day of our wedding she came to my parent's home and everyone took to her immediately. Without "directing" us into this or that pose, she captured every photo and moment we could have wanted and more. My parents were thrilled with her and I cannot recommend Veronica highly enough! We had our pictures within a few weeks (though I do know that we got married in the off season) but I was so, so impressed by how beautiful they were. Everyone has commented on how gorgeous the pictures were and never once did anyone say that they felt they were being photographed. Veronica captures your special day without you even realizing how hard she is working. She is a true professional.
