This venue is made for a wedding. Spectacular views of the grape vines and mountains, stunning reception ballroom. Cocktail hour was tented on the deck overlooking mountains, but also in their beautiful tasting room. Our Veritas events coordinator, Jessee, was extremely professional, informative, and clear. His team did such an amazing job as well. They clearly know what they’re doing.
Wedding food could sometimes be a miss, but definitely not here. I’ve been to around 20 weddings and can without a doubt say this was the best wedding food I ever had. Huge props to Andy - what a great chef he is. Cocktail bites were amazing. Everyone was raving about it. All entrees were of very high quality and cooked to perfection. My steak was seared beautifully and cooked to a perfect medium rare.
So many people came up and said this was the best wedding they have ever been to and it’s all because of the Veritas location, layout and team.
I cannot thank them enough, and if you’re considering them… it’s a no brainer!

Veritas Winery was the wedding venue of my dreams, and they somehow managed to make the day even more perfect than I ever imagined! I first visited Veritas in 2009, and I knew right then if I ever got married, it would have to be there. Fast forward to 2024, and my wedding day exceeded every expectation. The breathtaking scenery, the flawless ballroom, and the overall ambiance made for an unforgettable experience.

Our guests are still raving about the food! Choosing between the delicious options at the tasting was almost impossible because everything was so incredible. And for such an exceptional venue, it’s surprisingly affordable, which made it even more of a dream come true.

We were also lucky enough to have Meredith as our day-of planner, and she was nothing short of amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, running down last-minute issues, coordinating with all the vendors, and even stepping in when the DJ wasn’t playing our selections. Her experience, especially with weddings at Veritas, was invaluable, and on top of that, she’s incredibly kind, patient, and detail-oriented.

We had our wedding at Veritas in August 2024 and it was wonderful. We looked at Veritas after looking at a number of other venues, including other vineyards, and felt right at home in the space and with Meredith Jackson, who is the events manager and served as our Day of Coordinator.
The moment we met Meredith, we knew we were in good hands. We were excited about holding our wedding at Veritas, but it was working with Meredith that sealed the deal for us. She was super responsive, dependable, trustworthy organized, kind, flexible, and helpful every step of the way and on the day itself.
At Veritas itself, there are so many great photo opportunities, the men’s and ladies lounges as well as the tasting room and event space are wonderful, and there are so many beautiful views. Further, the staff were professional, on time, and did a great job with everything. The meals were all perfectly cooked and received compliments (I ordered filet mignon and it was medium, a good size, and the meal was filling). The wedding party also had lunch from the terrace beforehand which was delicious, too. We are so thankful we got married at Veritas and would highly recommend Veritas and Meredith.

Veritas blew us away. From the booking to the menu tasting to the actual wedding night, Meredith/Jessee and their team were a dream to work with. They are so organized and executed the night so flawlessly. I truly was blown away by their service and professionalism. Meredith was always available for questions and help and worked with us every step of the way. She knew all the questions to ask us to make sure everything was thought through. And the venue is stunning, the doors to the deck were amazing to open during dinner to enjoy the view and the night.

Veritas was the perfect venue for our spring wedding. The venue itself and location are beautiful, and the team was wonderful to work with. The food was also OUTSTANDING - we received so many compliments from guests. They even packed up two extra entrees and pieces of cake for me and my husband to take home! Veritas is the best. We can’t imagine having gotten married anywhere else, and we look forward to many more visits in the future.

Choosing Veritas as our wedding venue was such an easy decision, and we are so happy we chose it! The Veritas team was great to work with, and the venue itself is breathtaking. The food, wine, and setting were all a 10/10! The cherry on top for us was the beautiful Farmhouse at Veritas, where both our immediate families stayed for the long weekend. The Farmhouse was the perfect environment for us to spend great quality time with our loved ones during our special weekend. We will forever cherish the memories we made at Veritas during our wedding weekend, and look forward to coming back to celebrate our future wedding anniversaries. After almost 2 years of planning and anticipation, we got married 5/28/22 at Veritas. Safe to say it was everything we wanted and more. Everything was spectacular, from the views to the food to the planner to the service. We felt well attended to and relaxed and our guests were raving about the beautiful location and the food/wine. It truly felt like a fairytale wedding. If you’re someone who wants a beautiful backdrop and a venue that will take some of the stress of planning away, Veritas is for you!

Veritas was the PERFECT venue for our wedding!
I knew I wanted an outdoor ceremony with a beautiful view, but also wanted to find a venue with a ballroom for the reception. Veritas offered both and so much more. I actually looked at 10-12 different venues and none of them seemed right. Veritas was the last venue I looked at and I knew the second I drove in that this was the one. The venue is naturally so beautiful that I barely had to decorate! Emily was an absolute angel and so amazing to work with. She was so incredibly helpful and always responded right away to my 1,000 questions. Everything about Veritas is amazing from the food, the wine, the people, the incredible view, and the stunning ballroom. Thank you to the Veritas team for helping bring my dream wedding to life!

Veritas Vineyard and Winery is what wedding winery dreams are made of! We knew when we booked Veritas as our wedding venue that we would not regret it, and boy has that proven to be true. From start to finish, we have been blown away: The beauty of the vineyard that we have loved for years, the friendliness of all of the staff that we have come to know, the value of the wedding services, quality of the food and wine, and all around event execution.

We hired Emily as our day of coordinator and really, she felt like she was our full-time wedding coordinator because of how gracious she is in helping her couples. Working with her was an absolute pleasure; being from out of state and basically planning a "destination" wedding, we really appreciated her super fast replies, helpful advice that she gave, recommendations for other local vendors to work with (even down to the best nail salon in cville!!), and day of event execution. From answering our millions of questions, to helping us through our extensive (and impressive!!) reception food tasting, to carefully packing our personal decor late night after the wedding, Emily was a trusty key component to our wedding day. She is a true gem!

We cannot say enough about how fantastic of a venue this is, and hope that all couples who get married here experience the magic of Veritas the way that we did (as well as our guests!!)!!

Our wedding celebration at Veritas was perfect! From the beauty of the venue to the high quality of the catering, the winery met or exceeded our various expectations. Emily, the event coordinator, was a true pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and engaging while planning the event, thorough in her planning and coordination, and flexible when it came to both planning needs and events that arose on the day of the event. We cannot praise the food highly enough --- the chefs worked with us to pick our perfect menu and were excited to work with us to create a few special items for our guests, including an entire entrée. Finally, as an LGBTQ+ couple, we are profoundly grateful that Veritas provided a welcoming and comfortable environment for us on our special day.

Veritas was the perfect place to have our wedding! The setting is gorgeous Virginia wine country - everyone told us afterward how beautiful they thought it was. We had our ceremony outside in front of the mountains, our cocktail hour on their porch and in the tasting room and our reception in the ballroom. It was the perfect space and because it's so beautiful, I didn't have to decorate much! Emily 100% made the experience amazing. She is hands down the best person to work with while planning a wedding. She was flexible, responsive, and truly meant what she said that she would help us make our dream wedding a reality. We hired her for day-of coordination and she made sure the day went by flawlessly! 10/10 would recommend getting married at Veritas.

We loved everything about Veritas from start to finish. It's located about 25 minutes from Charlottesville, so our guests were able to stay in a fun town for the weekend and got to see some of the beautiful surroundings for our wedding day. Emily and Taylor at Veritas were amazing to work with - always cheerful and responsive, and had wonderful enthusiasm for us and our big day. Emily even helped steam my wedding dress the day of, as it was a little wrinkled from transporting it there. We lucked out with ideal weather on March 30, so were able to get married outside with the mountains behind us (and with the sun setting right as we said our I dos). The food and wine were amazing, and we felt like we were part of the Veritas family. Everyone - everyone - raved about our wedding and even a year later, continue to do so. We weren't looking for perfection, but ended up with it, and are so grateful for the folks at Veritas for making our wedding day incredibly special.

My hubby and I got married at the BEAUTIFUL Veritas this past May and to summarize - the day was AN. ABSOLUTE. DREAM. COME. TRUE. It was one of the first Virginia wineries we went to years ago. We decided to revisit while hunting for a wedding venue and are so relieved we did. Besides the gorgeous landscape, we liked the idea of a wedding package that included tables, chairs, basic linens, wine barrels, and other little things we would've had to search for on our own. Emily and Jessie were amazing from start to finish. They kept notes of what we liked/disliked throughout the planning process. Emily was always just a quick email away - I really don't think I had to wait longer than 24 hours before we had a response. All of our guests were so impressed at how smoothly everything was organized. They were willing to incorporate our food requests for an Asian-influenced menu which meant so much to my family. Not only was the food delicious but no one was kept waiting for their meal. We have loved coming back to visit and running into Emily. She treats us like a part of the Veritas family. Picking Veritas as our wedding venue was the best decision of our life! We worked with Jami as well as our wedding planner and they made everything so perfect! They accommodated every need or question we had (as ridiculous as some of them were!) I never felt as if I was bothering anyone and they always had a smile on their face! I will forever be grateful for Veritas and can't wait to return for our one year!

We hosted our wedding at Veritas in May 2019 and would highly recommend them! Emily and the Veritas team were great to work with from start to finish. We especially loved how responsive they were to emails which makes a huge difference when you're in the thick of coordinating.

If you've visited the winery and vineyard, it's abundantly clear the grounds are stunning and everything from the tasting room, reception area, and bridal suite are well appointed. It feels high end but still approachable and cozy (avoiding the typical reception hall vibe).

On the wedding day, Veritas exceeded all of our expectations and we just had the best time celebrating there. The service was so friendly and accommodating, the food was exceptional, their level of professionalism, the setting and views....just everything.

It was so wonderful to be able to enjoy ourselves and know we were in such good hands. We definitely know why our friends (who also had their wedding there) raved about them and we are so glad we chose Veritas! Our guests are also still talking about how great everything was.

We worked with Emily at Veritas for our day of coordination. She made the entire day so much easier than it could have been. The entire venue was fantastic and gorgeous. The food was fantastic! The only thing was that the cake was set up in the corner and a lot of people never found it--I would have asked them to announce it, had I known. However, it was fantastic for my groom and myself. There was always a fresh glass of wine at our places, they met us with a tray of hor d'oeuvres after the ceremony to make sure we had a chance to eat, and they were great about setting everything up without a lot of input from us. The space was fantastic, and they were very flexible when one of the buses bringing guests didn't show up and the ceremony had to be pushed back slightly.

YES! I hope everyone has the same wonderful experience I had with Veritas. From their staff to the venue, everything was so much better that I could have hoped for. Their event staff will work closely with you to make your wedding dreams come true. And the simplistic elegance of the whole property matched my style perfectly. I'm still hearing about how beautiful our venue was, and all credit goes to Veritas. The catering is out of this world good - like really good! Definitely not your average, just so-so wedding food. No, it was AMAZING! Our accommodates for the day were picture perfect, and I could not be happier. Taylor (event manager) is fantastic - she really delivered on all accounts! We loved our wedding day for many reasons, but Veritas is certainly one of the top reasons! I would recommend everyone get married there!

Veritas Vineyard & Winery was an absolutely PERFECT venue for our wedding. They made all of our wedding dreams come true. Not only is the venue absolutely breathtaking, but the food is INCREDIBLE! From the moment we took our first tour of the venue everyone was beyond friendly and accommodating. Jami, their Event Manager and also our Day-Of-Coordinator, went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. She was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and timely throughout the whole process. She answered every email within minutes and called me a month before our wedding to solidify every single detail and made sure they were able to do everything I had envisioned on our wedding day, and they did not disappoint! Jami made our day-of timeline and coordinated with all of our vendors to make our day perfect run so smoothly. Our guests wouldn’t stop raving about the delicious food and wine and the beautiful venue. When my bridesmaids arrived the morning of the wedding they greeted us with champagne, juice, water, coffee, and we even ordered delicious sandwiches from The Terrace to eat before the ceremony. We searched for months for the perfect wedding venue and Veritas truly gave us the wedding of our dreams! Thank you Jami and Veritas!

Everything was absolutely perfect. We fell in love with Veritas years ago and knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Jami was our coordinator and she was so responsive with all our emails and so lovely to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better time at our wedding. And despite the crazy wind and rain that day, nothing can take away from the beauty of their property.

I am a wedding planner based out of Richmond, VA, and I was blown away by Veritas and its extremely capable staff led by Grace and Elise. I recently planned a wedding for clients in the ballroom of the main house and on the lawn overlooking the vineyard on the property, and it was completely seamless thanks to the Veritas staff. In the two years leading up to the event, email communication was always prompt and thorough, and as a planner, that is HUGE. Grace and Elise were only ever kind, informative, and helpful which created a wonderful working relationship, and the best possible environment for our clients. The food service was excellent, the setup and cleanup of the ceremony and reception was quick and efficient, and, in general, their level of commitment to quality service among ALL the staff is unlike ANYTHING I've seen at other venues. We had our wedding reception here this June & it was absolutely spectacular in every way. The staff is incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They worked perfectly with all of our vendors and all aspects of the day went totally smoothly. I loved that the bridesmaids and my mom and I could get ready in the bridal suite the morning of :) Such beautiful scenery, tasty food & wine, and fancy ballroom!

I looked at many wedding venues before finally deciding on where to get married. Nothing compared to Veritas. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Not one thing went wrong and I credit that entirely to my wedding planner and the AMAZING staff at Veritas. They are so dedicated to making the day exactly what you want it to be and are there for you 100%. Every little detail was done just how we imagined it and no request was too much or too difficult for them to handle. They are so open to customizing food, timeline, and details to each bride's needs and will work with you closely on everything.

The location is STUNNING for both ceremony and reception. So many of our guests were in awe over the venue as a whole. It was absolutely the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Our guests were more than thrilled with the scenery, the professionalism of the staff, and the food (which deserves a rave review all on its own). We were told countless times by guests that our wedding was "the best they had ever been to."

Perfect wedding day at Veritas! Could not have had a better experience. During the planning stage they were incredibly flexible and open to ANY requests which I found to be very unique. On the actual wedding day they were wonderful in every way - all of the wedding party and guests had food and wine in our hands like pronto (very important!) and everything was very very smoothly. The hefty price tag is worth every penny (never thought I'd say that but it's so true) and I am so glad that I went with such a beautiful and well run venue. Grace and Veritas Vineyards made our wedding day absolutely perfect! I've been a part of quite a few weddings now, but I can honestly say this was by far the most well orchestrated, decorated and managed one I've been a part of. My parents were elated with Grace and all the staff at Veritas, and many of my guests commented on how smoothly and beautifully everything ran, including the incredible service! From communication with Grace from over a year ago, until now, I have absolutely no negative things to say. We also got so many compliments on the food! (#filetonfleek was trending, seriously). I am truly honored to be a Veritas bride :)

My husband and I had our perfect winter wedding here on 12-30-16. The Veritas family (they're more than just employees) consistently surpassed all of my expectations and impressed me at every turn. This is a group of talented and motivated individuals working together to realize one vision of excellence. Well, I didn't realize how lucky I was at first. The reasons I chose Veritas were their delicious wine, two large indoor spaces, and in-house catering. Basically, it fulfilled all of my requirements for a venue plus I fell in love with the romantic ballroom. The reasons I was thankful (over and over) that I chose Veritas are too numerous to count, but all of those reasons spring from one thing: the consistently high quality of their staff. Specifically, our event manager Grace was very fun and easy to work with: friendly, competent, attentive to detail, and just as eager to throw a great party as I was. Her vendor suggestions were all perfect, which did wonders for my stress levels. She even worked the morning before my event even though she was sick just so that her colleague who was taking over for her, Elise, could get all the little details right. Elise also went above and beyond. Not only did she take over for Grace, she dealt with my cake being late like a champion. Her demeanor was such that I never felt worried and she made sure the cake was on time for serving the guests.

My overall impression of Veritas is that they are committed to taking care of their customers. Their laid back attitude paired with extreme attention to comfort and detail showcase their confidence and passion for their work, and it shines through in their finished products. I felt like my wedding was magical and a perfect expression of my (sometimes vague) ideas and feelings. All of my guests said that it was one of the nicest, tastiest, and most fun weddings they had ever been to.

We just had our wedding at Veritas less than two weeks ago and I cannot stop smiling! Veritas was only one of two venues we looked at and we booked Veritas on the spot, just one week after getting engaged. We were also lucky enough to book the entire Farmhouse at Veritas for our families and part of our bridal party to stay in. Courtney and Grace were beyond helpful and accommodating from answering dozens of questions via email, working with our wedding planner, several on-site visits with external vendors, not to mention the day-of experience. Veritas made the entire process so seamless and we were truly able to relax and soak in our wedding day. The bridal In addition, our photographer was able to get some AMAZING shots in the vineyard that we are absolutely in LOVE with. The backdrop of the area is enough to book the venue. Our guests raved about the beauty of the venue, how delicious all the food and wine was, and how great of a party we had! We loved the weekend so much we are planning a trip back for our one year anniversary with some of our bridal party!

Having our reception at Veritas was an absolute dream! Everything went so smoothly and the wedding coordinators were so helpful! They answered my (many) questions over the year leading up to our wedding (we booked our wedding in August of 2015 and got married in October of 2016). We initially worked with Jill, but loved working with Courtney and Grace once they were hired and were so impressed with their thorough helpfulness. You do need to book your date early though. It's a very popular site, but when you see the property, you instantly understand why. The food is delicious and I received many compliments from our guests. They also managed to help my mom surprise my husband and I with a large ice sculpture of our dog at the cocktail hour. This was especially impressive because I was very involved with all of the planning documents and had no idea this was happening!

We also rented out the Farmhouse on the winery's property and my bridesmaids loved staying so close to the reception. Their food is also amazing and they cater to your every need!

I may be biased, but I HIGHLY recommend Veritas! You won't be disappointed :)

We are still riding a high from our wedding this past weekend, and before the magic wears off I wanted to share what an absolutely incredible experience we had working with Veritas for the past year. From the day that we went to visit the venue until this past Saturday when we went to go collect all of our items we left from the night before - it has been such a pleasure working with them.


The Veritas Team (Courtney and Grace) have been beyond accommodating. They were quick to answer our questions and with detailed responses. They kept us on track to make sure that our tasting, walk-through and rehearsal was planned on time. They made sure that our families had their questions answered and that we were happy throughout the process.


The best thing that I can say is that they made the entire process easy. I can't remember any challenge or obstacle - they made our wedding theme "your wish is our command." And the day of our wedding was more than we ever could have wished for. The location, the scenery, the lights - it was absolutely enchanted.


We had people say it was the best wedding they have ever been to and it restored their faith in love. Our guests couldn't take enough photos of the landscape or the cute LOVE sign in the cocktail/tasting room. Veritas was a perfect fit for our style - we wanted romantic, classy, simple and elegant and we got all of that and more.


Not to mention that the wine is to die for! Make sure you get a bottle of Othello before all else. Also, the Red Star has become our new go-to red.

Veritas gave us our perfect wedding with the least amount of stress possible! The setting is truly one of the most beautiful in Charlottesville, and we loved how everything felt upscale but also comfortable. We cannot thank Courtney and Grace enough for handling all of the littlest details -- our guests raved about the delicious food, the quick service, and the perfect flow of the evening -- and all of the credit is due to Grace for managing our entire night! One of the best perks of Veritas, apart from being able to have the ceremony on-site and catering included, is the multiple options for the ceremony site. We changed our minds from having a lawn to a porch wedding after it rained the day-of, and it gave us such peace-of-mind to know we didn't have to decide our official plan until several hours before the ceremony, AND had several gorgeous options to choose from. A bad-weather plan is essential and could easily become a major stressor in the weeks before the wedding, but this is completely avoided with Veritas! As other reviewers have highlighted, Grace and Courtney are extremely prompt with emails and phone calls, always positive, and very willing to work with you on the smallest details. The tasting was one of our favorite parts of the wedding-planning process and absolutely delicious, and the food tasted just as amazing at the reception. Another great perk of Veritas is that they have worked with many of the local vendors before, so it put very little stress on us to coordinate with the florist, band, cake, make-up artist, etc. since they had all been to Veritas before! All of our guests could not stop raving about how gorgeous the venue is and how much fun they had at our wedding! The only thing I would change would be to go back and be a guest at our wedding -- it was truly that great!

Veritas is the full package if you want a wonderful, stress-free wedding day! The day-of planners are amazing, the food is delicious, and the scenery cannot be beat!!! I would recommend Veritas to anyone looking for a beautiful winery wedding :)

Everything at Veritas was perfect for our January wedding, and we cannot thank the event managers, Courtney and Grace, or the rest of the staff, enough! We had our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding in the mezzanine, and then our gorgeous winter wedding the next day in the tasting room with the reception following in Saddleback Hall. The whole thing really was a dream come true: From getting married before the fireplace to dancing the night away under disco ball and twinkling lights in the reception hall, everything was exactly like what I had imagined. The service was nothing short of exceptional from the moment we first inquired about having our wedding there. They are very prompt with returning emails/phone calls, the tasting and food provided at the actual wedding was lovely and so delicious, and the actual day was incredible. All of our guests had an amazing time, and could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how it was the most fun they've had at a wedding. What more could you want? Thanks so much, Courtney and Grace, for everything! You really went above and beyond for us!!

Veritas gave me my dream wedding. It's my favorite winery in the Charlottesville region. I'd been to several of their galas over the years (got engaged at their New Year's Eve party) and was always so impressed with everything (esp the wine and food), so when I started looking for wedding venues I decided that if I was trying to replicate one of their parties, might as well go right to the source! The place is gorgeous and their staff is wonderful. This was a destination wedding for us but they made it so easy to plan with prompt email responses (sometimes within minutes!) and helpful suggestions. They have a list of vendors on their website which was super useful, most of which are very familiar with working at Veritas which also simplifies things. The whole planning process and even the day of the wedding went so smoothly, I couldn't quite understand why everyone makes such a big fuss about planning a wedding. And I cannot rave enough about the food, it was perfection! All our guests were so impressed. I mean, each and every filet mignon was cooked to perfection - no easy feat for that size crowd! And they made the best risotto I've ever eaten. I highly recommend anyone who wants a winery wedding to use Veritas, you truly cannot go wrong.

I do not think I could say enough about Chole and Jill who were my wedding coordinators at Veritas. From the first visit the staff was super helpful. The venue is stunning. The moment my husband and I walked into their ballroom I knew this would be our wedding venue. The food was amazing, the wine was amazing, and the bridal suite was absolutely stunning. I could not have been happier with our choice. Chole and Jill were quick to respond to emails throughout the entire process, and gave great suggestions. When I wanted different colored napkins, they found them.
When you choose Veritas Winery as youe venue know you will have everything handled and you will have the wedding of your dreams. I didn't have a care in the world the day of the wedding. All of our guest said they had a ball, and I can't stop looking at all of our amazing photos.

Veritas was a WONDERFUL place to host a wedding. Jill , one of the event coordinators, was a perfect balance of personally engaging, professional and helpful throughout the entire process. The space was gorgeous on it's own and I loved having the piece of mind that we had a beautiful back up plan when it began raining day of. Could not have asked for a better team or location!

Ohh where do I begin with Veritas?? They are TRULY amazing and are one of the BEST wedding venues with the most incredible staff! We were sold on our first meeting with Jill McKinley (who is literally the reason I chose this venue from the get-go!) as she was so incredibly helpful, attentive, professional, not to mention bubbly and super sweet! We loved that Veritas included everything from the barrels to the chairs, tables, linens, uplighting, etc. You name it, they have it! And if they don't have something, you better believe they'll find a way to make it happen! I also loved that they have their own chef and ohhhhh was the food DELICIOUS!! Seriously....our guests are STILL raving about all the food and how it was presented - the plating was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately it rained on our wedding day, but Jill and the rest of the Veritas crew created an AMAZING in door ceremony for us that you would never believe was our Plan B. We also had so much fun getting ready in Veritas' beautiful bridal suite and were pampered with sparkling wine, sandwiches and other goodies from Jill and the rest of the amazing staff. I could literally go on and on, but to sum it up Veritas is truly a dream wedding venue with gorgeous mountain views, incredible wine, DELICIOUS food, and a gorgeous ballroom that makes for an amazing wedding reception! I wish I could get married all over again!

Having our ceremony and reception at Veritas truly made the day phenomenal. Of course your wedding will be beautiful, special, and memorable no matter where you hold it, but there really is something about this gorgeous vineyard (and even moreso, the incredible staff) that makes the whole experience that much more positive. Every single interaction we had with Jill McKinley or Chloe Hodson was professional, friendly, and surprisingly easy. We planned our wedding from Minneapolis, so there were a number of times we had to rely on email to plan things and make decisions. They were always super responsive and beyond helpful. I cannot say enough how much the people make your wedding planning process. We struck gold with Chloe, Jill, and the entire Veritas staff. It never once felt difficult or confusing working with them. If anything, they tried to take things OFF our plates. It was amazing when we arrived to Veritas the day before our wedding. We literally just handed off everything to them, and they made magic happen. Everything was put together beautifully and ran so, so smoothly on our wedding day. I wanted to do it again the very next day, and the very first thing I would have kept the same (other than, of course, my husband) is that it would have to be at Veritas. Chloe even stood in for us when our officiant didn't show up for our rehearsal. She didn't bat an eye, and took complete charge of the situation. On a final note, I'm biased, but I think their food has got to be as good as it gets!

We had our small wedding/elopement at the Farmhouse at Veritas and it was just perfect for us and our immediate family. The bed and breakfast itself is beautifully appointed and furnished, with gorgeous views of the vineyard and lots of potential ceremony and photo locations. Breakfast in the garden was delicious with fresh croissants and a sweet or savory option. We had a five course dinner prepared by Chef Andy that was amazing. They were great about designing a pescatarian menu and accommodating a guest with food allergies. There are lovely touches for guests throughout, like a happy hour with Veritas wine and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Chloe helped me immensely in coordinating with the chef, florist and bakery. She even coordinated a last minute horseback riding tour of the vineyard for my in-laws. She really took care of every detail. Everyone from the owner to the waitstaff to housekeeping was so great to us. Our day was so relaxing and laid back, and yet so elegant because of the excellent service and coordination. I can't wait to return for our anniversary! I would highly recommend the Farmhouse for an intimate wedding or elopement venue. Our weekend was perfect and our guests had nothing but glowing things to say about the Farmhouse.

Jill and the entire team at Veritas was simply amazing. Everything down to every detail was perfection and they executed the vision that I had for the entire weekend flawlessly. Literally, the day after the wedding I was asking my parents/family members/friends what were the problems/"fires" they put out and took care of for me while I was blissfully enjoying myself, and not one person could tell me one mishap. We also rented out the bed and breakfast on the property which was incredible. Every person who stayed there (including myself and my Groom) were amazed by the house, the staff and the food! We had a brunch the Sunday after the wedding for family which was simply amazing.

When we picked Veritas as our wedding venue, the views and property got us - hook, line and sinker! I was hoping that the food would be at least "average" and was blown away. If you are interested in a venue where you will be the main priority and have the most amazing experience, Veritas is where you should choose to spend the best day of your life!

Jill and the Veritas events staff made the entire wedding planning process seamless and executed all our ideas on the day of our wedding effortlessly. Jill, especially, was incredibly easy to communicate with. The venue is breathtaking, the food was delicious (many of our guests said that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding), and overall - our wedding was a dream come true! My husband and I couldn't be more happy with our choice to get married at Veritas.

I cannot rave enough about Veritas as a wedding venue! The staff went above and beyond to make our vision for the wedding a reality. Additionally, our rehearsal dinner and stay at the onsite B&B, the Farmhouse, was unforgettable. More than two years later, we still receive comments that our wedding is still the one to beat - and that is all due to Veritas and some of the great vendors they recommended to us.

I can not say enough good things about working with and having my wedding at Veritas Vineyard. The staff was amazingly accommodating and the venue is gorgeous. I was planning this wedding from the west coast so I was specifically looking for a venue that had a lot of options built in like being able to have both the ceremony and reception at the location, including table & chairs, as well as catering and this venue definitely covered that and so much more. The wedding planning staff is quick to respond and answer any questions. They are also very flexible to work with your idea of what you want for your dream wedding with decor and the little details. I would absolutely recommend Veritas Vineyard to anyone and everyone and highly encourage you to take a visit. My wedding was more amazing than I ever thought it could be and its because of the venue and staff of Veritas!

Amazing. We were so thrilled with our wedding at Veritas. The food was amazing, the wine was delicious, the staff are incredible and Jill, our coordinator, was a life-saver. The venue is gorgeous, rain or shine. Our guests commented repeatedly that they had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the food and the beauty of the venue. We could not have wished for a more beautiful wedding and on the day of, Jill is so on top of things, we had zero stress. We had a perfect wedding day and we would 100% recommend Veritas as a wedding and reception venue.

If you haven't looked into Veritas for your wedding venue yet, I would highly suggest you do so! Our entire experience with the staff was wonderful! We mostly worked with Jill during our planning process, and Hattie and Grace were amazing resources the day of our wedding...we couldn't have done it without all three of them. The staff the night of the wedding was so professional, and the food was amazing. We got nothing but compliments on our choice of venue, and many of our guests were happily surprised that their food was delicious...not always a given with some wedding caterers! The venue itself is beautiful...the views, the Tasting Room and Patio, and the Event Hall, all of which helped create an amazing ambiance for our wedding. The Bridal Suite is beautiful and relaxing, an amazing place for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready. We'll be back to visit again and again in the future...we can't get enough!

Yesterday as we celebrated our 1st anniversary, we visited what we consider our special place, Veritas Vineyards. A year later, we have no regrets with selecting Veritas as our wedding venue. They went above and beyond on everything and helped make our wedding day perfect! Their breathtaking beauty both inside and outside is obvious, and staff's professionalism matches. Jill was always welcoming and accommodating, and just a pleasure to work with. She was extremely fast and thorough when answering all of my emails. Chef Jonathan was top notched, and my father still talks about the food quality and presentation. It is clear that Veritas knows what they are doing! I highly recommend them for your wedding venue... worth every penny!

Our wedding at Veritas was an absolute dream! From the planning process (which was long for us, about 16 months) with all of the help and support of the amazing Jill along the way, to the day of, it was absolutely flawless. The place runs like a well-oiled machine and makes it possible for even the most stressed-out bride (see: me) to be completely at ease on her wedding day. Spending the morning in the gorgeous bridal suite with my girls and watching the day unfold was incredible. Our guests can't stop gushing about the wonderful staff at Veritas, the incredibly delicious food (some have said the best they've ever had at a wedding, and I concur), and the incredible backdrop for the ceremony outside and the reception inside. The pricetag may be on the higher side for venues in the area, but it is worth every penny to know that you will be in the very best of hands on your big day. Not a single thing went wrong. I can't say thank you enough to the staff at Veritas for making all of our dreams come true!

Veritas was absolutely wonderful to work with and they made the whole wedding day run smoothly. I cannot say enough about the Event Manager Jill. She responds quickly and enthusiastically to every question and has the best suggestions! The whole venue is beautiful, the food is absolutely amazing, and the service is flawless. Every cost is laid out up front for you, so there are no hidden fees. And it is worth every cent. The whole wedding ran so smoothly and Jill was flexible and willing to work with us on everything we asked about. I was impressed with how much the other vendors enjoy working at Veritas and with Jill in particular. Everyone worked together seamlessly and I couldn't believe how smoothly the whole event ran! Thank you so much to Jill and everyone at Veritas for a truly beautiful wedding day!

Veritas was where the wedding of my dreams happened! I couldn't have asked for more friendly staff, an AMAZING chef, and a beautiful backdrop. The price was great for what you were getting! Jill and the other staff were fabulous and were able to answer any of my questions that a bride might have. They also were up to do anything that I might have wanted for the wedding!

We had our wedding at Veritas last fall - we wanted an really intimate wedding with only our immediate family and friends that was romantic and special without busting our budget. Veritas did all of that plus so much more. The wine-paired meal was so fabulous that we have family members that still talk about it. Every time I have a sip of Veritas wine it brings me right back to that very special night. We had hoped to have our ceremony outside but the clouds/rain wouldn't allow it so the Veritas staff did a beautiful set-up on the porch - However, they were willing up until the last minute to move everything outside should the sun have come out. We had our reception in the tasting room because of the size of wedding (25 guests) but the ballroom is beautiful for larger weddings. Jill the wedding coordinator was just incredible both before and during the wedding. She always responded incredibly quickly to any questions or concerns and kept everything in order and organized with the different vendors. On the day of the wedding she kept everything on time and flowing and even help my dress train when I was going over a puddle - way above and beyond!

Wonderful venue for our Friday evening rehearsal dinner. The staff was excellent in every way. The food was superb! A nice fire on the back porch during the cocktail hour added a warm touch to a cool May evening. The lighting was just right on each table. They were very flexible with creation of children's meals which all appreciated, especially the parents. I could not have asked for a better evening.

After seeing the Veritas Winery website, we immediately knew that was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. Once we were able to make the trip from Maryland, we fell in love with Veritas even more! Pictures do not do the place justice! We booked our date over a year and half in advance, and we were thankful that we did, since it is such a well sought after venue.

We worked with both Jill, but mostly Francis during the planning process and they were both nothing short of amazing. They were very accessible, prompt in answering calls and emails, and worked with us with any questions and concerns that we had leading up to that day and during the wedding day itself.

What impressed me the most was that they really took care of you on that day - making sure that I didn't have any worries and that my family was also able to enjoy the day. They brought wine and snacks up to the Bridal Suite (which is gorgeous, bright and welcoming) for the bridal party throughout the day. They made sure all our guests were taken care of. Everyone was so impressed by the professionalism by all the staff. The food and wine was a hit (everyone loved the Red Star) and Chef did an amazing job with all our entrees and worked closely with us throughout the tasting and the last minute changes we had.

Veritas is a highly recommended venue. Wonderful staff, accurate quotes on pricing and straight forward with everything that should be expected, wonderful food, and of course wonderful wine.

Wow! The on-site events coordinator, Jill, was incredibly helpful, warm, supportive, and willing to work with us to make our day special down to the last detail. We kept things pretty simple, but there were still lots of details to iron out. Jill made the process a pleasure.

We had our ceremony outdoors, facing the mountains and it goes without saying that the venue is so incredibly beautiful. We felt very fortunate to be able to share such a beautiful site with family and friends visiting from out of state. The food was fresh and top-quality (important since my family was raised in the restaurant business). Everything was so good the menu selection proved tough to narrow down! Even my husband and I made sure to eat our meals that evening - which was made easier by the professionalism and care of the staff. Everyone was very attentive and provided us with helpful guidance and support the day of the event.

The bridal suite was beautifully redone, and did I mention how wonderful Jill is?

I could go on, but needless to say, it may cost more than other places, but everything will be taken care of for you on your wedding day. We were just very happy with the whole event, and have beautiful memories to look back on.

Impossible to put into words how absolutely perfect our wedding day was, largely thanks to Jill and the amazing team at Veritas. The day of our wedding I woke up to insane fog, unseasonably cold temps, and RAIN -- but as other Veritas brides can attest to, Jill and team do such an unbelievable job of making you feel completely at ease. From the second I walked into the bridal suite (which is newly revamped, and BEAUTIFUL) I knew it would be the best day of my life. From the small details like having sparkling wine and appetizers on hand for the bridal party, and making sure the sparkler send off went off without a hitch (I think the team has it down to a science now) -- to the much bigger details like keeping to the schedule we planned for despite a shuttle breaking down (of course!), carrying out the decor ideas I had in a way that was probably better than my original vision, and don't get me started on the actual FOOD and service (a month later, guests are still telling me how amazing their dinner was). When picking a venue, I wanted 1- The wow factor and 2- A place with flexible staff, who weren't afraid to let us plan "outside the box" We definitely got that with Veritas. Jill (and Frances!) never made me feel like I was an annoying bride (though I probably was with all of my emails and last minute change of plans!), they were always insanely responsive, and most importantly, they let my husband and I create a day that was truly "us". I wish I could relive that day/night again, and again, and am SO happy I picked Veritas, as I know the day wouldn't have been as perfect anywhere else. I highly recommend any brides looking at Veritas to book EARLY-- Dates fill up very quickly (especially Spring and Fall dates)! Happy planning!

It sounds cliché, but getting married at Veritas was actually a dream come true. The venue is, obviously, stunning but the value goes far beyond the beauty. Simply put, the operation is a winner. From our first contact with Jill (one of the event managers) in the very early stages of venue shopping to the day after our wedding, we felt completely taken care of. There was no question Jill or Frances (the other event manager) could not answer and nothing they could not do. I hate to gush, but it is all true. And, for that reason, you can also rest assured that you won’t need a wedding planner at Veritas because they truly take care of everything—from tables, chairs, linens, etc. to timelines and running your day flawlessly. To boot, the food and wine are fabulous (we’ve lost count of the rave reviews from all of our guests)! I could go on all day, because we have nothing but good things to say, but suffice it to say that Veritas is worth every single penny (and probably more). Run, don’t walk to book Veritas, you will NOT regret it!

My fiance and I always knew we wanted to get married near Charlottesville, and I'm so glad we settled on Veritas for the location. We toured other popular venues in the area but nothing else compared to the quality and clarity (which is VERY important when you're spending lots of $) of service that we received at Veritas. Frances, our event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with - during the planning stages, she was quick to answer all my questions and, on the big day, she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly. I received countless compliments on the food (Veritas has an amazing Executive Chef), and the professionalism of the wait staff. Even the rainy weather we got that day was forgotten, as Veritas flawlessly executed "plan b" with the ceremony site on the veranda. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this location or its professional staff highly enough!

I don't even know where to begin with all of the positive feedback we have for Veritas! Not only is the location beautiful, the staff is made up of some of the nicest and most professional people in the business. Jill and Frances, the on site coordinators, made the entire planning process a breeze. They were extremely responsive and patiently dealt with all of the questions we had... down to the details. It was obvious from the beginning that they knew exactly what they were doing and it made coordinating our vendors and planning the day completely hassle free. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding (with the best food) that they'd ever been to, and I think that speaks to the level of service we received from Veritas! There were even boxed meals and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our limo at the end of the night :) I would HIGHLY recommend everything about Veritas if you're considering it as your venue!

Briefly, we had the good fortune to have our wedding ceremony and reception at Veritas Vineyard and have absolutely no regrets regarding our choice. Jill was a pleasure to work with and made the planning painless and simple, even from over 700 miles away. The venue itself is beautiful and the attentive service provided by the entire staff (i.e., chef, bartenders, wait staff) was excellent. At the end of the night the feedback from all of our guests was exemplary. We are still kicking ourselves that it was truly our wedding – we couldn’t have imagined anything more perfect.
Pros: 1) the venue, including the grounds and reception hall, is beautiful, 2) skilled event coordinators (Jill was extremely quick to respond to (many) questions via email. I cannot overstate how wonderful she was to work with both before and during the event – helping to remove a stain from a dress, checking on the weather forecast, providing suggestions/advice, etc.) 3) attention to detail (there is no need to hire an additional coordinator - Jill helped to create a timeline and provided direction for the rehearsal and during the event, Jill and wait captain kept us on schedule during event, and staff assisted with setup of items and ensured everything needed was provided), 4) food and wine are delicious, 5) added touches (had appetizers, sparkling wine and/or beer ready and waiting for wedding party arrival, snacks for bride and groom after ceremony, sent us away with a vendor’s meal), 6) flexibility (forecast was calling for a rain shower at the exact start of our ceremony so staff set up at two locations – outside and under tent on deck), 7) upfront pricing (while Veritas was one of the pricier venues we selected from, it is very clear from the time you sign the contract what you are paying and there were no surprises after the event).

Our wedding reception was held at Veritas. It was the most beautiful reception and it could not have been possible without the expertise of Chloe from Veritas. She made my vision a reality. Working with her and the other people at Veritas was a pleasant experience and they were all complete professionals. Chloe went above and beyond what was in our contract and I feel so lucky to have had such a positive experience. The food at Veritas is to die for and the wine is perfection. Such a fabulous experience!!

I just returned from my honeymoon and the first thing I wanted to do was provide vendor reviews, as this was EXTREMELY helpful for me during the wedding planning process. I was fortunate with all of the vendors I worked with, but none of it would've happened if it weren't for the incredible venue, Veritas staff, and particularly Chloe.

I was concerned about the cost at first, but quickly realized that Veritas is just extremely upfront with all of the costs (and, due to their hypothetical breakdown of costs they provide, they helped us to be very realistic with what our reception would cost). Chloe and Rebecca were always quick to respond to my random emails containing lists of questions that I needed answered efficiently in order to secure other vendors. Every time I stopped by Veritas the staff was warm and accommodating so that I could spread the planning process out over time.

The food here is amazing. My husband and I went to a tasting 6 months prior to the wedding with both sets of our parents, where we were able to try many different dishes (and wines!) while overlooking the beautiful vineyard and mountains. It was so difficult to pick, since everything is so delicious. We even had the opportunity to meet the chef, who is so wonderful.

I was completely blown away by the professionalism of the staff of Veritas. Because they have so many weddings here, they are extremely comfortable with how to best serve (and staff) weddings of different sizes. They handled over 200 people at our wedding (which had to be indoors due to weather) with such ease and grace. The day of the wedding I kept walking downstairs from the bridal suite to see if I could help, just to be turned away by the incredible staff (including one of the owners!) who were working so hard to put every single little detail together. It was also wonderful being able to get ready with all of my bridesmaids right upstairs in the large bridal suite (which is where we had our hair/make-up artists come). It helped make the day even easier.

All of our guests still talk about how wonderful the food, wine, and service were throughout the whole night. Veritas, I cannot thank you enough -- you are a wonderful group of people and my husband and I plan on being wine club members forever!:)

Veritas Winery is a bride's dream venue! The outdoor scenery is beautiful and the indoor tasting room and ballroom are breathtaking. The most amazing detail is the white drapery surrounding the ballroom walls with white lights sparkling in the background to create a fairytale atmosphere. The venue is absolutely stunning before personal decorations are even added.

Chloe and her staff were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make the planning process easy for my parents and me. We communicated often via phone and email, and had a fabulous time at the food and wine tastings. We had a wonderful experience working with Chloe and will continue to recommend Veritas for any event!

Veritas made our wedding day more special than we would have ever hoped for. Chloe did an awesome job the entire time while staying cool and calm like she always does. The wait staff was fantastic and was able to accommodate all of our and our guests needs. We had a blast!

If I could give Chloe and the Veritas family 100 stars, I would. This is the most gorgeous venue, the wine is amazing, the food is amazing, Chloe is amazing. I think the thing I appreciated most about Chloe was that she made me feel like I was the only bride (when I know she deals with about a hundred weddings each year). She was responsive, flexible, understanding, and fun. She was also a great vendor resource for Charlottesville and was a huge help for me not being from the area. The entire process of working with Veritas was fun, and I highly recommend picking them if you're undecided.

We had our wedding at Veritas in April and have nothing but positive things to say. The Veritas team was amazing and made it such a memorable and perfect day. Veritas was the perfect venue for our late-April wedding! The location and scenery is already beautiful, but all of the behind-the-scenes coordination and implementation are what made our wedding "experience" so perfect. Grace and Elise frequently communicated with us and were timely and flexible in their responses, from the beginning of the planning process through our wedding day. We knew that they were coordinating many weddings at the same time as ours, but they always made us feel like ours was a priority. We had a wedding planner in addition to Grace and Elise, only because my husband and I lived a couple of hours away and needed additional help with coordination. You do not need a planner, but if you do hire one, Grace and Elise will work together with her/him to make sure everything is flawless day-of. Another one of the factors that made us pick Veritas was our ability to have a relatively big wedding (anticipated 200-225 guests) AND have multiple back-up options if weather was an issue. That combination was hard to find at other nearby wineries. The food and wine were amazing! Chef's dishes are incredible and he was willing to be flexible with some of our guests with food allergies. We also appreciated everything the venue included (or provided if desired), like the beautiful draping and lighting in the ballroom, the furniture for the ceremony and reception, linens, dinnerware, etc. There are so many other factors that make Veritas a perfect wedding venue. We had the wedding of our dreams and we can't wait to visit over and over again for years to come. Thank you, Veritas!

Living 2hrs from the venue, Chris could not have made it any easier on us! The venue was perfect all around. From the ease of working with vendors (flowers, photographer, etc) to the amazing food that they offered on site, the day was a dream.

Our wedding day was a dream come true. Just one visit to Veritas and it will be easy to picture yourself celebrating your big day there. From the beautiful landscaping to the elegant design of the reception hall, great wine, good food...Veritas has it all. We were planning the wedding from California and Chloe, the event coordinator at Veritas, was so flexible and responsive. As we were pricing other venues in the area we first thought that Veritas was out of our price range. We soon realized that Veritas was much more up front about all of the costs whereas others had more hidden costs. Veritas was perfect for us because it was almost a 'one stop shop' with a fantastic catering service, beautiful linens, chairs, plates, flatware, dedicated event coordinator, etc - all of these little things add up. It was very easy to plan a gorgeous wedding there, even from the other side of the country.

We got married at Veritas last weekend and the venue was outstanding in every day. The weather and views were beautiful (go for early spring!), the food was terrific, and the service and support were excellent. In particular we wanted to commend Jessee, the Veritas events manager, who was our Day of Coordinator. He responded to all our questions in a prompt, professional and low-key way and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a success. To give an example: he overheard me praising one of the appetizers (get the pastrami bao buns!) to my new brother-in-law at the end of the cocktail hour, and found and brought him one of the last ones so he had a chance to try them. We can't recommend Veritas more highly as a wedding venue, especially if you're looking to combine a beautiful spot with excellent food and service.

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. My guests were absolutely wow'd! Dinner was delicious and the ballroom was stunningly beautiful. I can't say enough good things about Jill. She made herself totally available and answered all my questions promptly. We received so many compliments - all our guests said it was the best wedding EVER and, of course, we feel the same!

Truly exceptional. Great food, picturesque setting, huge space, supportive staff. Veritas has it all. Our wedding coordinator, Jill, was incredibly helpful and gave us direction at every turn of the road. I felt like we were on cruise control working with her, during what was a hectic planning process at times. The waiting list is quite long, but it was worth the wait. For large parties, chartered buses is a must. I'd do it all again, but that's not possible :)

What a beautiful backdrop to a beautiful moment in life. Everything was gorgeous the draping in the main ballroom....the romantic lighting they provide. Jill the coordinator truly made life so much easier whenever we had to make arrangements, changes, honestly anything we asked for she made happen. The staff really worked hard. The dinner was a little behind, but everyone worked together to get food out. The guest raved about how delicious everything was! Thank you Chef! Veritas is a magical place and truly encompasses the beauty of the mountains and Virginia landscape! Oh the bridal suite was amazing it was the best birds eye view as the day unfolded:)

We loved having our wedding reception at Veritas! The views are absolutely breathtaking and perfect for photos -- the event managers are approachable, flexible, and responsive -- and the food options were great. In particular, we loved their vegetarian options, which were creative and delicious (better than just steamed veggies piled high on a plate!) and their willingness to put together unique appetizers. The one "issue" we encountered were changed prices for food and bev items; Veritas raised their prices mid-season without warning. Once we highlighted the discrepancies to the event manager, she immediately adjusted them back to the rates we had been quoted when we signed the contract.

Veritas was lovely! When we put down a deposit we'd only seen the venue online but I fell in love with the pictures & I didn't want anyone to take our date so we took a big chance. It was totally worth it! The ballroom is breathtaking & our wedding looked like something out of a magazine. Jill was incredibly helpful and responsive, her or someone from her staff was available whenever we had any questions or concerns. If you have the budget for Veritas I would highly recommend you have your wedding here, you will be very happy.

We got nothing by positive comments about Veritas! The wine was fantastic, the venue was beautiful, and the staff was accommodating when we ended up moving our ceremony inside the ballroom due to weather. They did a great job staging the ceremony, then shuffling everything back to the ballroom setup for dinner. Our photographs are beautiful, largely due to the beautiful backdrop that Veritas provides. The food is FANTASTIC.

Veritas was a perfect setting for our wedding. We'd planned to have it outside under the trees but Mother Nature had something else in mind for us. The day before the wedding, we met with Chris (the on-site coordinator who is very friendly and helpful) who walked us through two indoor layouts in the wine-tasting room. We selected one and just went with it. Since the wedding, I've heard nothing but compliments about the staff and the venue (and the wine!). I would highly recommend Veritas to brides in the Charlottesville area.

Our wedding at Vertias Vineyard was absolutely everything we had hoped for and more. The staff was attentive, helped to set out all of our diy items and made sure everyone was happy. They even tracked down our cake which had not showed up by the time of the reception.
The setting is breathtaking inside and out. I highly recommend Vertias!

Veritas is a beautiful place to have a wedding, and my husband and I feel very fortunate that we were able to celebrate our marriage in such an incredible location. The food was excellent, and we especially appreciated that the chef happily accommodated our vegetarian menu. The Veritas staff were very friendly and professional. There were a few communication glitches along the way (mainly scheduling mistakes which were promptly rectified) which failed to inspire full confidence; however, the event planning staff really shined on our wedding weekend. They took care of so much and so well! Our evening wedding went off without a hitch, and the Veritas staff also did a lot to reduce everyone's stress level too. I would definitely recommend Veritas to anyone looking to have a relaxed but elegant vineyard wedding.

The only reason Veritas didn't get 5/5 stars is because I think they are expensive, but that is the case with any wedding venue in the Charlottesville and even Northern Virginia / DC area!

I worked primarily with Rebecca, but also interacted with the other special event staff. Rebecca is professional, friendly, and thought of everything! My wedding night was perfect and as someone who works in the Public Relations field, I know that events like this are not as simple as they appear.

My husband and I were instantly attracted to Veritas because it is simply beautiful. The setting is gorgeous and the ballroom is breathtaking. They obviously had weddings in mind when they built the facility. Me and my bridesmaids got ready in the bridal rooms upstairs which was really nice. My husband complained a bit about being shoved in the basement, but its not like they were down there that long :-) That is really the only downfall (besides the costs) that we could thing of -- and as you can tell, it's not that important.

I was planning on having an indoor wedding, but luckily VA had the warmest March ever, so we were able to hold our ceremony outside on the lawn. I appreciated the flexibility of the staff--they only needed a few hours notice for the ceremony location. Also, a major plus was being able to store our wedding "stuff" at Veritas on Friday and then we could pick it up on Sun (luckily there weren't other weddings planned for the Fri/Sun around our date) Not having to worry about packing everything up after the wedding was such a nice feature. Flexibility like that is not found everywhere!

I could go on and on and on -- but I need to keep this short. I highly recommend Veritas. I was a little nervous about the final bar costs (they bill based on consumption), but in the end, the final cost of everything was right on par with other weddings in the Charlottesville/DC/NoVA area. I had the wedding of my dreams and look forward to going back every year with my husband to sip some wine on the lawn and reminisce.

We held our wedding here in May 2022. This is an amazing venue for anyone looking for the perfect mix of breathtaking mountain views and a classy space for entertaining. Saddleback Hall is a grand ballroom with beautiful drapery and soft lighting, making it a romantic setting for a reception. The event staff here is awesome and went out of their way to ensure our wedding was everything we’d dreamed. And everyone raved about the food! Veritas is just as lovely as many of the more expensive vineyard venues in the region.

My husband and I absolutely fell in love with Veritas the first time we visited. The property, tasting room, and ballroom are all stunningly gorgeous. We have received nothing but great comments from our guests on how beautiful everything was. Jill, the coordinator, was great as well! She was very flexible with how we wanted things to go and was so helpful with all of my questions. Our only complaint, and it is hard to complain at all, was that our food service was extremely late. Dinner was not served until after 9pm when it should have been plated by 8:30. This put a bit of a rush on our toasts, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss. We were disappointed with this as everything else was so great. Other than the late dinner service we were very happy with Veritas.

Chloe and the Veritas staff were fantastic. We could not have been more pleased, and I highly recommend them. Chloe was patient, thoughtful and genuinely invested in ensuring that we had the day of our dreams. I also really appreciated that she was responsive throughout the process (to both us and the other vendors).

It rained the day of the wedding (which was supposed to have been outside), and they were especially fantastic about executing the Plan B quickly and efficiently.

The only criticism I have is regarding the tasting process. Before we were married, Veritas held 3-4 tastings through the winter/srping where they featured 2-3 apps, salads, entrees. It made it really difficult to get an idea of what to pick b/c the tasting options were so limited. I think this may change in the future since it sounds like they have had a lot of the same feedback about this. The tasting itsself was also a bit rocky (the chef who had been there for many years had just departed) so we certainly had some contructive criticism for Chloe after the tasting. However, one of the things that impressed me most about Chloe was the fact that she took the time to acknowledge our feedback and help us get to a place where we felt good about the menu (talking with the chef about other options, etc.)

You cannot go wrong with Veritas!

You could not ask for a more beautiful venue. The presentation was stunning and wine & food are top notch.

Veritas is a special place to us and we feel so lucky that we got to have our wedding there in October 2023! On wedding day, guests were absolutely wowed with the scenery, service, wine and food. The food was better than restaurant quality--I kid you not! We served steak, gnocchi, and crabcake, along with many appetizers, signature cocktails, and late-night snacks. Guests raved about it all.

Veritas was very flexible with us throughout the planning process to ensure everything was what we imagined, including helping us plan an intimate ceremony for just 20 people and finding the perfect spot on the premises for the ceremony. I will note that there were several staff transitions during our 1-year planning process, so that made it a little difficult to get timely responses at some points, but everything came together smoothly and we are very grateful to the team at Veritas!

My wife and I (groom) got married on 9/15/23 at Veritas.

Pros: The food, wine, servers, bartenders were great. Guests were very impressed with the venue. They were understanding and did the best they could when it came to things that didn’t meet our expectations. Bridal suite is huge. Golf cart ride to the vines was a nice touch. Most vendors in the area are familiar with Veritas so it made working with our vendors easier. Our vendors that had not been to Veritas before didn’t have any issues either.
Cons: Our day of coordinator changed 3 times during the 16 months of planning so a lot was lost when switching planners. We constantly had to answer questions we already answered. One of the local craft IPA beers (Starr Hill Sonic Haze), they said they could source but then they didn’t try to source it until the day of so that was a day of surprise that could have been avoided. What bugged me the most was that they set expectations on smaller stuff they couldn’t deliver on which adds up. I wish they just told us no or suggested we get a wedding planner because we had too many details for just a day of coordinator to handle throughout the wedding day.

While I love Veritas and would not have held my wedding anywhere else, I can only rate the quality of service as mediocre. I caveat my review by stating if I had to do it all over again, I would probably still have my wedding at Veritas, I'd just use my lessons learned from working with their staff. The owners are nice enough and professional to work with, however you interface mostly with their event coordinator. Our coordinator was Chris, who while pleasant, can be frustrating to work with if you're as detailed oriented as I am.

When my husband and I arrived for our first meeting to review details, she had not entered our meeting on her calendar correctly. She was surprised by our arrival, but was willing to meet with us since the other couple, the one she accidentally scheduled for our time slot, was late.

Both my husband and I keep busy travel schedules due to work, so we scheduled our dinner tasting approximately 8 months in advance to ensure we could both attend. We also asked our parents to mark their calendars so they too could attend. About two weeks before the tasting, we received an email from Chris asking us to select a tasting date. I notified her that we selected our tasting date many months prior, to which she asked whether we could reschedule. When I explained to her that we could not, she indicated she would be on vacation and the owners had plans, but that someone would be able to meet with us. The owner, Patricia, did join us for approximately 45 minutes, but was obviously not pleased to be pulled away from her family event. We obviously did not enjoy being the cause of this scheduling conflict, but couldn't help it because of our own schedules. It just gave the event a sense of frustration it would not have had otherwise.

At our final meeting, Chris was more prepared and ready to note the details of our reception. However, by this point, we had opted to hire a wedding planner (Jennifer Carroll - AWESOME) to assist us and to ensure the reception flowed smoothly.

The actual event went very well. I think some guests did have slow dinner service, but overall feedback was good. Some of the service staff cleared tables too soon, thereby removing name cards guests had planned to save and wedding cake they planned to eat.

Our final disappointment was that a tablecloth that we rented from Festive Fare Rentals went missing. The vendor contacted us and we in return contacted Veritas. Veritas could not locate the tablecloth and has not taken action to reimburse us for the fee we incurred as a result of the missing tablecloth. It seemed logical to us that since the tablecloth was on their table when we left that it was their fault it was lost. At one point, Chris indicated she would reimburse us, but has not responded to emails or our phone calls since that time.

My overall opinion is, if you love the location and can afford the venue, you can and will have a beautiful wedding at Veritas. However, be prepared with all of your reception details (e.g., table layout, method for distinguishing between dinner selections, event timing) and confirm scheduled appointments at least a week in advance.
