Jordan worked with us on our vision of a separate tier rustic cake and was extremely helpful in providing us with a tasting prior to deciding on our cakes. She was responsive and professional over both email and the phone which was crucial for us. The actual cake itself was fantastic and we received great feedback from our guests. Visually, it was exactly what were were imagining. We additionally had tiramisu cups which were excellent. Highly recommend

Jordan ASSEMBLED our dream cake
The vision my husband and I had for our wedding cake was anything but regular. If I had to quote Jordan on her reaction to this cake proposal was “Well, this will be the most interesting I have ever made.” Trust us when we say that this cake was an absolute success and an immediate hit with our guests. Jordan expertly crafted the Avengers Tower flanked by The Hulk and Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty. This cake was all supported by the love of Sailor Moon and the other pretty guardians along with the vast galaxy facade.
We found the entire process super easy and fun. Jordan provided a cake tasting box to take home and enjoy in the comfort of our home. We’re a little partial, but check out the oreo filling and the red velvet cake flavors. We found this part of the cake process satisfying. Pure customization amongst so many options. Once my husband and I were done throwing all these nerdy ideas at Jordan, we felt Jordan rolled up her sleeves ready for this challenge. Her attention to detail was remarkable. Jordan and I spent a good deal of time discussing a mold for a crystal lotus flower. She absolutely nailed it. What can be made out of sugar, cake, and fondant is extraordinary. Jordan is not only an artist, but an engineer! My husband and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend working with Jordan at Velvet Sky Bakery for all your wedding cakes needs. We will be using Jordan in the future for birthdays and showers.

Dream Wedding Cake & Cupcakes
I highly recommend all your baked good needs for your wedding. I worked with Jordan in designing my husband's Star Wars cake while still looking like a wedding cake as our top tier. My husband and I got to pick cake flavors to try them at home together with their vegan and regular frostings. We were able to creating unique flavor combinations for our cupcakes in lieu of a multi-tiered wedding cake. We were also about to rent the cupcake tower from Velvet Sky. They delivered and set up the cake and cupcakes for us which made the day stress-free. Jordan was great to work with and good communication throughout the process. All my guests loved the vegan and regular cupcakes and they are all reasonably priced. Vegan cupcakes tastes as good as the regular ones that guests couldn't tell. I would highly recommend Velvet Sky for all baked needs not even for your wedding.

Delicious and beautiful cake!
A three-tier wedding cake from Velvet Sky Bakery was included in our wedding package through Kimpton Hotel Palomar, and I'm so glad that it was. Not only was our cake beautiful to look at, it was delicious - even family members who are not traditionally dessert-eaters loved this cake. We chose vanilla cake with raspberry filling for the bottom tier, chocolate cake with chocolate filling for the middle, and red velvet with cream cheese filling for the top, which we took home with us. We live in the UK, but held our wedding in Philadelphia, and Jordan was so accommodating, meeting with me via Zoom to plan out the design of the cake and organising a take-out box of cake samples so we could try flavours during a quick trip to the city last November. I sketched out a rough design of what we wanted, and the cake was an exact replica of my idea. We were blown away by the cake and can't thank Jordan and her team enough for baking our dream cake!

We love them!
Words cannot describe how happy we are with how things turned out for our special day. Jordan was perfect throughout the entire process! We provided her will details on exactly what we wanted and she executed it FLAWLESSLY. The cakes are beautiful, moist, and delicious. Jordan and her staff are all very friendly, and professional. They seem like a cornerstone of the community they are located in.

Beautiful and allergen-free wedding cake
I have lots of allergies (gluten, dairy, citrus, peanuts, etc) and I was assuming I wouldn't get to eat my own wedding cake. Luckily, I found Velvet Sky Bakery. I ordered a mini cupcake tower and a small wedding cake on top, which was gluten and dairy free, white frosted with gold flakes, spice cake. It was beautiful and SO DELICIOUS. I couldn't believe how good it was. After we cut the cake I ate two more slices right away. The service was great, too. They delivered to the venue on the day of the event and set up the cupcake tower for us. It was really special to be able to enjoy my own wedding cake. The BEST Cupcakes!
Velvet Sky made mini cupcakes for our wedding this past weekend and they were AMAZING. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how great all the different flavors were. Not only were the cupcakes (and a last second birthday cake!) delicious but Jordan is a breeze to work with. Would definitely recommend!

Choose Velvet Sky!
I found Velvet Sky completely by chance when I saw a cake they did on a friend’s Facebook page. We actually had them make two cakes for us; our wedding cake and a surprise groom’s cake in the shape of our bulldog, Karma. Jordan was immediately responsive to emails and calls, and so friendly in person. The cakes are delicious and she has a variety of filling flavors to fit whatever you’re looking for. I had shown her pictures of what I was looking for in the wedding cake, and sent pictures of our bulldog for her to copy... boy did she deliver! Our wedding cake looked exactly as I wanted it to, and it was worth every penny to see the shocked look on my husband’s face when he saw the bulldog cake for the first time! Since we didn’t have the heart to slice into it at the wedding, we brought it home to show to our dog, and that was an even funnier reaction. I had been slightly nervous about how it was going to come out since our dog has such a unique brindle coat, but Jordan’s artistic skills are amazing! Amazing Groom's Cake
AMAZING! Jordan is so accommodating, friendly and really brings an idea to life. I wanted something special as my husband's groom cake, which was our English bulldog. Jordan and her team made a lifelike English bulldog cake that was so beautiful and incredible. From the cake consultation to the cake delivery, working with Velvet Sky Bakery was seamless and I didn't need to worry about a thing regarding the cake. The cake was so delicious! DELICIOUS, beautiful cupcakes for our wedding!
First things first, our experience with Velvet Sky was a highlight of our wedding - the cupcakes were gorgeously arranged, absolutely delicious, and all our guests loved them! Our assumption was 'wedding cake is never that great', but I knew I could count on wedding cakes the guests would truly love.
I knew as soon as I started planning my wedding that I wanted to get a cake or cupcakes from Velvet Sky - I used to work near the bakery when it was a storefront, and Jordan's cupcakes have been the gold standard of cupcakes for me ever since! Her icing flavors are so delicious - the peanut butter is a personal favorite! - and are the perfect not-too-sweet, silky smooth buttercream. The cakes are so flavorful and moist.
We did an assortment of mini-cupcakes of 6 different flavors for our wedding (including a dozen gluten-free, which are also delicious!), plus a few small cakes with fruit filling. Jordan was very easy to work with, very professional and did a BEAUTIFUL job setting the cupcakes up, including little illustrated signs to explain the flavors. The small cakes were really tasty - I only tried the lemon filling, but it was very nice and lemony!
Our only complaint, if I could call it that, is that the assumption of 2 mini cupcakes per person proved to be a little low, as people were so eager to try them all that they took more than 2 and we ran out very quickly. I think if we'd had only 2 flavors this wouldn't have occurred, but if you go for multiple flavors, I'd count on more like 3 minis per person!

Amazing wedding cake!
This cake was one of the more expensive cakes we tasted in the planning process but was 100% worth the extra money! Jordan was great and she created a beautiful design for us. When the cake showed up it looked exactly like her design. As for the taste, I don’t normally like wedding cake but I loved this one. We ordered 3 different flavors and our guests raved about all 3 of them!

Velvet Sky made a cupcake tower with a suitcase & globe cake topper for me for a travel themed bridal shower this past weekend. It was a huge hit! Everyone, including the restaurant staff, was asking where I got it. They had never seen anything like it before. And in addition to being beautiful, the cupcakes were delicious too! Jordan could not have been more helpful designing exactly what I was looking for, and with more than a dozen cupcake flavors to pick from, it was hard to just pick a few. This bakery is a winner!

Our venue partners with Velvet Sky and so we were happy not to have to shop around much (although we did taste/consult with a couple others to be sure). Aside from our initial consultation, the bakery and venue coordinated flawlessly without our involvement.
While I know most guests don't eat or pay much attention to wedding cake, we were happy to verify that the cake was moist and the frosting well-balanced (not icky sweet!). Based on one or two example photos and our own description, the baker sketched exactly what we had in mind...and then executed it beautifully! Our cake was really beautiful and delicious. My husband was joking that we should eat the top layer immediately (but we'll see if we can wait until our first anniversary to devour it!).

Jordan and her team are absolutely amazing! We met them at an open house for our venue and my husband and I knew right away that we wanted to use them for our wedding. They made a small top layer for us to cut and then we did a cupcake tower. The cake was absolutely incredible and the cupcakes were devoured. Additionally we had velvet sky make cookies as our thank you gifts and they were just as delicious as everything else! Jordan was so easy to work with as well. We had a great experience and would highly recommend them!

We worked with Velvet Sky as part of our Hotel package. The hotel hosted a tasting for the cake flavors, which was lovely and super fun. As we were from out of town, all communication with the Bakery was by phone and email, however, Jordan captured exactly what we wanted - design, colors etc. and we could not have been happier with the cake. Jordan was easy and responsive to work with. She suggested ideas which we went with and on the day the cake was splendid.

We got a ceremonial cake from Velvet Sky and mmm mmmm mmmm it was good!!!! I sent them 2 pictures of what I we wanted for inspiration, had a quick phone call, didn't even do a tasting (we kind ran out of time - our fault), and they made our pokemon inspired cake dreams come true! I was worried because we needed to use a decent amount of fondant and I was warned by many that it isn't so tasty, but this one was delish! Our cake was a mix of white cake and red velvet, with an icing in between. So good!
We decided to chow down on our topper over the next week and love every minute. I was a struggle even to put a single piece away for out 1-yr.
Oh and the guests loved the look and taste too!

We had a cupcake tower with a small tiered cake on top. The cupcakes (and cake) were absolutely delicious and beautiful. The groom and his mother have celiac and so half of the cupcakes were gluten-free and they were just as delicious as the regular cupcakes. The combination of the cupcakes and an ice cream bar was a huge hit.

The owner/designer was very professional and friendly. Most of all, she was patient in helping us design the perfect cake for our wedding...which wasn't easy considering our tastes were so varied. I used Velvet Sky for my wedding cake and cake pops. Jordan created a cake pop holder that was exactly the look I wanted! She was so easy to work with and the look turned out beautiful. She coordinated the colors to my wedding colors and helped us pick out the perfect flavors. The cake/cake pops were delicious and beautiful! She also made separate cupcakes for my dad, who is gluten free, with no problem! I definitely will be using this bakery for any future cakes or desserts!
