  Amazing Wedding Band!

  We had such a blast with Velvet city Sound playing for our wedding! We had a live pianist play our ceremony, a DJ covered the cocktail hour, and a 4 piece band played our reception - all through VCS! Every musician was amazingly talented and as a group they served as fantastic emcees. My husband and I are musicians ourselves, so it was both important and meaningful to us that we had live music for our wedding. VCS drew our attention with all of the options and talent that they could provide and sold us on their huge array of songs that we could select from. There is truly something for everyone in their songlist and they still have flexibility to work on other songs for you should you want something specific for your ceremony, special dances, etc. An incredible example of that was my "walk down the aisle" song. My husband wrote a song for me when we first started dating and I dreamed of walking down the aisle to it. We reached out to our VCS manager with the idea and provided written chords/score and an audio recording. They agreed and spent the time learning the song on piano so that we could have this magical moment on our big day - it was AMAZING! Another magical moment occurred during our reception, when we'd prearranged for my husband to join the band for a song that he played with a restaurant band on one of our first dates. He borrowed one of their guitars and they gave him the main microphone to lead the song. It was so wonderfully HIM and it brought the house down! We can't thank VCS enough for letting us join them and add some special moments to their typical plan/setup. I also want to highlight their flexibility. Not only were they adaptive throughout the event as the schedule changed and they were forced to do some things on the fly, but they also made some major, spontaneous concessions that were unexpected. Unfortunately there was a power outage affecting our wedding venue on the weekend of our wedding. This meant that not only would our wedding now have to take place outside in the July heat, but there would be no power for speakers, keyboards, amps, or any electrical equipment the band would use. The band manager worked closely with my mom and our wedding coordinator to workshop new ideas to still pull off the music for our wedding and went to great lengths to acquire a generator (hours before our wedding!) so that we could still use all of the equipment. Fate would have it that the power came back a couple of hours before the wedding so we returned to our original plans, but VCS undoubtedly went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding happened no matter what! Our guests raved about how fun it was to dance all night long with a live band and they certainly kept our dance floor packed until closing time! I cannot recommend a live band enough, and if you are leaning that direction - Velvet City Sound is the way to go!

  Wedding planner approved band!!

  As a wedding planner, we have extremely high expectations, and Velvet City Sound far exceeded them! We worked our first wedding with them yesterday and couldn't wait to add them to our list of recommended vendors! They are communicative, flexible, team players, professional and extremely talented! Special shoutout to one of the lead vocalists, Sarah, who had the most amazing voice! All of the vendors and guests were raving about them the entire evening! We highly recommend them for your wedding or event and cannot wait to work with with them again soon!

  Best Decision Ever

  Velvet City Sound was one of the best wedding decisions we made! It was important to both of us to have a band at our wedding and VCS absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. They were so much fun and kept the party going the entire night. From the moment we booked with them the communication was easy and thorough. We were able to be as hands on or off with the set list as we wanted and they encouraged all our ideas from the start. So many of our guests have reached out to say how great VCS was and how they truly made the night. We cannot recommend VCS enough! They even let us sing Mr Brightside with them which was the icing on the cake!

  Wedding Review

  Velvet City Sound was awesome and had everyone on the dance floor all night! We have had so many people brag about how great the music was all day!! VCS provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! They read the crowd so well! We could not have asked for a better band!!

  The best!

  They played at our NYE wedding on 12/31/23 and just absolutely made the night! We had multiple people texting us the next day asking what their name was again because they loved them so much. If you are looking to get your crowd on the dance floor, Velvet City Sound is your band! They play everything from Yellowcard to Taylor Swift to Lynard Skynard - and everything in between! They are the BEST! Thank you for making our wedding SO MUCH FUN!!!

  VCS is an AWESOME event band!

  Nick Bryant was so great to work with. Work is the wrong word as he made this so easy for us. Our event was a wedding reception for our daughter. She's our only child so we've never planned an event like this before. I researched several bands and found VCS. Our event was on New Years Eve in Mobile, AL. VCS traveled to Mobile and had everything ready to go when we arrived at The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion for the reception. One of the classiest moments was walking in the cocktail hour and hearing the piano and saxophone playing for our guest as they entered the reception, ate and had a few warmup drinks. The reception then moved outside to where we had a tent and the full band playing. We went with the six-piece band. Saxophone and female vocal are definitely recommended for an add on. VCS kept the dance floor full the entire night. Many guests asked us who this band was and how we found them. VCS far exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend them for any event where you may need a band. Oh, and the night ended with a fantastic playing of Sweet Home Alabama. Thank you, Nick and VCS!

  Velvet City was amazing!!

  We were blown away with Velvet City at our daughter’s wedding. They were very accommodating during this joyous / stressful occasion and the music was amazing. We shared the song list with the types of music we would like to hear and they nailed it and were able to accommodate the different requests during the set. One of the guest said that they loved the music and kept waiting on a song that they could not play and it never came. Everyone commented on how great the band was and they really made the evening. I can’t say enough good things about Velvet City and how pleased we were with their performance. These guys did an amazing job and were extremely professional. Would not hesitate to use them again.

  Nick and the crew are amazing!! If you are in GA and trying to decide between bands, let me make it easier for you. These guys take care of EVERYTHING. You need something audio/visual related , they will figure it out without overcomplicating the pricing. Nick is the easiest person on this earth to work with, and he made us feel so comfortable and included in the entire planning process leading up to our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better band/people/crew. They were extremely professional, and trust me, they can bring the energy. The singers have fantastic voices and dance moves, and the band itself is phenomenal!! Don’t look any further, just hire these guys, they will NOT disappoint!! Huge thanks to VCS and to Nick for being all around amazing.

  Highly recommend!!

  I worked alongside Velvet City at one of my client's weddings and they truly were amazing. Nick was extremely responsive throughout the planning process! The day of the wedding, the band was on-time, setup quickly and worked with us to make sure the day ran smoothly from guest announcements to playing all of our client's must have songs.

  Nick's communication and contract were excellent, and I was impressed with Velvet City Sound's extensive set list. Our family includes musicians, both amateur and professional, so we had especially high standards. We stalked their instragram and Facebook to get a good sense of their style— and when we heard the variety of songs they played (and played well), we were sold! I think it was Mr. Brightside and Fall Out Boy that really did it for me, which they ended our night with! Nick, the manager is so easy to work with throughout, and Mike, the lead singer was so easy going with us brides, but brought the energy the whole time! We had so many guests come up to us and say how awesome the band was, that it was the best band they’ve heard at a wedding, etc! They communicate well, will let you customize and learn songs for you, show up early to set up, work hard to make sure nothing goes wrong, and sound awesome!! Everything you want in a wedding band!!! And if you’re Jewish, they play a great long Hora!

  Incredible, excellent

  Couldn't be happier with VCS and couldn't recommend them enough! Nick was able to learn our first dance song and executed flawlessly. They listened to our notes and created the most perfect playlist for our guests. There wasn't a minute where majority of the guests weren't on the dance floor- no bad songs!! I'll be sure to book them next time I need a band :)

  Incredible experience with Velvet City Sound

  Velvet City Sound was incredible. The band played at my wife and I's wedding reception and they was awesome. They rocked out and sounded amazing. We were going for a country/rock feel and they truly amazed us. Way better than we could have ever imagined for our reception. Highly recommend if you're looking for a band who will deliver excellent music that best fits you and your music styles.

  Velvet City Sound were INCREDIBLE!! A MUST hire for your event if you want the entertainment and music to be perfect! They provided services for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and not a detail was missed throughout! Nick and his team were so accommodating, getting to know us as a couple and making sure every song was what we wanted. The good energy was non-stop at our wedding and that's all thanks to the amazing work Velvet City Sound curated and executed to perfection. It was such a pleasure working with Nick and his team, I would recommend 100000%!!!

  Amazing musicians!

  We hired a guitar duo/vocals from VCS to play our ceremony and cocktail hour. The entire process from start to finish was so easy and smooth. We got to request the songs we wanted to play down the aisle and they played our favorites during cocktail hour. Guests had nothing but good things to say about the music! Would recommend to anyone :)

  Five stars all around for VCS! They did a FANTASTIC job at our wedding. My husband is such a picky person when it comes to music and playlists and he was satisfied and super impressed! I wished the reception had gone on longer for them to sing more songs. They were that good and everyone wanted to dance all night long! They were easy to work with and very flexible on your wants and needs. I wanted my cousin (he is a musician and only 17) to play with them during the ceremony and they worked directly with him and turned my vision into reality. They let you decide how involved you want to be with creating the playlists and songs to sing. I HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them in the future if we have anything that requires a band or even a small event (like a shower or bday party). They play and sing better than the bands out there who charge you double. VCS pricing is very reasonable, even with travel. They are professional and fun and just genuinely good people. If you are deciding between bands, go ahead and sign with them. You will NOT be disappointed.

  I know where you are right now. I was there like 8 or 9 months ago. Such a huge decision right? I mean you want people to have fun, you want to have fun, you want great memories, yeah, its huge. But, you can stop worrying and stressing about this decision because somehow you have discovered literally one of the best wedding bands imaginable. Jenny and I were the last of our friends to get married. We have been to a butt load of weddings together. Massive weddings that cost over 100K and small ones with a piano in the corner. We have seen it all. And it was out wedding so I know we are a little biased, but our party was by far the best. There wasn't a guest with a voice at the end because we all danced and sang our freakin asses off for like 3 hours. Im telling you, this is the band you want. Nick will have several 1 on 1 conversations with you to make sure they are aligned with exactly what you want. They are so experienced in the wedding game its insane. Their talent is actually off the charts, from the guitar solos, saxophone, and keys all the way to their incredibly talented vocalists, they are dripping with talent. I assure you, if you hire them you will not be disappointed and I will go one step further, they will rock your damn face off and your reception will be talked about for weeks like ours still is. Thank you VCS for helping and being one of the main reasons our wedding day was the best day of our lives!

  Wonderful band - nobody left the dance floor

  Velvet City Sound is the right choice for your wedding hands down. So wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding - responsive and collaborative, Mike made the planning so easy and fun. They did a beautiful job with our ceremony music ... but the reception.. WOW. I've always dreamed of having one of those wedding dance floors that nobody leaves the entire night... and that's exactly what happened. Everyone kept talking about them for weeks after the wedding. I also loved how well they learned our first dance song - it was better than the original. THANK YOU Mike and VCS for giving us memories that will last a lifetime

  Once we spoke with Nick over the phone we knew we were making the right choice! He promised and boy did they deliver! They learned our first dance song, handled ceremony, basically everything. Our guests kept asking us who the band was and where did you find them. Needless to say, the band exceeded our expectations (and we are very picky)! Thank you for helping us and keeping our friends and family dancing all night long! We hope some of our friends book you for their wedding so we can see you play again ha!
