We hired Velvet City Sound for our September wedding in Piedmont Park. From the jump, VCS was super responsive and helpful, answering any questions we had.
We had the 4 piece band and added on a female vocalist for our reception. We also added on a pianist from the band for our ceremony and dj services for cocktail hour and dinner. We rented a black and white dance floor from VCS which was so fun to have and beautiful in photos! My wedding planner even commented that she hadn’t seen a dance floor rental that nice and clean.
The music throughout the entire wedding was perfect and exactly what we wanted! VCS did an amazing job of feeling out our guests vibes and making sure the party kept going. They played all of our must-have songs and the other songs they added in went perfectly with our wedding. Everyone had SO MUCH FUN!!! Our guests cannot stop raving about how much they loved VCS, and everyone had an incredible time at our reception. We’ve had so many comments about how fun our wedding was. Velvet City Sound played for my daughter's ceremony and reception, and when I say "they killed it"..... I MEAN "THEY KILLED IT"!!!! I planned my daughter's wedding in 3 weeks, and Nick went above and beyond to ensure the music was perfect! I cannot begin to thank VCS for the incredible night. We had an awesome time with Velvet City Sound playing at our wedding! They were great from the start and really made the day special. They played all our favorite songs, and everyone was dancing the whole night! They even let me get on stage and play a song with them. If you’re looking for a band to make your wedding unforgettable, I highly recommend these guys. Five stars without a doubt! -

We had a great time working with Velvet City Sound for our wedding. They have an INCREDIBLE list of songs/artists to choose from, and let you be as hands on or hands off as you'd like leading up to the event. They really know how to get/keep people dancing and having fun. They are open to learning new songs, which we asked them to do for our first dance song. I would highly recommend VCS for weddings and other events. -

Nick absolutely killed it and really blew us away. We got so many compliments from our guests and the venue staff about how amazing they sounded. VCS is an absolute MUST BOOK. We had them come up to Knoxville for our wedding and the entire process was seamless. Nick was extremely personable and catered to all of our needs. Their process is so thorough and they will make sure they are playing what you are looking for. I searched high and low for a wedding band that could play the music we were looking for. VCS' range is WILD. They can play anything from Grateful Dead to Shania Twain. We are so appreciative of Nick and VCS, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing without them.

VCS MADE OUR NIGHT SO FUN!! From the initial contact with Nick, VCS was always easy to get in touch with, great communication, and a wonderful performance on our wedding day. They listened to all of the details that we wanted to bring to life through the planning process. We could not be more grateful. Nick was so easy to work with before hand and throughout the evening. The band never stopped playing! They covered all genres and kept everyone on the dance floor. Could not have been happier with our choice! Highly recommend. They truly are undiscovered gems!Velvet City Sound's reply:

Velvet City Sound was one of the best wedding decisions we made! It was important to both of us to have a band at our wedding and VCS absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. They were so much fun and kept the party going the entire night. From the moment we booked with them the communication was easy and thorough. We were able to be as hands on or off with the set list as we wanted and they encouraged all our ideas from the start. So many of our guests have reached out to say how great VCS was and how they truly made the night. We cannot recommend VCS enough! They even let us sing Mr Brightside with them which was the icing on the cake!Velvet City Sound's reply:

Velvet City Sound was awesome and had everyone on the dance floor all night! We have had so many people brag about how great the music was all day!! As a wedding planner, we have extremely high expectations, and Velvet City Sound far exceeded them! We worked our first wedding with them yesterday and couldn't wait to add them to our list of recommended vendors! They are communicative, flexible, team players, professional and extremely talented! Special shoutout to one of the lead vocalists, Sarah, who had the most amazing voice! All of the vendors and guests were raving about them the entire evening! They played at our NYE wedding on 12/31/23 and just absolutely made the night! We had multiple people texting us the next day asking what their name was again because they loved them so much. If you are looking to get your crowd on the dance floor, Velvet City Sound is your band! They play everything from Yellowcard to Taylor Swift to Lynard Skynard - and everything in between! We were blown away with Velvet City at our daughter’s wedding. They were very accommodating during this joyous / stressful occasion and the music was amazing. We shared the song list with the types of music we would like to hear and they nailed it and were able to accommodate the different requests during the set. One of the guest said that they loved the music and kept waiting on a song that they could not play and it never came. Everyone commented on how great the band was and they really made the evening. I can’t say enough good things about Velvet City and how pleased we were with their performance. These guys did an amazing job and were extremely professional. Would not hesitate to use them again.
