  Wedding Reception

  Velvet Bay was, first and foremost, an amazing act from start to finish. Their considerable level of talent across the board allowed them to play a wide range of music without diminishing an ounce in quality. This was especially apparent when seamlessly transitioning between genres - something that can be jarring if not done well. Multiple pulled me aside during and after the wedding reception to complement the band’s performance. Beyond sheer musical ability, the band and their manager were extremely easy to communicate with, accommodating of requests, and, overall, easy to work with. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Do yourself a favor and book them if you have the opportunity!

  Book velvet bay, you won't regret it!

  Our dance floor was packed the whole night and our guests had a BLAST! Their set list was unique, fun, and the perfect mix of songs that had all our guests on the dance floor. We got so many compliments. Bryson & Dan were so easy to work with. I cannot recommend them enough - thank you for making our night so fun!

  Wedding Planners review of Velvet Bay!

  As a wedding planner in the Charleston area, I can say that Velvet Bay is one of the best bands I have worked with. We worked together to bring a beautiful day to life at the Gibbes Museum. It was horrible weather the day of the event and we came together to make it work. Leading up to the event the band was great at answering questions and communication as a whole. They were very flexible, professional and ready to work on the day of. As a planner I hight suggest them due to their easy to work with nature and some of the best live music I have heard at a wedding.
  I will continue to use them in the future!

  Amazing! 10/10

  My husband and I searched for bands on our own and we listened to a few youtube videos and we were sold. Velvet Bay Groove is FANTASTIC and I mean the best, EVER. I wanted everyone dancing and having a great time and they most certainly delivered. Do not hesitate to book them, you will not regret it!

  Thank you Velvet Bay Groove Co!!!

  WOW!!!! Our wedding guests are still talking about how INCREDIBLE our band was and how it was the best wedding they have even been to! Dan, Bryan, and the team are wonderful with communication and sound like talented professionals. They played a fun variety of tunes, including some special requests of ours that weren't on their set list. I wish I got a raw recording of our first dance because they truly knocked it out of the park. All we can say is THANK YOU and you will not regret having this energetic, fun, professional, and groovy band perform at your event!!

  Awesome band!

  Highly recommend if you are looking for a band for your wedding!! My husband and I received compliments the entire night about Velvet Bay, and we continue to get them even after the event. They are excellent, and play an extensive list of music that will get every guest on the dance floor at some point in the night. If you’re looking for a fun night, then you should hire Velvet Bay!!

  Velvet Bay was amazing! Such a great band!

  Velvet Bay was beyond phenomenal. From the email communication to their performance, everything was top of the line high quality. People are still talking about how great the band was and how they couldn’t leave the dance floor. Velvet Bay helped create my perfect wedding night. Everything was beautiful and the music made the party! I can’t recommend them enough, Velvet Bay was outstanding! Bryson made planning the event so streamlined and checked in on the planning process. They even sent a Happy Wedding Week email that was so thoughtful. They really made my night and i’m still obsessing over how amazing they are!

  Best Wedding Band Ever

  Stop what you're doing and hire this band! Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they also know how to put on a show. We had so many guests say "that was the most fun wedding I've ever been to!" Bryson was so easy and fun to work with. They allowed us to give detailed input on what songs we did/did not want played and came up with the most perfect playlist for us and our guests. We danced to a Leon Bridges song for our first dance and they totally nailed it. We are already talking about how we want to throw a party and have them play again!

  the BEST wedding band

  Our wedding was so much fun thanks to Velvet Bay! All of our guests were raving about them and didn't stop dancing the entire night. They are incredibly talented with so much energy. Bryson, the band manager, was great to work with and very accommodating. We had pretty specific song requests that we wanted included in the set list and Bryson made sure to fit all of those in. We could not have asked for a better band for our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding band!

  Best Party/Wedding Reception Ever!

  Velvet Bay was AMAZING! They learned our first dance (Missing Piece by Vance Joy) and totally came through on our wish for a big party! The dance floor was rockin' the whole night! They played all genre's we asked for, which was a lot and all over the music map, and they did not miss a beat! We added the horns for our reception and the band seriously nailed it! And as a bonus, they were super easy to work with. We received lots of compliments on how fun the reception was and how great our band (Velvet Bay) was! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a GREAT time for you and your guests!

  Amazing band

  Wow...just wow! Velvet Bay Groove was absolutely outstanding!! Our guests did not leave the dance floor ONCE! If you are considering booking a band for your wedding look for further! Bryson's voice is AMAZING! Every member of the band was so incredibly talented and seriously made our wedding perfect!
