Best Band Ever!

My venue had given us a list of preferred vendors, and Velocity's management company (ACA Entertainment) was on the list. They gave me a few band options, and from the brief snippet I read and the 3 minute video I saw about Velocity, I just felt like they would be a perfect fit for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, ACA was incredibly easy to work with - they were incredibly responsive, answering my many questions, and quick to offer me options and resolve any issues I may have had. On the wedding day, Jason (band leader of Velocity) was amazing - the set-up of the band was perfect, and he also helped with a mic and speaker for the ceremony and music for the cocktail hour/beginning of the reception! But once the band started playing during the reception - I cannot tell you how absolutely blown away I was (as well as all of our guests!). Velocity is truly the most talented band I've ever seen perform at a wedding - each band member was so incredibly talented and shined in their own ways throughout each set. They all absolutely brought the energy and played off of what our guests were loving. They also took a request of ours and them playing that song became one of our wedding highlights. Since the wedding, SO many of our guests have commented on how amazing Velocity was at the wedding. I really couldn't have asked for a better band to perform at our wedding, and will be singing their praises forever!

Kept people on the floor the whole time

Velocity were absolutely perfect. They played the room expertly and had folks on the dance floor from the first song until they wrapped up after 11pm. Absolutely killed everything from swing to rock to power ballads. Only thing I could have wished for was that the played boring songs during their breaks so I could have sat down and let my feet recover

Awesome Wedding Reception Band!

I hired the band, Velocity, for my daughter's wedding held at The Pfister. We wanted a band that could play funk, current, rock and roll, country and some oldies. They did just that and more! Velocity had the dance floor jammed packed all night and our guests had a blast. I upgraded to the "Ultimate Bundle Package" which provided lots of extras including cocktail hour music, an Emcee to announce the wedding party, toasts, and background music during the seated dinner. You get what you pay for, and Velocity is very affordable and worth every penny for a fun and memorable occasion.

Always so much fun!

This is the forth wedding we’ve been to with Velocity and we had to book them for our own!

They all are so talented and very upbeat! Always can keep the dance floor going! Thank you guys so much again! It was perfect!

Great band!

Our only disappointment was when we had to pack it in for the night. We weren't ready for it to end. Thanks for making the dreams of our special occasion a reality!

Great! Did not disappoint

Booked Velocity when we were at a wedding last June that we were at. My daughter got married on September 12th, 2020 and the dance floor was packed ALL night. They are an AMAZING band. You won't be disappointed and they are so much fun......!!!! BEST BAND OUT THERE!!!

Easily the best money we spent on our wedding

Booking Velocity was easily the best money we spent on our wedding. They were very professional in their communications with us before the wedding and answered all of our questions. They even learned three new songs for us! We had a single musician for our ceremony, who played guitar, a trio for cocktail hour, and a 7-piece band with two singers (one male, one female) for our reception. The band was incredibly high energy, had a huge depth and breadth of musical choices, and required almost no direction from us to know what our guests would like to dance to. Having a male and female singer gave them a huge number of songs in their range and both of them are phenomenal singers. The band created a sound that absolutely filled the venue and made everyone feel like dancing! The dance floor was still completely full at midnight when we had to shut it down for the night, so we considered it a wild success! We would recommend them completely to any couple looking for live music at their wedding - worth every cent!

Best wedding band around

These guys are pros. Brought the house down. Very accommodating and everyone raves about them- we still get compliments on having a stellar band 6 months later.

Velocity was more than a perfect band for our wedding ceremony and reception! They knew how to get the dance floor moving and the dancing did not stop all night with our over 250 guests! The ceremony songs were beautiful and they worked with us (mainly me due to a case of bridezilla) to ensure our ceremony and reception would be exactly as we hoped for. Our venue for our ceremony and reception was Turner Hall and Velocity was the perfect fit for it. To top how awesome this band is I requested a last minute song "Scenes from an italian restaurant" as a surprise to my husband - this song is over 10 minutes long and they had never played it before but Matt said "we will try and learn it for you!" and learn it they did! They killed it! We see them at Summer Fest every year as well!

Perfect band for any wedding

They are amazing! Played at our wedding and were just awesome. People were dancing non stop and they were so friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

ridiculously good

Our wedding was great and all, pretty dress, beautiful decor, all that stuff, but I don't think anyone in attendance remembers ANYTHING except for the band. Seriously, my husband's godmother had to be physically removed from the venue by her husband because they needed to leave and she couldn't stop rocking out. My little nephew was so inspired that he actually thought he invented the air guitar. Velocity kept the evening flowing, kept the energy pumping, and could not possibly have been more fun. The planning leading up to the event was professional and easy as well. My husband and I are seriously considering getting a divorce just so we can have another wedding with this band.

The entire experience of working with Velocity was wonderful from beginning to end. Booking was easy, and the planning leading up to the wedding was a breeze. Working with Matt really put my mind at ease. We exchanged several emails and then met in person a few weeks before to go through all the details and itinerary. On the day of the event, they were nothing short of incredible. They set up, played a flawless set, and kept the dance floor packed all night. The set was absolutely perfect. We loved every second, and our guests continue to rave about the band and vocalists, months after the wedding. Seriously guys, Velocity is great, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

Velocity was amazing! We had a full dance floor from when the band went on at 0730 to when they ended at midnight. We also added the DJ service which was incredibly helpful, kept us from having to worry about who was going to take care of music during the breaks and what we were going to play, would absolutely recommend. I would 100% recommend Velocity to anyone looking for a fantastic variety band for their event.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Outstanding band. My guests danced all night and were begging for “one more song”. The dance floor was literally always full. We received so many compliments on Velocity. We also got awesome uplighting and instrumentals for during dinner. Worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Velocity exceeded my wildest expectations. Really great musicians that impressed all of our guests. A great value, I didn't think we'd be able to afford such a large (and talented) band for so little.

If you are looking for a band that will get a crowd dancing and is very talented, I would strongly recommend Velocity. Velocity was nothing short of amazing! The dance floor was occupied at all times and people are still calling us asking "What was the name of your wedding band again?". We have gotten so many compliments on the band!

Being the Bride I was worried that I wouldn't get to fully enjoy the dancing part of the night, since I would be busy talking to everyone, however, Velocity had enough people on the dance floor that I could make my rounds and chat and dance at the same time. I literally danced the sole right off of one of my shoes that night.

The music was absolutely incredible. It was everything we imagined/wanted and more for our wedding. We had so much fun and would definitely hire them again. I cannot say enough about Velocity, they will not disappoint!

We hired Velocity for our wedding last weekend at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Matt Anton was responsive and helpful throughout our interactions, and he provided good suggestions and honest answers. For the ceremony, we had saxophone, piano, and guitar and chose four songs to be spread out for the processional. I can't tell you how perfect there arrangements sounded. The saxophone as the lead was soulful and gorgeous on Etta James's "Sunday Kind of Love," Otis Redding's "That's How Strong My Love Is," Sam Cooke's "Nothing Can Change This Love," and the Beatles's "Something." It was exactly as I dreamed it would be, if not better. They nailed it.

For the reception, we had an eleven piece band complete with horns. The musicians were incredibly tight, fed off the crowd, read the crowd well, and each musician had shining moments throughout the evening. We had four singers, and all were phenomenal. The band delivered a raucous version of the Hora and got the entire room on their feet. Other highlights included "Into the Mystic," "Tennessee Whiskey," "Don't Stop Believing," "American Girl," "Sweet Child of Mine," and "Shout." Matt made sure to play our chosen entrance song and first dance songs, and he was concise and helpful in his announcements. I had many many friends and family members come up to me to praise the band. One friend had been to 66 weddings in the past five years, across the country, and said this was the best wedding band he'd ever seen.

Hats off to you all -- we are recommending you to anyone who will listen.

THANK YOU SO MUCH -- you helped make our wedding into (what our friends are calling) the wedding of the decade.

If you have one thing that will make or break your wedding it is the music selection and you CAN NOT go wrong with booking Velocity for your wedding band. They were the absolute greatest from start to finish. Very prompt with communication and they offer the whole package at a very competitive and reasonably priced rate. We booked them off of previous reviews from wedding websites and boy did it pay off ten fold. The dance floor was PACKED from start to finish even with an open bar far from the dance floor. Our wedding night was the most magical evening and we received an uncountable number of comments about how fabulous and on point our band was! So if you are looking for an awesome, energetic, fun band - don't look any further Velocity is the right choice!

Velocity was our wedding band and they were truly incredible! Our guests never left the dance floor and we received so many compliments! They absolutely perfected our night! We also had a jazz trio for dinner service and I loved them so much- it was the most surreal backdrop to the evening. I cannot say enough good things about this band and company!

We absolutely loved Velocity!! The dance floor was packed the entire time! We couldn't be more impressed with the professionalism and quality of this group. Highly recommend for any party! They learned a song for our first dance and nailed it :) can't wait to throw another huge party just to have them perform again.

These guys are UNBELIEVABLE. I was so nervous as I wasn't able to see them perform but they absolutely exceeded my high expectation. Seriously, that is all anyone is talking about from our wedding-the band! From the moment they walked on stage, people filled the dance floor and they didn't leave until the very last song. They covered songs I never thought they would be able to, and were so flexible and accommodating with my less than traditional scheduled. We decided to book them for an extra hour and I wish I would've booked them 3 more. None of the cliche wedding music from these guys. Thanks Velocity for making my wedding band dreams come true!

We learned about Velocity through a friend of ours, and boy are we ever grateful. A live band was high on our wish list if we could find room in the budget, and we were elated at how competitively Velocity is priced. The maxim is you get what you pay for, but Velocity bucks the trend: They are a top-quality band available for a very reasonable price by Chicago wedding standards. And I mean top-quality! We thought maybe we'd bit off a little more than our venue could chew with a seven-member band, but Velocity made due with the tight squeeze they were given and never complained. They set up without a hitch while the upright bassist and keyboardist provided the perfect background jazz accompaniment to our cocktail our for a modest extra fee. Using their PA system for speeches was easy, and the band crafted a fantastic playlist right in line with our preferences (which they surveyed beforehand). My wife and I both love to dance, and some of our best memories from our wedding are of the band absolutely rocking the night away. They were a huge hit among our family and friends. Having two singers really expands their repertoire, and the multitude of instruments gives them such a full, diverse sound. Wedding bands can be hit or miss, but we hit a home run with these guys and couldn't recommend them more highly.

Velocity played at our wedding reception. They were absolutely amazing! I loved every second and everyone couldn't stop talking about how great they were for days after the wedding! They had all the wedding guests dancing on the floor all night! There was never a time when the dance floor wasn't full! We had the best time and would highly recommend Velocity!

We were so thrilled with Velocity and would book them again in a heartbeat. They really added that extra special something to our wedding reception, and the dance floor was full all night. We could not believe how great the band sounded, and they even learned our first dance song the week of the wedding. The song was not in their current repertoire and we did not expect them to do that, as in my opinion it was not a very easy song to learn and perform. They not only learned it, but crushed it! We had multiple guests comment on the quality of the band and how much fun they were. They were a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process as well. Matt at ACA Entertainment was extremely responsive to any questions we had and even worked out an arrangement with us to help us get a microphone set up at our venue for the ceremony. Again, we would recommend working with Matt and Velocity to anyone. Your wedding will be taken to a whole new level!

Velocity was the hit of our wedding. They played such a great variety of danceable music that they appealed to every age group. Plus, they played the music well - they are a very talented group of musicians. Lastly, they were very accommodating with respect to logistics as well as song requests. They even learned a new song for our first dance! A+, can't wait for our next big event, so I can have Velocity back again.

Without exaggerating, this is the best wedding band I have heard. They are extremely professional, flexible, and absolute first-class musicians. The most impressive thing was their versatility. (Country, Swing, Pop, "Oldies," Rock, everything!) They had the place rocking from the first song all the way until the end of the night. Not to mention, they come at a very reasonable cost! If you can swing it, try and go for the 9 piece, it's worth it. If you can't, they are still great!

Velocity was great! People were raving about them all night and continue to do so. The pianist braved the heat and was able to play all songs we requested for the ceremony and played them perfectly. The 8-piece band for the reception could not have been better! We had a very large list of recommended songs, most of which they played. We've been to plenty of weddings where guests hang out at the bar or their tables all night, but ours never left the dance floor! The variety and genres of songs were exactly what we had asked for! Not only were they outstanding the day of, but they were extremely professional and enjoyable to work with the weeks and months leading up to the wedding. They responded promptly to emails and phone calls and made this part of the wedding planning stress-free. My wife and I and our families highly recommend Velocity for your wedding - or any other event for that matter!

Velocity was the best decision we made for our wedding! They put on the BEST show ever! We are still getting compliments on the band, a few weeks after our wedding. They kept people on the dance floor the whole night, and adapted to what everyone wanted to hear. They exceeded our expectations, by far. I want to relive the night again just to hear them play. Look no further if you want a quality, professional and unbelievably talented group to perform! Thank you, Velocity, for the best night ever!

Everyone said this was the best wedding band they'd ever heard! They played all our favorite songs and kept our guests on the dance floor all night :) They were also very flexible and professional throughout the booking and on the big day. They are a bit pricey but it was worth every penny. I would highly recommend them to any Milwaukee-area bride!

Velocity was amazing! My husband and I had them for our wedding last week (Sept 2015). They were so great! Booking them was easy, their management responded to all my emails within 24 hrs (usually less than 2-3!!) We received so many compliments! The dance floor was packed all night everyone from the flower girls to the wedding party to the grandparents had a great time on the dance floor! The MC for the grand march was great, helpful for speeches, etc. They even learned a new song at the last minute for my father/daughter dance and it sounded like they had been playing it for years! I loved having male and female vocalists, they can really play anything from Motown to Journey to Frank Sinatra to modern stuff like Katy perry and Bruno Mars! We loved the 7 pieces, the horns just make it so much more fun! Thanks velocity for making our day great!

I cannot stress how important music is to the wedding day. While we didn't use Velocity's services for the ceremony, they were there for our entire reception to help MC us and use mics through dinner, despite our contract not asking for the band for another hour later!

If you are looking to have people on the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning, I cannot recommend Velocity enough. We added on the additional horn players and they all sounded incredible. Jesse and Sharon can cover an outrageous range of styles of music and put their own flair into it as well.

I am continuing to get feedback as to awesome they were from our guests including comments like:
"Sometimes I had to look over to see if it wasn't a recording - they sounded so good!"
"I've never danced at a wedding before but these guys were just too good not to dance to."
And many others that said that our wedding had the best music they had ever been to.

We are so glad that Velocity was able to play - hopefully they're still around when we celebrate our 25th and 50th!

We first heard Velocity Jazz at the MillerCoors release party for Batch 19 in the Third Ward. We had such a great night. We followed up with them on Facebook to get in touch, and booked them for our wedding reception about ten months out. They jammed all through dinner, played a spontaneous accompaniment when my husband decided he was singing "Blue Moon" to me in front of all of our guests, and were a bunch of great guys ! They were so wonderful and we got so many compliments on how awesome they were all night. Definitely a night to remember and we would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a great time!

This group was super polite, entertaining, and professional. They sounded great all night, stayed a few extra minutes for our last song, and were very complimentary toward my bride and me. They even played some background music while I sang a song (I was totally off key; not their fault), but it was still a blast. We also saw them play for an event before we booked them, and they were fantastic there as well. I would recommend them for any wedding or gathering! Thanks very much, guys!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They are not only true professionals (I never felt worried about them or how our guests would react to them) they are also amazing performers. They are unique without being overly obscure that people wouldn't have a good time. People danced from 8-12. It seemed like the dance floor was always close to full. They are great and I would hire them again.... even though I don't plan on having another wedding. :)

Matt/ACA was amazing to work with! Friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond! Matt helped guide us through what needed to be done, and when. He asked all the questions he needed to understand what we were looking for. He provided a list of songs the band played, we provided our likes/dislikes, and on the wedding day the set lists were perfect!

It was a huge help they were able to set up early for a minimal fee. The lead the day of was great to work with our Wedding Planer to make everything run smooth!

The band was fun, played all the songs we wanted and had the crowd up and dancing all night! My husband surprised me with our first dance song, and the band learned it for him within a few weeks of the wedding and performed it well!

One of the most important things to us was the music - people always remember dancing and having a good time, and Velocity helped us make those memories for our guests.

I FIRST SAW VELOCITY AT THE AMERICAN CLUB AT KOHLER WISCONSIN FOR NEW YEAR'S. THIS BAND WAS SO ENTERTAINING FOR DANCERS AND LISTENERS AS WELL. THEY PERFORMED EVERY SONG BETTER THAN ANY BAND I HAVE EVER WITNESSED.

We couldnt be happier with the level of service & entertainment provided by ACA Entertainment & the Velocity Band. Music was provided during the ceremony, a string duet which performed beautifully. Followed by a jazz trio at cocktail hour, great atmosphere music and concluding with dinner & dancing during the reception.

The music featured awesome throwbacks & todays hits and I can honestly say our dance floor was packed all night. I booked this band before I even booked my wedding date because I loved the way they sounded on all their demos & videos on their website... and they are even better in person.

We received so many compliments and I cant stop rewinding our wedding tape to watch everyone dancing & having fun!

Three words: VELOCITY IS AMAZING!!! I checked out A LOT of bands for my recent WI wedding, including lots of Chicago-based bands, but no band came close to Velocity in terms of quality, professionalism and price. Matt Anton was very easy to work in terms of planning for the night's music and lighting, as well as very thorough with all the details for the night. The band has a lot of great video clips on their website and youtube, and they sound 10x better in person. They also offer uplighting for the venue, which changed colors throughout the night and added a lot to the look of the space. In terms of pricing, the professionally managed band has great packages to choose from for a variety of budgets.

Most importantly, Velocity's performance at our wedding was beyond awesome! Our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT, and everyone is still raving about how great the band was, how amazing the singers were, and overall how fun the music was.

I can't recommend Velocity enough!!

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of band for our wedding. Velocity was great! They kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night--even when the air conditioning broke at our venue. They played a variety of songs from oldies to today. We couldn't have been happier.

Velocity did an amazing job with our wedding! They kept the crowd on the dance floor the whole night long, and were able to play a wide variety of music from oldies to top 40. We wanted something a bit different for our wedding where we had dancing in between the dinner courses, and they were willing to work with us to get our desired timeline for the reception. They also helped everything run smoothly for the wedding by announcing the bridal party and the various toasts. I would recommend Velocity to anyone planning a wedding.

Fantastic Wedding Band Experience

Velocity did a wonderful job at our wedding. They had everyone on the dance floor the entire night and we're just wonderful. Did a great job keeping on schedule and handling the speeches as well. Would definitely recommend if you want everyone to love the music!

The band was wonderful! There was a lot of dancing to a great selection of music. They were in touch with us the week before the wedding to go over our selections and were very easy to work with. They are an awesome band!

We hired Velocity for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! The band was so fun during the entire reception and thankfully they were able to get and keep everyone dancing the entire time! I contacted this band on three separate occasions over the course of nearly a month and received absolutely no communication whatsoever. It is possible that they are no longer active as a band. If they are still active, it seems pretty unprofessional to not even respond to three inquiries.
