There are so many good things I could say about Vell’s! They are a team of incredibly friendly and passionate people! The food is awesome! The venue is beautiful! The pricing is great! And they are very flexible with whatever dream you have for your wedding! Dee is great at communicating and responds quickly. She makes truly the best wedding cake I’ve ever had and she’s just so great to talk to! They have many options for the food and you can tell they take time to make sure everything is done perfectly. Wedding 5/16/2026 - The Shymske's!
My husband and I had our wedding reception on 5/16/2026 at Vell’s Event Center and we are beyond thankful that we went with them. We would choose them over and over again!!!! Dee and Vell are incredibly kind people, and they know how to smoothly put on a wedding – it was truly the best day ever! Dee and Vell go above and beyond!!!!! I can’t express enough how much they truly care about their guests. Unfortunately, you do not see this too much anymore, as a lot of times you are just another wedding. This is absolutely not the case here, and we could sense that from the start. They treat you like you are family here!
From the start when we reached out, Dee called us back within minutes and we set up a time to meet that week. She took time to walk us through the process, look at the venue, and answered all our questions we had. I tend to get stressed easily, but working with Dee made the wedding planning easy. There was no need for a wedding planner or day of coordinator. Anytime I had a question, she responded back immediately. She also gave us recommendations to other vendors in the area, and they all worked so well together as a team!
The food was very delicious. We had many of our guests come up to us afterwards and say that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The staff works very hard to make everything come out perfect. Dee also accommodated for our guests that had dietary restrictions, which they greatly appreciated the thoughtfulness and time to do that. Dee also makes wedding cakes, which was so nice to have one less thing we needed to worry about. Our cake was beautiful and very tasty!
Dee is very attentive to detail and made sure everything was ready to go. They set up a lot of our decorations prior to the event and cleaned up everything afterwards – which we so much appreciated! The whole staff was friendly, and we all had a great time. It was all about the positive energy, and we had so many guests come up to us afterwards and say it was one of the top weddings they have been to. It is so nice to hear that, and we could not have done it without Dee, Vell, and the rest of the staff. Rob and I are forever thankful for them, and we will continue to brag about how awesome they are! If we could give over a 5 star we would!

Amazing Experience at Vell's Event Center
I would highly recommend Vell’s for a wedding reception! I worked personally with Dee for months to achieve the best day of my life. Her customer service is phenomenal. She is easy to reach for questions, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. The food is 10/10 and you also get a wonderful tasting experience! A huge number of my guests raved about the food. The desserts were also diverse and delicious. Dee’s husband was incredibly helpful with keeping the evening on track and answering questions related to bartending. They are an excellent pair. The venue is classy inside and out.
I have gorgeous gazebo photos which added to my wedding day substantially also. Dee was kind enough to accommodate us there as well. Overall the best venue experience I could have asked for and I highly recommend to all future brides!

Amazingly memorable. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a luncheon at Vell’s with 155 guests. We enjoyed it immensely and every one of our guests said they enjoyed the delicious food, warm atmosphere and beautiful facilities.
It was a great event, Dee and Vell are wonderful to work with and the food was so delicious. The staff was kind and attentive and everyone was comfortable and made to feel welcome.

Perfect wedding day
Outstanding. I’ve never received so many compliments on food in my life. The venue was BEAUTIFULLY decorated. They help with the timeline, the food, vendor recommendations, and allow you to provide your own alcohol to be served at the bar which saved so much money!!!!!!! I couldn’t recommend any where else. I decided to have my wedding in Cleveland specifically because Vell’s had the best deal I could find for an all inclusive wedding reception. Several guests told me this was the best wedding of the year!!!!!!

Classic Wedding Venue
We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. It is the perfect place if you're looking for a classic wedding setting! The outdoor ceremony setting is a beautiful scene for any outdoor wedding. We had the most beautiful day even for mid October.
Dee is amazing and very easy to get a hold of! She will answer any questions that you have and support the bride and groom throughout the entire process. Her and her husband genuinely care for the people they host and they go above and beyond for a smooth event. Dee made a cake for our guests so that we could have a private cake to cut and she saved the look of it when it smashed against the box on the way over the night before! They make all the food in house and two months later our guests are still raving about our good our food was! You won't regret booking this venue. I'd do it all over again.

Best Wedding Ever
My husband and I were married 11/18/23 and we chose Vell’s in Medina by word of mouth, had heard wonderful things about their service. We opted for them to cater and do our wedding cake as well; the buffet was so delicious, homecooked cabbage rolls and chicken paprikash and a huge side of beef plus sides. They even boxed up the leftovers at no extra cost.
Dee, the coordinator is so easy to work with; flexible, communicative and warmly professional. Her husband Vell offered us a warm welcome the moment we met with him. Staff were great and I heard no complaints on our special day!
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue than Vell’s to celebrate with our friends and family.

Vell’s was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were there every step of the way for everything I needed. Dee specifically was very attentive and responsive. The food was incredible and was the best food I’ve ever had at a venue for any wedding. They also made mine and my husband’s cake which was delicious. During the reception when we were unable to eat as many people were approaching us to talk, Dee offered to warm up our food and get us drinks. It was very thoughtful and meant a lot. Overall they were the best choice we could’ve made for a venue!

The place to say I Do!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here at Vell’s Event Center and are so beyond thankful for having found this special gem located in Medina! There are so many details to consider when planning for your wedding day. This venue provided all of what we were looking for- from decorating the hall with their linens and multiple color options, center pieces, and even the option to have our wedding cake done there; and it was beautifully decorated and equally delicious! This allievated having to go through so many other venues for services.
Dee was incredibly kind, attentive, listened to what the bride and groom cared about in how they wanted their special day, helpful in answering questions, quick to respond, and beyond accomadating; including making a special meal for guest(s) with specific allergies at no extra charge.
I can share from experience that Dee and her team truly care to want to help make your event as special and less stressful as it can be so you can just be present on the day of! They go the extra miles and what makes them stand out is that they do it with joy. Working with them had made our wedding celebration very enjoyable and memorable! You’ll want to give them a call and check it out for yourself if you’re looking to find a venue for your wedding!

A dream come true
If you are looking for an amazing all in one venue, it’s here! Dee was very helpful and straight forward with our planning process from start to finish. She was extremely patient with us and super supportive with giving us advice. She literally walked us through everything. The hall was absolutely beautiful and I didn’t have to buy additional decor. The outside was gorgeous for the ceremony and to take pictures! There was a huge amount of parking available for our guest. All of our guest raved about the food which was delicious and homemade. Vells truly cares about their customers and picking this venue was the least stressful piece of planning a wedding. I ordered the cake through them as well and it was very affordable and elegant. There was barely anything left from the desert table they made. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and fast. We were asked many times throughout the night if we needed anything, which was awesome. I highly recommend Vells to anyone and would come back in the future for other events. We truly enjoyed our experience and wouldn’t have changed a thing about our day. It was literally a dream! Thank you vells for all of your hard work celebrating our next chapter!

The venue gazebo was beautiful for the ceremony. The reception hall was exquisite with the lighting, backdrops and table setting. All the guests were impressed with the delicious meal. The staff was very responsive to keep to our schedule. The contact person Dee was very helpful and provided various options and was receptive to our decisions, no pushy sales pitch. We found the value was well within our budget and results were beyond our expectations. We would greatly recommend this location.

My wife and I got married on 10/29/22, looking back we could not be happier with our experience with Vell's. Compared to our other options for venues, we felt it was a great value for what was offered. The experience with Vell's leading up the wedding was easy and one of the least stressful wedding planning activities. Dee was always available and responded quick to answer questions. Finally on the day of, they worked great with our Photographers, videographers and DJ to make sure everything went smooth and to plan. Plus, they allowed us to take pictures at their Gazebo which is stunning. The food was great! We had the Chicken Paprikash and Shaved Beef, we heard many times how good the food was from our guests. Vell's also made the cake for us and it looked amazing! Overall, I was very pleased with our reception and happy that we made the choice to have it at Vell's.

Vell's was absolutely wonderful every step of the way! We had our wedding reception 8/13/22 and were made to feel like a priority from day one. This is a family run business and the attention to detail shows. When we first met with them, we were given a very upfront cost analysis that included costs of extra staff (like police officer, bartenders), gratuity, and the cost of extra options. Dee and Vell were always so friendly and helpful, as we worked through making decisions on decorating the hall, decisions on food, as well as cake! They even made suggestions of where to buy our alcohol and find our DJ. Our food was absolutely delicious (and homemade), and we had Dee make our cake which was absolutely phenomenal!! We had guests raving all night (and even following the party) about how wonderful of an experience they were having, and as the bride and groom we had an absolutely amazing evening as well! We would absolutely hire them again and strongly recommend you meet with them!

This magic moment!!!!
My wedding was 09/03/22 and I am so happy I chose Vell’s event Center to host my wedding. The property and venue is well kept and absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing went out of their way to make me feel special on that big day. Dee has been my saving grace since I placed the deposit. She is very efficient, responses fast and has great input. Dee… thank you so much for everything! The day was so perfect, no problems and it wouldn't have been possible with out you!
Now…. The food! Our menu consisted of the bone in chicken, pork chops and baked breaded fish… the food was fabulous and the baked fish was the talk of the reception and even the next day at brunch. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart…. My wedding day was magical!

Dee and her husband were so professional and helpful. Dee was so helpful with suggestion. So warm and friendly. Attention to details. The Gazebo was perfect for the ceremony...beautiful ! The room for the reception was the perfect size and atmosphere. The bride and groom table was beautifully set. The food was delicious and beautifully set up....plenty for seconds. Dee is quite the cake decorator....gorgeous. Our guest were very complimentary . The staff was very attentive. I highly recommend Vells Event Center. All inclusive!

Amazing venue!
From the beginning to the end Dee and her staff made sure that the wedding was outstanding. The food was amazing and everyone at the wedding over and over again kept saying how much they loved the venue! Dee is a great communicator and answered all of our questions immediately when asked. She gave great suggestions for purchasing me alcohol for the wedding. Overall we were very very very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Absolutely AMAZING!
I cannot say enough about this venue! They went above and beyond to make sure our reception was perfect, and it was! The food, the cake, the staff, decor, EVERYTHING was fantastic. They are a dream to work with! I have gotten so many compliments! The best decision my husband and I made was to book Vell’s Event Center for our unforgettable day, and it was just that!

Totally worth it!
They were very responsive when I needed answers last year for a venue. Price was amazing. Food and cake were amazing all homemade!!! And they made our special day just that ! Special!! So many compliments on the whole day! Definitely book with them you won’t be sorry !!!

AMAZING Vells Party Center
Vells has given us the best wedding I could ever have asked for. It is a second generation family owned business which really shows through how flexible, passionate, and caring they were towards us. They postponed our wedding (covid) with no penalty or questions asked. The highlight of my night was how delicious the food was and how much of it we had, my guests are still raving about best wedding food they have ever had. Dee, one of the owners, not only helped me coordinate my reception, but she also baked the most incredible cake, and was always there to answer my unending phone calls and text messages throughout the entire process. The venue was beautiful, and the dance floor was huge. I am so incredibly thankful to have chosen Vells, a family owned business, and I would recommend them to absolutely everybody!!

Amazing venue
Vell’s is simply the best! Great food, beautiful halls, and the most amazing staff. I got everything i needed and more for my wedding. Dee went above and beyond as i had rescheduled due to pandemic. She was so professional and always answered my texts. She made the process easy. This is a must do venue!

Amazing wedding venue!
This was a great venue for our wedding! Dee and Vell were very nice and very helpful throughout the planning process. We used the gazebo outside for our ceremony and it was beautiful. We used the gala hall for the reception and it was very spacious and beautiful as well. The food and the cake were amazing and our guests had a great time. They also had great recommendations for other vendors.

Vell’s was one of the first places we looked at and after talking with Dee, she just made us feel so welcomed the moment we walked in the doors. We knew our special day would be held at their Event Center. Due to COVID we ran into a small hiccup and had to move the wedding from December to April, I called Dee crying and she helped me get everything switched to the new date and assured me everything was going to be okay. The day came and I couldn’t believe how everything came together. The food was so delicious. Our cake was exactly as I pictured it. Her staff was so polite and friendly with everyone. I think I even spotted them dancing with us later. If anyone comes to me for wedding planning opinions I’ll be sending them to Vell’s Event Center. They had the food, dessert, cake, and linens. I brought my own center pieces and decorations which she allowed me to decorate the venue with. It was perfect.

Best Reception I Could've Asked For
My Husband and I celebrated our reception here and it was amazing. Dee and Vell were wonderful to work with. The food was delicious and the venue was beautiful. We were a little nervous about continuing our plan to have our reception during the recent pandemic, but they were very accommodating and very conscientious about following the state guidelines by giving us the larger hall making sure our guest were safely spaced and had their staff efficiently removing glassware and dishes from the tables. Everyone who attended was very impressed with the way Vell's Party Center handled the special circumstances of Covid-19. They also raved about the bone in breaded chicken, chicken paprikash and wedding cake. Dee and her staff did an amazing job. On top of the great food and service, they didn’t charge an arm & a leg. Vell's Party Center is an all inclusive venue offering several options for linens, chair covers, runners, glassware, food and cake. They even have centerpieces if you want (we did not need this option). Their all inclusive options saved us a lot of time, money and stress. We would highly recommend Vell's and will be using them again for our other special events. Thank you Dee and Vell, you guys are an asset to Medina and we appreciate your professionalism but family atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

Vell's made our wedding day the best!! All I really wanted was a cake with a fountain and Dee went above and beyond to give me the cake of my dreams!! Everything ran smoothly and the place was beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better team to work with they did an AMAZING job even with COVID 19!!

I truly can not put into words just how amazing Vell’s was. Dee And Vell were incredibly kind during the entire process of planning our wedding, answering any and all questions so quickly and making sure our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. The Venue is clean , beautiful and very reasonably priced. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of thanks to Vell’s. They helped in anyway they were able to, the reception was so well organized. All staff members were so kind. I can not say enough good things about this venue and staff. Our food was also AMAZING. Every guest has commented on how good it was and what a great time we all had. Thank you to Vell’s for making our wedding day nothing short of amazing. 5 stars is not enough!!!

COVID-19 Wedding Reception - Amazing because of Venue
We had a small wedding ceremony in Savannah, GA and decided to have our wedding reception a few months later in Ohio due to the lockdowns. Since the moment we contacted Vell's through the days after our event, this venue did everything they possibly could to accommodate us. They worked with us on dates, they gave us so many menu options, they kept us up-to-date of all the restrictions going on in the state (we were planning from states away.) We changed a few things on them and they could not have been nicer about it. The food was amazing and the venue was beautiful. All our guests had everything they needed and everything went off without a hitch. Not only was it an amazing and beautiful event but it was also very affordable. We told them our budget and guest list and they gave us an option that worked for us. Also, everything was super clean and we have had no problems with the virus since our event. Can not recommend this place enough. Talk to Dee. She will make the wedding reception of your dreams come true!

Great venue
This place is amazing. The food was great! The venue was very clean. Dee made our cake. It looked great and tasted even better. Anytime I had any questions, they were very responsive. The best part about Dee and Vell is that you can tell this is a family run business. They make everything feel comfortable. Many other places we went to, was just another business. With all the COVID restrictions, they made extra accommodations to make us, and our guests, feel safe and at ease while also having an amazing wedding.

I couldn't have picked a better place to have my Wedding!! I was married outside at Vells where they keep there gazebo area well kept and filled with flowers. It was perfect. The reception was amazing. The place was decorated so elegant, and my wedding cake, made by Dee was perfection. The details on it was amazing and the cakes all tastes so nice and moist. The food was absolutely incredible. You must get the chicken paprikash. It's to die for!!! Previous to my special day it was so easy to talk with them at vells whenever I needed to ask a question. With any event you should choose Vells. They really make it all complete.

Vell’s party center was exactly what we were looking for. Vell and Dee made us feel welcomed from the start and we ended up renting the Gala Hall that holds >275 guests. The hall is elegant, spacious and had great lighting. They also supply a lot of the bits and pieces that are needed during your wedding reception… which helped A LOT!!! I didn’t have to deal with a bunch of different vendors to find tables, chairs, plates, glasses etc. b/c they did it all). We wanted to make sure that everyone was together at the reception and not far away that you felt “separated” and not a part of the party. There was just enough room between the tables and the DJ… making it not seem like you were right on top of each other. This family business is someone that you can trust completely. They were professional, accommodating, organized, knowledgeable and was able to offer us their experiences from past weddings. You can tell they have been doing this business for years. The food was phenomenal! My husband and I both kept receiving compliments from our guests’ weeks after the wedding! From start to finish, my husband and I were both satisfied. We couldn’t have been more excited that Vell’s Party Center also offered an ice cream bar. It was a HIT! Vell’s was a perfect combination of what we needed. We will be recommending Vell’s Party Center to those we know who is planning a wedding! Wonderful job and thanks again!!!

I had an amazing experience at Vell's Party Center!
We planned our wedding in 3 short months. From the beginning to the end Dee and her husband were awesome! The pricing is unbeatable for everything included. The reviews about their food are not kidding.. it is great! We also had Dee make our cake and it was great! Dee was very helpful and easy to reach. The rest of the staff was awesome! If I could do my wedding all over again I would still use Vell's!

Outstanding venue!
My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Vell's a little over a month ago. Everything went absolutely perfect! First and foremost, Vell and Dee were amazing. Right before our big day I met with all of the vendors to make sure everything was set. The photographer and DJ team I hired, had me very stressed out and when I met with Vell and Dee they completely put my mind at ease about everything.
All of our guests were raving over the food. We opted to have an ice cream bar and one of our topping requests was crunch coat. Vell decided that he could make the topping himself and it would taste better and boy was he right. It really touched our hearts that he would go out of his way to make that special for us. When we went home after our reception, all we could talk about was how awesome Vell, Dee and their staff handled everything.
I just can't say enough how perfect they made our wedding day. I highly recommend Vell's Party Center!

We had a great experience with Vell's, and everything was beautiful! They really helped make the venue/food portion of the wedding such a breeze! They were very prepared and good with our crazy last minute changes! Vell even upgraded our centerpieces at no cost to us and changed the tables around so we could fit more people with less space. The food tasted AMAZING, as well, and our guests kept raving about it! It was awesome that we got to take the food home with us too! We highly recommend Vell's Party Center for any occasion!

Vell's team is great. They have been hosting events and wedding receptions for at least two generations now and their staff know exactly what to do. The family operation really gives you a feeling of trust from your first meeting to the actual day. Enough cannot be said for Dee and Vell's touch when working with them to create your perfect day from table runners to the cake. Dee is a brilliant cake maker. The FOOD alone would be enough to convince most people to use their services again. Every guest has raved about the food and we do too, but even further than that like every big event there were hiccups. Someone got sick, food and drink were spilled and at every turn their team had it gone like magic. They also really set you up with great vendors for items like beer and DJs. We loved our reception and you will too at Vell's Party Center.

Vell's Party Center was a hit for our wedding! Every single person we talked to after the reception said, "the food was amazing!" When we ask people if they had a great time, they say, "the food was so good!" Some even compared it to other locations and share that they were impressed Vell's had a buffet that had exceptional fresh food where other facilities have dried food under a heat lamp. Another guest said he went to a baby shower a week later and someone asked him how he liked the prime rib. The guest said, "this prime rib is nothing compared to the amazing prime rib we had last weekend at a wedding at Vell's." Many guest also went up for seconds and appreciated that being an option.
We also considered not having a cake but after sitting down with Vell and Dee, they reviewed exactly what we needed for our budget. I'm so glad we went with one because so many guest also commented on how great it tasted. We had a few pieces left over the next day and I'll admit, I was guilty of eating it for breakfast since it was SO good. :)
We met with Vell and Dee almost a year before our wedding and they did a great job of making the planning process stress free. Vell did an amazing job reviewing the menu with us and helped us pick the best food for our budget.
I also had a bit of a hiccup with our florist (lack of my communication) and Dee and the florist arranged everything for me to make sure the flowers were in place for the reception. Above and beyond service, very personable staff and so much fun making great memories of our big day at Vells!

Vell and Dee were absolutely fantastic to work with. We were married on September 9th, 2017, had our ceremony in the Gazebo and reception in Wilshire Hall. Everything turned out perfect. The gazebo and hall were beautifully decorated by Vell and Dee. The food was delicious and the cake was just beautiful. Vell and Dee provided us with excellent communication and service from start to finish and we never worried about anything for the wedding day. Thank you Vell and Dee for being so calm, cool and accommodating to all we needed for our special day!

Everyone of my sisters and myself have had receptions here along with many other family and friends. We've also held special events here multiple times. There's no better place in the greater Medina area when it comes to value and professionalism. Between the staff and the food the only way you leave unhappy is if you took it upon yourself to be miserable.

We had our wedding reception their recently in the Gala Hall. It was beautiful, clean and the food was delicious! Our cake was amazing too! Prices are fair and lowest around! Great service and friendly staff!

We couldn't have picked a better location for the reception. Vell was great he made the whole process go so smoothly, he is very detailed and direct so you know exactly what needs done and how everything will go, that made things a lot easier for us during the planning process. Vells wife Dee was amazing and so responsive to every question I had along the way, she helped with everything I needed going above and beyond to help. The two of them were amazing they made our special day even better with each little thing they did and the great care they took to make sure it was everything we wanted.
The cost of the venue was unmatched by any in the area, I was provided with a sheet at the first meeting that broke down all charges and what the final cost would be and it was exactly as they said. Every package option had a sheet that clearly explained what was included and what extra options I had and their cost I loved that part because I could clearly see what everything would be, none of the other venues could provide us with anything like that when asked.
The staff was amazing so friendly and sweet they were prompt with service even with nearly 200 guest you never waited for drinks, plates were cleared quickly and all done with a smile .
The food was incredible they provide so many sides and main dish options and everything was so good. Our guests were raving about the food and pastries (pastries were included in the package at no extra cost). At the end of the day they packed up all the leftover food and sent it home with us, not many places do that. Outstanding service thank you so much for everything Vell and Dee and the rest of the staff.

Vells was great. From the ceremony at the gazebo to the reception in the Solitaire Hall, everything was perfect. They paid attention to all the little details. The food was amazing and all our guests commented the same. Dee did a wonderful job with our wedding cake too. They worked with us every step of the way and were extremely responsive and helpful with all questions we had. I highly recommend them!

I am so grateful we chose Vell's as our reception venue. We had very many specific things we wanted to keep our cultural norms or whatever you may call them. Anyways, they worked with us so well. They made the dream come true! The hall is dark, but I like to see it as very romantic. There were ambient lights all around (sconces and the backdrop) which made the hall feel spacious but comfortable at the same time. Their food was amazing. Dee and Vell were wonderful in the stressful process of wedding planning. And they worked so hard to make everything absolutely perfect for us- set everything up in advance (like 5 days before or more!!) So we could see how the hall looked beforehand. They also set up a beautiful backdrop with tulle and lights. It was spectacular- couldn't have picked a more perfect place for our wedding!

We had our wedding reception at Vell's almost 6 years ago and people still talk about how good the food was!
The value we received was outstanding, and everyone we've recommended them to who have had their reception there hav had positive experiences as well.
Each time we've been back, Vell has recognized my husband and I and knows us by name. We always look forward to the next opportunity to come back!

We loved Vells! We rented the gorgeous Gala hall, and had plenty of guests! Decorations and lighting looked amazing with much help. Table settings were fresh and perfectly placed! We also did an icecream bar and everything was catered! We still receive nothing but compliments on the excellent and tentative staff, friendly bartenders, clean and safe environment, and of course the delicious food! Chicken paperkosh and homemade pastries per table were a huge hit!! The price for service the best around! We had one amazing wedding day! We still recommend Vells party center to all of our family and friends!! :)

When my husband and I first got engaged, the first thing we knew for sure was where we were going to have our wedding reception. After having a wonderful experience at Vells for my older brothers reception a couple years before, we decided this was the place we wanted to have ours at too!! We had our reception in the Gala Hall, which is the largest Hall. Vells has 3 hall sizes to offer. The Gala Hall is beautiful; the lighting, the way it's set up, it's simply perfect. The food, the realistic price, and the classiness & quality of service at the venue is just top of the line. I swear it's a little hidden gem that people just drive by and don't notice. The exterior signage of the building could probably use a facelift and update but that is such a minuscule thing that does not matter and did not matter to us. What did matter is the food! THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Its all homemade! I can't tell you how many compliments we got from friends and family about the quality and taste of the food. Simply delicious! Especially for the prices I feel that weddings are now a days, making sure the food is of good quality was important to us, as we didn't want to overpay somewhere for poor food and leave our guests hungry & dissatisfied. Everyone we worked with at Vells was so kind and helpful. One thing that really stood out to us was their willingness to be flexible. Vells made our wedding day soooo so simple and easy. (Which every bride wants!) Our cake was perfect and tasted great! (Even a year later ;) ) I have suggested Vells to everyone I know who is getting married and so far one of my close friends had her wedding there and my other friend is getting married there this May! Hearing their stories of how much they love Vells is just a true testament to how wonderful of a place it is!!! I wish we could get married all over again and celebrate at Vells Party Center. Thank you Vells!! You will always be a big part of our most favorite memory! ??

For 2 years in a row, we have used Vell's for a fairly large fundraiser, and we will definitely be back for a 3rd year next January! Dee & Vell are so helpful throughout the planning process, and their flexibility helps make our event such a success. The food and service is top notch, and the Grand Ballroom is gorgeous! I highly recommend Vell's for your event!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Vell's Party Center, and it was absolutely the best experience! The family is very open and friendly, and they truly care about making your day YOUR day! Vell had so many contacts that he's personally worked with that make booking outside vendors very easy and fluid. And from my experience with telling vendors the location, their responses for working with him have all been very positive. The outside venue is stunning, and the Wilshire Hall was perfect. The food is great, all homemade with local produce. They were also very accomodating and provided special food requests for people with eating restrictions, which I found to be the most special detail. Vell's wife made the most fantastic cake, and it was a little outside the normal request. We loved it so much that we decided to immortalize it with an ornament to remember how great it looked! And all throughout the evening, the entire staff was attentive and smiling and very friendly. The whole atmosphere was that of a family, and I would recommend anyone and everyone to go here for whatever event they need! Seriously! Thank you all so much, I could not have asked for a more perfect day!

I have recently retired from playing in an all occasion band for almost 35 years. I have been in a multitude of wedding/ banquet halls over the years and have seen the good and the bad relating to food, professionalism of running the business and decor of these wedding/banquet halls. My daughter got married on October 15, 2016 and we booked her reception on a recommendation by a friend at Vell's Party Center. I cannot say enough about Vell, his wife and staff to make my daughter's reception a huge success. I didn't have to worry about any details as Vell took care of everything so my family and I could enjoy our reception. The food and bakery were fantastic, and there was such a variety and quantity of foods, you couldn't eat everything! I will highly recommend Vell's Party Center. You will not be disappointed!!!

Vell's wife made our wedding cake and did an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL job!!! They had a lot of colors available for table linens. Food was very good and we got many compliments from our guests about the food. Vell and his wife were very helpful during the entire planning process and always available to answer our questions. Prices very very reasonable compared to surrounding venues. I highly recommend using Vell's for your special day!!

We had the reception for 4 of our children when their big day arrived. Each one was a wonderful, care free experience and sytill fit within our budget. They were very easy to work with and allowed us to bring in our own alcohol and beer and wine which is hufge in this day and age. As far as the food goes we had a different menu over the years but I can only say that the guests still talk about the food and our first daughter got married 18 years ago. I would highly recommend Vell's to anyone looking for a great place to have a wedding. The food was astounding.

Vell's was attentive to detail and made the process less stressful. They have three banquet halls with different entrances, thus, you will never run into another bride. They had handicapped amenities, which was very important to me because of my grandmother. The food, which is a huge reason for choosing the venue, is excellent, and i received compliments on it for months! Also a must if you have live music. They accommodated a band and DJ for us in the Whilshire Hall.

We had our wedding at Vell's Gala Hall on October 4th, and everything was AMAZING!!!! From all the meetings leading up to our wedding to the day of our wedding everything was GREAT! Vell and staff were all very professional, and cared about our needs! They decoreated the hall beautifully as well! The food was EXCELLENT and the cake we had mad was even better we are still getting compliments from our guests on how delicious everything was!!! I would recommend Vell's to anyone!

As DJ and Photo Booth providers, NIGHT RHYTHM ENTERTAINMENT found this place to be outstanding!!! The food was beyond compare and the selection of food far exceeded what I have personally seen in my 14 years of doing weddings. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and value of service; Vell's is definitely top of the list. Vell Jr., is a very professional businessman who provides a very clean and beautiful facility which allows you to enjoy your parties and receptions without the interactions of other parties. His wife was very helpful and welcoming to all people. The gazebo is a very beautiful setting with the lawn and landscape being very well-kept. We had our ceremony and reception at Vells and I cannot think of a single negative comment. They made the process very simple, from menu choices to advice, everything was wonderful. We had so many compliments on our food, the stuffed cabbage was a huge hit! Of course they charged extra for special linens and glasses, all hall do this. It was much less then had we provided those from an outside vendor. The Gala Hall was beautiful. The lighting was lovely, the dinner was served very quickly, the dance floor was large enough to have all 270 guests on it at one time. Vells made our wedding a huge success!

Vell’s was amazing. From our first visit to the end of the wedding they were outstanding. We had our ceremony at the beautiful gazebo. The landscaping and condition of the facility is great. Our reception originally was going to be in one of the smaller halls, but with an increased list of invites we upgraded to the Gala hall. The Gala hall is gorgeous; it has a higher ceiling, great lighting, and very nice oak trim. It also hosts a separate bar area and stage for your entertainment. The room was also large enough for us to comfortably add a candy bar, and a photo booth. The whole room and gazebo was a hit, the guests were amazed.
The quality of the food can leave you speechless. They have so many great menu selections to choose from and not one of them will leave you dissatisfied. They also offer to make your wedding cake, and they also did well here too. A variety of flavors and fillings, paired up with the ability to decorate to your liking. They also provided an outstanding display of cheeses, crackers, and fruits for cocktail hour. After dinner the pastries they provide to the tables are tasty. So much good food throughout that your guests will rave about.
I cannot say enough about Vell Jr. himself, and his wonderful wife who were so helpful in everything we went through to make this day complete. They offered suggestions that made the day go smooth. He had great referrals for vendors that were also top notch. They were accommodating to myself and my bride to ensure that this was an event and experience that went smooth without any hookups or drama, so we can enjoy our day. I would recommend Vells to anyone looking for a ceremony and or reception hall for their wedding. Thanks Vells

Vell's Party Center has a variety of hall sizes to choose from, although my wedding was in the Gala Hall, which is their biggest. The facilities are gorgeous, the food is excellent (all homemade) and the price for what you get is outstanding compared to other comparable venues in the Cleveland area. If I could do my wedding all over again, I would book with Vell's in a heartbeat. You WILL NOT be disappointed with this facility for your wedding reception!

The hall was beautiful! They provided decorations and if you wanted you could add more. The food was amazing, we did not hear one compliant about the food from any of our guests. Everyone enjoyed it and told me how beautiful my wedding was. They also have a wonderful gazebo to get married at!

Best Friend’s Wedding was a hit!!
All I wanted for my oldest friends wedding was a beautiful day—and Vell’s delivered!! We were given ample time to set up the reception hall on Friday AND Saturday afternoon, Dee offered experienced suggestions to make things run smoothly and really amp up the hall, the food was great, huge dance floor space, and lots of parking for guests! We really had an enchanted evening and lots of support from Vell’s!

Great Wedding Hall! Highly Recommend!
The Gala Hall at the Vell’s Party Center was very beautiful, elegant, spacious and clean place. I was a picky and nervous bride, but when my husband and I walked into our reception hall the day before the wedding, we were mesmerized with the set up and every little detail. There was not a single thing that was lingering in the back of my mind or I was regretting about. Both Vell and Dobrila were very helpful. Every time we asked, Dobrila was open to meet with us and was very patient when I would change my mind 3 times on the color of sashes, chair covers and napkins. Dobrila had also worked directly with our other vendors which made the whole experience much smoother and easier. Food was also very good, especially the Chicken Kiev. A lot of our guests passed on their compliments on it as well. We highly recommend Vell’s Party Center. Vell and Dobrila definitely made our wedding day special.

I loved having my wedding at Vell's Party Center. Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice. I never felt uneasy or stressed about anything to due with my reception. The space was beautiful, my cake was beautiful and delicious. The food is homemade and it's fantastic. The value for what you get at Vells compared to any other venue in the area is by far the best. Highly recommended!

Great value - we booked in the Fall of 2014 and locked in our prices for our wedding in 2016! The food was delicious and we got a buffet with so many entrees, salads, and options for guests!
Definitely would recommend Vell's Party Center to future couples!

Excellent variety of menu choices. Delicious home made foods, salads and desserts. Fair prices. Very flexible with what we desired in a cake, they created beautifully. Was pretty disappointed about things like water glasses and particular napkin colors costing extra. Overall, a good experience.

I had my wedding there in The largest hall. It was beautiful, the food was amazing and they let me have 6 different napkin colors (which doesn't seem like a big deal but to me it was).
There were some things that were left to be desired though. Instead of carrying plates to the back or off to the side to clean the table the bussers brought out the cart and would take up the whole aisle while my husband and I and my wedding party were being introduced. We had to constantly squeeze by them for about 45-60 minutes (we had to go back and forth for visiting, cake cutting, etc). Make sure that guests put ALL cards and gifts on the gift table. 2 guests left their card on the table with money in it while the table was being bussed and it turned up missing. Not sure what happened to it... but they were pretty torn up about it.
Then after we cut the cake it took them another 45 minuets before they cut and served it. My mom and my husband had to go back there to ask them (if you don't get the cake through them it's $80 cake cutting fee but they did an AWESOME job on my cake) to cut it b/c the guests were asking about it.
At the end of the night we were trying to clean up (vell really does not want anything left over night but we had to due to lack of space in vehicles and they finally let us after we begged) But the cop on duty (not that you will have him) was an absolute jerk and and my mom and sister almost in tears. HE kept telling us to clear out hurry up you need to do this or that faster... we had the hall rented till 11 and he started harping at 10:40 when we were trying to clean everything up. I could understand if we were inebriated and were not doing what we were suppose to be but REALLY!
Make sure you ask about everything because they do nickle and dime you. Nice water goblets are $1 a person there free ones are a tacky 70's brown or you can go with plastic. Also you are not allowed a cookie table... you have to go with their appetizers. Just stupid thing you need to watch for.
