Where do I begin? Kristen and her team at Veils & Tails are superb beyond measure. I will cherish the photos she took at our wedding for my whole life, and I am extremely pleased with how the entire process went! Kristen took our engagement photos and worked with my very specific and tight schedule to work with flexibility in her own schedule. She was SO fun and made the sometimes awkward photo-taking process a breeze. She's the kindest, sweetest soul and we had a fun time talking about music and doggos. I want to be her friend -- she's just that kind of instantly warm and bright person! She really captured the essence of my wild and boisterous family at the reception! I can't thank Kristen and her second shooter enough for their time. People I don't even know are messaging me saying how beautiful our photos are (one was even featured in the Santa Barbara Independent!) HIRE HER! -

Amazing wedding photographer in SB!
We hired Kristen a month ago for our small wedding ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. We are both so pleased with the experience and the photos! Kristen managed to capture beautiful late afternoon lighting, she knew some of the most picturesque backdrops at the courthouse, and she got great shots of our pup who we included in our ceremony! Our wedding photo gallery is a wonderful mix of candid and posed photos, as well as detail photos (the flowers photographed beautifully against the architecture of the courthouse!).
Not only did she deliver amazing pictures, we also genuinely enjoyed working with Kristen. She is very responsive - from pre-planning stages through post-event follow up. She is professional, friendly, and GREAT with dogs (she was able to get wonderful photos of all FOUR of the dogs at our ceremony, not as easy task!). You can tell that she takes the time to deliver high quality photos to her clients - she spent a lot of time with us after our ceremony for a mini newlywed photo session at Arroyo Burro Beach. She was great at suggesting photo ideas and never made us feel rushed - we had a lot of fun and it shows in the pictures. She is awesome, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again for more photo sessions with our pets!

We hired from Kristen of Veils & Tails for our courthouse wedding with a small group of friends and family in Santa Barbara and couldn't have been happier with the entire experience. I loved that we had the option to send her a Pinterest board so she could get an idea for what we wanted, as well as a questionnaire about us as a couple and the shots we wanted. Her communication was wonderful. She was friendly, professional and lovely to work with. Kristen has a great eye for composition, and captured both candid moments and posted portraits wonderfully. We would not hesitate to recommend her and will definitely hire her again if we need another photo session! -

I cannot say enough about how incredible Kristen is. She photographed us on three separate occasions - engagement shoot, Veils and Tails shoot (me and my dog), and the wedding day - and every time she went above and beyond. Not only is she excellent at photographing our pup, her mastery of composition and lighting produce the most beautiful photos of my now husband and me.
She also goes beyond just photographing and did an amazing job with our magnetic save the dates. The wedding album she made for us is stunning and I still look at it regularly.
For all your photography needs, go with Kristen. Now that it's been a few years and we've adopted another pup, we need to do another family photo shoot with her! -

She also did our engagement photos which I was nervous about because I don't like to be in front of a camera but she was amazing at making us the most comfortable. She also was willing to go to multiple locations for shots. Kristen comes prepaired with ideas for posing which is helpful as we are not models but she made us look great! For our wedding she was outstanding with her calm demeanor and professionalism. Also on a side note we had our dogs with us, which can always be added stress with a wedding but she was so wonderful with them which was extremely important to us. I would recommend Kristen to any one! She's truly a great person to work with! -

She photographed more than 5 events for us at the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens and it was such a relief when I knew she would be there. She always checked in with us before beginning, got a variety of photos (stills, action, groups, singular), and did an outstanding job of editing. She also always gave us all the shots she took, not just a preset number of the best ones. Kristen is my favorite photographer in town to use because I am comfortable working with her, she is friendly, on-time, and great at what she does. -

Kate Sent on 05/23/2016We had our wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We were so lucky to have Kristen agree to be our photographer. We needed someone who understood the Colorado colors of the fall and potential colder conditions. We didn't want too many traditional shots and she really captured the essence of the wedding. Fun, casual, loving and genuine!
My most favorite photo, in which she completely set-up, was the family photo of the my side of the family. We have not had a photo in probably 20 years. She assembled us along the fence line and arranged us at different heights. The photo has become a family favorite and everyone has it at the house.
As for price, she was completely able to work with our budget and really provided us excellent service with incredible photos.
