Letting someone else into your life and sharing your story can be very scary, but truly you'd be in no better hands than Steven. Every detail my husband and I gave him made it into our ceremony and we wouldn't change a thing. Anytime we had a question it was handled quickly and with care, truly cannot recommend Steven enough -

VaVow Ceremonies came to be when I first asked Steve to be my officiant. I knew he hadn't done it before, but I had full confidence that he could do it wonderfully, and boy did he exceed expectations. So much so that some of my wedding guests, complete strangers to him, asked him to marry their friends or family members. That was almost 15 years ago. Since then he has continued to bring creativity, thought and tremendous care into the ceremonies of couple after couple.
Steven and I were friends, but there was much for him to learn about my relationship. He took the time to understand our unique journey and the dreams we held for our ceremony. Whether it was video calls or in-person meetings, his communication was clear and consistent, leaving us confident and excited for the big day.
The ceremony itself was nothing short of magical. Steve wove our story with such eloquence and humor, even incorporating details about the historic venue that added a special touch. We were touched by the way he included personal anecdotes without feeling scripted, and several guests even commented on how heartfelt and personalized the ceremony felt.

My husband and I are not from the Boston area, so we started our research into finding vendors for a ceremony from scratch. Steve ended up being such an amazing part of our day! Steve took the time to get to know us individually and as a couple, so the ceremony was everything we hoped it would be. Not only did he take the time to get to know us, he guided us through our entire day based on what we needed. He offered guidance through music, the ceremony, any traditions we wanted to use, vows, etc. This allowed us to plan for the day with an ease of mind. Thanks, Steve! -

Beautiful Custom Ceremony
We could not have found a better officiant for our wedding than Steven at VaVow Ceremonies. My partner and I have been together for 10 years and we really wanted a custom ceremony that was about the long journey we've already been on together. Steven took the time to plan multiple hour long conversations with the both of us and individually to get to know us and our story better. These conversations felt extremely well thought out and comfortable and gave us the space to share exactly what we wanted to be incorporated into our ceremony. Besides the great discussions Steven prepared, he also provided a lot of information about marriage licenses, changing names, and other information that seems to get lost when planning a wedding. He also gave us great ideas to include in our ceremony like a reading and silent meditation moment. Before the wedding Steven made sure everyone was in the right places, kept us calm and in the moment before one of the most special moments of our lives. We did not read the entire ceremony script before the wedding which made it that much more special hearing it for the first time during our ceremony. We were speechless hearing the beautiful way he shared our story with our loved ones and tied in pieces from our prior conversations. Everyone including us was blown away by the entire ceremony and family members asked us afterward if Steven was our friend because he knew us so well. My favorite part about working with Steven was the way he listened to what we wanted and provided suggestions based on our ideas. The communication was great throughout the entire process and it was a truly enjoyable experience working together. I would highly recommend VaVow Ceremonies to anyone looking for a custom ceremony for their wedding. -

I had the pleasure of having Steve Belec officiate our wedding on New Year's Eve in 2012, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience.
