Vanessa was a delight to work with and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Throughout the day, she worked diligently and professionally among the busyness to capture the essence of our wedding. When we received our photos, I couldn't have been happier or more impressed. Through the photos, we have been able to relive that amazing day again and again. Her eye for telling a story with a picture makes her a cut above the rest. Thank you, Vanessa! -

To say that I am obsessed with our wedding photos is an understatement. Vanessa and her second shooter did such an amazing job at our wedding! They got every shot I wanted and more. I still have family and friends commenting on how amazing our wedding photos are and I am so so happy we went with Vanessa. Prior to the wedding Vanessa was super responsive and helpful. She helped with the wedding timeline and always had helpful suggestions. She was super flexible and let me add on an extra hour about a week before the wedding. Day of she had such a calming presence and seriously was the best to work with. If her style is your vibe do not hesitate to book her, you won't regret it! -

Vanessa was so amazing to work with. I had seen her previous work and I loved her style which translated so well to my wedding. She was professional and sincere and made our day totally chill. She worked elements that meant a lot to us into our photos, and brought out so many fun emotions of everyone involved into her work as well. Vanessa is a one woman photo machine and we seriously love everything she shot for our special day. She made our portraits so unique and I can't wait to stare at them forever! Vanessa Lain Photography! I mean wow! We are so grateful that we chose her as our wedding photographer. We were married in the Santa Cruz mountains and she blew us away. The light was always changing, because of clouds and trees, yet she knew exactly what to do and when. She directed us and made the entire process seamless. When it was time for the reception she blended in with our guests, we didn’t even know she was there! We have the BEST wedding photos with fun shots of everyone and couldn’t be more pleased. Our wedding day went by fast, so we are glad we went with such an amazing and professional photographer. We love the memories captured by her. Thank you Vanessa! -

More than ever expected!
My husband & I couldn't be more happy with Vanessa because her services were worth every penny! We were halfway through planning our wedding as covid initially hit. Between canceling & replanning our wedding, Vanessa made sure to make herself available to us. She helped us feel comfortable from the engagement session to our wedding day. This was our first time having a photographer, least to say we are no models, but damn did she make us look like we were! Vanessa made family photos a breeze & timely.. especially when I forgot to add some members to the list (oops). She was also so stealthy! Hire Vanessa - you will not regret it!!
Vanessa was AMAZING! From the first time talking on the phone, I could tell that she was incredibly professional, detail-oriented, responsive, talented, and easy-going. She makes you feel like you're the only wedding she has all season and always responded to quickly to any questions that came up. During the actual wedding day, she was so organized and on top of every little detail we had asked for beforehand yet brought this calm energy at the same time, which was so important to us during the chaotic day! The end results were AMAZING and we honestly didn't think it was possible for the pictures to turn out so well. She captured such beautiful, funny, and emotional candid shots that helped us relive our special day. Thank you for everything Vanessa, 100% recommend to any future bride/groom! -

Hildie Sent on 06/10/2018Vanessa did such a beautiful job capturing my daughter’s wedding. I love her style and thought she would be way too expensive for us, but we worked out a way to make it fit our budget.
She was super flexible about traveling to our different venues for the wedding and the reception which were on different days. Vanessa got all sorts of cool pictures that I didn’t even know she was taking.
There were a few shots that she didn’t get, but that was totally my fault for not communicating better. So make sure you tell her everything little thing you want her to photograph! Our photographs from Vanessa make me smile every time I look at them! -

We traveled from the UK to marry in California so finding the right Photographer was slightly more difficult. I instantly fell in love with her portfolio and contacted her through this site. Through the entire process not only was Vanessa a complete professional, but she was also so enthusiastic, friendly and went above and beyond to get all the info she could on the Ceremony site to ensure she captured the best photographs for us.
Vanessa traveled very far out of her way to photograph our day, and we could not be happier with the amazing photographs she captured. She was so easy to work... -
