Our wedding at Valhalla was perfect! It is an incredibly beautiful space and everything was went wonderfully. The communication prior to the wedding was always professional and helpful. We have no complaints and would recommend Valhalla to anyone! -

We knew we wanted to get married in the Tahoe area, somewhere under the trees, near the lake, not on a beach, not at a restaurant, and not a harrowing booking window where you can only book it online at midnight exactly 1 year beforehand or whatever. When looking for venues there were shockingly few that both fit that description AND weren't a zillion dollars (plus we're more laid-back people and really not at all golf course people), so we were so happy to find Valhalla. We were grateful for the recommended vendor list Valhalla has, which made it easy to narrow down but has some really great recommendations (we worked with Cassandra Ream at Art in Motion Design, who has a lot of experience working with Valhalla and knows how to make the venue really shine; highly recommend!). The staff at Valhalla was all wonderful. And the venue was really perfect; we loved getting married under the trees with incredible dappled light coming through, the dock was really lovely and we have some great photos there, we had a lovely cocktail hour and dinner on the lawn, and the great hall was perfect for dancing for our wedding (we had 90 people). Overall we couldn't be happier. -

We had a wonderful wedding day and are so grateful for Valhalla for hosting! The communication leading up to the event was excellent and everything ran smoothly. After looking at multiple venues around the lake, we could not have imagined picking a different venue for our May 2025 wedding. Given that weather can be unpredictable during that time of year, we wanted a venue where we would be happy with the celebration being either indoors or outdoors and Valhalla hit all of the marks! The great hall and the grounds are absolutely stunning and it was the perfect backdrop. The staff were all great to work with and the amenities that are included absolutely help alleviating some of the rental needs. We can't wait to get our final wedding photos back so we can relive it all! -

Lacy Sent on 10/03/2024We had an absolutely magical, fairytale wedding at Valhalla! The perfect day!
Getting married at Valhalla was an absolute fairy tale! We got married in August 2024 and had our ceremony outside, facing the lake. The venue was perfect for a hot, sunny afternoon and the view of the bright blue lake in between the tall trees was so gorgeous. Our guests loved how relaxed the environment was, not to mention the incredible sunset views and photo opportunities on the dock and beach! We had our bartenders use the wine barrel bar on the porch and provided all of our appetizers and dessert on the porch. The setup was perfect. Valhalla had a lot of beautiful additional offerings like antique furniture, string lights, log stumps and other fun décor. We ended the night dancing in the grand hall then took off via boat for our grand exit off the dock. 10/10 experience, highly recommend for other couples! -

We had just the ceremony portion of our wedding here and the staff was wonderful to work with. They quickly responded to all of our questions and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful. We had our wedding in front of the fireplace in the grand hall and did all of our photos right outside with the beautiful lake view. Our wedding guests all said it was the best wedding they’ve been to! I highly recommend them.Valhalla at Lake Tahoe's reply:

Stunning, historic Lakeside venue! Our wedding at Valhalla in June 2023 was amazing. We enjoyed working with the team at Valhalla from our first visit through the day of the wedding, which included two more planning visits and the rehearsal. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Their approved vendor list gave us several choices that helped us to form our dream team of vendors. We use the indoor and great lawn areas for our event, and enjoyed every inch of the building and property, which includes: the wraparound porch, comfortable and private bride and groom‘s dressing rooms, clean restrooms, the pier, and the gorgeous shores of Lake Tahoe. Valhalla is an absolute STUNNER of a venue. Pictures truly don’t capture the beauty of the charming old estate, surrounded by tall pines with the backdrop of sparkling Lake Tahoe. It doesn’t get much better than that for a Tahoe venue—and all our guests commented on how beautiful Valhalla was after our reception! Michelle at Valhalla was also super great to work with. 10000% would choose Valhalla again, and it will always have a special place in our hearts! -

Gorgeous venues!
We absolutely loved Valhalla!! Michelle was extremely helpful. The space is so beautiful you do not need to stress about the decorations as much. The proximity to the lake was perfect for photos on the pier and on the sandy beach. The guests loved taking photos too! The bridal suite was the perfect for us. There was some parking for the guests and vendors. We rented a lot directly from Valhalla which helped relieve additional vendors for rentals. Highly recommend! -

We did our wedding at Valhalla, and it truly was perfect. We had our wedding in June, so it was the perfect time of year to be in Tahoe. No smoky air from fires, and the weather wasn't too cold. All of their recommended vendors did an outstanding job. We were seriously blown away by how perfect the night went. The great thing about Valhalla is that it is already so beautiful you don't have to do much in decorations to make it look good. We got so many amazing photos, and everyone had such a great time. Our families and friends all connected on a deep level, which made it such a special time for everyone. It truly was the best night of our lives, and I deeply thank the team at Valhalla and all the vendors we worked with.Valhalla at Lake Tahoe's reply:

I can say that out of all the wedding venues in Tahoe, Valhalla is my favorite. It was my wedding venue when I got married, and my friends and family didn’t stop raving how beautiful it is. We were planning an outdoor ceremony in early Nov which was precluded by the weather a few days before. Michelle advised us about this and recommended we move the ceremony indoors which worked out well and we were very pleased with the entire event! -

Valhalla was the perfect setting for our wedding! The lake in the background, the towering trees and green grass, the classic lakeside lodge all made for a magical venue. Michelle, the contact at Valhalla, was incredible. She responded quickly to all our questions and was always able to answer them with accurate information. Fabulous venue!

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our recent wedding at Valhalla. It literally was the wedding of our dreams and the best day of our lives. When looking for a venue we knew we wanted to incorporate the many things we both love about the outdoors & narrowed our search down to the Lake Tahoe area. When we set foot in Valhalla and were greeted by Michelle Morton -who was very sweet, very informative, and very supportive throughout the entire viewing of the venue- we immediately got the feeling of this is where we would like to marry one another. Even though we had to wait 2 years to make this dream come true, it was well worth it and literally such a dreamy day. All of our guests were so impressed by the grounds, the venue, and the team members there. We are confident that we had the best wedding any of our guests were able to attend! So much was included for the price and it was exactly as we envisioned the day going. It was simply put: perfection. Thank you SO much Valhalla for all of your attentive communication and making the beauty and magic of our wedding day just that. If we could do our wedding over we would definitely be doing it there again. Valhalla will have a special place in our hearts forever and we cannot wait to return in the future whether it be for our own event or one of the many that seem to be held there. Michelle at Valhalla is the absolute best!! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue manager to work with! She was always extremely responsive, very friendly and kind, professional, and really goes above and beyond what is expected! Michelle is just the nicest person ever, and I can’t stress that enough! It’s so important and helpful to have someone to work with who’s like that on one of the most important days of your life. Now, that I’m done bragging on Michelle, let me also mention that Valhalla is the most beautiful, intimate venue ever!! We looked at about 10 really nice venues in Tahoe before Valhalla and once we saw it, we instantly knew this was the right choice by far. The pier, the water, the beautiful pine trees, the building itself (so much character), and the fireplace, all made for the best wedding we could’ve ever imagined and our guests were just in awe of it all and can’t stop talking about it. Everything was perfect!! You will not regret getting married at beautiful Valhalla and will have the best, most genuine, person to work with that truly cares about your big day, also! -

Pandemic wedding
We just got married on July 2020 during the COVID 19 panic and Michelle from Valhalla was extremely helpful in pulling this day off with us. She helped guide us through the reopening guidelines from the state. The venue was so beautiful our guests loved it! Perfect view of the water made for great sunset pictures. I wouldn't rather have done our wedding anywhere else. Parking was easy, the caterer served onsite perfectly, and there was plenty of room for guests to float around the property -

Valhalla was pure magic. We were blessed with perfect weather, and a monarch migration, but even without those fortuitous happenings, the location is beyond gorgeous. The sprawling lawn provided the perfect setting for dinner and allowed the guests to roam around and take in the scenery at their leisure. Michelle made us feel incredibly special on our day and was there to ensure that everything went according to plan. Valhalla was the perfect backdrop to our dream wedding. Valhalla is a true gem of South Lake Tahoe. We had 6 venue tours scheduled to go look at and Valhalla was our 3rd one. After we visited Valhalla, we instantly knew this was the place we would say 'I Do!' It had everything we could have asked for: an old vintage historic hall, tall redwoods, and right on the lake with a boathouse theatre and pier! Our guests said our wedding was a true fairytale and the coordinators at Valhalla are very helpful to understand what the requirements are and restrictions since it is on State Park land. They walk you through the process in your own wedding portal. FYI - this is not an all inclusive venue - you must resource out your own vendors and it is required to have a coordinator. When you tell people you're getting married at Valhalla, everyone GASPS!!! Ahhh that place is so beautiful and it is right next door to Camp Richardson where your guests can book campsites, cabins, RV sites, or in the historic hotel which some of our guests did. Book this place if it is your vibe, you won't regret it!Valhalla at Lake Tahoe's reply:
