Gorgeous Photos from a Calming, Fun Spirit
Valerie was so fun and easy to work with. She kept my husband and I feeling relaxed and having a blast while taking both the engagement and wedding pictures--which was a big deal to me. She brings a presence of calm that helps to bring down anxiety on a day that has a lot of moving parts. She also captured gorgeous photos very quickly which was a blessing because I had so many children in my wedding party.
I had wanted to take pictures outside, but I had gotten advice that scheduling pictures outside in February was not a good idea, so I had planned on settling for somewhere inside our venue. But Valerie was so calm and confident that we would make it work (and still have a plan for bad weather) that I felt comfortable with my initial plan, and it went brilliantly.
Her editing is gorgeous. I will always treasure the photos from that wildly perfect day, and I'll always be thankful she helped me stick to my dream of taking pictures outside. I'll always recommend her to friends. -

We were lucky enough to have Valerie for both our engagement and wedding day photos and to say we were satisfied with her is definitely an understatement. From the first picture she took, she was in complete control while being open and receptive to ideas that the moment provided. Her knack for using light and making the most of every moment she’s given. When the day of the wedding arrived, she made sure to knock out the shot list efficiently so she could get back to what she’s so amazing at: capturing the moments worth remembering. Her professionalism and great attitude made working with her a breeze and we couldn’t be happier with her. -

Valerie was awesome! She has such a laid back and easy going personality that it makes it really comfortable to shoot with her. My husband and I have always hated being in front of the camera but she made us relax and got some really great shots. She is great at taking any ideas you have and combining it with her own. I thought the price was very reasonable compared to a lot of other photographer packages I looked into. I would definitely use her again in the future. -

Valerie is one of Oklahoma's hidden gems for a wedding photographer! Her prices are so reasonable which was a plus considering how incredible her photos turn out. Valerie did our engagement photos along with our wedding day. We even got our engagement photos back within a week!! Her sweet personality instantly made us feel at ease and we loved how she knew how to pose my husband and I. Each photo comes out beautiful, not cheesy! Valerie has a true gift and you won't be disappointed in choosing her as your photographer. :) -

Valerie photographed our wedding in June 2016 at Belmar Golf Club in Norman. She had worked a couple weddings out there already so she was very familiar with the course & the venue, which was super helpful in getting the best shots possible! She perfectly captured how fun the night was. There were a lot of candid shots that we absolutely loved, you can't get those kind of pictures while posing. Another great thing, Valerie is very fairly priced and makes obtaining great wedding pictures affordable. We are so happy with our wedding photos, Valerie did a great job! -

My husband and I loved working with Valerie. Shopping around for a wedding photographer (or any wedding vendor for that matter) was not something that sounded fun or appealing to me but I felt very at ease once I met Valerie. Not only are her photographs amazing, but her personality is what sells it for us. She really listens to what you want as a couple in terms of style and your personalities. She was incredibly encouraging during our 105 degree engagement shoot and kept it fun and upbeat so the heat wasn't bothersome. During our wedding she was personable with everyone and put up with the wedding party needing directions repeated multiple times as people got excited and distracted. We requested to have a decreased amount of time placed in staged photos and lots of candid ones at the reception, and they turned out great! We also did not do a first look, and wanted to capture my husband's expression when I walked in, as well as my entrance. We were amazed when we got photos back of the ceremony because she captured so many angles and spots in the chapel we had our wedding in, but we never even noticed her moving around during the ceremony. The bridal party loved her and she was so much fun to have at our wedding. Bottom line: photos are phenomenal, pricing is fantastic, and Valerie really takes the time to get to know you and deliver photos personalized to your taste. -

She is such a dynamic person who can interact with anyone, and coming from a family of strong personalities, this was invaluable on our wedding day. Valerie did what needed to be done without having to be asked, and maneuvered the wedding like the pro that she is! Valerie is a phenomenal wedding photographer! She knows exactly how to capture each moment to make it timeless and natural. She has a wonderful sense balance and color, and she does a fantastic job of making you feel at ease. Our images were absolutely exquisite and she made us both look beautiful. My husband had a cobalt blue suit that shifted colors with the lighting, and Valerie made it look just as dazzling in the photos as it was in person. She gave us a huge chunk of her time and energy, and is such a joy to be around as an individual! If you have the chance to hire Valerie, do not hesitate, because someone else will snap her up! -

Not only are Valerie's pictures beautiful, they truly captured our life and love for each other. She was so encouraging and made us feel so comfortable so that we could make each picture a great shot. She was incredibly professional and responsive to all of your questions and concerns. Her editing was beautiful and natural, and she got our pictures back to us so quickly! We could not be happier with her, and we will definitely be recommending her to friends and family and using her again in the future! -

Valerie was very responsive, and took very good photos. She was adaptable, such as when we wanted to take outdoor pictures all over downtown in what ended up being sub-freezing temperatures. She took engagement pictures on short notice, and didn't have a problem with all the guests grabbing her for pictures, or taking their own pictures of photos she was taking. -

First off- Valerie's pricing makes every other photographer look like they're price-gouging. She was the least expensive photographer we looked at with the most impressive portfolio. As for the actual service? Phenomenal photography- not just the beautiful pictures, but for her fun, calming spirit on the day as well. I love her, my husband loved her, our parents loved her, our grandparents loved her... should I go on? Full photo rights, photos mailed right to me 4 weeks after the wedding on a huge flashdrive. I am swimming in the most beautiful memories. Thank you so much, Valerie! -

I've known Valerie since high school and she was talented early on, so I knew exactly who I wanted for our wedding photographer. I couldn't reocmmend her enough to anyone who is thinking of hiring her. She is a fantastic soul and is one of the best. She did our engagement, wedding and my wifes brial shoot. We didn't worry about asking her to do anything specific as she was a step ahead of us or had a better idea. Her pricing is fantastic and she'll do everything she can to make sure you get the best from her. -

My ceremony was outdoors and as soon as we said "I do" it started storming and a complete down pour of rain. Valerie still managed to work her magic and give us stunning images. She just went with the flow! -

Valerie Sebestyen is the best I have ever come across when it comes to photography. And Hopefully I have an inkling in the matter since I am a wedding videographer myself and have actually worked with her on a few weddings. In a photographer, it is extremely important to find someone that makes you feel at ease, comfortable, and as relaxed as one can manage on a wedding day. She went above and beyond on my wife's and my wedding day. Not only did she perfectly capture our day, but she was always there to aid a helping hand, especially when it came time to help cut the cake. I had no idea what I was doing! I had never personally cut a wedding cake before! But with her expertise and advise, I was able to manage. Most importantly though, my wife and I could not have picked a better person for the job. Her pictures are breathtaking and really, they are perfect. -

Valerie's photography is absolutely AMAZING! She did a wonderful job capturing all of the magical moments of our special day. Valerie is always extremely professional, pays attention to the tiniest details (such as making sure one bridesmaid takes the ponytail holder off of her wrist before bridal party photos), is so easy to work with, and knows how to make everyone feel comfortable for beautifully natural-looking photos. Valerie was a dream to work with. You will not beat her prices with the level of photography she provides. She arrived on time and literally spent the entire day with us, getting photos of everything, all the way from hair at 9 AM to the 1970 Pink VW Bug getaway at 11:30 PM. My mother is a photographer, so we were very picky when it came to choosing one for my wedding. We were not disappointed. I have had so many compliments regarding the photos and still haven't been able to narrow it down on which to print because there are so many wonderful ones to choose from! We are now thinking of doing a whole printed book because there are just so many.
Also, she will provide you with many more images compared to other photographers. I believe my portfolio consisted of around 900 pictures, versus other photographers said they usually get around 400-500.
You will not be disappointed with Valerie's service. Book her! -

Valerie is an awesome photographer! She is not afraid to get down and dirty to get the picture she wants! Very sweet and she does amazing work. You get back over 800+ photos back and rights to the prints! She can be hard to get ahold of and is very busy. You might have to contact her multiple time to get ahold of her and book further out since she's super busy. -

I would recommend Valerie to anyone. She was more than just a photographer at our wedding. She did anything we asked and offered help in anyway that she could. Her photos were beautiful and we loved them. -

I am extremely sad that I have to write this review, but I feel like I owe it to other brides as a warning. I'm using a local photographer for my destination wedding on 10/15/17, but contacted Valerie to shoot boudoir photos as a wedding present for my husband. My first experience with Valerie was in 2012 when she shot my college graduation photos (which were fantastic). I used her again in 2016 for my best friend's boudoir photos as my MOH gift to her, and once again Valerie did a fantastic job. Even though I now live in Dallas, I knew I wanted to use her for my boudoir photos because she takes great shots, she's affordable, and she's flexible. I paid her the session fee on venmo on 9/5/17, and we set the shoot for 10/1/17 at her home in OKC. I arrived at her house at our scheduled time of 11 AM that morning, and no one was home. I waited for an hour, repeatedly messaged and called her on Facebook, and texted and called her cell. No response. I went to brunch with some girlfriends in OKC hoping that I would hear from her. I finally headed back to Dallas around 2 PM, and sent her a message saying I was extremely disappoint and hoping she was okay--at this point, I'm thinking she had to have been in a tragic accident and in the hospital. It is now 5 days later, and I have not heard anything from Valerie. No explanation. No apologies. Nothing. I wrote a comment on her instagram asking her to call me, continued to message her on Facebook, called her cell, and texted her. She has now blocked me on all social media. I did request my money back on Venmo, and she fulfilled that request on 10/6. However, paying me back for a service you never offered does not compensate me for my time, the money I spent traveling to OKC, or the hundreds of dollars I spent preparing for these photos. The worst part is I don't have the time to take them with someone else for my new husband. I'm not sure what is going on with Valerie, but I would highly recommend hiring someone else. -
