I'd highly recommend anyone looking for VERY high quality images and who wants to hire a professional yet amiable photographer. Valerie was so helpful and worked with us to adjust the features of the package we were interested in. The only element to consider before booking is if you don't like the light and bright style of photography (sans much shadows), then her style may not be for you. It's very light and airy which is super flattering but just be aware! -

Wonderful experience
We had our wedding in October of 2020 and our engagement photos earlier in 2020. Valerie did a fantastic job even through the craziness of the pandemic. She was extremely helpful and patient along the way and answered all of our questions. She got some great photos of my husband which is very impressive because he always looks frightened in photos. All in all She did an amazing job and I would most definitely hire her again! -

Wedding Day Bliss
Val made our wedding photos so easy. From the minute she arrived, she knew exactly what photos to get and provided great guidance on how we should stand, position ourselves, etc to get the best photos, which I loved because I had enough on my mind already that day! Our photos turned out amazing. We even asked her to take our maternity and newborn photos two years later. We just couldn’t get enough! :) -

My husband, who hates posing for pictures, even liked working with her, and loved the shots she got for us!! -

Val was simply made for photography. She is so friendly, energetic and has a way of making you feel relaxed in front of the camera. Her creativity and eye for detail truly sets her apart. She is super considerate of what you want as a bride/groom. She sets up a consultation in order to gauge what type of photos you are looking for and encourages you to share your inspiration to help her capture your day. I really appreciated this because it felt like we were on the same page about what I wanted and gave us the chance to talk about what the day itself would look like.
I would describe my photos as bright and romantic. I hired her for both my engagement and wedding photos and couldn't be happier with how the portfolios turned out! Well worth the investment!!! -

User2036836 Sent on 02/11/2015Valerie is phenomenal; she set aside time to talk (via FaceTime, since I was planning a destination wedding!), was willing to listen to all of my ideas, had plenty of suggestions, and even reviewed my Pinterest the morning of the wedding before she came! She took the time to get to know me months in advance of the wedding, and was always so fast to respond when I emailed her with questions- no matter how small. Our photos turned out SO BEAUTIFULLY. I am absolutely amazed how many incredible photos Valerie was able to get. Of course, we ended up running late while getting ready, and Valerie was still able to get TONS of portraits in between the ceremony and reception. I swear the woman is a super hero!!!
My favorite aspect of Valerie's work is how organic it feels; nothing feels overly posed or over edited, and if you look at ANY of her work, her photos truly capture the joy and essence of a couple! I cannot recommend her highly enough! -

Amber Sent on 06/17/2011If you are looking to break the mold of boring, traditional, cookie cutter wedding photos, Valerie is your girl. She is an artist, pure and simple. Her eye for composition is unmatched and her spur of the moment creativity is a dream. Valerie flew all the way to Connecticut to shoot our Ceremony Rehearsal & Brunch, Cocktail Welcome Reception the night before the wedding, and the Wedding itself. She is a sweetheart to be around, but she makes sure that she is 100% unobtrusive on your big day. You hardly notice she's there, and yet she captures the intimacy of all the important wedding moments without fail.
This will NOT be the last time we work with Valerie (have you seen her baby photos? Ummm, yes please!).
