Mason helped make our day absolutely perfect! He asked lots of questions to perfectly understand what we were looking for and completely exceeded our expectations on the day of our wedding - we got SO many compliments on the music, and everyone from our youngest to oldest guests was having a good time. Nailed It!!!

We cannot say enough great things about Mason and Uptown Sounds! From the very beginning, Mason helped us build a timeline for the entire event, which took so much stress off our plates. Both Mason and Aaron were responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the planning process.

Mason provided exactly the music we wanted. He also had great ideas that kept the dance floor packed and the energy high all night long. A couple of friends even came up to us afterward to say how impressed they were with the music selection from start to finish. It was just great!

On top of all that, Mason is a very nice, friendly guy. We felt comfortable with him right away and trusted him completely to guide the flow of the night. If you’re looking for a DJ who is organized, creative, and genuinely enjoyable to work with, Mason and Uptown Sounds are it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Incredible DJ!

Aaron was the absolute best DJ we could've asked for. He was kind and communicative before the ceremony, walking us through each part and providing advice when requested. Day of, he was helpful and a huge hit among our guests. Could not recommend him enough!!

Mason Mcdrew

Mason did a perfect job helping me create all my song request and wedding dreams come true. He also worked perfectly with my wedding planner. He is extremely professional, he set up a facetime meeting three weeks out from our wedding to make sure we were all on the same page. He used every song request and vision I had. Loved working with him !!! 10/10 Uptown sounds and Mason !!

Perfect for Music Lovers and The Not Musically Inclined

By far this was the best decision we could have made. The entire process was incredibly easy and all of our last minute items were perfectly covered. All of our family members had a blast and told us that it was the most fun they had ever had dancing at a wedding. I can't think of any way it could have gone better.

I HIGHLY recommend Uptown Sound for your next event!!

There is not enough I can say about Uptown Sound and Mason McDrew. He not only took the time to Zoom call me so that we can discuss every detail of our wedding, but he pretty acted like my personal coordinator who kept up on track during all the chaos that surrounded me. Everyone on the dance floor had such a great time and he did not disappoint at all!!! I had several vendors that let me down (food wasn't good, bartender mixed up our Signature Cocktails, and hair/makeup person was a no show) but Mason was on point ALL night without skipping a beat (literally and figuratively). Please hear these words coming out of my mouth...HIRE HIM or at least talk to this professional company!!!!! Best time ever!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Aaron from Uptown Sound, and I truly can’t say enough amazing things about him! The Perfect Personalized Experience!

We were on the fence about booking a DJ for our wedding, but I am SO happy we did. From booking all the way to the day of our wedding, Uptown Sound was super communicative, professional, and flexible with us. We had Mason as our DJ and he was the kindest person from the start! He did a fantastic job highlighting our style/taste in music as a couple while also keeping the energy up and being able to read the vibe of our guests. He also was extremely helpful with planning the day by assisting me in setting up a timeline and deciding final details. I cannot recommend him enough. Wow! Mason was unbelievable 😍

We hired uptown sound because I asked the venue who they recommend. The owner Aaron was so great to work with. He made an exact cut of our first dance song, it was perfect. Aaron was always very responsive and quick. He sent Mason over for us to La cour Venue in McKinney. Mason is familiar with the venue and after our phone call with him I felt relief and support. Not only did he play all the songs we asked for, in such a great way, he went above in beyond in helping me with the timeline, excusing guests for dinner, and keeping everyone on track for every single thing. I can’t recommend mason enough. Everyone told us they never left the dance floor. Our aunt that uses a walker was out there all night dancing. She said she hasn’t danced like that in 10 years! I hope we can find another event to have him at one day. He’s our guy. Thank you Mason. Thank you Aaron. Thank you uptown sound!!

Uptown Sound had everyone on the dancefloor!

We used Uptown Sound for our wedding ceremony and reception, and can't say enough positive things about Aaron! Aaron really took the time to get to know our taste in music, and what we were looking for. He took our small song selections and turned it into magic! The music was amazing through our cocktail hour, dinner, and got people on the dancefloor ready to party when it was time for dancing, we got lots of compliments on the music the whole night! Aaron shortened the songs for our first dance and other special dances, so we got to experience the songs we wanted without having to spend too long on the floor with everyone watching. He was a great MC for our entire event, announcing the wedding party, our grand entrance, and more. Aaron was really plugged in to the schedule of the night, always working with out planners to seamlessly make small adjustments if we were running late or something other than what we had planned felt more natural. We had an amazing night and can't recommend Aaron and Uptown Sound enough!!!

Seriously the BEST - look no further!

I heard about Mason McDrew and Uptown Sound from my sister-in-law who coordinates weddings in DFW. She recommended them SO highly that they were the first vendor I booked right after venue, and I'm SO glad I did!! It was so important to me that my guests have a great time so DJ choice was critical!! Aaron and Mason were so great to work with right from the start - it's so clear they love what they do! We met with Mason twice before the wedding and he helped us narrow down our genres and song selection. He really made an effort to get to know us as a couple so that he could create the perfect night for us! Aaron even cut the music for our special dances and did SUCH a great job, it sounded professional and seamless.
Our wedding day was truly perfect. Mason worked closely with our officiant and coordinator to time everything from the ceremony to the grand entrance and special dances just right! And once the dance floor opened it was packed right up until the end - even my family who I've rarely seen dance was out there almost all night!! It was the perfect blend of music to where everyone could enjoy the night, and my husband and I truly had the best time. I can honestly say there's not one thing I would change about our experience with Uptown Sound. They're simply the best!!

Perfect! Mason was the best!

The best dance party ever!

Mason McDrew was our DJ and he did an absolutely incredible job! Perfect mix of a DJ/MC!

Aaron was a joy to work with! He provided lighting and DJ services and we could not be happier with him! From the very start he was such a professional and calming presence. In the planning phases I truly appreciated his thoroughness to talk through the entire timeline and reception details that were important to us and our families.

When it came to the MC/DJ aspects he did wonderful! He really took into account what kind of music we wanted as well as the mix of different types of music. The dance floor was packed all night and our guests loved the party! Also, the display of our custom monogram on the wall was so incredible and added a perfect touch to our celebration!

Mason Saved the Day & Kept the Party Going!

We needed a DJ in a pinch after getting cancelled on by another vendor and Uptown Sound really came through! Mason was quick to talk with me and my husband about our vision and wishes for our big celebration. He was on top of communication and really helped us lay out our full timeline. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our guests get up on their feet and down on the dance floor! He did an incredible job of asking us what we did and didn't want and thought of every last detail. Mason even gave us suggestions on creativity when we strayed away from some more boring wedding traditions. As two music lovers that met dancing, we will never forget the sounds of the evening and our friends and family can't stop talking about it either! 12/10 - would recommend!!

Simply the BEST!

We got married November 2020, and could not have asked for a better DJ/emcee to work with on our wedding day. Deitrich was amazing to work with leading up to our wedding. He arranged a meeting a few months prior where we were able to work with him to work on the timeline and picking out the perfect song for each moment on our special day. Throughout our wedding Deitrich did a great job playing music that kept the crowd dancing and having fun all night! He did a great job with announcing all of our wedding party and parents. Everyone kept complimenting how great our wedding was and how much fun they had, and good music is a big part of that. 5 out of 5 would recommend and work with again in the future!

Amazing to work with!!

Aaron and Mason were awesome the whole way through! They respond quickly and made adjustments to songs as we needed. Easy to work with, fast response, and Mason was AWESOME as our DJ the night of! Many of our guests stated he is one of the best DJs they have witnessed at a wedding. We let him choose our songs for most of the night and he did great and kept the crowd dancing and partying! We would highly recommend them for any occasion! We also used them for uplighting and a photobooth. Everything was perfect!

We had a really great experience with Deitrich and Uptown Sound! Both him and his colleagues were extremely helpful in explaining what all information they needed from us, and responding quickly to our questions and requests. They were able to accommodate all of our song cut requests, some of which we were afraid were too complicated. Deitrich really shined on the night of the wedding itself. We had many guests talk about what a great DJ we had, and how well he read the room the entire night. We were incredibly pleased with him, but I think that the many positive reviews from our guests speak volumes more than our own endorsements!

More Than I Asked For!

Mason made this entire process incredibly easy. I was quite nervous not having a wedding planner nor a coordinator during the reception, but Mason took care of it all. The entire wedding process went so smoothly, and better than I had expected.

He was very responsive to every email and text. Had a solution for every question I had - Keep in mind, this was during the pandemic so I had a lot of questions and he was so calm and reassuring. He was still so optimistic and that energy just helped me a ton.

Mason was very detailed which helped my fiance (now husband) A LOT. I believe this played a key factor why everything at the wedding went so smoothly. He was an amazing MC and brought great energy to the reception. He was also very flexible - The groomsmen thought of a game to play on the spot during the reception and Mason was totally opened to it.

I just can't imagine having this wedding without Mason from Uptown Sounds. Thank you so much and I highly recommend him!

We could not have asked for a better experience!

Aaron was amazing – he not only does an incredible job with the music, but he kept the entire evening organized and flowing smoothly. He got people out on the dance floor and really went out of his way to make sure that all the guests were having a great time. He worked seamlessly with the wedding coordinator on the timeline to announce the wedding party, when to eat, when to make toasts and most importantly, when to dance! I cannot say enough wonderful things about him – he made a special day simply perfect! I have been to plenty of weddings in my lifetime and I can say that without a doubt, Aaron delivers better than any other DJ’s that I’ve experienced.

Excellent DJ experience

Mason killed it.

Very impressed by the professionalism of Mason but also by his ability to go with the flow and improvise. He coordinated something awesome with my best man and I had no idea it was coming.

We also made a playlist for the reception but some of the songs didn’t hit the crowd so I asked Mason to take over and do his thing and I’m so glad I did. The party took off after he took the reigns and he also went above and beyond on a few other things that weren’t even his responsibility. If you read this Mason you gave us one of the most memorable nights ever and you brought a really good energy to the room.

Just the way you like it

My wife and I hired Uptown Sound for our wedding and couldn't be happier with our decision. All of the correspondence we had leading up to the big day was very professional and responsive.

Mason met with us before the wedding to go over how we wanted the ceremony to play out and the kind of music we wanted. We layed out how we wanted things to go and he made suggestions where appropriate. I didn't know exactly what music we wanted, but Mason was familiar with our favorite dance club and was able to get a feeling for the vibe we wanted.

On the day of the wedding he showed up in plenty of time to make all of the necessary preparations and sound checks before the guests arrived. Mason gave the officiant a lapel microphone that worked for all three of us. I really appreciated this because all of the guests were able to hear everything, and it didn't require the bride or groom to have their own microphones.

The music during the reception was exactly what I imagined and all of our guests had a blast. He played all of the songs that we had specifically requested and kept the music flowing to match the mood of the dance floor. They even mixed our first dance song to make it shorter without disrupting the flow of the song.

In the days following the wedding we had several guests comment on how much they like the music. Everyone had a blast and I would absolutely recommend hiring Uptown Sound to anyone!

Mason McDrew

Mason was SO awesome. He was really easy to work with during the whole process and was super patient (I was for sure not the most put-together bride). Mason had a lot of really great ideas and was prepared for things that I hadn’t even thought of.

The music itself was great day-of. He was able to work with us to have the specific songs we wanted as well as cut songs when needed. He managed the night well (as I’m sure you know, dj’s are a HUGE part of keeping a wedding on track/in order!).

I definitely recommend. Great guy who truly wants to make you happy and your day special. Even rolled with my fiancé’s bad jokes during our meeting.

Danced all night!

Mason and Aaron at Uptown are the best! I've been to FOUR weddings that Aaron has DJed and knew I was in good hands with Mason for my own wedding at Gather in Downtown McKinney. Mason was so patient with all our music requests and incredibly timely and professional. He absolutely nailed the feel we were going for throughout the evening and I received multiple compliments on how great our wedding music was. Could not recommend Uptown enough!!

Lots of fun and VERY professional

Aaron with Uptown Sound made our day extremely fun and incredibly smooth. He met with us initially to go over some important questions and then a second time to go over day of planning and songs. It was actually a lot of fun. On the day of the wedding, he set up early, made sure to give us and the bridal party the run down and work with our day of coordinator. We even caught a glimpse of him helping set our guest favors out on each table which he definitely did not have to do! He helped everywhere he could which was so nice of him. The set list he played was incredible. Perfect timing with the "must haves" and read the room to keep everyone dancing. We had a half Persian and half American ceremony, reception, and audience and he pulled off the perfect mix for both cultures. We highly recommend Aaron for your wedding. Great guy, very professional, and a lot of fun.

Uptown fantastic

Aaron was super helpful in both the DJ and organizational parts of our wedding. He helped us consider things that we may have missed and was almost an impromptu planner. Uptown Sound is top notch!

We worked with Mason and I can’t say enough about how great our experience was. From the start, Mason helped us determine a timeline, called out different times we’d need different songs, and tolerated all of our questions. On our wedding day, I found him setting up and asked him to cut a song for the ceremony, and he took the time then and there to do it. He did a great job keeping the flow of the event. The groom and officiant were mic’d and easy to hear. He was very professional (dressed in a suit) and found us throughout the night to remind us of the timeline. One of our guests even commented about how well it all came together, specifically referencing the DJ. ALL AROUND AWESOME!!

Fantastic DJ!!

Aaron was the best!! Before the wedding he was awesome to talk with about specifics and was really flexible. During the wedding he always gave me a heads up before he announced anything to the guests and just made sure the reception ran smoothly. The best part - THE MUSIC WAS SUCH A GREAT MIX. Absolutely Wonderful!

Mason was the DJ for our wedding and he was an absolute joy to have there! The most important things to us on our wedding day was good music, good food, and good people. Best Decision I Made

Using Uptown Sound was the best decision my fiancé, and I made when it came to essential vendor choices for our wedding. I worked with Aaron, who was there for us throughout the whole process. He sat down with us with a detailed planning session and truly listened to our vision and wants for the wedding (and was excellent at filling in the gaps with great suggestions too!). I can't communicate how much stress of uncertainty was lifted off our shoulders knowing we would have great entertainment/music (a huge part of the wedding!) on our special day. On the wedding day, Aaron worked with my fiancé and our Day of Coordinator, and I make sure everything went as planned and ran smoothly. He is a fantastic "MC" and definitely knows how to cater to a crowd (I would imagine all Uptown Sound DJs are just as good). Our guests were dancing all night long! We highly recommend Uptown Sound for any wedding or special event DJ needs and beyond

Made the night!

We were directed to Uptown Sound by our wedding planner and knew from our first meeting with Mason he was the perfect choice. We had a wide range of ages and music tastes and Mason kept people on the dance floor the WHOLE night! Everyone commented on what a great music selection we had and it was all because of Mason. He even helped us with our music choices for specific moments such as cake cutting to help with the overall tone of the night! Exactly what we were looking for!!!

My husband and I had our wedding in Sept 2018. You know how they say pick the top 3 things about your wedding that’s most important to you? Well a DJ was in our top 3. We wanted a DJ with credentials and who knew their music. My husband is from New York born and raised. I am Hawaiian but born and raised in Dallas, Texas. So, we come from diverse backgrounds and both enjoy an array of music (old, new, hip hop, Hawaiian reggae, Jamaican, soul, etc.). So, to find a DJ that could take all our tastes in music and incorporate them throughout the reception was very important to us. The Uptownsound website really helped us in understanding the services they provide. My husband talked to Mason our DJ and they hit if off right away. Mason seemed to know exactly what we were looking for. Then once my husband and I met Mason to go over our timeline and make final song selections, it was even more apparent that he was the right fit for us. We appreciated how organized he was taking notes about the wedding day and asking all the right questions. There somethings that we hadn’t thought that Mason helped us with. During the wedding, Mason knew the timeline and stayed on track throughout the night. He also prepped us for what was coming next. Our wedding had some added elements that aren’t typical in all weddings (e.g. my family performed music, grooms cake surprise, bride surprised by groom and groomsmen). Even though there were so many different elements, Mason kept the flow of the night smooth and steady without missing a beat. Awesome Service!!! Thank you Mason

Uptown Sound was recommended by another couple who had recently gotten married. We heard they were great, very helpful and involved in making everything go smooth, so we decided to hire them for our wedding. They were absolutely right!

Mason was our assigned DJ, and we could not be any happier after having gone through this experience with him! What a professional team of people. He truly cared to make it a special day, not just helping us with our music selection, but everything in between.

We were very pleasantly surprised that he took the time to get to know us and develop a connection prior to our wedding day. Even though we had a pretty good idea of the sequence of events at the reception, Mason –very respectfully- chimed in from his own experience and his suggestions were extremely helpful. Having him overseeing our plan, directing our reception as MC, and volunteering to help us with our little special requests (like the creation of the “shoe game” questions) was such a breeze. He is a very professional and friendly DJ who will not disappoint you! His attention to detail made us feel assured that everything would go great the day of, and that’s exactly how it went.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Aaron for our wedding music. He is very professional and definitely knows his trade. We have eclectic taste in music and he helped guide us to styles that would be popular for all of our guests, and I have to say that the dance floor was always full! He also spent an evening with us working through specific music for certain points in our day-off timeline, and was an excellent MC on the night of the wedding making sure our guests new what events were coming up. We have gotten several compliments from our guests on how much fun the dance floor was and how great the music selections were. Aaron was recommended to me by a friend who used uptown sound for DJ services for their wedding as well. They told me that he was a great DJ and got everyone dancing. And that held true at my wedding. He’s very detailed and professional. Very down to earth guy and knows his music. My wedding guests enjoyed themselves and noted the music transition was perfect. I used them for lighting services too and they were beautiful!

I also hired uptown sound for videography. I have not received the video yet so I cannot review that part of the service yet. But it was great that I got to bundle the services and received a nice discount. The videographers were never in the way and I didn’t feel like they were in the room most of the time even though they were shooting.

I highly recommend Aaron and his team!

Mason from Uptown sound was the DJ at our sons wedding this past weekend. He was amazing! The service was fantastic. The meetings were organized and helped my son and daughter-in-law to choose all of their music. There were so many little details we did not think of but Mason had it all under control. We had Mason DJ our wedding and he was fantastic! Extremely professional and quickly responded to our requests. He had good suggestions to get everyone dancing and the dance floor was full the whole time with a large range of ages. We also did the photo booth through uptown sound which was great. Guests loved the booth. They received print outs right after taking the photo and then we received an online album a few days after the wedding.

Wow... Out of everything for my wedding that I put the most effort in (food choices, appetizers, bar, cake, decoration, floral, DIPPIN DOTS, etc) the one compliment we received by over half of our guests was our DJ. Guests commented on how good he was, how he never let the dance floor go empty, how fun and upbeat he was! I am just so beyond grateful I chose Aaron from Uptown Sound to be my DJ. The whole process was smooth, we set up one meeting and from that I got the best experience and the best DJ I could've asked for. He knew what to ask, what I wanted and what would make the guests happy and stay the whole time. We also got our uplights through him along with a fog machine! Aaron and his team knocked it out of the park for my daughter’s wedding last weekend. We knew as soon as we met with him that he would make the day great but what really sets him apart is his preparation and planning before the event. He made it fun, helped every step of the way and was so responsive as changes popped up. Even at the last minute he was there doing whatever it took to make the day perfect. I cannot say enough great things about Aaron--he was definitely one of the reasons our wedding reception turned out to be such an amazing time! This company is AMAZING. After the initial planning meeting with Mason, I felt so at ease because he walked us through each thing and tailored everything to our wants. I was concerned about the song that I was walking down to and getting the timing right and he absolutely got it perfectly. So so thankful to have had Mason as a DJ-- I completely put the night in his hands!

Mason was the DJ for our wedding and he is so wonderful. He gave us great advice and helped walk us through every step of the wedding process. He is also an incredible human being and such a kind soul. We were so happy to have him be a part of our day. :)

Mason was the DJ for our wedding on April, 22nd and he was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting, he was very professional, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and seemed to be very attuned to helping us in any way that he could in order to make our experience great. He was extremely easy to get along with, was very responsive to emails and texts, and provided great resources to help us pick out certain songs during the wedding. My family wasn't very big on dancing, so Mason had great ideas in order to pull people onto the dance floor. He was also the announcer for the wedding and was very professional throughout the entire night. I would highly recommend Mason and Uptown Sound for all of your DJ needs. I am very impressed with the service and would choose them again in a heart beat!

There are not enough words that could describe how amazing Uptown Sound was for our wedding in McKinney Tx on 2.17.18. They were extremely responsive, very easy to get ahold of and always happy to answer any and all questions that we had...not to mention a few last minute additions! We got married at The Cotton Mill and Uptown Sound provided beautiful cafe lighting over the ceremony space outside and did the sound as well. We had an acoustic guitarist playing the music and the fades in and out were PERFECT. They did uplighting for the reception and the lights changed colors with the music-it was great! We loved our monogram gobo on the wooden wall. It was so pretty and a great addition! We also added a photo booth that was super fun with props and picture print outs for the guests. Mason was our DJ and oh my goodness- my wedding was the most fun wedding I have ever been to! I did not leave the dance floor. He did an amazing job of playing an awesome variety of music including some Cajun tunes for my hubby's Louisiana family. At the end of the night they turned the lights down and the dance floor was completely packed and everyone had their LED lights in the air. It was just perfect. Both of our families love to dance and just had the best time! They also did the videography...we received our preview video the other day and let me tell you- it has people in tears that dont even know us! They did the most beautiful job capturing the love that surrounded our day. We also had a drone and got aerial footage of the beautiful venue. Planning your wedding? Do yourself a favor and book with Uptown Sound! They have so much more to offer than just a DJ service. Aaron is amazing! He not only played great music he helped keep my wedding on track. He helped direct guests and was flexible when the schedule suddenly had to change. I would totally recommend Uptown Sound for any party!

I met Mason from Uptown Sound at a friends wedding. My husband and I were impressed with his work and hired him for our daughter's wedding.

Mason worked with the bride and groom on their music selections for the special moments, their likes and dislikes regarding music. His selections for the evening, based on their choices, were spot on, and our guests were impressed with the play list.

I would not hesitate to use Uptown Sound again should I need a DJ for an event.

Aaron was the BEST DJ! He did a fabulous job for our ceremony and reception sound. He got people on the dance floor, played great songs that we asked to play and fit the genres we like. He was recommended from 2 of our friends who's
weddings he also DJ'd for. Very responsive, professional, and easy to work with. We received several compliments and thought he did great.

We needed Aaron's services, not for a wedding event, but for our 18th daughter's birthday debut. He was extremely easy to work with, easily accessible through email, text or phone correspondence. He listened to how we envisioned the special event to be and did a spectacular job that night. We strongly believe he went above and beyond our expectations, from doing a beautiful job with our lighting needs, preparing each part of the event's program ahead of time, cutting the cake, to putting our guests at ease as he emceed through the night. And most importantly, we do not recall the dance floor ever being vacant from the time the music played. Thank you for helping us make that night so special Aaron. We will always have our great memories, thanks for everything you have done for us!

Mason was amazing! He was so helpful with choosing our songs and especially with the timeline of the wedding since we didn’t have a wedding planner! He exceeded our expectations. He had great recommendations for getting people on the dance floor and keeping them there and he did just that! We got many, many compliments on the DJ from guests!

Deitrich with Uptown Sound did an amazing job with our wedding! Very professional and thorough. He was able to put together a great playlist for the reception based on our preferences and was extremely easy to work with. He kept things moving and had a great personality. If I could, I would give uptown sound 10 stars in every category! Our wedding was on 09/22/17, we hired uptown sound for dj/emcee, videography, and uplighting. Aaron was definitely our best vendor choice. He was so great to work with, very friendly and professional. He was quick to answer any questions and flexible with our needs. We had a good mix of guests from all generations with different music tastes. Everybody was on that dance floor nonstop. Aaron played the right music at the right time keeping everybody entertained. He kept us right in time with all the announcements and special dances. Chris and Chet were our videographers from uptown sound. They worked so well and professionally with our photographers. We just received our preview video and were overwhelmed with joy. They captured the day and our personalities so well. We've received so many compliments on it and can't wait to see the full video. I highly recommend Aaron and his crew to all couples!!

It was a miracle - one week until the wedding and our DJ situation had changed. We needed someone to DJ, MC and run sound at the ceremony. We called Aaron at Uptown Sound and had a meeting within 24 hours on a Sunday afternoon! He was very professional and knew his stuff. The "agenda" we had previously tried to make took several hours and was incomplete, and it took only 30 minutes to put together an amazing agenda for our wedding ceremony and reception! We had the general flow, but he helped us define it and it ended up working flawlessly.

Aaron also was really good about respecting the natural flow of the celebration, working with the delays of Bride+Groom talking with all the guests :) but always making sure we knew what was next.

Also, he was the legendary Aaron K on Radio Disney back in the day. How epic is that? Seriously, would recommend for anything, especially weddings. Thanks Uptown Sound!

TL;DR: Aaron put together the BEST DJ/MC service in a single week! Couldn't be happier!

Uptown sound was amazing before and during our wedding!!! Aaron was always quickly responsive to emails and very helpful whenever we had questions. He also gave us a deal for using them for both DJ and videography which helped save us some money. Aaron was so organized before the wedding which made us less stressed. He was also an awesome DJ that day! He worked with my wedding coordinator to make sure everything was on track. Our guests loved his music choices throughout the whole day! He's also super nice and professional.
Uptown sound was also great for videography! I barely noticed they were there which I'm sure will make the video a natural portrayal of our day. They were also very nice and professional!
Highly recommend uptown sound!!

Uptown Sound and Aaron did an amazing job for my daughter's wedding reception. He is much more than just the "music guy". He really helped keep the flow of the entire reception going from the very beginning to the very end. He knew exactly what was going on at ALL times. It gave me a great deal of comfort in knowing that so many details were in his hands. He worked very well with our wedding coordinator(Embrace the Day Events) to keep me updated on anything that I needed to be aware of, but allow all of us to not worry and have a lot of fun! The music and dancing were great! He even worked in special music for Superfrog, the TCU mascot! The dance floor was full all night and all our guests had a great time!

Aaron was AMAZING!!!!! He really helped us pick some amazing songs and he made sure to choose songs everyone loved for the reception. I have had so many people telling me how much they loved him and how great he did! I even saw my husbands grandma out on the dance floor a couple times and she has horrible knees and walks with a cane! I wish I could get married every month just so Aaron could be our dj. He was so nice and just overall really helpful!

Aaron is seriously one of the best decisions we made! He kept the dance floor FULL!!! He really listened to our interests and we felt so comfortable at the wedding with him at the mic. The FLOW of the wedding was perfect. He was unobtrusive and communicated with our other vendors to make sure cake cutting/bouquet toss was all in order before announcing. He had everything needed for the Ceremony (multiple microphones, stands, etc.) and even Mic'ed our harp player last minute. He cut shorter versions of the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance songs for us to choose from, secured a karaoke version of a song for my sister to sing to, and even put together a mash up of songs for a Groomsmen Dance-off. Everyone LOVED him!!! Also, he dressed professionally (something I've seen other DJs not do)! We loved him!!!

I am going to be honest, my husband and I were hesitant on booking a DJ for our wedding after we had been to some bad DJ run wedding receptions. We were worried that we were going to have a New Jersey night club reception – LOL! Boy, how wrong were we!!! We met with Aaron and our view of DJs changed 180 degrees! Aaron is extremely profession and he LISTENS!!!!! He put mine and my husband’s fears at ease and helped us create an amazing playlist and reception timeline! Our once fears turned to excitement! Aaron is a great communicator and never once pressured us on any decision. Our reception was AMAZING thanks to Aaron! He was such a great DJ and kept our guests entertained the whole night! We got so many compliments from our guests (they loved Aaron’s presentation style)! Aaron actually saved our reception day too. We were told our venue reception lights had dimmers --- unfortunately we found out the hard way 5 minutes before our wedding that was not the case. Aaron swooped in and helped create gorgeous soft lighting that set the romantic mood of our reception! Aaron we want you to know how much we appreciate you and all that you did for us for our wedding! We cannot recommend Uptown Sound enough – thank you for changing our minds about DJs!

I cannot leave enough stars for Aaron at Uptown Sound. From our very first meeting, he took the time to know us as a couple - and understand our vision for our wedding. Our wedding ceremony was so beautiful, and he was so helpful with the timeline (we had a '1st wedding' minister) and helping us select every song. For our reception, we let Aaron know that we wanted to have a HUGE PARTY and have our guests dancing all night long. Our dance floor was PACKED all night, and he played our requested songs (including Mambo #5 which is a hugely underrated party song). He also ensured that each point in our timeline was executed, or adjusted if we needed more time on a particular event. Aaron also did the uplighting for our event, and pinspotting. Our reception was beautiful.

On a personal note, I so appreciate the effort and time he put into making our wedding so special. I remember coming out of my bridal suite to see him setting up, and I was totally panicking about everything going perfect. I guess he could tell because he took the time to reassure me that everything was fun and give me a hug. It is so evident that Aaron at Uptown Sound wants your day to be the absolute best. My day was perfect, and Uptown Sound played a huge part in that.

We loved the quality of service Uptown Sound provided for our wedding in Sept 2016. We booked them for DJ and uplighting. Best investment we made for our wedding, next to the photographer and wedding coordinator. Deitrich was our DJ/MC and he did a phenomenal job with the playlist and curating the mood for our reception - not only did we love every song that evening but out guests did too. So much that I wish I had booked him for an after party. Even the venue staff catering the dinner enjoyed the music, saying it was one of the best celebrations they had worked in a long time. Uptown Sound was so professional and a great bundle rate for the lighting and music. Deitrich took our list of about 50 songs that we wanted to hear plus my Dad's Ghanaian cultural music and managed to make it all flow perfectly. There was something for all of my gieats to enjoy and get on the dance floor. I would book Uptown Sound again for future celebrations.

We were skeptical about hiring a DJ because we didn't like how cheesy some of them were. We had met with a couple other DJs in the area and didn't click with any of them... until we met Aaron with Uptown Sound!

Aaron really listened to what we wanted. He played all the music we like and even played a few "party - starters" that we hadn't even thought of. He was a skilled Master of Ceremonies and kept the event on schedule in a professional manner. Aaron's fun personality made it even more enjoyable. People that didn't normally dance, were dancing. Everyone said they had such a great time and I owe it all to Uptown Sound.

I recommend them highly! Worth every penny!!

Aaron was a pleasure to work with! We were so happy to have him as part of our big day! He really listened to the music choices that we asked for, we had a great selection of fun and upbeat songs to dance to. His shortened songs were wonderful for our dances, it is done seamlessly!! We truly appreciated it as none of us were overly comfortable dancing in front of a room full of people! Aaron always responded quickly to emails and was so easy to work with. He understood the atmosphere we were hoping for and always addressed the room in a friendly and professional manner. We cannot thank you enough for making our night so wonderful!

We worked with Aaron from Uptown Sound and could not have been happier! He was an awesome DJ - great at getting guests out on the dance floor, fun, professional, and he really gave us exactly the kind of night we hoped we would have. We used Uptown Sound for our wedding in Fort Worth at the T&P Station and our ceremony at the Marty Leonard Chapel. They were exactly what we wanted in a DJ. We used Jay the DJ that the owner Aaron set us up with. They were both professional and fun! He answered all of my email and questions promptly. Jay kept everyone on the dance floor all night and even one of our friends wants to use them at their wedding. This is an easy and great decision on using this company.
