A wonderful experience. Prompt, professional and kind ! Went out of their way to make sure all was ok with the tent. All the way around great experience! Thank you for making our daughter’s graduation party wonderful!

Great Rental Vendor

Our venue had recommended we use them and they were great! They we flexible to help us accommodate some last minute changes, timely to help make set-up and break-down smooth and professional. The prices were reasonable and would recommend!

Great Service!

After receiving quotes from many vendors for chairs, Upstate provided the best value with the best service. Their online contract process made it very easy to reserve and pay for what I needed. We ended up calling them 2 days before our wedding to add a dance floor and they were very accommodating on short notice. Delivery and pickup were on time and they were very responsive throughout the planning process!

I needed a linen tablecloth last minute for a trade show event happening the following day. I mentioned having a long commute. When I asked "How long are you open?" Karen's response was "As long as you need me to be!" End story...I got what I needed in time, for a good price. Had a good conversation and referred to excellent pub for food. Parker's was great! Thank you guys!!!

My husband and I got married at my parents house and needed two tents. I had a vision of big, open tents with beautiful lighting, dance floor and tables. Mike and his family business delivered everything perfectly, we could not have been happier. He even helped us book an awesome bathroom trailer for the driveway. his cost was at least 40% down from other places I was quoted, and he dropped the tents, tables and chairs off 4 days before our wedding so we had ample time to set up and decorate. Our wedding day was perfect and we have Upstate Party Rental to thank! if you are planning an outdoor wedding in Syracuse area, please save yourself time and don't look further, as I spent MONTHS researching and calling. Mike was prompt in responses and up front with costs, such great people!

I was the typical stressed-out bride when I was planning my wedding. Upstate Party Rental made everything so easy! They were super flexible, including allowing a last-minute cancellation of the tent if the weather cooperated and we decided to skip it. We got married at a country club and they took care of all of the setup without us having to be present (which was incredibly helpful the day before the wedding). They helped guide us on exactly what we needed to rent. Honestly, we did very little work because they were so helpful and knowledgeable. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

There service was great and, they were easy to contact. We didn't realize that we would need a bigger dance floor after it was delivered and they were able to accommodate us very well. They were able to bring more and, it went very smoothly.

Mike at Upstate Party Rentals was so great to work with! He was so responsive throughout the six-month planning process, and was always willing to answer any questions I had. We met at the site once to plan the layout, and then his team showed up two days before the wedding to set everything up in just a few short hours. Mike always kept our needs and wants in mind, and never tried to oversell us on anything.At several times he actually recommended less expensive options that we weren't aware of, so on the rare occasions that he suggested we do "more," we were completely comfortable knowing that he was giving us his professional advice, and not just trying to pad our order. In the end, the tent looked beautiful! We got a 40' x 100' center pole tent with Italian café lighting, a dance floor, seating for 180, banquet tables for food and beverage service, and all of our linens. The equipment was is great shape, and the set up was exactly what we wanted.

Our daughter's wedding was a fun but somewhat stressful time. Upstate Party Rental did so much to help us pull off this grand event but also went above and beyond to get us quality products at a reasonable price.

Our event was actually a decade reunion with over 4,000 attendees. Upstate was prompt with both setup and removal. They offered many valuable suggestions for location and size and the price was far better than any competitor. I will use them again and again.

Nice to work with

Upstste was great to work with. They were easy to work with and answered any questions we had along the way. They worked with our catering team to work out dishware count etc.

There were a few small details I could complain about. The tents we rented were pretty dirty on the inside. Almost thought of pressure washing before the wedding. The "cafe" lights we rented were Christmas lights.

Overall, I would recommend.

Upstate was excellent to deal with. Our wedding ceremony and reception was at the Ithaca Farmers Markets, on a busy market day. On time delivery of the rentals was key as we only had 75 minutes to transform the space from an empty market to an actual event. They charged a small set up fee and in return, set up all the ceremony chairs and reception tables, which was a big time saver. In addition, they arrived promptly after to breakdown the event...also a critical point as nothing could be left behind as the following day was a busy market day.

We rented the hot box but there were not big trays in there so that was a problem, other then that it was great!!!!

Fair pricing and great service! They were pretty quick with their email replies, which was a major plus. We had a pretty simple set-up and it was all pretty much what we expected. Nothing too fancy. But they do offer that.

I was pleased with all services. My disappointment was only in the air cooler that I paid 350 dollars for and it didn't work. It was originally told to me that it would be sufficient for the size tent and I ended up renting 3 more coolers from another rental place and paid 1/2 the money total for 3 of them, than I paid to Upstate Rental for 1. However, at the time not knowing I relied on their knowledge and realized they really didn't really know, they just made a lot of money renting the cooler.

For our wedding we rented chairs, cocktail tables and bar stools from Upstate Party rental. The chairs we rented were the basic white chairs and they looked nice and they dropped them off the day before the wedding so there were no issues. My only complaint is that they delivered the wrong bar stools for our reception. I had discussed with them, that I wanted bar stools with backs so that older relatives could sit without needing help. Unfortunately they dropped off regular bar stools without backs to them and my venue did not realize and it didn't even occur to me until the actual reception. On my wedding day I just let it go because obviously you're beyond elated and excited and having wrong bar stools wouldn't ruin my day, however, it is something worth mentioning in this review. Otherwise I had no issues at all with Upstate and they were prompt and responsive to me when I contacted them. They were really the most affordable option relative to other rental companies but there was no compromise on quality.

Upstate Party Rental

We rented a tent, ceremony chairs, and a couple tables from upstate party rental. Throughout the process they were very flexible And friendly as I needed to change our order several times. On delivery day at the property the man who came to set up the tent and tables asked if we had a restroom to use. Unfortunately the bathroom trailer we had rented was not up and running yet, and the home on the property was a private home that we could not allow people to just walk in and use the restroom. I apologized and told him there were some local gas stations right up the road with restrooms etc. as he was finished setting up and was about to leave. When I explained this to the delivery man he seemed aggravated and walked away and decided he would take it upon himself to pee outside on the property. Granted we were having an outdoor ceremony with a barn reception, but it is completely unacceptable to just pee outside at a wedding venue! When I called the company because I was beside myself they just said “I’m so sorry I don’t know what to tell you, I will speak to him when he returns.”

Awful Customer Service

Upstate Party Rental
By far the WORST customer service I've ever received I see why they don't let people leave reviews on there facebook page, cause they would be pretty bad.. Because of them my wedding almost didn't happen. My tent was so late we barely had any time to set up. Now at first it was understandable because of the weather but then they kept lying about what time they would drop it off and when I called they had my event date wrong (thought the paper work was right) and I was then screamed at by the childish owner like it was my fault they were late. They weren't considerate at all and made the day before my wedding a living hell. We have less than 5 hours to set up for my wedding that had 110 guest. I will never use this company again due to the worst customer service and the fact the owners have no idea how to properly run a business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
