Such a great wedding dj!
DJ Jon Brown was such an amazing DJ for our wedding! He came highly recommended by our planner and we all could see why! We hired him and the drummer he has for hire with him for our April 9 wedding and it was SO fun! We basically let him play whatever he wanted and he didn't miss a beat. Everyone is still talking about him and the drummer! Highly recommend!DJ Jon Brown was such an amazing DJ for our wedding! He came highly recommended by our planner and we all could see why! Easy to work with and accommodating. Great music selection. Professional and knows how to read a crowd.
Jon was the DJ for my wedding back in March. He was easy to work with and very professional throughout entire process. Our guests did not stop dancing the whole night, we had everyone from the younger to older guests dancing all night! We also have a few friends getting married soon who all asked us for his contact information and we know one of them has already booked with Jon so far! Music is a very important part of any wedding and Jon knows how to keep the crowd on the dance floor and entertained. We provided him with a excel sheet of our favorite songs with ones that we absolutely wanted played in bold but also told him to play whatever he saw fit and he did not disappoint! He can easily read a crowd and choose music appropriately. The DJ can make or break a wedding and I highly recommend Jon to make it a wonderful night!Jon was the DJ for my wedding back in March. Easy, professional, and most importantly so much fun
We would absolutely 100% recommend Jon Brown and Unite Entertainment! I was planning most of my wedding from out of town, and I felt instantly comfortable when I talked to Jon. Unite entertainment has a very convenient client request form you can fill out and edit up until 4 days before your event which makes it easy to jot down thoughts or songs you want to hear. I just had a few requests of the kind of music we wanted to hear at the wedding and I loved every song he played. I had some specific requests about our cultural dance and Jon made me feel really comfortable expressing my opinions and everything was perfect. Thank you again for everything, we couldn't have asked for more and will cherish the memories forever.

D.J. Jon Brown was absolutely amazing. He created a perfect "flow" for our wedding. He was incredibly accommodating to our picky musical taste and his music selections had EVERYONE dancing and having a blast. We had a Soul Train line, did every hilarious wedding group dance, had 80’s and 90’s style dance battles, complete with every fun dance move on the planet. I still have relatives and friends talking about our "hype" DJ... months after our wedding! Thank you Jon from the bottom of our hearts...I will never forget the joy and fun you created for us.D.J. We can’t saw enough about DJ Jon Brown and Unite Entertainment! They did a phenomenal job for the wedding of our dreams. We spoke to Jon over the phone initially to get to know one another, and it was so easy to connect with him and discuss our musical tastes. We were immediately on the same wavelength, and we could tell his style was a perfect match for what we were looking for - Jon is super easy to get along with, if you speak he will listen, and he will also provide his advice drawing on his immense experience. We trusted him to run the entire show. The music was perfect from beginning to end drawing on different genres (classic, jazz, motown, funk, pop, hip hop, etc.) and transitioning just how we wanted throughout the evening. Jon also has amazing presence on the mic and a skillful ability to read crowds to get the party going and keep it going. His intros and shout outs were well timed, short and sweet - just what we had hoped. DJ Jon of Unite Entertainment was HANDS DOWN one of the best decisions we made during entire wedding planning process. At first we debated between having a DJ or a band, and just wanted to go with what would bring the most people onto the dance floor. Being from the east coast I was used to seeing more bands at weddings, but every wedding I had been to in California had a DJ. We knew when we watched his demo that his personality was exactly what we were looking for – he let his DJ-ing skills and music choices speak for themselves, and was very minimal on the microphone. We specifically didn’t want a “showy” or “cheesy” dj, as we wanted it to be all about the crowd and the music, and that’s EXACTLY what he delivered. From the start of the planning process, he was responsive and available, and flexible with our requests. His survey link that we filled out was super simple, we were able to quickly choose songs, schedule speeches, list special dances, etc. We had a special surprise first dance and he opened the wedding with the medley we chose flawlessly. He completely understood the vibe we were going for – our guests ranged from 10 years old to 80 years old and EVERYONE got on the dance floor. Perfect mix of music and exactly what we envisioned. He did an especially amazing job of integrating our "must plays" with his own picks, which we encouraged him do as he got a sense of the crowd. At the post-wedding brunch EVERYONE was talking about how amazing the music was. I’d highly recommend DJ Jon to anyone looking for the perfect DJ. He was absolutely exceptional. First of all, they moved along the timing of the whole dinner and reception. Not their primary job, but they know what they are doing. Secondly, I was very specific with what I wanted musically and they surpassed my ideas and took it to the next level. My dad first heard Jon dj at a wedding in Newport Beach several years ago, and took his card knowing we'd be interested when the time came for us to get married - and we are so lucky he did! Booking was quick and easy - Jon answered all of our questions quickly and was extremely helpful start to finish. I also thought his rate was very reasonable (for reference our wedding was in the Bay Area). He has an incredible way of reading the crowd and the energy of the room, while still working in any must-hear songs you may have on your list at just the right time. When planning a wedding the best advice we got when it comes to picking our vendor's was to get a good DJ, since they essentially drive the mood and energy of your wedding from the moment guests arrive. This is not the place to skimp budget-wise based on who is cheaper. We thought about it, until we met DJ Jon Brown.
Jon could not have been better! Seriously he didn't miss a beat and I'm super picky when it comes to music! We met Jon on a recommendation and couldn’t be happier. He incorporated the music we love (current hits, some country, some older hits....) along with other great music to dance too. The overall sound was amazing, epically for an outdoor venue (Lombardi House). People literally didn't want to leave the dance floor and there was never a dull moment!
Before your wedding, you have make a few choices based on what music you like, what's on your must-hear list, what is on your do-not-play list and then they take it from there. It was way easier than I would have expected.
Jon is not one of those cheesy DJ's that I've seen at way too many wedding, or like you see in the movies. He talks when needed, but keeps it short, sweet and just plays great music. Since our wedding I can't even count how many of our guests have ranted and raved about DJ Jon Brown!
Picking a DJ was a bit challenging for us, because there are so many options (and it seemed like a lot of lame ones). I can confidently say that DJ Jon Brown was a major reason our guests had so much fun at our wedding! Jon played a major role in making our wedding the success that it was. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it to keep the party going. His transitions were flawless- he invited all guests onto the dance floor in the middle of my father/daughter dance with my dad, and from then on, I could not pull myself away from the dance floor! I had such an unforgettable, joyous time dancing with my friends and family (and now-husband, of course), and I will remember that feeling forever. Jon worked with our budget, was patient when we asked his advice about the evening's timeline during the planning process, and even provided lighting to add to the ambience of the room. Unite Entertainment is a gem!Jon played a major role in making our wedding the success that it was. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it to keep the party going. Choosing Unite Entertainment for the DJ at my daughter's wedding was the best decision ever. Jon gave us an experience to remember. He chose the perfect music at the right moments. His equipment is top notch. The speakers were amazing. We also opted to utilize his lighting. This also was a good decision. The reception was beautiful and the evening was perfect due to the professionalism he provided as did his associate. Danny and I are SO happy we decided to use Jon as our DJ!! After meeting with him for the first time, he mentioned to us that he just got married, and knew what it was like to "budget" for a wedding. That took a lot of stress off our backs. In addition, Jon has been in the industry for years so we had a good feeling about him. That being said, our wedding day was a dream come true!!! Thanks to Jon, all of our guests were dancing on the dance floor and having the best time of their lives! Do yourself a favor and hire Jon as your DJ! DJ Jon Brown is by FAR the absolute best DJ on the planet... I was hesitant to book because of the cost, but after all was done, he was worth EVERY penny - AND MORE. He took all the stress out of the whole process and made it SO easy for us as a couple. I would say that out of all my vendors, Unite Entertainment was the one vendor I got the most compliments on from guests - everyone was blown away at what an incredible atmosphere he created for our event. We asked for the PARTY of the CENTURY and he certainly delivered. Jon knows how to get a party going without being that cheesy MC that you see at most Bar Mitzvahs. He is classy, and creates an ambiance and presence with his music choices and mixes alone! He also helped us when I asked if my brother could play piano as my processional song, and it was easy and seamless - he set the whole thing up in our backyard.
