When it came to my wedding day makeup, I was searching for an artist who could maintain my natural look while enhancing my beauty—a balance Tara and her team flawlessly achieved. They skillfully handled my bridal party of thirteen, ensuring each person looked absolutely stunning. Tara is incredibly accommodating, attentive, and dedicated to understanding and delivering exactly the look you desire. Without hesitation, I would choose Tara repeatedly for my wedding day. -

Dream Make-Up Team!
My experience with Underground Artistry was incredible! I could not be happier to have chose to work with them on my wedding day. Communication and organization are definitely strengths of theres and they were super accommodating with adjustments along the way. It was comforting to have reminders and resources sent periodically while I was also juggling planning other aspects of the wedding. My artist, Saily, was professional, kind, positive, and with the most calming disposition. She welcomed a trial for not only myself, but my mom as well. We both so appreciated that she would ask and confirm before taking the next step in our makeup not only during the trial, but on wedding day as well. She welcomed suggestions/inspiration and was an excellent listener. As someone who does not typically wear a lot or any make up at all it was so important to feel like myself. Saily found the perfect middle ground to where I looked like me with a little added glam! Not to mention, the makeup down to the lipstick lasted all day and night despite (many) happy tears. Loved any suggestions she had to share as well for prep for the big day and thereafter. Evette was our second artist on wedding day and she and Saily both did a beautiful job with my bridesmaids and MIL as well. They both brought along some fun conversation and excitement into the morning making our time together so enjoyable. I am forever grateful for the hard work of Underground Artistry and would (and already have :)) recommend them with glowing colors to anyone! -

Loved Underground for my wedding!
I booked underground for my wedding this past October after hearing so many good things. They were the first vendor I booked! & I’m so glad I did! Tara was great to communicate with, was so nice! & she did half my bridesmaids make up & they loved it! Saily did mine (the bride) & some of the other bridal party & I can’t say enough good things! She came to me for my trial, asked questions, didn’t make me feel any type of way about not wanting too much or not wanting fake lashes (as other MUAs have done in the past), took pictures with her professional camera so I could see what it would look like in pictures& she was a ride or die the day of my wedding!! I had booked for make up to stay until after my ceremony (I’m a sweater & a cryer) & I bawled like a baby during my first look/vows & she was right there to fix me up!! I highly recommend underground artistry for any of your make up needs! They won’t disappoint!! -

I worked with stylist Saily for my wedding. Saily did makeup for me and 3 of my bridesmaids. She consulted with everyone throughout the process and everyone was very happy with their makeup. It stayed fresh-looking all night! Tara and Saily were very communicative throughout the booking process, trial, and leading up to the wedding. -

Absolute Perfection!
Tara is absolutely amazing! From the makeup trail to the big day I could not have asked for more! During the trial Tara really listened to what I was looking for and asked lots of questions! She did my makeup, mother of the bride and groom and my bridesmaids and everyone was so happy especially me! Tara was able to make my makeup dreams come true and the makeup stayed all day even with some happy tears! Tara was so much fun and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! She did great with mature skin as well! I highly recommend her and will be using her for any future events! -

Perfection!
What are you doing even reading reviews anymore? Book her now. She listens to exactly what you want and make it come to life. I had Tara for my bridal shower and my wedding. I asked for different styles for both events and she killed both of them. The shower I wanted a “No make up” look and a very soft glam for the wedding. Not only is she the sweetest but she makes you feel like perfection and still look like yourself just your best self! All the girls were so impressed. I mean look at how good my mom and sister look as well. Tara is the best in the game. Stop reading and book her now, you won’t be disappointed 😊 -

Tara and Michelle were absolutely AMAZING to work with! I had a 10 bridesmaid wedding party plus myself and two mothers. They were timely, professional, flexible, and absolute sweethearts! Tara took the time to sit down during our trial to make sure she knew exactly what kind of makeup I was looking for for my big day! She took her notes out the day of the wedding and she crushed it. I will HIGHLY recommend Underground Artistry to all brides! -

I had a great experience with Underground Artistry for my wedding day. Tara was so easy to work with in addition to her beautiful work. My bridal party had a wide range of comfort around makeup. One requested the works while another never typically wears any makeup. Tara made everyone look photo-ready and feel comfortable! My makeup looked beautiful, made me feel bridal-glam, and stayed on through the long day. I would recommend UA for your special day! -

I can't recommend Tara enough - she did such a fabulous job on my wedding day for me and my bridesmaids, and was so wonderful to work with in the lead up to the main event. She listened carefully to everyone's requests and specifications, and all six of us were thrilled with the results. Tara and Lee were absolutely fantastic!! I got married in Lambertville, NJ last weekend where 11 ladies & I got our makeup done. Every single person looked absolutely stunning! It was a 95+ degree day and after hours of photos, talking & dancing - our makeup still looked incredible hours & hours later! I couldn't say enough good things about the entire experience! From my first email to Tara to my trial with Lee to the big day with Tara & Lee - every single interaction was quick, professional & ultimately glamorous! Tara had us set up with Michele from her team and she did an AMAZING job. Me and the bridesmaids couldn’t be happier. She made us feel absolutely beautiful while still looking like ourselves. We didn’t feel cakey at all but still had plenty of glam. She also made us feel so comfortable and was so sweet. My makeup lasted the entire day! Tara from Underground Artistry was my makeup artist for my wedding at the John James Audubon Center in Audubon PA. She did makeup for me, my bridesmaids and my mother. Everyone looked amazingly beautiful. The makeup was glamourous, yet still natural. She asked each bridesmaid how they normally wear their makeup, what color they were wearing, what colors they liked - all to ensure they were getting the best look for them. I can't recommend her enough! Going with her was a great decision. -

Tara was an absolute dream to work with, for myself (the bride) & my entire bridal party. In the middle of a pandemic, for a last minute, 2 days after Christmas, intimate wedding, Tara was the perfect fit. She was professional and flexible, managing to FaceTime a consultation with me before hand, and then navigate safety precautions effortlessly, while still allowing the day and preparation time to be celebratory for us all. My whole bridal party looked gorgeous, and Tara was able to take each individual girl's style and create an elegant, classy, yet magical look for them, while putting us all at ease. She is a true artist. For myself, I have never felt more beautiful in my life. One of my favorite things was the way in which she was able to create a look that appeared stunning in person without looking "fake" but still natural. And on top of that, she knew a way to add enough drama to separate the look from the "everyday" and assure that it would look remarkable in pictures (particularly important on your wedding day, after all). I cannot recommend her more. -

Tara is absolutely amazing! I cannot rave enough about how beautiful her work is and how beautiful of a person she is - she is so extremely kind and stepped beyond her role as a makeup artists to make my day so much more special! Firstly, during COVID times, it is truly important to recognize people and businesses who have the utmost values at their core, and Underground Artistry is one of those companies. They truly care about their brides as humans, and do not view you as a customer. Our wedding was scheduled for 8/22/20, and we originally planned to have a 250 person wedding at a venue in Philadelphia. I was originally contracted with a different makeup artists; however, I found out last minute that she could no longer do my makeup. Luckily, my hair stylists (Jenn from Happily Ever After) recommended Tara, and Tara was available. I am so incredibly happy she was because it was hands down the best makeup I have ever had done. Even though Tara doesn't normally travel for this small of a group and normally charges an extra fee for a small group, she was willing to make an exception due to the situation COVID left us in and waived the fee normally charged for a smaller group. She traveled to my sister's house in Philadelphia and did our makeup. You could tell your makeup was done and she made you sparkle, but you also still looked like yourself and did not have that powdery/caked on look that makeup normally leaves. My mom, sister, and I were all extremely happy with our makeup (we felt absolutely beautiful and still like ourselves!), and it lasted throughout the hot, sweaty August day! She not only did an incredible job with all of our makeup (everyone was so happy with their makeup!), she stepped in to help out when we were running behind. Since we had less hands helping that morning to get me into my dress and get everything together, she helped me not only get my dress situated (thank you for that!), but also helped to take pictures of me in my dress with my mom and sister and escorted us to our car to make sure we had everything we absolutely needed for the day. She exceeded our expectations as a makeup artists, and I am still blown away at the kindness she showed on my wedding day. I was so thankful for her truly amazing work, and the kindness and respect that she treated me with as a customer. She went above and beyond to make sure that both parties in the contract were happy, which sadly, is a rare thing for businesses during this time. If you are looking for an incredible makeup artists and someone who truly cares about you, look no further! Underground Artistry and Tara exceeds all expectations! Thank you Tara for making these difficult times a little easier and for going above and beyond to make our day exceptional! -

Underground Artistry was a pleasure to work with, beginning to end. From booking with Tara, to amending my contract to add more women - the process was easy and the customer service unparalleled. They always got back to me in a timely fashion and were willing to communicate the way I preferred (email or text or both depending on my mood!)
The day-of, Lee was assigned to me and my bridal party. Not only was Lee's makeup PERFECT when she showed up ON TIME BRIGHT EYED AND BUSHY TAILED AT 8 AM, but she made each of us feel absolutely flawless. Each of us felt like we got the most perfect amount of attention, and had our makeup catered to our needs. If you have the opportunity to use Lee, you will NOT be dissappointed! -

Beyond amazing
Coming from someone who rarely wears more than mascara, I was more than terrified to get my makeup done. I had the opportunity to work with Tara & JP twice! Once as bridesmaid and as a bride. I had phenomenal results each time. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Not only did they make me feel and look beautiful, Tara and JP made my bridesmaids and moms comfortable enough to just let them work their magic and they all looked so incredible. It didn’t matter how sweaty we got from dancing, all of our makeup lasted. Not only are these ladies talented, they are fun to be around which lessens wedding stress and you have a great time while getting ready. I highly recommend Underground Artistry!! ❤️ -

She was so friendly and professional, while still being extremely fun to work with. She did the makeup for most of my wedding party, and every single person felt and looked amazing!
