HIGHLY Recommend Uncommon Camellia for Wedding Coordination
We are local to New Orleans, and though we had most of our vendors locked down and a pretty clear idea of what we wanted for our wedding, we decided to hire Uncommon Camellia as our coordinator. It is one of the best decisions we made! Ashley was fantastic, meeting with us regularly to make sure she understood and could realize our vision, liaising with all of our vendors, mapping out an extremely detailed timeline so that nothing was forgotten or overlooked, making suggestions for small tweaks that would make the day even more special, and generally taking the stress of the six weeks leading up to the big day off our shoulders. It was such a relief to know that she and the Uncommon Camellia team were making sure everything went smoothly. On our actual wedding day, all we had to do was enjoy it and take everything in; Ashley and Krystle handled everything. I honestly don't think we could have done it without them. For anyone on the fence about whether to hire a coordinator, our advice is : do it, and hire Uncommon Camellia! There's no way you'll regret it. -

Personable, Detail-Oriented Day-Of Wedding Coordination
We are so happy we went with Uncommon Camellia for our day-of wedding coordinating needs! Mary Grace was an absolute joy to work with, and so patient with my many late night text messages. The questionnaire was extremely detailed, and I plan to frame the final version of our wedding day timeline. It is truly a work of art! We had a lot of different moving parts, and Mary Grace expertly navigated coordinating all of our vendors to ensure the vision was met. We also opted to have a bridal suite attendant for the wedding day as we were sleeping at our venue that night, and while it was nice to have someone pick up and stage food for the bridal party, I think ultimately we probably would have been okay without that addition as the majority of the "clean up" necessary was personal belongings being strewn about. Which is just hard for someone else to clean! Mary Grace made sure to send me a packing list the morning of the wedding to make sure I didn't forget any small detail items, and her team made sure the day progressed smoothly and we stayed on track. We had many guests comment on how well everything flowed! She made sure she understood what our priorities were for the day, and that we checked all of those boxes and got the photos we wanted. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was making sure our personal items (such as photos for a memorial altar) were safe, and even packed them up and delivered them to where we were staying at the end of the night. She was always ready to jump in and help with whatever we needed (even if what I needed was for her to help hold my skirts while I used the bathroom)! She was truly invaluable, and the value of the services provided cannot be overstated. She was also so easy to get along with, she effortlessly walked the line of being extremely professional while also being someone I'd love to be friends with. I knew we were in good hands with Mary Grace, and think the cost was well worth it! -

Highly recommend! Extraordinary care and attention to detail!
What an absolute joy it has been to work with Twana, Meredith, and Uncommon Camellia! We eagerly recommend any couple to work with Uncommon Camellia for their wedding. We began coordinating with Twana, our lead coordinator, a couple of months ahead of the Big Day. We arranged for her to be our 6-week out coordinator, and Twana was available for our questions and idea sound-boarding throughout the months leading up to the wedding. She gave excellent guidance on our wedding day schedule, suggestions of vendors, selections for our menu and layout of the reception and ceremony space, and answers to a countless number of questions we had. Twana's coordination magic really came into play when she acted as the main point of contact for all our vendors, arranged their timing, and kept all the components moving smoothly for both the rehearsal, the ceremony and the reception. Her trifold schedule was such a god-send! Twana laid out a well-organized schedule with the ability to adapt to slight changes on the day. She even demonstrated her magical weather control powers by ensuring we didn't have a drop of rain during the events of the day. We are truly grateful to Twana, our assistant coordinator Meredith, and Uncommon Camellia for making our Big Day in the Big Easy the experience of a lifetime! -

Spectacular
Torie and Kaycie were a dream come true. Torie was supportive, dedicated, and gave such a calm and comforting presence throughout the whole process. She was our personal fairy godmother! Granting wishes left and right! I had no stress on my shoulders because of how professional, diligent, and organized she was.
Kaycie was brilliant, as well! Attentive and hard working! She made sure the decor of the reception was put together even better than I could’ve imagined.
Highly recommend Uncommon Camellia to any couple :) -

Forever Grateful
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our Uncommon Camellia Coordinator Torie and her assistants Mary Grace and Alexis. They made our vision come to life and our wedding dreams come true. We had over 130 people in our backyard for the ceremony and reception so there were a lot of logistics to figure out. Torie was amazing at problem solving, getting creative and calming my nerves when I got overwhelmed. The wedding timeline alone deserves a whole separate set of 5 stars! Every single detail was thought of and executed perfectly by Torie and her team. They all worked so hard and were smiling the entire time despite the intense heat and humidity. My husband and I were able to enjoy the night with our family and friends, with Torie in charge we never wanted or needed for anything. We are eternally grateful and will never be able to say thank you enough! -

Shoutout to Maria and Tori!! I caved and hired a wedding coordinator LESS THAN 3 weeks before my wedding. The price I paid was for my piece of mind.
They are so worth it! THEY ARE GOLD.
Uncommon Camellia was recommended by Hailey, our Four Seasons sales representative. Prior to our consultation, my mindset was to cut costs and still very much on the fence about hiring help. The consultation was through a google meet. It was very professional, thorough with all important details discussed. After talking with Maria, I WAS SOLD. At $1,800, I forfeited.
Luckily, Maria was available on our date and due to our time crunch, she needed deposit and all the vendors’ contracts (I’ve already reserved) ASAP to get started. The very next day, she put gears into motion! The communication to vendors and myself was impeccable! A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and I no longer needed to stress about planning all. by. myself.
We met in person twice before the big day; once to show Maria around the Four Seasons— this was her canvas, where she would make a plan and twice, for the rehearsal. Maria was PHENOMENAL throughout the whole service from the first minute of meeting her. During the rehearsal, with authority, she instructed us on what to do and how to do, she gave us tips, and was very patient with our kids and silly family members. Her personality was endearing, so lively and full of smiles, had an answer or input for every question. You could tell she loves what she does by the confidence she carries.
If I were to do this again, I would’ve hired her earlier in the planning process. We love them and we’re so grateful for their flawless work! The day, of course, had a few minor issues, which was handled and I didn’t hear a thing until the days following. The wedding day ran smoothly and was more beautiful than I could’ve ever imagined! Truly perfect!!-

Best Money We Spent!
Best decision we made in our planning process was to pick Uncommon Camellia for day of coordination. We were blessed to receive Ashley Brien as our coordinator and I honestly cant brag on this woman enough. Ashley is so sweet, so detailed, so organized and just so incredible. She made sure to understand every single detail and vision I had for my big day and boy did she make it all come to life. We picked a location for our ceremony that had never been executed with the amount of ppl and in the way I had wanted. Ashley showed up to get it all sorted so perfectly with several moving pieces and parts even adding in a visual layout of how every detail would move so effortlessly. Her extremely detailed rehearsal and day of timeline was amazing and helped to make sure every vendor and person in our party knew where to be, when. In true Louisiana form our wedding day brought a rainy forecast right around our ceremony time but Ashley and Brianne made sure that everything went off without a hitch. I truly felt in the best hands and luckily for us, the weather held out just enough for our ceremony and pictures to be done just the way we had envisioned it. I cant thank Ashley and Brianne enough for their help with our big day, I know had it not been for them and their help I wouldnt have been able to be so relaxed and enjoy my day knowing every detail would be just the way I envisioned. -

Five Stars
Although being in the wedding industry myself, I did not quite understand the value of a day of coordinator. My venue recommended one, but I wasn't sure it was necessary. I spoke to the coordinator my venue recommended, who did not give much info. I decided to reach out to UC because I have done multiple weddings with them in the past. Ashley and I had our initial phone call where she explained, in detail, the value of her services. Immediately I was sold! Ashley is extremely detail oriented and made sure no stone was left unturned. Recently I have heard too many wedding nightmares, which makes me think back fondly on how smooth my day went. You won't regret hiring UC for the big day. Thanks UC for everything! -

Best Wedding Decision Ever
I'm organized and a planner by nature. So when I got engaged I didn't think I needed a coordinator except for the fact that I didn't want my mom and dad stressed on the big day. From my first meeting with Ashley Brien I knew I made the right choice to work a coordinator fee in to my budget.
Ashley was organized, insightful and used her experience to help shape the wedding experience my now husband and I wanted. She solved vendor issues, arranged tablescapes and is a logistical extraordinaire. But the best thing about her is I could feel that she was in our corner and truly cared about our happiness and experience. She focused on us so we could focus on enjoying ourselves.
Honestly, I do not think my day would have been nearly as good if not for Ashley and her assistant Mary Grace. My bridesmaids who are mostly already married were saying they wished they knew about her before their wedding and my parents and I kept saying, "Thank God for Ashley." -

The best ever! We had Laura and Tori and I swear, I would’ve been a mess without them. They are literally angels sent from heaven. The best bang for your buck when it comes to wedding planning! Ashley was so professional and attentive throughout our entire experience, so flexible and able to adapt as we changed our minds about this aspect or that aspect of the wedding or as we navigated planning a wedding during the pandemic! The rehearsal was so well run and helped my wife and I feel ready for the big day and so reassured that it would be go off without a hitch. Ashley has such a mind for the flow of an event and small suggestions went a long way towards making it the day we wanted to have. Cannot recommend highly enough! -

You can't plan a wedding without Alexis + Lia!!!
The moment my husband and I decided to plan our destination wedding in Nola, we truly had no idea where to begin. After coming across Uncommon Camellia, we were blessed to be paired with Alexis Nelson who helped instill the confidence we needed to plan our wedding in New Orleans the right way!
I cannot even begin to imagine what our wedding weekend would have been like without her and her assistant Lia by our side! Alexis made sure to support us through each and every one of our questions and needs and made sure to support us every second of our time from the rehearsal to the day of.

Ashley (and Dani!) did an outstanding job as our day of coordinator! We could not have asked for more. Ashley is very detail oriented, and helped all of our family and bridal party stay on track throughout the wedding day and during the rehearsal. Naomi Hill and her team (Lia & Tara) were AMAZING from start to finish. Naomi was extremely helpful in the time leading up to the wedding making sure that we had everything planned and every detail taken care of. Hire them right now!
Naomi and Adrienne were nothing short of perfection for our wedding on 4/2/22! I would 100% recommend Uncommon Camellia to anyone and everyone - especially anyone planning a New Orleans wedding from out of town (we live in Chicago).
We chose the month-of-coordination package and were originally assigned to work with Tori, but after a family conflict on Tori's end we were connected with Naomi. While I'm sure Tori would have been just as good, I am so grateful Naomi came into our lives.
Naomi's organization skills, calm demeanor and infectious energy make her the perfect planner. The best part of working with Uncommon Camellia is the insanely detailed day-of itinerary they put together for the bridal party and vendors. However, Naomi/Adrienne went above and beyond. We had some last minute logistical changes and Naomi handled with grace (while keeping me calm as I tend to stress/spiral) and she helped get the dance party started during our reception! We were lucky enough to have Adrienne, the company founder, as our assistant coordinator who literally pulled out a needle and thread to sew my dress/bustle when it broke before the first dances.
They both made sure I had no stress leading up to or on the day of our wedding and I would hire them again in an instant!! -

Uncommon Camellia - Alexis and Amelie Review
Where do we even begin?? Alexis Nelson was our wedding coordinator and she absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! We are an out of town couple, so it was crucial for us to have someone who could make great recommendations and help get everything finalized for our big weekend while we were not able to be in town to do it. She listened to all of our requests for how we wanted our wedding to be and went above and beyond to make the day stress free for us and go even better than we imagined! Our assistant coordinator, Amelie Pizza, was so attentive on the day of the wedding and was always right around the corner from us making sure we had anything we needed throughout the night! We can’t even put in to words how happy we are with both Alexis and Amelie for the weekend and couldn’t have imagined anyone better to get it all done! We cannot recommend them enough and had multiple family members come up to us saying how amazing both of them were and could see how much fun we were having because we had nothing to worry about! -

Amazing Experience with UC and Ashley!
My husband and I highly recommend Ashley Brien and the Uncommon Camellia team! We worked with Ashley as our coordinator for our destination wedding in New Orleans and additionally Alexis assisted on the day of. Ashley was amazing right from the start, super organized and very responsive. As we were planning from a distance, it was so nice to have a local wedding expert to ask questions and get recommendations from during the planning process. She shared some great tools - checklists, packing lists, tip guides. We used vendors she recommended and they were all awesome. When it got to the crunch time, Ashley took over vendor communication which was so so helpful in the craziness of the last few weeks. She came to the rehearsal with these amazing printed schedules for everyone. My dad was so impressed with her organization that he still brings this up! Day of, she and Alexis took care of so many things - setting up our Neon sign, setting out all our photos and decorations, and just making sure everything and everyone was in the exact right spot. I am so thankful I hired Uncommon Camellia for our wedding coordination. I was on the fence about whether or not I needed a wedding coordinator but I am beyond happy that I did. Essential & Amazing!
Alexis was my month-of coordinator and Brianne assisted on our day! I already had our vendors booked before I realized I needed someone who would be able to ensure everything went smoothly right before the wedding and on the actual day. Although we had a venue coordinator who was great, the venue coordinator wouldn’t be able to do everything Alexis and Brianne did for us!
From the moment we met Alexis, I knew she would be the perfect fit. She was incredibly organized and detailed, and I knew she would be able to ease my mind! I honestly don’t know how I would’ve had a smooth, carefree day without them. I even needed to book a tent days before our wedding and Alexis saved me and helped so much! I never had to worry before or during our wedding (and we had a unique day with 3 events to coordinate). Thank you Alexis and Brianne!! -

Amazing Services
WOW! I cannot even believe how smoothly all the details of our wedding went as planned thanks to Ashley. I was able to let it all go the night of and she took care of every single detail. I was so carefree thanks to her that I would have forgotten some of my “must-haves” if she weren’t there to make sure they happened just as we had planned. If I could pass on one single piece of advice to future brides in New Orleans, it would be to hire Amber at Uncommon Camellia to be your coordinator or planner. We were in awe of her organizational skills, professionalism, and positive upbeat energy throughout the entire process. As soon as I booked my venue, I knew that I would need to hire a coordinator to bring everything to life & boy did we hit the jackpot! From the first zoom call with Alexis, we both felt her positive energy and knew we were in good hands. A year of planning, emails, walkthroughs, changes/updates and I can honestly say that I arrived to my wedding with a sense of peace knowing that things were going to be okay. Not to mention the amazing planning tools we received- wedding monthly checklist, vendor recommendations, budget expense spreadsheet & even a packing list!
When the bar service we hired was a no show, Alexis immediately went to action helping us come up with a plan B calling vendors & re arranging things (even down to cutting lemons/limes for the bar herself). My entire family was singing her praises! I’m sure other things went wrong on wedding day, but I didn’t even notice & that’s how you know you are in good hands!
Alexis, I can’t say thank you enough for helping this bride bring her wedding vision to life. It was perfect.
Oh, and I can’t forget Torie B. As soon as she arrived on the day of the wedding she was fast at work, setting up our personal items, always checking in to see if I needed anything. Her smile and positive vibes were just what we needed.

One of the best decisions I made in wedding planning was hiring Uncommon Camellia! I worked with multiple people along the way in my two years of planning (thanks covid) but was paired with Naomi as my lead coordinator. Naomi was a dream from the start! She is very professional, responsive, kind and funny! She helped ease my worries and kept me calm when I got stressed. The way she handled all communication with my vendors leading up to the big day was amazing and all my vendors had great things to say about her. The timeline she created was so detailed and organized, perfect for my type A brain. For the big day, Naomi and Laura made my vision come to life and I can’t thank them enough! They were both so fun and great to work with and made us feel like we had nothing to worry about all day, which we didn’t. Best Money We Spent
It is not an understatement to say that choosing to hire Uncommon Camellia was the best money we spent in planning our wedding. Planning a wedding during a pandemic with all the complications and delays was incredibly stressful, and to have Alexis come in the month before and say "I've got it from here" brought literal tears to my eyes. And she truly did have it. Her wealth of knowledge, incredible organization, and friendly but get-it-done demeanor and communication with our vendors, wedding party, and families truly made all the difference in bringing our dream day to a reality. An Actual Must Have
I can't say enough how amazing Alexis was for us. She had absolutely everything covered to what time vendors showed up to wrangling the wedding party together for photos to even bandaids. (which i needed a lot of) Alexis was such a sweet person but she was also strict and knew she was there for the job. It was Epic!!!
Wow, it’s been two months and our wedding is still the talk around town! Covid-19, may have delayed our plans but, love can’t be cancelled. Our micro wedding’s vision of glitz and glam came to life with the help of Uncommon Camellia’s Alexis Nelson and Natalie Atkinson. So many guests continue to cite it as the best wedding they have ever attended - including our live stream guests!
Alexis’s enthusiasm, drive, and passion for weddings made us smile and we were sold from the start to have her lead our journey from Miss to Mrs. Over the next year, we stayed in touch with sharing details and vendor suggestions. Then Covid- 19 rsvp’d to our wedding and made us rethink everything from the location to the guest list. But, have no fear, Alexis was there to give us advice and supported us as we made Plan B, Plan B-2, Plan B-3, and later just called it Plan C. Finally, the day had arrived, and it was epic!!
From her organizational skills with having a detailed schedule to her absolute nailing of our vision. Everything was exactly as we had hoped, only better.
One of the best things about working with Alexis was her calming approach, which made meetings and vendor interactions feel fun and never stressful. People say your wedding day goes by in a flash, it did but it was memorable, and we were able to enjoy every moment. We partied like it was 1999..lol. My fiancé and I can’t say enough good things about Uncommon Camelia and Alexis specifically. We hired Alexis for day of planning and the wedding coordination package. The value is incredible. Ultimately, because of COVID, we decided to not get married in Nola (it would have been a destination wedding for us). Alexis still presented us our wedding coordination materials, dedicated 2 hours to us to walk through it all and was so friendly and amazing the whole time. Peace of mind for party time
Booking Uncommon Camellia was the best decision that I made for my Leap Day wedding! When I met Ashley in May 2019, she was friendly, prompt, and organized; I knew without a doubt I would use UC day of wedding coordination. As a UC bride, you get so much more than just day of assistance; I handed the reins over to Ashley about six weeks before the wedding and it gave me such peace of mind leading up to the big day. Ashley and Natalie were phenomenal the day of the wedding; my family still talks about how great they were even a month later. During my reception, I didn’t have a care in the world and was able to celebrate with all my loved ones. It was an amazing party! Ashley and Natalie made sure all events: cake cutting, tosses, etc. happened on time and even delivered all of our belongings home after the reception, while we secondlined to the after-party. Many of my guests say it’s the best wedding they’ve attended and without Uncommon Camellia, I would not have enjoyed the wedding as much as they did. However, my husband and I had a blast! Exceptional planning and coordination!!!
Hiring Amber W. as our Lead Coordinator from Uncommon Camellia was the absolute best decision I made when planning my wedding!!! It allowed me the time to focus on the details and decor that I created for my wedding. The Uncommon Camellia questionnaire was extremely thorough and was a great way to communicate all of the details I had in my head. They think of everything, and the best part is you hand over all of that important information to them and they to them execute it gracefully. I bonded with Amber very quickly after realizing her cool-calm nature was in sync with my calm easy going personality. I planned my entire wedding myself therefor in the weeks leading up to the wedding it became stressful to keep track of all of my vendors and contracts. This is where Amber excelled, we were in constant communication the month before the wedding and would even send me reminder texts of tasks I needed to accomplish. She brought me so much peace on my wedding day, she handled every situation of such ease and grace. Her assistant coordinators Maria and Ashley did an excellent job at the ceremony and reception as well. Both my hubby Brandon and I are very forgetful and usually always late, Amber quickly learned this about us and even sent Brandon a reminder text on the day of the wedding reminding him to bring his wedding ring. And guess what, Brandon had forgotten the ring and ran back home to get it before arriving.. that right there is exceptional service. -

Working with Uncommon Camellia was an amazing experience, and booking them should be one of the first things you do in your wedding planning! Ashley and Maria were so amazing to work with and went above and beyond our expectations! Ashley was always there to help support me while I planned our wedding. Anytime I needed a vendor suggestion, or just someone to bounce an idea of off, she was there. We also ran into a situation where I had to let go of a vendor two weeks before the wedding. Before I even asked, Ashley was on it and had a back up plan lined up for when we were ready to re-book. She literally saved the day and turned a potential stressful situation into a tiny bump in the road!
Leading up to the wedding, the team helped pull together a detailed timeline of all activities happening during the day including each individual's role. They literally thought of everything - there were SO many little details that I would have never thought of myself. Our vendors and wedding party LOVED the timeline and raved about it (even the groomsmen were obsessed). On the day of the wedding, Ashley and Maria were there every step of the way and made the entire day, ceremony and reception just perfect.
I honestly do not know how I would have gotten through the wedding without them! I was so impressed with Ashley and Maria’s attention to detail and level of professionalism. I had the pleasure of working with Janet and Amber during my wedding at Peter and Paul in December - if I could rate them both 10 starts I would. I ended up having to plan the wedding from Miami and Janet was an absolute godsend in helping us coordinate remotely. Peter and Paul is a new venue in New Orleans so there were inevitably some kinks - Janet and Amber handled everything from ensuring our second line went on without a hitch and even going so far to overnighting my bouquet the day after my wedding so I could leave for my honeymoon without having to go to UPS. I can’t recommend Ashley more strongly – she is an outstanding wedding planner. We had a ton of special requests and Ashley didn’t miss a beat! Given that our wedding was small, any omission would have been glaringly obvious but there was no need to worry. Between her exquisitely detailed pre-planning, her coordination of all the wedding vendors, and her command of the fine details, I had the wedding I always dreamed of. Ashley has a remarkable aptitude for planning; she translated my vision into an intimate, sophisticated (and fun!) affair. She was a pro through and through. And it was not just the big things that she did, but also the little things …like returning our personal items to the hotel after the wedding and distributing gratuities. She was exceptionally responsive and easy to work with-so much so that many of our guests commented on how pleasant and professional she was. She was also capably assisted by Natalie who helped get our guests on the right shuttle at the right time, as well as assisting Ashley with the site and vendor management. Dream Team!!!
Our month of wedding coordinator, Natalie was simply amazing. We had been planning our dream destination wedding at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans from San Francisco and needed someone to help put all the pieces together.
Fortunately, during our research, we stumbled upon Uncommon Camellia and immediately introduced to her as our lead wedding coordinator.
Natalie and the entire coordination team executed our entire wedding weekend seamlessly. From helping with the rehearsal, to finalizing details with our vendors, helping pick up supplies and offloading equipment, to ensuring the ceremony and decor were properly set up and up to par. She was a Wonder Woman!

We used Uncommon Camellia (specifically Amelia Jeanmarie) as our day of coordinator at the recommendation of our Photographer. I was getting ready to sign on with another day of coordinator when my photographer recommended UC (she said they were the best in the business and strongly recommended I check them out prior to signing with anyone else), and I am SO happy that I found them before signing on with another company. I can't imagine anyone else doing a more thorough or more perfect job than Amelia and her team. Hiring her was one the best and most important decisions surrounding my wedding day, in my opinion. Her level of organization and thoroughness is incredible. We spoke via email and on the phone a couple of months prior to the wedding and she went over the process with me. She made herself available for any questions or concerns I had during the planning process, inviting me to contact her as needed. In the couple of weeks prior to our wedding, we began communicating more and she assisted me with ensuring all of our vendors were on the same page, everyone was good on payment, confirmed everything. There was so much to do during this time and I couldn't have done it all without her. We are from out of town (NY) so having someone local to assist with stuff was particularly invaluable for us. The week of the wedding, once my fiance and I had arrived in town, we did our walkthrough with Amelia at our reception venue. She took meticulous notes to ensure that everything at the reception (decor, cakes, bars, favors, etc. etc) would be set up to our exact specifications. My bridal party and family also adored her. She was super helpful and sooo on top of her stuff but at the same time she was extremely calm, laid back, and collected at all times. She had a calming presence about her that put me at ease during the rehearsal and throughout my wedding day. The super organized timeline that she created for us was amazing and all of my bridal party referenced it throughout the day. I honestly can't say it enough, I have no idea what we would have done without her. It was so nice not to have to worry about the details (and I didn't have to delegate to a friend or family member) and we were able to enjoy every moment of our day. In addition on our wedding day she had 2 assistants with her, who were equally as friendly and helpful. They all seemed very invested in ensuring that I had the best day ever (and I DID!). Like I said, hiring Amelia and Uncommon Camelia was the single best decision I made surrounding my wedding, I think. It was worth every penny and I would highly recommend anyone who is getting married to hire a DOC (unless of course you are lucky enough to afford a full wedding planner, though personally I enjoyed doing the planning parts myself), and when choosing a DOC or wedding planner I would say do your research, ask around, and you will soon see that UC's expertise and professionalism makes them the clear choice, hands down. Every bride needs UC!
Best decision ever.
I didn't want a wedding coordinator originally - I thought I could handle the organization myself and save on the expense. I was wrong.
Uncommon Camellia came to my rescue and made the whole wedding planning process infinitely more enjoyable. I don't think our special day would have run as smoothly without the expertise and caring demonstrated at every turn by Ashley Brien and her assistant, Gabrielle. The wedding day itself was pure bliss, but the lead up was also exciting because Ashley took the time to brainstorm and nut out details with me. I cannot recommend Ashley and Uncommon Camellia highly enough. Every bride needs UC - there is no question about it! -

Best decision we made for the entire wedding!
We were referred to Uncommon Camellia by our vendor and we can't leave enough stars for what an incredible job Natalie did! Everyone always tells you how stressful weddings are, but we had not one ounce of stress the entire day of the wedding, largely due to the effort Natalie put into making it happen. She took over all of the vendor communication and details at about 6 weeks out, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from that point on. She created an amazing layout that catered to our wishes, and helped us figure out incredibly important details that could have tripped us up if we were on our own. There wasn't one point in the day where any of us needed something and had to go look for it, Natalie and her assistant Amber were on top of it all. Our guests and wedding party were amazed at the ease with which the entire process occurred and of what a happy and calm presence Natalie was. I truly can't thank Uncommon Camellia, and especially Natalie and Amber, enough. You helped make our wedding more than a wedding - we had a fairy tale day that we will remember the rest of our lives! -

We have nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say about Janet and the Uncommon Camellia crew! Janet had a lot of wisdom to impart on us given that this was our first wedding. She gave us a lot of things to consider, laid out a timeline and went above and beyond her "day-of" duties. Amelie and Alexis were unbelievable during our wedding! Leading up to the event, they developed a comprehensive timeline of events for the wedding and kept it updated through various changes. They also communicated with all of our vendors to ensure they had the most up-to-date information. During the wedding day, Amelie and Alexis constantly made sure that events were running smoothly and were able to find solutions to unexpected challenges as they arose. On top of that, they went the extra mile by helping to transport so many things to and from our venues that would have made logistics a nightmare for us if not. All in all, they really came through for us to make our wedding the best day of our lives and we highly recommend them! -

I hired the uncommon camellia for my wedding in June 2019, and I knew that I was in good hands from the start.
I had a 300 person wedding, a large wedding party, and had the bride and groom sides getting ready in separate locations. Needless to say, there was a lot that needed to be coordinated on top of our work and medical school schedules.
Heather, my coordinator, was incredibly organized and had the most positive attitude. She was open to all of my ideas, always available via text, helped me find the right vendors for the glow items and cups, and solved problems as they came up. There was nothing she wasn’t willing to do.
In terms of their services, I liked how I was not bombarded with phone calls or meetings. There were only a few calls and one coordination form to fill out! She updated me with emails and texts along the way, which was perfect for my schedule. Additionally, Each member of my wedding party had a timeline highlighted with their specific times. This saved me from sending so many emails and texts.
My day of coordination went seamlessly, my guests had the best time, and both sets of parents enjoyed having heather and her assistant around. I would hire them in a heartbeat over again! -

Uncommon Camellia is FANTASTIC
I thought I could handle most wedding coordination being very organized and Type A but when it came down to the last few months, I decided day of coordination would make the whole day less stressful. It was THE BEST decision ever. All family and friends could enjoy the day so much more with Uncommon Camellia handling all of the logistics. Natalie was our lead day of coordinator. Natalie was so accommodating and helpful in every way possible. While I didn't get a chance to talk to the assistants, Courtney and Alexis, too much, I know they were critical in allowing the reception to run smoothly. Highly highly recommend! -

Couldn't have done it without them
I worked with Natalie from Uncommon Camellia for Wedding coordination and i think it was one of the best choices i made, she was consistent, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Natalie made sure i had all the resources that i needed and knew what to say when i needed help or reassurance. She was always quick to respond to emails, texts and calls. She knew exactly what to do when our tent was placed in the yard incorrectly, and came up with a solution that turned out amazing. She coordinated our rehearsal and told each person exactly what to do and when to show up. Then on the day of the wedding EVERYTHING went PERFECTLY. She was assisted by Amelia on the day of and they both made it the best day of my life! Are there more stars I can give? Seriously. Because I only wish I had more time with Natalie and Angela. Natalie was a dream come true. My husband and I planned our New Orleans, LA Wedding from NYC. We only made one trip down to do over 12 vendor meetings/visits and Natalie was one of those. Immediately we both loved her.
I have to say that I was extremely anxious about most aspected of planning, as to be expected, but the coordinator portion even more-so because it meant releasing control of everything I'd put together up to that point. I researched so many coordinators. SO many. Everyone was insanely expensive for basically doing no work...why would I be paying someone $5500 to do all the work I already did?! Then I stumbled upon Uncommon Camellia. I read a few reviews and we booked an appointment to meet someone...no preference, we didn't know them anyway.
When Natalie came in to Mojo Coffee last November with her folder and subway map timeline and made fun of my then fiance for wanting to put champagne in a plastic cup I about cried with joy. This was our girl.
She and Angela handled EVERYTHING with ease. It all happened so perfectly on 5/5/19 I didn't even realize stuff happened. Even people I didn't want around me ;)
I cannot say enough positive things about these women. They are smart, sassy and know their stuff. Book them fast before their calendars fill and you're SOL. If I could do it all over again I would book them 100% every time. -

Great experience with Natalie and Rebecca
I had a great experience working with Natalie and Rebecca for my New Orleans wedding on April 6, 2019. Natalie was my lead coordinator, and from the start of the process she demonstrated excellent attention to detail and provided helpful tips based on her experience. She is personable and responsive, and I felt like my wedding would be in good hands.
Natalie did a great job confirming my vendor details and coordinating the rehearsal for my Catholic church ceremony. When I arrived at the venue on the wedding day, Natalie and Rebecca had set it up beautifully and exactly as I had envisioned. Natalie seemed to anticipate every need my husband and I had that day, and was always close by for anything that came up. I would definitely recommend Uncommon Camelia, and Natalie and Rebecca specifically, to other Louisiana brides. -

AMAZING!!! You need to book Uncommon Camellia now for your month-of wedding coordination! I truly do not know what I would've done without Amelie and her assistant, Janet! About a month before the wedding, Amelie took over communications with all my vendors so I wasn't flooded with emails, which I appreciated since there was so much to be done leading up to the wedding day. She was always responsive to my emails and texts and asking if there was anything else I needed. And she came up with a detailed timeline for the vendors, wedding party, and myself to use on the day so we were all on the same page. (Yall, you need to see this thing, it's beyond helpful!) The day before the wedding, my fiancé and I had to change the format of our ceremony, which was really going to impact our timeline of events for the evening; but Amelie didn't skip a beat! She immediately had alternative timelines to present to us, communicated this change to all the vendors, and made the whole day run smoothly despite the last minute hiccup. Having Amelie and Janet on the day of the wedding took SO much stress and worry away (and boy am I a worrier, lol) so I was able live in the moment and enjoy myself!! Natalie and Ashley were just amazing! I wasn't sure I needed to hire a planner, but when I spoke with Natalie there was no question about needing/wanting a planner. can not say enough about Amelie.
I do not want to know how our wedding would've been without her. We hired Uncommon Camellia for Day of Coordinator. 6 weeks prior to our wedding date Amelie reached out for timeline and vendor information and immediately I felt a weight lift off of my shoulders. She was so pleasant and organized. She asked all the right questions and really made me feel at ease throughout the entire process. Leading up to the wedding, Amelie and I were in steady contact. The day of timeline was incredible, leaving no detail out. They seriously think of everything!
The day of, we also had a chance to meet and work with Ashley. Both Amelie and Ashley took all of our DIY setups like champions. They were there to make every little thing go as smoothly as possible with smiles on their faces. I really wish I could convey exactly all they did for us in words. Every little thing was so perfect thanks to their orchestrating and we can not thank them enough for all the work they did with our vendors, families, and us on our wedding day.
To Amelie and Ashley, thank you for being so incredible. You both helped to make my day, from getting ready to leaving our venue, so insanely wonderful and your presence alone kept me so calm and sane. You truly brought my year of planning to life and it was so much more than I ever thought it could be. YOU ARE THE BEST.
I would highly recommend these ladies to absolutely anyone. This was easily the best money we spent during wedding planning and was the reason our wedding day so incredibly perfect. -

Janet and Angela from Uncommon Camellia are amazing! From planning a minute by minute timeline for our big day to putting on their florist hats and switching hideous green flowers to white roses in my bridesmaids bouquets at the last minute. Everything was taken care of for us. Even when random issues popped up they handled them perfectly with minimal effort on my part which realzived so much stress from my mom and I. A few family members questioned us about getting day of coordinators, but as our perfect day wrapped up everyone was amazed at how efficiently everything was run and how beautiful everything looked. One of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Uncommon Camellia and working with Heather. Worth every damn penny (and they're very affordable compared to many). I think we booked for day or week of services but we got so. much. more! We were planning from Chicago and Heather joined us during our venue walkthru back in July so she could meet us. It ended up being more than just a meet and greet and she was so helpful that day. We were juggling a lot of stress, many (MANY) family dynamics and planning from a distance but Heather took it all in stride, kept us (re: me) calm and made the day a big success. With her and Dawn on the scene, we were able to relax. Starting Thursday evening, we were able to answer most questions/requests from bridal party and family with "ask Heather". We were really able to be present on the day-of because Heather and Dawn took care of it all and made the fun, laid-back day we had envisioned into a reality. They embraced everything we wanted to do! My husband is of few words when it comes to anything wedding related but he raved about how great Heather was. Probably because she made sure that we had alone time which is key to a successful day when you're marrying an introvert. TOTAL ROCKSTARS. Do yourself a favor and hire them. -

Best decision we made!
I was planning our New Orleans destinmation wedding from our home in NYC. My hsuband and I had a long engagement, so we had two years of planning. We got towards the end of planning, and withou about three months to go I had a massive panic attack and just couldnt do it on my own anymore. My husband calmed me down and told me to find someone I'd feel comfortable working with and go from there. I searched on the wedding sites and within abiout an hour of looking came across Uncommon Camellia. I was contacted by Heather, she immediately made me feel at ease with a quick call and I hired her as my coordinator that same week. I, in all honesty, could not have pulled off our wedding without her and Dawn. Heather was a dream, a true life saver when I was drowning in a sea of planning without really knowing how to swim.
I had most of the planning taken care of, so I handed over my almost two years of work to her, and finally breathed a sign of relief. I knew our wedding was in excellent hands and boy was I right. People are still talking about our magical fairy tale wedding.
Heather went above and beyond for us, she even let me mail my MOHs dress to her when we realized it wouldn't ship to NY in time. During our phone calls and meetings the week of the wedding, she continued to calm me down and keep me positive. We held a rehersal the evening before the wedding and i remember thinking "thank God I have Heather" and my mom turned to me, her eyebrows furrowed and said "Candace...I love you, and your amazing, but you couldn't not have done this without her, thank God you found her." I laughed and told her i had been thinking the exact same thing.
I was running behind getting ready on the morning of the wedding, and there was a few things I hadn't gotten around to doing before the wedding, and while i was being a bridezilla/ chicken with it's head cut off, she brought me back to reality and calmed my frayed nerves, gathered all my unfinished tasks and took them from me and somehow, magically made them come to fruition. Not only was she a pseudo therapist for me, Heather, Dawn and the team of the Bourbon Orleans Hotel (where we were married) transformed our ceremony and reception space into the most beautiful, magical, romantic space. When I finally saw the space I almost cried because it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, took my breath away. Heather and Dawn were amazing during the reception as well, helping my mom bsutle my duress, getting us our drinks, making sure we ate, making the party flow perfectley, and keepiung us calm all the while. I kept telling them, but I relly couldnt have done it without them and I am forever thankful and grateful that they were there with me to make our big day the best of our lives and better than the wedding of our dreams. There is so much more to say, so many more songs of praise, but I'll leave this here so that every prospective bride that might be struggling with planning, or is simply looking for a planner/coordinator from day one, reads this can rest assured that with Uncommon Camellia and with Heather and Dawn that your day will not only be the best of you life, but better than you could have ever imagined. -

Choosing Amelie and Uncommon Camellia for our day-of wedding coordination was the SINGLE BEST wedding decision we made during our planning process. Words cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Amelie is, but I will try to summarize it in this review. She is extremely responsive, organized, punctual, detail-oriented, professional, positive, sweet, and she knows her stuff! She thought of details and had plans for things I never even knew I had to think about. A month before the wedding, Amelie took over all communications with the vendors and always kept us in the loop of updates and changes; she took away all the stress that comes with dealing with multiple vendors. She was on top of every detail and I never once worried that she missed anything. She promptly answered every email/text/call we sent her, no matter the day of week or time of day. She addressed every single concerned we had during the planning process and even post wedding. We were worried about rain and she helped us come up with not one, but two different rain plans. We wanted to change the Second Line parade route the day before the wedding - I know, sounds impossible with the permits and police escorts - but she made it happen! There were some complications the day of the wedding, but she handled it without us or any of the guests knowing about it. She took all the stress away and allowed us to enjoy the wedding to its fullest potential. Amelie was such a joy to work with and I cannot imagine pulling off our wedding without her. She really went above and beyond to make our wedding flawless. I don’t know how else to praise her, but if I did, I would! Don’t make the mistake of not hiring Amelie for your wedding coordination! -

Natalie and her team were tremendously helpful in the planning stages and absolutely fantastic when it came to execution. Their attention to detail and thoughtful suggestions made all the difference, and they were outstanding to work with! Uncommon Camellia helped us pull off a true dream wedding, even though I was a super lazy bride who had to be nudged about a million times to do things and make decisions... and Natalie had such patience with me! :) I highly recommend. -

My husband and I cannot say enough about just how amazing Heather and Janet were at our wedding. We got married on August 25, 2018 at Audubon Park. I had a general idea for our wedding and Heather made it a beautiful reality. I tend to be a pretty organized person and I was absolutely blown away by Heather’s level of organization with our day of timeline. She assured that our entire day ran smoothly and was more beautiful than I even imagined. Thanks to all of their hard work we were able to have a fun and relaxing wedding day, which was my number one wish for our wedding. We've told so many people that booking Uncommon Camellia was the absolute BEST decision we made when planning our wedding. Six weeks up until the wedding I worked with our wedding coordinator Amélie, who is hands down one of the calmest, sweetest, and most organized people I've ever met. She asked me the questions I didn't know I needed to answer, and made sure the weeks up until the wedding everything was scheduled and every vendor knew what they needed to do and when. When a furniture rental layout disaster became apparent a week before the wedding, she took action immediately and helped me navigate through it. She had everything documented in a wedding timeline that all of my other vendors used, and her and Natalie were incredibly helpful on the day of, making sure I knew where I needed to be and when - same with my husband, my family, everyone. All of the tiny details that I was terrified were going to get overlooked were top of mind for them. I've already recommended Amélie and Uncommon Camellia to my best friend getting married, and she's already booked them too! -

Adrienne and the rest of The Uncommon Camelia are amazing!
We used The Uncommon Camelia’s services for our May 5th wedding in New Orleans. Adrienne worked with us and she was wonderful from start to finish! Even though we only contracted with Adrienne for "day-of coordination", Adrienne made sure to check in on us throughout the entire planning process, really kicking it into high gear a month before our big day. We live out of town, so it was sometimes difficult to get things done, but whenever we were in town Adrienne made time to get together with us. She gathered vendor contact info and made sure they were in the loop with drop - off / pick-up times and she created a very thorough timeline for the main event that was constantly updated, even after all our last minute changes.
To be very honest, I had a lot of anxiety during this entire wedding planning process, so much so that my husband (still have to get used to using that title lol) did a lot of the communicating with Adrienne. However, once Adrienne stepped in to help with the last leg of the planning, my anxiety dropped dramatically. She ran a tight ship but has such a sweet demeanor. She (likely unbeknownst to her) helped keep me sane. When asked “how was the wedding? Did everything go as planned”, I can honestly say everything was perfect and Adrienne had a huge hand in that! -

Our Daughter was married on March 24, 2018 (in Madisonville) and she chose Uncommon Camellia as her “Day of Wedding Coordinator”. We met with Ashley and we knew right away that she was the perfect person to work with us. She was easy to communicate with, very thorough and her “day of wedding timeline” was detailed and precise. She was awesome! On the wedding day, Janet was assigned to assist the wedding party while Ashley prepared the venue and met with all the vendors. We loved Janet too!
I could go on and on about all the things they did, and they did ALOT, but what impressed me most was that these two ladies took such good care of my Daughter and her Husband on their wedding day and they carried out my Daughter’s vision for her wedding to perfection. I can’t thank them enough!
Planning a wedding? Reduce your stress and do yourself a huge favor; consult with them, and then secure their services. It’s one of the best decisions we made. My Husband and I were able focus on our Daughter, share in her happiness and celebrate the day with family and friends because Ashley and Janet took care of the rest.

Words cannot describe how amazing Adrienne and Heather were at our wedding. My husband and I really wanted to have our wedding in New Orleans and we knew, with it being a destination wedding, we were going to need a day of coordinator to help out with everything. Adrienne was fantastic from the start. When we visited New Orleans prior to our wedding, she met with us to go over every detail and then about a month away from the big day, she took over the logistics of everything. She had a FANTASTIC timeline that had every detail, down to the minute, where she factored in every vendor, every wedding party member, and every family member involved in our big day. Seeing that took a lot of the stress off of us and we were able to enjoy the last few weeks before our wedding. When the day arrived we were so at ease knowing she and Heather were handling everything. Our entire wedding was stress-free…because they were on top of every last detail! I will happily recommend them to do anyone for their wedding! -

Hiring Adrienne was the best decision we made when planning our wedding! She met with us and really listened to what our vision was for the event, then she took over and made that vision become a reality. She is so dependable and detail-oriented. She coordinated with our venue and all of our vendors to make sure we weren't forgetting anything. Then she and Patricia went above and beyond to set up everything so perfectly and kept everyone on track throughout the day and evening. Adrienne and Janet (her assistant) were absolutely wonderful to work with during the wedding day! They could easily charge twice as much and be worth every penny! Leading up to the wedding, Adrienne met with us in person and corresponded regularly via phone and email. She was always super prompt and pleasant. She compiled all the vendor contracts and coordinated arrivals for the day of the wedding with each vendor. She put together a wedding day timeline, which started with hair and makeup, all the way through the very end of the evening. This timeline included the schedule for the wedding party, along with the vendor arrivals. All important contact information (phone numbers, emails) was kept here as well. I cannot stress how useful this was for preparing everyone for the big day, as well as keeping everything running smoothly the wedding day itself! And the wedding day went perfectly! There were no major (or minor) issues, and I know a primary reason for this was having Adrienne and Janet there to move everything along according to plan. Finally, they were both super pleasant to work with – always prepared and positive – which made what could be a stressful and hectic day feel the opposite! I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about working with a coordinator the day of the wedding. And if you aren’t considering hiring a wedding day coordinator, you should reconsider – it alleviates a huge amount stress and allows you to focus on what is important.

Naomi helped us with our destination wedding in New Orleans, and it was such a good decision. She was so warm, helpful, enthusiastic, and professional right from the jump. Our wedding came together and was executed without a hitch, and every had a great time. Best of all, nobody felt rushed or stressed the day of. I was a serene bride just soaking in the day.

Heather with Uncommon Camellia is absolutely amazing! I had her for about 6 weeks out from the wedding date! She was a complete life saver! She had my back and supported me when tensions ran high; she made it her main goal that I was not stressed before the big day. She took all my plans coordinated them, nailed down the small details (that I no longer had the patience for), and ran it like a boss! The day of the wedding I was able to sit back, relax, and enjoy it! If you don't have a month of planner yet, I would highly recommend getting one from Uncommon Camellia! -

Couldn't have done it without them
We worked with Natalie and really loved her from our first meeting. She had a great, organized portfolio to show us and was exactly what we were looking for. We knew we would be doing most of the planning ourselves but would want someone a few weeks out and day of to coordinate everything. It was a little difficult to let go of control as we got closer and we were a little nervous things weren't getting done, but of course they were- just behind the scenes! Natalie handled everything like a pro, including the torrential rain storm that hit us when we were about to take photos before our ceremony. There was also a slight hiccup with the band starting on time that she navigated perfectly. Natalie and her assistant Becca were great to work with and really made our day come together! -
