When my husband and I first started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to be a small group in Yosemite, but we still needed help with all the details. We hadn’t been to Yosemite before together, so we knew nothing about vendors/best locations/timing. Allison was so thorough, communicative, and caring. She called us within like a day of filling out her intake form, and really listened to what we wanted. She clearly put so much effort into making the whole day feel like “us.” She made us a whole timeline, organization of the types of photos we wanted, and locations for our first look and post-wedding adventure hike! On the day of our wedding, she was so upbeat, kind, and made sure to capture all the little details and sentimental aspects of our relationship. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and it means the world to have had someone as cool, professional, and caring to be our wedding planner and photographer. 10000000% recommend!! -

Allison was amazing!! Even before the wedding, she was so good at sending updates and helpful reminders leading up to the day. We got married at Glacier National Park and she was so knowledgable about all the best places. It was even extra challenging with heavy fog and some rain. But Allison was great at finding the best epic spots and angles, not to mention quelling my worry about the weather. And she was shooting with 2 cameras while on horseback! She was the absolute best from start to finish. Reach out if you're ever in NW Arkansas! -

Looking back on our wedding day, I can’t imagine it without Uncharted Elopements. They were our coordinator, planner, photographer, videographer, and tattoo artist — but even more than that, they were the reason the day felt effortless and perfect.
From the very beginning, Allison was a calming, reassuring presence. She answered my texts almost instantly, always knew the right thing to say to ease my mind, and made us feel like no request was too big. Changing our ceremony location the night before would have been a nightmare with anyone else, but she handled it seamlessly and made me feel excited about the change rather than anxious. She’s the type of person who sees your vision and runs with it — making it even better than you imagined.
Matt’s creativity blew us away. We met with him several times before the wedding for tattoos, and he created custom sketches until they were exactly what we wanted. On the wedding day, he brought so much joy to the videography process. He had us record our vows beforehand and guided us through interview questions that left us both in happy tears. I know when we get our video, it will feel like reliving the most authentic version of our day — not staged, not forced, just us.
Our family kept telling us how impressed they were with the team, how smoothly everything went, and how genuine Allison and Matt were. They weren’t just vendors; they felt like friends celebrating alongside us. If we could relive our wedding over and over, we would choose Uncharted Elopements every single time without hesitation. -

If I could rate more than a 5/5 I would! When planning our secret elopement we wanted to go to a place that was on both of our bucket lists that we wouldn't usually visit with our very young children. We each made a list of about 10 places and from there we narrowed it down to 3.
Being the planner I am I immediately started looking for photographers out West to help us narrow our location down from our top 3 to our final decision. After seeing a few different photographers work and the views and activities available in Moab we finally decided on our location. I set up 5 phone calls for the week with different photographers in hopes we'd find the perfect one. Our second phone call was with Allison and from there I knew I could immediately cancel the 3 remaining calls.
She checked off all of the boxes on what we were looking for. She was down (and very excited) for taking 2 am photos under the stars following our wedding day coverage and didn't even bat an eye about not getting to sleep at all. She also made our dream come true of wedding band tattoo photo coverage, as well as getting our tattoos done onsight at our ceremony spot by her amazing fiancee.
Upon meeting her in person it felt like we had known her forever. There was no awkwardness that most people worry about and she's extremely kind and funny! Our experience with her left us with the most stunning pictures that we have not stopped staring at since getting them back. She was extremely knowledgable about beautiful and off the path locations for our ceremony and I am forever thankful for that. There was no stress with planning as she also provides the timeline for the day. It was so nice to just get to focus on packing, travel, and lodging and following her lead from there. When we did need something her communication was excellent and she always had extremely helpful suggestions.
I could not say enough amazing things about her but I will include some of our mind-blowing photos so you can see for yourselves how incredible she is. -

Engagement Session
I chose Uncharted Elopements for my engagement pictures and they did not disappoint! My fiancé and I are from NOLA, so we traveled all the way to Phoenix to get photos of us in the desert and mountains. I was super anxious about traveling so far and to basically the middle of nowhere, but Allison and Abby were happy to jump on a call with me beforehand and answer my fifty'leven thousand questions. Abby conducted the shoot itself, and it was very clear she knew what she was doing and was experienced shooting in the area. She directed our poses, hyped us up, and even carried my bag with an extra pair of shoes around! She was super patient & friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable and fun for us. As for the photos, they turned out AMAZING! Allison delivered over 200 of them to us & they all capture our love to the fullest. I have been dropping these in every group chat. 100000/10 recommend Uncharted Elopements! -

By far the best decision when it came to our wedding (other than marrying my husband of course) was hiring Allison as our photographer! She took most of the stress we all know and love when planning our special day away because she is there every step of the way to help you plan and make sure the day of runs smoothly. On top of that she made all of my bride dreams come true with this epic day and these photos she captured. I have so many that I love it’s so hard to choose which ones to display in our home and I love that! Allison and the Uncharted Elopement team were absolutely incredible. Not only did Allison help us identify the perfect ceremony location that could accommodate our family in Zion National Park, but she also helped us pick a beautiful sunset location to say our private vows, have our first dance and just take in our wedding day! Her planning support prior to the wedding day and general spirit and outgoing nature on our wedding day was exactly what we wanted to enjoy our elopement! A few days following our wedding, Allison sent over the most EPIC sneak peek pictures from our day!! We were completely blown away by the images she captured and honestly I did not know we could look as good as we did!! All our friends and family told us the pictures look straight out of a magazine and they aren't wrong! We absolutely made the best decision in hiring Allison and her team for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking to do something outside of tradition for their wedding :) -

Allison made planning our Maui elopement so much less stressful! Hawaii has very strict laws regarding photography and I felt 100% confident in her obtaining and following the laws so we could get our dream wedding location shoots. She also explained in detail to us what we needed to do and sent us a very informative book going over typical elopement packing/planning. At times she was more like a wedding planner giving us lots of information on photo spots around the island. She definitely went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked her help with. You can tell she has a lot of experience doing these kinds of fun wedding elopements. On the day of our wedding, she came prepared and on time. We had a big rainstorm the night before and she helped communicate a new plan for the day that would still give us everything we wanted. Hanging out with her during our wedding day felt like we were hanging out with a friend we had known for years! She would ask us genuine thought-provoking questions about the two of us and really emphasize that this was our day to do what we wanted. Not only is she super organized and easy to talk to but she's an incredible photographer! She took the time to tell the full story of our day not just the beautiful scenic pictures but the behind-the-scenes too. All our friends and family can't believe how gorgeous our wedding photos came back! I'm so glad we chose Allison to help us capture our wedding day. Thank you Allison -

Couldn’t Love Allison More!!!
Allison and her team were an absolute dream to work with. From the moment I contacted her, Allison was nothing but prompt, responsive, helpful, and just kind. She answered my unending stream of questions, and made planning our Arizona wedding from Virginia a very easy and enjoyable process! She was not only extremely flexible in the creation of our perfect day, but also offered suggestions and her expertise, which was always greatly appreciated. Besides being insanely talented and accomplished, the coolest thing about Allison is her genuine personality. She offered a fun yet organized presence on the day of our wedding, and made us feel at ease and as though we were just pals spending a perfect day together! I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude for the moments that were created and captured, but am eternally grateful for the images that we have to remember them by. We ended our day feeling completely fulfilled and enchanted by the pure magic and Allison and her team helped us create! -

I’ve known Allison since grade school. Although she eventually moved out of state, I’ve followed her along on social media and truly enjoyed watching her business grow. Before I met my husband and had no ambitions on getting married myself, I still found myself in awe looking at her photos.
Several months before my husband and I were engaged, I showed him her instagram page and he was genuinely impressed. Normally when I’d show him something wedding related… especially before we were engaged… he wasn’t interested. Can’t say I blame him.
Later on when we were (finally) engaged, we originally wanted to have a traditional wedding.
After a many weeks of no sleep and becoming very overwhelmed, we decided to put our plans on hold. Until…. I came across a breathtaking elopement photo Allison shared from Sedona. In that moment I decided that’s what we were doing. I told my husband and he obviously was all for it!
From the moment I reached out to Allison about doing our elopement, everything was such a breath of fresh air.
From locking down the location (Dolomites, Italy) to mapping everything out, she made things effortless and exciting. When we finally got together in person, she was professional but very easy going and fun to be around. She was creative when coming up with ways to make us laugh and not feel awkward for some of those more intimate shots. Although it was the three of us that day, she was also intentional about giving us moments where it felt like it really was just the two of us.
We recently got our entire album of photos and we are over the moon happy with them. Our family and friends have said they look like they belong in wedding magazines. The icing on the cake has been having those who originally were not in support of us eloping, turn around and say if they could go back in time, they would have done what we did…. ;)
Do NOT hesitate when it comes to choosing Allison as your photographer. You’ll walk away with an experience of a life time, and a new best friend. Thank you Allison. We miss you already! -

Allison is wonderful!
If you are interested in having an adventure elopement, look no further! Allison was so great to work with from start to finish. My husband and I both come from very traditional families, and it was really hard knowing that in “following our hearts”, we were disappointing our families. But at the end of the day, we are SO GLAD WE DID. Allison provided us with SO much helpful information and support throughout the whole process. You can tell she’s done this many times, in that she has a system and plan for everything. I remember reading her website and feeling like she really understood the experience of a couple choosing to elope. I also really loved the process of finding our location, answering questions about my partner and I, and feeling present and intentional about planning our day. I’ll never forget the feeling I had pulling up to our ceremony site, after the very remote and bumpy journey, like we were truly in the privacy of nature and in front of one of the most BEAUTIFUL VIEWS I’ve ever seen in my life. My partner and I looked at each other and said, “Yep, no regrets.” And I know that it would not have been possible without Allison. She is so warm, genuine, and strikes the perfect balance of taking charge and giving space. We are so happy with our photos and most importantly, the memories of our adventure. -

My [now] husband and I spent weeks trying to figure out how we wanted to say “I do.”
It was really important to us to make it true to who we are and really took time to plan our special day.
Long story short, we ended up having 3 special days. Our “legal” wedding day at our local courthouse, our elopement and exchanging of vows with Allison in Utah and then a wedding celebration with friends and family back home.
My husband and I spent hours scrolling and looking at options for a photographer that could capture our exchanging of vows with our families in Zion National Park.
We ended up landing on Allison Slater’s website and fell in love with her work.
From day 1 of reaching out to Allison for more info to receiving our entire photo gallery, it was such a interactive and unforgettable experience.
She was in constant communication with us from location selection to vendor recommendations, she covered it all in the time leading up to our elopement.
On our elopement day, Allison came to the AirBnb where I was getting ready, and I felt like we had known each other for forever.
She was so kind and personable. You could instantly tell that she is passionate about her work. She instantly put my nerves at ease and made sure our day played out exactly as we had planned.
We recently received our entire gallery and we are blown away.
Sharing our photos with our friends and family have made my heart so happy. She truly captured our day so that our memories will last a lifetime. -

Most amazing day ever...

After realizing our original wedding plans weren't going to happen here in Minnesota (thank you pandemic), we knew we wanted to elope in Arizona but didn't really know where to start. The idea of planning another entire wedding felt extremely overwhelming until we found Allison. She's not only a photographer, but a planner as well. She made planning so easy every step of the way while making sure our day was exactly what we were dreaming of. She made the entire process stress-free and took so much off our plate!
The day of was truly unbelievable thanks to Allison's planning. Allison was extremely organized, yet so laid back which made for the most blissful wedding day. Our parents both commented that it seemed like she was an old friend and we'd known her forever. We felt so comfortable in front of the camera and she truly captured the entire story of our day.
We travel often and always say "the pictures don't do it justice." Allison's photos are quite the opposite. She truly captured how absolutely magical our wedding day was. You can stop searching now for a wedding photographer. Our wedding day was a complete dream & we honestly have Allison to thank for that! Due to COVID we were forced to cancel our original wedding plans & we were feeling pretty crushed about that in the beginning; we felt nothing could compare to our original plans. In one phone conversation Allison restored our hope & excitement! She is the full package; so much more than a photographer. Allison helped us to create and envision our dream elopement wedding (which we would 100% do all over again!). She is very thorough and prompt in answering all of our questions. She is extremely professional & knowledgeable. Hiking up Zion with her and her husband (as our officiant) was great! Super friendly & easy going. She was just so sweet & so prepared for anything; one step ahead at all times. She was able to keep us on schedule the entire day & really kept the day centered around us. She came prepared with all the things that you could imagine you’d need & with all the things you could have forgotten. Your day is something she takes very seriously, as if it was her own wedding day. Most of all she was just completely there for us when we needed her. THE PHOTOS. They are breathtaking & have us speechless. We can’t even choose favorites because they’re just all our favorites. She is certainly gifted & gave us the most precious photos to remember our day with. Best Photographer Ever!
Allison is absolutely amazing. Like many COVID couples, we had to make several changes to our wedding plans, but Allison was ready to help and encourage us every step of the way. Even after we moved our wedding location across the U.S., she was happy to travel (safely, of course) for our intimate ceremony and assist us in finding the best photo locations from thousands of miles away. She has a genuine love and excitement for what she does and she made us feel so comfortable and happy on big our day. Oh my goodness, where to begin... Allison is one of the most amazing people either myself or my husband has ever worked with. She is genuinely passionate about what she does, and it shows in her work. Not only did she help us plan our big day, but she was always thinking ahead and coming up with questions that we hadn't even asked ourselves. The amount of research she did from day one of working with her was amazing. She was able to give us information not only on the park, but the surrounding area, and the best restaurants to eat at even though she was not from the area. Her drive and accountability were both characteristics of what we were looking for in a photographer, and she fit the bill perfectly. My husband and I would both highly recommend Allison for any photoshoot you can book her for. She guides you through the session and makes it feel so comfortable and effortless. My fiancé and I traveled from Florida to Sedona for our engagement photos with Allison. The whole process was seamless, which took the stress off our shoulders. You should hire Allison! When we were searching for a photographer we specifically sought out someone who could capture us and our happiness authentically. I was never a fan of super posed photos and then I came across Allison on the knot. She really took the time to listen and understood what I was looking for. The day we took our engagement photos Allison had some previews for us later that day which was such a nice surprise. I’m not comfortable in front of a camera but Allison really eased my anxieties and I love all of our photos. On our wedding day she was really good at politely wrangling my large bridal party and family to take care of all the shots on our list, and breezed through it so we didn’t have to miss much. Our day got rained in and we had to completely flip our plans upside down, she took the time to photoshop out a fan of every one of our ceremony photos which I would have never even expected. She’s just a lovely person and very prompt and professional! 10/10 love her! -

Going into the planning stages the number 1 item on the list were the photos and how they would be edited. We looked longer for a photographer than anything else haha. After finding your page, we fell in love and knew it was meant to be. After using you for our engagement photoshoot in Sedona, we were left in awe. You blew us away with your personality, and of course your work. We knew then that no matter where the wedding was going to be at, we were going to need you there.
Once we changed locations from AZ back to MO, we had to figure out a way in the budget to get you there. Because not having you was not an option. You were quick to respond and open to the travel. Made our planning easier and we knew the day would be great.
Now that we have our photos back and some time has passed. We realized how blessed we were to find you and have you be a huge part of our most special day. Also we gained a friend. We will definitely be using you again for future photoshoots.

Where do I even begin to explain how incredible Allison Slater is…
I remember when I first started looking at photographers for our elopement, I was randomly scrolling through Instagram and BAM!!! I saw Allisons page and I knew my search was over. It had all the right feels from the warm glowy lighting to the authentic moments she captured. I knew we had to have her! The first telephone conversation we had with her was so much fun and sealed the deal, we absolutely fell in love with Allison.
She photographed my now husband and I’s engagement pictures and elopement and at both sessions was truly an absolute pleasure to work with and made both experiences so easy, so fun and filled with so much magic! For our engagement shoot we had planned a July shoot at Superstition Mountain (I’m obsessed with the place) but right before our session the mountain caught fire and got so bad they had to close the trails we planned to shoot on. We had to make a backup plan. Allison being the rockstar she is scouted some trails and found another magical trail that had all the feels I wanted AND had Superstition Mountain in the background!!!
I was beyond thrilled and grateful!
At both the engagement shoot and our elopement day Allison came totally prepared with everything from snacks and water to a speaker so we could listen to music during (she even had “our song” cued up! She thought of every aspect of the day and was ready for anything. She was so easy to work with and made us feel like a friend we’ve known forever was taking our picture. The conversations we had with her were organic and full of laughter and happiness. She made us feel relaxed and comfortable so we could be truly present in the moment. I can’t even picture our elopement day without Allison being there. She made the day effortless (even with climbing a mountain in full wedding attire!).
And our pictures… WOWZA!!! They are absolutely mind-blowingly amazing! I don’t know if I could be any happier with them. On top of being crazy talented, sweet, funny, personable and professional, Allison is quick! She had our elopement images back to us within 2 weeks!!!
I could literally talk about how awesome Allison is all day. She is a dream to work with, easy to communicate with and a master of her craft! I can no thank her enough for our experiences with her and am already thinking of a reason for her to photograph us again! Allison is the best! We did an adventure session with her at Yosemite and from the very first email to the final delivery of our gallery, she was very polite, helpful, outgoing, professional and creative! I would not have chosen anyone else, she captured my vision for our session perfectly! She's very organized and sociable, made us feel super relaxed and I appreciated all of the little details for our session. I look forward to another session with her in the future and would recommend her to anyone. Can't wait to fill our walls with her images, we love them all! -
