Couldn't Be Happier!

We couldn't be happier with Ty's services and how our wedding photos turned out! We felt that Ty was very invested in making sure that our wedding went as smoothly as possible. Ty spent a lot of time on the phone weeks beforehand planning out the schedule of the day, detail by detail, to make sure that we felt like we were prepared. Ty communicated and worked with the DJ and caterer so well and made sure that there was no miscommunication between what was happening and when. Ty overall was the main force that kept our wedding day running smoothly and on schedule. We also very much appreciated Ty's calmness, professionalism, and sense of humor, which helped us get through the stresses of the day. We are so happy with the quality and quantity of the photos. Ty was able to capture the most intimate moments of the day, so many spontaneous photos of our happiness, and numerous photos of our guests. Ty's services were such a good value for the quality, and we are so happy that we chose him to capture our wedding day! If you are looking for a photographer that will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, you should definitely consider Ty!

Very flexible and awesome to work with!

Ty was amazing to work with! He was very flexible when it came to scheduling, and even worked on his day off. Whenever we had a question, he would respond no later than the next day. Ty made sure to make our day special and to catch all the special shots that you wouldn't think of. He also looks for the best shot possible and follows through every time! We opted for an extra photographer and the price was still affordable. Both of them showed professionalism and truly cared about making our day special! I would recommend Ty to anyone that asks! He did an amazing job!

Perfect Expression of Our Wedding Day

I've worked as a photojournalist and I can tell you that Ty is an absolute ace. His sense of the moment is impeccable, evidenced by the fact that he perfectly captured our personalities and the personalities of our families and friends. Most importantly, he made us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera and at ease. He is extremely thoughtful in every aspect of his work and is such an efficient and skilled communicator that he managed to successfully pose two very large families in a very short amount of time. He also went above and beyond and followed us to a park immediately after the ceremony to take pictures of us with our dog, which turned out incredibly well. I can't recommend Ty highly enough. We will treasure these photographs for the rest of our lives, and they will always immerse us in that moment in time.

Say Yes to Ty!!

Ty is a great photographer who knows how to capture perfect moments. My husband and I loved both our engagement session and wedding collections, they were more than we could have every wanted. Ty is genuine and able to go with the flow. He was able to take my vision and turn it into a reality. On our big day, he spent his time capturing detailed images and made sure that the Bride (me) and the Groom got everything they wanted and more. I highly recommend Ty and his beautiful work!

Speechless

From the very start of planning our wedding, I had told myself that my wedding photos were the most important thing to me. Planning a wedding can be very stressful, overwhelming and costly but I was prepared to spend any amount of money for great quality pictures to capture the special moments of our wedding. I hired Ty to be our photographer for many reasons, with the most important being very professional and patient with us.
Ty was at our venue around 12:30 PM with our first look pictures starting at 2, ceremony at 4:30 and hung around till 9. There we’re so many pictures taken, Ty would just come out of no where:) Being the bride and groom you get pulled every which way, bound to miss something going on. When we started looking at the final pictures, we both started to get emotional. It was so nice to see the love that we have for one another captured at all times during our busy day.
We couldn’t be more pleased with Ty and his wonderful work and creative mind.

More than fantastic!

Ty and his assistant were more than fantastic! Our engagement and wedding photos turned out great. He was very flexible with the day-of timeline, as it rained most of the morning and afternoon before the wedding. A Wonderful Photographer

Ty was so easy and fun to work with! We are so pleased with our engagement and wedding photos and we will always cherish them. Ty was very relaxed and professional the day of the wedding, which helped us feel relaxed and very confident that he was doing a great job the entire day. I was amazed at how Ty paid attention to little details that showed in the photos, all while staying on schedule. He worked hard to capture the moments that were important to us, from early in the day to late at night. I would highly recommend Ty to anyone!

Fantastic Experience!

Ty was nothing but amazing from the get-go. Excellent service

Looking for a photographer for a wedding can be pretty stressful. I knew the “look” I wanted for our photos, but searching for that perfect photographer took time. I came across Ty, and I knew that’s exactly who I wanted to capture our special day. Ty is funny, flexible, and very responsive which was great! His work demonstrates how serious he takes profession, and the turn around time is respectful. You’ll love the finished product because there’s such a variety of photos & he is sure to capture the most important moments. I’d recommend Ty to anyone! We were so, so pleased with Ty's work for our engagement and wedding photos! He truly captured happiness throughout the wedding day despite heat, some rain, and unfortunately some sickness. He didn't miss a beat and worked so hard to get every single detail of the whole day. We received so many compliments from family and friends about how well the photos turned out, especially all the candid photos! He really does go above and beyond....he arrived at the church earlier than expected to scout out the best areas for pictures and stayed at the reception longer than expected to capture all the fun on the dance floor. We could not have asked for a better experience!

From the moment I read through the info on the website, I knew this was going to be a good fit and the email exchanges confirmed it. Ty is incredibly fast to respond and very personable. His photos turned out GREAT and he has an amazing eye for detail. The fact that every single image we received was edited really makes our photos stand out. All of our guests complimented his professional-fun attitude and appreciated his ability to help move through poses without things feeling forced or rushed. Can't forget to mention the presentation...LOVED that we get access to an online gallery that we can share with family and friends as well as a personalized flashdrive with HI-RES photos (without watermarks!). The value is amazing - it is so nice to have ALL of our photos in hi-res. If TR Photography is available...book them!

Ty was excellent to work with throughout the entire wedding process. He had a great suggestion for a location to have our engagement pictures taken and they turned out great. Leading up to the wedding Ty did a great job helping us come up with a schedule to make sure all of the pictures got taken care of without interrupting the flow of the wedding itself.

There were good pictures taken throughout with pictures of the first look, ceremony, and reception. Even the detail pictures of things like the rings, flowers, and decorations were really well done. With so much going on it is easy to overlook the little things like that.

Multiple of my friends and family commented on how professional and friendly Ty was. He did a great job working with the venue management and DJ to make sure they weren't stepping on each other's toes.

Overall I would definitely suggest Ty to anyone looking to find a wedding photographer. The pictures turned out wonderful and Ty was very easy to work with through the entire process. My wife and I are both extremely happy with how everything turned out.

We are so glad we picked Ty Raterman for our recent wedding. Ty was incredible to work with from scheduling engagement photos to shipping our wedding photos. Ty did amazing work for us. Despite our engagement and wedding being during a very amazing and important part of his personal life, he never made us feel like we were put on the back burner. Very accommodating to our schedule and lack of planning, he was quick to research the areas close to where we live to come up with great locations for some really great photos. I found Ty after doing a random search and fell in love with the pictures I seen. I could not have asked for a better experience! Ty worked around our schedules to do our engagement session and even took the time to watch the weather and make sure we had a great evening for it. As far as our wedding day it couldn't have gone smoother and our pictures are amazing. Ty did a great job working with a groom who doesn't like to smile. I was so surprised that Ty took time to scope out our area to find a wonderful place for pictures outside the church. Absolute top notch for communication whether it be by phone, texts or emails. Ty shot our engagement and wedding pics. I was very impressed with his knowledge/honesty, and recommending different places that would offer better lighting and ultimately, better pictures. Ty did not disappoint! Our wedding pictures were absolutely beautiful! We could not have been happier with the pictures we got back from our engagement session and wedding! Ty did an exceptional job capturing all of the moments from our special day. The quality of pictures were great, his responsiveness to questions were fast, he had a great value, and was EXTREMELY flexible with the times/places we wanted our pictures at, which was so nice. Ty was extremely flexible with my fiance and I after communicating to him that a recent surgery had wiped out some of our budget for deposits and the like. He responded quickly and was very informative. His gallery on his site is amazing and he came highly recommended by our venue. We ended up going with another photographer in the end, but what you get for your money is outstanding compared to others I have looked at.

Ty was an incredible photographer to work with! He was prompt in answering our questions during our wedding planning process which allowed us to feel comfortable with his services. He spent so much time with us capturing all of our memories. I really like that Ty allowed us to choose the time of day for him to arrive on our wedding day, and that he checked with us before he left that evening. We got our pictures back from Ty yesterday, and WOW they are amazing!
Not only is Ty a very talented photographer, but from the moment I first emailed him Ty was responsive, friendly and helpful. He listened to what we wanted while also giving us advice when it was needed. My husband has four kids and they were in the wedding (which of course makes taking lots of pictures a trick). Ty did an excellent job working with them, making sure the pictures they were in were brief and as "kid friendly" as possible, while still getting us lots of great family pictures that I can't wait to hang on my wall!

BRIDES & GROOMS!!! If you are looking for a photographer, but not looking to take a loan out for beautiful images, THIS IS THE GUY!!!!!! My husband and I combed through photographers, looking for someone who would stay within our budget for our wedding....when we stumbled across Ty, we knew he was the one! (Upon speaking to him, he confirmed what we were hoping to find...someone who would take our images, make us feel comfortable and deliver images we will cherish forever!!!)

Ty and his wife photographed our Engagement session last fall of 2015. They were great to work with and made us feel very comfortable. He went above and beyond the call of duty and met my fiancé and I on location, in southern Ohio. It was quite a distance from Sidney, but he was more than willing to meet us, just to get the images we wanted. That is one thing that I will never forget!

Ty photographed our wedding this past June 2016. He was great; accommodating to any changes we needed last minute and was definitely a help in planning how we would get all the pictures in on the day of the wedding. Our schedule was very tight and he helped hash it out so that no images were left behind!!! On the day of the wedding, we ran into a hitch with rain, so Ty very quickly came up with another plan for some indoor images. He did a great job and we are very happy! He took any suggestions on specific pictures we wanted!

We were also quite pleased with the turn-around time on the finished images! I wasn't expecting an email from Ty for about 6-12 months about our images being finished, but he emailed me within a month after the wedding, to let me know they were completed!!!!! (only a month into being a new father, at that! Quite impressive!!!) I would recommend him and his wife to anyone looking for great pictures, he did an amazing job! I can't say enough good about him!

Ty was an absolutely wonderful photographer! He was so accommodating to our crazy schedules from the very beginning. My husband and I felt so comfortable around Ty and I think this made our pictures come out even better! From our engagement pictures to our wedding day everything went better than we could've imagined. Normally the second photographer he uses is his wife but she wasn't available so he asked us if it was okay to use another photographer which we didn't mind at all. His second photographer Deborah was absolutely wonderful and we have nothing but rave reviews for her as well. We were amazed at the number of photos Ty sent us! I am currently stationed with the Army overseas and flew back to Ohio for my wedding. I found Ty online and did some research before hiring him. I was so happy with my pictures. His eye for where to take pictures was better than I could have imagined. Ty was beyond wonderful and very professional. He was very flexible with communication because of the time change, and ensured he knew exactly what we wanted before our wedding day. He even assisted with coming up with a timeline for pictures, which made our wedding run so smoothly. He made me and my husband feel so comfortable. He captured so many genuine smiles, which ended up being my favorite pictures. He was very thorough and helpful throughout the whole process (even down to letting me know what colors wouldn't work well where we were shooting our engagement photos) Ty is very quick to respond and gave us very honest opinions regarding what photos we wanted done and the time constraint we wanted to be on. All of his canter, thoughtfulness and talent was noticed by the guests at our wedding and we received so many compliments on how he seemed to just be everywhere. I truly do not know where to start when it comes to Ty Raterman Photography! He truly have a talent when it comes to playing with angles and lighting. He is very quick to respond to emails, and was very quick to respond to concerns we had when it came to pricing. Our engagement pictures were amazing, which some are in my profile, and I'm sure that the wedding pictures will be the same way! He was very flexible with our times considering we had many ideas, and he helped with a plan of attack when it came to how things could run smoothly. Ty photographed our wedding on March 5, 2016, and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly easy to work with, very organized, and has a great eye for the candid shots! He processed the pictures within 3 weeks of the wedding which was a really fast turnaround for over 600 pictures. Ty was with us all day, from mid-morning for hair and makeup until night to get some really fun dance pictures. He was incredibly respectful during the ceremony and was able to get the perfect shots without being noticed at all. I thought the pictures were really a representation of the wedding through the eyes of the bride and groom, which we loved! We highly recommend Ty!

Ty was amazing! He was extremely easy to work with and we are absolutely thrilled with our pictures! From day one, Ty was very helpful and responsive. He even offered to meet me for coffee and spent a few hours talking through the day with me, answering questions, and coming up with a plan. Ty stayed in touch with me several times, leading up to our wedding day and if I had questions, he would always respond back to me very quickly-often within an hour. On the day of the wedding, I was impressed with how well Ty had everything planned out and how smoothly everything ran. We had decided to have a February wedding, and were hoping to get some pretty outdoor shots. Unfortunately, on the weekend of our wedding, the temperatures dipped down to the single digits, and my husband and I decided it wasn't worth it to make our wedding party miserable by dragging them outside. I was nervous because I wasn't sure how good our pictures would be if they were all just taken inside the church. But Ty was great about finding cool inside places to take photos and managed to catch lots of candids and they actually turned out great. I think my favorite part about Ty, other than his easy going personality, was that his pictures really seemed to reflect the day as we remembered it. He took hundreds of pictures at the reception, and they truly captured the evening perfectly. My husband and I, and our family and friends, had a great time looking through the reception pictures and enjoyed being able to sort of re-live all of the moments from the night. If you're looking for a photographer who is easy to work with and takes beautiful pictures, then Ty is your man.

Ty was fantastic to work with. My fiance and I didn't have the engagement session, so Ty offered to meet us for coffee to get to know us and get an idea of what we wanted. He was very communicative leading up to the wedding and about a week or two before the wedding, he called me and we made a game plan-which included a good amount of flexibility depending on what I wanted the day of. On the day of the wedding, he worked extremely hard and did a good job of capturing every moment. After the wedding, he kept communication open and was prompt in getting our pictures to us and sending the flash drive. I absolutely love our pictures! They are a great mix of both formal and natural-which was exactly what I was looking for in my wedding photos. At the heart of everything, it was evident that he truly loves what he does and that passion shines through in his work ethic. I would highly recommend Ty to anyone in need of a wedding photographer.

Ty and Christina were absolutely wonderful! Both came to the department store where we were getting our makeup done and started snapping away. They were right on time and extremely professional the entire day. My Matron of Honor kept saying how amazing they were the whole day and the Best Man wants to use them for his wedding (though they live in North Carolina lol)! Though the weather didn't cooperate with us, Ty checked the radar beforehand, knew it was supposed to be raining by the time our ceremony ended, so he changed up our timeline a bit. He knew how important it was to me that on get pictures taken outside, so instead of doing the Wedding Party pictures after, we took them all before. (We did a First Look outside, as well, which turned out beautifully) Both Ty and Christina captured all of the small details of the wedding and reception, from the cake down to the gold silverware. As promised, the pictures were ready for viewing 4 weeks after the wedding. As we were clicking through them, that is when I realized how great Raterman Photography truly is. They not only captured Jonathan and I, but also got fantastic shots of practically every single one of our guests. Yes, that day was about us, but it will be so nice looking back through those pictures and seeing the faces of everyone who was there celebrating our special day with us. Ty and Christina stayed throughout our reception, but when they felt like things were winding down and there wasn't really anything else they could photograph, politely asked if they could leave. They had been with us for almost 11hrs. by that point! We graciously said yes, so they packed their cameras and quietly left.

Another great thing about working with Ty was how quickly he responded to any questions I had prior to the actual wedding day. His typical response time was usually was within a couple of hours. His warn personality and calming demeanor quickly squashed any wedding jitters I had leading up to that day!

Ty and Christina are wonderful people and gifted and professional photographers. Ty was incredibly prompt with emails, he even Skyped with us! (We couldn't make it to meet with him before the wedding and Ty wanted to meet us before the big day to help us feel a little more comfortable--he was right--a great idea.)

Ty and Christina were early to the venue, even though myself and the wedding party was late. Being off schedule made me a bit frantic and anxious, but they both stayed calm and help put us all at ease. They got right to work to make up for lost time without making anybody feel rushed, and still getting people to enjoy themselves. I still don't know how they managed to get so many beautiful photos before the ceremony and still start on time.

During and after the ceremony, Ty and Christina worked as a team and delivered such incredible photos from multiple angles. Our ceremony was outside on a sunny fall day and they captured the vibrant colors of the leaves behind us, as well as the sunflowers in our bouquets popping against our dresses. Everybody looked stunning--they were careful to help us with hair, hand positions that looked unnatural, clothing that was out of place. Out of the 660 photos that were returned to us in less than a month, nobody had their eyes closed, or had an unflattering photo. Throughout the entire day, I felt at ease knowing that Ty and Christina were there to capture our wedding. I never had to look around and say "Ty--get that!" They were already there. Didn't miss a thing. Our family and friends were also very impressed with their work and kindness.

We are incredibly pleased with the quality of the photos, the turn around time to get the flash drive and the prices get to print, but most importantly the professionalism and good-heartedness of Ty and Christina. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose them in a heartbeat.

Ty and Christina are wonderful people and great to work with! I was an out of state bride and they worked around my schedule and my conflicts like a charm. Even answering my late night emails. Everyone at my wedding loved them! It rained on my wedding day but they withstood the elements and took amazing pictures. After researching online for a wedding photographer, I came across Ty Raterman Photography and instantly feel in love with his pictures. After sending the initial email he responded within a day and was more than gracious to answer all of my questions. During the months before my wedding we were constantly in contact either by phone or email. He went out of his way to scout possible locations where we could take the pictures since I was an out-of-state bride and knew nothing about the area other than that’s where my husband-to-be was from. He gave us a few options, as well as his opinion, on each location so that we could make an informed decision on where we’d like our pictures taken.
On my wedding day it was cold, windy and rainy (thank you hurricane Joaquin) but Ty put me at ease and promised that we would still get amazing photos. He was telling the truth! The final product was absolutely amazing, you couldn’t even tell in our pictures that the weather was so awful. The man stood in a creek, photographed in the rain, and drove all over Ohio just so our pictures would turn out fabulous.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer in Ohio, I highly recommend Ty Raterman Photography. Not only is he an outstanding human being, he is a great photographer too.

When I first e-mailed Ty about doing our wedding pictures, I had an immediate gut feeling that he was the "one" for our special day. His positive attitude and upbeat personality really drew us to him. Ty and Christina were so sweet, attentive, patient, fun, professional and absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! He was great throughout the entire time leading up to the wedding, would respond very quickly to any questions/concerns or requests I had- This was my main thing!!!! I liked how he treated me and us as if we were the only customers he had!!! On the day of our wedding, he and Christina made us, the bridal party and guests feel very comfortable. All I heard from guests after the wedding was how nice, and great our photographers were. A lot of guests also commented on how long they stayed!!! (In a good way!) I also really liked how you get your pictures back within 30 days of the event, I know some of my friends who waited MONTHS to even see their wedding pictures, this is a really nice touch to have them back to you within 30 days. When we got our wedding pictures, we were BLOWN away!! They were able to capture our day from start to end and they were GORGEOUS!!!! Everyone we showed our wedding pictures to have said how beautiful they were and how great they did. We HIGHLY recommend Christina and Ty. They are very skilled and know what they are doing!! Plus they are so sweet and really make you feel like you have known them for years! We loved their positive attitude and would use them again in a heartbeat!!! It was really difficult finding a photographer. Pictures are extremely important to a bride especially to this Bride. After your wedding your photographs are the memories you get to share with everyone long after the wedding. Ty & his wife Christina are the sweetest people you will ever work with! I would give them more then 5 stars if I could! They seriously spent an entire day driving around photographing my wedding...at no extra charge! They came to my salon where I was getting hair and makeup done and took photos, and then traveled to the venue to take pictures before the ceremony pictures!! They worked extremely hard and I'm sure it was so stressful for them and you would have never known it. My pictures turned out amazing and I love the quality and the small details that they made sure to capture. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I think that Ty is as well when it comes to his photography & that's probably why I was so pleased with them. My husband and I knew right away after sitting down with them that they would be our photographers (we had met with multiple photographers before the, but they were the ones I felt the most at ease with) I would recommend them in a heartbeat! The negative review on here is ridiculous, I personally went to look at her gallery and her pictures were gorgeous. She had a beautiful bridge to take pictures on and I'm super jealous of that! I'm not sure why she thought her pictures were so horrible they definitely were not! I would definitely ignore the one and only negative review on here because Ty & his wife are amazing and will make you feel stressed free on your wedding day. So I would hire Ty & Christina to do your wedding pictures! :)

I have been working in the wedding industry since I first started catering at the age of 14. Eleven years later, it was my turn to be the bride. After having worked in the wedding industry, I came across a lot of excellent vendors, and had a pretty good idea of who my vendors would be. The one area I struggled in was the photographer. I searched all over and asked for recommendations. The photographers I came across were either insanely pricey and low quality. I was beginning to get disgruntled, when at a last ditch resort, I googled photographers in my area, and came across Ty Raterman Photography. After taking a look at his portfolio and pricing sheet, I knew this was the photographer for me!

Ty has an AMAZING eye for shots that aren't traditional or boring. No one will have wedding pictures like yours if you go with Ty! He was by far the most flexible and easy to work of all of my vendors. He truly bent over backwards for us. He went above and beyond on our wedding day and for our engagement pictures. He was always very prompt in his responses and got us our wedding pictures back in less than a month!

My entire bridal party and even some of our guests mentioned how amazed they were at Ty's ability to be everywhere to get the perfect shot. He truly captured every remarkable moment of our big day. Dearest Brides,
You are probably feverishly reading reviews and comparing prices in order to find the PERFECT photographer for your wedding. You are nervous, as you should be! This is a once and a lifetime decision and arguably the most important decision of wedding planning. Who will capture the best day of your life? WELL LOOK NO MORE! Ty Raterman is by far the most qualified and amazing wedding photographer you will ever find! I am not exaggerating. Here is why:
1. He was completely calm the entire time.
2. He legitimately took into consideration the poses I shared with him and even inspired other poses to go with my style.
3. None of the images look cliche or fake. Everything was completely comfortable and natural for my now husband and I.
4. He worked his tail off! He was always working. I had to beg him to stop and eat some food.
5. He was quick! I don’t know how he got everywhere so quickly. I think he flew. There was not a single missed memory because he was always there to capture the moment.
6. He didn’t mind taking a little direction. Some photographers are too proud to take your suggestions, however, Ty was willing to pursue my requests of photographing the horses, my shoes and random family members. I simply asked him politely (or not so politely, now I don’t remember lol) and he did it!
7. He obviously adjusts easily to change. Unlike me he was totally chill with last minute changes. I was late, groomsmen were late, horses showed up, it rained and then got really hot. He was fine with everything.
8. He never once looked at his watch. He was there to take pictures of the entire wedding and even though he had agreed to certain hours I never once felt like he was ready to leave. He was there for us!
9. Very quick correspondence and always reachable! Email and phone it was easier to get ahold of Ty than it was to get ahold of my own mom.
10. Last but certainly not least: HE IS JUST A GOOD GUY. He is kind, happy, caring and professional!

First and foremost, Ty and Christina are wonderful, down-to-earth people. Ty shot both our engagement and wedding photos. Christina was a great photographer for our wedding as well. They work wonderfully as a team and do their best to ensure that everyone is comfortable. Our wedding day was not the easiest..it rained, the venue wouldn't let them in when we thought, it was cold..etc, etc. This did not deter Ty or Christina. In fact, they let us use their umbrellas which made for beautiful pictures, and they worked around the rain (We had an outdoor venue). My husband and I both received numerous compliments on how great the photographers were, how long they stayed, how hard they would work for the shot.etc. I absolutely love my wedding photos! Whenever my husband and I decide to start a family, we would love to use Ty and Christina for a family shoot! I could go on and on about how wonderful Ty and Christina are, and why you should use them, but I think I would run out of room. :)

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Ty twice... the first time was with him and Christina for our engagement photos which turned out amazing! We wanted to get some of these photos with our two dogs (boxers) and they were more than okay with it and accommodated that so well to ensure we got some great shots with them. You see, this task is not simple as our dogs are so easily distracted especially outdoors in an unknown area like we were.

The second time we got to work with Ty was our wedding day! He was BY FAR the person we were MOST impressed with for the entire wedding including planning and prep. Due to the large wedding party we had (8-9 on each side) getting ready took longer than anticipated, but Ty didn't let that get in the way of making sure he got great shots and remained calm which helped me remain calm as well. The patience he had with all of us was overwhelming. Also, the weather was somewhat gloomy that day, but we still ended up with gorgeous outdoor photos. We threw another wrench in to complicate things by having a videographer who was also trying to get good shots of us. Ty worked around them and again didn't let that get in the way of getting some amazing photos.

My husband and I are both extremely satisfied with all of our photos as are our family and friends. My parents and many of our friends have taken the time to tell us how great they thought Ty was the day of the wedding. If I had to do it all over again I would pick him as our photographer a MILLION times! We will easily and always recommend Ty Raterman Photography to anyone and everyone looking for a great photographer!

Ty and Christina are amazing photographers as well as people! Not only did my husband and I love our photos but both of our families were so impressed with their professionalism and talent! Several of our family members enjoyed the pictures that they took so much they had them printed to be hung in the house.

They were so accommodating to all of our needs during our special day. And talk about generous with their time. They stayed and made sure we were satisfied with the quantity of photos they took. Also, Ty was very helpful in letting me know if a pose was not looking comfortable or natural so my husband and I could fix it. Christina was great with paying attention to every detail and always helped me fix my hair if I had random flyaways.

The day of the wedding can always be super stressful, but my husband, and I were lucky to have these two there to support us through and capture our special day!

Ty and his wife Christina provided photography for our wedding and the whole experience was wonderful. Ty was very prompt and thorough in his emails. The details were easy to work out and his pricing was very reasonable. On the day of the wedding Ty and Christina were on time and everything went smoothly. They made us feel very relaxed and took GREAT photos. It only took 3 weeks for Ty to get the finished photos for us - over 600! Ty was great to work with from start to finish. I highly recommend!

Our wedding photos were so horrible that we have to have them retaken. They were too embarrassing to even post on social media. Ty does not edit anything. If one person has a blemish or imperfection, he lightens everyone in the photos to fix it. There were no good aisle shots, and even pictures with eyes closed. He is careless with his angles and refuses to edit out foreign objects like fire alarms in major shots, upside down lapels (the groom), stray hairs (caused by his wife when she got her camera stuck in my updo before the ceremony), etc. Everyone looked hideous and 20 years older (all makeup was washed away, beige lips, all tans were washed away) because due to his super high definition and lack of editing, everyone--even our friends in their mid-twenties had horrible bags and wrinkles not noticeable in life. Group shots were in front of a building/signs rather than the wildflower beds a few feet away. The worst part was his lashing out after the fact. He is supremely arrogant, unprofessional, and called it "torturous" and said we made him "ill" for a full day since we'd had a concern. This was after he asked for our opinion, and my husband tactfully brought up the issue of the lack of colors since bright, tropical colors were our theme. He told us "You should be happy. If they were MY wedding pictures, I'd be happy with them." He also called himself "far superior" and said "You should THANK me for all the smiles I evoked." I would do anything to have hired a more professional photographer for our special memories that now we can never recapture. As a last resort, he accused us of wanting "magazine quality photos" when all we wanted were to see the real colors and minimal editing. He runs his own ratings on a Facebook business page, and will blame the weather (which a good photographer would never do. Our wedding day was overcast and he lightened everything. He actually told us, "It's not like you had a beautiful sunset behind you." Completely unprofessional.
