We can’t say enjoy good things about the service and attention we received. They went out of their way to make our reception and dinner special. And the food...fantastic!! Highly recommend the Twin Owls chicken as an entree.

Absolutely Perfect.

Choosing a venue seemed like such a monumental decision to me, and my husband and I finally decided on Twin Owls. And let me tell you, it was SUCH a wonderful decision. Let me lay out the reasons:

1) One of the main reasons we decided to book was the fact that it's mostly-inclusive. Meaning, we didn't have to hire caterers or any event rentals for tables and chairs or anything. Not having to deal with potential catering glitches or timing problems day-of was INCREDIBLE.

2) We had our ceremony right next door at Black Canyon, and then cocktail hour on the lawn* (*it actually rained so we moved it indoors), and reception in the steakhouse. That made it a very convenient flow for us and our guests.

3) Twin Owls has so much natural beauty in its rustic, yet elegant ambiance. We hardly had to add anything else to make it perfect for our reception, which cut our decor costs (and stress) WAY down.

4) Sandra is a very detailed, organized person, and she helped us figure out the flow of our wedding, and was flexible when we needed to make changes.

5) Lastly, but CERTAINLY not least, the food was AMAZING. Everyone was commenting on how good it was, and Sandra even accommodated my tricky food allergies (dairy, gluten, and peanutes), and somehow the food was STILL phenomenal.

It was such a dreamy wedding, and all the guests who flew in (it was a destination for pretty much everyone) were enchanted by the "cabin in the mountains" vibe. I've had so many people tell me it was one of the loveliest weddings they'd been to, and that's in large part due to Twin Owls!

Twin Owls is Perfection!

It has been several months since our wedding, but my husband and I both still agree that we had the absolute best wedding venue possible. Our wedding was a destination, and many of our guests had never been to Colorado let alone Estes Park before. Nearly all of them told us (and are still telling us) that it was hands down the best wedding they had ever attended. My husband and I are foodies, our families are foodies, and may of our friends are foodies, too. So, so many of them told us that our wedding food was also the best wedding food they had ever had. I completely agree. My in-laws purchased the wine and beer bar package, but our guests also really appreciated being able to purchase other drinks from the full bar the Twin Owls offers. Sandra and the staff at Twin Owls were incredibly kind, easy to communicate with, and so attentive to our every need. They enabled us to truly relax and focus on our wedding and guests while they provided the perfect atmosphere and the most amazing food. We loved that booking with Twin Owls meant that we didn't have to stress about a caterer that was separate from the venue, renting linens, renting table settings, coordinating with an outside bartender, renting bathrooms, etc. So much of what most couples have to think about was handled for us through Twin Owls, which allowed us to enjoy our engagement and planning season far more! Hardly any stress leading up to or on the day of our wedding! Our reception ran flawlessly because of the professionalism of the staff and warm, comfortable ambiance of the Twin Owls. My husband and I went back the next night for dinner and were greeted with the sweetest smiles and kindest words. Magical is an understatement for the wedding experience the Twin Owls provided. If I could do our wedding over again, I would choose the Twin Owls a thousand times over. It was the wedding I never thought I would have and the wedding I will dream of with the sweetest memories for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to go back for anniversary trips for years to come!

The first time I saw Twin Owls was when my husband and I were being announced at our reception, and let me tell you - it was AMAZING. I planned our entire wedding from Chicago and wasn't able to see any of my vendors until our actual wedding day. After working with Sandra (who is incredible), I knew we were in good hands and didn't even worry about what our venue would look like. I knew it was going to be perfect, and it was. Sandra was very accommodating to even last minute requests. I am still getting compliments on how amazing the service was of everyone working the wedding - my husband and I never had an empty drink :) I wish I could do it all over again! I would choose Twin Owls every. single. time.

Twin Owls is an excellent lovely venue for an Estes Park Wedding. Sandra, who does all the arranging and management is the BEST. The food was absolutely delicious and the plated servings were plentiful. Our daughter, Ellen, & now son in law, Tom, had the most beautiful wedding there. We highly recommend it. Having attended many weddings--FOOD and VENUE were so important to us. Twin Owls & Sandra (owner) were so accommodating, organized, uncomplicated, and perfect. First of all--the venue is SO extremely gorgeous that you barely even need decorations. Twin Owls is an awe-inspiring 1920's log cabin and is stunning. All our guests could say was WOW! And we're still saying that, 3 weeks later looking at photos. The food is delicious--as this IS a steakhouse every other night of the week! We felt really fortunate to be able to have a highly rated restaurant/steakhouse as our wedding venue. Sandra was so accommodating--coming up with a fully vegan option for our handful or vegan/GF guests. Otherwise our options included Prime Rib, Sour Cherry Glazed Pork, and Shrimp Carbonara. The food is another aspect guests are raving about. I mean, really the entire wedding was just outstanding. Everything went so smoothly, and the settings/venues were just gorgeous between Twin Owls and adjacent Black Canyon Inn for our ceremony. Thanks again guys!!

The Twin Owls Steakhouse was the perfect spot to hold our rehearsal dinner! Sandra was a pleasure to work with and her serving staff went out of their way to make the evening special for us and our guests. Our dinner was held in the loft above the main floor and it was a nice space where our party could be kept separate from everything else. The food was delicious and we were able to offer multiple entrees to our guests to choose from. The bar package was easy to set up with plenty of drink options. The servers were extremely attentive, helpful, and courteous to our guests. I’m glad we chose this place because it set the tone for a great wedding weekend.

Sandra, Thad and staff went out of their way to make our reception a huge success!!!!!! We had an amazing cocktail party on the lawn with appetizers before the dinner. Then dinner and dancing inside. Their reception food is as good as their usual dinner menu and features many of the same items. Can't think of another reception I have been to where the food is this good! Love the intimate feel of Twin Owls Steakhouse. Highly recommend!

We were married on July 4, 2015 and I cannot thank Sandra and the rest of the Twin Owls Steakhouse staff enough. As if the venue doesn't speak for itself, the staff just complete the picture. They were all so incredibly accommodating and helpful when planning a destination wedding. I never felt stressed and received prompt responses to all emails. Sandra made sure that our day was perfect! We opted for the buffet and everyone at the reception commented on how delicious the food was. I highly recommend the spicy elk tenderloins for an appetizer, you won't be disappointed!! Since returning home I have not stopped telling all of my family and friends about the phenomenal experience we had at Twin Owls Steakhouse. I cannot wait to return there.

My wife and I recently had our reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse - we had a wonderful evening! Sandra was a pleasure to work with. The thing that impressed us most about her was her flexibility. Specifically, my wife and I wanted to do a custom menu with all food being sourced or co-sourced from Colorado. Sandra went above and beyond to craft this menu with us, all while staying within the budget. Our family really appreciated this and the food was outstanding! If you're looking for a venue that has the flexibility to make your night about you and what you want, look no further than the Twin Owls Steakhouse!

Working with Sandra at Twin Owls was a dream! From the professionalism and constant communication during planning, to the AMAZING food and great service the day of the wedding, our wedding reception was perfect. They thought of details that we hadn't and worked with all of our particular desires. We are not from the Estes Park area, and they recommended great vendors to use. They worked with our budget and then surpassed all of our expectations.
Sidenote: If planning a reception here... I would recommend taking advantage of the cocktail hour on the lawn. It is a perfect little break between the wedding and the reception!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better rehearsal dinner venue for our wedding weekend. The staff was friendly and professional, and ensured ourselves and our guests were taken care of the entire night.

On top of that, the food was AMAZING! They offer a wide array of delicious meals with a Colorado-twist on them (Just a heads up, the mashed potatoes are to die for!). We had a private room which made our dinner even more special and intimate. The restaurant is beautiful and is a great place for your rehearsal dinner.

We had our rehearsal dinner in the upstairs loft at Twin Owls and we absolutely loved it! Food was great and they were very easy to work with. We loved the rustic, Colorado feel to the place and the menu. We had a lot of out of town guests so it was fun to be somewhere with the natural, Colorado feel.

Sandra at Twin Owls was great to work with. In between e-mail correspondence and phone calls, all of our questions were answered.
We booked our entire wedding long-distance, so we were hoping it would all turn out the way we hoped. It turned out exactly how we imagined!
The staff was easy to work with in regards to changes that we made to the setup of the room. The wait staff was also extremely friendly and served us very well.

We had our wedding reception at Twin Owls and could not have been happier. We had a great experience from the beginning. Sandra was great to work with and easy to get in touch with, and whenever she was unavailable her assistant, Julie, was just as great. We had a couple of minor contract issues but Sandra was very responsive and was able to fix them as soon as they were brought to her attention. They are very flexible and accommodating. The venue is GORGEOUS - we had very minimal decorations and it would have been fine with even less - and of course the food was delicious. We are still getting tons of compliments on our reception!

Twin Owls Steakhouse was absolutely wonderful when my finacee and I found that our original reception plans fell through just a week before the wedding. They dropped everything they were doing to help us put together a last minute party that turned out to be beautiful. They timed the beverages, food, cake, etc perfectly. We couldn't have been happier. The restaurant itself is beautiful but we opted for the lawn reception. It does get warm and there is not alot of shade for the guests but we would highly recommend Twin Owls for parties or wedding receptions.

We had our reception here in July 2013. Food was superb and decently priced. Our reception was small and we had it in their loft that holds 35 people. Very private and has its own bathroom, so very convenient for all my guests( especially for my elderly grandma that had recently had hip surgery). Very clean and quaint. I highly recommend this place for any small party/celebration!!

We held our rehearsal dinner at the Twin Owls for 31 guests. All the planning was done virtually and from out of state. Every aspect of this event exceeded our expections, from the menu offerings to the excellent service. The friendly staff welcomed the guest promptly and with efficient bar and food service. We had an open bar and the selections suited every preference. The value was unbeatable and the quality of the food excellent. The family friendly environment was more than accommodating for the children attending the dinner. We are appreciative to Twin Owls' staff, especially Sandra who was our event planner to Julie and the servers who made our event memorable.

I worked in the restaurant business for 10 years prior to entering the Air Force, Twin Owls Steakhouse is a "no-brainer" when deciding to host your reception in Estes Park. The food is excellent! We found it hard to decide what we were going to serve. We decided on the buffet service, why not be able to try 3 entrees as opposed to one. The service was amazing, very personable staff, never went without anything. Sandra will work with you on pricing! We went with the all inclusive bar and buffet--absolutely amazing and best decision ever. They provide cake service, and champagne toast and the whole restaurant is yours for the night. I had so many compliments from my guests, the venue is so beautiful, little money was spent on decoration. The appetizers are awesome, I guess I didn't buy enough from what my guests said. We chose the Buffalo swedish meatballs, shrimp cocktail, Cajun elk bites, and our package came with a cheese and fruit tray. Twin Owls serves everything in style, absolutely wonderful, we'll be back for dinner in the future!

Twin Owls Steak House is a one of a kind place for several reasons: They have incredible service, a helpful and kind staff, amazingly delicious food, and its ambiance made it our number one choice for our wedding reception. All guests felt welcomed immediately by the friendly and accommodating staff. Also, its 100 year old beautiful dark wood dining rooms enhance any get together, making it feel intimate and warm. All guests were wowed by the delicious plated meals. All three choices were appreciated and loved by all guests. The staff made it possible for our wedding reception to unfold seamlessly. We would recommend Twin Owls Steak House for any occasion, big or small. Your friends and family will feel right at home in this cozy, beautiful, and intimate setting in the mountains. Go for dinner, or celebrate something huge. They can make it all happen.

I just had my wedding reception here two days ago, and it was perfect. Sandra was so accommodating during our planning process, rearranging table set-ups, making arrangements for a guest in a wheelchair, ensuring we had options for our vegetarian guests, and generally answering all of my questions very thoroughly. The night went so smoothly, even though we started a little earlier than planned due to the weather. Everyone loved the food (especially the mashed potatoes), and the wait-staff and bartenders were great. I would definitely recommend this venue to a friend; it is a beautiful setting that doesn't need much extra decoration, with amazing food, wonderful service, and is overall a great package. The Twin Owls Steakhouse provided an absolutely perfect site for our wedding reception. We got married at the Black Canyon Inn’s pavilion, which is mere steps away from the entrance to the steakhouse. Our guests enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers on the lawn of the Inn right outside the steakhouse, and the service was truly excellent. Then we moved inside to the large dining room, which needs very few decorations due to its gorgeous furnishings. The fantastic service continued throughout the night, from the bartending to the events coordination to the bussing. We heard nothing but rave reviews of the food – particularly the filet mignon with béarnaise sauce. Thank you so much, Twin Owls, for making our wedding reception beautiful, delicious, and unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty, and we look forward to returning on our anniversaries down the road.

We loved the Twin Owls Steakhouse for our reception venue! Following our ceremony at the pavilion, guests moved down to the lawn for a cocktail party that was fantastic! Following the cocktail party we moved inside for our reception. The food was wonderful! Many of our guests commented that the food was the best they'd ever tasted at a wedding. We came up a couple months in advance and tasted the food with no problems. We worked with Sandra and she always got back to us with any questions we might have. Everything went very smoothly, we wouldn't have changed a thing!

From the friendly service, to the AMAZING food to the great atmosphere, this place has it all. I was very pleased with this restaurant they were very helpful along the way. They have a great menu to choose from, and everyone loved the food. They were very helpful with the planning, and the decorating. It was nice that we reserved our own private room, I believe it was the garden room. It was quiet, and we could play our own music. It was a great atmosphere, and the wall of windows was great for letting in natural lighting also.

My husband and I got married at the Black Canyon Inn on 9/3/17 and had our reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse. We couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out! Twin Owls is beautiful inside and provides a rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Also, the food was amazing and we had a lot of guests that were raving about the prime rib and mashed potatoes. We worked with Sandra for the two years leading up the wedding and she was helpful, responsive, and flexible where she could be. It was really nice going to Twin Owls for our tasting as we had a chance to talk to Sandra face-to-face and an opportunity to try some meal options. It was such a fun meeting and Sandra took a good amount of time with us to ensure she had all of the information she needed and also gave me time to ask questions and make requests. Sandra was really accommodating and even offered to provide Sangria as our signature drink, as well as a S'mores bar for our wedding reception. Thank you, Sandra! On the night of the wedding, Sandra was there to make sure everything was running smoothly and she even provided a take-home box of food that my husband and I could enjoy the next day as we didn't have a ton of time to eat the night of the wedding. My only complaint is the time restrictions. The ten o'clock hour comes quick and I would have loved to have just one more hour of dance time. However, we knew our time limitations going in and we still had such an incredible night with family and friends at Twin Owls! Looking forward to going back for dinner soon!

We had a flawless wedding reception at Twin Owls Steakhouse. This place is beautiful and cozy on its own, so you don't need a lot of decorations. I received so many compliments on the food. We had salmon, steak, and chicken on our buffet. We had a live band at our reception and I was initially a little concerned about the space, but that was a non issue. it was the perfect size dance floor after the staff moved the sweethearts table out of the way. From beginning to end, Sandra and Julie were great to work with. When my guest count came in much higher than we were expecting, Sandra even worked with me a bit on the pricing. I really appreciate their professionalism and flexibility. The day was so perfect and I couldn't be happier with the services we received at Twin Owls Steakhouse. I definitely recommend having cocktail hour on the lawn--we was great.

The Twin Owls is beautiful, the food is amazing and the staff is wonderful! Sandra was very helpful and very responsive as well as flexible. I had 1 vegetarian guest and while I was doing a buffet they happily prepared 1 veggie meal for my guest so that I could have all the meat options I wanted. The elk bite appetizers are the best elk I have ever had. The lodge is perfect and doesn't need any extra decoration. The reception was pretty expensive but to me it was worth it to not have to worry about anything and I have no complaints! The wait staff was very attentive and professional and the bar tenders were great.

Twin Owls was great for our reception! They were great along the entire process of planning and made everything very easy and low stress. We were able to get the room setup and decorate the day before the event rather than the day of as they usually do which helped us out a TON. I can't say enough how thankful I am that we did our reception with them in the loft room. Even though the room was smaller (which was what we wanted for our smaller party), there was still room to dance and no one felt cramped. I know several of the guys had fun with the bartenders in the bar as well. The staff and atmosphere were just terrific - I cannot say enough good about them.
The food was good, although different if you're not used to high class meals. We went in for a "tasting" as dinner but unfortunately not much of what's on the event menu is on the regular menu so we didn't get the chance to taste what we were actually going to serve exactly, but the dinner was worth it to tell us the style of the food.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse. We selected the garden room, and the room was a good size for our wedding group (approx. 35 people). But anymore people and I think it would have been too crammed. The food was great - especially the mashed potatoes!! YUM! I didn't rate "quality of service" with 5 stars for a one reason. Getting a hold of the events planner, Sandra, was not easy. When you're paying a good amount of money for a party like this, you want to be able to talk to someone and have your questions answered. That didn't happen in my case. Example: The "open bar" situation was not explained very well. And on three different occasions I tried to discuss the bar situation and my requests were totally ignored. On the night of our wedding, I was surprised when I came out to the bar and saw some of my guests paying for their shots. I figured "open bar" meant everything was covered. Apparently shots and doubles were not covered in the "open bar". The (very friendly) bartender explained to me why they didn't allow those 2 things, and I understood. However, this is why I tried to discuss this before the night of our wedding. So, if I could recommend one thing for improvement, it would be the communication between the events planning staff and their customers.

Sandra at the Twin Owls was great with our unique reception. We had some difficulty communicating our alcohol choices, but worked it out. The servers, bartender, and food were fantastic! We received so many compliments on the reception! Would rather not have had seating arrangements.

We had a great time at Twin Owls for our rehearsal dinner. The food and atmosphere were amazing and the service was absolutely incredible. We didn't need a lot of decorations in the Garden Room as it had such a cozy cabin feel, which was perfect for us. The only negative thing for us was that the responsiveness of the event manager was the not greatest.

My reception was BEAUTIFUL thanks for the Twin Owls steakhouse. We had our recollection in the Garden Room. They are not flexible with their decoration policies, but I can't blame them- they definitely know they're doing! I can't give enough praise to wait staff that night either. Sandra and Julie worked together to make our evening absolutely wonderful. The staff was soooo attentive of my husband and I, making sure we had water, drinks, and something to eat if ever we needed. They worked with our DJ to coordinate everything behind the scenes so my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. It was a little tough that they opened for decorating at 12:30 on the day-of ... with the wedding at 3:30 I was already getting hair and make-up done and wasn't able to do up the steakhouse on my own. It was tough - I didn't want to ask bridesmaids or mom/stepmom to do it because I wanted them with me during hair and makeup. So that was a little frustrating and "inflexible" The food... holy moly it is the best food we or any of our guests have ever eaten. This is NOT "wedding food" I mean... baked brie, elk bites, NY strip... unbelievable. So good. But WOOOOOWWWW do you pay for it. That is the only reason I had to give value 4 stars... not that it is more expensive than anywhere else in Estes for a wedding... but everyone up there charges too much. So just throw down and do it!!

I was looking for a reception site that felt authentic, not a cookie cutter place with drop ceilings. We also wanted great food and it is just a few steps from the fabulous Black Canyon Inn where our ceremony was held. Sandra was the wedding coordinator for our wedding. I sometimes played phone tag with her but that is to be expected during the busy wedding season. They were accommodating to all of our special requests for food. My husband has special dietary needs as did my grandmother and another guest. They were flexible with our schedule for setting up, we had a lunch reception and they let us in at 7am to set up. The food was great the staff was attentive. My only issue was that we weren't able taste our exact menu before the wedding so I was a bit surprised when the saltimbocca had ham instead of prosciutto. Overall a beautiful location and great food.

We had our reception at the twin owls steakhouse and were very pleased with the result. Sandra was difficult to work with (when we came to visit the venue she wasn't very welcoming, didn't provide much support during the planning process) but since the venue had such good reviews we went with it anyway. During our reception the staff was very attentive to both us and our guests, making sure we always had everything we needed. Although we didn't eat much during the reception, all our of guests and the other vendors we fed raved about the quality of the food. The beer selection was also quite extensive. The venue itself is quite expensive (most of the places we looked were...), but overall we were extremely happy with how things turned out and would recommend it !

We worked with Sandra at Twin Owls to host our small reception (less than 30 people) after our wedding at Black Canyon Inn. Sandra was slow to respond in the beginning, being off season for the area, but once our event got closer she was much more responsive. This site is also a full service restaurant that gets very high ratings for their food quality and service. We had a couple unique requests that were considered and ultimately an equitable compromise was reached. The night of our reception, the service was impeccable. Kim was fantastic! The food was amazing! Everyone continues to rave about our meal compared to what they have had at other wedding receptions. We plan to return to Twin Owls on anniversaries and other fun occasions up in Estes Park.

The steakhouse is wonderful! My wife and I had our reception there after the ceremony up the hill in the pavilion of Black Canyon Inn.
The rustic cabin was a great venue for our 100 or so guests. Everyone loved it. The food was excellent, as was the service. We booked the place from 11am-4pm (which seemed a little short – but probably because we didn’t use the whole time for the reception).
The owner is quite busy, so communication was a little slow at times, but she is very helpful and flexible.
We highly recommend the steakhouse for any event or for dinner.

Twin Owls is a wonderful place to have your wedding reception. The log cabin is amazing and is so unique. The food is excellent and everyone will love it! The responsiveness to emails and phone calls is slow; it sometimes took days to get a response. However, they were very accommodating to any changes I wanted to make or any concerns that I had. The value is great, while there is a food and beverage minimum, there is no rental fee. However, we had decided to pay for an extra buffet option, but come the day of the wedding the food was not available for our guests. While I was refunded the money, I was still upset that it was not made and it was one of the things I was looking forward to eating. But, the rest of the food was amazing and was leaps and bounds over normal wedding reception food.

Excellent food! Service was mediocre. Our guests were serving themselves at one point while we waited for dinner to be served. Request plenty of servers for your party upfront. Otherwise, the food and atmosphere was perfect.

Twin Owls had AMAZING food, everyone raved about the food! The restaurant is gorgeous, and we all had an amazing time. My only complaint is that response time was slow during the planning process...and we had a bit of trouble with one of the assistant coordinators for the evening. But Sandra, the main coordinator, is great and helpful. I would definitely recommend having your reception here!

It's a shame to give this low of a rating because we were so excited to use Twin Owls for our Reception. The food here is INCREDIBLE. The restaurant is beautiful and rich in history. The staff was flawless our wedding night. Our guests raved about the food and the service. The selection was wide and varied. And the price was very reasonable.
Unfortunately it was the planning process that left us feeling neglected. We had a great initial impression with the owners. We dined in the restaurant the night before we met to discuss possibly booking the venue for a wedding and we fell in love with it right away. We were blown away by the food. And one of the owners came by our table (not even knowing our reason for dining there) and swept us off our feet with his personable approach and hospitality. The next morning we met with his wife, the co owner and again were blown away by the personable approach and packages offer and we booked a date immediately.
That was the end of our good experience in dealing with them. They were difficult to get a hold of. Responses were usually one word answers or none at all. Finally we submitted our final plan 2-3 months before the wedding as required with our idea with linens and lighting etc. Of course no reply so we sought one out, and the response was yes it was received.
Come to find out the week of the wedding after everything was reserved, that our linen plan wouldn't work b/c of the type of tables they use. It was apparent that our plan wasn't even fully reviewed until then. Fortunately I had a planner who was able to change our linen order in time. We were staying on site the whole week before the wedding and tried to meet to make sure everything else was set, but we were unable and had to talk to another staff member who was unsure of most of what we were asking. The only time we saw her all week was at the very end of the night to collect payment.
It was still a beautiful reception with great food.

Generally, our experience at Twin Owls Steakhouse was positive. We got married at the Black Canyon Inn, so it was nice having the reception at the same location. The food was very good and the service at the dinner was excellent. We did have some issues with communication; emails and phone calls weren't always returned promptly, but things came together at the end. We had our reception in the loft area, which provided a nice setting and privacy. However, our wedding was in July, so it did get very warm since there was no AC. We had 25 people there, and I can't imagine having any more up there because the heat would have been too much.
Overall, things were good, and I would recommend Twin Owls Steakhouse to a friend.

We had a very small wedding and this is where we had our dinner following the wedding. I really enjoyed my fillet and I believe my brother-in-law enjoyed his fish. He woofed it down. However, I would say that if you are a vegetarian perhaps this is not the place for you.

The two major pros are the location/venue (old log cabin/lodge feel) and the food (it's a steakhouse, the food is amazing). That being said, it's expensive! The cost for one person at a buffet is the same as the cost for two people to have dinner and drinks at the restaurant on a regular night. Kids meals are half the adult price, which is also very expensive for mac n' cheese or chicken fingers. Also, the bar tab got very expensive because the staff kept removing drinks from people's tables before they were done, forcing them to go get a new one. We had 100 guests, which was pretty crowded if you also want a dance floor. They say they can accommodate 180 but that would be very cozy.

My husband and I got married at Black Canyon Inn last fall. I need to start off by saying we LOVED this venue. You cannot beat the views, and the reception setting inside Twin Owls steakhouse is dreamy. The food is delicious and the set-up was so lovely. They were very accommodating with our changing table plans.

Unfortunately, we had some theft at our reception. Several greeting cards that contained cash and gift cards were taken. While I guess it's possible that a guest took them, it's highly unlikely since we only invited very close friends and family. We know they were stolen because we tracked one of the missing gift cards and found out that it was used a few days after our wedding. Myself and my wedding planner contacted Twin Owls, but we never really got anywhere. I can't believe that a business would treat this so lightly, especially when it could have potentially one of their employees that was the thief. My family was pretty outraged, and I was so sad that my beautiful and perfect wedding day was tainted by this.

I would recommend this venue to friends, and have, but I warn them to have someone to keep an eye on gifts at all times. Which is ridiculous. Theft should be the last thing on your mind at your wedding.

When we found the Black Canyon Inn we were so excited to see the steakhouse onsite and just as beautiful as the pictures we had seen. Initially our planning stages with their coordinator whet smoothly, however torwards the end there were some questions that fortunately I thought to ask. I think they need to be very thourough in explaning policies (most getting married haven't done this before) to their clients. However, the day of the wedding couldn't have been more perfect, the staff was very attentive and the food was fantastic. Overall a good experience but just make sure you cross all of your t's and dot your i's.

We chose the Twin Owls Steakhouse for our reception venue because it is on the Black Canyon Inn property and we really loved that no one had to drive any one and it was convenient. The reception went beautifully the room was set up great and the food was delicious. What really matters is that the night we smoothly and it did but leading up to the wedding was difficult. The woman working is called a "wedding coordinator" but she was not at all helpful and it was a struggle to get ahold of her to ask questions. My husband and I planned the whole thing without her help but it is very frustrating when she wouldn't event send a room layout after we requested it. We finally heard from her about 2 1/2 weeks before the wedding asking for our final numbers etc. I sent over our seating chart with food choices, etc. and when we arrived for set up the day of the wedding we were missing a couple chairs at different place settings and during the event the "wedding coordinator" showed up wearing jeans. So if you are planning your wedding and do not mind not having any assistance I would recommend this venue.

We were very excited about having our reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse but disappointed with the way our event was handled on the day of. The assistant was harsh when communicating with the friends and family that were setting up and cleaning up. The venue itself is lovely but we couldn’t overlook the way that we were treated by the staff assistant. Make sure you know who you will be dealing with the day of!

Had my wedding reception here on 10/18/18 and the venue was exactly what we had in mind. It was rustic yet elegant and our guests loved the whole loft area. However, beware of the miscommunication from management. Our guests, and the groom were told they could not order premium liquor even at the bar with thier own money. The groom was told ahead of time by Sandra that he would be more than able to order an Old Fashioned (his favorite cocktail) and when he asked for it, he was told no and to “not kill the messenger.” All of this happened even after I had to initiate a 30 minute conference call prior to the wedding to iron out details. I’ve sent the restaurant an email regarding my issues and have yet to hear anything in response. I am disappointed and certainly didn’t travel from Indiana and have our guests pay money to travel and pay premium dollar to have a Mccormocks vodka and soda and be embarrassed in front of our friends and family.

My husband and I were recently married at the Black Canyon Inn, which I have nothing but wonderful things to say about. We had the reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse, which was quite a different story. From the start the owner was unprofessional, not accommodating, and just plain rude. Whenever I had a question, it took her a while to get back to me and her response was usually less than one sentence. When asked if she could provide my DJ with an 8' table her response was 'no', I had to write back and ask for she had a 6' table instead. Originally she said we could store our cake (which we brought up the day before the wedding), when we arrived they told us they would not be able to store it. The day of the wedding the staff went though our photographers photo booth and proceeded to play with and take pictures of themselves during our ceremony. When we went to set up the reception hall the women's toilet was clogged from what appeared to be the night before, they had no urgency to fix the problem. The manager working our reception was rude, told us we had to rearrange our reception schedule to better accommodate her staff. The salad dressing was uneatable (listed as a fresh raspberry dressing) it was more like raspberry jam with so many seeds it was terrible. The steak was awful. We had a buffet line, and chicken fingers for the children, an elderly guest requested one chicken finger instead of the other meat options and the staff rudely replied "Thats for the kids only" and refused to serve him. Its really a shame such a beautiful facility has such terrible service.

The restaurant had left a pile of about 15-20 chairs in the room, which isn't that big to start, we only had a wedding of 40 people. When we asked if the could be moved (b/c it looked so disorderly and tacky) we were told no, there was no other space. Then, we had several pies that needed to be put in a refrigerator, we offered to help put them up, she once again shut us down ( despite our immediacy) and told us she needed to wait for the chef to find the best place.
When we arrived to twin owls after the ceremony, all of the pies had been laid out, except the cheesecake, which the bride and groom were using in place of a wedding cake. When we went to Julie asking for it, she told us plainly there is no cheesecake. The brides mother then stepped in and told Julie, "there is a cheesecake I brought it myself." But Julie still refused the cakes existence. So, the brides mother said she would find it herself and after minutes of locating it, Julie's only response was, " it was in a location I would have never put it." As the night went on, Julie and another service yelled and scolded guests for going to the bar instead of letting them take their order (not ask nicely or politely). Then at the end of the night, Julie had the audacity to come up to the bride and hand her the bill and told her she would like to go home, that she was the first one there in the morning and would rather not be the last. ive worked in the restauarant business gor years and never witnessed such a rudeness, especially during someones wedding celebration. in all, don't have your reception here or if you do ask for someone other than Julie!
