Married at Turning Stone Farm in September 2022

My husband and I got married at Turning Stone Farm in 2022 and cannot say enough wonderful things about Jennifer, her team, and her gorgeous event space. My husband was born and raised in Vermont and we knew we wanted to get married here, but so many venues we looked at felt cookie cutter. Turning Stone Farm is the real deal, and the restoration job is beautifully done.

Jennfier helped guide us in how to use the space to best suit our needs, and did a flawless job of coordinating and setup, even keeping an eye on small details we'd forgotten—like making sure our ceremony flowers got moved inside for the reception and moving our polaroid cameras to a place where people would remember to use them. She and her team are so kind and lovely to work with. We're so glad we had our wedding here!

    Beyond our Wildest Dreams

We got married at Turning Stone Farm in September of 2022 and despite having visited the venue a few times before and being very familiar with the area, the wedding night still managed to exceed our wildest expectations! Not only is the farm a uniquely magical and beautiful venue, there is the sense that the barn and it’s surrounding are not merely a backdrop to your wedding, but a part of the event itself. Our guests all noted the “choose your own adventure” feeling of our wedding, as people enjoyed music and dancing indoors, the massive bonfire out back, or spreading out on the lawn to look at the blood red harvest moon that rose over the field! No matter which way you turned, Turning Stone Farm delivered something amazing.
In addition to the beauty of the venue itself, Jennifer Ranz was exceptional at helping us put our big day together. Communicative and attentive throughout the entire process we also were greatly aided by hiring her as a day-of-coordinator, as she was familiar with all of the vendors and ensured everything ran smoothly, so we could focus on our family and friends. She also took the time to get to know us and better understand what we wanted so that the wedding we had envisioned was brought to fruition.
If you’re looking to get married amidst the majestic grandeur of the Northeast Kingdom, there is no better place than Turning Stone Farm! Plus, Jennifer’s two dogs are the best!

AMAZING experience from start to finish.

Our wedding day would not have been the same without Turning Stone Farm. This venue was not only beautiful but Jennifer and her team went the extra mile for us in everything they did. I felt like I was home the second we got out of the car at the farm. The view outside AND inside the barn couldn't have been more perfect. She had a vendor list that saved us so much headache (and money) and stuck around to help us get everything together until the very last minute. They put on a bonfire that our family and friends still talk about and if you think this place is beautiful during the day, just wait until it's lit up at night. This truly made our wedding day feel like a dream. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing.

    Such a beautiful wedding venue!

We had a very beautiful and perfect wedding at Turning Stone Farm in September 2019! Jennifer and her family were great to work with and accommodating of our style and theme for the day. Our family and friends loved the venue and how "Vermont" everything was. Highly recommend working with Turning Stone Farm for next event!

    We love Turning Stone!

My husband and I lived in the area and were friends with Jennifer long before we got married. She is a talented gardener and artist and has spent years lovingly restoring the barn on her property. It is in great shape, but also retains a sense of what it used to be, a place where animals lived and hay was stored.

In terms of the wedding, what thrilled us was the simplicity. We did absolutely no decorating - the barn and lights are beautiful as is. We put some flowers on Jennifer's tables and were ready to go!

Jennifer has some great contacts for local caterers, bartenders, photographers, etc. Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, but getting married here is a great way to support Greensboro's economy and the wonderful people who live there.

The Greensboro Barn is beautiful and captures everything I love about Vermont. Great for pictures, and plenty of room indoors for seating, buffet style food a bar and a dance floor. Outdoors there was plenty of space to spread out for lawn games, cocktail hour and making the rounds to guests. Jennifer was helpful with any questions we had and working with the other vendors.

The Greensboro Barn is an absolutely gorgeous, unique site for a wedding. The barn is beautiful, with plenty of space for a large dance party, bartender, plenty of dining tables, and buffet. My husband and I had a rather large wedding so we also opted to rent a tent right outside the barn as well. The land and grounds are stunning. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and has relationships with a lot of excellent vendors in the area. If you want the authentic, beautiful Vermont wedding, this is the spot.

The Greensboro Barn was the best possible location for our son's wedding last year. The scenery is beautiful, the barn spacious and interesting, and Jennifer and Naomi did everything they could to make the rehearsal dinner (pizza truck!), afternoon wedding, dinner and dancing beyond special.

Many people have since told us it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We highly recommend this amazing venue!

Greensboro is a special place and the Barn is magnificent and authentic. We were so glad to be able to celebrate in this spot, surrounded by family and friends - the first of many extended family weddings here!

    best weekend ever!!

We got married at Turning Stone Farm in August 2019, and it was a truly amazing experience from start to finish. Originally we planned on getting married in upstate New York, where my husband is from, but even doing a backyard wedding for our guest list size was costly and felt like a hassle. As a result, we looked farther out, and couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Jennifer, the owner of the barn, was prompt and responsive the entire planning process, and helpfully connected us with local vendors for all of our needs. Every one in Greensboro who is in the wedding industry knows each other, which was a huge help sifting through potential vendors and for streamlining the process day-of (and every one is super nice, including her son and daughter who helped us with sound and day-of coordination). We arrived on Friday around noon and left on Sunday, and I was able to coordinate a private yoga session on site for all my bridesmaids in the morning with Sophia (highly recommend to anyone!). The barn is beautiful, it’s a unique and magical spot for a wedding, or any celebration, really. It’s dog friendly and kid-friendly, if that’s what you want at your wedding; there’s plenty of places for both to run around without worries about cars, getting lost in the woods, etc. There is beautiful art decorating the wall and an eclectic chair collection, and the bridal suite is spacious and super comfortable. There are cool little side areas (connected to the main area but separated) with comfortable chairs and tables, where we set up the bar, which was great for our older guests later in the evening or friends when they wanted to get away from the dance floor. The tables and chairs provided by Jennifer and included in the rental fee are high quality, comfortable, and gorgeous. While weather was perfect on 8/24 (a nice 70 degrees and mostly sunny), our rain contingency plan would have been perfect as well—inside the barn in front of the big open window and rain on the barn roof. The fairy lights and “wooden cathedral” effect of the high ceilings lend itself to a beautiful, warm, relaxed, and slightly whimsical theme, which feels rustic without being totally in the woods or country. Truly, pictures don’t do the “feel” of Turning Stone Farm justice. One thing I really enjoyed about it is that Jennifer lets you decorate and encourages your creativity — we added fairy lights, dusty rose runners to the farm tables, huge lush bouquets (from Eva at Blossoming Bough in Greensboro, VT, who I also highly recommend), and filled thrifted mismatched glass vases with water and floating candles for extra warmth, all tied together with silver dollar eucalyptus and gold accents. While it’s a bit more work on your end compared to someone who decorates for you in an all-inclusive package, you can really make it your own. To be honest, though, the venue carries itself; it doesn’t need much at all because it’s so stately and special. We got married in the garden, family photos in the pear orchard, had cocktail hour by the barn, and enjoyed the reception in the barn itself. We had a bonfire at the end of the night and some friends stayed over night to camp on-site, and others stayed in nearby Air B&Bs (we provided a shuttle that ran back and forth). The one thing I wish I had clarified was when the night would end - I was under the impression that we were allowed to hang out until late as long as we kept music low, but we had to start clearing people out around midnight. However, the barn is attached to Jennifer’s home and I completely understand wrapping up around then, especially with a bunch of people around a big fire after drinking for several hours. Regardless, it was an amazing evening and Jennifer and her lovely family really made it happen. They were a joy to work with and the space is beautiful—I’m still hearing compliments directly and through the grapevine. Thank you so much Jennifer and the TSF team!

We both love old barns, and the fact that Ken grew up on a farm and that we live in our own barn on what was his grandparents' old farm, made The Greensboro Barn the obvious choice for us to hold our wedding. I had already seen pictures of the artist's family weddings held there over the years whenever I stopped to visit, and just knew our wedding would be memorable in her barn. It was! The views are breathtaking and the venue is magical, regardless of weather. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our special day in her beautiful barn. She has truly made it a special place!

Gorgeous place to have a rehearsal or wedding ceremony. We did our rehearsal dinner here and it was fantastic.
