Wow! Even a few days after our incredible ceremony we are still absolutely stunned. The circumstances couldn't have been more unusual, the timeframe couldn't have been shorter, but still every detail of the ceremony was wonderfully taken care of. In the beginning, we had very little knowledge of what to expect, but Tulis gave us a great inspiration and a plan how she would create our individual ceremony and we instantly got excited. Tulis wasn't just an officiant, but also a priceless guide, mentor, always calm no matter how turbulent the situation was and borrowed a hand when the preparations got stressful. Our guests, both on site and on Zoom were thrilled. Thank you for making our special day that exciting! -

What an amazing ceremony!
Tulis went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding ceremony. Her process is tried and true. She kept in contact with us the entire time and got our complete OK to make sure everything we wanted said made it to our ceremony. She captured our story perfectly and made our guests really see the love we have for each other. What a truly unique experience! -

Easy & fun

We highly recommend Tulis McCall!
Tulis McCall was our marriage officiant in NYC just a month ago. Looking back, we couldn’t have made a better choice for our wedding. Although we approached her very last minute, Tulis was outright accommodating and extremely professional, offering good advice and directions regarding the paperwork as well. What matters most though, is that Tulis was very considerate and respectful. She really listened at how we envisioned our wedding and tailored our ceremony accordingly, so it became very personal to us and our story as a couple. Her words were absolutely touching and meaningful, but also embellished with an incredible sense of humor, overall turning our wedding into a uniquely sentimental and fun experience. It was clear that she was genuinely happy for us, enjoyed the moment as much as we did, and truly became part of it. All our friends and family were in tears (happy ones of course!) throughout. Fantastic small wedding
Tulis was amazing and fit our wedding perfectly. She not only gave multiple options, but she also was somehow able to customize the ceremony in a way that felt like she had known us for years. We are so thankful to have found Tulis and that she was able to create the ceremony we had hoped for. -

The perfect officiant
The first phone call ended with a crazy laugh. That was a good sign. Tulis is wonderful. She was available and responsive to our special requests while remaining discrete. The ceremony itself was nothing short of perfect. She wrote a witty and sincere text that made the moment truly special. It was honestly a pleasant surprise and we are both grateful and lucky to have found her. Do not hesitate! -

Tulis was truly amazing! We eloped to New York with only one guest my Grandmother, I wanted my Grandma involved in the ceremony and Tulis made sure to include her so beautifully in the ceremony speech she wrote. Can't get any better than this!
Trust me when I tell you this, my guests were floored when Tulis officiated our wedding. She was very attentive and held our hands through the magical moment. Tulis understands that everyone, including our guests, should be connected through this experience. Still to this day, our guests are always in awe that Tulis was able to detail our love story in her majestic way. They just always presumed she was our long-time friend who heard our love story over the past years but that's how Tulis uses her extraordinary skills and experience to wow us. It's safe to say that although Tulis was not a long time friend before our wedding, she will be one now. -

I attended Elizabeth and Ed’s wedding as a birthday party - mine. It was 5 of our birthdays within a week and Elizabeth had the idea to throw a big party for all of us. When we showed up it turned out to be a wedding in addition. Tulis as head of ceremonies / justice of the peace broke the news to the gathering and proceeded to fill us all in on Elizabeth and Ed’s whirlwind romance and partnership. Personal, caring, professional and fun!
Tulis is a very professional, warm and caring celebrant who will really get to know you as a couple.
Our ceremony was personal, intimate and funny - it really captured the essence of our relationship.
We travelled from the UK for our wedding and Tulis went above and beyond by making herself available to us online beforehand. She gave us that local knowledge that proved essential for planning a destination wedding. We simply cannot thank her enough!

Suprise Wedding!

Tulis is amazing. The manner in which she crafted such a special service which completely honoured us and reflected who we are was phenomenal. Our friends who have travelled from the other side of the world to be with us all said the same thing. That it was the best wedding they had ever attended. It’s testimony to the fact that Tulis is very intuitive. She really gets to know you really well. By the end of the ceremony you feel that you have just been married by a good friend. I can’t recommend Tulis enough. The Skype calls beforehand really made us feel we had made a great choice. And having access to the content of the ceremony beforehand put everything at ease. We found Tulis to be very supportive in this process. We traded multiple emails and held Skype calls as she was very interested in getting to know us and our history together. With exception to my Bride, Tulis had the most important role at our wedding and boy did she nail it. She set the tone for a great wedding and beautiful day. Anyone who is trying to make their ceremony just as special as the rest of the day should speak with Tulis! I was a bit particular in that I wanted a ceremony that showcased the two of us and how our love for each other developed. She was able to capture our lives succinctly and had the entire room convinced she had known us for a very long time. Throughout our cocktail hour all our guests inquired how we knew such a great friend to marry us. Tulis was exceptionally professional while still being entirely personable. She offered great guidance with our ceremony, tailoring it just as we hoped it would be. I was sold on Tulis the moment I watched her website video, and even more so after meeting her in person and having her transform us into a married couple. I cannot recommend her enough! -

As a gay couple trying to put together a small wedding, Tulis exceeded beyond anyone's expectations. A friend who attended (a cultural writer) who had seen 30 or more weddings said it was the most beautiful ceremony he had assisted. No small praise from a discerning and observant person. She was co-operative in every sense and a pleasure to work with. Tulis's interest in theater pays off in dividends for the celebrants. -

Tulis McCall was the celebrant for our wedding in January 2016 (New York City). After meeting her, we discovered a mutual love for literature and films with her. Although this was a great ice-breaker, Tulis is naturally easy to talk to and an attentive listener. Her communication and inclusiveness remained excellent throughout.
Tulis made an effort to get to know us personally, as a couple and as individuals. She crafted a beautiful ceremony for us, truly in the spirit of the journey that led us to our wedding day. On the wedding day, Tulis met us at the venue (a small community theatre in Greenwich Village), met our families, and offered some additional guidance ahead of the ceremony. Her wit, wisdom and care were evident in every step of the process, and we loved the highly personal ceremony that she designed with us. Our closest loved ones, those who witnessed the ceremony, agreed. Tulis was a wonderful part of our wedding day, and we won’t hesitate to recommend her services.

Tulis was incredible. She put us at ease in our wedding planning process, and created such a unique ceremony. Not only did she help us cross the bridge into married life, but she helped us communicate to our families just how much they mean to us. I'd recommend her to anyone. It feels fake to rate someone 5 stars on each quality, but in the case of Tulis, it's totally true. All of my vendors were truly amazing, but if there was one that the guests called out the most, it would be Tulis. She has a style and presence that immediately captures your attention and you sit on the edge of your seat waiting to hear what she'll say. She was committed to developing a ceremony that was truly about my husband and I, and not two generic people. The guests were laughing, and crying, as were we. She was simply perfect. Love love love. Do not look anywhere else if you want a unique, beautiful, once in a lifetime experience. -

Tulis McCall is an exceptional officiant. She brought a beautiful and meaningful tone to our daughter's wedding ceremony. She spent a lot of time learning about my daughter and her fiancee's relationship through meeting with them and asking their loved ones for information. The service was more personal than any I had ever witnessed. So many of the guests raved about Tulis after the service and we were all so pleased. -

Tulis celebrated our ceremony in November this year and even though we went with the most basic package, she customized the ceremony perfectly. She wowed us from day one when I literally picked her on a whim. We had a long chat after and she got to know us and at the end of it all, we were so happy we chose her to be our officiant. Tulis was amazing and made the ceremony so personal, you'd have thought she was a life long friend, she is very friendly and personable, all our friends and family loved it and we did too. We thought it might be quite difficult organising our wedding from another country but Tulis made this aspect of our wedding day run very smoothly and was happy to wait around when people were running late, we knew from the first Skype interview that she was the person we wanted to do our wedding ceremony and we are very glad that she did, it was a day we will never forget, very highly recommended. -

We would highly recommend Tulis as an Wedding Officiant. Our wedding was a small event which Tulis helped to make extremely special.
She was very professional right from the start through the ceremony. She helped us put together our wedding vows, customized the ceremony to our needs and was very respectful of our wishes.

We found Tulis online and we immediately liked her honesty and less traditional approach. We had a call with her to talk about the ceremony (about one month before) and then exchanged emails until we got to the ceremony that we wanted. Tulis was so professional and flexible - and understanding when faced with our crazy travel and work schedules! On the day, she met us 30 minutes before the ceremony, which was great to put a face to a name. The ceremony itself was just what we wanted - personal and personalized. Tulis provided comprehensive reading and vow options, which we then made our own. Our guests all commented on Tulis's individual style - something that helped our wedding be what we wanted it to be: unique, intimate, and special to us. We couldn't have asked for anything more from a celebrant and would heartily recommend Tulis to anyone wanting a non-religious personal ceremony with personality. Thank you Tulis! -

Tulis was fantastic, and made our New York wedding day so special, and effortless. She met with Jon and I a via Skype to get to know us and to find out what type of wedding we wanted. She then followed up by sending each of us a questionnaire that we each filled out separately. She then crafted a custom ceremony taking the information from our initial meeting and our questionnaire. It was everything we hoped for: funny, touching, and just well..... very us. We received so many compliments from our friends and family at the wedding, commenting that Tulis did a wonderful job of "nailing" who we are. We had a spectacular day full of wonderful memories! I do have to say though...... Tulis truly was the highlight of our wedding! Of all of the wonderful things we saw, did, ate etc, ALL of our guests have commented on what a beautiful, considered and personal ceremony she conducted!! (one of our friends even got in trouble for saying it was better than his own wedding ceremony!)
We were arranging a ceremony form Australia, so our initial contact with Tulis was all via email & Skype. However, Tulis was reliable, efficient and friendly. She made it all so easy. We also felt like we really knew Tulis well befoe ether big day, and she even arranged for us to meet up for a casual drink in NYC before the big day- a lovely consideration.
The ceremony showed that Tulis had a rally good understanding of us individually, and us as a couple. Everyone commented that it felt like she had known us forever!

Our guests couldn't stop raving about the amazing job Tulis did. Our vows were so well-written, heartfelt and personal, people were convinced that we had known her for years. Tulis McCall's ceremonies would be more aptly described as a gift you give your guests. Our guests were alternately laughing and crying throughout the ceremony and soon we started to see couples leaning over to kiss each other, arms being linked, and children being hugged. Everyone left our wedding in a bubble of love and connection. One of our friends texted me days later to say "I'm still drunk on love. Who was that woman?" It was like Tulis made the rest of the world stand still for us.
Other celebrants we considered approached this as simply a job whereas Tulis poured her whole heart into writing and delivering our ceremony, making us feel as though we were being married by our best friend. She took a casual get-to-know you conversation over coffee and a fairly simple questionnaire and wrote the most warm, personal, and touching ceremony for us. It took me three reads before I could get through it without crying! She wove wit and warmth into our ceremony which reflected our personalities perfectly. If you are a unique couple who wants a ceremony that tells your story with wit, warmth and affection, then you only need consider Tulis McCall. -

We wanted to get away and do a destination wedding. What a better place than New York City to do so, we thought. It was risky not knowing anybody in the city. The first service I decided to research was a wedding officiant/celebrant. I was very impressed with Tulis' presence online but needed to confirm that she was for real. She took the time on our first phone call to professionally introduce herself and her services. Once we decided to go with her (because to be honest, the rest of the officiants were not as available and open as she was to an initial phone call and returning e-mails), she scheduled a Skype interview with the both of us. She probed us, and talked to us in detail. She made us laugh and cry...and this was just the Skype interview, which will lead her to planning our beautiful ceremony in NYC. The time finally arrived and there we were, getting married in Central Park with Tulis as our officiant and a small group of family and friends. What an unforgettable moment, and what an outstanding job Tulis did! She was warm, funny, prepared, and eloquent. I would recommend Tulis to anybody that wants the level of service and attention that one deserves in such special moment of life. You won't be disappointed. -

My husband and I started planning our wedding only a few weeks before the big day. Since I was in Europe and he was in the U.S., and both of us were dealing with very hectic schedules, we only had time to meet with Tulis once—over Skype! Needless to say, I was a little concerned about how the ceremony would turn out but am happy to report that the result of that meeting was truly astounding.
Tulis met us and our family and friends for the first time on a cold January morning on a bridge in Central Park. The ceremony she delivered was funny, professional and, most importantly, extremely touching—it felt like she’d known us for years. Even the most reserved of our family members were moved to tears.

We gave Tulis less than two weeks notice of our event and told her we wanted something special and unique that would truly bring our family and friends together and make them smile. She made herself immediately available, listened to us, and created a beautifully customized ceremony based on our story. Our guests still comment on how personalized and heartfelt the ceremony was and how much they learned about us. The sprinkling of humor and surprises helped to make it all the more memorable. We genuinely feel that Tulis was the best decision we made for our ceremony. -

Tulis was our celebrant at our amazing wedding , and it wouldn't have been the same without her. From the 6am calls ( 6am her end , she was in the states and we were in Dublin Ireland), to the wonderful emails and updates, she made sure we thought of everything.
All our family and friends adored her, and to be honest, we knew they would. She chatted to them all like old friends.
Our ceromny was perfect, she managed to make it 100% about us! without boring our family's to death.
Would we recommend her? Without a doubt, she was as important as the cake ,or the first dance, it wouldn't have been the same without her.

We met with Tulis on recommendation from our venue (Bryant Park Grill) and my now husband instantly knew we didn't have to look any further. She's extremely friendly, responsive, timely, professional, knowledgeable and experienced as an officiant and it was such a relief to not have to worry about such an integral part of my wedding. The ceremony speech she wrote was personal, humorous, and touching, and many of my guests came up to me afterwards to praise how appropriate the ceremony was for my husband and me. I would pick Tulis again in a heartbeat if I had to do it again, and I can't recommend her enough for all you soon to be brides. -

Tulis was a lot of fun, we came out from Australia to get married in Central Park, Tulis put us in contact with an excellent photographer also. Tulis's personality lightened things up and relaxed us both, when we needed it.
We had a great day in trying weather conditions, it rained heavily just prior to the ceremony and was very humid for the rest of the day. Tulis found us a really good location with some shade near a lake which added to the ambiance, and her words were very relevant and special to us.
If you want a person who will customise to suit your occasion and personality, and bring her own unique personality then Tulis is the right person for you! -

Tulis was an absolute blessing. We were concerned about finding someone who could truly understand what the ceremony meant to us - as a German marrying a first generation American of Haitian/Cuban heritage, as an atheist marrying a Catholic, as two divorced people remarrying and finding the unimaginable in one another. Our love developed quickly after meeting and we wanted someone who could honor our passion. Tulis far exceeded all of our expectations. She got to really know us and asked us questions which made is think farther and deeper into our relationship. Our guests were astonished by the intimate areas of our nature that she touched upon during the ceremony. The readings she provided were heart captivating. Many of the guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended.
Tulis is one of kind - this is her gift and calling. We will be forever grateful to Tulis for making this day one of the most amazing of our lives.
If you don't want a cookie cutter wedding, but one where the officiant honors you, you can do no better than Tulis.

Tulis is a true professional and exactly the type of calm and knowledgeable officiant we needed to run our ceremony...which was, without a doubt, the most important part of our day.
Our wedding was planned in just over 5 weeks and, thanks to Tulis, we were able to get the ceremony squared away quickly.
Our ceremony took place at the Ladies' Pavilion in Central Park and we relied heavily on Tulis' experience with regard to securing the venue and procuring the necessary permits (photographers/videographers, string quartet, etc...).
When it comes to the actual text she delivered, Tulis was very accommodating and allowed us to edit nearly every aspect of the content (multiple times!) to fit our needs.

Tulis was great. As soon as we met her we knew she was the one for the "job". We didn't want the standard vows and she put together a lovely celebration of Kat and I using personal details that made it easy for friends and family (even those we may not have seen in a while) to feel like they were sharing in our personal Greatest Day Ever. Tulis McCall was a perfect officiant. My now-husband and I had been searching for someone who would listen to what we wanted, would incorporate our requests, and create the right vibe for our wedding day. We met with Tulis several weeks before the wedding, and I got an easy, relaxed, sense from her. She has a great deal of experience being an officiant in New York, and definitely knows what she's doing when it comes to weddings, which has a calming effect for a nervous bride/groom-to-be. Tulis worked with us to build the ideal vows and ceremony. We had intended on surprising our guests with the ceremony, and she loved the idea - working with us to build the words that would guide our guests through the initial surprise of the ceremony. We incorporated humor, our history, and our aspirations for our future. It was funny, lighthearted, and momentous. Tulis was nothing short of incredible. She has made understanding her clients a science, and truly got to know us from the inside out before our ceremony. She's smart, engaging, funny, and somehow figured out how to express our sentiments better than we could ever have done ourselves. Tulis was wonderful, she saved the day! We originally planned to get married at City Hall in New York City on 11/11/11. We did not realize that it was Veterans Day, we found out they were going to be closed with less than one month until our wedding day. We search online and found Tulis. She agreed to marry us on short notice and she was so helpful with location ideas. We got married in Central Park on a bridge overlooking a pond. It was more than we could have ever expected, it was beautiful day, all the leaves were exploding with fall colors of red, orange and yellow. The ceremony was very special and her words were filled with sincerity and meaning. I would recommend her strongly and we will never forget the wonderful memories she help to create. -

Tulis officiated our secular NYC wedding, and she was phenomenal.
We had a Skype call 9 months before the wedding to make sure we would all get along before she agreed to work with us. We selected her White Glove Package, which meant that she worked extremely closely with us, our families, and our siblings to craft our dream ceremony. She sent questionnaires to each of us to get a sense of personalities, and to gather anecdotes and advice from our families, and she also provided many examples of ceremony timelines, layouts, example readings, and elements we could include. We were able to meet with her in person to ask questions and go over a few things. Tulis provided multiple drafts of the ceremony, and the final text about a week before the wedding, so we didn't have to worry about anything. She also offered to read the ceremony to us over Skype, though we opted to forego that part of her services.
Our 30-minute wedding ceremony was incredibly beautiful. It was personal, moving, funny, and everything we wanted. We received SO many compliments on the ceremony itself and on Tulis' warm and welcoming presentation. The best compliment we received was from a cousin who said she had not known us that well before the ceremony, but afterwards, she felt she knew us inside and out.

Planning a wedding is difficult enough, but my fiancé (now husband) and I were remotely planning a wedding to be held in NYC on a yacht no less. Most of the vendors were easy to source, but finding someone who could provide a meaningful non religious ceremony proved very difficult, until we stumbled upon Tulis McCall’s website. She worked with us and crafted one of the most wonderful ceremonies I have ever witnessed. Perhaps you will consider me biased, (I am talking about my wedding after all), however three months later our guests aren’t remarking about how good the cake was, how beautiful my dress was, or how much fun they had on the dance floor… they are all taking about what a wonderful ceremony Tulis created for us. Through interviewing us and having us complete a questionnaire about our courtship, Tulis took our story and wove it into a creative and unique ceremony. This service fully expressed how and why my husband and I were choosing to get married. She is a beautiful storyteller who had all of our guests (who ranged in ages from 4-80 and came from four continents) engaged in the ceremony. Tulis was wonderful. After the ceremony, literally every person we spoke to was raving about what a great job our officiant did. My wife and I were thrilled to know that our ceremony accurately reflected our true personalities. What we learned from the process, is that your ceremony will reflect as much of yourself as you are willing to invest in the process with your officiant. This begins with the initial interview, continues with a lengthy questionnaire and then finally reaches it's crescendo as you swap drafts of the actual ceremony in the weeks leading up to the big day. This can be a somewhat delicate process depending on how actively involved you choose to be in the writing, but Tulis honored all of our wishes and helped us create a ceremony we couldn't be happier with. We were having a non-religious and interfaith wedding at our NYC venue and wanted someone to deliver a personal and unique ceremony. We found Tulis and liked her from our first phone conversation.
