Book Trystan Photography

Book Trystan Photography!! We used them for our wedding in Breckenrige in October and absolutely LOVE our photos. Not only do they take beautiful photos, they are really fun to work with!

Absolutely loved them!

This is the only review I have ever written in my life. We used them for our wedding on May 13, 2018 and we could not be happier. Even if you are awkward/non-photogenic they will still make you look amazing!! Arrived on time, great price, great personalities, and they tell you if it's your hair (etc.) is out of place.They respond very fast to all of your questions etc. They are extremely talented and it is VERY clear they know what they are doing.
The angles of the shots were amazing. I thought they were amazing but after going to a few weddings since my own wedding I REALLY realized how thankful I was to have them. With their talent they could charge a lot more! Plus you get two photographers for the price of one! They WILL make your wedding photos (etc) look amazing!!! They were very professional but also personal and fun! We found our photographers for life!!

Amazing people, amazing photos

Cannot say enough amazing things!!! I am not usually a fan of taking photos but Trig and Char made it easy, quick, and enjoyable!!! They were easy to work with, laid back, and accommodated our every need leading up to and on our wedding day. The photos themselves are even better than the experience, and we are thrilled that we found such a wonderful set of people to work with.

Trystan Photography...there are no words!!! They are absolutely amazing and they work so hard to ensure you are 100% happy! Trig and Char are incredible people who can even make people who hate taking photos (my husband) enjoy taking photos!! They will do whatever it takes to make sure you get the best possible photos...even if it means Trig laying on the ground in the middle of a crowd (which is a great site to see). I am so happy we chose them as our wedding photographers and we HIGHLY recommend them for all of your photography needs...you won't be sorry!!!

Trystan Photography exceeded my wildest expectations – our wedding photos are beyond amazing! Viewing the photos allowed us to relive the whole day; they truly captured the spirit of our ceremony and reception. Trig was so easy to work with, he made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable during our shoot and the end results are magazine-worthy. Trystan Photography provided us with both artistic and dramatic shoots, as well as fun and formal portraits. They can truly do everything! Definitely five stars!

Trystan Photography captured our destination wedding (Boulder, CO) in July 2015 and we simply cannot go without saying that their service is absolutely impeccable. After enquiring online we received a very prompt reply and soon arranged a Skype meeting; within minutes of meeting Trig and getting a sense of his fun, genuine and professional personality we knew it would be OUR privilege to have them capture what was the best day of our lives.
Trystan Photography is a family run business; Trig and Charlotte are husband and wife and let’s just say they work flawlessly together, they both have certain strengths that provides the best possible team balance. Charlotte is kind, helpful, structured and dedicated to ensuring everything was provided to expectation and to the contract, we had an hour long phone call the week of our wedding to run through the schedule and together made a list of requested photos, Charlotte carried this checklist with her on the day to ensure nothing was missed. On the other hand, Trig is creative and as I’ve mentioned above FUN, he has that natural ability to make photos look anything but rehearsed.
It was my dream to have professional photos offsite, in the mountains, and as we we’re running quite a bit behind schedule (microphone issues) I thought this may mean it wouldn’t come true, but together Trig and Charlotte proved that nothing is impossible! We managed to leave the venue, sprint up Chautauqua Mountain and returned on schedule, it truly was a memorable experience.
And THEN, 2 weeks after our amazing day, we get a sneak peak of the images. I usually have words (lots of them) but here I’ve struggled to piece a sentence… MIND BLOWING, EXCEPTIONAL, TO-DIE-FOR. I relive the special moment at each picture seen; the emotion and memories captured are ones you’ll cherish forever. We are so excited to see the rest of our photos and to commence building our album, there’s no doubt it will be exquisite.

I knew from the moment that I met Trig & Char that I wanted them to be my wedding photographers. What I didn't know was that I would also hire them for videography for our wedding. Trig was awesome at our meeting and laid out all the options for us. It was a relief during a stressful "planning" time. We had a great engagement shoot at the Garden of the Gods with Trig, & he captured some gorgeous photos. I talked with Char on the phone the week of the wedding to review my "photography checklist" of photos that I would like taken during the wedding day. Based on the timeline that I was working on, and the photos requested, she helped me to make a timeline of how and when we would get each shot/group of shots. I was and am so thankful for their professionalism before, during, and after our wedding. I was never once worried or stressed about the photography/videography aspect of our day. Trig, Char, & their crew delivered flawlessly on our big day, & blended in seamlessly with our guests. For months after the wedding I had people asking, "Where did you find your photographers?! They are awesome!" Our wedding photos could not have turned out any better. I'm going to be honest, I still can't decide what I want big prints of because they are just all so good, & I don't have that much wall space :) THEN we got our wedding videos. Photography captures special moments that we will never forget, but videography will help us relieve our "best day ever" in a 5 1/2 minute short film. If anyone is on the fence about doing videography at your wedding (I was actually convinced that I was not going to have videography), you must do it! It's once in a lifetime, it's your day, you want to capture every moment and be able to relieve those emotions when you watch the video of your love story. Just look at Trig & Char's work with their photography & videography and you will see why you must have both! I recommend them to anyone needing an awesome wedding photographer/videographer.

Trystan Photography was an excellent choice for our destination wedding in Breckenridge, Colorado! Not only were both Trig and Char so friendly and fun, but they new exactly what they were doing! I was relieved that they took charge and guided us around Breckenridge for the perfect shots, since we were from out of state and clueless as to where to go other than "on top of the mountain" and "on Main Street". They put up with our large wedding party of 24 and listened to all of my shot requests (I'm kind of a detail freak). Trig made sure I got everything that I wanted and asked for even after I received all of my photos back. They were very patient and the best couple to work with! Our photos turned out AMAZING and everyone cannot get over how much they almost look fake because they were so beautiful. Trystan Photography definitely knows how to capture the best, natural moments so we didn't end up with tons of posed photos that we would never do anything with. We couldn't have asked for better photographers to work with. Thank you so much Trig and Char for capturing our special day! :-)

Trystan Photography could not have done a better job. They captured all the beauty and emotion of the day. The pictures are gorgeous and of the highest quality. Trig and Char made everyone feel comfortable, and they were able to bring out the personalities of the bridal party, relatives and friends. The albums were amazing too. They captured the story of the wedding day from the beginning to the end. We will have forever memories of this special day because of the beautiful photography.

We loved working with Trig and Charlotte! My biggest concern while wedding planning was that I would have trouble finding the right photographer, but that fear disappeared after our first consultation with Trig. Trig and Charlotte are fun loving and laid back while remaining extremely focused and organized. They make it easy to remain relaxed and natural -- and it shows in the photos! After our engagement session, I was confident that our wedding photos would be wonderful. But when we received them (on time as promised), I was truly blown away! They captured every detail of our day perfectly. I cannot recommend them enough!

Trig and Charlotte were amazing! I have been looking at their photos since my now husband mentioned getting married at the USAFA Chapel. Everyone at the wedding was impressed with them. I got tons of compliments on how they handled the babies in the chapel for pics and how efficiently they had us all set up and moving on. The aisle shot was PERFECT! There was a moment Char was second guessing a shot and Trig told her she had it multiple times and my new husband and I had to smile, what a wonderful feeling knowing you are trusting your wedding photos to two amazing photographers who back each other and want to get the shots...perfect! They definitely added to the atmosphere in a positive way and I am so very blessed they were there!! The best part is my pictures were done 8 weeks to the day as promised, after a little facebook chiding from Trig :), and they looked AMAZING!!! I got my prints in the mail today and am in love with them!!! Could not picture my day with out them there to capture it and truly appreciate all the goofy face and silly noises to get the kiddos(and adults) to smile.

Trig and Char were awesome photographers and brought a lot of fun to our wedding. The pictures turned out great, and we felt we got quite a bit of value for our money. I especially liked that Trystan Photography releases all of the images to you digitally so you can do whatever you like with them. After all - you are paying for them. Great job!

Oh My Goodness! Trygve and Charlotte are amazing! They are fun and interactive with everyone but do NOT detract from the event itself. They make something as mundane as posing for photographs a sure joy. Everyone loved them and commented on how amazing they were. But best of all, the PHOTOGRAPHS. I can't tell you how many compliments I have received for how wonderful they look. I could stare at them all day long. Believe me, I have never been someone who likes photographs. I would rather take the picture than be in them, but that day Trygve and Charlotte made me look and feel like a princess. It was the best day of my life and I have the pictures to prove it.

We absolutely love Trig and Charlotte. This was truly one of the best investments with regards to the wedding. Trig and Charlotte do an amazing job! I have been using them for many years and have never been disappointed. They did an amazing job on our wedding and they've also done beautiful pictures of my daughter. They work amazing together and I was so happy they agreed to travel all the way to Telluride for our wedding, because I couldn't imagine anyone else doing my wedding photography! Trig & Charlotte from Trystan Photography were GREAT! They joined us for our remote high-country wedding and we couldn't have been happier. They were easy to work with and took AMAZING photos. Having two photographers was really nice, since they could capture multiple things at a time, or from different viewpoints. Their photos are beautiful and artistic. I only wish that I had them come earlier and stay longer. Whatever you do, do not skimp on photography for your wedding - this is one day you'll never want to forget!

Obviously picking a photographer for your wedding is a huge deal - i would know. I was extremely happy when coming across Trystan Photography. From our first meeting I knew we'd love the outcome of both our engagement and wedding photos. When picking our photographer we knew it would be the most important detail of the day. The photos would be the only thing that would last after the day, so we took our time interviewing all kinds of photographers, and we truly did find the best in Colorado. Trig and his wife Charlotte from Trystan Photography were absolutely amazing. They captured the day and more. We truly did get the best and have the photos to prove it.

Brilliant, personable, easygoing. That's Trystan Photography for us.

My new husband is a cinematographer, so he has a critical eye. I'm saying a lot when I say he was so happy with the way the shots turned out. Trystan Photography takes the time to set up gorgeous shots that take full advantage of your wedding's location. (We had ours outside, and there were some phenomenal wide shots.) Everyone who's seen our photos has been taken aback with their quality, beauty and creativity. I've gotten comments like, "Those are the best I've seen," and, "That looks like a movie poster."

On the wedding day, the upbeat husband-and-wife team coordinated smoothly and then stayed inconspicuous when appropriate. It was a fantastic experience. I'd definitely pick them all over again.

My husband and I worked with Trystan Photography for our engagement and wedding photos, and I also did a boudoir session. We could not have chosen better photographers. Not only are they extremely talented and creative, but they also do a great job making everyone feel comfortable and natural. What stands out about them is their ability to not only capture those intimate moments between people, but to turn it into art. We are so grateful we had our wedding captured by such incredibly gifted photographers!

Trig was awesome. We looked at several photographers, including some that were pricier, but we felt that the quality of Trig's pictures far surpassed the competition. He was flexible and willing to work with our time frame and budget. He was inconspicuous on the wedding day itself, staying out of the guests view but getting great and intimate shots. He was clear with directing us, yet really fun to work with. Not like some of those stupid photographers that ask you a question and take the picture while you are answering them. ;) Most of all though we loved the artistry that he created. Every shot looks like a masterpiece, he captured the beauty and the emotions of the day masterfully. Despite the outdoor wedding complete with snow storm and low lighting.
AMAZING! And remember. Despite the price. After the wedding, you won't be able to fit in your dress, the food will be eaten and the guests will be gone, even your memories fade.
All that remains are the pictures.
Hopefully you get as good ones as I did.

I would definitley recommend Trystan Photography for brides who don't want to stress about every last detail and are looking for high quality photos. Trystan Photography made sure that they knew exactly what we wanted and then took all the details off of our hands. They are extremely professional but at the same time super fun and relaxed. They were there for us every step of the way from compiling our list of formals to designing the photo album to answer questions and make sure that they knew what we were looking for. They are excellent, excellent photographers and you can tell that they really love and care about what they do which makes for high quality work. Definitley happy that we picked them to be our wedding photographers!

I am so happy that I chose to go with Trystan Photography. They are not only the best wedding photographers I have seen, but they are truly some of the greatest people too. They are all very fun, nice and energetic. They felt like friends taking my photos rather than a stranger at my wedding. Once I received my photos back, I was again, so happy with my choice of photographer. Their images are stunning. They captured moments I didn't get a chance to see, the captured moments that I forgot about, they captured everything... Looking at my photos, it is like reliving the whole day! They are truly wonderful people who create amazing photos!

Trystan photography is incredible! Trig and Char not only took THE most incredible photos of my big day, they were wonderful to work with. They were professional, explained details very well, made sure that they would be capturing what I was interested in, and were very up-front and honest. They didn't try to sell me right away but rather let me know the way they work and let me decide if that would fit what I was looking for. They were such fun! On our wedding day we got lots of comments from our wedding party about how much fun Trig and Char were and we couldn't stop laughing and having a good time. The pictures themselves were absolutely wonderful. They captured every moment of our wedding and gave us some amazing, original, and unique shots. They are the perfect combination of unusual and artsy with fun and traditional. Trig and Char are worth every penny!

Trystan Photography did a beautiful job on both our Engagement Session and Wedding Day pictures. Our photos are amazing! All of our friends and family members were blown away by the quality of the pictures. Some of the photos are like pieces of art. They're fantastic! On top of that, Trig and Charlotte were really great to work with. They helped organize our day to maximize photo time. Plus, they are genuinely nice, fun people. I would recommend them with no hesitations to engaged couples.

My husband, found Trystan Photography on WeddingWire, after not falling in love with any of the other work/people we met while on our whirlwind 3-day trip back to CO from NYC. Tryge was happy to meet with us on the way to the airport and we knew immediately it was a perfect fit. Not only did we have a blast working with him and Charlotte (the perfect married team, for the perfect wedding!), but the results were incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend Trystan Photography's services to any bride-to-be. They were incredibly easy to work with both during the planning stages and on my actual wedding day. All of my questions and concerns were immediately addressed beyond my expectations. Char and Trig made the whole experience fun and exciting. We couldn't have asked for better people to share such an important day with. After receiving our pictures, we were amazed at all of the small details they captured that would have otherwise been forgotten. These two were absolutely FABULOUS! Not only were they a lot of fun to work with they were also invaluable in helping to coordinate the entire event. They were the ones directing/suggesting when to do the dances and cut the cake and all that which was great because we didn't really have a set plan/schedule of our own (I know, shame on us:)). Even our guests commented on how fantastic and fun our photographers were. To top it all off the quality of product that they deliver is second to none. They did our engagement shoot as well so we had a good idea of what we would probably get but having recently seen the wedding shots I can honestly say that nothing could have prepared us for such astonishing work. We would absolutely recommend them to everyone and look forward to doing additional business with them in the future.

This is the most AMAZING photography company out there! They worked completly around my schedule and are super nice! My photos came out exactly how I wanted. Trig and Charlotte at Trystan Photography created the most amazing photos we could have ever imagined. We had a "Winter Wonderland" theme wedding in Breckenridge in December. They literally tromped through 2 feet of snow with us to make sure we got the most snowy, magical pictures. Everyone that has seen our wedding photos has literally been stunned by how beautiful they are. They look like they were taken on a movie set, actually unreal how perfectly they came out. The natural light, the snow, the christmas light dazzling in the background, and they made us look pretty darn good too! Nothing came out to pose-y, all the pictures look natural and artistic. I wish I could post one here to show it off! The only problem with Trystan Photography, was that there were so many good pictures, we ended up spending more than expected because we could not narrow them down to fit into the album! And that is a good problem to have. But, when we consider how much we spent, we realize that we weren't just paying for photos, but this is actual art that we will cherish forever!

I also have to mention the professionalism of Trig and Charlotte. We had a lot of little kids down to 2.5 years old to deal with, and they were so great with them. They managed to get great group shots, where even the little ones were smiling and standing still, which is a hard task when there are several of them! Trig and Charlotte were so sweet and excited during our wedding, that at times it felt like they were friends and guests, rather than vendors. They added a lot to our wedding, and I can't imagine having gone with anyone else!

Our experience with Trig and Charlotte was absolutely wonderful. They were everything we wanted in photographers; fun, friendly, professional, and were always there to answer any questions we had. Planning from our first meeting to the day of the wedding went smoothly. On the day of our wedding we had an unexpected snow storm blow in halfway through our outdoor picture session, Trig and Charlotte were quick with an alternative and the end results were more beautiful than I could have imagined. It was like I had 2 weddings at once! They make you forget you're taking such important photos and just let you be yourselves. I would use Trystan Photography again and again and highly recommend their courteous and fun experience. You will not be disappointed.

Trig and Char did an amazing job. We have the most amazing pictures. They really listened to our vision of our wedding. They really stepped out of the box with us to create some unqiue and timeless pictures. We have pictures that truely could be considered as art. Also, we could become long life time friends with Trig and Char just based on being great quality people. In addition I have friends getting married this October using Trystan Photography based off the fabulous work they did at out wedding. Trystan Photography was by far one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Brandon and I were absolutely thrilled with the pictures that Trygve and Char took at both our engagement setting at a local park, and of course, at the wedding :). They were fun to work with, always professional, and our families loved them too! I especially loved the "au naturel" photography, which allowed Brandon and I to be ourselves in front of the camera, and it really showed in the pictures (this was a big plus in my opinion, and for Brandon as well!) We would highly recommend Trystan Photography for any event. Not only was working with them a wonderful experience, the product was exceptional. Our wedding pictures were above and beyond what we were hoping for. Their organization and planning made our day so stress free and perfect. My husband and I are extremely happy with our decision to use Trystan Photography. Because of all the horror stories you hear about wedding photography, we were initially a little nervous because we were hiring Trystan based soley upon their website. However, any fears we may have had were quickly alleviated upon meeting with Charlotte in person. She gave us all our options, answered all our questions and showed us many different examples of their work. We felt satisfied after our meeting that Trystan Photography was a good choice. Our engagement session was so much fun and the photos turned out great. Come the day of the wedding, Charlotte and Tryg showed up right on time, were incredibly fun and professional and captured everything we asked for and then some. Recently, we were able to see the photos from our big day and we are over the moon that everything came out fantastic. No wedding day horror stories here!!

Trig and Charlotte were awesome to work with and made every interaction fun and engaging. Since we had already done engagement photos in Austin, but they came as part of this package, they let us do a family photo shoot instead. When that time came the weather was horrible and we decided to do the family shots in their studio, which still turned out amazing. Trig knew we were bummed since we chose them for their amazing landscape shots, so they went out of their way to schedule another engagement shoot for us at The Garden of the Gods. He was incredible when interacting with my 2 year old nephew and he doesn’t mind laying down in the dirt or in the middle of a road to get you the perfect shot. He had us laughing the whole time, which got some great genuine smiles, though made it pretty hard to come back from when he wanted to get a serious-face shot. Everything leading up to the wedding went smoothly and they even made a trip out to the venue to check it out ahead of time since they hadn’t shot there before.
We also booked them to do our videography, so Trig was on video and Charlotte was on photos and they both brought assistants. So we had four people catching every moment of the day, which turned out to be very helpful for all those times when the bride and groom are separate. If you are anything like me, and blackout / can’t fully recall what was said at those key moments like during your proposal or at your ceremony, then I would wholeheartedly suggest finding the extra money to get their videography. We received three videos - the full ceremony, the full toasts, and a 5 minute highlights video. I am so thankful to have all of them. The videos were so clear and the sound quality was excellent and they were able to catch all of the little detailed moments like our parents and friends tearing-up, the flower girl dumping out her whole bucket, and my silly husband waving to me as I walked down the aisle.
The photos are equally stunning. They have an amazing ability to catch the gorgeous sunlight through the clouds and still have brightness and depth to the colors. I was very happy to find out that they were able to get photos of all of our guests during dinner and they even stayed a little later for free to make sure that they got some shots of the dancing. I can’t sing their praises enough. I would chose them again and again. It took about four months to receive everything, but the photos and videos were so incredibly worth the wait!

I have used these guys for many of my photoshoots. They are wonderful photographers and great people to work with. They have a creative eye that really extenuates the person/people in the photograph! Love them so much!

These two are GREAT! They have a neat artistic ability to capture the beauty and the emotion of your special day! If you looking for something a little different then a bunch of formal pictures taken in the front of the sanctuary, you have to choose Trystan! The were flexible with our scheduling. Also, having two photographers insured we were getting more to chose from, and that not a moment was missed. Additionally, they're personable and fun to work with! I've been to weddings were the photographer was a sore-spot in the day...and these guys were like our bests friends! I couldn't be happier with my choice and will use them again in the future for maternity/family/executive photos as well!

Charlotte and Trig were great to work with from day 1. They did our engagement photos and were flexible with meeting us since we were only in town for a few days. When it came time for deciding on how long they were there on the big day, again they were flexible. They were on time the day of and kept everything running smoothly, everything remained on schedule! The only thing that I wish would have been better would be if they could of given more directions for placement of hands and such for some of the photos, particularly the formal photos. But we love our photos and definitely recommend them!

Artists. True Artists. Trig and his wife Char know how to get magic out of any setting. They are a funky couple who love to joke around and have fun so be prepared for laughter. If you want a super serious formal stiff photography session then look elsewhere. If you want photos that will amazing family and friends then they are the photographers for you. They made my fiance comfortable even though he hates being the center of attention.

Only cons are that they can be a bit behind in communication but if you stay on it everything works out.

These two photographers do not put their Point of view first, but listen to the bride and groom to make the process as simple as possible. Also, i believe they arent in to make the most money, but make the best experiences.

Our pictures are amazing and we really enjoyed our photographers! they were fun, energetic and creative. they had great suggestions and ideas for us and were very organized on both the day of the wedding and in taking our engagement photos. The pictures were exactly what we wanted and so amazing. We did have to follow up with them to get both our engagement picture and to get our wedding pic on time. we are still awaiting some of our wedding package pieces, but over all could not be happier with our expereince. I would not have wanted to work with any other photographers, and would recomend or use them again for a wedding, or baby pictures for sure!

I only wish I didnt feel rushed by photographer.... I felt like, at some points in the day, the photographer tried to take the reins. If you just take a step back and capture memories... your servcies do from above average to exceptional.
