I've never been so excited to write a review in my entire life. We were lucky enough to have Dustin as our lead photographer and Leah as our second photographer. I cannot stress enough how important it is that your photographers on your wedding day are just as wonderful as people as they are professional at their job and these two are THE DREAM TEAM. We had several meetings over the phone and Dustin actually kept me as calm as possible even though at times it felt my wedding was falling apart (typical bride craziness) and he was so sweet to me every time we talked and even offered to scout locations for me if I needed him to, and he always reminded me that he and his team will be there for me and that they will capture the most beautiful moments no matter what. When they arrived and we met in person, it was like I had known them for years. A good photographer makes you feel comfortable and effortless behind the camera. Think about it. Posing parents, siblings, wedding parties, flower girls, ring bearers, DOGS (omg, a miracle), and the bride and groom themselves all just magically meshing together posing perfectly no matter what without taking a crazy amount of time? IMPOSSIBLE. It doesn't happen with a photographer that just shows up no matter how great their work may LOOK on their perfectly hand chosen highlighted website! BUT the impossible DOES happen with Dustin and Leah BECAUSE of their warmth and also being killer at their job. They were so professional and smart. They captured each and every photo I wanted without me even having to make sure that they did. I was so worried about certain backgrounds not looking great, but Dustin and Leah went and found a beautiful background for photos that I swear to you, was not there in my eyes before they got there! But when they showed me I was in awe. How many photographers do you know truly scout a location to make sure you don't miss any beauty at your wedding? So many photographers would just find the basics (which is what I was finding), but this team went above and beyond for me. Dustin even fixed my hair for a photo which I highly appreciated because I can't tell you how many times I've seen wedding photos and hair is in someone's face, someones tux is folded up, or a flower girl's shoe fell off, haha! Their creativity, eye for perfection, and professionalism are unmatched. Your wedding day truly does go by so incredibly fast and it's important to have those memorable moments captured by professionals who make you feel comfortable so that the photos look like you were simply having the best day of your life without any awkward posing or nonsense. Natural moments of pure joy are our photos but they look so planned. My husband and I could not have chosen a better company. Everyone at my wedding was talking about how great our photographers were. They are a team of photographers, and I'm sure that anyone from True Photography we would have chosen would have given us these results. But I am biased, so I will say when you book them, and you should like right now...ask for Dustin and Leah ;)
I will add here that we had Ryan as our videographer through Tidal Wedding Films because these two INCREDIBLE companies are connected and SO EASILY bookable and affordable together and I can't recommend these three ENOUGH. The perfect trio, they meshed SO well and we all had a blast together and I haven't stopped looking at our photos since I got them back. I will say that compared to a lot of other photographers I looked at, their price is more affordable than most and the quality of work FAR exceeds their price point. If you are looking for pricing that makes sense, photographers who care about the quality of their work, your happiness on your wedding day, and feeling confident throughout that entire day and every time you look at pictures afterwards, then look no further!True Photography and Video's reply:

We have been working and refining our craft for 20 years now. We make sure to spend an equal amount of energy on of course creating great imagery, but also make sure it is paired with an enjoyable experience. This starts from the first phone call to the day your images are delivered. I have always believed that everything you experience from beginning to end is all part of creating a happy memory. Oh my goodness, I cannot speak higher of the Pauleen and Dustin duo. My wedding day was kick-started PERFECTLY with their guidance and energy and I would not imagine my wedding day with anyone else. The second photographer, Jenn, she killlled it with all the groom's photos. So many awesome snaps were taken for me to look back on moments I missed throughout the day. Some amazing shots of my guests just enjoying themselves have been my favorite to look back at. Thank you so so much to Pauleen , Dustin, and Jenn!!
Also, before Dustin entered my bridal suite, Pauleen asked if it was okay for him to enter, and I think even her going that extra step to ask if he could enter really was so sweet and I am so touched she was so thoughtful. During my big day when I just felt like Mickey Mouse smiling for the crowd, Pauleen and Dustin kept the energy upbeat and kept reminding me to breathe. Loved them so much!! Can't imagine my day without them. We also snuck into the Windmill Food Hall arcade to sneak some photos since we were so good on our timeline and they turned out to be some of my favorite photos! We had an absolutely amazing experience working with Chelsea, Alex, Kyle, and the True Photography team for our wedding weekend.
We had multiple calls with Jen who helped us plan and finalize details for the wedding weekend and made us feel confident in our decision! She then paired us with Chelsea as our day-of lead photographer. From the moment we met Chelsea, it was clear she was the perfect fit for us. She brought such an incredible energy to the entire weekend—fun, warm, and engaging—while still keeping everything organized and on track. She struck that rare balance of being both highly professional and genuinely enjoyable to be around, which made such a difference throughout the day.
One of the things we appreciated most was how seamlessly she guided us through all of the photos. Everything moved quickly and efficiently, but never felt rushed or stressful. We were able to stay present and actually enjoy the process, and in the end, we got every single shot we had hoped for (and so many more we’ll treasure!).
We also want to give a huge thank you to Alex, who was equally wonderful to work with—kind, supportive, and a great presence throughout the day.
Overall, we are so grateful to the entire True Photography team for capturing our wedding so beautifully. We found True through our venue, Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens (listed as a preferred vendor), and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The True team has been helpful, attentive, and communicative since the very beginning of booking. We met our lead photographer, Anita, last year when we did our engagement shoot and fell in love! My husband does NOT like getting his photo taken but Anita helped him feel comfortable and as natural as possible from the very start. After seeing our gorgeous engagement pictures, we knew our wedding photos were going to be phenomenal. Our wedding day team was top notch. Anita was the ultimate hype girl while maintaining a beautiful level of professionalism. My girls all commented on how easy it was to feel confident and amazing while Anita was in charge. Brian captured incredible details and moments we wouldn’t have even noticed if he hadn’t had the eye for them. And the video Dustin got was unmatched - drone and all! We received our photos back in record time and our videos came back just over one week after our wedding! Great Experience
The photographer Pauleen from TruePhotography on our wedding day was so professional and we LOVE the pictures. I told her we couldn’t have come up with the poses on our own and she was great with getting us together after the ceremony because I think we were both a little scattered at first. She captured everything we wanted by herself. I also appreciated how she made sure to get a picture of us with the cake because Cameron and I just wanted a quick pic with it but we weren’t paying attention to the time. We got married on November 20th, 2025 at the Cuvier Club in La Jolla, CA, and hiring Parker and Kyle from True Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They were fantastic through and through.
From the moment they arrived, Parker and Kyle brought the perfect balance of professionalism, creativity, and genuine warmth. They made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, guided us when we needed it, and somehow captured every meaningful moment without ever feeling intrusive.

True Photography was AMAZING!! Our lead photographer, Josie, really helped capture our day and helped our large group be organized enough to get all our key photos. She worked alongside our videographer amazingly and we couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out! The sprinklers turned on during our after-ceremony shoot and the team handled it so professionally but also captured the moments, allowing us to have a great laugh about it. Turnaround time for the pictures was so fast, we got them back in 7 days. If you are thinking about hiring them, 10/10 recommend. We had such a great experience with this photography team! One thing that really stood out to me was how they assign photographers based on how familiar they are with the venue. That gave me so much peace of mind knowing our photographer would already know the best spots, angles, and lighting.
We booked Pauleen for both our engagement shoot and our wedding day, and we absolutely loved working with her. She made us feel comfortable, gave us tons of beautiful options for our save the dates, and I knew right away we’d get amazing wedding photos too.
The turnaround time was also super impressive. They have an in-house editing team dedicated to retouching photos, while the photographers focus only on shooting. Because of that, we got our wedding gallery back faster than any of the other companies I had looked into.

True Photography (Megan O. as our lead photographer, Natasha as our 2nd photographer, and Michael as our videographer) was hands down the easiest decision we made for our wedding. Looking at their portfolio, we knew hands down they were THE people we wanted to capture our special day. Communication was top notch since day 1 up until day of! We also worked with Avalon who helped us with any questions we had - she was also amazing.
The day of the wedding Megan, Natasha, and Michael were each incredible. Megan was our lead photographer so we spent most of our time with her and was soooo helpful and really makes you feel comfortable and amazing in front of the camera. We felt like we were in great hands the entire time.
And as expected, our photos came out AMAZING. So many pictures and we love them all. Waiting on our video currently but I'm sure that will come out amazing as well! The only way True Photo/Video knows how!True Photography and Video's reply:

Thank you True Photography for our amazing wedding photos. They are easy to work with, super responsive, and a very professional company. We found true photography through our venue’s list of recommended photographers. We looked through the photos at our venue and loved them, and we specifically loved one photographer, Voytek (each photographer credit is listed on photos). He had the most amazing wedding photos we had seen. We booked true photography because we wanted Voytek as our photographer. However, when we called and spoke with the owner to set up our wedding, we told him that we wanted to request Voytek, and he told us he had just moved to Utah. He was still contracted for that year with True Photography, however, and was able to make it out to do our wedding photos. We were ecstatic, and so happy with our photos. Voytek is a true professional, he came well dressed and took the most amazing photos. He worked closely with all of our guests and knew how to talk to and instruct people well for the photos. We are grateful to True Photography for making sure we got Voytek as our photographer.
Our other photographer, Sam, was the secondary, and just being completely transparent, we would have preferred someone else. Voytek carried the show. However, we informed the owner and he was very receptive to our thoughts about her.
Thank you, Voytek, for making our wedding special and beautiful. We will have these amazing photos forever because of you!

We are so happy we went with True Photography- we love that their editing style isn’t the trending color filter and that they let us see every single photo that was taken. Getting an accurate quote using their website was so easy and straightforward. We opted for “new talent” and with a military discount, we were able to add a second shooter which was 100% worth it!. Jen H was our main photographer and she was fantastic at taking to heart what we told her about family being everything to us - she went out of her way to make sure we got all the shots on the extensive family photos list, and even took the time to take couples portraits of my grandparents and my aunt & uncle since it was also their anniversary! She was great at directing the family, was firm when she needed to be but friendly & smiling the entire time to keep the timeline rolling. She was great at getting the kiddos to look at the camera too, and was ALL IN when we told her we wanted to do a water gun exit! The photos came out great and we are so happy we had Jen to be a part of our day. There were a couple poses that I absolutely wanted to get captured and he was happy to do so. It was very comfortable working with them, there was no awkwardness, they were both just great! We LOVED True Photography! Our lead photographer was Avalon and from the engagement shoots to the wedding day she was a delight. She was able to mesmerize our four nieces and nephews to get the perfect shot, worked with us to get our photos done quickly but still get everything we wanted and delivered photos even more magical than we hoped for. We also opted to have a second photographer on the wedding day since we had a rather large wedding party and a big wedding, and Christina did a fantastic job capturing details and the groom and groomsmen. My mother was gushing about both photographers afterwards and really appreciated that they captured the guests and our wider family rather than just us and the wedding party (while still getting all our intimate photos!). 1) Communication was excellent the whole way through and from every single team member.
2) We had our wedding pictures back in less than a week! (And they were beautiful.)
3) Our video was ready shortly after and it was also great -- but, wait! There's more! We were even able to do a round of editing with our feedback at no extra cost to make it even more wonderful.

Absolutely stellar work and service. My wife and I hired True Photography & Video to take photographs and video of our wedding in July 2022.
Our photographers were Avalon and Cort and they were truly a dream team! We met with Avalon, our lead photographer, a few times before the big day to get an idea of our timeline, photo locations, and types of photos we wanted to capture our day. She was instrumental in helping us make all of those decisions as well as appropriately padding our timeline to allow for us to get everything in. She walked our First Look location in Balboa Park with us so that everyone was on the same page and the big day would go off without a hitch. There are many great duos in the sports, especially in the NBA. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Kobe and Shaq, Lebron James and DeWayne Wade. Avalon and Cort are the wedding photographer equivalents of these great duos. They were able to corral our large wedding party (20) as well as our immediate family members (14) from shot location to shot location and kept everything on schedule. They were great at providing feedback and instructions on how to pose so that our pictures came out amazing. They were also very subtle during the ceremony and reception so that they were able to capture all of our great moments without drawing attention to themselves or obstructing anyone's view. I truly could not recommend a better team.
Our videographer was Dustin and he did an amazing job as well. Similarly to Avalon and Cort, he was able to discretely record our ceremony and reception while still getting amazing shots of the events. The video was spectacular and my wife and I are grateful that we have those moments captured forever.
The final reason I would recommend True Photography and Video is their editing team. We had an outdoor ceremony as well as a reception with an evening skyline view of San Diego. Their team expertly removed all shadows and flashes in the photos for each event. They are superb pictures that came out better than we could ever imagine!True Photography and Video's reply:

Aaron, Avalon (our wedding day photographer), and the entire True Photography staff were amazing to work with. They are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They knew our venue (SSF) and had great ideas/places to shoot pictures, etc. Our wedding was postponed twice (read three separate wedding dates) due to the global covid pandemic. Aaron and his staff were so easy to work with and were very reasonable. Our contract for both photography and videography was honored even though pricing was from 2019 and the wedding happened in 2022 (which I can say our catering did not honor the original contract) which we greatly appreciated. They are responsive and communicative. On the day of the wedding Avalon, our photographer, came early to look around our getting ready site (airbnb venue) to find spots for the getting ready pictures. She was fun to work with and had great personality. Her assistant Robby (think I spelled it correctly) was also great. We are in love with all of our pictures!! I appreciate Avalon's attention to detail for the pictures. The pictures are amazing and all of our friends and family are also in love with the pictures. We have THE BEST pictures from our wedding. Michael was our photographer and he captured everything we wanted. He was so fun to work with and got really creative with some of our pics. He was quick and efficient. We even had time to go to our cocktail hour for a bit!
We had to postpone our wedding twice. True photography made it stress free for us. We were able to change our dates with no problem at all. They were quick to respond and very helpful.

Wow! If you're looking for great photographers, look no further. We booked True Photography for our wedding back in September 2019. Our original wedding date needed to be pushed back (stupid Covid), but True Photography made the transition easy and seamless.
We were assigned Avalon R. as our lead photographer. She took our engagement photos and did a phenomenal job! We brought our two elderly Yorkies with us to the photoshoot, which I'm sure wasn't easy, but Avalon was amazing. She was down on her stomach making sure to capture super cute pictures of our babies.
Avalon was also our lead photographer for our wedding, and Sam was our second shooter. I can't even tell you how many comments we got from family and other guests about how amazing they were. They made all of us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Avalon especially went above and beyond. She was moving furniture, cleaning up our messy bridal suite, making silly noises to get our new puppy to look at the camera, and she even helped sew a button back on my dress when it popped off while I was getting ready!
We just got our pictures back (over 3,500!) and I can't wait to sit down and go over them all. Our sneak peek photos are incredible, and I know the rest will be amazing, too. Thank you SO MUCH to Avalon, Sam, and the rest of the True Photography team. It was a pleasure working with you all!! -

True Photography is SD county's premier wedding photography service, and it is easy to see why as soon as you start the process. They are very responsive, and in fact the CEO called us right after we put in an inquiry to learn more about what we were looking for and he could rattle off when sunset would be at our venue on the date of our wedding without a second thought. He was very honest about their services and never tried to up-sell us which is always a plus. We went with both their engagement and wedding package, which I do recommend for anyone looking for a photographer as the engagement photoshoot will give you a good idea if you like your photographer and their style for the actual wedding. (Side note: we chose the "choose our photographer" for us option for the actual wedding as it came at a discount and we felt all of their photographers were excellent, but True Photography made sure to match us with the same photographer we had for the engagement regardless, which was a huge bonus because we loved her.) Our actual primary photographer Megan Ousset is the best in the world and we would highly highly highly recommend her to anyone. She has such amazing energy, makes you feel so comfortable and is such a genuinely lovely person to work with. We would gladly be friends with her, that's how awesome she is. We got so many compliments from our wedding guests about what a great photographer she was and how comfortable she made everyone feel. Megan is great at taking creative candid photos and staged photos so that they feel fresh and are really tailored to enhance our best features. She gives great direction so there is never any awkward posing or silences, and really maximizes time so that you are not left feeling like you are missing any shots. We would also like to thank Katie who was assistant photographer on the day of, as she was also excellent-- she worked very well with Megan to ensure we got all the shots in all the angles possible. Both were extremely professional and worked well with our videography vendor, always checking in to make sure that they also got the shots they needed. And finally, can I just say that True Photography's customer service is really on point? They have a very easy to use, sleek database so it is easy to download/share your photos and search for vendors. While putting in the vendors that we used, I noticed that there were several vendors that weren't on their list that I wanted to recognize. They were very quick to add them into the system and are actually working on creating a tattoo vendor option just because I asked for one! Even though they are a large company, they feel very personal and intimate and are truly passionate about their craft. True Photography was amazing to work with! Aaron was beyond personal and professional from the very first phone call all the way through the planning process! We originally had our wedding planned for Coronado in October 2021 and decided to move it to our family farm in Michigan with Covid. Aaron was so helpful and accommodating with making changes and figuring out the travels plans to make the Michigan destination possible. Before our large Michigan wedding, we did a small Coronado ceremony which Jenny T. did a great job capturing! We had Jennifer H for both our engagement photos and Michigan wedding....LOVE her! She is so down-to-earth and an absolute GEM to work with! I am SO thankful she was willing to make the long trip! I can't imagine our wedding day without her. Dustin was our videographer and was incredible to work with as well! Both him and Jennifer went above and beyond and even captured our wedding rehearsal night. I have no words to express the professionalism from our photographer Avalon - She was amazing!
She made us feel so comfortable and was able to helps us capture the most special moments from our special day!

My husband and I were SO happy with True Photography. Not only were the photos absolutely gorgeous, but we actually got Aaron, the owner, as our main photographer because our photographer got sick. Everyone at the wedding raved about how great the photographers were and I would absolutely recommend them to a friend.
I got all of the photos that they shot. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was that during the entire ceremony, the second photographer stayed upstairs and took a bunch of aerial shots instead of being downstairs and getting photos of us (or family members) during the ceremony at the same time. I will say, however, Aaron did a good job of trying to get my husband's reaction and mine.
Overall, 5/5 stars because both of the photographers were so cool and very artistic. Aaron even had us take some photos on his scooter! He even gifted us an 11x14 photo of our choosing a few months later. :) -

Aaron from True Photography was so kind and helpful during our wedding planning. I had so much anxiety being a Covid bride and having to reschedule our wedding once, but Aaron was so accommodating and wonderful throughout the whole process.
We received a phone call from our photographer, Amber, about a month before our big day and she was extremely diligent in making sure we had all the pictures we wanted from our wedding. She knew what time sunset was going to be the night of our wedding and made sure we got our "golden hour" pictures. They were also very efficient with sending us our gallery within a timely manner and when we saw the results of the entirety of our wedding day, Shaun and I were amazed at how much thought, time, and effort Amber and Emily (our second photographer) put into making our photos reflect how beautiful and amazing the night was. Everyone told me to soak up each moment because everything will be a blur and we were thrilled to be reliving our wedding through our gallery.

A Great Experience
Getting married during a pandemic (April 2021) can be stressful, so working with professionals who not only have the typical eye for detail but also who communicate so thoroughly, and are accommodating, flexible, and have their clients' and their clients' family's health and safety in mind allows getting married to be the blissful event that it should be. From the phone, to email, to the client portal and contract, everything was clear and above board. All of my questions were answered, and the photographer, Leah Franks, was not only professional, but also delightful to work with. She captured our day beautifully, especially considering that she was the sole photographer. It isn't easy to capture everything by yourself, but she managed with aplomb, and also kept everything running smoothly and on time.
I would definitely recommend them do anyone looking to make memories of a special event. -

We cannot say enough good things about True Photography and our Lead Photographer Dustin S. We hired True Ph back in 2019 for our original 2020 wedding at Calamigos Ranch. When we realized COVID wasn’t going anywhere and decided to postpone to 2021, True Photography was so flexible and understanding. Aaron helped us immediately moved our date to a still peak summer wedding date in 2021 all while keeping the same lead photographer who also did our engagement shoot. My husband does not like taking photos at all and so originally I was nervous for our engagement photos but Dustin did such a good job making us feel comfortable that our photos turned out amazing! Then when it came to our wedding, Dustin and his second shooter truly went above and beyond. From being extremely professional, attentive to detail, extremely efficient to help make sure we stayed on schedule, navigating the complex property, coming up with creative and stunning photos, directing a crazy and hot mess bridal party, as well as herding a huge amount of family members for family photos, all while remaining extremely calm and professional. Every single family member and bridal party of mine at one point during the evening or next day, complimented our photographer and told me how impressed they were at how efficient and yet still kind and caring our photographer was. We could not be more happy with our photos. Not only is the lighting and technical aspect perfect, but the speed of editing and turnover time is amazing. Within two days of our wedding we already had our sneak peak photos and received our highlights gallery within one week. So impressed at their efficiency and care. Would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you again True Photography, Dustin, and Michael for everything you did for us. We will treasure our photos for a lifetime. -

Aaron and Michael from true photography hit it out of the park!!! From the beginning we had a meeting with Aaron and his awesome personality and professionalism made it such an easy decision for us to go with true photography. True Photography was AMAZING! As soon as I got off the phone with Aaron, I knew that I wanted to work with True Photography. Aaron was so nice, very responsive, and gave me great suggestions (due to COVID we had to, of course, change our original wedding plans). My husband and I hired a different vendor for our engagement photos and it was such an uncomfortable experience so we were a little bit nervous about our wedding photos. However, I'm so glad we hired True Photography. Joey was our lead photographer and Leah our second photographer. They made us feel so comfortable and took BEAUTIFUL photos! The absolute best wedding photographer in Southern California! She doesn't take pictures, she creates magic. She was our wedding photographer years ago (We got married in 2013) and her photos are still something that my wife and I absolutely cherish.
Her photography is timeless. She has a way of capturing the emotion, the memories, and the love like I've never seen before. True Photography was hands down some of the best money we've spent! When we planned our wedding, we knew that the we wanted to hire the best photographer that we could find. We figured the food only lasted a meal, the decorations - we'd forget, but the photos would last a lifetime!
After spending hours looking through countless photographers, we found them and we knew instantly True Photography was who we wanted to go with.
The whole experience was amazing! They were extremely professional, know how to take charge and make it stress free - so you can focus on enjoying your special day and not worrying about any of the details.

Aaron and his team at True Photography are the absolute BEST! Their work is stunning and their service exceptional! I was blown away with their photos when I was doing my research on photographers and knew I wanted to book them for our engagement photos and wedding day. We had a short engagement, only 5 months, and Aaron was so helpful from the very beginning, providing ideas for venues and engagement photo locations and making himself available to answer any questions.
Avalon was our lead photographer for our engagement photoshoot at Scripps Seaside Forum and we were absolutely blown away with her work! She transformed our photos from a cloudy day to beautiful pieces of art. My husband is 6'4" and I am only 5' tall, but Avalon knew how to work with our height difference for all our photos and provided us detailed direction throughout the shoot to capture us both in the most flattering way. Avalon's upbeat energy and personality made us both feel so comfortable and we had so much fun the time flew by! We knew wanted her to photograph our wedding day and Aaron was able to make that happen for us!
On our wedding day, Avalon and our second photographer, Valerie, did an amazing job capturing all the photos that we wanted and were both an absolute joy to work with! They were so efficient, punctual, professional and worked well with our venue, wedding coordinator and other venders. We did not feel rushed or stressed at all during our wedding day because they followed our timeline perfectly. When we received our wedding photos once again we were blown away! We received so many compliments from our other venders, family and friends on how gorgeous our photos from our engagement photo shoot and wedding day came out. Even my father in law, who is a photographer in his own right, complimented on how well the editing was for our photos.
When we ordered our wedding album, April was the one who helped design our wedding album. She communicated with us so efficiently and was so patient and kind throughout the entire process. She made sure we were both happy with every last detail. She responded quickly to all our emails and accommodated the changes we requested right away! We are looking forward to receiving our wedding album soon!
We cannot thank True Photography enough for their amazing work of capturing all the precious moments on our wedding day and engagement! True Photography was absolutely AMAZING to work with and Billy E (lead photographer) was the most brilliant and talented photographer! We are so in love with our photos (10,000+ of them!) and can't thank the entire team enough for capturing our special day so perfectly! Aaron was awesome and helped us figure out which package was right for us. He was very responsive and super friendly. It was such a pleasure working with him especially during a time like wedding planning when everything is so chaotic...he just made us feel so comfortable and it was very easy to set everything up. Billy E is by far the best photographer and he is just the coolest guy ever! After I saw his portfolio online, I knew he had to capture my wedding day :) He even met with us before the wedding at our wedding location and spoke with us multiple times throughout the process so he knew exactly what we wanted. Our other photographer, Avalon, was awesome! She had such great vision and helped me throughout the day showing me different shots we should take. Our photographer was one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding. My fiance found them and really liked the sample photos online so we went ahead and booked. The actual booking was very easy and the price was reasonable. The experience we had with them leading up to the wedding was nice. We booked Dustin and Samantha. Dustin gave us a call and we went over the basics of our wedding and then we communicated via email for a shot list and other such details. Day of was really great. Dustin and Sam were in constant contact with us from the morning of the wedding. They were very friendly and good with organizing and helping us get the shots that we wanted. They took candid pictures while we got ready with some posed ones as well. When we came together for the first look and everything after that they worked together really well to get the best shots. Dustin took the lead and was friendly but also authoritative enough to get everyone to be where they needed to be for pictures. We got married on the shortest day of the year so we were worried we wouldn't have enough time with sunlight to get all the pictures but Dustin and Sam managed it so well. We did so well with the timing of the pictures and getting everything we needed, in fact, that my wife and I had enough time to sit by ourselves and relax for a little while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour. They were everywhere during the reception, without being in the way, and it looks like they got a lot of really good pictures. I can't wait to see the finished product! -

When I booked my venue at the dreamy Scripps Seaside Forum I knew it could be difficult for any photographer to get the perfect romantic shot with unpredictable beach light. I wanted to hire someone who had lots of experience with Scripps so I found True Photography. After my first phone call with Aaron, the owner, I heard the passion in his voice and I felt safe with him and his team! Wedding day, my head photographer Avalon was everything I needed and more. I told her multiple times throughout the day that she had found her calling because I felt so comfortable and beautiful, which is hard for someone who’s unphotogenic. Even in times where certain poses felt awkward she would turn the camera around and show my husband and I her magic set up and frame! I cannot wait until we get to see our edits soon but I have no doubt in my mind there are tons of wonderful shots that will last a lifetime! Thank you thank you thank you! -

We were referred to True Photography by two different couples and after seeing their photographs, I was in love!! Before signing up, I had a few questions and the owner, Aaron, patiently answered all of them during a 45 min phone call! That type of customer service is very rare and I definitely appreciated it. Our engagement shoot was shot at Sunset Cliffs by Amber F and she was phenomenal. She was very artistic and captured some beautiful shots. She was also very patient with me as I had a few poses that I wanted and she captured them exactly as how I envisioned them. Our wedding photographer was Joey B and he was so down to earth and professional. His calm energy is exactly what we needed on the big day! Voytek and Jennifer are two incredible photographers and we could not be happier that we selected True Photography to capture our special day! Not only is their work brilliant, but they are an absolute pleasure to work with (before, during and after the event), and the whole process was a breeze! We selected True Photography because of their very positive reviews, but also because their work had such a natural and relaxed feel to it as opposed to some of the other vendors we looked at. Every single wedding gallery has a unique personality to it and you feel like you can get to know each couple and relive the experience through their photos.
Our wedding photos are simply stunning! We could not believe the quality, quantity and variety of photos we got back. They were able to capture all of the “big” moments throughout the day, but also so many little ones that we either didn’t remember or weren’t there to see. We always feel so awkward when it comes to being photographed, but they made us feel completely comfortable and actually excited with all of their tips and creative placements.

Cannot recommend this company enough. They are partnered with our venue and heavily recommended, so it was an easy choice. We already knew our photos would be awesome, but when we received our highlights (over 100 photos) within a week after our wedding we were stoked with the fast turnaround. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, we can't wait to see the rest. Not only is the end result wonderful, but they're just awesome people to work with. The owner was super kind and helpful in answering all of my questions before I booked. They have a payment system that allows you to split up your payments, which I found to be very convenient with so many other wedding costs. Our two photographers on our wedding day were Berlynn and Elaine. Berlynn was with me the whole day and she just has the BEST energy, super easy to get along with, she's funny, she listened to me when I told her any random little shots I wanted, and she's super talented to boot. My husband and his dudes had Elaine and he said she was super chill, fun, and made them all feel comfortable during their photos. She also got some amazing detail shots of our wedding before everyone arrived that I appreciate so much. Incredible job, we are super satisfied clients. -

When I started planning my wedding I knew that my photographer was going to be my most important vendor. True Photography was hands down the best decision I could have made. I was matched with Voytek and Linda and could not be more thrilled with them. We were lucky to have Amber as our photographer, she was amazing and so helpful with everything. She kept everything on schedule and helped me when I needed her. She was fun and we really enjoyed her creativity. I don’t think our photos would have ever came out so well without her. True Photography was phenomenal!! Voytek was our lead and he exceeded our expectations! From the beginning the True Photography team was so professional and quick to answer any questions/ concerns I had. I was a little concerned in the beginning being assigned to a photographer not knowing who it would be but Aaron (the owner) assured me that all of their photographers were professional and had the same style. And Aaron was totally right! I was so impressed with Voytek and his style, eye for detail, giving us direction and he knew how to work the angles in every shot to make sure it was perfect. I loved working with Maddie! We haven't even received all our pictures back yet, but I'm IN LOVE with the highlights she sent and I am still in awe that we have more coming. She made us feel so comfortable, and she helped everyone (parents, grandparents, wedding party, etc.) feel at ease but show our fun personalities in the shots. She used the stunning lighting for beautifully artistic shots, and she found overlooked photo opportunity spots that make our pictures feel unique. Ciara and Avalon are amazing
I hired Ciara for my wedding day and she has delivered exactly what i wanted! Ciara was very professional from the consultation through the big day. She asked great questions to get a feel for the aesthetic I wanted for our wedding photos. She has a great eye and really captured the modern feel i was looking for in my wedding photos. Her eye for details really made the details of my venue pop in the photos.
Avalon-our second shooter- was so much fun and did a great job of keeping the energy of our guest and wedding party high and capturing that energy in the photos.
Both ladies were so creative in staging our photos and they had great energy and demeanor despite the hectic nature of our wedding day. They make the perfect duo! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!! -

This has to be the BEST photography team in San Diego!!! Where do I even begin?!? My husband and I are from the Bay Area and were planning a destination coastal wedding in San Diego in December 2018. We started planning 1 year out from our wedding date. After looking over several reviews from other photography firms, we ended up reaching out to True Photography based upon their amazing reviews AND their awesome gallery on their website. We heard back from the owner, Aaron Feldman within an hour and he spoke with us for at least 40 minutes getting to know us and explaining his services to us!! Who does that on first contact??? He put us right at ease and was so incredible to work with. My husband is in the photography industry and had several questions which Aaron answered easily and fully. We ended up even adding one of True's suggested videographers, Dustin Sheffield (another review to follow for his amazing talent!!) to our team at a later date!!! Our photographer was Jennifer Hathaway and once she was assigned to us, she immediately reached out to get to know us! Same for Dustin! We had the A Team for sure!! They all worked so well together!! We cannot even begin to describe how INCREDIBLE the shots (and video) came out!!! And TIMELY!! WOWWWWW!!! Jennifer did such an AMAZING job capturing every possible moment and then some that we could ever have dreamt of! She was so professional, friendly, put us all at ease, sweet, and extremely focused. She is so talented and not only did she capture the shots that we had wanted, she took us to a whole other dimension of creativity!! I cannot say enough great things about Jennifer and True Photography!!! This is THE team for your dream wedding and any other special event you want to have memorialized with fabulous and timeless photographs. Absolutely Incredible!!!!!
WOW!! The pictures could not be any more gorgeous. From the beginning, Aaron, was easy to work with. He was so personable and helped us find the right package for what we were looking for. He helped us set up our engagement shoot with Voytek S. Voytek S is a creative genius and made the entire shoot so easy and fun. We received so many compliments on our engagement photos and couldn't wait until the wedding. Well guess what, the wedding photos did not disappoint. The pictures are INSANE and completely exceeded any expectations we may have had. Voytek S. was our lead photographer and Ryan James as our 2nd photographer and he was equally amazing. What a team! We also used Dustin S. (lead ) and Jim (second) for videography through True Photography. Was just saw our 50 second teaser video and are dying to see more. I can not recommend this team enough. Trust them and let them do their thing-they know exactly what they are doing. We could not be happier with this incredible crew! -
